의 안에서 다스리기

Reigning In Righteousness

“한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다”(롬 5:17)

하나님의 모든 자녀는 이 생명 안에서 왕이며, 의 안에서 다스리도록 부름 받았습니다. 의는 당신이 하나님의 임재 앞에 아무런 정죄감 없이 서고, 그분과 교제하며, 당신의 영에 그분의 올바름(rightness)을 가질 수 있는 능력을 부여합니다. 이것이 우리의 담대한 믿음의 근원입니다.

이것이 바로 우리가 담대하게 그분의 이름으로 명령을 내리고, 어떠한 일이 일어나라고 명한 뒤 그것을 취할 수 있는 이유입니다. 왜냐하면 우리의 의는 우리가 무엇을 하거나 하지 않아서 주어진 것이 아니라, 예수님이 하신 일에 관한 것이기 때문입니다. 하나님은 아무 대가 없이 당신을 의롭다고 선언하셨고, 그렇게 함으로써 그분 자신 또한 의롭다고 선언하셨습니다. “곧 이 때에 자기의 의로우심을 나타내사 자기도 의로우시며 또한 예수 믿는 자를 의롭다 하려 하심이라”(롬 3:26). 할렐루야!

의는 우리를 지배자로 만듭니다. 의는 우리에게 통치권을 줍니다. 당신은 피해자가 아닌 그리스도 예수 안에서 승리자입니다. 요한은 이 사실을 알고 이렇게 선포했습니다. “자녀들아 너희는 하나님께 속하였고 또 그들을 이기었나니 이는 너희 안에 계신 이가 세상에 있는 자보다 크심이라”(요일 4:4).

하나님은 그분의 의의 본성을 당신 안에 전이시키셨고, 이것이 바로 당신을 하나님답게 만드는 것입니다. 그 본성이 당신을 하나님과 같이 생각하고, 보고, 말하게 합니다. 당신은 그리스도를 통하여 그분의 위치까지 올려졌습니다. 오늘의 본문 구절은 말합니다. “…은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다.” 당신은 사탄과 이 세상의 요소들 위에서 다스리도록 은혜를 받았습니다.

성경은 하나님이 우리를 왕과 제사장으로 삼으셨으며, 우리가 이 땅을 다스려야 한다고 말합니다. 왕은 명령과 선언을 공표함으로 다스립니다. 전도서 8:4은 말합니다. “왕의 말은 권능이 있나니 누가 그에게 이르기를 왕께서 무엇을 하시나이까 할 수 있으랴?” 그러므로 성경에서 당신이 무엇을 결정하면 이루어질 것이라고 말한 것은 당연합니다(욥 22:28).

기도

거룩하고 의로우신 아버지, 나에게 당신의 의를 주시고, 당신 앞에 어떠한 죄책감이나 정죄감이나 열등감 없이 설 수 있는 능력을 주시니 감사드립니다. 의로 말미암아 나는 생명 안에서 다스리고 지배하며 당신의 이름에 영광을 돌립니다. 나는 영원한 승리 안에서 걷고, 당신의 영광을 어디서나 나타냅니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다.

REIGNING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ) (Romans 5:17).

Every child of God is a king in this life, and called to reign in righteousness. Righteousness gives you the ability to stand in the presence of God without condemnation; to stand in fellowship with God, having His rightness in your spirit. This is where our audacity of faith comes from.

This is the reason we’re bold to make demands in His Name, decree a thing and have it established.

It’s because our righteousness is of Him, not what you did or didn’t do, but what Jesus did. God declared you righteous freely, and declared Himself to be righteous by so doing: “To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus” (Romans 3:26). Hallelujah!

Righteousness makes us masters; it gives us dominion. You’re not a victim, but a victor in Christ Jesus. John knew this and declared, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

God has imparted His nature of righteousness to you, and that’s what makes you like Him. That nature makes you think, see, and talk like Him. You’ve been raised to His level through Christ. Our opening verse says, “…they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” You’ve received grace to reign over and above Satan and the elements of this world.

The Bible says He’s made us kings and priests and we shall reign on the earth. Kings reign by issuing decrees and pronouncements; Ecclesiastes 8:4 says,

“Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?” No wonder the Bible says you shall decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you (Job 22:28).

PRAYER

Holy and righteous Father, thank you for giving me your righteousness, granting me the ability to boldly stand before you without guilt, condemnation, inferiority or blame. In righteousness, I reign and rule in life, bringing glory to your Name. I walk in perpetual victory, manifesting your glory in every place, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

말씀이 당신의 영을 조절합니다

The Word Conditions Your Spirit

“너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라”(롬 12:2)

하나님의 말씀이 당신의 삶에서 하는 중요한 역할은 당신의 영을 조절하는 것입니다. 하나님의 말씀은 당신이 하나님과 같이 생각하도록 만듭니다. 그래서 우리가 묵상을 통해 말씀으로 우리의 마음을 새롭게 하라고 권면을 받는 것입니다.

묵상을 통해 당신의 영에 말씀이 들어갈 때, 당신은 그렇게 살도록 프로그램됩니다. 환경과 주변 세상 그리고 다른 목소리들이 당신을 말씀에서 멀어지게 하려고 하겠지만, 당신의 영이 말씀으로 프로그램된다면, 그들은 성공할 수 없습니다.

예를 들어, 당신이 지금까지 소심하거나 두려워하고 있었다면 말씀을 묵상하십시오. 디모데후서 1:7은 말합니다. “하나님이 우리에게 주신 것은 두려워하는 마음이 아니요 오직 능력과 사랑과 절제하는 마음이니.” 계속해서 다음과 같이 선언하십시오. “나는 건전한 마음을 가지고 있습니다. 나는 용감하고, 담대하며, 능력으로 충만합니다.” 얼마 지나지 않아 말씀이 당신의 영을 담대하고 용기 있고 탁월하게 만들 것이고, 당신은 믿음 안에서 용맹해질 것입니다. 말씀이 제가 왕국의 방식대로 생각하고, 담대하고 아주 용감하도록 나의 영을 조절하였고, 이제는 아무것도 그것을 바꿀 수 없습니다.

말씀은 위대한 인생을 위한 근간입니다. 당신 안에 있는 말씀이 당신을 인생의 위기에서도 난공불락으로 만듭니다. 말씀은 당신이 오로지 유리함과 승리의 관점에서만 생각하고, 보고, 행동하도록 만듭니다. 이러한 사고방식을 가질 때 당신이 하는 모든 것이 번영합니다. 당신은 탁월함과 은혜 안에서 걷습니다.

당신이 어떤 도전을 대면하고 있든, 누가 당신을 대적하고 있든, 아무 상관이 없습니다. 당신은 동요하지 않습니다. 왜냐하면 어떤 것도, 그 누구도, 당신을 성공적으로 대적할 수 없다는 것을 당신이 알도록 당신의 영이 말씀으로 프로그램되었기 때문입니다.

당신 안에 말씀을 집어넣으십시오. 골로새서 3:16은 하나님의 말씀이 당신 안에 풍성히 거하게 하라고 말합니다. 개인적으로 말씀을 공부하고 묵상하는 시간을 더욱 진지하게 가지십시오. 이렇게 할 때 말씀이 당신의 영과 하나가 되고, 당신 안에서 그리고 당신이 대면하는 상황에서 말씀이 강력하게 자라나서 승리하게 합니다. 그러면 당신은 매일 기쁨과 건강함과 힘이 넘치는 당신을 발견하게 될 것입니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

기도

하나님의 말씀은 나의 생각을 완전히 변화시키고 나의 영을 위대함과 성공과 탁월함으로 프로그램합니다. 나는 믿음 안에서 담대하고, 용감하며, 용맹합니다. 나는 왕국의 생각을 하고 말씀의 관점에서만 바라봅니다. 왜냐하면 말씀이 나의 생각을 만들었고 나의 영을 길들였기 때문입니다. 하나님께 영광 돌립니다!

THE WORD CONDITIONS YOUR SPIRIT

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind… (Romans 12:2).

Something very significant the Word of God does in your life is the conditioning of your spirit. The Word of God can condition you to think like God. It’s the reason we’re admonished to renew our minds with the Word through meditation.

When the Word gets into your spirit through meditation, you’re programmed to live accordingly.

Circumstances, the world around you, and other voices may try to sway you from the Word, but they won’t succeed if your spirit is conditioned by the Word.

For example, if you’ve been timid or afraid, meditate on the Word. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Keep affirming, “I have a sound mind; I’m bold, courageous, and full of power.” Before long, the Word will condition your spirit with boldness, courage and excellence; you’ll become audacious in faith. The Word has conditioned my spirit to think the Kingdom way, to be bold and very courageous; and nothing can change that.

The Word is the foundation for a great life. The Word in you makes you impregnable to the crises of life; it makes you think, see and act from the view-point of advantage and victory only. With such a mentality, everything you do prospers; you walk in excellence and grace. It makes no difference the challenges you face or who might be working against you; you’re unperturbed, because the Word has conditioned your spirit to know that nothing and no one can successfully stand against you.

Get the Word into you. Colossians 3:16 says to let the Word of God dwell in you richly. Take your personal study of the Word and times of meditation more seriously. That way, the Word will mingle with your spirit, grow mightily in you and over any situation you’re dealing with, and prevail. Then you’d find that you’re full of joy every day, full of health and strength.

CONFESSION

The Word of God has transformed my mind and programmed my spirit for greatness, success and excellence. I’m bold, courageous and audacious in faith; I think Kingdom-thoughts and see only from the perspective of the Word, because the Word has cultured my mind and conditioned my spirit. Glory to God!

온전한 마음과 자원하는 뜻

A Perfect Heart And A Willing Mind

“너, 내 아들 솔로몬아, 너는 네 아버지의 하나님을 알라. 그리고 온전한 마음과 기쁜 뜻으로 그분을 섬기라. 주께서는 모든 마음을 살피시고 생각의 모든 상상을 아시나니…”(대상 28:9, 한글킹제임스)

당신이 주님을 위해 무언가를 할 때, 그 마음(heart)이 어디서부터 왔는지 그리고 어떤 태도로 하는지는 매우 중요합니다. 하나님은 마음을 다 살피시며, 우리의 생각을 다 아십니다. 그래서 그분은 온전한 마음과 자원하는 뜻을 가진 자를 찾고 계십니다. 고린도후서 8:12에서 그분은 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “먼저 할 마음만 있다면 사람이 가진 대로 받으실 것이며…”(한글킹제임스)

성경이 왕 아먀사에 대해 무엇이라고 말했는지 기억하십시오. 그는 하나님이 보시기에 옳은 일을 하였으나, 온전한 마음으로 하지 않았습니다(대하 25:2). 그러면 어떻게 당신의 마음이 하나님이 보시기에 옳을 수 있습니까? 어떻게 당신이 자원하는 뜻을 가질 수 있습니까? 이는 말씀을 통하여 가능합니다. 온전하고 자원하는 마음은 말씀에 자신을 양보하고, 거룩하게 하고, 새롭게 하고, 말씀을 통해 성령의 지배를 받는 것입니다.

성경은 고린도후서 4:6에 이렇게 말합니다. “어두운 데에 빛이 비치라 말씀하셨던 그 하나님께서… 빛을 우리 마음에 비추셨느니라.” 하나님은 어떻게 이것을 하셨을까요? 말씀을 통해서 하셨습니다! 하나님의 말씀이 우리가 그분의 뜻을 알도록 우리 마음을 밝히셨습니다. 그리고 로마서 12:2에서는 이렇게 말합니다. “너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라.” 당신이 하나님의 말씀을 모른다면, 당신은 그분의 마음 즉 그분의 생각과 의견과 모든 것에 대한 그분의 온전하신 뜻을 알 수 없습니다.

이것이 바로 당신 스스로 말씀을 공부하고 알아야 하는 이유입니다. 예수님은 “너희가 성경을 알지 못하는 고로 오해하였도다”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 당신이 하나님을 올바르게 섬기고 싶다면 말씀을 알아야 합니다. 이는 말씀이 당신의 영 안으로 들어가 당신의 생각을 경작하도록 하는 것입니다. 지혜와 성령의 통찰력을 위해 말씀을 공부하는 것에 더 많은 주의를 기울이십시오. 그러면 성령님이 당신에게 어떻게 온전한 마음과 자원하는 뜻을 가지고 진실로 하나님을 섬길 수 있는지 인도하실 것입니다.

기도

나는 하나님을 사랑하며, 진실로 그분을 섬기고 항상 그분을 기쁘게 하고자 하는 마음을 가졌습니다. 말씀에 의해, 하나님과 그분의 왕국을 섬기고자 하는 나의 태도는 하나님의 사랑에서 동기부여 되고, 하나님의 사랑을 나타냅니다. 항상 모든 상황에서 하나님의 뜻이 말씀을 통해 나에게 밝혀집니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A PERFECT HEART AND A WILLING MIND

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts… (1 Chronicles 28:9).

Whatever you do for the Lord, the heart from where it comes, and the attitude with which you carry it out, matters. God searches all hearts, and understands all the thoughts and goings-on of our minds. So, He seeks a perfect heart and a willing mind.

He said in 2 Corinthians 8:12, “For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted….”

Remember what the Bible says of Amaziah the king; he did what was right in the sight of God but not with a perfect heart (2 Chronicles 25:2). But how’s your heart going to be right with God? How’s your mind going to be willing? It’s through the Word. A heart that’s perfect and willing is one that’s yielded to the Word; sanctified, renewed and under the sway of the Spirit through the Word.

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:6, “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts….” How did He do it? It’s through the Word! His Word illumines our hearts to know His will. Then it says in Romans 12:2, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” You wouldn’t know God’s mind; His thoughts and opinions, His perfect will concerning anything if you don’t know His Word.

That’s the reason you must study and know the Scriptures for yourself. Jesus said, “…Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures…” (Matthew 22:29). If you want to serve God rightly, then get to know the Word.

It’s about the Scriptures getting into your spirit and culturing your mind. Give more attention to studying the Scriptures for the wisdom and insight of the Spirit, by which He gives you guidance on how to serve God truly, with a pure heart, and a willing mind.

CONFESSION

I have a heart that loves the Lord, to serve Him truly, and to please Him always. And by the Word, my attitude to God and to service in His Kingdom is inspired by, and reflects His love. Always, and in all circumstances, the mind of God is revealed to me through the Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Your Faith In The Word

“아들을 믿는 자에게는 영생이 있고 아들에게 순종하지 아니하는 자는 영생을 보지 못하고 도리어 하나님의 진노가 그 위에 머물러 있느니라”(요 3:36)

“저는 기도도 했고, 말씀 고백도 했고, 금식도 했고, 심지어 헌금도 했습니다. 그런데 제 상황은 나아지지 않았습니다.” 가끔 사람들은 그들의 믿음에 대해 고군분투하며 이렇게 고민합니다. 대부분의 경우, 이는 그들이 어떻게 믿음을 사용하는지 배운 적이 없기 때문입니다.

삶의 고난들을 극복할 때 당신의 믿음을 표현함으로 하나님의 특별한 능력을 활용하십시오. 표현되지 않는 믿음은 이기지 못합니다(약 2:17, 26). 당신의 믿음을 말과 행동에서 드러내십시오. 역경을 대면할 때도 끄떡없이 머물러 있으십시오.

예수님은 당신이 겨자씨 한 알만한 믿음만 있어도 모든 것을 이룰 수 있다고 말씀하셨습니다. 당신에게 불가능한 것은 없습니다(마 17:20). 그러므로 힘을 내십시오. 승리는 이미 당신의 것입니다. 할렐루야! 당신이 말씀을 따라 행동한다면, 믿음이 역사하는 것은 보장된 약속입니다.

고백

하나님의 말씀이 내 심령과 입에 있고, 내가 말씀을 고백할 때마다 세력을 얻습니다! 나는 사탄과 이 세상의 요소들 위에서 살아갑니다. 왜냐하면 나는 하나님과 같은 부류이기 때문입니다! 말씀에 대한 나의 믿음으로, 나는 언제나 승리하며 살아갑니다. 나는 내 안에서 일하시는 성령님의 능력으로 내가 변화시키고 싶은 것을 변화시킬 수 있고, 내가 이루고 싶은 것을 이룰 수 있습니다. 아멘.

YOUR FAITH IN THE WORD

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him (John 3:36).

“I’ve prayed; I’ve confessed the Word; I’ve fasted; I’ve even sowed a seed; yet, my condition hasn’t improved.” Oftentimes, people agonize like this, as they struggle with their faith. This is because, for the most part, they haven’t learnt how to use their faith.

Until you discover how to make your faith work, you’ll keep struggling. We have a book titled, “How To Make Your Faith Work”; read it to learn more on the subject. There may be a time of struggling in any area of your life, where you find a difference between what the Word says and your personal experience. At such times, meditate more on the Word. Don’t focus your mind on what’s happening, but on the Word, on what you believe. Soon enough, the Word will grow mightily in you, and over that situation, and prevail.

That’s the guaranteed outcome.

Your faith is the victory over all circumstances and adversities of life: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4). Keep acting your faith on the Word. You might say, “What if it doesn’t work?” Faith always works. If it didn’t work, then it was never faith.

Take advantage of God’s extraordinary power in overcoming life’s adversities by expressing your faith.

Faith not expressed will not prevail (James 2:17 & 26).

You express your faith in words and actions, remaining undaunted in the face of adversity.

Jesus said, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you can achieve anything; nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matthew 17:20). So, cheer up; the victory is yours already. Hallelujah! There’s a guarantee that your faith will work if you’d act on the Word.

CONFESSION

The Word of God is in my heart and in my mouth, prevailing as I speak it forth! I live above Satan and the elements of this world, because I’m an associate of the God-kind! By my faith in the Word, I live triumphantly always; I can change what I want to change, and achieve what I want to achieve by the power of the Holy Spirit at work in me. Amen.

The Holy Spirit In You

“내가 아버지께 구하겠으니 그가 또 다른 보혜사를 너희에게 주사 영원토록 너희와 함께 있게 하리니 그는 진리의 영이라 세상은 능히 그를 받지 못하나니 이는 그를 보지도 못하고 알지도 못함이라 그러나 너희는 그를 아나니 그는 너희와 함께 거하심이요 또 너희 속에 계시겠음이라”(요 14:16-17)

어린 소년이었을 때, 저는 두려움으로 가득 찬 아이였습니다. 그러나 제가 성령을 받게 되자 모든 것이 바뀌었습니다. 제 안에 있던 모든 두려움이 능력을 잃고 사라졌습니다. 성령님은 제게 하나님의 말씀을 가르쳐주셨고, 저는 담대한 자가 되었습니다.

똑같은 일이 모두에게 일어날 수 있습니다. 성경은 하나님은 사람의 외모를 보지 않으신다고 말합니다(행 10:34). 하나님이 누군가를 위해 그 일을 하셨다면, 그분은 똑같은 상황에 있는 다른 이에게도 동일한 일을 하실 것입니다. 심지어 그분이 아무에게도 해주시지 않았던 일이더라도 당신이 그것을 필요로 한다면, 그분은 당신을 위해 그 일을 하실 것입니다.

어쩌면 오늘 당신은 삶에서 기대되는 것이 하나도 없을 수도 있습니다. 어쩌면 모든 사람이 당신을 포기했을 수도 있습니다! 가정에서, 학교에서, 직장에서, 혹은 동료들이 그렇게 했을지 모릅니다. 당신은 힘들어하며 “내가 더 나아질 수 있을까? 과연 나에게는 희망이 남아있는가?”라고 의문을 가질 수도 있습니다. 네, 그리스도 안에 희망이 있습니다.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;?Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16-17).

As a little boy, growing up, I was full of fear.

But everything changed when I received the Holy Spirit. All the fears in me were disabled and deleted. He began to teach me the Word of God and I became emboldened.

The Holy Spirit gave me utterance, became my teacher and began to guide and instruct me. He began to show me what to do, how to understand the Scriptures, how to interpret the Scriptures. My whole life was transformed. I knew what I was and where I was headed, and how He altered my life and redirected everything.

The same can happen for anybody. The Bible says He’s no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34); what He does for one, He’ll do for another under the same circumstance. Even if He’s never done it for anyone, and you require it, He’ll make it happen for you.

Maybe today you have low expectations in life; maybe everyone has given up on you! It may be at home, or in school, or at your workplace, or among your peers;

you’re the struggling one, and now you’re wondering, “How can I ever get better? Is there any hope for me?”

Yes, there’s hope in Christ.

No need to struggle. If you’ve received the Holy Spirit, recognize His presence in you. Learn to have fellowship with Him through the Word and prayer.

Have faith in His ability to make you a success and cause you to fulfil His destiny for your life. Take advantage of His glorious ministry in your life. Pray in tongues always and follow His guidance, and He’ll make you successful in all things.

PRAYER

Oh Lord, you’re gracious and kind. You’re my rock and my salvation, the One in whom I wholly trust.

You make all things beautiful, and you’ve granted me an extraordinary capacity to contemplate, think, envision and see endless possibilities. I bring forth beauty and excellence from within me, through the power of your Spirit that lives in me, in Jesus’ Name.

Honour The Name Of Jesus

“이러므로 하나님이 그를 지극히 높여 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주사 하늘에 있는 자들과 땅에 있는 자들과 땅 아래에 있는 자들로 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고”(빌 2:9-10)

예수님은 모든 것의 우두머리이십니다. 그분은 정사와 능력의 우두머리이십니다. 예수의 이름은 하늘과 땅과 땅 아래에서 능력이 있습니다. 모든 것이 그분의 이름에 반응합니다. 귀신은 그분의 이름에 절하고 공포에 떨며 달아납니다. 역경들도 그분의 이름을 언급하기만 하면 변화됩니다.

HONOUR THE NAME OF JESUS

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth (Philippians 2:9-10).

Jesus is head over all things; He’s the head of all principality and power. His Name has power in heaven, in the earth, and under the earth. Everything responds to His Name. Demons bow to His Name and scamper in terror; contrary circumstances are changed at the mention of His Name.

You have to learn to honour His Name for its power to work for you, in you, and through you. Your result, or how much that Name works for you is to the extent that you honour it. Honour, primarily, means to show respect to, towards or for. Honouring the Name of Jesus means giving recognition to Him, and serving Him as Lord. His Name only works for those who honour Him as Lord.

For instance, there’re sinners who agree that the Name of Jesus is the greatest Name, but they don’t serve Him; they aren’t following Him. As a result, the Name isn’t working for them. In the same way, as a Christian, you have to be subject to the Lord Jesus.

Honour Him in your life for His Name to work for you.

God said in 1 Samuel 2:30, “…them that honour me I will honour….” Jesus said, “…if any man serve me, him will my father honour” (John 12:26).

PRAYER

What a privilege to use the holy, majestic, awesome Name of the Lord Jesus, the One that’s greater than all, and to whom everything in heaven, in the earth, and under the earth bows. Today, and always, I adore and uphold the glory of your Name, and with reverence, I declare that you’re the Living God, holy, gracious and true. Amen.

The Place Of Power And Authority

“긍휼이 풍성하신 하나님이 우리를 사랑하신 그 큰 사랑을 인하여 허물로 죽은 우리를 그리스도와 함께 살리셨고 (너희는 은혜로 구원을 받은 것이라) 또 함께 일으키사 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 하늘에 앉히시니”(엡 2:4-6)

성경에 의하면, 예수님이 하늘로 올라가셔서 능력의 우편(하나님의 우편)에 앉으셨을 때 우리는 그분 안에 있었습니다. 그러므로 우리는 그분과 함께 능력과 권세의 자리에 앉혀졌습니다. 이것이 바로 그분이 우리가 이 땅에서 그분의 이름으로 살고 그 이름을 사용할 수 있도록 예수 이름을 주신 이유입니다. 왜냐하면 하늘에서 그분이 우리를 대표하시기 때문입니다. 우리는 이 땅에서 예수님을 대신하여 서 있으며 아버지의 뜻을 이룹니다. 그러나 하늘에서 우리는 그분의 이름에 응답합니다.

고백

THE PLACE OF POWER AND AUTHORITY

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:4-6).

According to the Bible, when Jesus ascended to heaven and sat on the right hand of power (the right hand of God), we were in Him. So, we’re seated together with Him in the place of power and authority. That’s why He gave us His Name to live by, to use in the earth, because in heaven, He represents us. We stand in Jesus’ stead and enforce the will of the Father here on earth. But in heaven, we answer His Name.

You’ve got to use the Name of Jesus. Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus….” Imagine what victories you’d have if you lived in the Name of Jesus!

The forces or elements of this world may want to exert their negativities on you, and get you to believe or act contrary to the Word. But you have to dominate them in the Name of Jesus!

It doesn’t matter what infirmity tries to ravage your body; place your hand over it and command it to leave your body in the Name of Jesus Christ. As the watchman over your body, give no place to sickness in your body. Jesus said in Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow them that believe…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Jesus said, “heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons” (Matthew 10:8). Therefore, exercise your authority and dominion in Christ over sickness, disease, death and the elements of this world.

CONFESSION

I’m seated with Christ in the place of power, dominion and majesty, and in a position of authority. I give no room for darkness, sickness, defeat and pain, for I dwell in a place of absolute mastery in Christ Jesus, and I’ve overcome the world. Hallelujah!

Divinely Favoured

DIVINELY FAVOURED

And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace (John 1:16 ESV).

If you’re a child of God, you’re divinely favoured, and it’s important that you recognize it. When we talk about being divinely favoured, it means that God’s grace has been lavished upon you in Christ Jesus. The Bible says, “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ” (John 1:17).

Romans 5:17 says, “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” That’s what we received: Abundance of grace! Our theme verse calls it “grace upon grace.” Hallelujah! Every so often, you should declare, “I’m walking and functioning in divine favour.”

Recall the salutation from the angel to Mary in Luke 1:28: “Hail, thou that art highly favoured….” The same expression is used in Ephesians 1:6, but wrongly translated as “accepted”: “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” The Greek is “charitoo?” and it means to grace or be imbued with special honour; make accepted or be highly favoured. So, we’re “highly favoured in the beloved.” Hallelujah!

You’ve got to take advantage of the grace of Jesus Christ at work in you. With that grace, everything works: The earth responds to you; the heavens respond to you; life is glorious; and whatever you lay your hands to do, prospers. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

God has granted me abundance of grace; I’m in favour with Him! I’m divinely positioned by His grace for a supernatural and transcendent life. Therefore, I live and walk in the consciousness of the favourfactor! And no matter what happens in the world, I will not fret! Glory to God!

He’s Right Inside You

기독교는 당신과 함께 계시는 그리스도가 아니라, 당신 안에 계신 그리스도에 관한 것입니다. 이 둘에는 분명한 차이가 있습니다. 이 위대한 영광의 하나님께서 그분의 충만함과 능력 가운데 당신 안에 살고 계심을 당신이 완벽히 이해할 때, 이는 당신이 생각하는 방식과 살아가는 방식을 변화시킬 것입니다.

HE’S RIGHT INSIDE YOU

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works (John 14:10).

Christianity is Christ in you, not Christ with you, or among you, but in you. There’s a clear difference. When it dawns on you that truly, this great God of glory, in all His fullness and power, lives in you, it’ll change the way you think and the way you live; you’ll have a completely different outlook on life.

This is what you need to train and exercise yourself in: the consciousness of the indwelling Christ.

For some, God is in Heaven, so far away; so they pray and sing, “Draw me nearer to thee O Lord!” How much “nearer” do you want to get to someone who’s right inside you? Have the mentality of Jesus; when He was on earth, He lived in union with the Father, and was constantly mindful of the Father’s indwelling presence.

We read His words in our opening verse; He said, “…the Father that dwelleth in me…”; He was referring to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is coequal with God.

He’s the Father that lives in you! So you see? He’s not far away; He’s in you! Some people worry that sometimes, it’s like their prayers don’t go beyond the ceiling; it doesn’t need to. The God to whom you pray is right inside you, where you are, under the ceiling.

1 Corinthians 6:17 talks about our inseparable union with Jesus; it says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” This is the reason you can enjoy rich fellowship with Him, and walk in union with Him.

There’s no need to try to reach out to Him, crying out as though He were far away. Everywhere you are, He’s in you, and you in Him.

Bold And Passionate For The Kingdom

“제자들이 나가 두루 전파할새 주께서 함께 역사하사 그 따르는 표적으로 말씀을 확실히 증언하시니라”(막 16:20)

복음을 열정적으로 전하십시오. 당신이 그렇게 할 때, 주님은 그분의 말씀을 따르는 표적으로 확증하실 것입니다. 우리는 이 세상에 줄 것이 있습니다. 그것은 바로 예수 그리스도의 구원하는 복음입니다.

성경은 말합니다. “그리스도의 사랑이 우리를 강권하시는도다 우리가 생각하건대 한 사람이 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽었은즉 모든 사람이 죽은 것이라”(고후 5:14). 여기서 사도 바울은 주님을 향한 우리의 사랑과 열정이 복음의 진리로 우리를 강권한다고 말합니다.

주님이 당신과 함께 계시며, 그분은 강하고 전능하십니다. 당신의 영 안에 있는 하나님의 믿음으로, 복음에 있어서 하나님과의 협력(partnership)을 더 높은 수준으로 끌어올리십시오. 하나님을 위해 “미치십시오!” 당신의 시간과 자원을 세계 선교에 투자하십시오. 계속해서 영혼을 이겨오며, 그 어떠한 것도 주님을 향한 당신의 사랑의 불씨를 꺼버리지 않게 하십시오.

성경은 많은 사람을 옳은 데로 돌아오게 한 자는 별과 같이 영원토록 빛날 것이라고 말합니다(단 12:3). 복음으로 영향력을 끼치며 더욱 빛나십시오. 복음에 열정적이고, 복음이 사람들의 삶에 미치는 영향력과 전 세계에 퍼지는 것만이 당신에게 중요한 것이 되게 하십시오.

고백

나는 하나님의 왕국과 이 땅에서의 왕국의 확장에 열정적입니다. 왜냐하면 예수 그리스도의 복음만이 이 세상을 구원하는 능력이며, 나는 이 복음의 전달자이기 때문입니다! 나는 주님을 섬기며 빛나고 있고, 성령으로 타오르고 있습니다. 아멘.

BOLD AND PASSIONATE FOR THE KINGDOM

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen (Mark 16:20).

Preach the Gospel with passion, and as you do, the Lord will confirm His Word with signs following. We have something to give to the world;

it’s the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. Recall what the Lord charged us to do: “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). He has given us both the power and authority to do mighty works in His Name and demonstrate the character of the Holy Spirit to our world.

Therefore, take your place in the ministry of the Gospel. Never lose focus of the Master’s calling on your life. Serve Him selflessly, with an undying passion.

If you’re passionate for Him, He’ll be passionate for you; He’ll stand up for you if you’d stand up for Him:

“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32).

The Bible says, “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead” (2 Corinthians 5:14). Here, the Apostle Paul says our love and passion for the Lord compels us with the truth of the Gospel.

The Lord is with you, strong and mighty; and with the faith of God in your spirit, take your partnership in the Gospel to a higher level. Get “wild” for God!

Invest your time and resources in world evangelism.

Keep winning souls and let nothing quench your love for the Lord.

The Bible says those that turn many to righteousness shall shine as stars forever (Daniel 12:3). Shine evermore by making an impact with the Gospel. Be so passionate for the Gospel that its impact in men’s lives, and spread around the world, is all that matters to you.

CONFESSION

I’m passionate about God’s Kingdom and its expansion in the earth, for the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only saving power for the world, and I’m its herald! I’m aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord. Amen.
