예수님은 영원토록 동일하십니다

HE’S FOREVER THE SAME

예수 그리스도는 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하시니라 (히13:8)

우리가 “예수 그리스도는 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하시니라”고 말할 때, 이것은 우리가 지어낸 말도 아니며 진부한 표현도 아닙니다. 이는 말씀이 말하는 진리입니다! 예수님은 변함이 없으십니다. 그분은 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하십니다!

종종 사람들은 어려움을 겪을 때 좌절하면서 “오 하나님, 도대체 어디에 계십니까?”라고 외칩니다. 그들은 하나님께서 이미 그들을 위한 좋은 계획을 마련해 두셨다는 것을 모르기 때문입니다(엡2:10). 그분은 모든 남성, 여성, 소년, 혹은 소녀를 위해 좋은 계획을 가지고 계십니다.

그럼에도 불구하고, 그들이 성경을 들여다보지 않는 한 그들은 그 계획을 절대 발견할 수 없습니다. 그리고 그들은 그 계획을 발견하지 못해서 울고, 구걸하고, 간청할 것이고, 이는 마치 하나님께서 그들의 외침을 듣지 않는 것처럼 보일 수도 있습니다. 그분은 그들이 태어나기도 전에 이미 들으시고 해결책도 공급하셨습니다. 그러나 누군가가 이에 대해 보여주지 않는다면 그들이 어떻게 알 수 있겠습니까(롬10:14)? 그것이 바로 복음을 전하기 위해 주님께서 우리를 보내신 이유입니다.

예를 들어, 시편 33:5은 “… 세상에는 여호와의 인자하심이 충만하도다”고 말합니다. 그러나 많은 사람들이 슬픔, 고통, 좌절을 경험합니다. 왜 그렇습니까? 하나님께서 변하신 것입니까? 절대 그렇지 않습니다!

무지함을 제외하고, 중요한 두 가지 이유가 있습니다. 첫째는 마귀가 사람들로 하여금 하나님의 완전하신 뜻을 보지 못하게 하기 때문입니다. 둘째는 사탄과 어둠의 마귀들의 영향을 받은 사람들이 그들의 이기심과 탐욕 때문에 다른 사람들에게 피해를 주기 때문입니다. 그들은 자신의 악행으로 다른 사람들을 좌절케 합니다. 이것은 타인을 향한 비인간적 행위입니다.

하나님께서는 무슨 일이 일어날지 알고 계셨고, 그래서 당신이 태어나기 훨씬 전부터 해답을 준비하셨습니다. 그 해답이 바로 예수 그리스도이십니다! 만일 당신이 예수님께서 가져오신 생명을 받아들이고 그 생명의 빛 가운데 행한다면, 그분의 영광이 당신의 삶에서 나타날 것입니다. 그리고 앞서 말한 두 가지 이유에도 불구하고 당신은 예수님의 이름의 권세를 사용하여 사탄과 이 세상의 시스템을 초월하여 살 수 있습니다. 그분의 이름은 하늘에서나 땅 위에서나 땅 아래에서나 권세가 있습니다.

기도

사랑하는 주님, 사람들이 예수님과 그리스도 안에 있는 그들의 유업을 발견하도록 돕는 영광을 주시니 감사합니다. 나는 새로 영접하는 사람들과 전세계에 있는 하나님의 자녀들이 오늘 그리스도의 충만한 축복의 실재 가운데 살도록 기도합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HE’S FOREVER THE SAME

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever”(Hebrews 13:8).

When we say, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever,” it isn’t a statement we made up, neither is it a cliché. It’s absolute TRUTH and it came from the Scriptures! Jesus hasn’t changed. He’s the same, yesterday, today and forever.

Oftentimes when people go through difficulties, in their frustration, they cry, “Oh God, where are you?” The reason is that they’re ignorant of the fact that God has already laid out a good plan for them (Ephesians 2:10). He has a good plan for every man, woman, boy or girl.

Nevertheless, except and unless they look into the Scriptures, they may never discover that plan. And when they don’t discover it, they may cry, beg or plead, and it’ll look like God isn’t listening to them; meanwhile, He already provided the solution ever before they were born. But how can they know, except someone shows it to them? (Romans 10:14). That’s why He sent us to preach the Gospel.

The Bible, for example, tells us in Psalm 33:5 that “…the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.” Yet, the experience of a good number of people is one of sadness, pain, frustration. Why is it so? Has God changed? Absolutely not!

There’re two major reasons for this, aside ignorance: the number one reason is that there’s a devil that makes them blind to God’s perfect will. The second reason is that other human beings who are inspired by Satan and the demons of darkness afflict other people with their selfishness and greed. They’ve used their own wickedness to frustrate other men. It’s man’s inhumanity to man.

God knew what would happen and that’s the reason He planned the answer long before you came. The answer is Jesus Christ! If you embrace the life that He brought and walk in the light of it, His glory will be manifested in your life. And in spite of the two aforementioned factors, you can use the power of His Name to live above Satan and the systems of this world. His Name has power in heaven, in the earth, and under the earth.

PRAYER

Thank you, dear Lord, for the honour of helping people discover Jesus and their inheritance in Christ. I pray for new converts and God’s people around the world today, that they walk in the reality of the fullness of the blessings of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

성령님은 어떤 분이십니까?

WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?

내가 아버지께 구하겠으니 그가 또 다른 보혜사(상담자, 돕는자, 중보자, 변호자, 힘 주시는 자, 비상 대기자)를 너희에게 주사 영원토록 너희와 함께 있게 하리니 (요14:16)

성령님은 연기, 구름 혹은 빛이 아니십니다. 그분은 어떤 물체가 아니십니다. 성령님은 삼위일체 하나님의 삼위이십니다. 삼위라고 하는 것은, 그분은 삼위일체의 하나님 중 우리가 가장 마지막으로 알게 되는 분이시기 때문입니다. 창세기 1:1-3에서 하나님은 히브리어 “엘로힘(Elohim)”으로 소개됩니다. 히브리어 “엘로힘”은 하나님을 뜻하는 복수형 단어입니다.

창세기 1:2은 “하나님의 영은 수면 위에 운행하시니라”고 말합니다. 따라서, “엘로힘”에서 처음으로 나타나신 분은 성령님이시지만, 그분은 우리가 가장 마지막에 알게 된 분이십니다. 예수님께서 요한복음 14:15-17에서 제자들에게 다음과 같이 말씀하셨기 때문입니다. “… 내가 아버지께 구하겠으니 그가 또 다른 보혜사를 너희에게 주사 영원토록 너희와 함께 있게 하리니 그는 진리의 영이라 세상은 능히 그를 받지 못하나니 이는 그를 보지도 못하고 알지도 못함이라 그러나 너희는 그를 아나니 그는 너희와 함께 거하심이요 또 너희 속에 계시겠음이라”

성령님은 정확히 예수님과 같으십니다. 그분은 하나님께로부터 능력을 받지 않으십니다. 사실, 성령님이 하나님의 능력이십니다. 그분은 아버지께로부터 나오는 진리의 영이십니다. 성령님은 아버지보다 부족하지 않으시고, 예수님보다도 부족하지 않으십니다. 당신이 하늘나라로 가게 된다면, 아버지 밖에 계신 성령님을 찾을 수 없을 것입니다. 성령님은 아버지 안에 계시기 때문입니다.

이 땅에서 그분의 임재는 어디에나 있습니다! 당신이 하나님의 자녀로서 가는 곳마다 성령님께서 당신과 함께 하시며 그분의 임재는 당신과 연결된 모든 것에 옮겨집니다. 그분은 다른 이름을 가지고 계시지 않습니다. “성령”은 그분의 인격과 성품에 대한 설명입니다.

예수님은 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “보혜사 곧 아버지께서 내 이름으로 보내실 성령…”(요14:26) 이는 성령님께서는 그분만의 이름을 가지고 있지는 않지만, 예수님의 이름에 응답하신다는 것을 의미합니다. 이 엄청난 분에 대해 알려드리고 싶은 것이 너무나도 많습니다! 그분은 하늘나라의 아름다움이십니다. 그분은 우리의 위로자, 상담자, 돕는자, 중보자, 변호자, 힘 주시는 자, 비상 대기자이십니다. 할렐루야! “성령님과 당신”이라는 책을 통해 성령님에 대해 더 알아가십시오.

고백

복되신 성령님, 내 안에 영원히 거하시니 감사드립니다. 성령님은 나를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시고, 나를 향한 하나님의 완전하신 뜻과 일치하는 바른 선택과 결정을 내리도록 가르쳐 주시는 분으로 인식합니다. 할렐루야!

WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever”(John 14:16 AMPC).

The Holy Spirit is not some smoke or cloud, nor is He a light. He’s not a thing! The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Godhead. This is because He’s the last of the Trinity to be known by us! In Genesis 1:1, God was introduced to us as “Elohim” (Hebrew). “Elohim” in Hebrew is plural for God.

We’re then told in the second verse that “the Spirit of God moved over the face of the deep.” Thus, even though the Holy Spirit is the first to be revealed from “Elohim,” He’s the last that we get acquainted with because of what Jesus said to His disciples in John 14:16-17: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

The Holy Spirit is exactly like Jesus. He doesn’t receive power from God. In fact, He’s the POWER of God! He’s the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father. He’s not less than the Father, nor is He less than Jesus. If you went to heaven, you wouldn’t find the Holy Spirit outside the Father, for He’s in the Father.

On earth, His presence is everywhere! Everywhere you go as a child of God, the Holy Spirit goes with you and His presence rubs off on everything that’s connected with you. He doesn’t have a different name; “Holy Ghost” or “Holy Spirit” is a description of His person, His character.

Jesus said, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name…” (John 14:26). This simply implies that though the Holy Spirit has no name of His own, He answers to the Name of Jesus. Oh, so many things to show you about this awesome Personality! He’s the Beauty of heaven—our Comforter, Counsellor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby. Hallelujah! Learn more about Him from our book, “The Holy Spirit And You.”

예언으로 싸움을 싸우십시오

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

아들 디모데야 내가 네게 이 교훈으로써 명하노니 전에 너를 지도한 예언을 따라 그것으로 선한 싸움을 싸우며 (딤전1:18)

사도행전 5:26은 말합니다. “그래서 경비대장이 경비대원들과 함께 가서, 사도들을 데리고 왔다. 그러나 그들은 백성들이 돌로 칠까봐 두려워서 폭력은 쓰지 않았다.”(새번역) 이 구절에는 대장(captain)과 대원들(officers)이 나옵니다. “대장(captain)”은 그리스어로는 “스트라테고스(stratēgos)”로 지휘관을 뜻합니다.

그러나 “대원들(officers)”은 “허페레투스(hupēretēs)”로 직접 일하는 사람들을 말합니다. 그들은 스트라테고스, 즉 대장 혹은 지휘관이 부여한 임무나 지시를 수행하는 사람들입니다.

그리고 디모데후서 2:3(한글킹제임스)는 “그런즉 너는 예수 그리스도의 훌륭한 군사로서 고난을 견뎌내라”고 말합니다. “군사”라는 단어는 그리스어로 “스트라티오테스(stratiōtēs)”이며 “스트라테고스(stratēgos)”와 “허페레투스(hupēretēs)”와는 다릅니다. 그러나 우리가 오늘의 본문 구절에서 읽었듯이 선한 싸움을 “싸운다”고 말할 때는 “스트라시오마이(Stratiomai)”를 사용합니다. 이는 원정군의 지휘관, 즉 전략가를 말합니다. 그는 대원도 아니고 대장도 아닙니다. 그는 전략가입니다!

고백

WAGE WAR WITH PROPHECY

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare”(1 Timothy 1:18).

In Acts 5:26, the Bible says, “Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.” From the foregoing verse, there’s the captain, then there’re officers. The word “captain” is the Greek “stratēgos”, and that’s the commanding officer.

However, the word “officers” is “hupēretēs”(Greek), which refers to those that work with their hands; that is, those that carry out the assignment or instructions given by the “stratēgos”-the captain or commanding officer.

Then, when you read 2 Timothy 2:3, it says, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” The word “soldier” is the Greek, “stratiōtēs” and it’s different from both “stratēgos” and “hupēretēs”. But when it says to “war” a good warfare as read in our opening verse, it uses “Stratiomai” for war. That refers to a commanding officer in the military expedition—a strategist. He’s not the “huper̄etes̄ ,” he’s not the “stratēgos,” but the strategist!

You’re required to be tough like the “stratēgos”; tough as a good soldier. But you’re not to carry out the “war” like the “hupēretēs”—the officers; rather, use prophecy. Hallelujah! Use prophecy to wage war; that’s the strategy, and it’s a strategy of the Spirit. In prophecy, you’re declaring words of power, inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Use the spoken Word to frame and plan your course of life. The Word is a spiritual substance. That’s why it’s important you pray in the Spirit a lot. As you do, you’ll find yourself uttering words in your understanding that are inspired by the Spirit of God, by which you prevail over demons and the adversities of life.

CONFESSION

I’m functioning in supernatural supply, strength, ability, wisdom and knowledge. By the power of the Holy Spirit, I’m fulfilling God’s purpose for my life. I’m forever protected and fortified against all evil and wickedness in this world. I dwell in the safety and peaceful habitation of the Almighty; a place of glory, dominion and everlasting joy, where I reign and rule with Christ over circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

강력한 갈망의 능력

THE POWER OF A COMPELLING DESIRE

다윗이 여호와께서 자기를 세우사 이스라엘 왕으로 삼으신 것과 그의 백성 이스라엘을 위하여 그 나라를 높이신 것을 알았더라 (삼하5:12)

당신이 현재 어떤 수준의 삶을 살고 있든지, 당신을 위한 더 높은 삶의 영역에 대한 약속이 있습니다. 그러나 당신이 그것에 대해 강력한 갈망을 갖기 전까지는 그 새롭고 더 높은 삶의 영역으로 이동하지 못할 것입니다.

환경의 변화에 대한 강력한 갈망의 결과로 삶이 변화된 두 가지 예를 성경을 통해 살펴보겠습니다. 이스라엘 민족 역사 초기 시기에 일부 사람들은 이집트에서의 삶에 익숙해져서 하나님께서 그들의 조상들(아브라함, 이삭, 야곱)에게 약속하신 땅에 대해 잊어버렸습니다.

그러나 그들이 종살이를 하고 이집트인들이 친 채찍에 멍들고 찢기고 나서야 다시금 하나님의 약속을 기억하게 되었습니다. 변화에 대한 이스라엘의 갈망이 갑자기 커졌고, 하나님은 그들의 외침을 들으시고는 그들을 종살이에서 구출하여 약속의 땅으로 인도할 구출자 모세를 보내셨습니다.

사무엘상 1:1-21에는 한나라는 여성에 대한 또 다른 감동적인 이야기가 등장합니다. 그녀는 불임이었기 때문에 수년간 아이가 없었습니다. 그러나 한나의 남편이 그녀를 너무나도 사랑했기 때문에 그녀는 그런 상황이 견딜만 했습니다. 그렇지만, 한나의 라이벌이 그녀의 불임에 대해 말하며 자극하자, 상황이 바뀌었습니다.

갑자기 한나는 심히 슬프고 괴로워졌습니다. 이번에는 그녀의 슬픔을 위로하려는 남편의 모든 노력이 헛수고였습니다. 아이를 갖고자 하는 그녀의 갈망이 너무나 강해졌습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “…한나가 마음이 괴로워서 여호와께 기도하고 통곡하며”(삼상1:9-10)

이 두 가지 상황에서 하나님의 응답은 변화에 대한 강한 갈망의 결과로 왔습니다. 그렇다면 당신은 오늘 자신의 상황에 대한 변화를 갈망합니까? 하나님의 왕국의 능력이 당신을 위한 결과를 맺기를 원합니까? 그렇다면 당신의 심령이 먼저 움직여야 합니다. 당신은 강한 갈망으로 충만해야 합니다.

THE POWER OF A COMPELLING DESIRE

“…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”(James 5:16).

There’s a promise of a higher realm of life for you regardless of where you are presently. But until and unless you have a compelling desire for it, you may not move to that new and higher realm of life.

Let’s look through the Scriptures for two examples of those whose lives were transformed as a result of their compelling desire for a change in their circumstances. In the early period of the history of the nation of Israel, some had become comfortable with the Egyptian lifestyle and possibly forgotten about the land God promised their forebears (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob).

However, it wasn’t until they were subjected to slavery, and the Egyptian whips bruised and tore into their skin that they remembered God’s promise. Suddenly, Israel’s desire for a change grew and God heard their cry and sent Moses, a deliverer, to bring them out of slavery and lead them into the Promised Land.

There’s another inspiring story of a woman named Hannah in the Book of 1 Samuel 1:1-21. She had no child because she was barren and had been in this situation for many years. Her situation seemed bearable because her husband loved her very much. However, the tide turned for her when her rival began to goad her with her condition.

Suddenly, she became sad and very desperate. This time, her husband’s effort to assuage her grief was meaningless; her desire for a child had become overwhelming. The Bible says, “…she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore” (1 Samuel 1:10).

In these two situations, God’s response came as a result of a strong desire for a change. So, do you desire a change in your situation today? Do you want the power of the Kingdom of God to produce results for you? Then, your heart must reach out; you must be bursting with a strong desire. PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the inner strength to desire and experience the supernatural in my life, ministry, finances, business and career. More than anything else, I desire your righteousness to fill the nations, and that through me, many be won into your glorious Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

구원을 전달하는 자들

BEARERS OF SALVATION

이는 복되신 하나님의 영광스러운 복음에 따른 것이며, 이 복음은 내게 맡겨진 것이라. (딤전1:11, 한글킹제임스)

그리스도인으로서 우리는 화해의 사역을 맡고 있습니다. 이는 우리의 세상에 가서 사람들을 하나님과 화목케 하는 우리의 복음의 사역입니다. 우리는 이 일을 해야만 합니다. 예수 그리스도를 믿는 우리들은 하나님과의 교제 안으로 들어왔지만(요일1:3), 세상은 그렇지 않습니다. 세상 사람들을 하나님과의 교제 안으로 데려오는 일은 우리의 책임입니다.

예수님은 마가복음 16:15에서 말씀하셨습니다. “온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라” 이 책임은 천사들이 아닌 그분의 제자들인 우리에게 맡겨졌습니다. 어떤 그리스도인들은 하나님께 천사들을 보내서 사람들이 그리스도께 올 수 있도록 해달라고 기도합니다. 그러나 그것은 천사들의 일이 아닙니다. 천사들의 일은 사람들이 우리와 접촉할 수 있게 하여 우리가 그들에게 복음을 전하도록 돕는 것입니다.

우리는 구원의 메시지를 전달하는 사람들입니다. 우리는 사람들을 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 구원으로 인도하는 사람들입니다. 어떤 사람들은 “그렇지만 요한계시록 14:6-7은 천사들이 사람들에게 전할 영원한 복음을 가졌다고 말하지 않습니까?” 라고 말할 수도 있습니다. “또 보니 다른 천사가 공중에 날아가는데 땅에 거주하는 자들 곧 모든 민족과 종족과 방언과 백성에게 전할 영원한 복음을 가졌더라 그가 큰 음성으로 이르되 하나님을 두려워하며 그에게 영광을 돌리라 이는 그의 심판의 시간이 이르렀음이니 하늘과 땅과 바다와 물들의 근원을 만드신 이를 경배하라 하더라”(계14:6-7)

천사의 메시지는 구원의 메시지가 아니라, 밑줄 친 7절의 심판의 메시지입니다. 구원의 복음을 전파하는 일은 분명히 우리에게 주어진 사명입니다. 사도행전 10장은 어떻게 천사가 고넬료라는 로마 군인에게 보내졌는지 보여줍니다(행10:1-3). 그러나 천사는 고넬료에게 복음을 전하지 않았습니다. 오히려 천사는 그가 시몬 베드로와 만나게 하고, 베드로가 고넬료와 그의 가족들에게 복음을 전하여 그들은 구원받게 됩니다.

땅끝까지 구원의 소식을 전하는 자가 된다는 것이 얼마나 영광스러운 사명입니까! 하나님을 송축합니다! 당신은 이 일에 대해 기뻐해야 합니다. 이것이 당신의 일생의 사명이 되게 하십시오. 당신은 하나님의 의가 알려지게 하고, 그분의 왕국이 이 땅과 사람들의 심령에 세워지도록 복음을 전할 기회를 받았습니다.

BEARERS OF SALVATION

“According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust”(1 Timothy 1:11).

As Christians, we have a ministry of reconciliation; our work of the Gospel is to reach our world and reconcile men to God. We have to do it. Those of us who have believed in Jesus Christ have been brought into fellowship with God (1 John 1:3), but the whole world isn’t. It’s our responsibility to bring them in.

Jesus said in Mark 16:15, “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” This charge wasn’t given to angels, but to us—His disciples. There’re Christians who pray to God to send angels to get people to come to Christ; but that’s not their job. Their job is to get the people in contact with us so we can minister the Gospel to them.

We’re the bearers of the message of salvation; we’re the ones to lead people to salvation in Christ Jesus. Somebody might say, “But in Revelation 14:6- 7, we’re told about the angel that was to preach the everlasting Gospel: ‘And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”’

The message of this angel wasn’t a message of salvation, but of judgment as seen in the underlined portion above. Preaching the Gospel of salvation is an assignment clearly cut out for us. In Acts 10, the Bible tells us how an angel was sent to a Roman soldier by the name of Cornelius (Acts 10:1-3). But the angel didn’t preach the Gospel to Cornelius. Instead, the angel got him to make contact with Simon Peter who came and preached to Cornelius and his household, and they received salvation.

What an honourable assignment it is for us to be the bearers of the message of salvation to the ends of the earth! Blessed be God! You should be glad about that. Make it your life work. You’ve been given the opportunity to serve in the Gospel, to make His righteousness known, and establish His Kingdom in the earth and in the hearts of men. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Lord, thank you for the privilege to be a bearer of the message of salvation. Thank you for granting me the grace to turn men to righteousness, to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God. I fulfil my ministry today as an ambassador of Christ and of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE MANIFESTATION OF GOD’S LOVE

사랑하지 아니하는 자는 하나님을 알지 못하나니 이는 하나님은 사랑이심이라 (요일4:8)

성경은 하나님은 사랑이라고 말합니다! 간단하지만 매우 심오한 말입니다. 이 말은 어떤 의미입니까? 하나님이 사랑이시라면, 그분은 어떤 모습이십니까? 사랑은 어떤 모습입니까? 대대로 그리고 수천년 동안 하나님을 본 사람이 없기 때문에 많은 사람들이 이 계시를 깨닫지 못했습니다(요일4:12). 그래서 그들은 하나님이 어떤 분이신지, 사랑이 무엇인지에 대해 상상만 할 뿐이었습니다.

그러나 예수님께서 오셔서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “… 나를 본 자는 아버지를 보았거늘..”(요14:9) 예수님은 육신으로 나타난 하나님이셨습니다(딤전3:16). 그분께서 갈릴리를 거니실 때, 그분은 하나님의 사랑의 화신이셨고 나타남이셨습니다. 요한일서 4:9은 말합니다. “하나님의 사랑이 우리에게 이렇게 나타난 바 되었으니 하나님이 자기의 독생자를 세상에 보내심은 그로 말미암아 우리를 살리려 하심이라” 예수님은 우리에게 보여진 하나님의 사랑이셨습니다. 그분은 육신이 되신 사랑이셨습니다. 이것은 제가 발견한 사실 중 가장 특별한 것입니다. 그리고 이것은 제게 환상처럼 왔습니다. 저는 사랑이 사람처럼 예수 그리스도의 인격 안에서 제 앞으로 걸어오는 것을 보았습니다. 참으로 예수님은 완벽한 사랑의 나타남이십니다! 무엇이 더 필요하겠습니까?

성경은 말합니다. “사랑하는 자들아, 우리가 서로 사랑하자. 이는 사랑이 하나님께 속한 것이기 때문이라. 사랑하는 사람은 누구나 하나님께로부터 태어났으며 또 하나님을 아느니라. 사랑하지 아니하는 자는 하나님을 알지 못하나니, 하나님은 사랑이시기 때문이라.”(요일4:7-8, 한글킹제임스) 즉, 우리가 하나님의 사랑을 어떻게 보여주는지가 우리가 그 사랑을 안다는 증거라는 뜻입니다. 오늘날 우리는 그분의 성품, 능력, 본성의 표현이기 때문입니다. 당신은 하나님의 사랑의 증거입니다.

당신이 하나님의 사랑을 보여주지 않는다면, 그 사랑을 안다고 말할 수 없습니다. 그분의 사랑은 반드시 당신을 통해 나타나야 합니다. 이는 에베소서 3:10 말씀을 떠올리게 합니다. “이는 이제 교회를 통하여 천상에 있는 정사들과 권세들에게 하나님의 다양한 지혜를 알게 하려는 것이라.”(엡3:10, 한글킹제임스) 교회를 통해 그분 자신과, 그분의 사랑, 그분의 신성한 탁월함과 지혜를 나타내는 것이 하나님의 계획이자 꿈입니다. 그리고 이 일은 당신을 통해 일어나고 있습니다. 할렐루야!

고백

THE MANIFESTATION OF GOD’S LOVE

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love”(1 John 4:8).

The Bible says God is love, a simple but very profound statement. But what does it mean? If God is love, what does He look like? Or what does love look like? For generations and thousands of years, the understanding of this revelation was obscure to many because no one had seen God (1 John 4:12). So, all they had were wild imaginations of who God was, and what love is.

But then came Jesus who said, “…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father…” (John 14:9). Jesus was God manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). When He walked the streets of Galilee, He was the embodiment, the manifestation of God’s love. 1 John 4:9 says, “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.” Jesus was love made flesh. That’s one of the most extraordinary things that I ever discovered. And it came to me like a vision: I saw love walking like a man in front of me, in the person of Jesus Christ! Truly, Jesus is the perfect description of love! What’s more?

The Bible says, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love” (1 John 4:7-8 NKJV). That means, the proof that we know God’s love is how we show it, because we’re the expression of His character, ability and nature today. You’re the proof of God’s love.

You can’t claim to know God’s love if you don’t show it. His love must be demonstrated through you. It reminds of what the Bible says in Ephesians 3:10 NKJV: “To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.” This is God’s plan; His dream is to manifest Himself, His love, His divine excellence and wisdom through the Church. And it’s happening through you. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

The love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost who lives in me. His love is daily manifested in me; I’m the proof of His love, the expression of His character, ability and nature, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

WHY SPEAK IN TONGUES?

방언을 말하는 자는 자기의 덕을 세우고 예언하는 자는 교회의 덕을 세우나니 (고전14:4)

예수님께서 말씀하셨듯이, 당신은 성령을 받을 때 당신 안에 거하시는 하나님의 능력을 받은 것입니다(행1:8). 이 능력은 당신이 방언으로 말할 때 작동되거나 활성화됩니다. 오늘의 본문 구절에 등장하는 “세우다(edifieth)”는 “오이코도미오(oikodomeo)”라는 그리스어 단어에서 번역되었습니다. 이 단어는 건설하다, 짓다, 전지를 충전하듯 담대하게 만들다 혹은 충전하다 라는 뜻입니다.

또한, 방언은 당신이 복음을 전하도록 능력을 줍니다. 저는 소심하여 친구들에게 전도하지 못했던 9살 소년의 간증을 들은 적이 있습니다. 그 소년은 방언을 하기 시작한 후에 자신감이 생겼고, 지금까지 소심하던 소년은 어디서나 담대하게 복음을 전하게 되었습니다. 당신이 날마다 방언으로 기도하는 시간을 보내면서 방언이 하나님께 신비를 말하며 신성한 지혜를 공급받게 한다는 것을 안다면, 오늘날 하나님의 영이 당신의 삶에서 하실 수 있는 일에는 그 어떤 제한도 없습니다.

뿐만 아니라, 방언으로 기도하는 것은 “급속 충전”을 도우며 당신의 영이 신성한 신호에 빠르게 반응하도록 합니다. 방언기도는 위대한 축복입니다. 당신은 이에 대해 “방언의 능력”이라는 책을 통해 더 많이 배울 수 있습니다. 이 책을 찬찬히 공부하며 당신의 영이 “글로소라리아(glossolalia, 그리스어), 방언의 풍성한 유익을 누리도록 하십시오.

WHY SPEAK IN TONGUES?

“He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church”(1 Corinthians 14:4).

When you receive the Holy Spirit, you receive the power of God to reside in you as Jesus said (Acts 1:8). This power is triggered or activated when you speak in other tongues. The Greek word translated “edifieth” in the opening scripture is “oikodomeo,” which means to construct or build up, to embolden or charge up like you’d charge a battery.

That verse is therefore telling us that the one who speaks in tongues builds himself up like an edifice; he emboldens himself and charges himself like a battery. When you spend time to speak in other tongues, you’re building up your spirit: “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 1:20). If you were weak in your Christian life, as you speak in other tongues, the power of God that had lain dormant within you would be stirred and you’ll be strengthened to do the things of God.

Speaking in tongues is the antidote to fear and timidity. God hasn’t given you the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Activate the power within you by spending time speaking in other tongues; do this every day and every so often. Your inner man will be built up strong and you’ll constantly walk in dominion over all your adversaries.

Also, speaking in tongues empowers you to preach. I heard the testimony of a nine-year-old boy who was timid and unable to preach to his friends. After he began speaking in tongues, he became confident, and the hitherto timid boy became a bold preacher of the Gospel everywhere. There’s no limitation as to what the Spirit of God can do in your life if you’d spend time to speak in other tongues every day, knowing that you’re speaking mysteries to God, which will provide divine wisdom.

Furthermore, speaking in other tongues aids “quick charge” and causes your spirit to respond quickly to divine signals. Speaking in other tongues is a great blessing. You can learn more about this from our book, “The Power of Tongues.” Get it and study it carefully and expose your spirit to the rich benefits of “glossolalia” (Greek)—speaking in tongues.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the invigorating, revitalizing, refreshing, energizing and edifying experience of speaking in tongues. There’s a transformation in all that concerns me; my spirit is conditioned for success, excellence, prosperity and victory. As I speak in tongues even now, out of my belly flow gushers of living waters; words of salvation, healing and strength flow through me to my world, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

예전에 간증을 듣던 중 한 여성이 “하나님께서 저를 그렇게 많이 사랑하시는 줄 몰랐어요.” 라고 말했습니다. 그 말에 저는 깊은 감동을 받았습니다. 그녀는 하나님께서 자신을 사랑하신다는 것을 알게 되었고, 그 사실은 모든 것을 바꾸었습니다. 하나님께서 당신을 개인적으로 사랑하신다는 것을 깨닫는 일은 당신이 삶에서 발견할 수 있는 가장 위대한 사실입니다.

그분은 왜 당신을 포기하지 않으십니까? 그분은 왜 항상 당신을 원하십니까? 그리고 그분은 왜 앞으로도 당신을 원하실까요? 그분은 당신을 개인적으로 사랑하시기 때문입니다. 그분께서는 진정 당신을 사랑하십니다. 만일 당신이 이 땅에 있는 유일한 사람이었다 할지라도 예수님은 당신을 위해 죽으러 오셨을 것입니다.

그분은 당신을 그분과 같이 보이고 기능하도록 만드셨습니다. 그분은 당신 안에서 그분 자신을 보십니다. 당신이 어떤 잘못된 행동을 할 때, 그분은 어떻게 당신을 처벌할지 고민하지 않으십니다. 오히려 그분은 당신을 도우시고 당신이 진정 그분이 원하시는 모습이 되도록 하십니다. 그분께서는 당신이 그분의 말씀에 귀를 기울이고 받아들인다면 당신이 더 좋아질 것임을 알고 계시므로, 항상 당신을 교정하고, 인도하고, 보호하기 위해 당신에게 그분의 말씀을 주십니다. 그분께서는 당신을 진정으로 사랑하십니다.

가족 중에 당신을 싫어하는 사람이 있을 수도 있습니다. 당신을 별로 좋아하지 않는 사람이 있을 수 있습니다. 그렇더라도 상관없습니다. 정말 중요한 유일한 분은 예수 그리스도이며 그분은 당신을 애정을 다해 사랑하십니다. 당신에게 이 사실이 온 세상보다 더 의미 있도록 하십시오.

기도

HE LOVES YOU PERSONALLY

“The Lord appeared from of old to me, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you”(Jeremiah 31:3 AMPC).

I was listening to a testimony some time ago and the lady who was testifying said, “I didn’t know that God loves me so much.” That statement touched me deeply. She found out that God loves her, and it changed everything for her. To realize that God loves you personally is one of the greatest discoveries you’ll ever make in your life.

The love of God is unfathomable and immeasurable. He’s more ambitious for your success than you could ever be for yourself. What glory will fill your soul when you discover this reality! It’ll transform your life totally.

Hebrews 13:5 says, “…for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]” (AMPC). This means even if you walk away from Him, He’ll go after you until you prove to Him you don’t want Him. But He always wants you, and He’ll always love you.

Why doesn’t He give up on you? Why does He always want you? And why will He always want you? It’s because He loves you personally. He truly does. If you were the only person on the face of the earth, Jesus would still have come to die for you.

When He made you, He made you to look and function like Him. He sees Himself in you. When you misbehave, He doesn’t look for how to punish you; rather, He seeks to help you and make you become who He really wants you to be. He knows you’d get better if you’d listen to Him and receive His words; so, He always brings His Word to you to correct you, guide you and perfect you. He genuinely loves you.

There might be some people in your family that despise you. There might be some people who may not really like you; it makes no difference. The only one who really counts is Jesus Christ, and He loves you affectionately. Let that mean more than the whole world to you.

PRAYER

Loving Father, thank you for the love you’ve so lavished upon me; it’s love without limits. It’s such a delight to know that I’m special and valuable to you. I walk every day in and with the consciousness of your unfailing love. I manifest and radiate your love to my world today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

말씀은 썩지 않고, 살아 있고, 항상 있습니다(벧전1:23). 당신이 어디에 있든지 상관없이 하나님의 말씀을 믿고 신뢰한다면, 말씀은 결과를 맺을 것입니다. 씨 뿌리는 자의 비유에서 예수님은 씨를 뿌렸을 때 각기 다른 열매를 맺는 네 가지 상황을 말씀하셨습니다. 그리고 나서 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “이 비유는 이러하니라 씨는 하나님의 말씀이요”(눅8:11)

씨앗은 좋은 밭에 심어야 열매를 맺는 능력이 있습니다. 오늘날 당신의 심령은 좋은 밭입니까? 그렇다면, 말씀은 스스로 열매 맺을 것입니다. 옥수수 씨앗이 옥수수가 되고, 오렌지 씨앗이 오렌지가 되듯이, 제가 날마다 말씀의 실재로 전하는 사랑, 소망, 믿음, 능력, 번영, 진리, 힘, 생각과 육신의 건강함의 말씀을 받아들이고 믿는다면, 그 말씀은 당신의 삶에서 말씀의 결과를 낼 것입니다. 말씀은 당신의 삶을 그리스도의 나타남으로 가득 채울 것입니다.

예레미야 4:3에서 주님께서는 그분의 백성들에게 경고하셨습니다. “… 너희 묵은 땅을 갈고 가시덤불에 파종하지 말라”(렘4:3) 저는 오늘 당신에게 동일한 말씀을 드립니다. 방언으로 기도함으로 날마다 당신의 심령이 말씀에 준비되게 하십시오. 고린도전서 14:4은 말합니다. “방언을 말하는 자는 자기의 덕을 세우고…” 그리스도의 말씀이 당신 안에 풍성히 거하게 하여 모든 지혜로 서로 가르치며 권면하게 하십시오(골3:16).

RECEIVE HIS WORD

“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart”(Hebrews 4:12 AMPC).

The Word of God is powerful. If you receive and believe it today, it’ll produce wonders in your life: your body, academics, family, relationships, finances, business—everything about you. I’m referring to the Word that created the heavens and the earth (John 1:3). That same Word is the force that holds the planets in their place (Hebrews 1:3).

The Word is incorruptible, ever living and everlasting (1 Peter 1:23). It doesn’t matter where you are, if you believe and trust God’s Word, it’ll produce results. In the parable of the Sower, Jesus described four scenarios wherein the seed was sown with different results. Then He said, “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God” (Luke 8:11).

A seed has the power to reproduce when you plant it in the right soil. The question is, is your heart the right soil today? If it is, the message will reproduce itself. Just as corn seed reproduces corn, and orange seed reproduces oranges, the Word of love, hope, faith, power, prosperity, truth, strength, soundness of mind and body that I bring you every day in this devotional will reproduce itself in your life, if you receive and believe it. It’ll fill your life with the manifestation of Christ.

In Jeremiah 4:3, the Lord warned His children, “… Plow up the hardness of your hearts; otherwise the good seed will be wasted among the thorns” (TLB). I give the same charge to you today. Every day, prepare your heart for the Word by speaking in other tongues. 1 Corinthians 14:4 says, “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself.…” Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16).

CONFESSION

I open my heart to the Word of God and receive with meekness the love, hope, faith, power, prosperity, truth, strength, soundness of mind and body that the Word brings to me today. I embrace your Word, which is able to make me wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. I live in joy, health, peace and experience victory today because I live by the Word. 완전한 번영

COMPLETE PROSPERITY

“사랑하는 자여, 무엇보다도 네 혼이 잘됨 같이 네가 번성하고 강건하기를 바라노라.”(요삼1:2, 한글킹제임스)

오늘 말씀의 실재는 당신을 향한 하나님의 마음을 분명하게 보여주는 이 아름다운 구절로 시작합니다. 성경은 모든 말씀이 하나님의 영감으로 주어진 것이라고 말합니다(딤후3:16). 그러므로, 무엇보다도 하나님의 소망, 갈망, 뜻, 계획은 당신이 번성하는 것입니다.

저는 일부 그리스도인들이 번영에 대해 가르치는 내용에 문제가 있다는 것을 알고 있습니다. 요한삼서 1:2은 하나님께서 당신의 완전한 번영, 즉 물질적 번영, 신체적(육신적) 번영, 혼의 번영에 관심이 있으시다는 것을 증명합니다.

따라서 하나님의 영은 “네 영이 잘됨 같이 네 건강과 재정도 잘 되기를 원한다”고 말씀하십니다. 그런 사람들은 삶의 균형을 이루기 위해 물질적 그리고 신체적 번영을 반드시 믿어야 합니다. 균형 잡힌 영적인 삶이 하나님께서 원하시는 것입니다.

오늘의 본문 구절의 마지막 부분은 영적인 당신의 혼의 번영에 우선순위가 있음을 알려줍니다. 하나님께서는 당신이 물질적으로나 재정적으로 번성하기 원하십니다. 또한 그분은 당신이 건강하기를 원하십니다. 치유는 좋은 것이지만 당신이 건강하다면 아프지 않을 것이기 때문에 치유는 필요치 않습니다. 할렐루야!

이 무궁무진한 번영의 비결은 무엇입니까? 어떻게 영과 혼과 몸이 형통할 수 있습니까? 성경은 말합니다. “그리스도의 말씀이 너희 속에 풍성히 거하여…”(골3:16) 하나님의 말씀이 당신 안에 풍성하게 있다면, 당신은 영적으로 번성할 것이고, 따라서 신체적으로나 재정적으로도 번성할 것입니다. 작은 것은 큰 것 안에 포함되기 때문입니다.

그러므로 스스로를 말씀에 완전히 내어드리십시오. 말씀을 공부하고 묵상하십시오. 어떤 상황에서도 당신의 입을 통해 항상 말씀이 흘러나올 때까지 말씀을 당신 안에 두십시오.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 당신은 나에게 모든 면에서의 번영을 주셨습니다. 나는 영적으로, 재정적으로 번성하며, 건강하고, 활기차고, 강건합니다. 나는 하나님의 계획에 의해 심겨진 무성한 나무처럼 단단하게 서 있고, 축복의 시냇가에 깊게 뿌리를 내리고 있으며, 의의 열매를 맺고, 영원히 축복받으며 행복합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

COMPLETE PROSPERITY

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”(3 John 1:2)

Today’s study begins with this amazing verse that clearly reflects the mind of God for you. Remember the Bible says that all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16). Therefore, more than anything else, God’s wish, His desire, His will and His plan is that you’d prosper.

I know some Christians have problems with the teaching on prosperity. Well, 3 John 1:2 proves God is interested in your complete prosperity: material prosperity, the physical (or bodily) prosperity and the prosperity of the soul.

Let’s take a closer look at the verse: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” Some people may be prospering in their soul but are neither prospering physically nor materially. I’m referring to Christians who are doing well, upright and forthright in all their affairs, yet they’re sick and financially broke.

But the Spirit of God says, “I wish you will prosper in your health and finances, just as your spirit is prospering.” Such folks must believe in material and physical prosperity so their lives will be balanced. That’s what God wants—a balanced spiritual life.

The last part of the verse refers to the prosperity of your soul, which is spiritual and has the priority. God wants you to prosper materially or financially; then He also wants you to be in health. Healing is good but when you’re in health, you don’t need healing because you don’t get sick. Hallelujah!

What’s the secret to this life of out-and-out prosperity? How can you prosper in your spirit, soul and body? The Bible says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly…” (Colossians 3:16). If the Word of God is in you richly, you’ll prosper spiritually, and therefore, physically and materially too, because the lesser is included in the greater. Give yourself wholly to the Word. Study and meditate on the Word. Keep it inside you until it pours out of your mouth always, and in any situation.

PRAYER

Dear Father, you’ve given me all-round prosperity; I’m prospering spiritually, financially, and I’m healthy, vibrant and strong. I’m standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by your design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruits of righteousness, ever blessed, ever luscious, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
