예수 이름으로 행하십시오
WALK IN HIS NAME
“믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며…”(막 16:17-18)
우리가 예수 이름으로 할 수 있다고 예수님이 알려주신 첫 번째 일이 귀신을 쫓아내는 것이라는 사실이 놀랍지 않습니까? 이는 사탄이 얼마나 패배했는지를 보여줍니다. 사탄은 전혀 중요한 요인이 아닙니다. 방금 전에 자신의 생명을 그리스도께 드린 사람도 귀신을 쫓아낼 수 있습니다. 그 이유는 그리스도인은 사탄보다 우위에 있고, 그에게는 하나님의 생명과 그리스도의 의가 있어서 하나님과 같은 부류에 속한 자이기 때문입니다. 할렐루야!
그러므로 사탄을 통제하는 일은 당신이 생각하기에 당신이 얼마나 “강하거나 영적인지”가 아니라 예수님 자신과 그분이 당신에게 주신 권세의 문제입니다. 당신은 예수 이름으로 행하고 삽니다. 사탄은 당신의 삶과 가정과 사랑하는 이들의 삶을 좌지우지할 권한이 없습니다. 사탄을 내쫓으십시오! 그리스도 안에서 사탄을 다스리는 당신의 권세를 행사하십시오. 당신은 언제 어느 때나 어디서나 단지 예수 이름을 사용해서 귀신들을 쫓아낼 수 있습니다.
예수 이름으로 사탄과 그의 어둠의 무리들을 향해 말하면, 그들은 예수님으로부터 직접 들은 것처럼 반응합니다. 그러므로 사탄을 다룰 때 사탄과 협상하지 말고 그냥 쫓아내십시오! 그 일이 바로 예수님이 우리가 해야 할 일이라고 말씀하신 것입니다. 누군가 “제가 마귀를 쫓아내려 하지만 마귀가 나가지 않으면 어떡하죠?”라고 물었습니다. 당신이 예수 이름으로 행하고 있다면, 그런 일은 일어나지 않습니다.
예수 이름으로 행하는 것은 그 이름의 권능과 권세를 인식한다는 것입니다. 즉 그 이름이 대표하는 것을 의식하면서 산다는 뜻입니다. 빌립보서 2:9-11은 말씀합니다. “이러므로 하나님이 그를 지극히 높여 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주사 하늘에 있는 자들과 땅에 있는 자들과 땅 아래에 있는 자들로 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고…”
당신은 이것을 모르고 귀신들이 쫓겨나길 바랄 때 반응할지 말지 망설일 수 있습니다. 귀신들은 선택의 여지가 없습니다. 말씀이 그것을 확증합니다. 당신이 하는 역할은 마귀를 쫓아내는 것입니다. 그러면 마귀가 반응할 책임은 복종하고 도망치는 것입니다!
고백
내 영에서 그리스도와 그분의 생명과 의의 본성과 하나인 하나님과 같은 부류의 존재라니 이 얼마나 경이로운 일입니까! 이것이 나를 모든 정사와 권력과 이 세상의 어둠의 통치자들보다 훨씬 높은 곳에 둡니다. 나는 예수 이름으로 그들을 영원히 그들이 속한 곳인 내 발밑에 두도록 그리스도 안에 있는 나의 권세를 행사합니다. 아멘.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils… (Mark 16:17-18).
Isn’t it amazing that the very first thing Jesus said we could do in His Name is casting out devils? It goes to show just how much Satan has been defeated; he’s not a factor at all. Someone who only gave his life to Christ moments ago can cast out devils. That’s because the Christian is superior to Satan; the Christian has the life of God and the righteousness of Christ; he’s in God’s class. Hallelujah! Therefore, keeping Satan in check isn’t a question of how “strong” or “spiritual” you think you are; it’s about Jesus and the authority He’s given you; you walk and live in His Name. Satan has no right to run things in your life, in your home or in the lives of your loved ones; run him out! Exercise your authority in Christ over him. You can cast out demons any day, anytime and anywhere, simply by using the Name of Jesus. When you address Satan and his cohorts of darkness in the Name of Jesus, they respond as though they were hearing directly from Jesus. So, in dealing with Satan, don’t negotiate with him; cast him out! That’s what Jesus said we should do. Someone asked, “What if the devil doesn’t go when I try to cast him out?” That’s not an option, if you’re walking in His Name. Walking in His Name is recognising the power and authority of that Name; living with the consciousness of what that Name represents. Philippians 2:9-10 says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.” You couldn’t know this and be debating whether or not the demons would respond when you want them cast out; they have no choice. The Word settles it: Your role is to cast the devil out, and the devil’s responsibility is to obey and flee!
CONFESSION
How wonderful to be an associate of the Godꠓkind; one with Christ, with His life and nature of righteousness in my spirit! It places me far above all principality, power, and rulers of the darkness of this world. I exercise my authority in Christ to keep them where they perpetually belong?under my feet?in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
