그분의 완전한 뜻 안에서 사는 삶

LIVING IN HIS PERFECT WILL

“너희는 이 세대에 동화되지 말고 오직 너희 생각을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 받으실 만하며 완전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 입증하도록 하라.”(롬12:2, 한글흠정역)

성경은 하나님의 세 가지 뜻, 즉 선하신 뜻, 받으실 만한 혹은 허락하실 만한 뜻, 완전하신 뜻에 대해 말합니다(롬12:2). 하나님의 선하신 뜻은 그분의 일반적인 뜻입니다. 하나님의 받으실 만한 뜻은 그분이 허락하시는 뜻입니다. 그것보다 더 좋은 뜻이 없어서가 아니라 당신이 그것을 고집하기 때문입니다. 자신이 구한 것이 그를 향한 하나님의 완전하신 뜻이 아니었음에도 불구하고 하나님께서 허락하신 경우가 있습니다. 하나님이 그렇게 하실 때도 있습니까?

당연히 있습니다! 성경을 통해 확인할 수 있습니다. 사무엘상 8:1-22에서 이스라엘 백성들은 다른 민족들처럼 되고 싶었기 때문에 왕을 구했습니다. 사무엘 선지자는 그들의 요구가 이스라엘 백성들을 향한 하나님의 계획과 반대되었으므로 그 요구를 거절했습니다.

그러나 이스라엘 백성들이 끈질기게 요청했기 때문에 하나님께서는 사무엘에게 그분의 백성들이 요구한대로 행할 것을 지시하셨습니다. 그분께서는 사무엘에게 다음과 같이 말씀하셨습니다. “… 백성이 네게 한 말을 다 들으라 이는 그들이 너를 버림이 아니요 나를 버려 자기들의 왕이 되지 못하게 함이니라”(삼상8:7) 생각해 보십시오. 비록 그것이 이스라엘 백성들을 향한 하나님의 완전한 뜻은 아니었지만, 하나님께서는 여전히 그들이 왕을 선택하도록 도우셨습니다.

안타깝게도 하나님의 완전하신, 받으실 만한, 선하신 뜻 밖에서 살아가는 사람들이 있습니다. 그들이 다녔던 학교, 그들이 공부했던 전공, 그들의 커리어와 사업, 그들이 살았던 도시 등 그들의 모든 선택들은 상황에 따라 이루어졌기 때문에 그들은 상황에 좌지우지되는 삶을 삽니다. 이것은 하나님의 백성들을 향한 하나님의 갈망이 아닙니다.

당신의 삶을 향한 하나님의 완전한 뜻을 어떻게 알고 그 안에서 살 수 있습니까? 하나님의 말씀을 아는 지식과 성령님과 교제를 통해 할 수 있습니다. 하나님의 뜻이 표현된 것이 바로 하나님의 말씀입니다. 말씀을 공부하고 성령님과 교제하는 시간을 보낸다면, 당신은 모든 지혜와 영적 지각 안에서 그분의 뜻을 아는 지식으로 충만케 됩니다.

당신의 삶의 결정들에 대해 주님께 말씀드리십시오. 그분은 당신의 삶에 관한 모든 것에 관심이 있으십니다. 당신이 처음으로 이 진리에 대해 배우고 당신의 길이 무엇인지 확신하지 못할 수도 있습니다. 하나님께서는 당신을 향한 완전한 뜻을 가지고 계시다는 것을 아는 것이 중요합니다. 당신을 향한 그분의 뜻은 탁월한 삶입니다.

모든 응답을 갖고 계신 그분께 돌이키기에 너무 늦은 시기란 없습니다. 그분의 말씀의 변화시키는 능력에 자신을 완전히 내어드리십시오. 그러면 당신은 확실하게 “하나님의 선하시고 받으실 만하며 완전하신 뜻”을 분별하게 될 것입니다.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나는 당신의 영에 일치하여 행하고, 내 삶을 향한 당신의 완벽한 계획을 따릅니다. 그러므로 나를 향한 당신의 뜻 안에서 내가 필요한 모든 것은 적시에 공급됩니다. 나는 탁월한 선택을 내리도록 성령님의 인도를 받고 당신의 완전한 뜻과 신성한 목적과 일치하는 행동을 취합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

LIVING IN HIS PERFECT WILL

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”(Romans 12:2).

The Bible tells us about the good, the acceptable or permissive will, and the perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). The good will of God is His general will. The acceptable will of God is one that He allows, not because there’s nothing better, but because of your insistence on it. There’re people that God granted what they were asking for even though it wasn’t His perfect will for them. Can God do that? Emphatically yes! It’s in the Bible. In 1 Samuel 8:1-22, the Israelites asked for a king because they wanted to be like other nations. Samuel the Prophet refused because it was contrary to God’s plan for His people.

But following their importunity, God had to instruct Samuel to do as the people had demanded. He said to Samuel, “…Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them” (1 Samuel 8:7). Think about it: God still helped them select the king, even though it wasn’t His perfect will for them to have one.

Sadly, there’re people who live outside of the perfect, the acceptable, and the good will of God. The school they attended, the course they studied, their career or business, the city they live in, etc., all their decisions were circumstantial, and as such, they live circumstantial lives. This isn’t God’s desire for His children.

How do you know and walk in God’s perfect will for your life? It’s through the knowledge of His Word and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is the will of God expressed. Through studying the Word and spending time in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, you become filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.

Talk to the Lord about your life’s decisions. He’s interested in everything about your life. Perhaps you’re learning of this truth for the first time and you’re unsure what your path is, it’s important for you to know that God has a perfect will for you. His will for you is an excellent life.

It’s not too late to turn to Him who has all answers. Yield yourself completely to the transforming power of His Word and surely, you’ll “…discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2 ESV).

PRAYER

Dear Father, I’m walking in sync with your Spirit and following your perfect plan for my life. Everything I require within the ambits of your will for me is supplied at the right time. I’m guided by the Spirit to make excellent decisions and take inspired actions which are in sync with your perfect will and divine purpose, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU

오늘의 본문 구절은 아름다운 말씀입니다. 저는 당신이 이 구절 안에 담긴 축복을 놓치지 않길 바랍니다. 따라서, 이 구절을 다시 한번 크게 읽고, 집중하여 묵상하십시오. 하나님의 영은 이 구절을 통해 예수 그리스도를 믿는 곧 그리스도 예수 안에서 구원을 받은 모든 사람에게 말씀하십니다.

GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”(Ephesians 2:10).

Today’s opening scripture is a beautiful one, and I don’t want you to miss the blessing in it. Therefore, read it again aloud, carefully and meditatively. Here, the Spirit of God is talking to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ, everyone who has received the salvation in Christ Jesus.

I want you to reckon that God is speaking to you right now, because He truly is. I love the AMPC rendering of the same scripture: “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]” (Ephesians 2:10 AMPC).

You’re God’s workmanship, His handicraft, His design, His craftsmanship. That means God has His brand on you; that’s the proof of your authentication. This is the greatest and best brand in the universe. You should never think failure or defeat. You’re too sublime to fail; too excellent to be under. And that’s not all.

The next thing He tells you is, “…that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us….” This means your life isn’t an accident; God prearranged it. He wants you living the good life which He prearranged. He planned a good life for you, right here on earth; it’s yours to live NOW.

There’re people who live in the wrong place, they went to the wrong school, they have the wrong friends, and some are in the wrong job or business. Why? They took a path that’s different from the path that God prearranged for them. But God has a plan for you; you’re set on course by God; follow His master plan through the Word. Blessed be God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the full, deep and clear knowledge of your thoughts, plans, will and purposes for my life. I’m at the centre of your perfect will, and I walk in the paths which you prepared ahead of time, living the good life which you prearranged and made ready for me to live, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

탁월한 열매를 맺는 나무

A TREE BEARING EXCELLENT FRUITS

“다니엘은 마음이 민첩하여 총리들과 고관들 위에 뛰어나므로 왕이 그를 세워 전국을 다스리게 하고자 한지라”(단6:3)

성경은 다니엘에게 탁월한 영이 있었다고 말합니다. 당신에 대해서도 그렇게 말한다면 어떨 것 같습니까? 사실 당신에게도 탁월한 영이 있습니다. 당신이 자신의 삶에 성령님을 받아들인 날, 탁월한 영이 당신 안에 살기 위해 오셨기 때문입니다.

이 탁월한 영은 당신이 삶에서 그분의 방법을 따라 살기로 선택하고, 성경을 그분의 참되고 완전한 뜻으로 받아들이며 말씀을 따라 살 때 당신 안에 나타납니다. 당신은 이내 모든 사람들이 존중할 만한 사람들로 보이게 될 것입니다. 당신이 이 진리를 깨닫는다면, 당신에 관한 모든 것이 최고가 될 것입니다. 당신의 삶은 그리스도의 완전함을 나타내게 될 것입니다.

다니엘은 총리들과 고관들보다 뛰어났습니다. 그들에게는 탁월한 영이 없었기 때문입니다. 오히려 그들은 원망하고 불평하는 영을 가지고 있었습니다. 그들은 왕이 다니엘에게 항상 호의를 베푸는 것을 보고 기분이 상했습니다. 그래서 그들은 악한 마음을 가지고 다니엘에 대한 음모를 꾸몄습니다.

그분께서 탁월한 열매를 어떻게 묘사하셨는지 보십시오. 그분께서는 탁월한 열매에 대해 존경받을 만하다고 말씀하셨습니다. 정말 놀랍습니다! 당신의 삶은 어떻습니까? 존경받을 만합니까? 모든 사람이 당신같이 된다면 당신은 기쁠 것 같습니까? 만일 당신이 사람들을 대하는 방식 그대로 그들이 당신을 대한다면, 당신은 그것이 마음에 듭니까?

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 오늘 내 삶 가운데 있는 성령님의 특별한 사역에 감사드립니다. 내 안에서 탁월한 성품을 만들어 내는 탁월한 영을 주셨습니다. 그러므로 원망, 분노, 시기는 내 삶에 자리할 수 없습니다. 그리스도의 탁월한 성품이 내 안에 나타나며, 나의 행동과 말과 하는 모든 일에서 분명하게 보여집니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A TREE BEARING EXCELLENT FRUITS

“Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm”(Daniel 6:3).

The Bible says an excellent spirit was in Daniel. How would you like that to be said of you? Well, the same is true about you because the day you received the Holy Spirit into your life, the excellent Spirit came to live in you.

This excellent Spirit is manifested in you when you choose to let Him have His way in your life and when you accept the Scriptures as His real and perfect will and live accordingly. You’ll suddenly discover that everyone will be esteemed in your eyes. When you’re awakened to this truth, everything about you becomes top-class; your life becomes an expression of the perfections of Christ.

Daniel excelled above the presidents and satraps because they didn’t have an excellent spirit; rather, they had a bitter and complaining spirit. They saw that the king was always favourable towards Daniel and it hurt them, so they conspired against him out of bitterness.

When people who don’t have an excellent spirit see others being praised, promoted and commended, they get hurt. In Matthew 7:18, the Lord Jesus said, “A good (healthy) tree cannot bear bad (worthless) fruit, nor can a bad (diseased) tree bear excellent fruit [worthy of admiration]” (AMPC).

Notice how He described an excellent fruit; He said it’s worthy of admiration. That’s amazing! What’s your life like? Is it worthy of admiration? If everyone turned out like you, will you be happy? If people behaved towards you the way you behave towards others, would you like it?

Let your life be a manifestation of the Spirit of excellence in you. Tower above envy, bitterness, anger and all the negativities of life, because you’re an excellent tree bearing excellent fruits: “Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit” (John 15:2 AMPC).

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the special ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life today; you’ve given me an excellent spirit that produces in me an excellent character. Therefore, bitterness, anger and envy have no place in my life. Christ’s nature of excellence is manifested in me, and evident in my walk, talk, and everything I do, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

말씀을 먹으십시오

FEEDING ON THE WORD

“너희는 우리의 편지라 우리 마음에 썼고 뭇 사람이 알고 읽는 바라 너희는 우리로 말미암아 나타난 그리스도의 편지니 이는 먹으로 쓴 것이 아니요 오직 살아 계신 하나님의 영으로 쓴 것이며 또 돌판에 쓴 것이 아니요 오직 육의 마음판에 쓴 것이라”(고후3:2-3)

기독교는 하나님의 말씀을 공부하고 묵상하는 것에 대해 강조합니다. 말씀 공부와 묵상이 당신의 삶에서 지속적으로 증가시키는 영광 때문입니다. 하나님의 영광은 말씀 안에 있습니다. 그리고 그 영광은 당신이 의식적으로 계속해서 말씀을 먹을 때 당신의 삶에서 더욱 뚜렷하게 나타납니다.

성경은 말합니다. “너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아…”(롬12:2) 고린도후서 3:18은 말합니다. “우리가 다 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 거울을 보는 것 같이 주의 영광을 보매 그와 같은 형상으로 변화하여 영광에서 영광에 이르니 곧 주의 영으로 말미암음이니라” 이 구절들은 우리가 말씀을 묵상할 때 우리의 영 안에서 계속해서 증가하는 영광을 강조합니다.

만일 당신이 하나님의 말씀을 공부하고, 묵상하고, 행하는 일에 온전히 집중하지 않는다면, 당신은 하나님의 영광이 당신의 삶 가운데 나타나는 것을 방해하는 것입니다. 이런 일들은 사람들이 인지하지도 못하는 채 종종 일어납니다. 그들은 하나님의 말씀이 아닌 여러 부정적인 출처에서 나온 뉴스와 정보에 스스로를 노출시킵니다.

당신이 먹는 것이 곧 당신이 어떤 사람인지를 정의한다는 사실을 기억하십시오. 당신은 점점 더 자신이 먹는 정보와 같아집니다. 하나님의 말씀은 하나님의 영광입니다. 그러므로 하나님의 말씀을 먹으십시오. 그러면 당신의 삶은 점점 더 탁월해지고 영광으로 충만해질 것입니다. 골로새서 3:16은 말합니다. “그리스도의 말씀이 너희 속에 풍성히 거하여 모든 지혜로 피차 가르치며 권면하고 시와 찬송과 신령한 노래를 부르며 감사하는 마음으로 하나님을 찬양하고”

하나님의 말씀을 하나님의 비전, 의견, 생각, 아이디어, 법칙 혹은 원칙으로 받아들이십시오. 그 무엇보다 말씀을 진리, 즉 절대적인 실재로 받아들이십시오. 당신이 생각하고 말하는 모든 것이 말씀이도록 말씀으로 가득 찬 상태가 되십시오. 바로 그것이 점점 더 증가하는 영광의 삶으로 가는 확실한 길입니다.

고백

나는 은혜와 주 예수 그리스도를 아는 지식 안에서 자라가고 있습니다. 내 삶은 말씀과 분리되어 있지 않습니다. 말씀이 나의 근원이기 때문입니다. 말씀은 내 영이 믿음과 소망과 사랑으로 가득 차 있게 합니다. 내 삶은 말씀을 통해 날마다 승리하도록 준비됩니다. 나는 어떤 상황에서도 항상 승리합니다. 아멘.

FEEDING ON THE WORD

“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart”(2 Corinthians 3:2-3).

In Christianity, we emphasize studying and meditating on God’s Word because of what it produces in your life: ever-increasing glory! That’s what your life is for. The glory of God is in the Word, and that glory becomes more visible in your life as you consciously and consistently feed on the Word.

The Bible says, “…Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Romans 12:2). 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” These verses emphasize the ever-increasing glory in our spirit as we contemplate the Word.

If you don’t give undivided attention to the study, meditation, and practise of God’s Word, you inhibit His glory in your life. This has happened to some people without them even realizing it. They exposed themselves to news and information from negative sources other than the Word of God.

Remember, you’re what you eat; you become more and more like the information that you feed on. The Word of God is the glory of God; therefore, feed on the Word and your life will be increasingly excellent and full of glory. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Take the Word of God as God’s vision, opinion, thought, idea, law or principle. Above all, take His Word as truth—absolute reality. Be inundated with the Word so that all you think and talk is the Word. That’s the sure path to a life of ever-increasing glory.

CONFESSION

I’m growing in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. My life isn’t separate from the Word, because the Word of God is my source; it makes my spirit buoyant with faith, hope and love. Through the Word, my life is conditioned for victory every day such that no matter the circumstances, I’m triumphant always. Amen.

우리는 출애굽기 30:7-8에서 하나님께서 아론에게 하신 명령을 통해 성소 안에서 제사장들의 사역을 볼 수 있습니다. 하나님께서는 다음과 같이 말씀하셨습니다. “아론은 매일 아침 그 위에서 향기로운 향을 사르되 등들을 손질할 때 그위에다 향을 피울지니라. 또 아론은 저녁에 등불을 켤 때에 그 위에 향을 피울지니 이는 너희 대대에 걸쳐 주 앞에 영속적인 향이라.”

그분께서 등불이 항상 켜져 있어야 한다고 말씀하신 것에 주목하십시오. 그리고 저녁과 아침에 등불을 켤 때 반드시 향을 피워야 한다고 말씀하셨습니다. 이는 구약 시대에 성소 안에서 행해지는 제사장의 사역에 관한 아주 구체적인 지시입니다.

오늘의 본문 구절을 한글킹제임스 번역본으로 보도록 하겠습니다. “한 성막이 마련되어 첫째 부분에는 촛대와 상과 차려 놓은 빵들이 있는데 그곳을 성소라 불렀고”(히9:2) 그 성소 안에는 빵(진설병: 빵이 올려진 제단), 촛대(메노라: 여러 갈래로 나뉜 큰 촛대), 휘장 바로 앞에 있는 분향단이 있습니다. 이것들은 성소 안에 있던 세 가지 물품들이었습니다. 그렇다면 오늘날 우리에게 이를 어떻게 적용할 수 있습니까?

“빵”은 말씀 공부와 묵상입니다. 그분의 임재의 빵이라고도 불린 “진설병”은 오직 제사장들만 먹었던 것을 기억해보십시오(레8:31,24:8). 또한 성경은 우리가 “왕과 제사장”이 되었다고 말합니다(계1:6). 하나님께 우리는 거룩한 제사장입니다. 그러므로 우리는 말씀에 대한 우리의 묵상을 나타내는 ”그분의 임재의 빵”을 먹을 자격이 있습니다.

MINISTERING IN THE SANCTUARY

“For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary”(Hebrews 9:2).

In the Old Testament, from the instructions God gave to Aaron in Exodus 30:7-8, we observe the ministry of the priests in the sanctuary. He said that the lamps must be perpetually on; and when lighting them in the evening, and in the morning, he must burn incense. These were very specific instructions concerning the priests’ ministry in the sanctuary under the Old Testament.

Now, reading our theme verse in the New International Version, it says, “A tabernacle was set up. In its first room were the lampstand, the table and the consecrated bread; this was called the Holy Place.” In that sanctuary, we’ve got three things: the bread (table of shewbread), the candlestick (the Menorah), and just before the veil, the altar of incense. These were the three articles of furniture in the Holy Place. How does this apply to us today?

The “bread” is our study and meditation on the Word. Recall that the “shewbread,” which is also referred to as the Bread of His presence, was eaten only by the priests (Leviticus 8:31, Leviticus 24:8). And the Bible says we’ve been made “kings and priests unto God” (Revelation 1:6); we’re holy priesthood unto God. Therefore, we’re qualified to eat the “Bread of His presence,” which represents our meditation on the Word.

The second thing in that sanctuary every day was the lamp of the Spirit. God said to Aaron, “…When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick” (Numbers 8:2). This represents the seven spirits of God: “And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God” (Revelation 4:5). This refers to the fullness of the Spirit; our fellowship and continual infilling of the Spirit. You’re to maintain that fullness of the Spirit every day; study Ephesians 5:18-21; it shows you how.

The third thing in that sanctuary was the altar of incense, which signifies the prayer ministry of the saints: “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice” (Psalm 141:2). This refers to our prayer of worship, praise, thanksgiving and intercession. Today, you’re that sanctuary, and in the sanctuary, it’s about these three things: the Word, the Spirit, and prayer. Meditate on the Word every day; be ever-filled with the Spirit; and pray always.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of my ministry in your sanctuary. As I give myself to prayer, the study of and meditation on the Word, being constantly filled with the Spirit, I win always. Your Spirit is at work in me, and I have ever-increasing grace for ever-increasing ministry, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE INWARD WITNESS

세상은 복음 전파에 대한 우리의 열정을 감당하지 못합니다. 그 열정은 세상을 괴롭힙니다. “어떻게 사람들이 예수님에 대해 그렇게 열정적일 수 있습니까?” 이에 대해 세상은 의아해합니다. 그러나 세상은 사람들이 보통 자신의 종교에 대해 열정적이라는 전제 하에 그 열정을 흔들려고 합니다. 세상은 우리의 열정이 다르다는 것을 알지 못합니다. 우리의 열정은 열정 그 이상입니다.

그리스도인을 세상의 종교인들과 비교하려면 (기독교는 종교가 아닙니다.), 세 가지를 살펴보아야 합니다. 첫 번째는 종교인들의 열정과 실제로 비교해 볼 수 있는 우리의 열정입니다. 두 번째는 확신입니다. 세상의 종교들도 우리가 가지는 확신만큼 확신을 가질 수 있습니다. 그러나 우리는 가졌지만 세상의 종교에는 없고 또 절대 가질 수도 없는 것이 있습니다. 바로 우리 안에 있는 증거입니다. 할렐루야!

우리는 우리 영 안에 예수님에 대한 증거를 가지고 있습니다! 이것이 우리가 오늘의 본문 구절에서 읽은 내용입니다. “성령이 친히 우리의 영과 함께 우리가 하나님의 자녀임을 증거하시거니와” 그러므로 우리가 예수 그리스도를 위해 살 때 그저 우리가 열정적이라서 그런 것이 아닙니다. 우리는 그저 그분의 메시지를 확신하기 때문에 복음을 전하는 것이 아닙니다. 오히려 예수님이 길이고 진리이고 생명이시며 그분을 말미암지 않고는 그 누구도 아버지께로 갈 수 없다는 증거를 우리 안에 가지고 있기 때문입니다.

우리는 이제 우리가 하나님의 아들이라는 증거를 영 안에 가지고 있습니다. 심령 깊은 곳으로부터 우리는 우리가 하나님과 교제하고, 성령님이 안에 계시고, 우리가 거듭났다는 것을 알고 있습니다! 이것들은 추정이 아니라 실제이며, 우리 영 안에 있는 현재의 실재입니다. 우리는 “내부 정보”를 가지고 있습니다. 그 지식은 우리 안에서 성령으로 말미암아 만들어졌습니다. 우리는 하나님으로부터 났고 영원히 승리합니다.

우리는 다릅니다. 우리가 가진 것은 종교 그 이상이며 기독교는 종교가 아닙니다. 사람들이 자신의 종교에 대해 얼마나 열정적이고 확신이 있든지 상관없이 그 어떤 종교에도 구원은 없습니다. 예수 그리스도의 복음만이 세상을 위한 유일한 구원의 메시지입니다. 그리고 하나님께 감사드립니다! 우리는 하나님께서 구원하시고, 치유하시고, 보호하시고, 구출하시고, 지키시고, 번영케 하시는 이 권능의 메시지의 청지기입니다. 우리는 그분의 증인입니다. 할렐루야!

THE INWARD WITNESS

“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God”(Romans 8:16 NKJV).

Our passion for preaching the Gospel is one thing that the world can’t stand; it troubles them. “How can people be so passionate about Jesus?” they wonder. But then, they try to wave it off on the premise that people are generally passionate about their religion. What they don’t realize is that ours is different; it’s more than a passion.

When comparing Christians with the religious people of the world (Christianity isn’t a religion), there’re three things to look at: the first is our passion, which can actually be compared with theirs. Then there’s also conviction: the religions of the world may have as much conviction as we do; but there’s something that we have that they don’t have and could never have: the inward witness. Hallelujah!

We have a witness within our spirit about Jesus! That’s what we read in our theme verse; it says, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God.” So, when we’re standing for Jesus Christ, we’re not just standing because we’re passionate; we’re not preaching the Gospel just because we’re convinced of His message. Rather, it’s because we have a witness within our spirit that truly, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, except by Him (John 14:6).

We have the witness in our spirit that now are we the sons of God. Deep down in our hearts, we know that we’re in fellowship with God and we have the Holy Spirit, and that we’re born again! These aren’t assumptions but vital and present-hour realities in our spirit. We have “inside information”, knowledge produced in us by the Holy Spirit that we’re born of God and forever victorious.

We’re different. What we have is not a religion. No matter how passionate and convinced people may be about their religion, there’s no salvation in any religion. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only saving message for the world. And thanks be unto God! We’re the custodians of this message of power by which God saves, heals, protects, delivers, preserves and prospers. We’re His witnesses. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for making me a custodian of the Gospel of Christ; I pray that many who are yet to receive salvation will hear and receive the Gospel today, and be instantly transferred from the domain of darkness into the glorious liberty of the sons of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

영생은 불멸을 가져왔습니다

“공의로운 길에 생명이 있나니 그 길에는 사망이 없느니라”(잠12:28)

우리는 어제 말씀의 실재를 통해 영생이 우리에게 노쇠하지 않는 삶을 준 것을 배웠습니다. 그리고 오늘 말씀의 실재를 통해서는 우리는 영생이 더 대단한 것, 즉 불멸을 가져왔음을 볼 것입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절은 “의의 길에는 생명이 있고 그 길에는 사망이 없느니라”고 선포합니다.

노쇠하지 않는 삶과 불멸에는 차이가 있습니다. 노쇠하지 않는 삶은 늙지 않고 끝없이 성장하는 삶을 의미하지만, 불멸은 죽음의 여지조차 완전히 제거한 삶을 의미합니다.

육신에 속한 한 사람의 생명은 “모태에서 무덤까지”로 설정되어 있습니다. 다시 말해, 그는 죽을 수 있는 생명을 가지고 태어납니다. 그의 인생에 걸쳐 자신을 살리고 죽음을 피하기 위한 모든 일을 하지만, 결국 그는 죽음의 저주를 받았으므로 죽음에 굴복하게 됩니다.

그러나 당신이 거듭나고 하나님의 생명과 본성을 자신 안에 가지고 있다면 상황은 달라집니다. 당신은 필멸의 삶에서 불멸의 삶으로 옮겨졌습니다. “그러나 이제는 우리 구주 예수 그리스도의 나타나심으로 그것이 드러났으니, 그는 죽음을 폐기하시고 복음을 통하여 생명과 불멸을 밝히셨느니라.”(딤후1:10, 한글킹제임스)

그리스도 안에서 당신은 영생을 가지고 있으므로 죽을 수 있는 상태가 아닙니다. 이제 당신은 마가복음 16:18에 나오는 예수님의 말씀을 더 잘 이해할 수 있습니다. “뱀을 집어올리며 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 아니하며…” 여기서 “독”은 치명적이거나 사망에 이르게 하는 것들을 말합니다. 하지만 예수님은 이러한 것들이 당신을 다치게 하거나 해칠 수 없다고 말씀하셨습니다. 왜 그렇습니까? 바로 영생 때문입니다!

사랑의 사도 요한은 이렇게 썼습니다. “내가 하나님의 아들의 이름을 믿는 너희에게 이런 것들을 씀은 너희에게 영생이 있음을 알게 하려 함이며…”(요일5:13, 한글킹제임스) 하나님께서는 당신이 영생을 가지고 있음을 알기 원하십니다. 당신이 알기 전까지는 영생의 빛 안에서 행할 수 없기 때문입니다. 당신은 자신이 영생을 가지고 있다는 것과 그 생명이 죽음으로부터 자유 하다는 것을 알아야 합니다!

죽음은 “시스템” 안으로 들어온 패배입니다. 하지만 요한은 당신의 “신체 시스템” 안에는 어떤 패배도 없음을 알려줍니다. 심장의 패배, 신장의 패배, 폐의 패배, 그 어떤 종류의 패배도 없습니다! 당신 안에 영생이 있으므로 당신의 장기와 시스템은 패배하지 않습니다! 영생을 주신 하나님께 감사드립니다. 할렐루야!

고백

그리스도 예수 안에 있는 생명의 성령의 법이 나를 죄와 사망의 법에서 자유롭게 하였습니다! 나는 죽음으로부터 완전히 자유 합니다. 나는 죽음의 한계를 뛰어 넘습니다. 내 안에서는 생명의 법칙이 작용하기 때문입니다! 나는 하나님의 자녀로서 생명과 건강 안에서 살 뿐만 아니라, 그 신성한 생명을 내 세상에 있는 모든 사람들에게 나누어 줍니다. 신성이 내 육신 안에 거하고 있으며, 나는 탁월한 생명으로 기능합니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

ETERNAL LIFE HAS BROUGHT US DEATHLESSNESS

“In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death”(Proverbs 12:28).

In our previous study, we reviewed the fact that eternal life has brought us agelessness, but in our study today, we’ll see that eternal life has brought to us even more—deathlessness! Our opening text declares that “In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.” This refers to deathlessness.

There’s a difference between agelessness and deathlessness. Agelessness speaks of a life of endless development, where you grow without aging, whereas deathlessness refers to a life completely devoid of the tendency of death. The natural man’s life is programmed “from the womb to the tomb.” In other words, he was born with the tendency to die. All his life long, he does everything he can to keep himself alive and stave off death, but he eventually succumbs to it because he inherited a curse of death.

But when you’re born again and you have the life and nature of God in you, things are different; you transcend from mortality into immortality! The Bible declares, “This truth is now being unveiled by the revelation of the anointed Jesus, our life-giver, who has dismantled death, obliterating all its effects on our lives, and has manifested his immortal life in us by the gospel” (2 Timothy 1:10 TPT).

In Christ, you’re not susceptible to death, because of eternal life. Now you can better understand the words of Jesus in Mark 16:18: “They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them….” “Any deadly thing” here refers to something fatal or death-causing; but Jesus said none of such things can hurt or harm you. Why? Because you have eternal life!

John the beloved Apostle wrote, “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13 NIV). He wants you to know that you have eternal life because until you know it, you’ll never walk in the light of it. You have to know that you have eternal life and that this life is death-proof!

Death is failure introduced into a “system”; but he’s letting you know that there’s no failure in your “body systems”—no heart failure, kidney failure or lung failure; nothing of the sort! Since you have eternal life in you, the organs and systems of your body don’t fail! Thanks be unto God for eternal life. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from death and the law of sin! I’m absolutely death-free, because the law of life is operational in me! Not only do I walk in life and health as a child of God, I dispense that divine life to all in my world. Divinity dwells in my physical body and I live the transcendent life! Glory to God!

“너희 조상 아브라함은 나의 때 볼 것을 즐거워하다가 보고 기뻐하였느니라 유대인들이 이르되 네가 아직 오십 세도 못되었는데 아브라함을 보았느냐 예수께서 이르시되 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 아브라함이 나기 전부터 내가 있느니라 하시니”(요8:56-58)

우리 주 예수님께서는 “아브라함이 나기 전부터 내가 있느니라”는 이 한 문장으로 그분이 노쇠하지 않으심을 선포하셨습니다. 노쇠하지 않는 삶은 늙지 않고 계속해서 성장하는 생명을 의미합니다. 이는 끝없는, 썩지 않는, 멸망할 수 없는 생명입니다. 당신이 거듭났을 때, 당신은 예수님과 똑같은 영생을 받았고, 노쇠하지 않는 삶으로 옮겨졌습니다.

ETERNAL LIFE BROUGHT US AGELESSNESS

“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am”(John 8:56-58).

With this singular statement—“Before Abraham was, I AM”—our Lord Jesus declared His agelessness. Agelessness refers to a life of endless development, where you grow without getting old. It’s an endless, incorruptible, and indestructible life. When you were born again, you received the same eternal life as Jesus and were brought into agelessness. Hallelujah!

Speaking about eternal life, John declared: “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested unto us” (1 John 1:1-2). The purpose for which it was manifested was so that we might have and live the same life. As you study the Scriptures and see such truths, you see your true reflection and can tell what your life ought to be.

Now that you’re born again, you’ve been born into God’s realm, into eternity! To live in the Word of God, and in Christ, is to live in eternity. That’s the life you’ve got. You’re in Christ; that’s your new environment. You’re not of this world. So, start living your ageless life.

CONFESSION

I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and I have the life of God in me. My spirit, soul and body are vitalized through and through by the power and effect of righteousness and the fullness of the God-life that I’ve received through the Gospel. I’m walking in the reality of my divine heritage in Christ, conscious of His grace and awesome presence in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

많은 사람들이 예수님의 재림에 대해 깨닫지 못하고 있습니다. 그들이 살아가는 모습을 보면 알 수 있습니다. 그들은 날마다 자신을 기쁘게 하는 일들을 하며 살아갑니다. 그들이 깨닫든지 그렇지 못하든지 상관없이 예수님은 다시 오십니다. 그리고 그 시기는 어느 때보다 가까이 왔습니다.

제가 그 날을 얼마나 기다리고 있는지요! 정말 대단한 날이 될 것입니다. 그분이 다시 오실 때 당신은 준비가 되어 있겠습니까? 아니면 그분께서 당신이 해야 할 일을 하지 않았다는 것을 아시게 할 것입니까? 이는 마치 선생님이 전날 학생들에게 숙제를 주고 다음날 숙제 검사를 할 때, 숙제를 한 사람은 선생님을 만나길 기뻐하고, 숙제를 안 한 사람은 선생님이 잊어버리거나 수업에 오시지 않기를 바라는 것과 같습니다.

성경은 말합니다. “하나님을 모르는 자들과 우리 주 예수의 복음에 복종하지 않는 자들에게 형벌을 내리시리니 이런 자들은 주의 얼굴과 그의 힘의 영광을 떠나 영원한 멸망의 형벌을 받으리로다 그 날에 그가 강림하사 그의 성도들에게서 영광을 받으시고 모든 믿는 자들에게서 놀랍게 여김을 얻으시리니 이는 (우리의 증거가 너희에게 믿어졌음이라)”(살후 1:8-10)

예수님이 다시 오실 때, 그분의 나타나심을 사모하는 우리 안에서 영광을 받으실 것입니다. 이는 그분의 영광이 우리 각 사람 안에서 보일 것이라는 뜻입니다. 우리로부터 그리스도께서 우리 안에 계신다는 말을 들었던 사람들은 이제 우리 안에 있는 그분의 영광을 보고 그 말이 참되다는 것을 인정하게 될 것입니다. 눈 깜짝할 새에 우리는 영화로워지고, 밝게 빛나는 빛이 되고, 사람들은 우리 안에 그리고 우리 가운데 계신 예수님을 사모하게 될 것입니다. 그 날은 매우 임박하게 다가왔습니다.

예수님께서 말씀하셨습니다. “이같이 너희 빛이 사람 앞에 비치게 하여(so shine) 그들로 너희 착한 행실을 보고 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하라”(마5:16). 그분은 우리에게 단순히 빛날 뿐만 아니라 목적을 가지고 빛나라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그분은 우리를 열방의 빛으로 만드셨고, 우리가 다른 사람들을 빛나게 하기를 원하십니다. 그분은 그 어느 때보다 지금 우리가 사람들에게 복음을 가지고 가서 생명과 기쁨을 나누어 주기를 원하십니다.

고백

나는 그분의 재림을 즐겁게 기대하며 주님께 합당하게 행하고, 모든 일에 그분을 기쁘시게 합니다. 나는 의의 열매를 맺으며, 나의 세상에 있는 모든 사람들에게 삶의 의미를 줍니다. 나의 믿음은 효과적이고 효율적이며, 그분의 이름의 영광을 위한 일들을 합니다. 아멘.

BE INSPIRED BY HIS IMMINENT RETURN

“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels”(2 Thessalonians 1:7).

A lot of people don’t realize that Jesus is coming back. You can tell by the way they live. They live their lives every day, doing whatever they please. Whether they realize it or not, Jesus is coming again. He said He would, and it’s getting closer than ever before.

How I look forward to that day! What a day it would be. Will you be ready for Him when He returns? Or will He come back to discover you didn’t do what you were supposed to do? It’s like when a teacher gives his students some homework and comes to class the following day to ask for it. The one who did it will be happy to see the teacher, while the one who didn’t would wish the teacher would forget or won’t come to class.

The Bible says, “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day” (2Thessalonians 1:8-10).

When Jesus comes back, He’ll be admired in those of us that love His appearing. This means His glory will be seen in each one of us. Those who heard us when we said Christ was in us will then see His glory in us and acknowledge it as true. Suddenly, we’ll be glorified, each one of us a bright shining light, and they’ll admire Jesus in us and among us. That day is coming very soon.

Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). He didn’t just tell us to shine, but to “so shine!” He’s made us a light to the nations and He wants us to light up other people. He wants us to bring life and joy to them as we reach them with the Gospel now more than ever.

CONFESSION

I’m walking worthy of the Lord, pleasing Him in all things as I joyfully anticipate His soon return. I’m bearing fruits of righteousness, giving the lives of men and women in my world a meaning. My faith is effective and effectual, producing required results to the glory of God. Amen.

살다 보면 잘못된 질문을 하고 잘못된 것을 요구하는 사람들이 있습니다. 그들은 기회가 있을 때마다 잘못된 질문을 하게 만드는 무엇인가 있는 것처럼 행동합니다. 하지만 당신은 바른 질문을 할 수 있습니다. 당신을 유익한 해답으로 이끄는 좋은 질문들이 있습니다. 당신은 바르게 질문을 하는 법을 배우기 전까지 당신을 전진하게 하는 의미 있는 답을 찾을 수 없습니다.

하나님께서는 당신이 바른 질문을 하기 원하십니다. 이스라엘이 다른 나라에 핍박을 당할 시기에 한 천사가 기드온에게 나타나 말을 건넸습니다. “큰 용사여 여호와께서 당신과 함께 하십니다.” 기드온은 대답했습니다. “왜 나를 큰 용사라고 부르십니까? 만약 하나님이 우리와 함께 계시다면 그분의 기적은 다 어디에 있습니까?” 이는 좋은 질문이었습니다. 만약 하나님이 그들과 함께하셨다면, 그들의 삶은 평범하지 않았어야 했습니다.

TV에서 올림픽이나 다양한 스포츠 경기를 시청하면서 초인적인 능력을 가진 것처럼 보이는 운동선수들에 대해 궁금증을 가져본 적이 있습니까? 당신은 그들처럼 할 수 없다고 생각하여 그들을 보며 놀라워했을 것입니다. 혹은 어떤 천재의 지적 수준에 깜짝 놀라본 적이 있습니까?

당신은 어떻습니까? 누군가가 당신이 그런 사람들보다 더 특별하지 않다고 말할 수 있습니까? 언제쯤 기드온처럼 “하나님이 나와 함께 하신다면 내 삶은 평범할 수 없다!”고 고백하며 바른 질문을 던지시겠습니까?

하나님께서 솔로몬에게 지혜를 주셨고 성경은 솔로몬이 모든 사람들보다 지혜로웠다고 말합니다. 다시 말해, 이 세상에 한 사람이 다른 모든 사람보다 지혜로웠는데 그 사람이 예수님이 아니었던 때가 있었습니다. 왜 그 한 사람이 당신이 될 수는 없습니까? 왜 당신은 자신이 살고 있는 도시의 모든 사람들보다 현명할 수 없다고 생각합니까? 누가 그렇게 정했습니까?

ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS

“And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles…”(Judges 6:13).

In life, there’re people who ask the wrong questions and make the wrong requests. There’s just something about them that makes them ask the wrong questions every time they have an opportunity. But you can ask the right questions. There’re good questions that guide you to useful answers. Until you learn to ask the right questions, you won’t find meaningful answers that’ll propel you forward.

God wants you to ask the right questions. At a time when Israel was being oppressed by another nation, an angel appeared to Gideon and greeted, “The Lord is with you, mighty man of valour.” Gideon replied, “Why do you call me a mighty man of valour? If God is with us, where are all His miracles?” This was a good question. If God was with them, then their lives ought not to be ordinary.

Have you ever watched the Olympics or some other sporting event on TV and wondered at the sportsmen who seemed to have superhuman abilities? You most likely found them amazing because you knew you couldn’t do some of the things they were doing. Or have you ever been blown away by the level of intelligence of a genius?

What about you? Who says you can’t be more extraordinary than these people? When are you going to say like Gideon: “If God is with me, then my life cannot be ordinary!” And then you start asking the right questions.

God gave Solomon wisdom, and the Bible says he was wiser than all men. So, there was a time in this world when one man was wiser than all men, and he wasn’t Jesus. Why can’t that be you? Why can’t you be wiser than all the people in your city? Who says you can’t?

Is there some sickness or disease troubling your body? If you’ve received the Holy Spirit, then you need to ask the question: “Should I still be sick with the Holy Spirit living in me?” Not only should you ask this question, you must answer it. Take a hold of your Bible and meditate on the verse that says, “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you” (Romans 8:11 NIV). Before long, the power of the Spirit will course through your body and produce results. Put this to work today.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your wisdom that’s resident within me. Your Word has made me wise and brought me into a place of excellence, success, victory and abundance. I’m inspired by your Word to think the right thoughts, speak the right words, ask the right questions, and receive the results of the Word in my life today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
