Fervent And Persistent In Prayer

“이에 베드로는 옥에 갇혔고 교회는 그를 위하여 간절히 하나님께 기도하더라”(행 12:5)

주 예수님은 항상 깨어 기도해야 하는 필요성에 대해 강조하셨습니다. 예를 들어, 예수님은 누가복음 21:36에서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “이러므로 너희는 장차 올 이 모든 일을 능히 피하고 인자 앞에 서도록 항상 기도하며 깨어 있으라 하시니라.” 누가복음 18:1에서도 다음과 같이 말씀하셨습니다. “예수께서 그들에게 항상 기도하고 낙심하지 말아야 할 것을…” 사도 바울은 데살로니가전서 5:17에서 기도에 대해 더욱 강조합니다. “쉬지 말고 기도하라.” 성경에서 지속적으로 기도의 중요성에 대해 설명하는 이유는 무엇입니까?

예수님의 말씀을 기억해 보십시오. “… 뜻이 하늘에서 이루어진 것 같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다.”(마 6:10, 눅 11:2) 하나님은 그분의 뜻이 하늘에서 이루어진 것 같이 땅에서도 이루어지기를 바라십니다. 하나님은 그분의 뜻이 열방에 이루어질 책임을 그분의 백성들에게 맡기셨습니다. 하나님은 우리가 제사장으로서 중보기도를 통해 그분의 뜻을 이 땅에서 나타내게 하시고, 그분과 함께 세상을 다스리게 하십니다.

예를 들어, 누가는 사도행전 12:1-5에서 성도들의 지속적이고 진심 어린 중보기도의 결과를 보여줍니다. 헤롯 왕은 유대인들을 만족시키기 위해 교회를 탄압하고 주님의 제자 중 하나인 야고보를 처형했습니다. 기뻐하는 유대인들의 반응을 보고 더욱 동기부여가 된 그는 베드로를 체포하려고 했습니다.

헤롯 왕은 교회를 이끌고 있던 베드로를 죽이는 일이 교회가 상징하는 모든 것을 파괴하는 가장 전략적인 방법이라고 생각했을 것입니다. 하지만 교회는 베드로를 위해 꾸준히 기도했습니다. 베드로가 감옥에 있을 때 “…교회는 그를 위하여 간절히 하나님께 기도”(행 12:5)했습니다.

교회가 간절하고 끈질기게 기도하자 천국의 개입이 있었습니다! 주님의 천사가 나타나 베드로를 결박에서 풀어주고 안전한 곳으로 인도했습니다. 베드로는 요한의 어머니 마리아의 집으로 향했고, 그곳에서 교회가 모여 간절히 기도하고 있었습니다(행 12:12).

끈질기고 열렬하게 기도하는 것을 배우십시오. 야고보서 5:16(확대번역본)에서 말하는 바를 기억하십시오. “…의인의 진정한(심령에서 우러나오고 끊임없는) 기도는 [역동적으로 일하며] 엄청난 힘을 발휘한다.” 변화가 있을 때까지 계속 기도하십시오. 우리는 기도를 통해 무엇이든 바꿀 수 있는 능력을 가지고 있습니다. 하나님이 그렇게 만드셨습니다. 할렐루야!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나는 깨어 있고 분별력이 있으며, 이 땅과 사람들의 마음 속에 당신의 의를 세우는 자로서 역할을 이해하고 있습니다. 나는 오늘 모든 열방과 지도자들이 당신의 위대한 권능 아래 있음을 선포합니다. 그러므로 이 세상에 있는 모든 악과 어둠의 원인인 악한 영들이 떠나가고 평안이 다스립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

FERVENT AND PERSISTENT IN PRAYER 

“So Peter was kept in prison, but fervent prayer for him was persistently made to God by the church (assembly)”(Acts 12:5 AMPC).

The Lord Jesus emphasised the need for us to watch and pray always. In Luke 21:36, for example, He said, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” In Luke 18:1, He also said, “men ought always to pray, and not to faint….” The Apostle Paul further emphasizes this in 1 Thessalonians 5:17: “Pray without ceasing.” Why is there so much emphasis on us praying?

Recall the words of Jesus, “…Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10, Luke 11:2). He wants His will established in the earth as it is in heaven. He holds His people responsible for making His will come to pass in the nations. He lets us run the world with Him, enforcing His will in the nations of the world through our priestly ministry of intersession. 

Luke, in Acts 12:1-5, for example, shows us the impact of the heartfelt, continued, intercessory prayer of the saints. Herod, the king, sought to oppress the Church and executed James, one of the Lord’s disciples, so as to please the Jews. Motivated by the exciting response of the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter. 

Herod must have thought that killing Peter, the leader of the group, would be the most strategic way to destroy everything the Church stood for. However, the Church remained steadfast in prayer for Peter. While Peter was in prison, “…prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him” (Acts 12:5).

As the Church prayed fervently and persistently, there was an intervention from heaven! An angel of the Lord appeared and freed Peter from his chains and guided him to safety. He then went to the house of Mary, the mother of John, where the Church had gathered in fervent prayer (Acts 12:12).

Learn to be persistent and fervent in prayer. Remember what the Bible says in James 5:16 AMPC, “…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” Persist in prayer until there’s a change. We have the power to change anything through our prayers. God made it so. Hallelujah!

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I’m vigilant and discerning, understanding my role in establishing your righteousness in the earth and in the hearts of men. I declare that the nations and leaders of the world are under the divine influence of your mighty power, and that wicked spirits responsible for evil and all forms of darkness in the nations are unseated, and peace reigns, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Being Baptized Into Christ

“하나님이 그들로 하여금 이 비밀의 영광이 이방인 가운데 얼마나 풍성한지를 알게 하려 하심이라 이 비밀은 너희 안에 계신 그리스도시니 곧 영광의 소망이니라”(골 1:27)

어떤 그리스도인들은 성령 안으로 침례 받는 일과 성령을 받는 일이 동일한 일이라고 오해합니다. 말씀에 따르면 이 두 가지 일은 동일하지 않습니다. 이 둘은 별개의 경험입니다.

실제로 당신이 그리스도께 나아와 영생을 얻을 때 일어나는 가장 첫 번째 경험은 그리스도 안으로 침례를 받고 그분 안에 깊게 잠기는 것입니다. 바울은 고린도후서 5:17에서 이에 대해 생생하게 묘사합니다. “그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다.”

따라서 그리스도 안에서 혹은 그리스도 안으로 태어나는 것은 곧 재창조되는 것입니다. 당신은 이제 그리스도 안에서 새로운 사람입니다. 이 경험은 고린도전서 12:13에서 말하는 것처럼 성령님께서 당신을 그분 안으로 영접할 때 일어납니다. “우리가 유대인이나 헬라인이나 종이나 자유인이나 다 한 성령으로 세례를 받아 한 몸이 되었고…” 이것이 바로 거듭남, 즉 다시 태어나는 것입니다.

고린도전서 12:13에서 이어지는 부분은 두 번째 경험인 성령님을 당신 안에 모시는 것에 대해 언급합니다 “… 또 다 한 성령을 마시게 하셨느니라.” 이 구절은 성령을 받아 당신 안에 거하시도록 하며, 그분과 한 몸 안에서 하나가 되는 것을 뜻합니다(고전 6:17, 요 7:37-39).

성령을 받는 것은 그리스도 안으로 들어와 거듭나는 것과는 다른 경험입니다. 예를 들어, 오순절에 제자들은 거듭났고 또한 같은 날 그들 안에 거하실 성령을 받았습니다.

오늘날 많은 사람들도 비슷한 경험을 합니다. 그들은 거듭나자마자 바로 성령을 받습니다. 하지만 모든 사람에게 항상 해당되는 일은 아닙니다. 예를 들어, 사도행전 19장에서 사도 바울은 에베소에서 몇몇 제자들을 만나 그들이 믿었을 때 성령을 받았느냐고 물었습니다.

그들은 성령님이 계신다는 말을 듣지도 못했다고 대답했습니다. 바울이 에베소에서 만났던 제자들과 같이, 어떤 사람들은 거듭나고 성령을 받기까지 기다리는 시간이 생길 수도 있습니다. 그들이 성령님과 그분의 성도 안에서의 사역을 알지 못했기 때문입니다.

사도 바울조차 다마스커스로 가는 길에서 그리스도를 영접하고 거듭났지만 다마스커스의 제자 아나니아가 와서 안수하여 사흘만에 성령을 받았습니다(행 9:9-11, 17).

그러므로 거듭난다는 것은 실제로 성령님과 그리스도와 하나님 안으로 침례를 받는 것입니다. 사도 요한은 이를 하나님 안에 거한다고 표현하고, 하나님이 당신 안에 거하시는 것과는 구별했습니다(요일 4:15). 사도 바울의 표현도 동일합니다. 바울은 거듭나며 시작되는 ‘그리스도 안에 거함’, 그리고 성령을 받으며 분명하게 시작되는 ‘당신 안에 계신 그리스도’를 구분했습니다(고후 5:17, 골 1:27).

고백

사랑하는 아버지, 내 안에 계시는 성령님으로 인해 감사드립니다. 성령님은 나를 지혜와 영광과 은혜로 충만하게 하시고, 내가 그리스도 안에서 승리하는 삶을 살며 아버지의 의를 나타내도록 신성한 능력을 주셨습니다. 나는 그리스도와 분리될 수 없는 하나가 되었습니다. 내가 그분 안에서 살고, 움직이고, 존재하기 때문입니다! 나는 그분의 영광과 신성의 화신이자 표현입니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

BEING BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST 

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”(Colossians 1:27).  

Some Christians misconstrue being baptized in the Holy Ghost with receiving the Holy Spirit to live in you. According to the Scriptures, these two aren’t the same; they’re two distinct experiences.

The first thing that actually happens when you come to Christ, or receive eternal life is that you are baptized or immersed into Christ. Paul captures it vividly in 2 Corinthians 5:17, when he said, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 

Therefore, to be in Christ or be born into Christ is to be recreated; you’re now a new person in Christ. This first experience is when the Holy Spirit receives you into Him, just as the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 12:13, “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free….” This is the new birth—being born again. 

The second part of the verse refers to the second experience “…and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” This is receiving the Holy Spirit to dwell in you to become one with Him in same body (1 Corinthians 6:17, John 7:37-39). 

Receiving Him is a separate experience that follows the first experience. On the day of Pentecost, for example, the disciples were born again and also received the Holy Spirit to dwell in them on that same occasion. 

The same experience happens to many people today; immediately they’re born again, they receive the Holy Spirit. But this isn’t always the case. In Acts 19, for example, the Apostle Paul encountered some disciples in Ephesus and asked them if they had received the Holy Spirit since they believed. 

They replied that they hadn’t even heard that there’s a Holy Spirit. So, for some individuals, there might be a period of waiting, maybe due to lack of knowledge about the Holy Spirit and His ministry in the saints, like these disciples Paul encountered in Ephesus.   

The Apostle Paul Himself received Christ and was born again on the road to Damascus, but received the Holy Spirit after 3 days when Ananias, a disciple of Damascus came to him and laid hands on him (Acts 9:9-11, 17). 

So, being born again is actually being baptized into the Holy Ghost, into Christ, and into God. John refers to it as being in God and distinguishes that from He in you (1 John 4:15) much as Paul the apostle distinguishes ‘being in Christ’, which begins at the new birth, from ‘Christ in you’ which evidently is initiated when you receive the Holy Spirit into you (2 Corinthians 5:17, Colossians 1:27).

CONFESSION 

Dear Father, I thank you for the Holy Spirit, who lives in me. He’s filled me with wisdom, glory and grace, and has imparted me with divine enablement to live the victorious life in Christ, and demonstrate your righteousness. I’m inseparably one with Christ, for in Him I live, move and have my being! I’m the embodiment and expression of His glory and divinity. Glory to God!

His Fullness In Us

“하나님이 보내신 이는 하나님의 말씀을 하나니 이는 하나님이 성령을 한량없이 주심이니라”(요 3:34)

“당신 안에 계신 그리스도”는 하나님께서 그분의 충만함 가운데 당신 안에 거하신다는 의미입니다. 부분적으로 혹은 어느 정도만 거하시는 것이 아닙니다. 이는 과장이 아닌 실재이며 아주 중요한 진리입니다. 성령님이 그리스도 안에 거하셨던 것처럼 지금 당신 안에 거하십니다. 당신은 이 진리를 깊게 묵상해 본 적이 있습니까?

골로새서 1:19은 주 예수님에 대해 말하며 하나님의 모든 충만이 예수님 안에 거하기를 기뻐하셨다고 말합니다. 우리는 하나님의 모든 충만이 예수님 안에 거하셨다는 사실은 쉽게 받아들입니다. 그렇지만 이 사실은 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 우리에게 동일하게 적용됩니다. 위 구절에서 하나님의 모든 충만이 예수님 안에 거하기를 기뻐하셨다고 말한 것처럼 골로새서 2:10은 다음과 같이 말합니다. “너희도 그 안에서 충만하여졌으니 그는 모든 통치자와 권세의 머리시라.”

요한복음 1:16은 말합니다. “우리가 다 그의 충만한(풍성한) 데서 받으니…” 바로 이것이 우리를 향한 하나님의 목적입니다. 그분의 충만함으로 충만해지는 것입니다. 따라서 이것은 가능성일 뿐만 아니라 그리스도 안에 있는 우리의 실재입니다. 그리스도는 당신의 온 존재에 거하십니다. 당신의 영, 혼, 몸에 거하십니다. 이 말씀을 이해한다면 엄청난 변화를 경험할 것입니다. 이 말씀이 세상을 변화시키려면 우리가 반드시 말씀을 따라 행해야 합니다.

기도

나는 하나님으로 충만합니다. 나는 하나님의 충만하심을 받았습니다. 나는 하나님의 능력, 지혜, 은혜, 권세, 힘을 받았습니다! 하나님의 영광이 내 안에 있고, 나를 통해 표현됩니다. 그러므로 내 삶은 지속적으로 그리스도와 초자연적인 일들을 나타냅니다! 나는 내가 운반하는 그리스도의 의의 능력과 권세로 내 세상에 영향을 끼칩니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HIS FULLNESS IN US 

“For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him” (John 3:34).

“Christ in you” signifies that God resides in you in His fullness; not in parts, nor in a measure. This is an immensely significant truth, one that cannot be overstated. Just as the Holy Spirit dwelt in Christ, He now dwells in you. Have you really taken the time to contemplate this truth? 

Colossians 1:19, referring to the Lord Jesus, says that in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell. We can readily accept that the fullness of God dwells in Jesus. But the same is true of us in Christ Jesus. Just as we read that it pleased the Father to have all the fullness of God dwell in Jesus, Colossians 2:10 says, “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.”

Now, you can better understand why Paul would pray specifically for the Ephesians in Ephesians 3:19 “…that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” He wanted them to experience this ministry of the Holy Spirit and come to the realization of this truth about the indwelling fullness of God. In Ephesians 1:22-23, it says we, the Church, are His body; we’re the fullness of Him that fills all in all. Hallelujah. 

John 1:16 says, “For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received….” This is God’s purpose for us—to be filled with His fullness. So, not only is this a possibility, it’s our reality in Christ. He lives within every fibre of your being; in your spirit, soul, and body. Understanding this message is transformative. It is what will change the world, but we must act upon it.

CONFESSION 

I’m full of God; I’ve received of His fullness: His ability, wisdom, grace, power, and strength! His glory is in me and expressed through me; therefore, my life is a continuous manifestation of Christ and the supernatural! I impact my world with the power and dominion of Christ’s righteousness that I bear, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Called To Excellence

“그의 신기한 능력으로 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨으니 이는 자기의 영광과 덕으로써 우리를 부르신 이를 앎으로 말미암음이라”(벧후 1:3)

사도 베드로가 오늘의 본문 구절의 끝부분에서 말한 내용을 주목하십시오. 베드로는 하나님께서 우리를 영광과 덕으로 부르셨다고 말했습니다. 우리는 영광과 덕의 삶, 탁월한 삶으로 부름 받았습니다. 가난과 질병은 당신의 부르심에 속해 있지 않습니다. 할렐루야!

우리 삶에는 평범함이나 지루함이 없습니다. 우리는 모든 면에서 탁월합니다. 탁월함을 위해 부르심 받았기 때문입니다. 베드로전서 2:9(확대번역본)은 말합니다. “그러나 너희는 선택받은 민족이요 왕 같은 제사장이며, 구별되어 헌신된 나라요, [하나님께서] 친히 사신 특별한 백성이니, 이는 너희를 어두움에서 불러내어 그의 놀라운 빛으로 들어가게 하신 분의 경이로운 행위를 내세우고 그분의 덕과 완벽함을 내보이게 하려 하심이라.”

당신은 하나님이 어둠에서 불러내어 그분의 기이한 빛에 들어가게 하신 이의 경이로운 행위와 그분의 덕과 완벽함을 나타내기 위해 직접 예수님의 보혈로 사신 특별한 사람입니다. 하나님을 송축합니다. 절대 당신을 이것보다 낮게 여기지 마십시오. 절대 당신의 가치를 과소평가하지 마십시오.

이 세상에 있는 매 순간 어디를 가든 당신이 탁월함을 위해 태어났다는 것을 이해하고 인식하십시오. 탁월해지는 것은 당신의 운명입니다. 당신은 탁월한 삶을 가지고 있습니다. 탁월한 일들을 행하고 나타내십시오.

기도

CALLED TO EXCELLENCE 

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”(2 Peter 1:3).

Notice what the Apostle Peter said in the latter part of the scripture above; he said God has called us to glory and virtue. We have a calling to a life of glory and virtue, that is, a life of excellence. Poverty and sickness have no place in this calling. Hallelujah! 

It’s important to know that your life of excellence isn’t a future plan or a promise to be fulfilled when we get to heaven; no! It’s a present reality, for here and now! The Amplified Classic helps us to get a fuller grasp. It says, “For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).” 

There’s no room for mediocrity or mundanity in our lives. We are excellent in every way because we have been called to it. There’s more. In 1 Peter 2:9 AMPC, the Bible says, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 

You’re God’s own purchased, special individual, bought by the blood of Jesus to set forth the wonderful deeds, and showcase the virtues and perfections of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. Blessed be God. Never think less of yourself. Never underestimate your worth. 

Every day you’re in this world, wherever you go, understand and be conscious that you’re born for excellence. It’s your destiny to be excellent. You have an excellent path of life. Therefore, do and manifest excellent things. 

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I thank you for your life and nature in my spirit, and the life of excellence that I have in Christ Jesus. You’ve made my life beautiful, and you’ve enabled me to be an effective witness and representative of your Kingdom, showing forth your praises, and illuminating the dark places of the earth with the light of the glorious Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Kingdom Vent For Righteousness

예수님이 이 땅에 오셔서 이스라엘 민족에게 왕국을 제안하셨지만, 그들은 예수님을 믿지 않았습니다. 그들은 예수님의 메시지를 거부했습니다. 그래서 예수님은 이방인, 즉 모든 민족으로 그 범위를 확장하셨습니다. 오늘날 예수 그리스도를 믿는 사람은 누구든지 이 엄청난 왕국을 받습니다!

이사야 35:5-6에서 이사야 선지자는 다음과 같이 선포했습니다. “그 때에 맹인의 눈이 밝을 것이며 못 듣는 사람의 귀가 열릴 것이며 그 때에 저는 자는 사슴 같이 뛸 것이며 말 못하는 자의 혀는 노래하리니 이는 광야에서 물이 솟겠고 사막에서 시내가 흐를 것임이라.” 이는 왕국에 대한 표현입니다.

저는 이 말씀을 이해하고 나서 어둠, 고통, 가난이 존재하는 문명의 이면으로 가서 설교하게 되었습니다. 그 여정 가운데 눈먼 자의 눈이 열리고, 못 듣는 자의 귀가 열리고, 말하지 못하던 사람의 입이 열리고, 절름발이가 걷도록 명했고, 그 일이 실제로 일어났습니다.

이사야 35:6의 마지막 부분이 가난과 결핍의 끝을 말하고 있음을 알고 있던 저는 회중들에게 상황과 상관없이 이제 그들이 초자연적인 생명을 가지고 있다고 선포했습니다. 그들 안에 그리스도가 계시기 때문입니다. 그들은 이 진리를 믿었고, 진리에 의해 완전히 변화했습니다. 왕국의 증거를 부인할 수 없었습니다!

당신 안에 계신 그리스도는 의와 그분의 왕국의 일을 가져오십니다. 이는 변화를 일으키는 실재로, 의롭게 살 수 있는 능력을 나타내고 하나님 왕국의 풍성한 삶을 경험하게 합니다. 할렐루야!

THE KINGDOM VENT FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS 

“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21).

Now that you’re born again, the Kingdom of God is at work and operational in you and through you. You’re a Kingdom vent for righteousness, the outworking of God’s righteousness. 

When Jesus came, He offered the Kingdom to Israel, but they didn’t believe Him; they rejected His message. He then extended the offer to the Gentiles—to all nations. Today, anyone who believes in Jesus Christ has received the Kingdom—a magnificent kingdom! 

In Isaiah 35:5-6, the prophet Isaiah declared, “Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert” (Isaiah 35:5-6). This is a manifestation of the Kingdom. 

It was the understanding of this that made me go preaching in the backside of civilization where there was darkness, pain, and poverty. In those crusades, I’d command blind eyes to open, deaf ears to be unstopped, the mute to speak, and the lame to walk, and they did.  

Knowing that the concluding part of the 6th verse referred to the end of poverty and lack, I’d declare to the crowds that irrespective of their circumstances, they possessed a supernatural life now that Christ was alive in them. They believed and were transformed by the Truth. The evidence of the Kingdom was undeniable!

Christ in you brings forth righteousness and the outworking of His Kingdom. It is a transformational reality that manifests in the ability to live righteously and experience the abundant life of God’s Kingdom. Hallelujah! 

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I thank you for your Kingdom that’s in my heart; your glory and righteousness are in me and revealed through me. I’m the Kingdom vent for righteousness, and the outworking of righteousness. Your Kingdom reigns and is established in the earth, and in the hearts of men as the Gospel is proclaimed around the world today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“도둑이 오는 것은 도둑질하고 죽이고 멸망시키려는 것뿐이나 나는 양들이 생명을 얻고 누리며 풍성하게(최대한으로, 흘러 넘치게) 얻게 하려고 왔다”(요 10:10, 확대번역본)

우리가 그리스도인으로서 스스로 인간이 아니라고 말할 때, 어떤 사람들은 이를 이단으로 여기거나 ‘작은 신’ 신드롬이라고 부르곤 합니다. 우리와 주님의 하나됨, 곧 그분과 우리를 동일시하는 것의 타당성을 의심하는 자들은 예수님께서 이 땅에 오신 이유, 참된 목적에 대한 이해가 부족합니다. 오늘의 본문 구절을 다시 읽어보십시오.

예수님은 단순히 우리를 죄에서 구원하기 위해 이 땅에 오시지 않았습니다. 그것은 최종 목적을 위한 하나의 방법이었습니다. 그렇다면 예수님은 무엇을 위해 오셨습니까? 그분은 우리가 하나님과 교제할 수 있도록 우리에게 생명을 주시기 위해 오셨습니다. 요한복음 5:26은 이렇게 말합니다. “아버지께서 자기 속에 생명이 있음 같이 아들에게도 생명을 주어 그 속에 있게 하셨고.”

생각해 보십시오. 아버지께 생명의 충만함이 있듯이 예수 그리스도께도 생명의 충만함이 있습니다. 예수님은 아버지에게서 생명을 빼앗아 온 것이 아닙니다. 바울이 고린도전서 15:45(새번역)에서 말한 내용을 기억하십시오. “성경에 ‘첫 사람 아담은 산 영이 되었다’고 기록한 바와 같이, 마지막 아담은 생명을 주시는 영이 되셨습니다.” 생명을 주시는 영인 예수님께서 그 동일한 생명을 우리 안에 주셨습니다.

따라서 생명을 주시는 영인 예수님과 같이 당신은 생명을 주는 영입니다. 예수님은 우리에게 생명을 주시고, 우리를 생명을 주는 자로 만드셨습니다. 놀랍지 않습니까? 당신이 나타날 때 생명이 펼쳐집니다. 조금만 나타나는 것이 아니라 충만함으로 가득히 나타납니다.

마태복음 10:8에서 예수님이 우리에게 이 일을 맡기신 것도 당연합니다. “병든 자를 고치며 죽은 자를 살리며 나병환자를 깨끗하게 하며 귀신을 쫓아내되…” 이는 병들고 괴로워하는 사람들에게 손을 얹을 때, 당신 안에 있는 생명이 그들 안으로 옮겨지고 전달되어 그들에게 치유, 온전함, 완전함을 줄 수 있기 때문입니다.

성경은 말합니다. “우리는 그분의 몸과 그분의 살과 그분의 뼈에 속한 지체들이니라.”(엡 5:30, 한글킹제임스) 이 말씀의 중요성에 대해 묵상해 보신 적이 있습니까? 이는 우리가 그분의 몸의 팔과 다리 같은 존재라는 뜻입니다. 바울은 고린도 교회에 보낸 편지에서 이렇게 말했습니다. “너희 몸은 너희가 하나님께로부터 받은 바 너희 가운데 계신 성령의 전인 줄을 알지 못하느냐…”(고전 6:19-20)

고린도전서 12:27은 말합니다. “너희는 그리스도의 몸이요 지체의 각 부분이라.” 당신은 하나님의 신성한 본질의 운반자입니다. 당신을 통해 영생이 나타납니다. 이 진리의 위대함을 깨닫고 이 실재 가운데 사십시오.

HE GAVE US LIFE AND MADE US LIFE-GIVERS 

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)” (John 10:10 AMPC). 

When we say that as Christians, we aren’t mere humans, some might view it as heresy or call it the ‘little god’ syndrome. Those who question the validity of our oneness with the Lord—our sublime identity with Him— lack the understanding of why Jesus came; His true purpose for coming to this world. Read again, the opening verse. 

Jesus didn’t come to merely save us from sin; that was a means to an end. So, what did He come to do? He came to give us life to bring us into fellowship with God. John 5:26 says, “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.” 

Think about that: just as the Father has the fullness of life, so also, Jesus Christ has the fullness of life; He’s not drawing life from the Father. Remember what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:45 NIV: “So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a lifegiving spirit.” Jesus, the life-giving spirit, imparts the same life to us. 

Therefore, just like Jesus, you’re a life-giving spirit. He gave us life and made us life-givers. Isn’t that amazing? When you show up, life is manifested, not in bits, but in its fullness. 

No wonder Jesus charged us in Matthew 10:8, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils….” It’s because when you touch the sick and the afflicted, the life in you is transferred and transfused into them, bringing them healing, wholeness and perfection.

The Bible says, “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones” (Ephesians 5:30). Have you ever contemplated the significance of this statement? It means we are the very limbs of His body. In another of his letter to the Corinthian Church, Paul said, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you…” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). 

In 1 Corinthians 12:27, the Bible says, “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” In other words, you’re the carrier of His divine essence. Eternal life is unveiled to others through you. Grasp the magnitude of this truth and walk in its reality. 

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I thank you for making me a life-distributor, and a dispenser of your blessings. I am your outstretched arm to a hurting and dying world, to heal, bless, and deliver. I’m full of power, even by the Spirit of the Lord, and the glory of God is released into my world through me today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Divine Essence In You

오늘의 본문 구절은 그리스도인들을 위해 쓰였습니다. 그러므로 이 말씀은 당신에 대해 이야기하고 있습니다. 당신 안에는 보물이 있습니다. 당신은 신성한 본질을 지니고 있습니다. 당신은 평범하지 않습니다. 당신에 대한 이 실재를 인식하십시오. 그렇게 할 때 이 말씀이 당신의 삶에서 역사할 것입니다. 성경은 말합니다. “…네 믿음의 교제가 우리 가운데 있는 선을 알게 하고 그리스도께 이르도록 역사하느니라”(몬 1:6)

고백

THE DIVINE ESSENCE IN YOU 

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us”(2 Corinthians 4:7). 

The verse above was written to Christians; so, it’s talking about you; there’s a treasure in you. You carry the divine essence; you’re not ordinary. Acknowledge this about you all the time. That’s how to get it effectual in your life. The Bible says, “…the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” (Philemon 1:6). 

Acknowledge that you’re a bearer or carrier of the divine life; a carrier of God’s divine presence, and as a result, the excellence of His power permeates through you, causing everything you do to prosper. Glory to God! 

The Bible says the mystery of Christianity and the glory thereof is Christ in you (Colossians 1:27). Your life isn’t empty; there’s a treasure in you; a treasure of power, dominion and glory. Your body may be an earthen vessel, but the glory of God is in your spirit, and that glory inundates and perfects your physical body. 

Even now, affirm that through you, the light of God, His glory, power and grace are revealed to your world. Make such proclamations often, because the effectiveness of the Word in your life depends on your response to the Word of God. You’re a God-carrying vessel; a package of divine blessings and treasures. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION 

Christ is in me; His perfection is in my spirit. The life and glory of God are manifested in, and through me. I acknowledge the treasures in my spirit through the Word, and bring them into operation and manifestation with my confessions of faith. In all that I do, I exude excellence, perfection and the Lord’s goodness, kindness, beauty, and grace. Hallelujah.

영생을 가진 자로서 살아가십시오

Live As One Who Has Eternal Life

“내가 하나님의 아들의 이름을 믿는 너희에게 이것을 쓰는 것은 너희로 하여금 너희에게 영생이 있음을 알게 하려 함이라”(요일 5:13)

사도 요한은 오늘의 본문 구절을 통해 하나님의 백성들에게 영생이 있음을 “알게” 합니다. 여기서 사용된 “알게 하다”라는 단어는 그리스어 “에이도(eido)”에서 번역되었으며, 어떤 주제에 대해 지식이나 인식이 있는 것을 의미합니다.

이는 당신이 영생을 소유하고 있다는 사실에 대한 이해와 확신을 뜻합니다. 슬프게도 적은 수의 그리스도인들이 자신이 영생을 가지고 있음을 알고 있습니다. 그래서 어떤 이들은 영생을 위해 기도하고, 어떤 이들은 금식기도까지 하며, 어떤 이들은 영생을 받기를 소망하고 있습니다. 심지어 몇몇 사람들은 이 영생을 오직 천국에서만 누릴 수 있다고 생각합니다. 그렇지 않습니다!

영생은 단순한 약속이나 미래의 기대가 아닙니다. 거듭났을 때, 영생이 당신의 영에 주어졌고, 그 즉시 하나님의 아버지됨을 알게 되었습니다. 영생은 하나님과 같은 생명입니다. 이것은 초자연적인 생명이며 패배할 수 없고 오염될 수 없는 생명입니다.

누군가의 몸에 종양이 자라고 있다면, 영생을 얻은 후에 그 종양은 죽어 사라져야 합니다. 증가하는 지식과 그리스도 몸 안에 주어지는 하나님의 말씀으로 인해 하나님께 감사드립니다! 많은 그리스도인들이 점점 더 우리 안에 있는 이 신성한 생명의 본질, 중요성, 영향을 배우고 있습니다!

문제가 닥칠 때 당신이 누구이며 그리스도 안에서 당신이 무엇을 가지고 있는지에 대한 지식의 관점에서 문제를 다루십시오. 당신은 썩지 않고, 불멸하며, 영원한 기쁨과 평화가 있고, 영광이 가득한 영역에 살고 있습니다. 당신은 사탄과 그의 마귀들과 이 세상의 요소들을 지배하고 다스립니다. 할렐루야!

LIVE AS ONE WHO HAS ETERNAL LIFE 

“I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13 NIV).

The Apostle John’s emphasis in our opening verse above is for God’s people to “know” that they have eternal life. The word “know” is translated from the Greek word, “eido” and it refers to having knowledge or awareness of something. 

It signifies the understanding and certainty of the fact that you possess eternal life. Sadly, not many Christians know that they have eternal life. So, they pray for it, some even fast for it, and others hope to receive it. Some others even think they can only enjoy this God-life in heaven, no! 

Eternal life isn’t a mere promise or a future expectation. When you were born again, eternal life was imparted to your human spirit, and at once, you were awakened to the Fatherhood of God. Eternal life is the God-life; it’s the transcendent life. It’s indomitable and uninfectable.  

If someone had a tumour growing in his or her body, upon receiving eternal life, that tumour should die and dematerialize. Thank God for the teaching of His Word and the increased knowledge in the Body of Christ! Many are becoming more aware of the essence, import and impact of this divine life in us!  

When troubles strike, deal with them from the perspective of your knowledge of who you are and what you have in Christ. You live in the realm of incorruptibility, immortality, everlasting joy, peace and glory; reigning and ruling over Satan, his demons and the elements of this world. Hallelujah! 

Have that consciousness every day of your life. Live and think as someone who has eternal life. It doesn’t matter the troubles you face in this world, the solution is within you. Blessed be God!

CONFESSION 

I walk and function in the consciousness that my spirit has been imparted with eternal life—the God-type of life! Therefore, I live in the realm of incorruptibility, immortality, everlasting joy, peace and glory; reigning and ruling over Satan, his demons and the elements of this world. Amen.

Passionate About His Mandate

“내가 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라 먼저는 유대인에게요 그리고 헬라인에게로다”(롬 1:16)

저는 청소년 시절에 예수 그리스도의 메시지와 그분의 구원 능력에 대해 모든 사람과 나누고 싶었습니다. 저는 강한 마음으로 병든 자와 고통 당하는 자를 위해 심히 울며, 또 잃어버린 자를 구원하기 위해 기도했습니다. 기도할 때마다 저는 종종 이런 생각을 했습니다. “어떻게 하면 그들에게 다가갈 수 있을까? 그들을 위해 어떤 일을 더 할 수 있을까?”

이 불타오르는 갈망으로 인해 저는 집집마다 문을 두드리고 복음을 전했습니다. 어떤 사람들은 화를 내며 다시는 오지 말라고 경고했지만, 저는 굴하지 않고 병원과 학교를 방문했고, 버스나 택시 등 사람들이 모이는 곳이라면 어디든 가서 말씀을 전했습니다.

제가 하고 싶었던 전부는 예수 그리스도에 대해 들어보지 못한 사람들에게 그리스도를 전하고, 복음을 모르는 사람들에게 가는 것이었습니다. 하지만 그것으로 충분하지 않다고 느꼈습니다. 그래서 제 친구들이 이 일에 동참하도록 동기부여를 했습니다. 저는 친구들에게 나가서 말씀을 전하자 했고, 우리는 실제로 그 일을 했습니다. 그럼에도 아직 무엇인가 부족했습니다. 우리는 여기저기서 집회를 열었습니다. 그래도 충분하지 않았습니다.

설교를 하면 할수록 저는 더더욱 복음이 전해지지 않은 많은 사람들에게 다가가 그들을 흑암의 왕국에서 하나님의 사랑의 아들의 왕국으로 데려가야 할 강한 필요성을 깨달았습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “… 이 천국 복음이 모든 민족에게 증언되기 위하여 온 세상에 전파되리니 그제야 끝이 오리라.”(마 24:14)

위 구절은 예수님의 말씀입니다. 저는 그 말씀을 개인적인 말씀으로 받아들였습니다. 당신에게도 그래야 합니다. 그 말씀은 복음을 위해 더 많은 일을 하려는 당신의 원동력이 되어야 합니다. 복음을 전파하는 일에 열정을 가지십시오. 당신의 지역뿐 아니라 다른 지역에도 복음을 전파하십시오. 주님의 명령을 진지하게 받아들이십시오. 예수님께서는 말씀하셨습니다. “…너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라.”(막 16:15)

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나는 화해의 사역자로서의 나의 부르심을 인식하고 있습니다. 나는 주님의 말씀으로 휘저어지며 영감을 받으며 잃어버린 자들의 문제를 해결하는 자로 살도록 동기부여 됩니다. 나는 오늘 이 땅의 어둠 가운데 있던 많은 사람들의 눈이 복음의 빛으로 열리도록 기도합니다. 또한 그들이 어둠에서 빛으로 옮겨지고, 하나님의 아들의 영광스러운 자유에 이르도록 기도합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”(Romans 1:16).

As a teenager, I was compelled to share the message of Jesus Christ and His saving power with everyone. I would pray with a resolute heart, wailing and travailing in prayer for the sick, the afflicted, and crying out for the salvation of the lost. In my prayer times, I often thought, “How can we reach them? What more can we do?”

This burning desire led me to hit the streets, going from house to house, and from door to door, preaching the Gospel. Some people got furious and warned me never to return. But I was undeterred. I visited hospitals and schools, preaching wherever I could—in buses, taxis, and any place where people gathered. 

All I wanted to do was to tell the untold about Jesus Christ and reach the unreached. Yet, it never felt like enough. I sought to motivate my friends to join me in this endeavour. I would talk to them about going out to preach, and we did. Still, it felt insufficient. We organised crusades, from place to place. But even then, it didn’t seem enough. 

The more I preached, the more I realized the immense need to reach the unreached and snatch many out the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s Love-Son. The Bible says, “…This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14). 

Those are the words of Jesus; they were personal to me. They must be personal to you. They must be your motivation to do more for the Gospel. Be passionate about spreading the message of the Gospel, not just in your catchment but also to the regions beyond. Take the Lord’s mandate seriously: He said, “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I’m conscious of my calling as a minister of reconciliation, stirred and inspired by the words of the Lord, and motivated by the plight of the lost. I pray that today, the eyes of many around the world, who are in darkness will be open to the light of the Gospel, and they be turned from darkness to light, and into the glorious liberty of the sons of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Affirm The Word With Confidence

“하나님이 우리에게 주신 것은 두려워하는 마음이 아니요 오직 능력과 사랑과 절제하는 마음이니”(딤후 1:7)

오늘의 본문 구절은 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 것과 주시지 않은 것을 분명하게 보여줍니다. 하나님은 우리에게 두려움, 소심함, 혹은 겁쟁이의 영을 주신 것이 아니라, 능력과 사랑과 절제하는 마음의 영을 주셨습니다. 이것이 당신의 실재라고 자주 선포하십시오.

무엇이든 이해하거나 기억하는 것이 어렵다고 말하지 마십시오. 절대 멍청하다고 말하지 마십시오. 오히려 뛰어난 이해력과 남다른 명석함을 가지고 있으며, 재치와 지성을 겸비했다고 말하십시오. 당신은 성령으로 말미암아 놀라운 이해력과 탁월한 생각을 가지고 있습니다. 스스로에 대해 자주 그렇게 말하십시오.

더해서, 두려움을 말하지 마십시오. 어떤 사람들은 현 시대에는 두려움에 대해 말하는 것이 좋다고 말하지만, 그리스도인은 두려워하도록 만들어지지 않았습니다. 우리는 믿음의 피조물입니다. 두려움의 언어를 삼가고, 언제나 믿음을 말하십시오. 담대하게 말하십시오. 당신은 하나님으로부터 태어났습니다. 그러므로 당신의 삶에는 두려움이 있을 곳이 없습니다. 확신과 담대함으로 믿음의 말씀을 선포하십시오.

기도

AFFIRM THE WORD WITH CONFIDENCE 

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

In our opening verse, it’s clear what God hasn’t given to us, and what He has given us: He’s not given us the spirit of fear, cowardice or timidity. Rather, He’s given us the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Every so often, declare this as the reality of your life. 

Never express difficulties in comprehending or retaining anything. Never confess dullness of the mind; rather, affirm that you possess an extraordinary amplitude of comprehension and exceptional intellect, marked by wit and intelligence. You have an expansive understanding and brilliance of mind through the Holy Spirit. Say this often of yourself.  

Also, don’t build vocabulary around forgetfulness. Don’t say, “O, I just forgot; what a forgetful me!” No! You have a sound mind; a mind that retains and recalls information effectively. You have a sharp memory and firm capacity to remember important details, experiences, and knowledge. Your mental acuity and your cognitive abilities are top notch. That’s what the Word says about you. 

Furthermore, don’t express fear. Some think it’s fashionable to talk fear, but the Christian isn’t built to fear. We’re creatures of faith. Eschew the language of fear and talk faith always. Talk bold. You’re born of God, therefore, fear has no place in your life. Proclaim the Word of faith with conviction and confidence. 

CONFESSION 

Dear Father, I boldly vocalize my faith and not the limitations. I declare that I’m perceptive, astute, and smart; imbued with an extraordinary amplitude of comprehension. I’m confident, bold, and courageous; I have an exceptional intellect, marked by wit and intelligence, in Jesus Name. Amen.
