우리는 표적과 계절을 이루는 자들입니다
We’re For Signs And Seasons

“하나님이 이르시되 하늘의 궁창에 광명체들이 있어 낮과 밤을 나뉘게 하고 그것들로 징조와 계절과 날과 해를 이루게 하라”(창 1:14)

오늘의 본문 구절은 얼마나 강력한 말씀인지요! 이것은 문자 그대로의 해와 달과 별들에 대한 내용이 아닙니다. 이사야 8장 18절은 이에 대해 더 설명하는데 도움이 됩니다. “보라, 나와 주께서 내게 주신 자녀들이 시온 산에 거하시는 만군의 주로부터 이스라엘에 표적들과 이적들이 되느니라”(한글킹제임스)

신약을 보면, 히브리서 2장 13-14절에서 위의 이사야서 말씀을 언급하며 우리가 표적들과 이적들, 곧 징조와 계절이 된다고 말합니다. 이것은 무슨 의미입니까? 누가복음 10장 5절에 있는 예수님의 말씀은 더욱 명확하게 설명해줍니다. “어느 집에 들어가든지 먼저 말하되 이 집이 평안할지어다 하라”

이는 당신이 그 집에 평안의 계절을 가져다 준다는 의미입니다! 문제, 위기, 혼란이 있는 곳에 당신이 나타나면 그곳에는 평강이 있게 됩니다. 할렐루야!

이어서 6절은 말합니다. “만일 평안을 받을 사람이 거기 있으면 너희의 평안이 그에게 머물 것이요…”(눅 10:6) 그분께서 “너희의 평안이 그에게 머물 것이요”라고 말씀하신 것에 주목하십시오. 당신은 예수 그리스도의 평강을 전달하는 자이기 때문입니다. 그분은 요한복음 14장 27절에서 말씀하셨습니다. “평안을 너희에게 끼치노니 곧 나의 평안을 너희에게 주노라…”

평강은 위기를 다스리는 능력입니다. 그러므로 당신이 어디를 가든지 당신은 폭풍을 잠잠하게 하고 변화를 가져옵니다. 당신이 오기 전에 이미 사람들이 곤경에 처해 있을 수도 있습니다. 그러나 당신이 나타나는 순간 상황은 바뀝니다. 그곳에 기쁨이 있습니다! 승리가 있습니다! 번영이 있습니다. 할렐루야!

그게 다가 아닙니다. 당신은 건강도 불러일으킵니다. 건강의 계절을 가져다 줍니다! 누가복음 10장 9절에서 예수님은 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “거기 있는 병자들을 고치고…” 질병과 고통이 있는 곳에 당신은 건강을 가져다 줍니다! 예수님께서는 “거기 있는 병자들을 위해 기도하고”라고 말씀하지 않으셨습니다. 그분은 그들을 고치라고 말씀하셨습니다! 예수님은 동일한 진리를 마태복음 10장 8절에서 반복해서 말씀하십니다. “병든 자를 고치며 죽은 자를 살리며 나병환자를 깨끗하게 하며 귀신을 쫓아내되…”

당신은 보통 사람이 아닙니다. 당신은 신성한 진리를 전하고 나누어주는 자입니다. 당신이 가는 곳마다 평안의 계절, 사랑의 계절, 건강과 소망과 기쁨의 계절, 축복과 기적의 계절을 가지고 간다는 의식을 가지십시오! 할렐루야!

고백
내가 복음을 전할 때 성령께서 표적과 이적들로, 다양한 기적들로, 성령의 은사들로 그분의 뜻을 따라 증거하십니다. 나는 어디를 가든지 사람들을 축복의 계절로 안내합니다. 나는 많은 사람들을 회복시키고, 그들을 강하고, 단단하고, 견고하게 만듭니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

We’re For Signs And Seasons

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years (Genesis 1:14).

How powerful the scripture above is! It’s not just dealing literally with the sun and the moon and the stars. Isaiah 8:18 further helps to explain it; it says, “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders.….”
Then, in the New Testament, Hebrews 2:13-14 refers to the prophecy of Isaiah above, stating that we’re for signs and wonders; signs and seasons. What does this mean? The words of Jesus in Luke 10:5 help make it clearer. He said, “And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.”
This means you bring to that house a season of peace! Where there’ve been trouble, crises, and turmoil, when you show up, there’ll be calmness. Hallelujah!
The sixth verse says, “And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it…” (Luke 10:6). Note: He said, “Your peace shall rest upon them,” because you’re a bearer of peace, the peace of Jesus Christ. He said in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you….”
Peace is power over crises. So, everywhere you go, you calm the storm and effect changes. They may have been in distress before you came; the moment you show up, things change. There’s joy! There’s victory! There’s prosperity. Hallelujah!

That’s not all; you bring health as well; a season of health! Continuing further into verse 9 of Luke 10, Jesus said, “And heal the sick that are therein….” In that place where there’s been sickness and pain, you bring health! Jesus didn’t say, “Pray for the sick therein”; He said to heal them! He reiterated the same truth in Matthew 10:8. He said, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils….”
You’re not ordinary. You’re a bearer and dispenser of divine verities. Have the consciousness that everywhere you go, you carry  seasons of peace, seasons of love, seasons of health, hope, and gladness; seasons of blessings and miracles! Hallelujah!

Confession
As I preach the Gospel, the Spirit bears witness, both with signs and wonders, and with diverse miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to His own will. Everywhere I go, I usher in seasons of blessings, restoring many, making them strong, firm and steadfast! Glory to God!

성전 건축
Building His Temple

“또 내가 네게 이르노니 너는 베드로라 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라”(마 16:18)

구약에는 모세가 지은 첫 번째 성전과 그 이후 솔로몬이 세운 두 번째 성전이 등장합니다. 그러고 나서 헤롯이 지은 세 번째 성전이 나오며 그 성전은 웅장했습니다.

신약에서 첫 번째 성전은 주 예수님이셨습니다. 그분은 요한복음 2장 19절에서 자신에 대해 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “너희가 이 성전을 헐라 내가 사흘 동안에 일으키리라” 두 번째 성전은 당신입니다. 고린도전서 3장 16절은 말합니다. “너희는 너희가 하나님의 성전인 것을 … 알지 못하느냐?” 그리고 세 번째 성전은 교회입니다.

교회를 건축하기 위해서는 그리스도 안에 있는 “유대인”과 “이방인”이 필요합니다. 우리 각 사람은 세 번째 성전인 현 시대의 교회를 건축할 책임이 있습니다.

당신이 그리스도께로 인도하는 모든 새로운 영혼들은 당신이 이 성전을 건축하는데 또 다른 재료를 추가하는 것과 같습니다. 당신은 하나님의 집을 아름답게 하고 있는 것입니다. 이는 우리가 『말씀의 실재』와 전 세계 전도 사역을 후원하고 전파하는 목적이기도 합니다. 우리는 하나님의 성전을 짓고 있습니다. 할렐루야!

이 직분은 우리 모두의 것입니다. 우리는 그분의 성전을 짓는데 주님과 함께 하는 동역자입니다. “우리는 하나님의 동역자들이요…”(고전 3:9) 복음을 위해 섬기고 수고하는 일에 더욱 힘쓰십시오. 주의를 산만하게 하는 것은 무엇이든지 허용하지 마십시오. 당신 자신에게 집중하지 말고 그분에 대해 더 많이 생각하며, 그분의 왕국의 확장과 성장, 전파, 영향력을 생각하십시오.

그분은 마태복음 6장 33절에서 “그런즉 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라”고 말씀하셨습니다. 그분은 생명과 경건에 필요한 모든 것을 이미 당신에게 주셨습니다(벧후 1:3). 그러므로 전 세계 영혼들에게 접촉하여 변화시켜 그분의 교회를 세우는 일에 그분과 동역하는데 당신의 모든 힘과 열정을 집중시키십시오. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

기도
나는 그리스도의 복음을 부끄러워하지 않습니다. 그리스도의 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 능력이기 때문입니다. 나는 사람들이 어두움에서 벗어나 하나님의 아들들이 누리는 영광스러운 자유를 누리게 하기 위해 복음 전파에 헌신합니다. 나는 그리스도의 영광을 위해 사람들의 삶을 변화시키고 탈바꿈 시킵니다. 할렐루야!

Building His Temple

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18).

In the Old Testament, there was the first tabernacle, built by Moses, and later, a second tabernacle that was built by Solomon. Then there was the third one and this time, Herod built it, and it was a magnificent temple.
Coming to the New Testament, the Lord Jesus was the first temple. He said in John 2:19, referring to Himself, “…Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The second temple is you, for the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3:16, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God…?” Then, the third temple is the Church.
Just as it took Herod, a non-Jew, and the Jews in his day, to build that third magnificent temple, it’s taking the “Jews” and “Gentiles” that have come into Christ, to build this third temple—the Church. Each one of us is responsible for building this third temple, the present-day Church.
For every new soul you lead to Christ, you’re adding another material in the building of this temple; you’re beautifying God’s house. This is what our sponsorship and distribution of Rhapsody of Realities, and all our other outreaches around the world, is about! We’re building God’s temple. Hallelujah!

This is a job for every one of us; we’re co-labourers with the Lord in building His temple:  “For we are labourers together with God….” Take your service in the Gospel to a higher level. Allow no distractions whatsoever. Take your mind away from yourself. Think more about Him, and the expansion, the growth, spread and influence of His Kingdom.
He said in Matthew 6:33, “…seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” He already made everything you require for life and godliness available to you (2 Peter 1:3). Therefore, focus all your energies and passion on joining Him to build His Church, touching and transforming lives around the world. Praise God!

Prayer
I’m not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it’s the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes. I’m committed to the spread of the Gospel, bringing men out of darkness into the glorious liberty of the sons of God. I’m changing and transforming lives every day, for the glory of Christ. Hallelujah!

아버지의 임재로 가는 길
The Way To The Father’s Presence

“예수께서 이르시되 내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라”(요 14:6)

인류 역사상 가장 슬픈 날은 아담이 하나님께 죄를 지어 아내인 하와와 함께 하나님의 임재로부터 떠나게 된 때입니다. 하나님의 모양과 형상으로 지음 받은 인간은 하나님과 교제했었습니다! 성경은 하나님께서 아담이 에덴동산을 다시 들어가는 것을 허락하지 않으셨으므로 불타는 칼을 든 천사를 보내서 동산의 문을 지키게 하셨습니다.

불현듯 인간(아담)은 하나님과의 풍성한 교제가 끝났다는 것을 깨닫게 됩니다. 그것은 종교의 시작이었습니다. 인류는 그 신성한 임재를 다시 얻기 위해 모든 것을 해보기 시작했습니다.

오늘날 세상의 모든 종교는 잃어버린 임재를 찾고 있습니다. 예수님이 오시기 전까지, 인류에게는 그 임재 안으로 돌아갈 수 있는 길이 없었습니다. 그분은 놀라운 말씀을 하셨습니다. “내가 곧 길이요… 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라”(요 14:6) 그분은 “잃어버린 임재”로 가는 길이십니다.

하나님의 임재로 가는 길은 아담이 원했던 것이며 아브라함, 모세, 제사장들이 모두 원하던 것이었습니다. 예수님이 바로 그 길입니다! “그 길은 우리를 위하여 휘장 가운데로 열어 놓으신 새로운 살 길이요 휘장은 곧 그의 육체니라”(히 10:20)

이제 더 이상 휘장도, 아버지와 우리 사이를 갈라놓는 그 무엇도 없습니다. 예수님은 우리를 하나님의 임재 안으로 인도하셨습니다. 성경은 “주의 임재에는 충만한 기쁨이 있고”(시 16:11)라고 말합니다. 하나님의 임재 안에서 누리는 기쁨과 비할 것은 없습니다. 그리스도 안에서 우리가 얼마나 영광스러운 삶을 가지고 있습니까!

그분의 임재로 가는 길을 발견하지 못했다면, 아직 거듭나지 않았다면, 지금이 당신의 때입니다! 더 이상 죄와 실패와 무지함에 빠져 있을 필요가 없습니다. 당신과 하나님 사이의 적대감은 모두 제거되었습니다. 당신이 해야 할 전부는 당신의 삶에 대한 예수님의 주되심을 고백하는 것입니다. 그러면 당신의 영이 재창조되어 하나님의 임재 안에서 누리는 신나는 삶을 살기 시작하게 될 것입니다.

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 당신께서 저에게 아낌없이 주신 무조건적인 사랑과 위대한 가족의 진정한 일원이 되게 하신 특권에 감사드립니다. 나는 아버지와의 하나됨의 축복과 유익을 누리고 내 삶에 있는 당신의 영광을 인식합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

The Way To The Father’s Presence

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6).

The saddest day in human history was when Adam, having sinned against God, was driven away from the presence of God, together with his wife, Eve.
Man had been in fellowship with God, being in His image and in His likeness! The Bible says God sent an angel with a flaming sword to stay at the gate of the garden to disallow Adam from re-entering the Garden of Eden.
Suddenly, man (Adam) discovers something: the rich fellowship that he had with God was over. That was the beginning of religion. Man began to do everything he could to get that divine presence again.

All the religions of the world today are seeking the same thing: the lost presence. Man had no way to get back into that presence, until Jesus came. He made a startling statement. He said, “I am the WAY…no one comes to the Father, except by me!” (John 14:6). He’s the way to the “lost presence.”
This was what Adam needed. This was what Abraham, Moses, the Jewish Priesthood, all needed: the way to the Father’s presence! Jesus is that way! “By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh” (Hebrews 10:20).

There’s no veil, no separation any more between us and the Father; He’s brought us into God’s presence, and the Bible says, “In His presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11). There’s no joy like what you have in the presence of God. What a glorious life we have in Christ!
If you haven’t found your way into His presence, if you’re not yet born again, this is your moment! There’s no need to wallow in sin, defeat and ignorance any more. There’s no enmity between you and God any more. All you have to do is confess the Lordship of Jesus over your life, and your spirit will be recreated to begin an exciting life in His presence for eternity.

Prayer
Dear Father, I’m forever grateful for your unconditional love, which you’ve lavished on me, and the awesome privilege of being a bona fide member of our great family. I enjoy the blessings and benefits of my oneness with you, conscious of your glory in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

성령의 능력
The Energy Of The Spirit

“이를 위하여 나도 내 속에서 능력으로 역사하시는 이의 역사를 따라 힘을 다하여 수고하노라”(골 1:29)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 바울은 내재하는 능력 즉 그 안에서 일하시는 성령의 능력을 언급합니다. 성령의 능력은 바울에게만 있었던 것이 아니라 성령을 지니고 있는 우리 모두에게 있는 것입니다. 바울이 그랬던 것처럼, 당신 안에서 역사하고 있는 이 신성한 능력을 의식하십시오.

당신이 삶에서 어떤 도전들을 직면하고 있든지 상관없습니다. 삶에서 직면하는 장애물들을 뚫을 수 있는 힘과 권능이 당신 안에서 역사하고 있습니다. 그것은 바로 성령의 능력입니다. 사도 바울은 고린도후서 3장 5절에서 성령으로 말미암아 이 똑같은 능력에 대해 언급했습니다. “우리가 무슨 일이든지 우리에게서 난 것 같이 스스로 만족할 것이 아니니 우리의 만족은 오직 하나님으로부터 나느니라”

우리에게는 충만함이 있습니다. 우리 안에 하나님의 빛이 있으므로, 성령의 능력이 우리 안에 역사하고 있습니다. 성경은 “너희 안에 계신 그리스도시니 곧 영광의 소망이니라”(골 1:27)라고 말합니다. 하나님의 능력과 생명과 본성은 지금 당신 안에서 역사하고 있으며 당신의 몸 안에서 계속 운행하고 있습니다. 이 사실을 의식하십시오.

사도 바울은 그의 안에서 일하는 이 신성한 힘을 의식했습니다. 본문 구절에서 그가 말한 “역사”는 헬라어로 “에너지아(Energeia)”이며 초인적인 능력을 의미합니다. 성령으로 충만했던 바울은 그 안에서 역사하는 하나님의 능력을 믿었습니다. 얼마나 대단한 의식입니까! 당신은 자신 안에 역사하고 있는 초인적인 능력을 정확히 알고 이에 대해 확신하며 말할 수 있습니까? 당신은 이것을 알아야만 합니다.

당신은 자신의 육체적 힘이나 인간적인 생각으로 수고하거나 노력하는 것이 아니라, 성령의 능력으로 일합니다. 이 능력은 당신 안에서 부족하게 일하는 것이 아니라 능력 있게 역사합니다. 즉 당신은 지칠 수 없습니다! 당신이 얼마나 좋은 인생을 살고 있는지 아시겠습니까? 이제 당신은 고린도후서 4:16에 표현된 성령에 의한 바울의 진술을 더 잘 이해할 수 있습니다. “그러므로 우리가 낙심하지 아니하노니 우리의 겉사람은 낡아지나 우리의 속사람은 날로 새로워지도다”

고백
나는 내 안에 강력하게 역사하는 하나님의 위대한 능력을 따라 영광의 삶을 살게 되었기 때문에 나의 잠재력은 무한합니다. 내 안에 역사하는 신성한 능력으로 인해 나는 인간의 능력을 초월하는 결과를 성취합니다. 성령님이 내 안에 거하시고 일하십니다! 그분은 나를 통해 그분의 사역을 행하십니다! 할렐루야!

The Energy Of The Spirit

Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily (Colossians 1:29).

In our opening verse, Paul refers to the inherent ability, the energy of the Spirit at work in him. This isn’t exclusive to Paul but to each and every one of us that has the Holy Spirit. Like Paul, be conscious of this divine energy at work in you.
It makes no difference what challenges you face in the course of your day; there’s a force—an empowerment—at work in you to blaze through the barriers. It’s the energy of the Spirit. The Apostle Paul referenced this same power in 2 Corinthians 3:5 when he said by the Spirit, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.”

We have a sufficiency; we have the ability of God’s Spirit at work in us, because we have the light of God in us. The Bible says, “…Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). The power, the life, the nature of God is at work in you, coursing through your being. Become conscious of this.
The Apostle Paul was conscious of this divine energy working in him from within. The word he used in our opening verse for “working” is the Greek, “energeia” which refers to superhuman energy. Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, recognized that the working, the operational power of God, was in him. What a consciousness!
Have you come to the point in your life where you know and you can say confidently that there’s a superhuman power at work in you? You ought to know.
You’re not labouring or striving by your physical might or human ingenuity, but by the energy of the Spirit.
This energy isn’t at work in you sparingly, but mightily, meaning that you can’t wear out! What a life you’ve got! Now you can further understand Paul’s submission by the Spirit in 2 Corinthians 4:16, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”

Confession
My potentials are limitless, because I’m divinely endued to live the life of glory, according to God’s mighty power which works in me mightily! The Church Is Called “The Way”

“사울이 주의 제자들을 치려고 여전히 위협과 살기를 내뿜으며 대제사장에게 가서 다마스커스의 회당들에 가져갈 편지를 그에게 요청하니 이것은 그가 이 길에 속한 사람을 만나면…”(행 9:1-2, 한글흠정역)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 밑줄 친 부분은 이미 사도들의 시대에도 교회가 “길”로 불리고 있음을 보여줍니다. 예수님께서 요한복음 14장 6절에서 “…내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라”고 말씀하신 후에 교회가 “길”로 불렸다는 점은 매우 흥미롭습니다.

이것은 그분과의 분리될 수 없는 하나됨을 알려줍니다. 주께서 그러하심과 같이 우리도 이 세상에서 그러합니다. 오늘날 우리는 아버지께로 이르는 길이며, 그분의 임재에 이르는 길입니다. 할렐루야! 사도 바울은 그가 교회를 핍박했던 것에 대해 이야기하며 사도행전 22장 4절에서 이렇게 말합니다. “내가 이 길을 따르는 자들이 죽음에 이르기까지 박해하였으며, 남녀 모두를 체포하여 감옥에 넘겼노라.” 그러고 나서 사도행전 24장 14절에서는 이렇게 말합니다. “그러나 내가 이것을 당신께 고백하오니, 즉 그들이 이단이라고 하는 그 길을 따라서 내가 내 조상들의 하나님을 섬기고…”

그들은 초대 교회를 “길”이라 불렀습니다. 주님은 자신에 대해 “나는 길이요”라고 말씀하셨습니다(요 14:6). 새롭고 살아있는 길이 예수님을 통해서 드러났고, 그분의 메시지를 전달하는 자로서 우리가 길이 되었습니다.

종교적인 생각을 지닌 사람들에게는 이것이 과해 보이겠지만, 이것이 바로 말씀이 말하는 바입니다. 우리는 아버지께로 가는 길입니다! 우리는 사람들에게 하나님의 임재를 보여줄 뿐 아니라, 그들을 인도하는 자로 부름 받았습니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

오바댜 1:21(한글킹제임스)은 말합니다. “구원자들이 시온 산에 올라와 에서의 산을 심판할 것이요, 그 왕국은 주의 것이 되리로라.” 여기서 “구원자가 시온 산에 올라와”라고 말하지 않았다는 것에 주목하십시오. 오히려 “구원자들”이라고 말하고 있으며, 이는 시온 산에는 구원자들이 많다는 의미입니다. 우리 곧 교회는 시온으로부터 온 구원자들입니다. 우리는 신성한 명령을 전달하고, 영원한 진리를 운반하며 전달하는 자입니다. 하나님을 영원히 찬양합니다!

하늘에 계신 아버지, 사람들에게 왕국으로 가는 길을 보여주는 그리스도의 대사가 될 자격을 주시니 감사합니다. 나는 내가 세상의 소망이자 빛이라는 것을 인식합니다. 나는 나의 존재와 내가 소유한 모든 것으로 이 화해의 사역을 담당하며, 내 삶의 영역에 있는 많은 사람들을 왕국으로 인도합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

The Church Is Called “The Way”

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way…” (Acts 9:1-2).

From the underlined portion of the scripture above, we see that the Church was already being called “The Way” in the days of the apostles. It’s very interesting that the Church would be called “the way,” after Jesus said in John 14:6, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

This shows our inextricable oneness with Him. As He is, so are we in this world. We are today, the WAY to the Father, the way to His presence. Hallelujah! In Acts 22:4, the Apostle Paul, while narrating his persecution of the Church, said, “I persecuted the followers of this Way to their death, arresting both men and women and throwing them into prison” (NIV). Then again, in Acts 24:14, he said, “However, I admit that I worship the God of our fathers as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect…” (NIV).

They called the early Church, “The way.” The Lord describing Himself said, “I am the way!” (John 14:6)! A new and living way was revealed in Jesus; and because we’re now the bearers of His message, we’ve become the way.
This is too much for the religious mind, but it’s what the Word shows. We’re the way to the Father! We’re not only to show men the presence of God, but also ordained to usher them in. Blessed be God! Obadiah 1:21 says, “And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD’S.”
Note: it doesn’t say, “A saviour shall come up on mount Zion.” Rather, it says, “Saviours,” meaning there’d be many saviours from Zion, and we—the Church—are the saviours from Zion. We’re bearers of the divine order, carriers and dispensers of eternal verities. Praise God forevermore!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for qualifying me to be an ambassador of Christ, showing men and women the way to the Kingdom. I recognize that I’m the hope and light of the world; I function in this ministry of reconciliation with everything that I am and with all that I have, ushering many in my world into the Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Children Of The Word

“너희는 우리의 편지라 우리 마음에 썼고 뭇 사람이 알고 읽는 바라”(고후 3:2)

모든 그리스도인은 말씀으로 태어났습니다. 그러므로 우리는 말씀의 자녀들입니다. 성경은 말합니다. “너희가 거듭난 것은 썩어질 씨로 된 것이 아니요 썩지 아니할 씨로 된 것이니 살아 있고 항상 있는 하나님의 말씀으로 되었느니라.”(벧전 1:23) 그러므로 당신은 육신이 되어 살아있는 말씀입니다!

이것이 사도 바울이 우리를 “살아있는 편지”라고 말한 의미입니다. 고린도후서 3장 3절에서 그는 말합니다. “또 너희는 우리가 섬긴 그리스도의 편지임이 분명히 드러났으니, 이는 먹으로 쓴 것이 아니라 살아 계신 하나님의 영으로 쓴 것이며, 돌판에 쓴 것이 아니라 육신의 마음판에 쓴 것이라.”(한글킹제임스)

당신이 그리스도의 편지이기 때문에 오늘날 누구든지 하나님의 말씀을 보고 싶어하는 사람은 당신을 봐야 합니다! 교회는 이런 존재입니다. 육신이 되어 살아있는 말씀입니다!

주 예수님은 인간의 육체를 입고 계신 하나님의 말씀이자, 육신 안에 거하시는 말씀이셨습니다. 그분은 하나님의 편지였습니다. 그분은 하나님께서 세상에 보내신 러브레터였습니다. 성경은 요한복음 1장 14절에서 말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거했다고 말합니다.

육신이 된 그 말씀이 우리를 낳았습니다. 야고보서 1장 18절은 이렇게 선언합니다. “그가 그 피조물 중에 우리로 한 첫 열매가 되게 하시려고 자기의 뜻을 따라 진리의 말씀으로 우리를 낳으셨느니라” 우리는 말씀의 자녀입니다. 우리는 예수님처럼 되기 위해 영적 영역에서 말씀으로 태어났습니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

당신의 생명은 말씀의 생명입니다. 당신은 평범한 사람이 아닙니다. 다른 사람들과 비슷하게 보일지도 모르지만, 당신은 다릅니다. 당신은 하나님의 메시지, 그분의 말씀입니다! 그러므로 스스로를 낮춰보지 마십시오.

Children Of The Word

Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men (2 Corinthians 3:2).

Every Christian is born of the Word; meaning, we’re children of the Word. The Bible says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 Peter 1:23). So, you’re the Word in flesh!

This is what the Apostle Paul meant by us being “living epistles.” In 2 Corinthians 3:3 he said, “clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart (NKJV).

Today, anyone who wants to see the Word of God should look at you, for you’re the epistle of Christ! This is what the Church is—the Word in flesh!

The Lord Jesus was the Word of God in human flesh—the Word tabernacled in human flesh. He was the epistle of God. He was the love-letter sent to the world by God. The Bible says in John 1:14 (NIV) that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

The same Word that became flesh gave birth to us. James 1:18 declares, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.” We’re the offspring of the Word. We were born in the realm of the spirit to be like Jesus through the Word. Glory to God!

Your life is the life of the Word. You’re not an ordinary person. You may look like everyone else, but you’re different. You’re God’s message—His Word! Therefore, never look down on yourself.

You’re not born of the corruptible seed of man, but of God’s incorruptible seed. This is the reason the life in you is the God-life; the life of the Word. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God…,” meaning you’re born of God; you hail from Him. Hallelujah!

Prayer
My life is for the glory of God. I’m not an ordinary person, for I’m a living epistle, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, known and read of all men. Through me, many are coming to the knowledge of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Get A “Word-bath”

“너희는 내가 일러준 말로 이미 깨끗하여졌으니”(요 15:3)

한 그리스도인이 아침에 일어나 TV를 켰다고 상상해보십시오. 마침 방송 중인 프로그램이 “크리스 목사 설교”였고, 그는 끝까지 집중해서 그 프로그램을 봤습니다. 그러고 나서 방송되는 프로그램은 그리스도인에게 유해한 프로그램이었습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그는 계속 그 방송을 시청했습니다.

예수님은 완전한 사람들을 위해 오지 않으셨습니다. 오히려 그분은 사람들을 완벽하게 만들어주기 위해 오셨습니다. 그분은 불완전한 사람들을 변화시켜 완벽하게 만드는 데 전문가이십니다. 그분은 베드로와 같은 “불안정한(기복이 심한)” 사람들을 세우시고 바울과 같이 해를 끼치는 사람을 변화시키셨습니다. 그 둘은 모두 강력한 복음의 사도들이 되었습니다. 예수님께서 그렇게 하셨다면, 그분은 당신이 그분의 영광을 위해 최고의 삶을 살도록 깨끗케 하시고 훈련시키실 수 있습니다.

하나님의 말씀의 깨끗케 하는 능력에 순종하십시오. 말씀을 공부하고 묵상하십시오. 당신은 “그렇지만 저는 성경을 읽을 때 어디에서부터 읽어야 하는지도 모르는 걸요.”라고 말할 수도 있습니다. 『말씀의 실재』의 내용과 언급된 모든 참고 성경구절들부터 공부하십시오.

더불어 1년 혹은 2년 성경 읽기표를 꼼꼼하게 따라 읽으십시오. 얼마 지나지 않아 당신은 인생에서 놀라운 변화를 보게 될 것입니다. 당신 주변의 사람들 역시 당신의 삶에 분명하게 나타나는 하나님의 은혜와 영광을 증언하게 될 것입니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

Get A “Word-bath”

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you (John 15:3).

Imagine a Christian waking up in the morning and turning on the TV; to discover that the programme airing happens to be “Pastor Chris Teaching.” He gives it full attention till the end, and then the next programme comes up, this time, it’s an unwholesome one for a Christian. Even so, he continues to watch.

When he’s done watching this, and several others after it (all with unwholesome contents), he’s too tired to pray or study the Word. He feels condemned, and even begins to feel too “dirty” to go to church, thinking he’d need to “clean up” first. He could start praying, “Oh God, please revive me.”

For this Christian, it’s now very necessary to go to Church! His unedifying action could slow down his progress spiritually if it continues, but he needs an urgent Word-bath! No one is ever “too dirty” for God. In our opening verse, Jesus said, “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you” (John 15:3).

It’s the ministry of the Word to cleanse you of sin, guilt, and all unrighteousness. So, don’t stay at home when you ought to be in Church because you thought you did something wrong that made you “too dirty” for God. Go to Church! He’ll clean you up! He does it through the Word.

Jesus didn’t come for perfect men. Rather, He came to make men perfect. He specializes in changing imperfect people and bringing them to perfection. He raised an “unstable” person like Peter, and transformed an injurious personality like Paul, who both became mighty apostles of the Gospel. If He’d do that, then He can cleanse and train you to become the best of you for His glory.

Submit yourself to the cleansing power of God’s Word. Study and meditate on the Scriptures. You might say, “But I don’t know where to begin to even read the Bible.” This devotional gives you a head start. Keep studying it, including all the indicated scriptural references.

In addition, meticulously follow either the one-year or two-year daily Bible-reading plan. Before long, you’ll see remarkable transformation in your life, and those around you will also attest to the grace and glory of God that’ll be evident in your life. Praise God!

Confession
Sin has no dominion over me. I walk in perfection and excellence, producing works and fruits of righteousness. The Word of God has the mastery over my mind, and I have the victory over sin and its attendant consequences. I live triumphantly, walking in righteousness and in the wisdom of Christ. We’re One With Christ

오늘의 본문 구절은 그리스도와 교회의 분리될 수 없는 하나됨에 대한 명확한 말씀입니다. 거듭나기 전의 사울은 주님께서 그를 가로막고 “어찌하여 나를 박해하느냐”고 묻기 전까지 초대 교회와 그리스도인들을 사정없이 박해했습니다.

예수님은 자신을 교회와 동일시하십니다. 사람들에게 해를 끼치는 다소의 사울에게 하신 그분의 말씀을 다시 읽어보십시오. 주님께서는 “사울아, 어찌하여 나를 따르는 자들을 박해하느냐?”고 말씀하지 않으셨습니다. 오히려 우리를 주님과 하나로 여겨 자신을 박해하는 것으로 받아들이셨습니다. 예수님은 포도나무이며 우리(교회)는 가지이므로 교회에 대한 공격은 예수님에 대한 공격입니다. 우리에게는 그분의 생명이 있습니다. 그분은 우리를 그분과 연합하게 하셨습니다.

당신이 교회를 위해서 하는 일이나 교회에 반대해서 하는 일은 곧 예수님께 하는 것과 동일하다는 것을 기억하십시오. 교회를 박해하는 것은 예수님을 박해하는 것입니다. 그분은 교회의 머리이시기 때문입니다. “그는 몸인 교회의 머리시라 그가 근본이시요 죽은 자들 가운데서 먼저 나신 이시니 이는 친히 만물의 으뜸이 되려 하심이요”(골 1:18) 머리와 몸은 같은 이름으로 불립니다. 바로 그리스도입니다! 그러므로 우리는 그리스도의 몸의 지체입니다.

거듭남으로 당신은 그리스도의 몸 안으로 침례 받았습니다. 고린도전서 12장 27절은 말합니다. “너희는 그리스도의 몸이요 지체의 각 부분이라” 그리스도의 몸의 지체로서, 당신은 그리스도의 머리와 몸 외에 다른 이름에 응답하지 않습니다. 이는 당신이 누구이며, 어디에 있으며, 무엇을 가지고 있는지 볼 수 있게 도와줍니다. 당신은 그리스도와 하나입니다.

그리스도께서 죽은 자 가운데서 부활하셨을 때, 당신도 그분과 함께 일으켜졌습니다. 이제 그분께서 보좌에 앉으셨기 때문에, 당신도 그분과 함께 통치와 영광과 권세의 자리에 앉아있습니다. 그러므로 그리스도의 영광으로 세상을 다스리고 당신의 환경을 지배하십시오!

We’re One With Christ

And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks (Acts 9:3-5).

The scripture passage above is a clear reference to the inextricable oneness of Christ and the Church. Before his conversion, Saul wreaked havoc in the early Church and persecuted Christians everywhere, until he had an encounter with the Lord, who intercepted him and asked, “…Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?”

Jesus intimately identifies Himself with the Church. Read again, His words to the injurious Saul of Tarsus. The Master didn’t say, “Saul, why persecutest thou my followers.” Rather, He took it personal, because we’re of the same stock with Him. An attack on the Church is an attack on Jesus, because He’s the Vine, and we (the Church) are the branches. We have His very life; He brought us into union with Himself.

Always remember that anything you do for, or against the Church is unto Christ. Persecuting the Church is persecuting Jesus, because He’s the head of the Church: “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence” (Colossians 1:18). The head and the body go by the same name—Christ! Thus, we’re members of the body of Christ.

Being born again, you’ve been baptized into the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:27 says, “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” As a member of the body of Christ, you don’t answer a name that’s different from that of the head or of the body, which is Christ. This is to help you see who you are, where you are, and what you have; you’re one with Christ.

When He was raised from the dead, you were raised up together with Him. Now that He’s seated on the throne, you’re seated together with Him in the place of dominion, glory and authority. Therefore, rule the world and dominate your environment with the glory of Christ!

Confession
I’m seated together with Christ in the place of dominion, glory and authority, reigning and ruling over circumstances and situations, dominating my world, by the power of the Holy Ghost! Glory to God forever!

The Right Time To Pray And Fast

“그 때에 요한의 제자들이 예수께 나아와 이르되 우리와 바리새인들은 금식하는데 어찌하여 당신의 제자들은 금식하지 아니하나이까 예수께서 그들에게 이르시되 혼인집 손님들이 신랑과 함께 있을 동안에 슬퍼할 수 있느냐 그러나 신랑을 빼앗길 날이 이르리니 그 때에는 금식할 것이니라”(마 9:14-15)

예수님은 제자들에게 금식에 대해 가르치시면서 다음과 같이 주의를 주셨습니다. “금식할 때에 너희는 외식하는 자들과 같이 슬픈 기색을 보이지 말라 그들은 금식하는 것을 사람에게 보이려고 얼굴을 흉하게 하느니라 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 그들은 자기 상을 이미 받았느니라”(마 6:16) 주님의 말씀은 금식에 대한 새로운 생각을 갖게 하고 우리에게 깨달음을 줍니다.

오늘의 본문 구절(15절)에서 예수님은 이렇게 말씀하십니다. “…혼인집 손님들이 신랑과 함께 있을 동안에 슬퍼할 수 있느냐 그러나 신랑을 빼앗길 날이 이르리니 그 때에는 금식할 것이니라.” 이 부분에서 예수님은 하늘에 계신 아버지께 돌아가는 그분 자신에 대해 말씀하고 계십니다. 그리고 그분의 승천 이래로 교회는 금식해왔으며, 초대 교회의 제자들과 사도들도 금식했습니다. 따라서 기도와 금식은 그리스도인으로서 우리의 영적 활동의 한 부분이 되었습니다. 우리는 필요한 경우 금식합니다. 누군가는 “금식할 필요가 있는 때는 언제입니까?”라고 물을 수 있습니다.

첫 번째로 당신이 속한 교회에서 기도와 금식을 선포할 때가 바로 금식할 때입니다. 이것은 공동체의 활동이므로 이러한 부름에서 자신을 제외시키지 마십시오. 우리가 공동체적으로 하는 일들이 있습니다. 예배를 비롯한 여러 가지 공동체적인 일들은 우리를 영적으로 성장시키고 세우기 위한 것입니다. 기도와 금식 역시 여기에 포함됩니다.

The Right Time To Pray And Fast

Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not? And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast (Matthew 9:14-15).

In admonishing His disciples on fasting, the Lord Jesus cautioned, “Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward” (Matthew 6:16). The Lord’s remark was both thought-provoking and enlightening.

In the preceding verse 15, He had said, “…Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.” Here, He was referring to Himself returning to the Father in heaven. Moreover, ever since His ascension, the Church has fasted—the disciples and apostles of the early Church fasted. Thus, prayer and fasting have been part of our spiritual activity as Christians. We fast when necessary. “When is it necessary to fast?” someone might ask.

First, when your local church or congregation proclaims a prayer and fasting programme, that’s a time to fast. Never isolate yourself from such a call, because it’s part of our corporate activity. There’re things we do corporately; corporate worship, and many other things that are intended for spiritual growth and edification; prayer and fasting are among them.

Secondly, when you choose to fast and pray, or the Holy Spirit leads you to do so, don’t ignore it. That’s another great opportunity, especially if it’s the Spirit guiding you; and you’ll know when He’s the One leading you to fast.

Some people schedule prayer and fasting as a means for their own spiritual exercise, and that’s excellent. So, in whichever way and at whatever time you’re guided to fast, take it seriously. Make fasting and praying a part of your personal spiritual routine.

If, in your local assembly, the announcement is made for a praying and fasting session, don’t unilaterally decide you’re not going to be a part of it. Don’t, on your own, choose when you’ll break your fast. That’ll be wrong. Be disciplined to always get involved, being aware that the benefits are essential to your spiritual growth: “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come” (1 Timothy 4:8).

Remember that through fasting and prayer, your effectiveness in the things of the spirit are improved. Your ability to hear and receive from God is sharpened, and you’re more attuned to the finer signals and instruction of the Spirit that you need for a higher level of life; a life of continuous glory and success!

Prayer
I’m sensitive to the leading of the Spirit, and His guidance in my life for my spiritual growth and development. My acts of service in the house of God will inspire commitment, growth and development of younger Christians, such that there will be no cause for stumbling for them, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Your Speech Controls Your Life

“우리가 다 실수가 많으니 만일 말에 실수가 없는 자라면 곧 온전한 사람이라 능히 온 몸도 굴레 씌우리라”(약 3:2)

그리스도인로서의 온전함 혹은 성숙함은 주로 당신의 입, 곧 말을 통해 나타납니다. 인생에서 바른 방향으로 나아가고 싶다면 당신의 혀가 방향을 잡아주는 나침반의 역할을 할 것입니다. 말로 다른 사람을 불쾌하게 한다면, 즉 의사소통 방식이 건전하지 않다면, 당신의 삶은 위험에 처하게 됩니다. 당신의 말이 당신을 지배합니다.

잠언 18장 21절은 말합니다. “죽고 사는 것이 혀의 힘에 달렸나니…” 예수님께서도 “…마음에 가득한 것을 입으로 말함이라”(마12:34)고 말씀하셨습니다. 따라서 당신의 생각을 통해 당신의 성품이 형성되고, 이는 당신의 말로 표현됩니다. 당신의 생각은 곧 당신의 성품이지만, 당신의 “말”은 당신의 삶입니다. 당신의 말이 이토록 중요합니다.

로마서 10장 10절에서는 “…입으로 시인하여 구원에 이르느니라”라고 말합니다. 이것은 원리입니다. 하나님께서 여호수아에게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “이 율법책을 네 입에서 떠나지 말게 하며 주야로 그것을 묵상하여…”(수 1:8)

하나님의 말씀을 묵상하십시오. 당신의 입에서 떠나지 않게 하십시오. 이는 지속적으로 말씀을 주장하는 것을 뜻합니다. 무슨 일이 일어날지라도 당신의 입술에 말씀을 지키십시오. 성경은 말합니다. “사람들이 내던져지면 너는 ‘일으킴이 있으리라’고 말할지니라…”(욥 22:29, 한글킹제임스) 당신의 말의 중요성은 아무리 강조해도 지나치지 않습니다.

상황이 힘들고 어려울 때, 당신이 일으켜지기를 기다리지 마십시오. 당신은 자신의 입에 들어올리는 힘을 가지고 있습니다. 당신은 자신의 입을 통해 스스로를 어둠에서 위대함으로 쏘아 올립니다. 당신은 스스로를 물가상승, 궁핍함, 부족함의 노예에서 부요함으로 끌어올릴 수 있습니다. 당신이 어떤 말을 하는지에 달려있습니다! 더할 나위 없이 축복 받았고, 번영하고, 재정적 풍요함을 누린다고 선언하십시오. 그러면 당신의 삶은 그 방향으로 이끌려 갈 것입니다.

나의 말은 하나님의 생각과 내 삶에 대한 그분의 방향과 일치합니다. 나는 번영, 승리, 성공, 성장, 재정적 부요함이 내 삶의 특징이라고 선언합니다! 아멘!

Your Speech Controls Your Life

For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body (James 3:2).

Christian perfection or maturity is expressed chiefly in your mouth—your communication. If you want to go in the right direction in life, your tongue is the compass. If you offend in words, that is, if your communication is unwholesome, your life will be in jeopardy. Your speech controls you.

Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue….” Jesus said, “…out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” (Matthew 12:34). So, through your thoughts your character is formed, but it’s expressed in your talk, in your words. Meaning, your thinking is your character; but your “talking” is your life. That’s how important your words are.

Romans 10:10 says, “…with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” It’s a principle. God said to Joshua, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night…” (Joshua 1:8).

Meditate on the Word of God; and don’t let it get out of your mouth. That means keep affirming the Word. No matter what’s happening around you, keep the Word on your lips. The Bible says, “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up…” (Job 22:29). Again, the emphasis is on what you say.

When things are rough and tough, you’re not to wait to be lifted; you have a lifting power; it’s in your mouth. With your mouth, you catapult yourself from obscurity to greatness! You lift yourself from the thraldom of inflation, austerity, and lack to abundance. It’s about what you say! Declare that you’re supremely blessed, prosperous, and walking in financial abundance and your life will gravitate in that direction.

What is it that you want? It’s all in your mouth. Say it, and you’ll have it! That’s what Jesus said in Mark 11:23: “For verily I say unto you…whosoever shall say…and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Blessed be God!

Prayer
My speech is modelled in line with God’s thoughts and direction for my life. I declare that prosperity, victory, success, growth and financial abundance are the hallmarks of my life! Amen!
