Yield Your Ambitions To Divine Guidance

“여호와의 말씀이니라 너희를 향한 나의 생각을 내가 아나니 평안이요 재앙이 아니니라 너희에게 미래와 희망을 주는 것이니라”(렘 29:11)

성경은 하나님께서 어떻게 모세를 이스라엘의 구원자로 선택하셨는지를 알려줍니다. 그러나 모세의 야망은 그의 뜻대로 이루어졌고, 그는 스스로 문제를 해결했습니다. 모세는 출애굽기 2:11-12에서 한 이집트인이 히브리인을 학대하는 것을 목격했습니다. 분노한 모세는 그 이집트인을 죽이고 시체를 숨기려고 했습니다.

다음 날, 모세가 두 히브리인의 싸움에 개입하려 했을 때, 그들 중 한 사람은 모세의 권위에 의문을 제기하며 모세에게 이집트인을 죽인 것처럼 자신도 죽일 것인지 물었습니다. 모세는 이집트인을 죽은 자신의 행동이 결국 드러난 것을 두려워하며 미디안 땅으로 도망쳤습니다.

누가가 사도행전 7장에서 말한 산헤드린을 향한 스데반의 연설을 읽어보면, 그가 모세의 형제들이 그를 하나님이 택하신 구원자로 인정했을 것이라는 모세의 가정을 강조하고 있습니다. 사도행전 7:25은 말합니다. “그는 그의 형제들이 하나님께서 자기의 손을 통하여 구원해 주시는 것을 깨달으리라고 생각하였으나 그들이 깨닫지 못하였더라”

모세의 열심이 하나님의 계획된 과정을 흐리게 하고 무색하게 만들었습니다. 당시 모세는 자신의 야망을 하나님의 신성한 인도에 내어드리지 않았습니다. 그는 하나님께 구원자로 선택되었지만, 자신의 방식대로 해내려고 했습니다. 많은 사람들이 이런 실수를 합니다.

당신의 삶에서 자신의 야망을 하나님의 신성한 인도에 내어드리는 법을 배우십시오. 그분의 계획, 신성한 청사진을 따르십시오. 그분은 당신보다 더 당신의 성공에 대해 열정적이십니다. 저는 사역을 시작하면서 이 진리를 발견했고, 이 진리는 제 삶을 변화시켰습니다. 하나님의 꿈을 추구하고 그분의 방식으로 행하는 법을 배우십시오. 그러면 스트레스와 고군분투는 사라질 것입니다.

후에 모세가 성막을 지을 때, 하나님께서 그에게 주신 권면을 기억하십시오. “… 삼가 모든 것을 산에서 네게 보이던 본을 따라 지으라 하셨느니라”(히 8:5) 그분이 지시하신 대로 한다면, 당신은 어떤 것을 위해 싸울 필요가 없습니다. 당신은 수월하게 성공할 것입니다. 당신은 영광에서 영광으로 나아갈 것입니다. 주님의 인도를 따르고 그분의 방식대로 행한다면 모든 것은 놀라울 정도로 쉬워집니다.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 내 야망을 당신의 신성한 인도에 내어드립니다. 내 삶의 모든 순간을 복음을 위해 귀하게 여기겠습니다. 나는 주님을 기쁘시게 하고 주님의 완전한 뜻 가운데 행하는 것에서 나의 기쁨을 찾습니다. 나보다 더 나의 성공에 관심을 가지시니 감사합니다. 이는 주님의 변함없는 사랑과 넘치는 은혜를 나타냅니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

YIELD YOUR AMBITIONS TO DIVINE GUIDANCE

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11).

The Bible tells us how God chose Moses to be Israel’s deliverer. However, his ambition got the better of him and he took matters into his own hands. In Exodus 2:11-22, Moses witnessed an Egyptian mistreating a Hebrew. In anger, Moses killed the Egyptian and tried to hide the body.

The next day, when Moses tried to intervene in a scuffle between two Hebrews, one of them questioned his authority and asked if Moses was going to kill him as he killed the Egyptian. Afraid that his action of killing the Egyptian wasn’t a secret after all, Moses fled to the land of Midian.

In Stephen’s address to the Sanhedrin, as recounted by Luke in Acts 7, he underscores Moses’ assumption that his brethren would have recognized him as God’s chosen deliverer. Acts 7:25 MSG says, “He thought his brothers would be glad that he was on their side, and even see him as an instrument of God to deliver them. But they didn’t see it that way.”

Moses allowed his zeal to becloud and overshadow God’s intended process. At the time, he didn’t surrender his ambition to divine guidance. He was chosen by God to be the deliverer alright, but he tried to work things out his own way. It’s a mistake a lot of people make.

In your life, learn to surrender your ambitions to His divine guidance. Follow God’s plan, the divine blueprint. He’s more passionate about your success than you could ever be. I discovered this early as I started out in ministry and it changed my life. Learn to pursue His dream and do things His way; it’ll take away the stress and the struggle.

Remember the admonition that God gave to Moses later when he was to build the Tabernacle; He said, “…See…that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount” (Hebrews 8:5). When you follow His prescribed order, you won’t have to fight for anything; success will be effortless. You’d keep gliding from glory to glory. Things are remarkably easy when you follow the Lord’s guidance and do things His way.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I surrender my ambitions to your divine guidance, and I make every moment of my life count for the Gospel. I find joy in pleasing you and walking in your perfect will. Thank you for being more interested in my success than I could ever be, a reflection of your unflinching love and overflowing grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Rely On His Guidance

“너는 마음을 다하여 여호와를 신뢰하고 네 명철을 의지하지 말라 너는 범사에 그를 인정하라 그리하면 네 길을 지도하시리라”(잠 3:5-6)

우리는 일반적인 사고회로, 추측, 때때로 우리를 실망시키는 전문가들의 지식이 말하는 것보다 더 큰 존재들입니다.

이 세상은 여러 시대에 걸쳐 다양한 직업군과 지식분야 및 산업을 통틀어 수많은 실패와 실망을 목격했습니다. 이 사실은 아주 명백한 현실을 보여줍니다. 성공하는 삶을 사는데 있어 사람의 지혜만을 의지할 수는 없다는 점입니다. 우리는 이러한 이해를 가지고 감사하며 성령님의 인도와 이끄심을 의지해야 합니다. 예수님의 말씀을 기억하십시오. “…내가 세상 끝 날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라.” 예수님은 이를 성령님의 임재와 능력으로 가능하게 만드셨습니다.

요한복음 16:13에 등장하는 예수님의 말씀을 떠올려 보십시오. “그러나 진리의 성령이 오시면 그가 너희를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시리니 그가 스스로 말하지 않고 오직 들은 것을 말하며 장래 일을 너희에게 알리시리라.” 놀랍지 않습니까? 성령님은 확실하고 신뢰할 수 있는 우리의 안내자이십니다.

그분과 함께 라면 당신은 어둠 속에서 무엇을 해야 할지, 어디로 가야 할지 추측하거나, 당신의 인생에서 무슨 일을 해야 할지, 어떤 선택을 해야 할지 고민하지 않을 것입니다. 성령님이 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시기 때문입니다. 또한 성령님은 당신에게 미래를 보여주실 것입니다. 우리는 추측하거나 향방 없이 소망하도록 내버려둔 존재가 아닙니다. 우리의 소망은 한 방향을 집중하여 가리키고 있습니다. 성령님이 미래를 보여주시기 때문입니다.

정말 놀라운 것은 성령님이 우리에게 그분의 온전한 뜻과 일치하지 않는 미래를 드러내시며 동시에 그 미래를 변화시키는 능력 또한 주신다는 사실입니다. 우리는 자신의 운명을 지어갈 능력이 있습니다. 어떤 사람들은 이해하기 어렵다고 생각하지만, 이것은 말씀에 드러나 있는 진리입니다.

그러므로 당신의 믿음이 하나님의 거룩한 말씀에 있게 하십시오. 모든 일에 있어 인도와 방향을 구하며 항상 성령님을 의지하고 기대십시오. 하나님을 송축합니다.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시는 성령님께 감사드립니다. 성령님은 놀랍고, 아름답고, 영광스러운 왕국의 실재를 알려주시며 이를 누리는 방법을 보여주십니다. 나는 모든 일에 있어 인도와 방향을 구하며 항상 성령님을 의지합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

RELY ON HIS GUIDANCE 

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

There’s more to our existence than the ordinary thinking process we engage in, the guesswork, and even the dependence on so-called experts who often disappoint us. 

The world has witnessed countless disappointments throughout the ages in various professions, fields of knowledge, and industries. It amplifies an obvious reality: you cannot rely solely on human wisdom to live a successful life. It’s with this understanding that we must appreciate and depend on the guidance and leadership of the Holy Spirit. Remember Jesus said, “…I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” This He makes possible through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

Consider the words of Jesus in John 6:13: “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come” (John 16:13). Isn’t that wonderful? The Holy Spirit is our sure and dependable guide. 

With Him, you’re not going to be left groping in the dark, speculating about what to do or where to go, wondering what to do in life, what choices to make, for He will guide you into all truth. He also reveals the future to you. We’re not left to guess and hope without direction. Our hope is focused and well-directed because the Holy Spirit shows us the future. 

Something absolutely remarkable is the fact that He empowers us to change the future that He reveals to us that’s not consistent with His perfect will. We have the ability to shape our own destinies. Some may find this hard to fathom, but it’s the truth revealed in the Word. 

So let your faith be in God’s holy Word, and be ever-reliant and dependent on the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction in and for all things. Blessed be God.

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I thank you for the blessed Holy Spirit, who leads me into all truth, showing me the amazing, beautiful and glorious realities of the Kingdom and how to enjoy them. I’m ever-reliant and dependent on Him for guidance and direction in and for all things, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

His Name, The Word, And The Spirit

“그가 내게 대답하여 이르되 여호와께서 스룹바벨에게 하신 말씀이 이러하니라 만군의 여호와께서 말씀하시되 이는 힘으로 되지 아니하며 능력으로 되지 아니하고 오직 나의 영으로 되느니라”(슥 4:6)

골로새서 3:17은 말합니다. “또 무엇을 하든지 말에나 일에나 다 주 예수의 이름으로 하고 그를 힘입어 하나님 아버지께 감사하라.” 요한복음 1:3은 다른 성경구절을 인용하며 말합니다. “만물이 그로 말미암아 지은 바 되었으니 지은 것이 하나도 그가 없이는 된 것이 없느니라.” 그런 다음 에베소서 5:18에서 바울은 성령으로 말미암아 말합니다. “술 취하지 말라 이는 방탕한 것이니 오직 성령으로 충만함을 받으라…” 할렐루야!

성경을 공부하다 보면 모든 성경이 이 세 가지, 즉 예수 이름, 말씀, 성령님에 관한 것임을 알게 됩니다. 사도들은 예수 이름 안에서, 하나님의 말씀으로, 성령의 능력으로 사역했습니다. 이것이 바로 사도들이 놀라운 결과를 맺은 이유입니다. 오늘날에도 마찬가지입니다. 우리는 예수 이름으로 모든 일을 하고, 하나님의 말씀과 성령의 능력 안에서 살아갑니다.

예수 이름은 결코 실패하지 않습니다. 모든 일을 예수 이름으로 한다는 것은 그분의 이름의 권능, 영광, 다스림을 인식하며 날마다 산다는 뜻입니다.

어떤 사람들은 자신의 힘과 타고난 지혜로 성공하기 위해 열심히 노력하지만, 그럼에도 진정한 성공은 그들을 비켜갑니다. 그들이 말씀에 따라 행동하지 않기 때문입니다. 그들은 말씀을 살아내지 않습니다. 그들은 극도로 제한된 생각, 즉 감각의 영역에서 기능합니다. 하지만 참되고 영원히 남는 성공은 하나님의 말씀을 묵상한 결과입니다(수 1:8).

마지막은 성령의 능력입니다. 만약 당신이 자신의 힘이나 능력으로 성공하려고 노력했다면, 이제는 그 고군분투를 멈추고 성령님의 전략과 지혜가 당신을 인도하도록 의지할 때입니다. 우리의 경쟁력, 즉 우리가 기능하는 능력, 지혜, 은혜는 바로 성령에 있습니다(고후 3:5). 성령님을 신뢰하십시오. 성령님이 바로 기쁨과 찬양, 끝없는 승리, 특별한 성공의 삶을 살 수 있는 열쇠입니다.

기도

사랑하는 하늘 아버지, 내 삶에 내주하시는 성령님께 감사드립니다. 성령님은 나를 효과적이고 생산적으로 만드시며, 당신의 온전한 뜻 안에서 걷게 하십니다. 나는 계속해서 성령으로 충만합니다. 나는 이 충만함 가운데 효과적으로 복음을 전달하고 당신의 신성한 임재로 내 세상에 영향을 끼칩니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HIS NAME, THE WORD, AND THE SPIRIT 

“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).

Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Then John 1:3, referring to the Word, says, “All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.” Then we come to Ephesians 5:18; Paul, by the Spirit tells us, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit….” Hallelujah!  

As you study the Scriptures, you find that it’s about these three: the Name of Jesus, the Word, and the Holy Spirit. The apostles ministered in the Name of Jesus, with the Word of God, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. That’s why they had such extraordinary results. It’s the same today. We do all things in His Name, live in and by His Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit. 

The Name of Jesus never fails. Doing all things in His Name means that you live your life every day in and with the consciousness of the power, glory and dominion of His Name. 

Some people try so hard to succeed through their own might and natural wisdom, yet true success eludes them. This is because they’re not acting on the Word; they’re not living the Word. They function from the mind—the sense-realm—which is grossly limited. Yet, true and lasting success is the result of meditation on the Word of God (Joshua 1:8). 

Thirdly is the power of the Holy Spirit. If you’ve been trying to succeed by your own power or ability, it’s time to quit the struggle and rely on the strategies of the Spirit and His wisdom to guide you. Our competence—the ability, wisdom and grace by which we function are of the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:5). Trust in Him. He’s the key to a life of joy, praise, endless victories and extraordinary success.

PRAYER 

Dear heavenly Father, thank you for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in my life, who causes me to be effective, productive and walk in your perfect will. I’m continually filled with the Spirit to effectively communicate the Gospel and impact my world with your divine presence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Look Beyond Yourself

“오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능(능력, 효율, 힘)을 받고…”(행 1:8, 확대번역본)

고린도후서 3:5는 말합니다. “우리가 무슨 일이든지 우리에게서 난 것 같이 스스로 만족할 것이 아니니 우리의 만족은 오직 하나님으로부터 나느니라.” 하나님을 송축합니다! 이는 당신이 어떤 능력도 부족하지 않음을 의미합니다.

빌립보서 2:13의 말씀이 떠오릅니다. “너희 안에서 행하시는 이는 하나님이시니 자기의 기쁘신 뜻을 위하여 너희로 소원을 두고 행하게 하시나니.” 성령님은 당신이 무언가를 원하고 할 수 있게 만드십니다. 성령님은 당신이 항상 최고 수준의 탁월함을 나타내도록 하십니다. 성경이 이렇게 말하는 것은 당연합니다. “우리가 이 보배를 질그릇에 가졌으니 이는 능력의 심히 큰 것이 하나님께 있고 우리에게 있지 아니하게 하려 함이라.”(고후 4:7)

그것은 당신의 능력이 아닌 당신 안에서 역사하는 그분의 신성한 능력입니다. 그러므로 스스로에게 제한받지 말고 그 이상을 보십시오. 당신의 삶에서 성령님의 인격, 능력, 은혜, 사역을 활용하십시오! 성령님이 당신의 유익이십니다. 당신의 사역, 직장, 사업, 학업에서 당신 안에서, 당신을 통해 역사하시는 그분의 은혜와 능력을 의식하십시오.

성령님의 강하신 능력으로 모든 일을 하십시오. 그분의 지혜와 인도하심을 따르십시오. 그분이 당신 안에 살고 계시므로 어떤 일이든지 감당할 수 있음을 인식하십시오. 스가랴 4:6은 말합니다. “…힘으로 되지 아니하며 능력으로 되지 아니하고 오직 나의 영으로 되느니라.” 성령님은 당신을 인간의 능력과 이해력을 넘어서는 일을 행하는 초자연적인 능력으로 충만케 하셨습니다. 할렐루야!

기도

나는 그리스도의 충만함으로 충만합니다. 나는 그분의 지혜와 은혜의 인도를 받아 그분의 강하신 능력으로 모든 일을 해냅니다. 나는 건강, 승리, 힘, 부요, 영광 가운데 걷습니다. 주님께서 내 안에서 걸으시고 일하시며, 그분의 뜻과 선한 기쁨을 완성하기 위해 나를 통해 역사하시기 때문입니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

LOOK BEYOND YOURSELF 

“But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…”(Acts 1:8 AMPC). 

2 Corinthians 3:5 AMPC says, “Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God.” Blessed be God! This means you don’t lack ability for anything. 

It brings to mind what the Scripture says in Philippians 2:13, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” The Holy Spirit makes you willing and able to perform; to deliver at the highest level of excellence all the time. No wonder the Bible says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:7). 

It’s not your power, but His divine ability that’s at work in you. Therefore, look beyond yourself. Take advantage of the person, power, grace and ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life! The Holy Spirit is your advantage. In your ministry, career, business, job or academics, be conscious of His grace and power at work in you and through you. 

Do all things by His mighty power. Follow His wisdom and guidance, conscious that you’re up to any task because He lives in you—walking and working in and through you. Zechariah 4:6 says, “… Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” He’s filled you with supernatural ability to do things that are beyond human ability and comprehension. Hallelujah! 

CONFESSION 

I’m sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I do all things by His mighty power, guided by His wisdom and grace. I walk in health, victory, strength, prosperity and glory, as the Lord walks in me, and works in and through me to perfect His will and good pleasure, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

성령님은 우리 삶의 영광이십니다

He’s The Glory Of Our Lives

“만일 너희 속에 하나님의 영이 거하시면 너희가 육신에 있지 아니하고 영에 있나니 누구든지 그리스도의 영이 없으면 그리스도의 사람이 아니라”(롬 8:9)

성령님은 아버지의 영광이십니다(롬 6:4). 또한 영광의 영이라고도 불리십니다(벧전 4:14). 성령님은 우리 삶의 영광이시며 기독교의 영광이십니다. 성령님 없이는 하나님을 알 수 없고, 예수님을 사랑할 수 없습니다.

성령을 받지 않은 그리스도인들은 피해자처럼 살아갑니다. 그들은 사탄에게 괴롭힘을 당하고 이 세상의 요소들에 취약합니다. 사도 바울은 에베소에서 만난 몇몇 제자들에게 물었습니다. “…너희가 믿을 때에 성령을 받았느냐?”

그들이 대답하며 말했습니다. “…우리는 성령이 계심도 듣지 못하였노라.”(행 19:2) 바울은 깜짝 놀랐습니다. 그는 즉시 성경을 가르치며 그들이 성령을 받을 수 있게 도왔습니다(행 19:3-6).

성령님 없이는 그 누구도 진정한 그리스도인의 삶을 살 수 없습니다. 거듭났지만 성령을 받지 못한 사람은 유혹과 죄에 쉽게 넘어갑니다. 그들은 육신의 욕망을 제어하지 못하며 악에서 자신을 보호하지 못합니다. 오직 성령님을 통해서만 육신의 행실과 욕망을 죽일 수 있습니다. “너희가 육신대로 살면 반드시 죽을 것이로되 영으로써 몸의 행실을 죽이면 살리니.”(롬 8:13)

성령님 없이는 그리스도의 성품을 가질 수 없습니다. 예수님도 성령을 받으셔야 했습니다. 사도들도 성령을 받아야만 했습니다. 성령님이 없는 삶은 공허합니다. 그러므로 아직 성령을 받지 못했다면 지금 바로 성령을 받으십시오. 다음과 같이 말하면 됩니다. “복되신 성령님, 나는 지금 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 당신을 나의 마음에 받아들입니다.” 그리고 하나님의 영으로 충만하게 채워지십시오. 아멘. 또는 당신이 출석하는 교회의 목사님이나 성령으로 충만하고 신뢰할 만한 신실한 그리스도인에게 가서 기도를 요청하십시오.

기도

HE’S THE GLORY OF OUR LIVES 

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his”(Romans 8:9).

The Holy Spirit is the glory of the Father (Romans 6:4). He’s also called the Spirit of glory (1 Peter 4:14). He’s the glory of our lives and the glory of Christianity. You couldn’t know God or love Jesus without the Holy Spirit. 

Christians who don’t have the Holy Spirit live as victims in life. They’re buffeted by Satan and vulnerable to the elements of this world. The Apostle Paul emphasized the importance of having the Holy Spirit when he asked certain disciples he met at Ephesus: “…Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?” 

When they answered and said, “…We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost” (Acts 19:2), Paul was stunned. Forthwith, he explained the scriptures to them and got them to receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 19:3-6). 

No one can live the authentic Christian life without the Holy Spirit. The one who’s born again but hasn’t received the Holy Spirit easily falls into temptations and sin; unable to control his fleshly appetites or restrain himself from evil. It’s only through the Holy Spirit that you mortify the deeds of the body and carnal desires: “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live” (Romans 8:13).

Without the Holy Spirit, you can’t have the character of Christ. Jesus had to have the Holy Spirit. The apostles had to have the Holy Spirit. Life without the Holy Spirit is empty. So, if you’re reading this and you haven’t received the Holy Spirit, do so right away. Simply say, “Blessed Holy Spirit, I receive you into my heart now in the Name of Jesus Christ”; and be filled with the Spirit of God. Amen. Otherwise, you may go to your church Pastor or a trusted and faithful Christian who’s filled with the Holy Spirit to pray for you. 

PRAYER 

Lord, I’m grateful for the blessing of being in fellowship with you. You’ve made my life beautiful; thank you for making me ever fruitful and productive. Your glory is revealed in and through me today, and my whole world is impacted and transformed by the glory of your divine presence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Keep Yourself In The Purity Of The Spirit

“…주 예수 그리스도의 이름과 우리 하나님의 성령 안에서 씻음과 거룩함과 의롭다 하심을 받았느니라”(고전 6:11)

우리는 그리스도 예수 안에서 주님의 이름으로 씻겨지고, 구별되고, 의롭다 하심을 받았습니다. 또한 주의 성령으로 말미암아 우리는 평생 거룩함과 의로움으로 그분을 섬길 수 있게 되었습니다. 누가복음 1:74-75은 말합니다. “…우리가 원수의 손에서 건지심을 받고 종신토록 주의 앞에서 성결과 의로 두려움이 없이 섬기게 하리라 하셨도다.”

어떤 그리스도인들은 자신의 삶에서 하나님의 영광을 나타내기 원하면서도 바르게 살지 않습니다. 그들은 성령의 순결함을 유지하지 않습니다. 그러나 기독교는 의로 부름 받은 삶입니다. 당신 안에 있는 그리스도와 같은 생명으로 살아야 하며, 하나님의 말씀이 당신의 빛입니다. 당신은 자신이 원하는 방식대로만 살 수 없습니다.

주 예수님은 요한복음 17:19에서 말씀하셨습니다. “또 그들을 위하여 내가 나를 거룩하게 하오니 이는 그들도 진리로 거룩함을 얻게 하려 함이니이다.” 예수님은 거룩하게 하는 능력을 강조하셨습니다. 이 능력은 자신을 잘못된 것으로부터 분리하는 능력, 마음과 삶을 정결케 하는 능력입니다.

그리스도인에게 옳지 않은 삶의 방식이 있습니다. 만일 당신의 삶을 향한 하나님의 목적을 이루고자 한다면, 순결하고 거룩한 삶을 살아야 합니다. 당신은 하나님의 그릇입니다. 당신은 깨끗한 삶 위에서 성령님과 교제하기 위해 거룩하게 되었습니다. 나쁜 태도와 습관, 세상적인 생활 방식 때문에 그 교제를 위태롭게 만들지 마십시오.

죄 가운데 살지 마십시오. 성경은 죄가 당신을 지배하지 못할 것이라고 말하고 있습니다. “죄가 너희를 주장하지 못하리니 이는 너희가 법 아래에 있지 아니하고 은혜 아래에 있음이라.”(롬 6:14) 당신은 주님을 위해 의롭게 살도록 자유로 부름 받았습니다. 말씀의 권위와 주되심에 자신을 내어드리고, 그분의 인도에 순종하십시오. 로마서 8:14은 말합니다. “무릇 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 사람은 곧 하나님의 아들이라.”

KEEP YOURSELF IN THE PURITY OF THE SPIRIT 

“… but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

In Christ Jesus, we’ve been washed, sanctified, and justified in the Name of the Lord, and by the Spirit of the Lord so we can serve Him in holiness and righteousness all the days of our lives. Luke 1:74-75 says, “…we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.”

Some Christians want to manifest the glory of God in their lives, yet they don’t live right. They don’t maintain the purity of the Spirit. But Christianity is a call to righteousness. The Christ-life in you must be lived accordingly, and the Word of God is your light. You can’t live the way you choose. 

The Lord Jesus in John 17:19 said, “And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.” Here, He emphasized the power of sanctification; the power of separating yourself from the wrong things; the power of purifying your mind and your life. 

There’s a way of life that’s not right for a Christian, and if you’re going to fulfil the purpose of God for your life, you must live a pure and holy life. You’re God’s vessel; you’ve been sanctified to be in fellowship with the Holy Spirit on a clean life. Don’t jeopardize that communion because of a bad attitude, behaviour or a worldly lifestyle. 

Don’t live in sin, for the Bible says sin shall not have dominion over you: “Remember this: sin will not conquer you, for God already has! You are not governed by law but governed by the reign of the grace of God” (Romans 6:14). You’ve been called into liberty, to live righteously for the Lord. Yield to the authority and Lordship of the Word, and submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in your life. Romans 8:14 says, “The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.”    

PRAYER 

Holy and righteous Father, I thank you for your love and for the gift of righteousness. Thank you for my dominion in Christ over Satan, sin and darkness. I stay on the path of purity, yielded to the Word, and the authority and guidance of the Holy Spirit; and I’m transformed continually by the renewing of my mind through your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

생산적인 삶

A Productive Life

“하나님이 그들에게 복을 주시며 하나님이 그들에게 이르시되 생육하고 번성하여 땅에 충만하라, 땅을 정복하라, 바다의 물고기와 하늘의 새와 땅에 움직이는 모든 생물을 다스리라 하시니라”(창 1:28)

창세기 1:26-28은 하나님이 자기 형상과 모양대로 사람을 창조하시고 그들에게 온 땅과 모든 생물을 다스리는 권세를 주셨음을 보여줍니다. “복을 주다”(히브리어 “바락(Barak)”)라는 단어는 찬양 또는 감사를 드린다는 뜻입니다. 하나님을 송축할 때 당신은 그분께 찬양과 감사를 드리는 것입니다! 그러나 당신이 다른 사람을 축복하거나 하나님이 당신을 축복하실 때 이는 어떤 유익이나 능력을 주는 것을 의미합니다. 그러므로 창세기 1:28에서 하나님이 하신 일은 아담과 하와가 생육하고 번성하여 땅을 가득 채우도록 효과적이고 생산적이도록 능력을 부여하신 것입니다!

예수님은 요한복음 15:16에서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “너희가 나를 택한 것이 아니요 내가 너희를 택하여 세웠나니 이는 너희로 가서 열매를 맺게 하고 또 너희 열매가 항상 있게 하여 내 이름으로 아버지께 무엇을 구하든지 다 받게 하려 함이라.” 따라서 우리는 가서 열매를 맺도록 부름 받았습니다.

둘째로 우리의 열매는 남아 있고 지속적인 영향을 미치도록 부름 받았습니다. 이는 곧 하나님께서 당신을 효능감 있는 존재로 만드셨음을 의미합니다. 당신은 원하는 결과를 낼 수 있는 능력이 있습니다. 당신에게 목표가 주어졌다면 당신의 능력은 믿을 만합니다. 삶에 원하는 결과를 생산할 수 있는 능력이 주어졌습니다. 이것은 그리스도 안에 있는 당신의 본성입니다.

당신은 자신감을 가지고 살아갈 수 있습니다. 당신이 하는 모든 노력이 성공으로 바뀔 것을 알고 있기 때문입니다. 이것이 바로 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 목적 있는 삶, 능력의 삶, 생산성 있는 삶입니다. 이 진리를 받아들이고, 생산적인 삶을 살도록 하나님께 부름 받고 선택받은 자의 확신을 가지고 나아가십시오.

나는 물 댄 동산과 같아 언제나 열매 맺습니다. 나는 하나님의 포도나무에서 열매를 맺는 가지이며, 나는 견고한 열매를 맺습니다. 나는 의의 열매를 맺습니다. 내가 의의 나무이기 때문입니다. 나는 하나님의 계획에 의해 심겨진 푸르른 나무처럼 견고하게 서서, 축복의 시냇가에 깊이 뿌리를 내리고, 삶의 모든 계절에 열매를 맺습니다. 나는 항상 축복받고 언제나 번영합니다. 아멘.

A PRODUCTIVE LIFE 

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”(Genesis 1:28).  

In Genesis 1:26-28, the Bible shows us that God created man in His image and in His likeness, and blessed them with the ability to have dominion over all the earth, including every living creature. “To bless” (Hebrew “Barak”) is to praise or give thanks. When you bless God, you’re praising and giving Him thanks! But when you bless another or God blesses you, it means to confer some benefit or to empower. So what God did in Genesis 1:28 was that He empowered Adam and Eve to be fruitful and productive, to multiply, replenish and refill the earth!

In John 15:16, Jesus tells us, “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you, that you should go forth and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” The word “may” in the King James translation carries a firm affirmation rather than mere speculation. Thus, we are called to go and bring forth fruits.

Secondly, our fruits are meant to remain and have a lasting impact. This means that He has made you efficacious. You have the ability to produce desired results. If you were given a target, your efficacy can be trusted. There’s an ability introduced into your life to produce desired results. It’s your nature in Christ. 

You can approach life with confidence, knowing that every endeavour you’re engaged in, will turn into success. It’s the life God has given us—a life of purpose, power, and productivity. Embrace this truth and walk in the confidence of being chosen and appointed by God to live a productive life. 

CONFESSION 

I’m like a well-watered garden, fruitful at all times. I’m the fruit-bearing part of God’s vine and I’m producing durable fruits—fruits of righteousness, because I’m a tree of righteousness. I’m standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life. I am ever blessed, ever prosperous. Amen.

사도들처럼 생각하십시오

Think Like The Apostles

“예루살렘에 있는 사도들이 사마리아도 하나님의 말씀을 받았다 함을 듣고 베드로와 요한을 보내매”(행 8:14)

사도행전 8:14에서 예루살렘에 있는 사도들이 사마리아가 하나님의 말씀을 받아들였다는 소식을 들었습니다. 즉각적으로 그들은 베드로와 요한을 보내어 그들에게 사역하도록 했습니다. 이 사도들은 우리가 본받아야 할 놀라운 마음가짐을 가지고 있었습니다. 하나님의 말씀이 사마리아에 뿌리내렸기 때문에, 사마리아는 이제 그들에게 속한 땅이 되었습니다.

사마리아에 있는 모든 사람이 그리스도인이 된 것은 아니었습니다. 말씀의 씨가 뿌려졌고, 영적 토양이 그 말씀을 받았습니다. 그리고 사도들은 이를 사마리아가 복음에 장악된 것으로 여겼습니다.

베드로와 요한이 사마리아에 도착해서 한 첫 번째 일은 사도행전 19장에서 바울이 에베소에 도착한 뒤 한 일과 비슷했습니다. 사도들은 사람들이 성령을 받을 수 있도록 사역했습니다(사도행전 8:14-15를 읽어보십시오).

우리는 사도들과 같은 사고방식을 가져야 합니다. 그들의 확신은 천국은 겨자씨 한 알에서 우뚝 솟은 나무가 되어 다른 어떤 풀보다 커진다는 비유에 담긴 예수님의 말씀에 근거하고 있었습니다. 이 성장을 막을 방법은 없습니다(눅 13:18-19).

하나님의 말씀이 어떤 도시, 마을, 공동체, 국가, 민족에 심겨지면, 사도들은 그곳이 장악되었다는 것을 알았습니다. 사도들은 그런 곳에서 말씀으로 해야 할 일을 알고 있었습니다.

우리는 복음으로 도시와 공동체를 장악해야 합니다. 사도들처럼 생각하고 그들의 사고방식을 가지십시오. 바울처럼 생각하십시오. 바울은 에베소에 도착했을 때 자신이 에베소와 그 이상의 지역들을 장악하고 있음을 알았습니다.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나에게 내 세상과 그 너머에 있는 사람들에게 복음을 가져가야 하는 신성한 책임을 맡겨 주셔서 감사합니다. 내가 가지고 있는 당신의 영광스러운 복음의 빛은 불신자들의 마음에 있는 어둠을 쫓아내고, 악의 속박을 파괴하고, 당신의 의를 그들 안에 세웁니다. 실로 말씀이 흥왕하여 나의 도시와 그 이상의 지역에서 세력을 얻습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THINK LIKE THE APOSTLES 

“Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John”(Acts 8:14).  

In Acts 8:14, the apostles in Jerusalem received news that Samaria had embraced the Word of God. Promptly, they sent Peter and John to minister to them. These apostles possessed a remarkable mindset that we should emulate. To them, Samaria belonged to them because the Word of God had taken root there. 

Understand that not everyone in Samaria had become a Christian, but the seed of the Word had been sown, and the spiritual ground had received it. Consequently, the apostles considered Samaria taken over by the Gospel.  

When Peter and John arrived in Samaria, the first thing they did was similar to what Paul did after he journeyed to Ephesus in Acts 19: They ministered to the people to receive the Holy Spirit (read Acts 8:14-15). 

We are to have the same mentality with the apostles. Their conviction stemmed from the words of Jesus, who likened the Kingdom of heaven to a mustard seed that grows into a towering plant, surpassing all others. The growth is unstoppable (Luke 13:18-19). 

Once the Word of God was planted in a place, be it a city, town, community, country, or a nation, the apostles knew they had taken over the place; they knew what to do with the Word in such places. 

We need to seize cities and communities with the Gospel. Think like the apostles; adopt their mindset. Think like Paul, who, when he arrived at Ephesus, knew he was conquering not only that place but the regions beyond. 

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I thank you for entrusting me with the divine responsibility of reaching those in my world and in distant lands with the message of the Gospel. The light of your glorious Gospel that I bear dispels the darkness in the hearts of the unconverted, destroying the bonds of wickedness, and establishing them in your righteousness. Indeed, the word prevails in my city, and the regions beyond, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

성령과 말씀이 필요합니다

It Takes The Spirit And The Word

“이와 같이 주의 말씀이 힘이 있어 흥왕하여 세력을 얻으니라”(행 19:20)

당신이 말씀 사역을 위해 특별집회에 초대받아 길고 지루한 여행을 떠났다고 상상해 보십시오. 산을 건너고, 물도 건너며, 심지어 여러 어려움도 마주했습니다.

마침내 도시에 도착했을 때 12명의 사람이 당신을 반갑게 맞이합니다. 환영인사가 끝난 후 당신이 열정적으로 “그러면 이제 집회를 시작할까요?”라고 말합니다. 그러자 그들이 한 목소리로 말합니다. “이게 전부입니다. 이 도시에는 우리 12명뿐입니다.”

이것이 에베소에서의 바울의 경험이었습니다. 바울은 에베소에 대한 소문을 들었지만, 그가 도착했을 때는 오직 12명의 제자만 있었습니다. 바울은 더 많은 사람들을 만날 것이라 예상했었습니다. 바울은 자신이 당면한 도전이 무엇인지 깨달았고 해결책 또한 알고 있었습니다. 우리는 사도행전 19:2에 언급된 바울의 질문과 12명 제자의 대답에서 확인할 수 있습니다. 그들은 성령을 받지 못한 상태였습니다.

바울은 그들에게 요한의 침례와 예수 그리스도를 믿어야 함을 전했습니다. 그들은 이 말씀을 듣고, 주 예수 이름으로 침례를 받았습니다. 그리고 나서 바울은 그들에게 손을 얹어 성령을 받을 수 있게 도왔습니다. 그러자 그들이 방언과 예언을 말하기 시작했습니다. 바울은 그들이 성령을 받으면 복음에 열광할 것을 알고 있었습니다.

바울은 거기서 멈추지 않고 요한의 침례만을 받았다는 그들의 상태에 대해 명확하게 말해주었습니다. 그는 “한 땀 한 땀 수 놓기”, 곧 세 달간 말씀을 하나하나 가르치는 일을 하기로 결정했습니다(행 19:8).

바울을 통해 배워야 할 중요한 교훈은 듣는 이가 아무리 적어도 낙심하지 않았다는 것입니다. 바울은 12명과 함께 일했고, 그들에게 사역했으며, 함께 전도 활동을 시작하여 유대인과 이방인 모두에게 갔습니다.

그 결과, 에베소 전체가 하나님의 말씀에 영향을 받았습니다! 오늘의 본문 구절에서 읽은 것처럼 하나님의 말씀이 힘이 있어 흥왕하여 세력을 얻어 온 도시 구석구석에 퍼졌습니다. 할렐루야!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 사람들의 삶 가운데 있는 말씀의 능력과 성령의 사역에 감사드립니다. 나는 복음을 전하는 일에 헌신합니다. 나는 당신의 말씀을 땅 끝까지 가지고 가서 열방에 의의 길을 가르치고 성령을 부어줍니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

IT TAKES THE SPIRIT AND THE WORD 

“So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed”(Acts 20:30).

Imagine being invited to a special conference to minister the Word, and you undertake a long, tedious, journey to get to the city. You went through the mountains, sailed on a boat, or even encountered some dangers on the way. 

When you finally arrive at the city, you’re greeted by a group of twelve people who express excitement at your arrival. After the pleasantries, you say enthusiastically, “Shall we proceed to the conference?” and they all chorus, “Sir, this is the meeting; its only us twelve in the city.” 

That was Paul’s experience at Ephesus. He had heard reports about this city, but upon his arrival, he found only twelve disciples there, though he expected to meet more. Paul recognized the challenge before him, and also knew the solution to the issue. We can tell from his question in Acts 19:2, and the answer the twelve disciples gave him: they hadn’t received the Holy Spirit. 

Paul then explained to them the baptism of John and the need to believe in Jesus Christ. Upon hearing this, they were baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Afterwards, he laid his hands on them to receive the Holy Spirit and they began to speak in tongues and prophesy. Paul knew that when they received the Holy Spirit, they’d go wild for the Gospel.

Paul didn’t stop there. Learning that they had been baptized only with John’s baptism gave him clarity about their situation. He decided to do a “sewing machine job,” that is, a three-month step-by-step teaching of the Word (Acts 19:8).

An important lesson to learn from Paul was that he wasn’t discouraged even though his audience was relatively small. He worked with the twelve men, ministered to them, and embarked on an evangelistic endeavour in the city, reaching out to both Jews and Gentiles. 

The subsequent result was that all of Ephesus was impacted with the Word of God! As read in our opening verse, the Word of God grew mightily and prevailed throughout the nooks and cranny of the entire city. Hallelujah! 

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I thank you for the power of your Word and the ministry of the Spirit in the lives of men. I’m committed to preaching the Gospel, taking your Word to the ends of the earth, teaching all nations the way of righteousness, and imparting them with the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

이사야, 다니엘, 에스겔, 스가랴, 아모스, 호세아, 요한계시록, 그리고 데살로니가전후서를 공부해보면, 창조부터 천국의 도성인 새 예루살렘이 건설될 때까지의 하나님의 연대표를 명확하게 알 수 있습니다.

이 말씀들은 한때 하나님께서 주신 기회로 세상을 지배했던 여러 정부들에 대해 알려줍니다. 그 제국들은 교회 시대 이전까지 수천 년 동안 여러 민족과 왕국들을 다스렸습니다. 그렇지만 하나님은 교회 시대 때 어떤 개인이나 단체에게 세상을 다스리는 기회를 주지 않으셨습니다. 대신 예수 그리스도의 이름을 세우시고, 천국의 관점에서 이 땅에서 합법적으로 행할 모든 일을 할 수 있는 이름으로 만드셨습니다.

교회 시대는 전적으로 예수 그리스도의 이름에 맡겨져 있습니다. 예수 이름은 하늘, 땅, 땅 아래 있는 것들을 다스리는데 사용됩니다. 열방의 운명을 결정하는 것은 사탄이 아니라 우리입니다.

교회가 휴거 될 때까지 세상에 대한 최종 결정권은 우리에게 있습니다. 주님은 우리를 그분의 신성한 본성에 참여하는 자로 만드셨습니다. 우리는 천국의 일원입니다. 예수 이름으로 우리는 황폐해진 유산을 재배치합니다. 이것이 하나님의 계획입니다.

우리가 이 세상에 있는 한 사탄은 자신의 뜻을 행하거나 열방에 영향력을 행사할 수 없을 것입니다. 우리는 하나님의 말씀의 지혜를 통해 마귀의 일과 계략을 분별할 수 있습니다. 그리고 예수 이름에 속한 우리의 권세를 가지고 사탄을 열방에서 끊어내고 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 의를 굳게 세울 것입니다.

기도

예수 이름은 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름입니다. 예수 이름은 현존하는 모든 통치자, 권세, 정부, 권력의 영역보다 위대합니다. 예수 이름은 걷지 못하는 팔다리를 온전케 하고, 보이지 않는 눈을 뜨게 하며, 들리지 않는 귀를 듣게 하시며, 죽은 자를 살리십니다. 예수 이름으로 나는 열방 가운데 평안, 온전함, 건강, 치유, 번영, 풍요가 충만할 것을 선포합니다. 주님의 선하심이 열방에 지속적으로 나타납니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

WE RULE BY HIS NAME 

“And now he is exalted as first above every ruler, authority, government, and realm of power in existence! He is gloriously enthroned over every name that is ever praised, not only in this age, but in the age that is coming!”(Ephesians 1:21 TPT). 

As you study the books of Isaiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah, Amos, Hosea, and the book of Revelation, as well as 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, you’ll gain clarity about God’s timeline from the creation until the establishment of the heavenly city, the New Jerusalem. 

These books tell us about different world governments that ruled the world as opportunities were given to them by God. These empires governed nations and kingdoms for thousands of years until the Church age. God didn’t give any individual or group the opportunity to govern the world in the Church age. Instead, He established the Name of Jesus Christ as the name by which anything can be legally done in this world, as far as heaven is concerned. 

The Church age is exclusively left for the Name of Jesus Christ. His Name is to be used in governing things in heaven, in earth, and under the earth. So, we’re the ones in charge and in control of things in this world; we’re the ones to determine the destinies of the nations, not Satan. 

Until the Rapture of the Church, we have the final say on what becomes of our world. The Lord made us partakers of His divine nature; we’re members of the heavenly pantheon; and in His Name, we reassign the desolate heritages. That’s God’s plan.

Satan isn’t going to be able to enforce his will and exert his influence on the nations as long as we are in this world. We can discern his works and stratagems through the wisdom of God’s Word. And with our authority in the Name of Jesus, we cut him off from the nations and establish the righteousness of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

CONFESSION 

The Name of Jesus is the name above all names; His Name is greater than every ruler, authority, government, and realm of power in existence. His Name replaces maimed limbs, opens blind eyes, unstops deaf ears, and raises the dead. In the Name of Jesus, I declare that there’s peace, wholeness, wellness, healing, prosperity and abundance in the nations of the earth, and the goodness of the Lord is continually experienced in the nations.
