순종에 담긴 교훈
A Lesson In Obedience
“사람의 모양으로 나타나사 자기를 낮추시고 죽기까지 복종하셨으니 곧 십자가에 죽으심이라”(빌 2:8)
누가복음 3:38에 나와있는 아담의 족보를 공부해보면 아담이 하나님의 아들이라 칭함을 받았음을 알 수 있습니다. 만약 첫번째 아담도 하나님의 아들이고, 두번째 아담인 예수 그리스도께서도 하나님의 아들이셨다면 이 두 하나님의 아들의 차이점은 무엇이겠습니까?
이 질문의 답은 예수님께서 마태복음 21: 28-31에서 말씀하신 두 아들의 비유에 나와 있습니다. 그들의 아버지는 아들들에게 포도원에 일하러 가라고 말했습니다. 첫째 아들은 아버지에게 가겠다고 확실히 약속했지만 가지 않았습니다. 그는 순종하지 않은 것입니다. 둘째 아들은 아버지에게 가지 않겠다고 말했지만 결국 갔습니다. 예수님은 이 말씀을 하시고는 물으셨습니다. “두 아들 중 누가 아버지에게 순종했는가?”
당연히 아버지께 순종한 아들은 아버지의 뜻을 실제로 행한 아들입니다. 비록 처음에는 그렇게 하기를 원하지 않았지만 말입니다. 보십시오. 겟세마네 동산에서 예수님은 체포되어 십자가에 못 박히기 전 마지막 순간에 아버지께 간절히 기도하셨습니다. “이르시되 아버지여 만일 아버지의 뜻이거든 이 잔을 내게서 옮기시옵소서 그러나 내 원대로 마시옵고 아버지의 원대로 되기를 원하나이다 하시니”(눅 22:42).
예수님은 원하지 않으셨지만, 결국 해내셨습니다! 그러므로 오늘 본문구절은 예수님을 이렇게 말합니다. “그가 사람의 모양으로 나타나셨으매 자기를 낮추시고 죽기까지 복종하셨으니 곧 십자가에 죽으심이라.” 하나님께서 예수님을 높이신 것은 그분이 죽기까지 순종하셨기 때문입니다. 그러나 첫번째 아담은 그의 불순종 때문에 실패했습니다.
성경은 말합니다. “한 사람이 순종하지 아니함으로 많은 사람이 죄인 된 것 같이 한 사람이 순종하심으로 많은 사람이 의인이 되리라”(롬 5:19). 첫번째 아담이 순종했다면, 두번째 아담이 필요하지 않았을 것입니다. 그러므로 첫번째 아담과 두번째 아담의 차이는 순종이었습니다.
순종은 매우 중요합니다. 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 그분의 길을 따르는 것은 중요합니다. 우리는 거듭남으로써 두번째 아담이신 예수 그리스도의 본성으로 태어났고 그분의 순종하는 영을 가지고 있습니다. 베드로전서 1:14는 우리를 그분의 순종하는 자녀들이라 부릅니다. 그러므로 당신 안에 있는 그리스도의 본성을 따라 걸으며 항상 아버지를 기쁘시게 하십시오.

사랑하는 아버지, 당신의 지혜가 담긴 영적인 가르침을 받을 수 있는 특권을 주셔서 감사합니다. 당신의 영은 지속적으로 나를 인도하셔서 내가 당신의 방식으로 행하도록 내 심령에 영적 지침들을 주시고 내 귀에 가장 확실하게 전진하는 보장된 방법인 지식의 말씀들을 들려주십니다. 당신의 말씀에 순종할 때 나는 성공과 승리와 탁월함과 영광 가운데 걷습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A Lesson In Obedience
“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross”(Philippians 2:8).
In Luke 3:38, when you study the genealogy of Adam, he was called the son of God. So, if the first Adam was the son of God and the second Adam, Jesus Christ, is the Son of God, what’s the difference between the two sons of God?
The answer is in the parable that Jesus gave in Matthew 21:28-31 of two sons: Their father told the sons to go work in his vineyard. The first son assured his father that he’d go, but he didn’t; he disobeyed. The second son told his father he wouldn’t go, but he went. Jesus then asked, “Which of the two sons obeyed his father?”
Clearly, the obedient one is the one who actually did his father’s will, though initially refusing to do so. Now, in the Garden of Gethsemane, in the final moments before Jesus was arrested to be crucified, He prayed earnestly to the Father, “Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done” (Luke 22:42).
Jesus didn’t want to do it, but He did anyway! So, our theme verse says of Jesus, “And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Jesus’ exaltation came because He was obedient unto death. But the failure of the first Adam was his disobedience.
The Bible says, “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous” (Romans 5:19). Had the first Adam obeyed, the second Adam wouldn’t have been necessary. So, the difference between the first Adam and the second Adam was obedience.
Obedience is very important; it pays to listen to God and follow His ways. Being born again, we’re born in the nature of the second Adam, Jesus Christ, and we have His obedient Spirit. Hence, in 1 Peter 1:14, we’re called His obedient children. Walk therefore in this nature of Christ in you and please the Father always.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of receiving spiritual instructions, which convey your wisdom. Continually, your Spirit guides me to apply my heart to spiritual instructions—doing things your way—and my ears to words of knowledge which is the surest measure for guaranteed progress in life. As I demonstrate obedience to your Word, I walk in success, victory, excellence and glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
