Wisdom For A Great Life

“지혜를 얻는 것이 금을 얻는 것보다 얼마나 나은고 명철을 얻는 것이 은을 얻는 것보다 더욱 나으니라”(잠 16:16)

고린도전서 1:30은 말합니다. “너희는 하나님으로부터 나서 그리스도 예수 안에 있고 예수는 하나님으로부터 나와서 우리에게 지혜와 의로움과 거룩함과 구원함이 되셨으니.” 그리스도 예수는 당신의 지혜입니다. 그렇다면 예수님은 어떤 분이십니까? 그분은 말씀이십니다. 하나님의 말씀은 지혜의 말씀입니다. 그러므로 하나님의 말씀을 무시하는 것은 지혜를 무시하는 것입니다.

성경은 “말씀을 멸시하는 자는 자기에게 패망을 이루고…”(잠 13:13)라고 말합니다. 하나님의 지혜는 위대한 삶의 비결입니다. 에베소서 1장에서 하나님의 영은 사도 바울을 통해, 에베소 성도들을 위해 하나님께서 그들에게 “자기를 아는 지식 안에서 지혜와 계시의 영”을 주시기를 기도했습니다(엡 1:17, 한글킹제임스).

당신이 어떤 책을 읽었든지 혹은 어떤 조언자를 곁에 두고 있든지 상관없습니다. 삶에서 참된 성공을 거두려면 반드시 하나님의 지혜 가운데 행해야 합니다. 가장 좋은 사실은, 예수님 안에 모든 지혜와 지식의 보화가 감춰져 있는데 그분이 당신 안에 살고 계시다는 것입니다. 따라서 당신은 삶과 왕국의 비밀과 신비에 대한 통찰력을 가지고 있습니다.

지금 이 순간에도 당신이 지혜로운 선택과 결정을 한다고 선포하십시오. 지혜의 영이 당신 안에 역사하고 있기 때문입니다. 당신은 오늘 하나님의 지혜를 듣고 볼 것이라고 고백하십시오. 당신은 신성한 통찰력으로 기능하기 때문에 당신의 말과 행동은 하나님의 계획과 목적과 뜻에 일치된다고 고백하십시오. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

WISDOM FOR A GREAT LIFE

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! (Proverbs 16:16).

1 Corinthians 1:30 says, “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom….” Christ Jesus is your wisdom; and who is Jesus? The Word; and the Word of God is the wisdom of God. To ignore God’s Word would be to ignore wisdom.

The Bible says, “Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed…” (Proverbs 13:13). God’s wisdom is the key to a great life. In Ephesians 1, the Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, prayed for the church at Ephesus that God would grant them “…wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him” (Ephesians 1:17).

It doesn’t matter the books you’ve read or who your advisers are; for you to be a true success in life, you must walk in divine wisdom. The best part is that Christ, in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, lives in you. Therefore, you have insight into mysteries and secrets of life and of the Kingdom.
Acknowledge this about yourself always.

Even now, declare that you make wise choices and decisions, because the Spirit of wisdom is at work in you. Affirm that divine wisdom is heard and seen in you today. Affirm that your actions and words are in sync with God’s plan, purpose and will, for you function by divine insight. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

In Christ are stored all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and that same Christ is alive in me. Therefore, I have access to all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge! I’m sound, sagacious and perspicacious. I talk and deal wisely today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants…Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me (Philippians 2:25-30).

We have a divine commission to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Jesus said: “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). Then in Luke 22:35, He asked His disciples something rather remarkable: “…When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye anything? And they said, Nothing.” It shows that when God sends you on an assignment, He sees to it that everything you require to accomplish it is available to you. All God needs from you is your commitment to the task. The soul winner is sponsored by God. Therefore, be determined that there’ll be no limit to how far you’re willing to go in spreading the Gospel around the world.

As far as God is with you and has made your body His living tabernacle, the Gospel won’t be limited. That’s the kind of commitment we see in the Apostle Paul, and it’s worth emulating. He said, “Woe unto me, if I don’t preach the Gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16).

Some people have committed their time and resources to ensuring the Gospel reaches every nation of the world. They do great exploits in advancing God’s agenda, making up for the lack or short-comings of others. They give so much money to the furtherance of the Gospel; and the more they give, the more the Lord channels resources their way so they can accomplish greater things for Him. He’ll supply all you ever require to fulfil His purpose of soul winning.

Decide that through you, the Gospel will continue to prosper, and you’ll keep at it, until the rapture of the Church.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for entrusting me with the Gospel and giving me the resources, time, energy and ideas for its quick and unhindered spread around the

world. Through me, the knowledge of Christ spreads everywhere; the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ dispels darkness in the hearts of the unconverted, impacting them with the message of eternal life, establishing them in righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

UNVEILING THE CHRIST-LIFE IN YOU

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

Christianity is the outworking of the Word of God in a human person. As a Christian, you’re essentially the image of Christ; every step you take should be the expression of the divine life in you. That’s how Jesus lived when He walked the earth. He was the manifestation of God: the expression of the divine life.

You’re Christ alive to your world, your family, workplace, neighbourhood, city, and country; in that place where you are—you’re the Christ that they see. Therefore, your words and actions, the life you live, the way you do the things you do, should express the Christ-nature in you.

When people look at you, they should see the glory of the new creation. You’re a God-carrying vessel; carry this consciousness with you today; this is God’s dream for your life. True success is God manifesting and expressing Himself in, and through you; it’s how much His personality and character are revealed through you. Your goal, therefore, should be to always reveal Him.

Everything you do should be about one thing only: the manifestation of the Christ-life in you; His perfection and righteousness expressed through you. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

Christ is alive in me and has settled and made His home in the quarters of my heart by faith. His nature, personality and character are revealed through me; my thoughts, words and actions are the manifestations of His perfection and righteousness. Hallelujah!

그분은 요한복음 14:3에서 말씀하셨습니다. “… 내가 다시 와서 너희를 내게로 영접하여 나 있는 곳에 너희도 있게 하리라.” 사도 베드로는 주님의 재림과 재림에 앞서 일어날 일들을 언급하며 이렇게 말했습니다. “그러나 주의 날이 도둑 같이 오리니 그 날에는 하늘이 큰 소리로 떠나가고 물질이 뜨거운 불에 풀어지고 땅과 그 중에 있는 모든 일이 드러나리로다 이 모든 것이 이렇게 풀어지리니 너희가 어떠한 사람이 되어야 마땅하냐 거룩한 행실과 경건함으로”(벧후 3:10-11).

휴거에 초점을 맞추십시오. 매일 주님을 기다리는 자로서 그분의 재림을 항상 심령에 지니고 살아가십시오. 사랑 안에서 행하십시오. 의 안에서 행하십시오. 그리고 스스로 준비되는 동안 당신 주변의 사람들도 준비되도록 그들에게 하나님의 말씀을 전하고 가르치십시오.

기도

HAVE THE RAPTURE IN FOCUS

And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming (1 John 2:28).

The rapture of the Church is closer than ever. We’re in the closing moments or final “times of the signs” before the Lord’s appearing. It’s important that you’re ready for Him. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 says the dead “in Christ” shall rise first, and those who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air.

The question is: are you in Christ? If you are, then you’re one of the many the Lord is coming to receive unto Himself. If, however, you’re not, you have to give your heart to Christ right away, by confessing His Lordship over your life.

The Bible says, “…Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” (Hebrews 9:28).

Acts 1:9-11 tells us about His ascension into heaven. While the disciples stood, gazing in awe as He levitated, two angels appeared to them and said, “This same Jesus, who has been received from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11). This is the reason we’re preaching the Gospel around the world. The whole world needs to know that the rapture of the Church is imminent; the Master is coming soon.

He said in John 14:3, “…I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” The Apostle Peter, referring to the day of the Lord and the events that’ll herald His coming, said, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness” (2 Peter 3:10-11).

Have the rapture in focus. Live every day as one expecting the Master; carry that consciousness in your heart at all times. Walk in love. Walk in righteousness. And while you’re getting yourself ready, help those around you to get ready as well by preaching and teaching them God’s Word.

PRAYER

I’m awake and alert in the spirit, fervent in good works, being propelled by the Master’s love, His Word, and my expectation of His soon return. I’m fully convinced that the Gospel is God’s saving power to everyone who believes; I’m resolute in my pursuit for the souls of men. Today, as this glorious Gospel is preached around the world, many are snatched out of the kingdom of darkness into the glorious liberty of the sons of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Three Important Reasons To Win Souls

“또 이르시되 너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라”(막 16:15)

어떤 사람들은 영혼을 구원하여 그리스도께 인도하지 못한 그리스도인도 천국에 갈 수 있는지 묻습니다. 그들의 질문은 주님께서 에스겔 33:2-6에서 하신 말씀에 근거합니다. “… 가령 내가 칼을 한 땅에 임하게 한다 하자 그 땅 백성이 자기들 가운데의 하나를 택하여 파수꾼을 삼은 그 사람이 그 땅에 칼이 임함을 보고 나팔을 불어 백성에게 경고하되 그들이 나팔 소리를 듣고도 정신차리지 아니하므로 그 임하는 칼에 제거함을 당하면 그 피가 자기의 머리로 돌아갈 것이라… 그러나 칼이 임함을 파수꾼이 보고도 나팔을 불지 아니하여 백성에게 경고하지 아니하므로 그 중의 한 사람이 그 임하는 칼에 제거 당하면 그는 자기 죄악으로 말미암아 제거되려니와 그 죄는 내가 파수꾼의 손에서 찾으리라.”

그리스도인으로서 반드시 복음을 전파하고 영혼을 구원해야 하는 세 가지 중요한 이유가 있습니다. 첫 번째 이유는 주 예수님과 그분의 영광스러운 복음에 대한 당신의 믿음입니다. 두 번째 이유는 그분을 향한 당신의 사랑과 그분의 재림에 대한 소망입니다. 세 번째 이유는 그분께서 우리에게 주신 영혼구원에 대한 지시입니다. 이 세 가지 이유로 당신이 영혼을 구원해야 하는 것입니다.

만일 당신이 영혼구원을 하지 않는다면 주님에 대한 당신의 사랑은 의심스럽습니다. 그리고 천국에 대한 소망과 주님의 지시에 대한 당신의 순종 또한 의문이 듭니다. 당신이 영혼구원자가 아니라면, 그것은 당신이 진정으로 믿지 않는다는 것입니다. 천국은 살인자들과 우상 숭배자들을 위한 곳이 아니듯이 “믿지 않는” 자들을 위한 곳도 아닙니다. 요한계시록 21:8은 말합니다. “그러나 두려워하는 자들과 믿지 아니하는 자들과 흉악한 자들과 살인자들과 음행하는 자들과 점술가들과 우상 숭배자들과 거짓말하는 모든 자들은 불과 유황으로 타는 못에 던져지리니 이것이 둘째 사망이라.”

하나님은 영혼들을 그분의 왕국으로 이겨오도록 결정하셨고, 우리의 세상에서 잃어버린 영혼들을 찾아서 그들과 복음을 나누는 책임을 우리에게 맡기셨습니다. 그러므로 당신은 아직 복음을 듣지 못한 자들에게 다가가 그리스도를 전해야 합니다. 이것이 하나님의 자녀인 당신의 가장 중요하고 엄숙한 책임입니다.

THREE IMPORTANT REASONS TO WIN SOULS

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).

Some have asked if Christians who never won souls to Christ would go to heaven. Their question is based on what the Lord said in Ezekiel 33:2-6 (read entire text). There’re three important reasons you must preach the Gospel and win souls as a Christian. First is your faith in the Lord Jesus and His glorious Gospel. The second reason is your love for Him and hope of His soon return. The third reason is His instruction for us to win souls. These three reasons should compel you to win souls.

If you don’t win souls, then your love for the Lord is questionable. Also, your hope of heaven is called to question, as well as your obedience to the Master’s instruction. So if you’re not a soul winner, it means you really don’t believe, and heaven isn’t a place for the “unbelieving,” as it isn’t for murderers, idolaters, etc. Revelation 21:8 says, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

God has determined that souls be won to His Kingdom, and He’s given us the responsibility to locate the lost in our world and share the Gospel with them. Therefore, you MUST reach the unreached and bring them to Christ; it’s your primary and solemn responsibility as a child of God.

The Apostle Paul, recognizing this, writes, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ…” (2 Corinthians 5:19-20). Be fully committed to the Gospel and its furtherance around the world.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for making me an able minister of the New Testament, to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. I fulfil my calling with boldness, faith, courage and conviction. The light of your glorious Gospel shines brightly through me today, bringing men out of darkness, into the glorious liberty of the sons of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

예수님은 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나신 후에 그분의 제자들에게 나타나셨습니다. 그러나 제자들 중 하나였던 도마는 그곳에 없었습니다. 그래서 그는 예수님의 부활을 의심했습니다. 그리고 나서, 예수님은 다른 장소에서도 제자들 앞에 나타나셨습니다. 이때에는 도마가 있었고, 예수님은 도마에게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “네 손가락을 이리 내밀어 내 손을 보고 네 손을 내밀어 내 옆구리에 넣어 보라 그리하여 믿음 없는 자가 되지 말고 믿는 자가 되라”(요 20:27).

도마는 손을 뻗어 주님의 손과 옆구리에 있는 구멍을 만졌습니다. 그러고는 놀란 도마는 “나의 주님이시요, 나의 하나님이시니이다”(요 20:28)라고 외쳤습니다! 도마가 예수님을 하나님이라고 불렀을 때, 예수님은 “아니다, 도마야. 나를 하나님이라 부르지 말아라. 너는 과한 이야기를 하고 있구나.”라고 말씀하지 않으셨습니다. 그분은 그 말을 받아들이셨습니다. 도마가 실재를 말했기 때문입니다. 예수님은 하나님이십니다.

불타는 가시덤불 속에서 모세에게 말씀하신 하나님이 바로 그분이십니다. 아브라함을 하란에서 불러내어 “나는 전능한 하나님이라 너는 내 앞에서 행하여 완전하라”(창 17:1)고 말씀하신 분이 그분이십니다. 여호수아에게 “네가 선 곳은 거룩한 땅이니 네 발에서 신을 벗으라”(출 3:5)고 말씀하신 분도 그분이십니다.

예수님은 하나님께서 사람의 몸을 입고 나타나신 분이었지만 사람들은 그 사실을 몰랐습니다. 그분은 아도나이(Adonai), 주님, 하나님이십니다! 모세에게 “내가 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 전능의 하나님으로 나타났으나 나의 이름을 여호와로는 그들에게 알리지 아니하였고”(출 6:3)라고 말씀하신 분이 그분이십니다.

유대인들은 예수 그리스도를 아도나이라고 고백해야 했기 때문에 그분을 받아들이기 어려워했습니다. 그들은 그 말의 의미를 이해하고 있었습니다.

생각해보십시오. 이스라엘의 거리를 걷고 있던 평범해 보이는 갈릴리 사람은 실제로 전능하신 하나님이셨습니다! 그들은 이 사실을 받아들일 수 없었습니다. 그들은 예수님에게 사형을 선고했지만, 그분은 그들의 구원을 위한 속죄양으로서 자신의 생명을 내려놓으셨습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “그가 세상에 계셨으며 세상은 그로 말미암아 지은 바 되었으되 세상이 그를 알지 못하였고 자기 땅에 오매 자기 백성이 영접하지 아니하였으나”(요 1:10-11).

사도 바울은 그분 안에 신성의 모든 충만이 육체로 거하신다고 말합니다. 당신이 예수님을 본다면 아버지나 성령님을 찾을 필요가 없을 것입니다. 그분은 신성의 완전한 형상이십니다.

JESUS IS HIMSELF GOD

For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).

After Jesus rose from the dead, He appeared to His disciples. But one of them, Thomas, wasn’t there; so he doubted the resurrection of Jesus. Then, Jesus appeared to the disciples on another occasion; this time, Thomas was present, and Jesus engaged him in a dialogue. He said to Thomas, “…Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing” (John 20:27).

Thomas reached out his hand, and felt the holes in the Master’s hands and the hole in His side. Awed at this, Thomas exclaimed, “…My Lord and my God” (John 20:28)! When Thomas addressed Jesus as God, Jesus didn’t say, “No, Thomas, don’t call me God; you’re going too far.” He accepted it because Thomas spoke reality. Jesus is Himself God.

He is the God that spoke to Moses in the burning bush. He is the One that called Abraham out of Haran and said, “Walk before me, and be thou perfect; I am El Shaddai” (Genesis 17:1). He was the One that stood before Joshua and said, “Take your shoes off your feet for where you’re standing is holy” (Exodus 3:5).

Jesus is God in a human body, but the people didn’t know. He is Adonai, the Lord, God! He was the One that said to Moses, “Your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob knew me as El Shaddai, but I’m Jehovah” (Exodus 6:3). Jehovah is Yahweh. This is why the Jewish people had difficulty accepting Jesus Christ ordinarily, because they’ll have to confess that He’s Adonai, which He is. They understood the implication.

Think about it: that seemingly ordinary man of Galilee was actually God Almighty, walking the streets of Israel! They couldn’t accept it. They condemned Him to death, but He laid down His life as a lamb for their salvation. The Bible says, “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own and his own received him not” (John 1:10-11).

The Apostle Paul tells us that in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead, bodily. When you see Jesus, you wouldn’t need to look out for the Holy Spirit or the Father; He is the complete embodiment of Deity.

Precious Lord Jesus, you’re my Lord and my God! You’re my life, the One I live for and live unto; you’re my everything, and the reason for my existence. I worship you for who you are, and thank you for revealing yourself to me today. Amen.
