Praying Without Ceasing

“쉬지 말고 기도하라”(살전 5:17)

성경에서 “쉬지 말고 기도하라”고 말할 때 이것은 무슨 의미입니까? 게다가 쉬지 않고 기도한다는 것이 가능한 일입니까? 하나님은 절대 우리가 할 수 없는 일을 시키지 않으십니다. 먼저 오늘의 본문 구절에서 사도 바울은 개인이 아닌 데살로니가 교회를 향해 말했음을 이해하십시오. 어떻게 교회가 쉬지 않고 기도할 수 있었겠습니까? 답은 간단합니다. 계획을 세우는 것입니다.

이것이 우리가 2020년부터 크리스 목사님과 함께 생중계 “기도회”에서 하고 있는 일입니다. 우리는 일 년 내내 매일 쉬지 않고 기도할 수 있도록 끊임없는 기도 사슬을 계획합니다. 우리의 진심 어린 지속적인 기도를 통해 우리는 변화를 일으키고 이 땅에서 아버지의 뜻을 실행하고 있습니다.

이 영적 권면을 과장된 표현으로 받아들이지 마십시오. 하나님의 말씀을 진지하게 받아들이십시오. 당신이 이런 명확한 성령의 지시를 재해석한다면 그 의미는 약해지고 그 지시에 담긴 능력을 잃게 됩니다. 가족이나 그룹으로 정해진 시간 동안 기도할 계획을 세웠다면 그 계획을 충실히 행하십시오. 하루 중 다른 시간에 기도할 사람들과 계획을 짜고 기도 사슬을 만드십시오.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 날마다 기도하는 마지막 때의 군대를 일으켜 주심에 감사드립니다. 우리는 효과적이며 역동적으로 역사하는 진심 어리고 지속적인 기도를 통해 이 땅에 당신의 뜻을 행합니다. 나는 당신의 의가 이 땅과 사람들의 심령에 세워지도록 전 세계 나라들을 위해 기도합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

PRAYING WITHOUT CEASING

Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

When the Bible says, “Pray without ceasing,” what does it mean? Moreover, how is that even possible? God never tells us to do something we couldn’t do. First, understand that in the verse above, the Apostle Paul wasn’t addressing an individual, but the church in Thessalonica. How could they have prayed without ceasing as a church? It’s simple; it’s by scheduling.

That’s what we’ve done since 2020 with the Pastor Chris Live “Pray-A-Thon.” We worked out a schedule so we could pray without ceasing, round the clock, every day, all year-round in a non-stop prayer-chain. Through our heartfelt, continued prayers, we’re causing changes and enforcing the will of the Father here on earth.

Never take this spiritual admonition as an exaggeration; take the Word of God seriously. When you re-interpret such clear instructions of the Spirit, you weaken the meaning and then lose the power of it. If as a family, or a group, you plan to pray for a specific number of hours, commit to it. Form a prayer chain; schedule those who would pray at different times during the day.

Let’s say, Susan, for example, takes a certain number of minutes; then Dave follows, and Casey takes the next slot, and Ben takes another and so on, such that no one breaks the chain. If you’d do this diligently, you’d be amazed at the giant leaps and strides you’d experience in the spirit. He didn’t ask us to pray without ceasing for nothing. The joy of it all is the answers we receive. Hallelujah!

Remember, the Church is the only restraining force against the evil manipulations and dictates of Satan. Through our prayers, we contend for the souls of men, and cancel the wicked plans of the devil, and establish the will of God in the earth. Always take advantage of the privilege, opportunity and blessings of prayer. When it’s time to pray, avoid all forms of distractions. If you’re going to walk in God’s unusual blessings continually, then you must pray without ceasing.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for raising an end-time army given to prayers, day in day out, enforcing your will in the earth through heartfelt, continued prayer, which is effective and dynamic in its working. I pray that your righteousness will be established in the earth and in the hearts of men, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Managing Your Body

“그러므로 형제들아 내가 하나님의 모든 자비하심으로 너희를 권하노니 너희 몸을 하나님이 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제물로 드리라 이는 너희가 드릴 영적 예배니라”(롬 12:1)

거듭난 당신의 몸은 하나님의 성전이지만, 그 성전의 관리자 혹은 청지기는 바로 당신입니다. 당신의 몸을 하나님께서 사용하실 수 있는 최상의 상태로 관리하고 건강하게 유지하는 것은 당신의 책임입니다. 사탄은 당신의 몸을 파괴하기 위해 무슨 일이든 할 것입니다. 당신이 그를 허용한다면, 그는 당신의 몸 안에서 날뛰며 돌아다닐 것입니다. 그러므로 당신은 반드시 “안돼.”라고 말해야 합니다.

로마서 12:2은 말합니다. “너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아…” 당신의 마음(생각)을 관리하는 것이 당신의 일이듯이, 당신의 몸을 관리하는 것도 당신의 책임입니다. 당신의 마음을 새롭게 하거나 관리하는 일은 말씀을 통해서 가능합니다. 말씀을 묵상하는 것입니다! 또한 그것은 당신의 몸을 관리하고 신성한 건강을 유지하는 방법이기도 합니다. 성경은 하나님의 말씀이 약이며 당신의 육체에 건강이 된다고 말합니다(잠 4:22).

고백

질병은 내 본성에 속하지 않습니다. 나는 그리스도 예수 안에서 새로운 피조물이며, 그리스도는 나의 신성한 건강을 위한 계획을 완수하셨습니다. 그러므로 나는 아프기를 거절합니다! 나는 신성한 건강을 누리게 하는 하나님의 초자연적인 생명인 조에(Zoe)를 가지고 있습니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

MANAGING YOUR BODY

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1).

Being born again, though your body is the temple of God, you’re its caretaker or custodian. It’s your responsibility to manage your body and keep it in health, in its utmost shape for God to use. Satan will try to do anything to ravage your body;

he’ll run rampage in your body if you let him; but you must say, “No!”

Recall what we read in our theme verse; it says, “… present your bodies a living sacrifice….” God doesn’t do the “presenting” for you; rather, He tells you to present your body to Him. He gave you the authority to manage your body. This is why some Christians, even though they’ve received the Holy Spirit, can still be sick in their bodies. The reason is they’re the ones in charge of their bodies. God has a right to rule your body, but He appointed you to rule it for Him.

Imagine the Mayor of a city; he has the authority to run the city, but he doesn’t run the individual homes in the city. He leaves the running of your home to you.

It’s the same with your body; you have to stop the devil from manipulating any part of your body. Use

the authority that’s been granted you in Christ; use the Name of Jesus.

Furthermore, the Bible says you were bought with a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s (1 Corinthians 6:20). You’re a spirit; you have a soul and live in a body. Your soul is the seat of your mind, your emotions and your will.

God doesn’t control your will, your emotions, and your mind; He tells you to do that.

The Bible says in Romans 12:2, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind….” Just as it’s your job to manage your mind, it’s your responsibility as well to manage your body. Renewing or managing your mind is done through the Word?meditating on the Word!

That’s also how to manage your body and keep it in divine health. The Bible says the Word of God is medicine?health to your physical body (Proverbs 4:22).

CONFESSION

Sickness isn’t in my nature. I’m a new creation in Christ Jesus, and Christ has consummated the plan for my divine health; therefore, I refuse to be sick!

I have Zoe, the supernatural life of God that makes me divinely healthy. Glory to God!

Declare What You Want In His Name

“내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 나를 믿는 자는 내가 하는 일을 그도 할 것이요 또한 그보다 큰 일도 하리니 이는 내가 아버지께로 감이라 너희가 내 이름으로 무엇을 구하든지 내가 행하리니 이는 아버지로 하여금 아들로 말미암아 영광을 받으시게 하려 함이라”(요 14:12-13)

예수님이 “너희가 내 이름으로 무엇을 구하든지 내가 행하리니”라고 말씀하셨을 때, 그분은 기도에 대해 말씀하신 것이 아니었습니다. 여기서 “구하다”라는 단어는 그리스어 “아이테오(aiteo)”로서, “요구하다”로 바꿔 쓸 수 있습니다. 이는 예수님이 요한복음 16:23에서 말씀하신 것과는 다릅니다. “그 날에는 너희가 아무것도 내게 묻지 아니하리라 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희가 무엇이든지 아버지께 구하는 것을 내 이름으로 주시리라.”

고백

DECLARE WHAT YOU WANT IN HIS NAME

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:12-13).

When Jesus said, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do,” He wasn’t talking about prayer. The word “ask” is the Greek “aiteo?” and it’s a substitute for the word “require.”

It’s different from what we have in John 16:23 where Jesus said, “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”

In the case of the latter, the word “ask” is “ero?ta?” (Greek), which is prayer. Here, Jesus was showing us how to pray to the Father in His Name. But the “ask” in our theme verse is talking about you making a demand in the Name of Jesus.

In Acts 3:1-6, the Bible shows us how Peter and John put this to work. They encountered a man crippled from birth who daily begged for alms at the temple gate. Peter said to him, “…Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). This isn’t prayer; Peter made a demand in the Name of Jesus.

Many of the evil things happening in our world today are caused by demons. But with the Name of Jesus, we prevail; we have the victory. Every time you face distressing situations, declare what you want in the Name of Jesus, and there’ll be a change. It’s about His authority. Use the Name of Jesus to keep your body in health, calm the storms around you, and effect changes in your home, family, community, town, city, and in your country.

CONFESSION

In the Name of Jesus, I come against the demons of darkness, the demons of deception, confusion and chaos; spirits of violence causing destructions in the nations of the world; I paralyse their efforts! I declare that these demons of violence will not prevail. I break the influence and dominion of Satan over the nations and their leaders, in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen!

예수님의 영적 성전

His Spiritual Temple

“여호와께서 시온을 건설하시고 그의 영광 중에 나타나셨음이라”(시 102:16)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 말하는 시온은 천년왕국 때의 이스라엘에 대한 것이 아니라 예수 그리스도의 교회에 대한 것입니다. 당신이 천년왕국의 다스림에 대해 처음부터 끝까지 잘 읽어본다면, 성경에서 말하는 천년왕국에서 일어날 모든 일들은 무엇이든지 먼저 교회에 일어나야만 합니다. 그 일들은 교회 가운데 나타납니다. 그러므로 그분은 천년왕국 시대에 예루살렘 성전을 짓기 이전에 그분의 성전인 교회를 세우실 것입니다.

스가랴 6:12은 말합니다. “그에게 일러 말하기를 만군의 주가 이같이 일러 말하느니라. 그 이름이 가지인 사람을 보라. 그가 자기 자리에서 자라 주의 성전을 건축하리라.”(한글킹제임스) 예수님은 “가지”라 일컬어진 분이십니다. 그리고 그분은 주의 성전을 건축할 예정이셨고 그 일은 사도들에게 성령이 임한 오순절 날부터 시작되었습니다. 에베소서 2:22은 지속되고 있는 성전 건축의 진리를 보여줍니다. “너희도 성령 안에서 하나님이 거하실 처소가 되기 위하여 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 지어져 가느니라.”

예수님은 이미 교회라는 영적 성전을 짓고 계시며, 우리가 바로 그 건물의 지체라고 말씀하십니다. 할렐루야! 히브리서 12:22-23은 말합니다. “그러나 너희가 이른 곳은 시온 산과 살아 계신 하나님의 도성인 하늘의 예루살렘과 천만 천사와 하늘에 기록된 장자들의 모임과 교회와 만민의 심판자이신 하나님과 및 온전하게 된 의인의 영들과.” 이 문맥에서 시온은 교회입니다.

예수님은 그분의 교회를 지으실 때 몇몇은 사도로, 몇몇은 선지자로, 몇몇은 복음 전하는 자로, 몇몇은 목사와 교사로 주셔서 그분의 백성들이 섬기는 일에 구비되게 하셨습니다. 이는 그리스도의 몸을 세우기 위해서 입니다(엡 4:11-12). 그분의 교회를 다 지으시면 그분은 영광 중에 나타나실 것입니다! 그때까지 교회는 그분의 이름으로 어둠의 권세와 이 땅의 요소들을 다스릴 것입니다. 예수님이 이렇게 말씀하셨기 때문입니다. “내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라”(마 16:18). 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

고백

사랑하는 아버지, 성령을 통해 나를 당신의 거처로 삼으셨다는 것이 얼마나 큰 축복인지요! 당신의 영과 말씀을 통해 나를 당신의 완전한 뜻 가운데로 인도하실 때마다, 내 안에 있는 당신의 신성한 임재를 인식합니다. 내 삶을 당신의 임재의 영광으로 아름답게 만들어 주시니 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HIS SPIRITUAL TEMPLE

When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory (Psalm 102:16).

Zion in the scripture above doesn’t refer to Israel at the Millennium but to the Church of Jesus Christ. When you read about the millennial reign from the beginning to the end, whatever the Bible says will happen at the Millennium must first happen with the Church; the reflection is in the Church. So, before building the temple in Jerusalem, which is going to be at the Millennium, He’s going to build His temple, which is the Church.

In Zechariah 6:12, the Bible says, “And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD.” Jesus is the One referred to as “The BRANCH,” and He’s going to build the temple of the Lord, and it started from the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles. Ephesians 2:22 shows the veracity of the ongoing building; it says, “In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.”

Jesus is already building His spiritual temple of the Church, and He says we’re members of that very building. Hallelujah! Hebrews 12:22-23 says, “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of

the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.” The Church is Zion in this context, spelt “Sion.”

In building His Church, He gave some to be apostles, and some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up (Ephesians 4:11-12). When He’s done building His Church, He’ll appear in glory! Until then, the Church will reign in His Name, over the powers of darkness and the elements of this world, for He said, “…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). “…Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 18:18).

CONFESSION

Dear Father, what a blessing it is to be your habitation through the Spirit. I acknowledge your divine presence in me, as you lead me by your Spirit, through your Word, in your perfect will. Thank you for beautifying my life with the glory of your presence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

영생을 훈련하십시오

Practise Eternal Life

“또 증거는 이것이니 하나님이 우리에게 영생을 주신 것과 이 생명이 그의 아들 안에 있는 그것이니라”(요일 5:11)

교회는 영생을 가르치고 전해야 합니다! 대부분의 사람들은 영생에 대해 한 번도 배워보지 못했기 때문에 영생을 절대 이해하지 못합니다. 사도 요한은 요한일서 5:13에서 말합니다. “내가 하나님의 아들의 이름을 믿는 너희에게 이것을 쓰는 것은 너희로 하여금 너희에게 영생이 있음을 알게 하려 함이라.” 그는 사람들이 그들에게 영생이 있다는 것을 알기 원했습니다. 오늘날과 같이 많은 사람들이 그 사실을 몰랐기 때문입니다. 그래서 많은 그리스도인들은 이 세상의 예측불허한 변화들과 요소들에 흔들리는 피해자로 살아갑니다.

이것이 많은 사람들이 앓는 감기, 두통, 열, 모든 아픔과 질병의 원입니다. 안타깝게도 어떤 사람들은 아픈 것이 괜찮다고 여기기도 합니다. 아닙니다. 그리스도인들에게는 그렇지 않습니다! 우리가 가지고 있는 생명은 신성합니다. 만일 몸 어딘가를 다친다면 당신 안에 신성한 생명이 있다는 사실을 상기하십시오. 그 생명은 당신 몸의 모든 섬유조직과 존재 안에 역사하고 있습니다. 그리고 나서 상처를 치유하십시오! 그 상처가 아물고 정상이 되도록 명령하십시오. 당신은 이것을 실천해야 합니다.

디모데전서 4:15은 말합니다. “이 일들을 묵상하고 이 일들에 전념하여…”(한글킹제임스) 여기서 “묵상하다”라는 말은 그리스어로 “멜레타오(Meletao)”이며, ‘훈련하다’라는 뜻입니다. 수년 전, 제가 이것에 대해 배우기 시작했을 때 저는 손가락을 베어 심하게 피가 났던 적이 있습니다. 그러나 저는 동요하지 않았습니다. 저는 영생을 인식했기 때문입니다. 그래서 저는 상처에 손을 얹고 “예수 이름으로 출혈은 멈추고 치유될지어다!”라고 말했습니다.

PRACTISE ETERNAL LIFE

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son (1 John 5:11).

Oh, how the Church needs to teach and preach eternal life! Most have never understood it, because they’ve never been taught. In 1 John 5:13 NIV, John said, “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” He wanted them to know they had eternal life, because just like today, many don’t know. So, you find a lot of Christians living as victims, buffeted by the vagaries and elements of this world.

It’s the reason for the colds, headaches, fevers and all the sicknesses and diseases many suffer from.

Sadly, some even think it’s okay to be sick. No; not for the Christian! The life we have is divine. If an injury happens in your body, remind yourself that you’ve got divine life in you; it works in you?in every fibre of your being. Then, heal the wound! Command it to close up and be normal. You’ve got to practise this.

1 Timothy 4:15 says, “Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them….” The expression “Meditate upon” is “Meletao” (Greek), and it also means to practise. Many years ago, as I started learning this, I had a cut on my hand and it was bleeding profusely. But I wasn’t agitated. I had the consciousness of eternal life. So, I placed my finger over the cut and said, “stanch and be healed, in Jesus’ Name!”

Guess what? Not only did the bleeding cease, there was no trace of a wound whatsoever. Hallelujah!

It’s important you learn to live the life that God has given you; practise it. Remember, when you were a child, you had to be taught how to talk and walk like humans, and you didn’t perfect it overnight but grew through practice into perfection.

Likewise, now that you’re born again, practise living the divine life. Superimpose the power of that life over your physical body by meditation, prayer (especially praying in the spirit), and by constant affirmation of the Word of God.

CONFESSION

Eternal life is at work in me; every facet of my being is inundated with, and supplanted by the divine life.

I live above the rudiments and corrupting forces of this present world of darkness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

죄, 곧 사람들 가운데 만연한 악과 부정으로 인해 종종 어떤 사람, 가정, 도시, 지역사회, 심지어 국가에 일어나는 일들이 있습니다. 그런 사람들은 합법적인 포로가 됩니다. 그러나 하나님의 자비 덕분에 우리는 기도를 통해 그들을 구출할 수 있습니다. 이것이 우리가 오늘의 본문 구절에서 읽은 내용입니다. 이 일을 어떻게 할 수 있습니까?

DELIVERING “LAWFUL CAPTIVES”

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children (Isaiah 49:24-25).

Sometimes, there’re things that happen to certain individuals, families, cities, communities or even nations because of sin?evil and wickedness that thrive in their midst; and such people become lawful captives. But because of the mercy of God, we’re able to deliver them through prayer. That’s part of what we read in our opening scripture. How do you do this?

The first part is when you issue your word of faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and the second part is when you engage in heartfelt, continued intercession.

Since they became legal captives by reason of their actions, you can’t just free them by issuing words of faith. You have to intercede in prayer. You may even have to get other like-minded Christians to join you to intercede for that family, city, or nation. One of the rules in intercession is that you must be persistent, and continue in prayer for as long as it takes for you to see the desired result. You can put Satan’s dominion in your family, community, city and country to an end and liberate men and women from his clutch-hold, in the Name of Jesus, in heartfelt, continued intercession. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, all the nations of the earth are yours;

I declare that Satan’s activities in the nations are paralyzed and your light shines in all nations with salvation and righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

당신이 삶에서 어떤 어려움을 대면하든지 상관없이 당신은 승리하기 위해 필요한 모든 것을 가지고 있습니다. 위태로운 상황에 처해 있을지라도 안심하십시오. 사탄, 세상, 이 세상의 모든 문제와 요소와 상황보다 크고 강한 분이신 성령님이 당신 안에 살고 계십니다.

사도 요한이 다음과 같이 말한 것은 놀라운 일이 아닙니다. “자녀들아 너희는 하나님께 속하였고 또 그들을 이기었나니 이는 너희 안에 계신 이가 세상에 있는 자보다 크심이라”(요일 4:4). 성령님과 그분의 능력, 영광, 그리고 당신 삶에서의 그분의 사역을 더욱 의식하십시오.

심지어 기도할 때에도 당신이 더욱 효과적으로 기도하기 위해서는 반드시 그분을 의지해야 합니다. 어떤 사람들은 기도를 하지만, 결과적으로 아무 일도 일어나지 않습니다. 그들은 성령에 의해 힘입거나, 전달받거나, 영감을 받지 않은 말로 기도하기 때문입니다. 많은 사람들이 성령님의 능력을 놓치고 살아갑니다. 이것이 하나님께서 그들을 승리자로 만드셨음에도 불구하고 그들이 희생자로 살아가는 이유입니다.

사도 바울은 에베소서 5:18-19에서 이렇게 말합니다. “술 취하지 말라 이는 방탕한 것이니 오직 성령으로 충만함을 받으라 시와 찬송과 신령한 노래들로 서로 화답하며 너희의 마음으로 주께 노래하며 찬송하며.” 성령으로 충만해지는 것이 해답입니다. 당신이 성령으로 충만해진다면, 당신의 말과 하는 모든 일에 성령님의 초자연적인 능력이 실리게 될 것입니다.

POWERED BY THE HOLY GHOST

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts (Zechariah 4:6).

You have what it takes to win, irrespective of the adversities you may face in life. If you’ve found yourself in a precarious situation, be comforted; there’s someone living inside you, who is greater and stronger than Satan, the world, and all the troubles, elements and circumstances of this world?the Holy Spirit. You’re powered by the Holy Spirit.

No wonder John said, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Become ever more conscious of the Spirit?His power, glory and ministry in your life.

Even in prayer, you must rely on Him to pray effectively. Some people pray, but nothing happens, because they speak words that aren’t powered, communicated or inspired by the Holy Spirit. The power of the Holy Spirit is the missing element in many people’s lives; it explains why they live as victims whereas God has made them victors.

In Ephesians 5:18-19, the Apostle Paul tells us, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” Being filled with the Spirit is the answer. When you’re filled with the Spirit, you’ll bring the supernatural power of God to bear on your words and all you do.

The Holy Spirit makes the difference; He’s the power of God and He lives in you in His fullness;

in His entire glory and might. How then could your life be ordinary? In the book of Acts, the apostles understood this and ministered always in and by the power of the Spirit. Oftentimes, they were described as men full of the Holy Ghost; for example, Stephen (Acts 6:5). Then it says in verse 8, “And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.”

The same can, and should be said of you; you’re full of the Holy Ghost and power because Acts 1:8 says, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you….” You can have extraordinary results in your life and ministry because you’re powered by the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for your love in sending the Holy Spirit to live in me; now I’m filled with might, able to do all things, and bring you glory. I’m empowered by the Holy Spirit to do great wonders and miracles, to effect positive changes in my health, family, ministry, finances, job, and in my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Built To Overcome

“이로써 우리도 듣던 날부터 너희를 위하여 기도하기를 그치지 아니하고 구하노니 너희로 하여금 모든 신령한 지혜와 총명에 하나님의 뜻을 아는 것으로 채우게 하시고… 그의 영광의 힘을 따라 모든 능력으로 능하게 하시며 기쁨으로 모든 견딤과 오래 참음에 이르게 하시고”(골 1:9-11)

하나님의 백성은 군사입니다. 우리는 삶의 압박과 역경을 견디고 극복하도록 만들어졌습니다. 하나님의 군대에는 나약한 사람이 없습니다. 역경의 날에 무너지지 마십시오. 쉬운말 성경은 잠언 24:10에서 이렇게 말합니다. “네가 어려움을 겪을 때 낙심하고 허우적거리면, 그것은 네 힘이 약하다는 것을 드러내는 것이다.”

그리스도를 위해 강하고 굳세어지십시오! 복음으로 인해 얼마나 지독하게 핍박을 받고 있는지 상관없이 그것을 기쁨으로 여기십시오! 고린도후서 4:17은 말합니다. “우리가 잠시 받는 환난의 경한 것이 지극히 크고 영원한 영광의 중한 것을 우리에게 이루게 함이니.”

바울은 말합니다. “우리가 환난 중에서도 즐거워하나니 환난은 인내를 이루고”(롬 5:3). 당신 안에 계신 분은 당신이 맞닥뜨리는 어떤 문제들보다 크시다는 사실을 항상 기억하십시오. 당신 안에 있는 말씀으로 어떤 시험도 이겨낼 수 있습니다! 당신은 언제나 승리할 것입니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

고백

나는 완전한 승리와 성공과 탁월함 가운데 살고 있습니다. 나는 상황에 대한 통치권을 가지고 어떤 어려움이나 반대에 상관없이 항상 승리하고 기뻐하는 삶을 삽니다. 삶에 있는 도전과 위기는 나의 전진을 위한 것입니다. 나는 승리하도록 지어졌기 때문입니다. 할렐루야!

BUILT TO OVERCOME

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will… being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience (Colossians 1:9-11 NIV).

God’s people are soldiers; we’re built to withstand and prevail against the pressures and adversities of life. There’re no sissies in God’s army.

Don’t faint in the day of adversity. The TLB version of the Bible says in Proverbs 24:10: “You are a poor specimen if you can’t stand the pressure of adversity.”

Be strong and tough for Christ! It makes no difference how fiercely you’re persecuted for the Gospel; count it all joy! 2 Corinthians 4:17 says,

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”

2 Timothy 2:3 says, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” Some people endure with tears, but our theme scripture says to do so with joyfulness. Always remember, the contrary winds make your roots go deeper. The quality of your personality has to be tested. The bigger the trouble, the greater your victories. Without pressures, your greatness may never manifest.

Therefore, in the face of opposition, declare, “Greater is He that’s in me, than he that’s in the world!”

James 1:2 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.” Why would God admonish you to rejoice in adversity? It’s because victory is in your spirit.

Paul said, “We glory in tribulation, for tribulation produces patience” (Romans 5:3). Always remember that greater is He that’s in you, than all the troubles you could ever face. With the Word in you, you’ll stand any test! You’ll always win. Praise God!

CONFESSION

I live in absolute victory, success and excellence!

Irrespective of the difficulty or opposition, I have an ever-winning, joyous life, with dominion over circumstances. The challenges and crises of life are for my promotion, for I’ve been built to overcome.

The Responsibilities Of Priests

“나는 너희를 위하여 기도하기를 쉬는 죄를 여호와 앞에 결단코 범하지 아니하고 선하고 의로운 길을 너희에게 가르칠 것인즉”(삼상 12:23)

요한계시록 1:6은 예수님에 대해 이렇게 말합니다. “그의 아버지 하나님을 위하여 우리를 나라와 제사장으로 삼으신 그에게 영광과 능력이 세세토록 있기를 원하노라 아멘.” 그러므로 당신은 그리스도 안에서 하나님 앞에 제사장입니다. 우리 각자는 오늘날 제사장의 직분을 맡고 있으며, 그 직분에는 책임이 있습니다.

제사장이 해야 할 첫 번째 일은 주님을 섬기는 것입니다. 아론이 제사장이 되려고 할 때 하나님은 모세에게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “너는 이스라엘 자손 중 네 형 아론과 그의 아들들 곧 아론과 아론의 아들들 나답과 아비후와 엘르아살과 이다말을 그와 함께 네게로 나아오게 하여 나를 섬기는 제사장 직분을 행하게 하되”(출 28:1). 그렇다면 우리는 제사장으로서 하나님을 어떻게 섬겨야 합니까?

베드로전서 2:5은 말합니다. “너희도 산 돌 같이 신령한 집으로 세워지고 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님이 기쁘게 받으실 신령한 제사를 드릴 거룩한 제사장이 될지니라.” 우리는 구약 시대처럼 소와 염소를 바치지 않고 영적인 제사를 드립니다. 우리 입술의 열매를 드립니다(호 14:2). 할렐루야!

제사장의 두 번째 일은 하나님의 말씀을 전하는 것입니다. 마태복음 28:19-20에서 예수님이 주신 대사명은 하나님의 제사장인 우리에게 주시는 사명이었습니다. 그분은 말씀하셨습니다. “그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 베풀고 내가 너희에게 분부한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라 볼지어다 내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라 하시니라”(마 28:19-20).

제사장의 세 번째 일은 중보기도입니다. 우리는 성경에서 말한 대로 우리의 대제사장이신 예수님과 같습니다. “그러므로 자기를 힘입어 하나님께 나아가는 자들을 온전히 구원하실 수 있으니 이는 그가 항상 살아 계셔서 그들을 위하여 간구하심이라”(히 7:25). 오늘의 본문 구절은 백성들을 위해 쉬지 않고 기도하는 제사장의 예로 사무엘을 보여줍니다. 사무엘처럼 하십시오. 모든 사람들과 당신의 나라를 위해 자주 기도하십시오.

하나님은 우리에게 예수님의 이름을 사용하여 이 땅에서 일어나는 일들을 바꿀 수 있는 통치권과 권세를 주셨습니다. 그러므로 기도 가운데 그분의 뜻이 이 땅에서, 우리 주변 사람들의 삶에서, 우리가 사는 도시와 나라에서 이루어지도록 합시다. 그리고 제사장으로서 주님을 섬기고, 사람들을 가르치고, 중보기도하는 일을 하십시오. 할렐루야!

기도

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF PRIESTS

Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way (1 Samuel 12:23).

The Bible says in Revelation 1:6 that the Lord Jesus has “…made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” So, in Christ, you’re a priest before God. Each one of us is occupying that office today, and there’re responsibilities attached to that office.

The first responsibility of priests is ministering to the Lord. When Aaron was going to be made a priest, God said to Moses, “…take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office…” (Exodus 28:1). But how do we minister to God as priests?

1 Peter 2:5 says, “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” We don’t offer bulls and goats as they did in the Old Testament but spiritual sacrifices: the calves of our lips (Hosea 14:2). Hallelujah!

Secondly, priests make the Word of God known.

When Jesus gave the great commission in Matthew 28:19-20, it was to us?the priests of God. He said, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

You’re to make pupils of those in your world; teach them about God and the Kingdom-life; let them in on the fundamentals of the glorious Kingdom we’ve been brought into. The Bible says, “It’s the job of priests to teach the truth. People are supposed to look to them for guidance…” (Malachi 2:7 MSG).

This is your ministry as a priest; it’s your calling, and responsibility, to make His Word known to the world; people should seek, inquire for and require knowledge from you about the life of righteousness.

The third responsibility of priests is intercession.

We’re like Jesus our High Priest, about whom the Bible says, “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them” (Hebrews 7:25).

Our theme verse shows us Samuel as a teaching priest who wouldn’t cease to pray for the people. Be likeminded. Pray often for all men and for your country.

God has given us the dominion and the authority to alter the course of events in the earth, using the Name of Jesus. Therefore, in prayer, let’s bring His will to pass in the earth, in the lives of those around us, in our cities, and nations. Take your place of priesthood in ministering to the Lord, teaching and intercession.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the privilege to take hold together with you, to side with you in bringing your will to pass on behalf of others. Thank you for the dominion and the authority to alter the course of events in the earth, using the Name of Jesus. Amen!

He Qualified Us For Righteousness

“한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다”(롬 5:17)

당신이 자신의 삶에 대한 예수님의 주되심을 고백했을 때, 그 즉시 그분의 의가 당신의 영에 전이되었습니다. 그분의 의가 당신의 의가 되었습니다. 이제 당신은 예수 그리스도의 의 안에서 살고 있습니다.

예수님은 하나님 앞에 의로운 분이셨습니다. 그분은 죄가 없이 태어나 죄 없이 살았던 유일한 분이셨습니다. 따라서 그분은 인간을 대신할 자격을 갖추셨고, 우리를 대신하여 모든 공의의 요구를 이행하셨습니다. 그분은 우리를 의롭게 하기 위해 십자가에서 죄가 되셨습니다. 그분은 우리를 의롭게 하셨습니다. 할렐루야!

성경은 아담의 범죄가 모든 사람을 죄인으로 만들었다고 말합니다. 마찬가지로 그리스도의 순종이 모든 사람을 의롭게 만들었습니다. 이는 하나님께 합법적인 것입니다. 그리스도의 순종과 희생을 받아들이고 그분의 주되심을 고백한 사람은 누구든지 그 즉시 구원의 경험과 의의 생명 안으로 들어가게 됩니다.

로마서 5:1은 말합니다. “그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 화평을 누리자.” “의롭다 하심을 받았다”는 것은 그리스도 예수를 믿는 믿음으로 말미암아 당신이 무죄선고를 받았다는 의미입니다. 당신은 예수님이 하신 일로 인해 한 번도 죄를 짓지 않은 것처럼 의롭다고 선포되었습니다. 이제 당신은 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 하나가 되고 그분과 교제하게 되었습니다. 이것은 위대한 일입니다. 그러나 안타깝게도 많은 사람들이 이를 이해하지 못합니다. 그 결과 그들은 의롭게 되기 위해 여전히 분투하고 있습니다. 오늘날 당신이 할 수 있는 행동 중에 하나님 앞에서 당신을 의롭게 만들 수 있는 것은 하나도 없습니다. 그래서 그분은 자신의 의를 당신에게 주신 것입니다. 그분이 우리를 얼마나 사랑하시는지요!

거듭난 당신은 예수님이 의로우신 것처럼 의롭습니다. 그분은 당신의 죄의 본성을 그분의 의로 대체하셨습니다. 이것에 대해 생각해보십시오! 이제 당신은 수치감 없이, 담대함과 확신과 기쁨을 가지고, 그분이 당신을 무조건적으로 사랑하신다는 것을 알고 하나님과 교제할 수 있습니다. 할렐루야!

고백

나는 예수 그리스도의 의를 가지고 있습니다. 그러므로 나에게는 의롭고, 바르게 살고, 옳은 일을 행하고, 의의 일을 하며, 의의 열매를 맺을 능력이 있습니다. 나는 그분과의 완전한 연합, 사랑 가운데 그분과의 교제, 그분의 의 안에 있는 영광 안으로 나를 인도하신 주님 안에서 매우 기뻐합니다. 할렐루야!

HE QUALIFIED US FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

When you confessed the Lordship of Jesus over your life, instantly, His righteousness was imparted to your spirit; His righteousness became your righteousness. You’re now living in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Jesus was righteous before God; He was the only one born sinless and lived without sin. Thus, He qualified to be man’s substitute. He fulfilled all the righteous demands of justice in our behalf. He became sin on the Cross, for our sakes, so we could be made righteous. He qualified us to be righteous. Hallelujah!

The Bible says Adam’s transgression made all men sinners; likewise, the obedience of Christ has made all men righteous. This is legal before God. Anyone who acknowledges the obedience and sacrifice of Christ, and confesses His Lordship is immediately catapulted into the vital experience of salvation and the life of righteousness. Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” To be “justified” means you’re acquitted by your faith in Christ Jesus; you’re declared righteous as though you never sinned, because of what Jesus did.

Now you’re in oneness with God, in fellowship with Him by Jesus Christ. This is so huge; but sadly, many haven’t grasped it yet; as a result, they’re still struggling to be righteous. There’s nothing that you do today, or could ever do, that’ll make you righteous before God; that’s why He gave you His own righteousness. How He loves us so much!

Being born again, you’re as righteous as Jesus is righteous. He substituted His righteousness for your sin-nature; think about that! Now you can fellowship with God unashamed, with boldness, confidence and joy, knowing that He loves you unconditionally.

CONFESSION

I have the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Therefore, I have the ability to be right, live right, do right, perform works of righteousness, and produce fruits of righteousness. I rejoice greatly in the Lord, who has brought me into perfect union with Himself, to fellowship with Him in love, and glory in His righteousness. Hallelujah!
