예수 그리스도에 대해 담대하십시오
Be Bold About Him
“내가 참으로 자랑스럽게 선포하는 이 소식은, 그분의 능력 가득한 계획에 관한 것입니다. 하나님께서 그분을 신뢰하는 사람이면 누구나, 유대인으로부터 시작해서 모든 사람에 이르기까지 다 구원하신다는 엄청난 메시지입니다.”(롬 1:16, 메시지성경)
사도 바울은 복음에 대해 열정적이었고 그의 모든 열정, 용기, 담대함, 믿음, 확신을 가지고 복음을 전했습니다. 그는 로마서 1:16-17에서 이렇게 말합니다. “내가 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라 먼저는 유대인에게요 그리고 헬라인에게로다 복음에는 하나님의 의가 나타나서 믿음으로 믿음에 이르게 하나니 기록된 바 오직 의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라 함과 같으니라.”
만일 당신이 예수님을 사랑한다면, 당신은 그분의 메시지와 그분을 섬기는 일에 열정을 갖게 될 것입니다. 만약 당신이 복음의 메시지가 당신의 삶을 변화시켰다고 진정 믿는다면, 당신은 그 사실에 대해 공개적으로 말하는 일에 담대할 것입니다. 그리고 당신이 받은 복음을 다른 사람들에게 전하는 일에도 담대할 것입니다.
그리스도나 복음의 메시지 혹은 그리스도 안에 있는 당신의 정체성에 대해 부끄러워하지 마십시오. 기회가 있을 때마다 복음을 전하십시오. “저는 무슨 말을 해야 할지 잘 모르겠어요.”라고 말할 수도 있습니다. 그렇다면 그리스도에 대한 당신의 간증, 즉 그분이 당신의 삶을 어떻게 바꾸셨는지에 대한 이야기로 시작하십시오. 그분과의 뗄 수 없는 하나됨과 모든 영혼들을 향한 그분의 흘러 넘치는 무조건적인 사랑, 그분의 은혜와 자비 그리고 친절하심에 대해 나누십시오.
예수님을 향한 당신의 사랑을 부끄러워하지 마십시오. 그분 안에서 당신이 어떤 자인지에 대해 부끄러워하지 마십시오. 그리고 당신이 믿는 바에 대해 다른 사람들이 당신을 수치스럽게 하는 것을 내버려두지 마십시오. 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “누구든지 나와 내 말을 부끄러워하면 인자도 자기와 아버지와 거룩한 천사들의 영광으로 올 때에 그 사람을 부끄러워하리라”(눅 9:26). 예수님이 당신의 삶을 바꾸셨다고 생각한다면 당신은 그 일을 담대하게 말해야 합니다. 담대하게 복음을 전하십시오. 예수 그리스도가 당신에게 어떤 의미이며 그분이 당신의 삶에 어떤 일을 행하셨는지에 대해 다른 사람들에게 담대히 전하십시오. 당신은 그분이 누구인지에 대한 증인입니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 당신은 자애롭고 친절하십니다. 당신의 변함없는 사랑과 한결같은 신실하심에 감사드립니다. 당신의 백성들이 오늘 복음을 전할 때 성령님이 그들을 인도하시고 이끄시며 용기를 주시고, 모든 사람에게 당신의 구원의 은혜가 임하게 하시니 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

BE BOLD ABOUT HIM
It’s news I’m most proud to proclaim, this extraordinary Message of God’s powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts him, starting with Jews and then right on to everyone else! (Romans 1:16 MSG).
The Apostle Paul was passionate about the Gospel and proclaimed it with all passion, boldness, audacity, faith, and conviction. In Romans 1:16-17, he said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
If you love Jesus, you’ll be passionate about His message and about serving Him. If you truly believe that the message of the Gospel has changed your life, you’ll be bold to speak about it openly; you’ll be bold to reach out to others with the Gospel you’ve received.
Never be shamefaced about Christ, the message of the Gospel or your identity with Him. At every opportunity, preach the Gospel. You might say, “I don’t know what to say”; begin with your testimony of Christ?how He changed your life. Talk about our inextricable oneness with Him, His liquid and unconditional love for all, His grace, mercy and kindness.
Be impenitent about your love for Jesus. Don’t be ashamed of who you are in Him, and don’t let others make you ashamed of what you believe. Jesus said, “For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels” (Luke 9:26). If you think Jesus changed your life, you have to be bold to talk about it;
be bold to express it; be bold to tell others what Jesus Christ means to you and what He’s done in your life.
You’re a witness of who He is.
PRAYER
Dear Father, you’re gracious and kind; thank you for your steadfast love that never ceases, your faithfulness that’s ever sure. Thank you for your grace; the grace of salvation that’s upon all men, and for the courage, guidance, and leading of the Spirit for all your children, as they preach the Gospel today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
