우리는 자급자족합니다

We’re Self Sufficient

“내가 궁핍하므로 말하는 것이 아니니라 어떠한 형편에든지 나는 자족하기를 배웠노니”(빌 4:11)

하나님의 속성 중 하나는 그분이 자급자족하시는 분이라는 사실입니다. 그분은 다른 누군가나 어떤 곳으로부터 무엇이 필요하지 않으십니다. 모든 것이 그분 안에 있습니다. 그분은 능력이 “필요”하지 않으십니다. 그분이 능력이십니다. 그분은 지혜가 “필요”하지 않으십니다. 그분이 지혜이십니다. 그분은 의가 “필요”하지 않으십니다. 그분 자신이 의입니다. 그분은 스스로 존재하시며 스스로 공급하시는 하나님이십니다. 하나님께서 그러한 생명을 당신에게도 주셨다는 것을 알고 계십니까?

하나님처럼 당신은 어떤 외부의 세력이나 요인에 의지할 필요가 없습니다. 당신이 하나님께서 원하시는 모든 것을 성취하고 그분께서 창조하신 대로 살기 위해 필요한 모든 것이 당신 안에 있습니다. 오늘의 본문 구절에 나온 단어 “자족하다(content)”의 그리스어 번역을 살펴보십시오. 이는 “아우타르게스(autarkes)”로, 영어 단어 “오타키(Autarchy)”가 이 단어에서 유래했습니다.

WE’RE SELF SUFFICIENT

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content (Philippians 4:11).

One of the attributes of God is that He’s self-sufficient. He doesn’t need anything from anyone or anywhere. Everything is in Him. He doesn’t “need” power; He is power. He doesn’t “need” wisdom; He is wisdom. He doesn’t “need” righteousness; He is righteousness. He’s the selfexistent and self-sufficient God. Did you know that’s the life He’s given you as well?

Like Him, you don’t have to depend on external forces or factors. Everything you require to fulfil all that God wants you to do, and to be all that He created you to be is in you. Consider the Greek rendering of the word “content” in our theme scripture; it’s “autarkes,” from where the English derived the word “Autarchy.”

Autarchy is the policy of economic independence on external forces; to be self-sufficient. When you study 2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMPC), you see this clearly as God’s will for His children. It says, “And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every

good work and charitable donation].”

This is simple to comprehend because truly, a Christian is one in whom Christ dwells, and Christ is everything. When you have Christ, you’re full; you have it all. This was something I meditated on much in my youth, and I made up my mind it was going to be my experience and it’s been ever since.

Make up your mind to live in blessings and abundance, because it’s the life God has given to you in Christ. Refuse to allow circumstances determine or dictate the outcome of your life. Live in God’s Word.

Even if it’s power you thought you needed, the Holy Spirit Himself, who is the power of God, lives in you.

His power in you is inherent; self-generating. Your responsibility is to activate and put it to work at all times. Get to know who you are and live accordingly, independent of circumstances. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you, for you’ve granted me all things that pertain to life and godliness. No matter what happens, I’ll always be on top, because everything I require for absolute victory and supernatural prosperity is in my spirit. I bring forth success from within me, and I’m moving from glory to glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Ever-increasing Grace, Faith And Glory

“우리가 다 그의 충만한 데서 받으니 은혜 위에 은혜러라”(요 1:16)

그리스도 안에서, 우리는 은혜로 시작된 생명을 받았습니다. ESV 번역본은 위의 본문 구절을 이렇게 말합니다. “그의 충만함으로부터 우리가 모든 것을 받았으니, 은혜 위에 은혜니라.” 할렐루야! 당신이 구원을 얻은 것도 은혜에서 비롯된 것입니다. 세상의 부와 명성을 포함하여 이 세상에 있는 그 어떤 것도 당신에게 부여된 예수 그리스도의 은혜와 비교될 수 없습니다.

EVER-INCREASING GRACE, FAITH AND GLORY

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace (John 1:16).

In Christ, we were given a life that started with grace. The English Standard Version (ESV) of our theme verse says, “And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.” Hallelujah! It was with grace that your salvation came. There’s absolutely nothing in this world – including its fame or fortune – that could be compared with what the grace of Jesus Christ has bequeathed to you.

His grace granted you all things. By His grace, you’ve been endowed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). You have all that you require for life and for godliness (2 Peter 1:3). His grace brought acceptability, advantage, favour, joy, liberality, pleasure, and fulfillment. Glory to God!

Secondly, your life is also from faith to faith; ever increasing faith! Talking about the Gospel, the Bible says, “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith…”’ (Romans 1:17). The more you receive God’s Word, the greater your faith, for “…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

Then, as you understand faith, and walk in God’s righteousness, it goes to the next level, which is “from glory to glory.” So, your life never goes down; it’s upward and forward only. So, be more conscious of the glorious life of boundless grace, faith and glory that you have in Christ. Every so often, declare, “I’m moving from grace to grace, faith to faith, and from glory to glory.” Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

My life is characterised by grace; grace heaped upon grace! God’s grace that brings favour, prosperity, health and supernatural increase has been lavished on my life! And by my faith, I’m leaping over walls; the world is beaten down before me; I reign over Satan and the elements of this world. My life is for the glory of God; His glory in, and through me is ever-increasing, to fulfil His purpose for my life, in the Name of the Lord Jesus! Amen.

교회는 그리스도의 몸입니다

The Church Is The Body Of Christ

교회에 대해 하나님으로부터 “2등급”짜리 구원을 받은 이방 민족 정도로 생각하는 사람들이 있습니다. 교회에 대한 이러한 잘못된 믿음을 가지고 있는 사람들은 교회의 신비를 이해하지 못했습니다.

일부 사람들이 교회에 대해 예수 그리스도의 복음을 이해하지 못하는 이유는 그들이 붙잡고 있는 구약에서는 교회에 대한 계시를 설명하고 있지 않기 때문입니다. 구약에서 교회는 신비였습니다. 교회는 구약의 선지자들에게는 드러나지 않았습니다. 그래서 유대교의 전문가들은 구약의 선지자들이 이방인의 구원을 증거했음에도 불구하고 교회에 대해 아는 것이 하나도 없습니다.

교회에 대해 알기 위해서는 복음서를 공부해야 하며(예수님이 직접 하신 말씀들을 통해), 그 다음에 그리스도의 몸으로서 교회가 드러난 계시가 나와 있는 서신서를 읽어야 합니다.

에베소서 2:16-17은 말합니다. “또 십자가로 이 둘을 한 몸으로 하나님과 화목하게 하려 하심이라 원수 된 것을 십자가로 소멸하시고 또 오셔서 먼 데 있는 너희에게 평안을 전하시고 가까운 데 있는 자들에게 평안을 전하셨으니.” 다른 말로 하면, 하나님은 유대인과 이방인 모두에게 평안과 화해를 가르치셨고, 그 둘을 함께 교회라는 하나의 몸으로 부르셨습니다! 이것은 유대인과 이방인, 두 그룹의 사람들로 이루어진 새로운 몸입니다. 그러나 이 몸 안에 들어오기 위해서는, 당신이 유대인이든 이방인이든 상관없이 당신은 반드시 거듭나야 합니다.

고백

THE CHURCH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30).

There’re some who see the Church as a Gentile nation that got some “second-class” salvation from God. Those who hold such erroneous beliefs about the Church don’t understand the mystery of the Church.

The reason some people don’t understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ about the Church is that the Old Testament, which is what they hold on to, doesn’t explain the revelation of the Church. It was a mystery; it wasn’t revealed to the Old Testament prophets. So, the experts in Judaism don’t know anything about the Church, even though the prophets testified of salvation of Gentiles. To learn about the Church, you’d have to study from the gospels (from the words of Jesus Himself) and then into the epistles where the revelation of the Church as the Body of Christ was unveiled.

Ephesians 2:16-17 says, “And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.” In other words, God preached peace and reconciliation to both the Jews and the Gentiles and brought them together in one body called the Church! It’s a new body made up of people from among the two groups: Jews and Gentiles. However, to be in this body, you must be born again, whether you’re a Jew or you’re a Gentile.

Neither of the two groups is inferior to the other.

Our opening verse says, “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.” It doesn’t get closer than that! The Church is His body. And when He said, “…I will build my church…” (Matthew 16:18), He was talking about the body of Christ, and that’s you and me, all our brothers and sisters around the world;

we’re the expressions of His reality, of His fullness, His grace, glory, kingdom, power and personality. We’re His body! Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I’m a member of the body of Christ, the expression of His reality, His grace, glory, kingdom, power and personality! He’s my completeness. What an honour it is to be the expression of His fullness! I carry His life and divinity in me?spirit, soul and body?because I’m a member of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones! Praise God.

영생의 전이

The Impartation Of Eternal Life

“또 증거는 이것이니 하나님이 우리에게 영생을 주신 것과 이 생명이 그의 아들 안에 있는 그것이니라”(요일 5:11)

당신이 예수 그리스도의 복음을 믿고 그분을 당신 인생의 주님으로 받아들일 때, 그분은 당신의 영에 영생을 전이하셨습니다. 영생, 곧 하나님과 같은 종류의 생명은 하나님의 본성입니다. 기독교는 당신이 하나님이 아버지 되심을 깨달은 직후, 하나님의 생명과 본성이 당신의 인간의 영에 전이됨으로 시작합니다. 당신은 하나님께 산 자가 되었습니다! 이것은 또한 당신이 하나님의 사랑의 아들의 왕국에 속했다는 증거이기도 합니다.

THE IMPARTATION OF ETERNAL LIFE

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son (1 John 5:11).

When you believed the Gospel of Jesus Christ and received Him as Lord of your life, He imparted your spirit with eternal life. Eternal life is the nature of God; the God-type of life. Christianity starts with the impartation of the life and nature of God into your human spirit, right after which you’re awakened to the fatherhood of God; you come alive in God!

That’s also the evidence that you’re in the Kingdom of God’s dear Son.

The Bible says we were delivered from the domain of darkness, and transferred into the Kingdom of God’s Son (Colossians 1:13). You live in the Kingdom of God now; and you have eternal life now. But if you don’t recognize this reality, you can’t live the Kingdom life;

you’ll be walking as a mere mortal.

Now that you’re born again, immortality took over mortality: “This truth is now being unveiled by the revelation of the anointed Jesus, our life-giver, who has dismantled death, obliterating all its effects on our lives, and has manifested his immortal life in us by the Gospel” (2 Timothy 1:10 TPT). You don’t have two natures in you; you have one, and it’s the immortal life and nature of God. You’re a divine being encased in a human body; born of the Word of God.

Don’t think you’re an ordinary person or like your next-door neighbour who isn’t born again just because you have a similar physical body. No; you’re a partaker of the divine nature. You’re in God’s class of being; it was His work; He determined for it to be so. It’s what Jesus came to do: He came to give us eternal life and make fellowship?oneness with God?possible, and He accomplished it. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I’m a partaker of the divine nature; an associate of the God-kind. My spirit has been imparted with eternal life?the God-type of life! Therefore, I live in the realm of incorruptibility, immortality, everlasting joy, peace and glory; reigning and ruling over Satan, his demons and the elements of this world. Amen.

진리 안에서 걷고 머무십시오

Walk And Stay In Truth

“미혹하는 자가 세상에 많이 나왔나니 이는 예수 그리스도께서 육체로 오심을 부인하는 자라 이런 자가 미혹하는 자요 적그리스도니”(요이 1:7)

하나님의 말씀은 진리입니다. 당신은 말씀을 알면서 잘못된 음성에 속거나 따라갈 수 없습니다. 요한일서 4:1은 말합니다. “사랑하는 자들아 영을 다 믿지 말고 오직 영들이 하나님께 속하였나 분별하라 많은 거짓 선지자가 세상에 나왔음이라.” 당신이 하나님의 말씀을 알고 있을 때, 당신의 영 안에는 빛이 있으므로 당신은 거짓 선지자나 거짓 교사, 거짓 형제들에 속아 넘어가지 않습니다.

많은 사람들이 쉽게 속아 넘어가는 방법 중 하나는 잘못된 관계를 통해서 입니다. 만약 당신이 그리스도인으로서 당신의 “아이온(aion, 당신의 삶의 경로)”에 있어서는 안 되는 특정한 사람들, 곧 말씀의 진리와 가르침에 어긋나는 교리나 훈련을 받은 자들과 어울리고 있다면, 당신은 확실히 잘못된 방향으로 가고 있습니다.

시간이 지나면서 그런 사람들이 당신의 조언자가 될 수 있으며, 그러면 머지않아 당신의 언어가 바뀔 것입니다. 이것은 어떻게 많은 사람들이 미혹의 영에 동기부여 되고 영감을 받아 오류에 빠지게 되는지 설명해줍니다. 성경은 말합니다. “우리는 하나님께 속하였으니 하나님을 아는 자는 우리의 말을 듣고 하나님께 속하지 아니한 자는 우리의 말을 듣지 아니하나니 진리의 영과 미혹의 영을 이로써 아느니라”(요일 4:6). 진리 안에 거하십시오!

WALK AND STAY IN TRUTH

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.

This is a deceiver and an antichrist (2 John 1:7).

The Word of God is truth; you can’t know the Word and be deceived or follow the wrong voice. 1 John 4:1 says, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:

because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” Always, there’s a light in your spirit when you know the Word of God such that you’re not misled by false prophets, false teachers, and false brethren.

One of the ways that many are easily misled is through wrong associations. If as a Christian, you start associating with certain individuals who aren’t supposed to be in your “aion” (your course of life)? individuals who have a doctrine or training that’s inconsistent with the teaching and truth of the Word? you’re definitely in a wrong direction.

With time, such people could become your advisers, and before long, your language will change.

This is how many are motivated or inspired by the spirit of error, and they go into error. The Bible says,

“We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us;

he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error” (1 John 4:6). Stay in the truth!

The Apostle John was so concerned about God’s people knowing and walking in truth. In 2 John 1:1, he said, “The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth.” God wants you walking in the truth because as read in our theme verse, many deceivers are in the world who don’t confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. They acknowledge neither the incarnation nor the resurrection of Christ.

To confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh means making confession to this truth, living a life that’s worthy of this truth, giving glory to God. So, in these last days, walk in truth. John says, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (3 John 1:4).

PRAYER

Thank you precious Holy Spirit, for teaching me the Word and causing me to walk and stay in truth. I’ll never be deceived, because God’s Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path; that Word is in me, strong, transforming my life and impacting those around me with the righteousness of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Sacrifices Of Praise

역대하 5장에서, 성경은 우리에게 솔로몬의 성전을 하나님께 바치는 진귀한 순간을 보여줍니다. 노래하는 자들이 제금과 현악기를 들고 감사하며 주님께 찬양을 올려드렸습니다. 성경은 모든 제사장이 나왔다고 말합니다. “노래하는 레위 사람 아삽과 헤만과 여두둔과 그의 아들들과 형제들이 다 세마포를 입고 제단 동쪽에 서서 제금과 비파와 수금을 잡고 또 나팔 부는 제사장 백이십 명이 함께 서 있다가”(대하 5:12).

SACRIFICES OF PRAISE

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name (Hebrews 13:15).

In 2 Chronicles 5, the Bible shows us an extraordinary moment at the dedication of Solomon’s Temple. The singers were with clashing cymbals and strings, giving thanks and offering praises to the Lord. The Bible says all the priests came together,

“Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets)” (2 Chronicles 5:12). They were all rejoicing before the Lord.

The 13 th verse says they “…lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever….” These are spiritual sacrifices! They did exactly what God wanted.

The killing of the animals during the ceremony didn’t bring the glory. But as they offered spiritual sacrifices to God, the Bible says, “…then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD” (2 Chronicles 5:13).

In 2 Chronicles 20, the Bible tells us how Judah had been surrounded by enemies. Then Jehoshaphat did something. The Bible says, “…when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever” (2 Chronicles 20:21). The battle was led by singers. And what happened to their enemies?

The Bible says “…they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped” (2 Chronicles 20:24).

Hallelujah! When you face difficulties and adversities, praise the Lord in the beauty of holiness; bless His Name and affirm that His mercy endures forever. In the midst of that seeming hardship, declare that His faithfulness is unto all generations. This is your office as a priest unto Christ; you’re to offer sacrifices of worship and praise to God always: “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name”

(Hebrews 13:15).

CONFESSION

Lord, I worship you for your greatness; your mercy endures forever. You’re good; you’re kind; you’re just; you’re righteous. You’re exalted above all, and there’s none like you. All the dominion, power and glory belong to you. You’re the greatest; your Name is above all; you reign in heaven and in all the earth!

그리스도인으로서 우리가 하나님의 크나큰 은혜를 받았다는 사실은 의심의 여지가 없습니다. 하나님은 우리에게 그분의 은혜를 넘치도록 부으셨습니다. 그렇다면 우리의 질문은, 우리가 그 은혜를 가지고 얼마나 멀리 갈 수 있는가입니다. 이 은혜를 얼마나 더 누릴 수 있습니까? 오늘의 본문 구절은 우리에게 “그리스도 예수 안에 있는 은혜 가운데서 강하고”라고 권고합니다.

하나님의 은혜 가운데서 강하다는 것은 그분의 은혜의 충만함 가운데 걷는 것입니다. 사도행전 3장에서 성경은 어떻게 우리가 하나님의 은혜를 사용하여 초자연적인 결과를 낼 수 있는지에 대한 완벽한 예시를 보여줍니다. 베드로와 요한은 기도 시간에 맞추어 성전 안으로 들어가고 있었습니다. 그들은 날 때부터 절름발이였던 한 남자를 보게 됩니다. 성경은 그 남자가 “베드로와 요한이 성전에 들어가려 함을 보고 구걸”하였다고 말합니다(행 3:3).

이것이 바로 삶에서 당신이 해야 하는 일입니다. 일상생활 가운데 간단한 문제에서도 하나님의 은혜를 찾고 누리십시오. 하나님의 은혜를 사용하십시오. 당신의 삶과 사역, 직장, 가족, 사업 혹은 학업에서 당신이 갈망하는 긍정적인 결과를 얻기 위해 하나님의 은혜에 의지하십시오.

은혜는 승진시킵니다. 은혜는 들어 올립니다. 은혜는 성령을 통하여 그리고 성령 안에서, 당신이 현재 있는 곳으로부터 다음 단계의 더 높은 곳으로 옮깁니다. 사도 바울이 궁지에 몰렸을 때 하나님께서 그에게 하신 말씀을 기억하십시오. “내 은혜가 네게 족하도다”(고후 12:9). 다른 말로 하면, 당신에게 필요한 것은 바로 은혜입니다! 하나님의 은혜가 당신이 하나님의 부르심과 인생의 목적을 성취하도록 도울 것을 신뢰하십시오.

고백

호의와 번영과 건강과 초자연적인 증가와 자유를 가져다주는 하나님의 은혜가 내 안에서 강하게 역사하고 있습니다. 나는 오늘 그 은혜가 나를 이기도록 돕고 초자연적인 기록을 세우도록 도울 것을 신뢰합니다. 내가 하나님의 목적을 이루고 그분의 뜻을 행할 때, 신성한 영향력은 내 삶에서 분명하게 바깥으로 드러납니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

TRUST THE GRACE OF GOD

Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2:1).

There’s no doubt that as Christians, we’re mightily graced of God; He’s lavished His grace upon us in superabundance. An important question to therefore ask would be, how far can we go with this grace? How much more can we explore this grace? Our theme verse admonishes us to “be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”

To be strong in the grace of God is to walk in the fullness of His grace. In Acts 3, the Bible gives us a perfect example of how we can use the grace of God and produce supernatural results. Peter and John were going into the temple at the time of prayer, and they found a man who was crippled from birth. The Bible says the beggar, “Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms” (Acts 3:3).

Peter knew this was an opportunity to put the grace of God to work. So, he said to the man, “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee:

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). But the man didn’t quite get up. Then Peter yanked him up, and immediately, his ankle bones received strength, and the man was healed. Blessed be God! He placed a demand on the grace of God, and it worked!

This is what you’ve got to do in your life. Explore the grace of God in your everyday affairs, in simple matters; use it. Depend on it for the results you expect, the positive outcomes you desire in your life, ministry, work, family, business or academics.

Grace promotes. Grace lifts; it’ll take you from where you are right now to your next and higher place in and with the Spirit. Remember what He said to the Apostle Paul when he (Paul) was in a predicament:

“…My grace is sufficient for thee…” (2 Corinthians 12:9); in other words, that’s what you need! Trust the grace of God to help you accomplish God’s call and purpose for your life.

CONFESSION

The grace of God that brings favour, prosperity, health, supernatural increase and liberality is at work in me, so strong. I trust that grace to help me win and set supernatural records today. As I fulfil God’s purpose and do His will, that outward reflection of a divine influence is evident in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Mirroring Yourself In The Word

오늘의 본문 구절에 나온 “거울”이라는 단어는 그리스어로 “카톱트리조마이(katoptrizomai)”이며, ‘자신을 비추어보다’라는 뜻입니다. NIV 성경에서는 이렇게 말합니다. “우리가 다 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 주님의 영광을 모두 비추면, 점점 증가하는 영광으로 그분과 같은 형상으로 변모되니, 이는 성령이신 주님에게서 나오는 것이라.” 이는 하나님의 거울, 곧 하나님의 말씀에 대해 이야기하고 있습니다.

MIRRORING YOURSELF IN THE WORD

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18).

The term “glass” in the scripture above is the Greek “katoptrizomai,” and it means to mirror oneself. The New International Version says, “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with everincreasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” It’s talking about the mirror of God, which is the Word of God.

As you study and meditate on the Word, you’re mirroring yourself! What you see in the mirror is the glory of God. Through meditation, the Word takes root in your spirit and becomes one with your spirit; it creates a picture in your mind: the image of God’s glory.

For example, you may have thought you were a dirty sinner, but then you looked in the mirror of God and saw that you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; you’ve been declared not guilty; divinely acquitted! Blessed be God! This should completely change your perception and cause you to become immediately righteousness-conscious, and walk henceforth in righteousness.

Perhaps you were told you wouldn’t amount to anything in life; you’re a poor, wretched nobody.

But the Word?the mirror of God?shows otherwise.

It shows you belong in a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people? handpicked by God to display His manifold wisdom and express the virtues and perfections of divinity (1 Peter 2:9). This is the truth about your personality that you must accept and endorse. Hallelujah!

Maybe for several nights, Satan has been oppressing you in your sleep, and you thought you needed “deliverance.” But you look in the mirror and see, “Giving thanks unto the Father…Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son”

(Colossians 1:12-13). Immediately, that truth should get a hold of your spirit and you begin to exercise dominion over Satan and the forces of darkness.

There’s so much that happens to, and in your spirit as you meditate on the Word; you’re transformed to become what you see. Hold on to the picture, the image of you that’s projected by the Word; that’s the reality you must keep affirming, regardless of circumstances.

CONFESSION

I’m perfected in Christ, and I’m the glory of God; I can do all things through Christ and no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper. I’m eternally triumphant and can never be disadvantaged. Therefore, I fix my gaze on the Word and accept only the image and reflection of me that it projects. Blessed be God!

당신 주변의 사람들이 바르게 살고 있지 못한 이유 중 하나는 당신의 빛이 충분히 밝지 않기 때문일 수 있습니다. 어떤 그리스도인들은 자신들이 영적이라고 생각하면서 다른 그리스도인들의 삶의 방식을 비난할지도 모릅니다. 그러나 그것은 사실 육신적인 것을 표현하는 것입니다. 어떤 이들의 실수 때문에 그들을 무시하지 마십시오. 예수님은 그들의 실수에 대한 값도 이미 지불하셨습니다. 예수님은 우리의 모든 잘못에 대한 책임을 지셨습니다. 오직 그분 한 분만 판단할 권리가 있으십니다. 그럼에도 그분은 우리를 정죄하지 않으십니다.

성경은 말합니다. “그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 자에게는 결코 정죄함이 없나니”(롬 8:1). 육신의 생각을 하는 자들은 다른 사람들의 잘못만을 봅니다. 그들이 실제로 실수를 했거나 계속해서 실수를 하고 있을 수도 있지만, 그들의 심령이 하나님과 일치되어서 그들이 잘못을 깨닫고 교정되며 속히 회개할 수도 있습니다.

이에 관한 좋은 예시는 다윗입니다. 그는 잘못된 행동을 하였으나 진정으로 회개하고 주님의 용서를 구하고 받았습니다(삼하 12:1-13 참고). 그러나 사울은 그렇게 하지 않았습니다. 사울은 그가 잘못한 일에 대해 책망을 받았을 때 자신을 변호하였고, 하나님은 그에게 화가 나셨습니다(삼상 15장 참고).

지역교회는 “완벽한” 사람들을 위한 곳이 아니라, 사람들을 “온전하게” 하는 곳입니다. 지금 모습 그대로 교회로 오십시오. 그러면 하나님의 말씀이 당신을 깨끗이 씻어낼 것입니다. 말씀이 당신을 온전하게 할 것입니다. 에베소서 4:11-12에 나열된 오중 사역의 은사는 사역의 일을 위하여 성도들을 온전하게 하며, 그리스도의 몸을 세우기 위해 주어졌습니다.

교회 안에서 우리는 사람들이 어떤 잘못된 행동을 할 때 그것이 잘못되었음을 알 수 있습니다. 그러나 예수님처럼 그들을 판단하지 마십시오. 이것이 바로 우리가 하나님의 말씀을 나누는 이유입니다(딤후 3:16-17 참고). 하나님의 말씀은 어떤 이도 교정하고, 그의 방향을 재설정할 수 있는 능력이 있습니다. 그러므로 그들을 비난하지 말고, 복음을 나누십시오.

고백

성령으로 말미암아 하나님의 사랑이 내 마음에 부어졌고, 그분으로 인해 나는 내 주변의 모든 사람을 다정함과 긍휼과 은혜로 대합니다. 나는 사람들의 최고를 봅니다. 성령으로 말미암아 나는 그리스도의 은혜와 영광으로 사람들에게 영향력을 미칠 수 있습니다. 나의 빛은 밝게 빛나며, 내 안에서 나를 통하여 드러나는 하나님의 의 가운데로 사람들을 이끕니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

DON’T CONDEMN OTHERS

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

In your life, don’t be too quick to find fault with others. Don’t give in to the urge to condemn.

The Bible says the Lord Jesus has been “…ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead” (Acts 10:42 NKJV). He alone is the true Judge, and He’s rich in mercy. There may be some people around you, perhaps, even in your local church that may not be living right; don’t judge them. Instead, be the light that wins them over. That’s what Jesus said in our theme verse.

One of the reasons people may not be living right where you are may be that your light isn’t shining brightly enough. When a Christian condemns other Christians about their way of life, he may think he’s being spiritual when it’s actually an expression of carnality. Don’t write anyone off because of their errors; Jesus also paid the price for their mistakes. He took responsibility for all our wrongs. He alone has the right to judge; yet, He doesn’t condemn us.

The Bible says “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” (Romans 8:1). People who are carnally minded only see the wrong in other people. Those people may have actually made mistakes, or are making mistakes, but their hearts may be right with God such that when they realize their error and are corrected, they’d quickly repent. A good example is David; he did something that was wrong, but he was truly repentant and sought and received the Lord’s forgiveness (Read 2 Samuel 12:1-13). But that wasn’t the case with Saul. When Saul was rebuked for what he did wrong, he defended himself, and God was angry with him (Read 1 Samuel 15).

The local church isn’t for “perfect” people, but for perfecting people. Come as you are, and the Word of God will wash you clean; the Word will perfect you.

The five-fold ministry gifts listed in Ephesians 4:11-12 are for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ.

In the Church, we can recognize when people do something that’s wrong; yet, like Jesus, don’t judge them. That’s why we share the Word of God (Read 2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Word of God has the ability to correct any man, and help them redirect their steps.

Share the Gospel; don’t condemn others.

CONFESSION

The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit by whom I relate with everyone around me with lovingkindness, compassion and grace. I see the best in people, and by the Spirit, I’m able to impact them with the grace and glory of Christ;

my light shines so brightly and draws men to the righteousness of God expressed in and through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

순종의 힘

The Power Of Obedience

“사람의 모양으로 나타나사 자기를 낮추시고 죽기까지 복종하셨으니 곧 십자가에 죽으심이라”(빌 2:8)

하나님은 그분만의 체계와 시스템을 가지고 계시며 원리에 따라 운영하십니다. 그러나 어디에나 항상 자신들의 방식대로 행하려고 하는 사람들이 있습니다. 성경은 사람이 보기에는 바른길 같아 보이나, 마침내는 죽음에 이르는 길이 있다고 말합니다(잠 14:12). 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 그분의 길을 따르는 것은 가치가 있습니다. 절대로 불순종하지 마십시오.

예를 들어, 성경은 우리에게 아담의 불순종의 결과를 말해줍니다. “사망이 왕 노릇 하였은즉…”(롬 5:17) 확대번역본은 이렇게 표현했습니다. “한 사람의 잘못(실수, 범죄) 때문에 죽음이 그 한 사람을 통하여 다스렸으며…”(AMPC) 그 이후, 한 사람의 불순종이 모든 사람을 정죄에 이르게 했던 것처럼, 그리스도의 의의 행동이 모든 사람을 영생과 신성한 무죄선언으로 이끌었습니다. 둘째 아담이자 마지막 아담이신 예수님은 순종함으로 이를 해냈습니다.

오늘의 본문 구절을 통해 우리는 또한 그분이 “사람의 모양으로 나타나사 자기를 낮추시고 죽기까지 복종하셨으니 곧 십자가에 죽으심”을 보았습니다. 예수님 그분 자신이 곧 하나님이셨다는 것을 기억하십시오. 그러나 그 어떤 것도 그분이 아버지께 반대하도록 만들 수 없었습니다. 그분은 죽기까지 곧 십자가에 달려서 죽기까지 순종하셨습니다. 하나님은 예수님의 순종에 응답하실 수밖에 없었습니다. “이러므로 하나님이 그를 지극히 높여 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주사”(빌 2:9). 예수님은 그분이 순종하셨기에 받을 수 있는 최고의 칭호(title)를 받았습니다. 하나님께 영광 돌립니다!

순종은 영적인 영역에서 위대한 축복입니다. 거듭난 당신은 순종하는 영을 가지고 있습니다. 성경은 우리를 순종하는 자녀라고 말합니다(벧전 1:14). 그러므로 하나님의 말씀의 빛 안에서 걸으며, 영적인 지시들에 완전히 내어지는 것은 당신에게 너무나 자연스러운 일입니다.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나의 삶은 당신께 구별되었습니다. 나를 향한 당신의 사랑과 내 삶에 있는 당신의 영광을 감사드립니다! 오늘 그리고 언제나 나는 당신을 영화롭게 하고, 온 마음으로 헌신하여 당신을 섬기며, 당신의 말씀을 지키고, 나의 삶을 향한 당신의 목적을 이루며 의의 일들을 합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE POWER OF OBEDIENCE

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8).

God has His structures and systems, and operates by principles, but there’re those who always choose their own way. The Bible says there’s a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (Proverbs 14:12). It pays to listen to God and follow His ways. Never walk in disobedience.

For example, as a result of Adam’s disobedience, the Bible tells us “Death ruled like a king …” (Romans 5:17 CEV). The Amplified Classic translation puts it this way: “…because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one….” Well then, as one man’s disobedience led to condemnation for all men, so also did Christ’s act of righteousness lead to eternal life and divine acquittal of all men. Jesus, the second and last Adam, did this by obedience.

We also read in our opening verse that He “…

being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Remember that Jesus is Himself God, but nothing was going to make Him rebellious against the Father. He was going to be obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross. God had to respond to the obedience of Jesus: “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name” (Philippians 2:9). He was given the highest title that could be conferred, because of His obedience. Glory to God!

Obedience is a great blessing in the realm of the Spirit. Being born again, you have an obedient spirit;

the Bible calls us obedient children (1 Peter 1:14). So, it’s natural for you to walk in the light of God’s Word, and be completely yielded to spiritual instructions.

PRAYER

My life is consecrated to you, dear Father; thank you for your love for me, and for your glory in my life!

Today and always, I live to glorify you, serving you with whole-hearted devotion, keeping your Word, fulfilling your purpose for my life, and producing works of righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
