Jesus Is The Christ

“또 물으시되 너희는 나를 누구라 하느냐 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 주는 그리스도시니이다 하매”(막 8:29)

사도행전 17:1-3에서 누가는 바울과 그의 동료들이 어떻게 암비볼리와 아폴로니아를 거쳐 마침내 데살로니가에 도착했는지 설명했습니다. 그 지역에서 그들은 회당에 들어갔고, 바울은 세 번의 안식일 동안 연속적으로 유대인들과 토론했습니다.

사도 바울은 풍부한 성경적 추론을 통해 설득력 있는 사례를 제시하며 그리스도가 고난을 받고 죽은 자 가운데서 살아났어야 했음을 말하고 증명했습니다. 바울이 말한 내용 중 가장 아름다운 부분은 다음과 같습니다. 바울은 그가 전하고 선포한 예수님이 진정 그리스도이셨다고 말했습니다.

예수님이 그리스도이시라는 것은 주님의 메시지였습니다! 이것은 너무나 중요합니다. 이 진리의 능력을 절대 과소평가하지 마십시오. 예수님은 그리스도이시며 하나님의 아들이십니다. 당신이 이 진리를 믿는다면 그리스도 안에 있는 모든 축복은 당신의 것이 될 것입니다. 주님이 그렇게 말씀하셨기 때문입니다.

그러나 예수님이 그리스도이심을 믿기 위해서는 먼저 예수님이 육신을 입고 오셨다는 사실을 믿어야 합니다. 요한일서 4장에서 사도 요한은 이상한 교리를 가지고 와서 예수님이 육신을 입고 오셨다는 실재를 부인하는 거짓 교사들에게 경고했습니다.

따라서 주님은 그리스도인들이 하나님으로부터 온 영인지 아닌지 분별해야 한다고 말씀하셨습니다. 여기에는 중요한 판단기준이 있습니다. “이로써 너희가 하나님의 영을 알지니 곧 예수 그리스도께서 육체로 오신 것을 시인하는 영마다 하나님께 속한 것이요…”(요일 4:2-3)

위 구절에 대해서 여러 번역자들은 실제 원문인 “그리스도로서의 예수” 대신 “예수 그리스도”를 사용해야 한다고 잘못된 가정을 했습니다. 그러나 NET 번역본은 이를 바르게 번역했습니다. “하나님의 영은 이것으로 알지니 육신으로 오신 그리스도로서의 예수를 고백하는 영마다 하나님께 속한 영이니라”

육신으로 오신 그리스도로서의 예수를 고백하는 영마다 하나님께 속한 영입니다. 따라서, 그리스도로서의 예수는 육신 곧 육체 안에서 오셨습니다. 그리고 우리는 그분의 몸이 십자가에 못 박히고, 장사되고, 영광스럽게 부활하셨음을 압니다. 이는 구원에 관한 중요한 진리입니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다.

기도

복되신 주 예수님은 그리스도이시며 육신을 입고 오셔서 죽으시고, 장사되시고, 부활하셔서 우리를 의와 승리와 탁월함과 영광의 삶으로 인도하셨습니다. 예수님은 완전한 신성의 화신이십니다. 교회를 통해 예수님 자신을 나타내시니 감사하며 경배드립니다. 예수님의 영광은 영원합니다. 아멘.

JESUS IS THE CHRIST

“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ” (Mark 8:29 NIV).

In Acts 17:1-3, Luke explained how Paul and his companions journeyed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, eventually reaching Thessalonica. There, they entered a synagogue, and for three consecutive Sabbaths, Paul engaged in discussions with the Jews.

With copious scriptural inferences, he presented a compelling case, setting forth and proving that it was necessary for Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead. But here’s the most beautiful assertion Paul made. He told them that Jesus, whom he proclaimed and preached unto them, was indeed the Christ.

That was His message—that Jesus is the Christ! This is too important; never underestimate the power of this truth. Jesus is Christ, the Son of God. If you would believe that, all the blessings in Christ will be yours because that is what He said.

However, to believe that Jesus is the Christ, you must first believe that Jesus came in a physical body. In 1 John 4, the apostle John in his writings warned against false teachers, having encountered some who came up with a strange doctrine, denying the reality that Jesus came in the flesh!

Therefore, He emphasized that Christians should test the spirits to determine whether they are from God. But here’s a key criterion: “Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God…”(1 John 4:2-3).

In the verses above, the translators erroneously assumed “Jesus Christ” should be used instead of the actual original rendering, which is “Jesus as the Christ.” The New English Translation (NET) got it right; it says, “By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses Jesus as the Christ who has come in the flesh is from God.”

Every spirit that confesses Jesus as the Christ who has come in flesh is from God. So, Jesus as the Christ, came in the flesh, in the physical body. And we know that His body died—He was crucified, buried, but gloriously resurrected. This is important for salvation. Praise God.

PRAYER

Blessed Lord Jesus, you’re the Christ, who came in the flesh, died, was buried and resurrected to usher us into a life of righteousness, victory, excellence and glory. You’re the complete embodiment of Deity. I worship and thank you for revealing yourself through your Church. Your glory is everlasting. Amen.

“그가 떨며 심히 놀라 이르되, 주여, 내가 무엇을 하기 원하시나이까? 하매 주께서 그에게 이르시되, 일어나 도시로 들어가라. 그러면 네가 반드시 해야 할 일을 듣게 되리라, 하시니라.”(행 9:6, 한글흠정역)

사도행전 10장에는 베드로와 고넬료의 이야기가 나옵니다. 로마 백부장 고넬료는 경건하고 하나님을 경외하는 사람으로 가난한 사람들을 정기적으로 돕고 있었습니다. 그러나 그는 아직 구원받지 못한 상태였습니다. 환상 중에 천사가 그에게 나타나, 베드로에게 사람을 보내 그의 가족 전체가 구원받을 수 있도록 말씀을 전해달라고 청하라고 지시했습니다.

어떤 사람은 “왜 천사는 고넬료에게 구원을 위해 해야 할 일을 직접 알려주지 않았습니까? 왜 베드로에게 가서 설득하는 과정을 갖는 것입니까?”라고 묻습니다. 하나님은 구원의 메시지를 전하기 위해 천사가 아닌 사람을 보내셨기 때문입니다. 하나님의 방식은 사람을 구원하기 위해 사람을 쓰는 것입니다.

이 원리는 우리에게 구원을 주시기 위해 하나님께서 친히 사람이 되셨다는 사실에서 잘 드러납니다. 그렇기 때문에 고넬료와 그의 가족을 구원하기 위해 여전히 사도 베드로를 사용하셔야 했습니다. 그분의 복음은 사람에게 맡겨졌고 사람에 의해 전파되어야 했습니다. 여기서 사람이란 남성, 여성 모두를 의미합니다.

바울은 디모데전서 1:11에서 “이 교훈은 내게 맡기신 바 복되신 하나님의 영광의 복음을 따름이니라”고 말했습니다. 복음은 천사들이 아닌 당신에게 맡겨졌습니다. 따라서 그분의 명령을 받아들이고 당신의 세상과 열방에 빛이 되십시오. 복음의 구원하는 진리와 변화를 일으키는 실재로 사람들의 심령에 빛을 비추고 깨닫게 하십시오.

땅끝까지 구원의 메시지를 전하는 것은 우리의 고귀한 책임입니다! 그러므로 이 특권을 기뻐하고 이것이 당신 삶의 목적의 가장 중요한 부분이 되게 하십시오. 당신은 복음 안에서 섬기고, 하나님의 의를 선포하고, 이 땅과 사람들의 심령에 하나님의 왕국을 세우는 기회를 얻었습니다. 이보다 기쁜 일이 무엇이겠습니까!

HE REACHES THE WORLD OF MEN THROUGH MEN

“So he, trembling and astonished, said, ‘Lord, what do You want me to do?’ Then the Lord said to him, ‘Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.'” (Acts 9:6 NIV).

The Bible tells us the story of Peter and Cornelius in Acts 10. Cornelius, a Roman centurion, was a devout and God-fearing man who regularly gave alms to the poor, yet he wasn’t saved. In a vision, an angel appeared to him, instructing him to send for Peter who shall tell him words, whereby he and all his household shall be saved.

Someone might ask, “Why didn’t the angel directly instruct Cornelius on what he needed to do for salvation? Why the elaborate process of summoning and persuading Peter?” It’s because God sent men to bear His message of salvation, not angels. His policy is to use men to save men.

This principle is exemplified in the fact that God Himself became a man to bring salvation to us. That’s why He still needed to use the Apostle Peter to lead Cornelius and his household to salvation. His Gospel is committed to men, and to be preached by men. And by men, we mean men and women alike.

In 1 Timothy 1:11, Paul said, “According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.” The Gospel has been committed to your trust, not to the trust of angels. So, take advantage of His mandate and be light in your world and to the nations. Enlighten and illuminate the hearts of men and women with the saving truth and transforming realities of the Gospel.

It’s a noble responsibility for us to carry the message of salvation to the farthest corners of the earth! So rejoice in this privilege and let it become the focal point of your life’s purpose. You’ve been granted the opportunity to serve in the Gospel, to proclaim His righteousness and to establish His Kingdom on earth and in the hearts of people. Nothing could be more gratifying!

CONFESSION

I’m the light of the world and the bearer of Christ’s glorious gospel that leads men into salvation. Through me, men are translated from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God as I fulfil my ministry as an ambassador of Christ and of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

헤아릴 수 없는 가치의 보물

Treasures Of Inestimable Value

“그가 우리를 대신하여 자신을 주심은 모든 불법에서 우리를 속량하시고 우리를 깨끗하게 하사 선한 일을 열심히 하는 자기 백성이 되게 하려 하심이라”(딛 2:14)

하나님께는 모든 사람이 중요합니다. 남성, 여성, 소년, 소녀 모두 중요합니다! 그분은 한 사람, 한 사람을 특별하게 돌보십니다. 그래서 하나님은 숫자를 중요하게 여기지 않으십니다.

하나님은 많은 사람들의 구원을 바라시지만, 각 사람에 대한 그분의 사랑은 깊고 개인적입니다. 하나님께 당신의 가치는 당신이 상상하는 것 이상입니다. 성경을 공부해 보면 당신이 이 지구에 있는 유일한 사람이라고 할지라도 예수님은 여전히 당신을 구원하기 위해 오셨을 것이라고 깨닫게 됩니다.

그리스도의 목적은 우리의 숫자가 아니라 하나님이 생각하시는 우리의 가치에 따라 결정되었습니다. 그리스도가 우리의 구원을 위해 가장 큰 대가를 치르게 된 이유는 우리의 중요성과 가치 때문이었습니다. 누가복음 15:7이 이렇게 말하는 것은 놀라운 일이 아닙니다. “내가 너희에게 이르노니 이와 같이 죄인 한 사람이 회개하면 하늘에서는 회개할 것 없는 의인 아흔아홉으로 말미암아 기뻐하는 것보다 더하리라”

예레미야 31:3 말씀 역시 매우 아름답습니다. “… 내가 영원한 사랑으로 너를 사랑하기에 인자함으로 너를 이끌었다 하였노라” 시편 139:13-14은 다음과 같이 말합니다. “주께서 내 내장을 지으시며 나의 모태에서 나를 만드셨나이다 내가 주께 감사하옴은 나를 지으심이 심히 기묘하심이라 주께서 하시는 일이 기이함을 내 영혼이 잘 아나이다”

두 성경 구절 모두 매우 직접적이고 개인적입니다. 하나님은 당신을 사랑하십니다. 당신은 헤아릴 수 없는 가치를 지닌 하나님의 보물입니다. 하나님은 우리를 선택받은 민족, 왕 같은 제사장, 구별되어 헌신된 나라, 특별한 백성, 신성의 덕과 완벽함, 은혜, 탁월함을 내보이도록 부르십니다(벧전 2:9).

에베소서 2:10은 우리를 정점으로 이끕니다. “우리는 하나님께서 [직접] 손수 만드신 작품(그분의 솜씨)이며, [하나님께서 미리 준비해 놓으신 길을 따라] 그분께서 우리를 위해 예정하신 (사전에 계획하신) 선한 일을 하고, 그 안에서 [그분께서 우리가 미리 계획하시고 준비하신 좋은 삶을 살며] 행하도록 그리스도 예수 안에서 재창조된 [거듭 난] 자입니다.”(확대번역본)

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나를 사랑하시고 나의 구원을 위해 예수 그리스도가 치르신 값, 곧 십자가에서의 죽음으로 아버지께서 생각하시는 나의 가치를 보여주시니 감사합니다. 나는 아버지의 사랑의 눈으로 사람들을 바라보고, 그들에게 복음을 가지고 갑니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

TREASURES OF INESTIMABLE VALUE

“Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:14).

Every human person is important to God; every man, woman, boy and girl! He uniquely cares for each and every one of us. That’s why numbers bear significance to God.

While God desires the salvation of a multitude, His love for each individual is deep and personal. Your value to Him is beyond what you could ever imagine. If you study the Bible, you’ll realize that even if you were the sole inhabitant of planet earth, Jesus would still have come to save you.

Christ’s purpose wasn’t dictated by our numbers but by our worth to God. It was our importance and value to Him that compelled Him to pay the ultimate price for our salvation. No wonder the Bible says in Luke 15:7 (NKJV), “I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.”

Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV) is also very beautiful; it says, “…I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.'” Psalm 139:13-14 (NIV) says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

In both scriptures, the reference is quite direct and personal. God loves you. You’re His treasure of inestimable value. He calls us a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, called to display the virtues, perfections, graces and excellence of divinity (1 Peter 2:9).

Ephesians 2:10 (AMPC), brings it to a climax. It says, ” For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live] “

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for loving me and demonstrating your value for me by the price you paid for my salvation—the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. I see others through your eyes of love, and reach out to them with the good news of salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

We Live Above The Rudiments Of This World

“너희가 세상의 초등학문에서 그리스도와 함께 죽었거든 어찌하여 세상에 사는 것과 같이 규례에 순종하느냐”(골 2:20)

거듭난 당신은 이 세상에 속하지 않았습니다. 당신은 위로부터 왔습니다. 골로새서 3:1-2은 이에 대해 분명하게 말합니다. “그러므로 너희가 그리스도와 함께 다시 살리심을 받았으면 위의 것을 찾으라 거기는 그리스도께서 하나님 우편에 앉아 계시느니라 위의 것을 생각하고 땅의 것을 생각하지 말라.”

하나님은 왜 당신이 땅의 것들이 아니라 위의 것들에 마음을 두기를 원하십니까? 당신의 생명이 위로부터 왔으므로 땅의 것들이 당신에게 영향을 끼쳐서는 안 되기 때문입니다. “너희가 세상의 초등학문에서 그리스도와 함께 죽었거든 어찌하여 세상에 사는 것과 같이 규례에 순종하느냐”

당신은 하늘에 살고 하늘로부터 났습니다. 따라서, 당신이 속한 하늘의 일들에 당신의 초점을 맞추십시오. 이 세상의 기초에 대한 당신의 통치권을 행사하십시오. 성경은 당신이 그리스도와 함께 살리심을 받고, 함께 일으켜지고, 함께 하늘에 앉혀졌다고 말합니다(엡 2:5-6). 그곳이 당신의 자리이고, 삶의 영역이며, 기능하는 장소입니다.

당신은 완전히 다른 삶을 살아가는 그리스도의 환경에서 살고 있습니다. 모든 것이 영광스러운 환경입니다. 당신은 상황과 이 세상의 요소들에 대한 절대적 통치권이 있습니다. 그곳에는 실패, 약함, 패배, 아픔, 질병, 가난, 어떤 부정적인 것도 없습니다! 바로 이것이 오늘의 본문 구절에서 말하듯이 성령님이 우리가 이해하기를 원하시는 진리입니다. 할렐루야!

기도

사랑하는 하늘 아버지, 나를 천국의 원리로 살아가는 천국 시민으로 만들어주시니 감사합니다. 나는 그리스도의 환경에서 살고 있으며, 나는 그곳에서 영광, 의, 생명, 불멸, 기쁨, 건강, 평안, 번영, 풍성함만을 가지고 누립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

WE LIVE ABOVE THE RUDIMENTS OF THIS WORLD

“Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances” (Colossians 2:20).

Being born again, you’re not of this world; you’re from above. Colossians 3:1-2 puts it very clearly; it says, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Why does God want you to set your affection on things above and not things in the earth? It’s because your life is from above and therefore the things of the earth shouldn’t affect you. Notice again what it says: “…if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances.”

You live in, and from heaven. Therefore, set your focus on things that are pertinent to the heavenly realm to which you belong. Exercise dominion over the rudiments of this world. The Bible says you’ve been made alive together with Christ, raised together, and made to sit together with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:5-6). That’s your place, your realm of life and from where you operate.

You live in the Christ-environment where life is totally different; everything is glorious. You have absolute mastery over circumstances, over the elements of this world. There’s no failure, weakness, defeat, sickness, disease, poverty or any of the negativities of life! This is the understanding that the Spirit wants you to have as communicated in our opening verse. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for making me a citizen of heaven, living by heavenly principles. I live in the Christ-environment, where all I have and experience are glory, righteousness, life and immortality, joy, health, peace, prosperity, and abundance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“그는 진리의 영이라 세상은 능히 그를 받지 못하나니 이는 그를 보지도 못하고 알지도 못함이라 그러나 너희는 그를 아나니 그는 너희와 함께 거하심이요 또 너희 속에 계시겠음이라”(요 14:17)

주 예수님은 영광스럽게 하늘로 올라가시기 직전에 제자들에게 성령님에 관해 많이 말씀해 주셨습니다. 예수님은 성령님이 그들 안에 계실 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다. “내가 아버지께 구하겠으니 그가 또 다른 보혜사를 너희에게 주사 영원토록 너희와 함께 있게 하리니 그는 진리의 영이라 세상은 능히 그를 받지 못하나니 이는 그를 보지도 못하고 알지도 못함이라 그러나 너희는 그를 아나니 그는 너희와 함께 거하심이요 또 너희 속에 계시겠음이라”(요 14:16-17)

사도행전 1:8은 말합니다. “오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고…” 오순절 날 성령님이 그들 안에 거하시기 위해 그들에게 임하셨습니다. 성령님은 그들 안에 살기 위한 목적으로 오셨습니다. 구약에서 솔로몬은 하나님을 위해 성전을 건축했고, 하나님께 그 성전을 바칠 때 하나님의 임재가 그곳에 임했습니다(대하 5:13-14).

그러나 하나님은 그것으로 만족하지 않으셨습니다. 사도행전 7:48은 말합니다. “그러나 지극히 높으신 이는 손으로 지은 곳에 계시지 아니하시나니…” 당신이 거듭났을 때, 하나님은 당신을 그분의 것으로 만드셨습니다. 당신은 그분의 자손이자 살아있는 성전이 되었습니다. 그 순간부터 당신은 그분께 거룩해졌고 그분과 하나가 되었습니다.

당신은 오늘날 그분의 신성한 장막입니다. 그분은 당신의 그릇, 당신의 몸이 그분의 집이 되도록 신성하게 만드셨습니다. 당신은 하나님이 거하시는 처소입니다. 하나님은 말 그대로 당신 안에 살고 계십니다. 그분은 당신 안에 거하시기 때문에 당신을 통해 말씀하시고 당신 안에서 행하십니다(고후 6:16). 하나님은 당신 안에서, 당신을 통해 그분을 나타내십니다.

예수님은 이 땅에 계셨을 때, “내가 아버지 안에 거하고 아버지는 내 안에 계신 것을…”(요 14:10)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그분은 성령님을 말씀하신 것입니다. 그 동일한 성령님이 오늘날 당신 안에 거하십니다. 성령의 능력은 예수님께 역사하신 것과 같이 당신 안에서 역사합니다.

이것이 기독교의 본질입니다. 바로 이것이 예수님이 가져오시고 가능케 하신 것입니다. 즉, 당신은 하나님의 신성한 살아있는 장막입니다. 생각해 보십시오. 위대한 영광의 하나님이 지금 성령으로 말미암아 당신 안에 거하십니다. 얼마나 대단한 축복입니까! 항상 성령님을 존중하십시오. 그분과 자주 교제하십시오. 성령님은 당신이 날마다 기적적이고 초자연적인 삶을 사는데 필요한 전부이십니다.

기도

HIS SANCTIFIED TABERNACLE

“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:17).

Just before His glorious levitation into heaven, the Lord Jesus talked extensively to His disciples about the person of the Holy Spirit. He told them the Holy Spirit would be in them: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:16-17).  

Acts 1:8 says, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” (Acts 1:8). On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon them, to live in them; He came upon them for the purpose of living in them. In the Old Testament, Solomon built God a temple and at the dedication of the temple, the presence of God came upon it and into it (2 Chronicles 5:13-14).

But He wasn’t satisfied. Acts 7:48 says, “Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands….” When you were born again, God made you His own; you became His offspring and His living temple. From that moment, you were sanctified unto Him and became one with Him.

You’re His sanctified tabernacle today. He sanctified your vessel, your body, to become His house. You’re God’s dwelling place; He literally lives inside you. And because He lives in you, He speaks through you and walks in you (2 Corinthians 6:16). He manifests Himself in and through you.

When Jesus walked the earth, He said, “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works” (John 14:10); He was referring to the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit dwells in you today. His power is at work in you just as it was at work in Jesus.

This is the essence of Christianity; it’s what Jesus brought and made possible: you becoming God’s sanctified and living tabernacle. Think about it: the great God of glory lives in you today through the Holy Spirit! What a blessing! Always honour the Spirit; fellowship with Him often. He’s all you need for a life of the miraculous and the supernatural every day.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the presence of the Holy Spirit in me; I’m filled with God. Therefore, there’s no room for sickness, disease, anger, jealousy or anything of darkness in me. I’m full of light, and I light up my world. I’m never alone, because the Holy Spirit is forever in me, and with me; He’s my ever-present help in time of need! Hallelujah!

Walking In HIM

“그러므로 너희가 그리스도 예수를 주로 받았으니 그 안에서 행하되”(골 2:6)

오늘의 본문 구절은 우리에게 그리스도 예수 안에서 행하라고 권면합니다. 어떻게 그리스도 안에서 행합니까? 그리스도는 어떤 분이십니까? 성경은 그분이 살아있는, 성육신한 말씀이시라고 말합니다. 또한 하나님의 말씀은 빛입니다(시 119:105). 따라서, 그리스도 안에서 행하는 것은 말씀 안에서 행하는 것입니다. 하나님의 말씀의 빛 가운데 행하는 것입니다.

당신은 그리스도 안에서 행하면서 동시에 어둠 속에서 행할 수 없습니다. 어둠은 제한하고 방해하는 모든 것을 나타냅니다. 악한 모든 것입니다. 그렇다면 예수님은 무슨 말씀을 하셨습니까? “… 나는 세상의 빛이니 나를 따르는 자는 어둠에 다니지 아니하고 생명의 빛을 얻으리라”(요 8:12) 할렐루야!

그리스도 안에서 걸을 때 당신은 매일 그분의 생명과 영광을 날마다 경험하게 됩니다. 당신은 영원히 승리하고 번영하며 건강합니다! 성경은 그분이 빛 가운데 계신 것 같이 우리도 빛 가운데서 행해야 한다고 말합니다(요일 1:7). 그분 안에 있는 당신의 빛 가운데 행하십시오. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

기도

WALKING IN HIM

“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him” (Colossians 2:6).

Our theme verse admonishes us to walk in Christ Jesus. How do you walk in Him? Who is He? The Bible says He’s the Word—the living or incarnate Word. And the Word of God is light (Psalm 119:105). Therefore, walking in Him is walking in the Word; walking in the light of God’s Word.

Think about it; how did you receive Christ Jesus? It was by faith, and faith is walking in the Word. Remember, the Word of God is your life; you were born of the Word: “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 Peter 1:23). So it’s natural for you to live in the Word, by the Word, and through Word.

Isaiah 2:5 says, “O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.” Walking in the light of the Lord is walking in His Word. The Word of God is God and the Bible says in 1 John 1:5 that God is light: “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.”

You can’t walk in Christ and walk in darkness at the same time. Darkness represents all that limits and hinders; all that’s evil. But what did Jesus say? “…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12). Hallelujah!

When you walk in HIM, you experience His life, His glory, every day; you’re forever victorious, prosperous, and in health! The Bible says we should walk in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7); walk in the light of who you are in Him. Glory to God!

PRAYER

The Lord is my light and salvation; in Him, I stand secure forever; in Him, I live and move and have my being. In Him, I trust, for His Word is true, and never fails. By Him, I’m forever victorious, for the forces of evil are subdued before me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Righteousness: A Gift To The Ungodly

“한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다”(롬 5:17)

의는 하나님의 중요한 선물 중 하나입니다. 그러나 의가 그리스도인들이 아닌 세상을 위한 선물이라는 것을 아십니까? 의는 경건하지 않은 사람들을 위한 선물입니다. 로마서 4:5은 하나님은 경건하지 않은 사람들을 의롭게 하시는 분이라는 것을 말합니다. “일을 아니할지라도 경건하지 아니한 자를 의롭다 하시는 이를 믿는 자에게는 그의 믿음을 의로 여기시나니”

기도

RIGHTEOUSNESS: A GIFT TO THE UNGODLY

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)” (Romans 5:17).

Righteousness is one of the cardinal gifts of God; but did you know that it was a gift to the world and not to Christians? It’s a gift to the ungodly. The Bible refers to God in Romans 4:5 as One who justifies the ungodly: “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”

Notice it didn’t say He justifies the Christians. The Christian didn’t “receive” the gift of righteousness; the Christian was born righteous. You were born as the righteousness of God when you were born again.

Paul’s submission about righteousness in the Book of Romans, particularly as you’d find in chapter 5 verse 17 is a generic argument on the legality of righteousness as it was accounted to Abraham, and therefore to all who believe in Jesus Christ. We may believe it’s given to “us” as a gift, but that’s not all that God gave us as a gift.

For instance, Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Eternal life is given to sinners, not Christians; that’s what a sinner receives to become a Christian. A Christian is one who has eternal life, not one who’s “receiving” the gift of eternal life.

The Bible says anyone who believes, has eternal life. Once a man believes, right away, eternal life starts up in his spirit. So, eternal life is no longer being “gifted” to him; he was born with it and into it. He came alive with it when he received Christ. It’s the same with righteousness.

It’s like when you were born of your mother; you didn’t have to first receive the gift of life to become human; you came into existence with life—the human life! Otherwise, you wouldn’t have been said to be alive.

So, in essence, legally, the whole world has been given the gift of righteousness; it’s this gift that, when received, enables one to stand in the presence of God without guilt, fear, inferiority, or condemnation. Anyone who receives this gift is saved. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the life of glory and dominion I have in Christ. Thank you for the ministry of the Holy Spirit in me. I have the ability to think right, do right, and produce fruits and works of righteousness, and I reign in life through Christ daily. Amen.

날마다 기뻐하십시오

Joyful Every Day

“지금까지는 너희가 내 이름으로 아무 것도 구하지 아니하였으나 구하라 그리하면 받으리니 너희 기쁨이 충만하리라”(요 16:24)

오늘의 본문 구절은 아버지의 마음과 우리를 향한 그분의 갈망을 보여줍니다. 하나님은 항상 당신의 기쁨이 충만하기를 원하십니다. 기뻐하는 것은 하나님의 왕국에서 매우 중요하기 때문입니다. 성경은 말합니다. “기쁘고 즐거운 심령은 몸과 혼에 치유를 가져다 준다…”(잠 17:22, TPT번역본)

당신이 마주한 상황이 어떠하든지 상관없습니다. 기쁨을 발산하십시오. 항상 기뻐하십시오. 우리의 기쁨에 대한 아름다운 점은 우리의 기쁨이 성령의 기쁨이라는 것입니다. 따라서 우리의 기쁨은 환경과 상관이 없습니다. “하나님의 나라는 먹는 것과 마시는 것이 아니요 오직 성령 안에 있는 의와 평강과 희락이라”(롬 14:17)

고백

JOYFUL EVERY DAY

“Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24).

Our opening scripture reveals the heart of the Father and His desire for us: He wants your joy to be full always. That’s because being joyful is very important in the Kingdom of God. The Bible says “A joyful, cheerful heart brings healing to both body and soul…” (Proverbs 17:22 TPT).

It makes no difference what situations you face; exude joy; rejoice evermore. The beautiful part is that our joy is of the Holy Ghost and therefore, it’s independent of circumstances: “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” (Romans 14:17).

We’re full of joy even in the face of adversities and persecution: “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations” (James 1:2). That means no room for frustration in your life. When others come in contact with you they experience joy unspeakable and full of glory.

The Bible tells us about the children of Israel; how their joy was heard afar off as they offered great sacrifices and rejoiced after rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem: “Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.” That lets you know that joy has expressions. Laughter, singing songs of praise in thanksgiving are expressions of joy.

So, despite the terrible things happening in the world today, be full of joy every day. Give no place to gloom in your life. Generate and release joy and excitement from inside you.

CONFESSION

I’m exuberant with praise always, expressing joy unspeakable and full of glory, because the joy of the Lord is my strength. My joy is independent of circumstances; it comes from my inner man and transcends circumstances. My joy is permanent, and it keeps me strong and alive. Glory to God!

Know What You Have Inside You

어떤 사람이 “왜 저는 항상 화가 나고 사람들에게 소리를 지르는지 모르겠습니다. 그런 제 모습이 싫지만 어떻게 바꿔야 할 지 모르겠습니다.”라고 말했습니다. 만일 당신도 그렇다면 스스로에게 “오늘부터 나는 다른 사람입니다. 나는 하늘에 계신 아버지의 본성과 성품을 가지고 있기 때문입니다. 나는 오래 참고, 절제하고, 온유하고, 자애롭고, 친절합니다.”라고 말하십시오.

내가 말씀을 묵상할 때 내 영의 신성한 속성이 양육되고 나를 통해 나타나 내 세상을 축복합니다. 나는 사랑, 기쁨, 평안, 온유함, 친절함, 선함, 믿음, 절제의 화신입니다. 내 안에서 능력있게 역사하는 주님의 은혜와 주님의 빛 가운데 행하고 항상 주님의 갈망을 성취하게 하는 믿음에 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE INSIDE YOU

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23).

Somebody said, “I don’t know why I’m always getting angry every day, shouting at people. I detest it but I don’t know what to do.” If that has been your experience, say to yourself, “From today, I’m a different person, because I have the nature and character of my heavenly Father. I’m patient, I’m temperate, I’m meek, and I’m gracious and kind.

Grow the character of God that is in your spirit through your recognition of His divine attributes and nature in your spirit. Philemon 1:6 says, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”

Acknowledge and declare that you have all the fruits of the spirit in you: love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. The Word of God says they’re in your spirit. Therefore, don’t say, “I have a problem with love; I don’t know how to love people.” Rather, declare, “I’m full of love; the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit. I am a manifestation of the love of God; love radiates through me.”

You must know what you have inside. How do you know? It’s from the Word of God. For example, the Word says, “You’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”; therefore, don’t say you’re trying to be righteous. Say that you’re righteous because the Word says so.

Also, declare that your faith is growing and effective, because faith is one of the attributes of your recreated human spirit. You already have faith according to the Scriptures (Romans 12:3), and with your faith, you can do anything, have anything, go anywhere and be all that God has destined you to be. The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 17:20, “…If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

CONFESSION

As I meditate on the Word, the divine attributes of my spirit are nurtured and manifested through me to bless my world. I’m an embodiment of love, joy, peace, meekness, gentleness, goodness, faith and temperance. I thank you Lord for your grace at work in me mightily, and the faith to walk in your light and fulfil your desires at all times, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Just Say “Yes”

많은 사람들은 성경에서 읽은 복음의 놀라운 축복을 어떻게 그들의 삶에서 실제화할지 고민합니다. 성경이 그리스도 안에서 그들의 것이라고 말하는 모든 것과 실제 경험 사이에는 간극이 있습니다.

오늘의 본문 구절은 이러한 축복에 어떻게 빛을 비출지, 삶에서 어떻게 나타나게 할지에 대한 간단한 원리를 보여줍니다. 주님은 “나를 따라오라 내가 너희를 사람을 낚는 어부가 되게 하겠다”고 말씀하셨습니다. 그분은 “나를 따라와 사람 낚는 어부가 되기 위해 노력해라”고 말씀하지 않으셨습니다.

JUST SAY “YES”

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19).

Oftentimes, many are plagued with the question of how to make the wonderful blessings of the Gospel they’ve read about in the Scriptures a reality in their lives. There seems to be a gulf between all that the Bible says is theirs in Christ and their experience of Him.

But the words of Jesus in our opening verse unveil a simple principle that can help us understand how to bring these blessings to light, and how to have them manifested in your life. He said, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” He didn’t say, “Follow me and try to become fishers of men.”

Don’t try to be who you already are; don’t struggle to get what you already have; just say, “Yes” to Him. Say yes to His Word. Every so often you declare, “I’m what God says I am; I have what He says I have, and I can do what He says I can do.” So, if you were a cell leader, for example, don’t say, “I’ve been pursuing my members; I can’t understand why only 4 out of my 20 members come for meetings. I just keep trying and I have done everything.”

Jesus said, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” But, here you are, “trying” to be a fisher of men and it’s not working. Stop struggling. Stop trying to convert souls; become what you really are by saying, “Yes!” It sounds too simple, but that’s how it works.

What could be harder than the salvation of the human spirit? Even so, we received salvation by simply saying “Yes” to God! All the blessings we now enjoy came because of the salvation we received by saying, “Yes, I believe in Jesus Christ that He died for me, and that God raised Him from the dead; and I declare that He is Lord of my life.” And that was it.

You believed and said, “Yes!” You talked your believing and it was settled; it worked. If it worked for salvation, (and salvation includes everything that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ consummated for us), then the same principle will work for your ministry, your family life, your finances, your job and everything in this world! Just say, “Yes!” Believe and talk your believing.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for giving me everything I require to live victoriously and be a success in life. I follow you in and by the Word. Therefore, I’m what you say I am, I have what you say I have, and I can do what you say I can do. You’ve given me a life of praise, glory and thanksgiving. Thank you for your Word that prevails in and through me today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
