당신의 영을 강건하게 만드십시오

Energizing Your Spirit

“그러므로 내가 나의 안수함으로 네 속에 있는 하나님의 은사를 다시 불일듯 하게 하기 위하여 너로 생각하게 하노니”(딤후 1:6)

바울이 디모데에게 그 속에 있는 하나님의 은사를 불일 듯 하라고 말했을 때, 바울은 성령의 능력, 즉 변화를 일으키는 역동적인 힘을 말한 것입니다. 그 능력은 예수님께서 “오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고…”(행 1:8)라고 말씀하실 때의 권능과 같은 것입니다.

당신이 성령을 받았다면 그 능력은 당신 안에 거합니다. 그러나 그 능력은 활성화되지 않으면 휴면 상태일 수 있습니다. 그 능력을 가장 빠르게 활성화하는 방법은 방언으로 기도하는 것입니다. 고린도전서 14:4은 말합니다. “방언을 말하는 자는 자기의 덕을 세우고…” 당신이 방언으로 말할 때 자신을 건축할 뿐만 아니라 초자연적인 일들을 하도록 스스로 활력을 불어넣고 있는 것입니다. 당신은 삶의 모든 영역에 변화를 일으키도록 안으로부터 신성한 능력을 불러일으킵니다.

당신이 스스로 영 안에서 충전되고 자신 안에 있는 하나님의 능력을 휘저을 때 하나님의 영광이 당신의 삶에 나타납니다. 에베소서 3:16을 통해 우리는 하나님의 백성들이 성령으로 말미암아 기적을 행하는 능력으로 활성화되기를 바라는 성령의 갈망을 봅니다. 방언 기도는 그 일이 당신에게 일어나게 합니다.

또한 방언 기도는 당신의 믿음을 강하게 합니다. 유다서 1:20은 말합니다. “사랑하는 자들아 너희는 너희의 지극히 거룩한 믿음 위에 자신을 세우며 성령으로 기도하며” 하나님의 말씀을 들을 때 당신에게 믿음이 옵니다. 당신이 하나님의 말씀을 많이 들을수록 믿음은 더욱 커집니다. 방언으로 기도하며 당신의 믿음의 최고 수준을 유지하십시오.

사랑하는 아버지, 오늘 내가 방언으로 기도할 때 내 삶에 나타나는 아버지의 영광에 감사드립니다. 내 안에 있는 아버지의 능력이 활성화되어 내가 신성한 지혜 안에 걷도록 강건케 되고, 전진하고, 높은 건물처럼 세워집니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

ENERGIZING YOUR SPIRIT

“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands” (2 Timothy 1:6).

When Paul told Timothy to stir up the gift of God in him, he was referring to the power of the Holy Spirit—the dynamic ability to effect changes. This was the same power Jesus talked about when He said, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” (Acts 1:8).

If you’ve received the Holy Spirit, that power resides in you. That power can however be dormant unless activated, and the quickest way to activate it is by speaking in other tongues. 1 Corinthians 14:4 says, “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself….” As you speak in other tongues, not only are you building yourself, you’re also energizing yourself in the supernatural; you’re stirring up divine power from within to effect changes in every area of your life.

The glory of God is revealed in your life as you charge yourself up in the spirit and stir up the power of God inside you. In Ephesians 3:16, we see the Spirit’s desire for God’s people to be invigorated with miracle-working ability by the Holy Ghost; praying in tongues can make that happen for you.

Praying in other tongues also energizes your faith. The Bible says in Jude 1:20, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.” Faith comes to you when you hear the Word of God. The more you hear the Word the higher your faith goes. However, you sustain yourself at the highest peak of faith by praying in other tongues.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for your glory that’s manifested in my life today as I speak in other tongues. Your power in me is activated, energizing me to walk in divine wisdom, making progress, and rising higher and higher like an edifice, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Speaking Mysteries In The Spirit

“오직 은밀한 가운데 있는 하나님의 지혜를 말하는 것으로서 곧 감추어졌던 것인데 하나님이 우리의 영광을 위하여 만세 전에 미리 정하신 것이라”(고전 2:7)

삶은 신비들, 답하기 어려운 질문들, 인간의 이해를 넘어서는 사건들과 활동들로 가득합니다. 그리스도인으로서 우리는 신비를 말함으로 이러한 일들을 다룹니다. 부정적인 환경에 의문을 품기 보다는 우리는 영적 신비를 말함으로 그런 상황을 없애 버립니다.

성경은 말합니다. “방언을 말하는 자는 사람에게 하지 아니하고 하나님께 하나니 이는 알아 듣는 자가 없고 영으로 비밀을 말함이라”(고전 14:2) 방언으로 기도할 때, 우리는 성령으로 말미암아 신성한 신비를 말하는 것입니다.

방언으로 기도할 때 당신의 영은 영적인 영역에서 성경이 말한 것 같은 상태에 도달합니다. “주의 폭포 소리에 깊은 바다가 서로 부르며…”(시 42:7) 고린도전서 2:10-11을 말합니다. “… 성령은 모든 것 곧 하나님의 깊은 것까지도 통달하시느니라 사람의 일을 사람의 속에 있는 영 외에 누가 알리요 이와 같이 하나님의 일도 하나님의 영 외에는 아무도 알지 못하느니라”(고전 2:10-11)

사람에게 알려지지 않은 영의 신비는 성령님에 의해 우리에게 드러납니다. “우리가 세상의 영을 받지 아니하고 오직 하나님으로부터 온 영을 받았으니 이는 우리로 하여금 하나님께서 우리에게 은혜로 주신 것들을 알게 하려 하심이라 우리가 이것을 말하거니와 사람의 지혜가 가르친 말로 아니하고 오직 성령께서 가르치신 것으로 하니”(고전 2:12-13)

다음 구절에 주목해 보십시오. “우리가 이것을 말하거니와 사람의 지혜가 가르친 말로 아니하고 오직 성령께서 가르치신 것으로 하니” 자주 방언 기도하는 습관을 기르십시오. 당신이 자주 방언으로 기도할 때, 당신은 자신의 미래에 대한 말을 하는 것입니다. 당신은 영적인 영역에서 일들을 다루고 처리하며 위기의 시기를 마주했을 때 웃으면서 헤쳐나가는 것입니다.

사랑하는 아버지, 내 삶과 아버지께서 내게 맡기신 일들에 대한 신비를 말할 수 있는 방언의 특권과 축복에 감사드립니다. 또한 방언 통역의 은사에 감사드립니다. 내가 신비들을 통역할 때, 내 마음에 해답들이 넘치고, 아버지의 완전한 뜻 가운데 행하게 됩니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

SPEAKING MYSTERIES IN THE SPIRIT

“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory” (1 Corinthians 2:7).

Life is full of mysteries, unanswered questions, events and activities beyond human understanding. As Christians, our way of dealing with these mysteries is by speaking mysteries. Rather than wonder about negative circumstances, we cancel them by speaking spiritual mysteries.

The Bible says, “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries” (1 Corinthians 14:2). When we pray in tongues, we’re uttering divine mysteries inspired by the Holy Spirit.

At such times, your spirit reaches into the realm of the spirit, just as the Bible says, “Deep calleth unto deep…” (Psalm 42:7). Then 1 Corinthians 2:10-11 says, “…for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.”

These mysteries of the Spirit that are unknown to men are unveiled to us by the Holy Spirit: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth” (1 Corinthians 2:12-13).

Notice that it says, “Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth.” Cultivate the habit of speaking in tongues often. As you do, you speak things into your future. You settle matters and take care of things in the realm of the spirit so that when the time of crisis comes, you just laugh your way through.

This is why God wants us to pray all the time in the spirit: “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6:18).

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the privilege and blessing of speaking in other tongues where I speak forth mysteries about my life and the work you’ve committed to me. Thank you also for the gift of the interpretation of tongues. As I interpret those mysteries, answers flood my mind, and I walk in your perfect will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Praying In The Spirit Makes You Glow

별을 보기 위해 밤에 밖으로 나와본 적이 있습니까? 그것은 참으로 아름다운 광경입니다. 그러나 영 안에서 이 땅을 내려다 볼 때 하늘에 있는 별들을 보는 것과 같이 당신이 땅의 빛의 별들도 본다는 것을 알고 있습니까? 다른 점은 성령 안에서 보는 이 별들이 하나님의 자녀인 우리라는 점입니다.

성경은 말합니다. “이는 너희가 흠이 없고 순전하여 어그러지고 거스르는 세대 가운데서 하나님의 흠 없는 자녀로 세상에서 그들 가운데 빛들로 나타내며”(빌 2:15) 우리는 모두 별이지만 서로 다르게 빛납니다. 어떤 사람들은 강하게 빛나고, 어떤 사람들은 밝게 빛나지 않을 수도 있습니다.

누가복음 9:29은 예수님에 대해 이렇게 말합니다. “기도하실 때에 용모가 변화되고 그 옷이 희어져 광채가 나더라” 기도에는 당신의 영에 영향을 미치고 당신의 영을 빛나게 하는 무언가가 있습니다.

다른 사람들이 당신의 영광을 보지 못할 수도 있습니다. 그들의 눈이 열리지 않아 당신의 얼굴에 나타난 영광을 보지 못할 수도 있지만, 당신이 영으로 기도할 때 당신은 지속적으로 영광에서 영광으로 변모됩니다. 이것이 우리가 방언 기도를 강조하는 이유입니다.

당신이 자주 방언으로 기도할 때 스스로 성령으로 충만케 되고 자신 안에 있는 하나님의 능력을 활성화하기 때문에 당신의 삶에서 하나님의 영광이 나타나게 됩니다.

주 예수님께서는 “이같이 너희 빛이 사람 앞에 비치게 하여…”(마 5:16)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 당신의 빛을 더욱 빛나게 할 책임은 당신에게 있다는 뜻입니다. 당신이 영 안에서 기도할수록 당신의 빛은 강해집니다. 이것이 당신으로 하여금 하나님의 일을 효과적으로 하게 하고, 당신을 건강하고 강건하게 할 것입니다. 할렐루야!

사랑하는 아버지, 성령의 은사와 방언 기도의 능력을 주시니 감사합니다. 오늘 방언으로 기도할 때 나는 모든 곳을 비추고 밝게 빛나며 당신의 선하심, 친절하심, 은혜를 내 세상에 발산합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT MAKES YOU GLOW

“Keep your eyes on the Lord! You will shine like the sun and never blush with shame” (Psalm 34:5 CEV).

Have you ever come out in the nighttime to look up at the stars? It’s such a beautiful sight to behold. But did you know that in the spirit, when you look down on the earth, the same way you see those stars up in the sky, that’s how you see stars of light in the earth? The difference is that these stars you see in the Spirit are us—God’s children.

The Bible says, “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:15). Even though we’re all stars, we glow differently. Some of us glow strongly, while others may not shine as brightly.

In Luke 9:29, the Bible says about Jesus, “And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.” There’s something about prayer that affects your spirit and causes it to glow.

Others may not see the glory all over you; their eyes may not be opened to see it on your face, but as you pray in the spirit, you’re constantly transfigured from glory to glory. It’s one of the reasons we emphasize praying in tongues.

When you pray in tongues often, the glory of God is revealed in your life as you charge yourself up in the spirit and stir up the power of God inside you.

The Lord Jesus said, “Let your light so shine…” (Matthew 5:16). This means you’re responsible for making your light glow more and more. The more you pray in the spirit, the stronger your light. That’s what enables you to do the work of God effectively, and keeps you healthy and strong. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit and for giving me the ability to pray in tongues. As I pray in tongues today, I light up everywhere, glowing ever so brightly, radiating your goodness, kindness and graciousness to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

You’re The Tabernacle Of His Presence

“너희 몸은 너희가 하나님께로부터 받은 바 너희 가운데 계신 성령의 전인 줄을 알지 못하느냐 너희는 너희 자신의 것이 아니라”(고전 6:19)

구약에서 이스라엘 자손은 언약궤가 담긴 증거의 장막을 옮길 때마다 하나님의 임재를 이곳 저곳으로 운반했습니다.

열왕기상 8:9은 이에 대해 구체적으로 말합니다. “그 궤 안에는 두 돌판 외에 아무것도 없으니 이것은 이스라엘 자손이 애굽 땅에서 나온 후 여호와께서 저희와 언약을 맺으실 때에 모세가 호렙에서 그 안에 넣은 것이더라” 궤 안에는 오직 하나님의 계명만 들어 있었습니다!

오늘 당신의 심령이 하나님의 궤입니다. 하나님의 말씀이 당신의 심령 안에 있습니다. 주님께서 예레미야 31:33에서 하신 말씀을 기억하십시오. “그러나 그 날 후에 내가 이스라엘 집과 맺을 언약은 이러하니 곧 내가 나의 법을 그들의 속에 두며 그들의 마음에 기록하여 나는 그들의 하나님이 되고 그들은 내 백성이 될 것이라 여호와의 말씀이니라” 우리가 거듭났을 때 이 일이 우리 안에서 성취되었습니다.

우리는 하나님의 말씀으로 거듭났고, 말씀과 하나가 되었습니다. 우리는 살아있는 편지입니다. “… 이는 먹으로 쓴 것이 아니요 오직 살아 계신 하나님의 영으로 쓴 것이며 또 돌판에 쓴 것이 아니요 오직 육의 마음판에 쓴 것이라”(고후 3:3) 하나님을 송축합니다!

이제 당신은 살아있는 증거의 궤이자 하나님의 임재의 장막입니다. “… 우리는 살아 계신 하나님의 성전이라 이와 같이 하나님께서 이르시되 내가 그들 가운데 거하며 두루 행하여 나는 그들의 하나님이 되고 그들은 나의 백성이 되리라”(고후 6:16) 이제 하나님은 당신 안에 거하십니다. 하나님의 손이 당신의 손 안에 있고, 하나님의 다리는 당신의 다리 안에 있습니다. 하나님은 당신 안에서 행하시며 당신을 통해 말씀하십니다.

당신이 가는 곳마다 하나님도 가십니다. 당신은 그분 안에 있고, 그분도 당신 안에 계십니다! 당신은 지금 하나님의 임재 안에 있을 뿐만 아니라, 하나님의 임재를 운반합니다. 당신이 나타날 때마다 하나님의 임재가 함께 나타납니다. 골로새서 1:27이 “너희 안에 계신 그리스도, 곧 영광의 소망이니라!”고 말하는 것은 당연합니다.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 내 삶에 있는 아버지의 영광과 내 심령을 아버지의 거처로 삼아주심에 감사드립니다. 아버지의 영광이신 성령께서 내 심령에 거하시고 역사하시므로 내 삶은 아버지의 영광을 위한 것입니다. 따라서, 사탄과 어둠에 관련된 그 무엇도 내 안에 있을 수 없습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

YOU’RE THE TABERNACLE OF HIS PRESENCE

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19)

In the Old Testament, the children of Israel transported the presence of God from place to place every time they carried the Tabernacle of Witness, which contained the Ark of the Covenant.

In 1 Kings 8:9, the Bible tells us specifically that, “There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.” The only thing in the ark was God’s commandments!

Today, your heart is the ark of God; that’s where the Word is. Remember what the Lord said in Jeremiah 31:33: “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” This was fulfilled in us when we were born again.

We were born again by the Word of God, and have become one with the Word; we’re living epistles, “written, not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God—not in tables of stone—but in fleshy tables of the heart” (2 Corinthians 3:3). Blessed be God!

You’re now the living ark of testimony and the tabernacle of His presence. “…for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (2 Corinthians 6:16). He dwells in you now. His hands are in your hands, and His legs are in your legs. He walks in you and talks through you.

Where you go, God goes. You’re in Him and He’s in you! Not only are you now in the presence of God, you carry the presence of God. Every time you show up, you come with the presence of God. No wonder the Bible says in Colossians 1:26, “Christ in you, the hope of glory!”

CONFESSION

Dear Father, I thank you for your glory in my life, and for making my heart your home. My life is for your glory, because the Holy Spirit, who is your glory, lives in and operates from the quarters of my heart. Therefore, Satan and anything associated with darkness have no place in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

He Sides With Us In Prayer

“이와 같이 성령도 우리의 연약함을 도우시나니 우리는 마땅히 기도할 바를 알지 못하나 오직 성령이 말할 수 없는 탄식으로 우리를 위하여 친히 간구하시느니라”(롬 8:26)

오늘의 본문 구절에 등장한 “돕다”라고 단어는 복합적인 그리스어 “시나틸람바노마이(synantilambanomai)”에서 번역되었습니다. 이 단어는 “함께 얻으려고 힘쓰다” 또는 “함께 붙잡다, 함께 반대하다”를 의미합니다. 이 표현은 우리에게 중보에 대한 하나님의 그림을 줍니다. 사실 이것은 하나님께서 우리가 어떻게 중보 사역을 수행하기를 기대하시는 지에 대한 가장 좋은 설명입니다.

이것은 중보 기도 가운데 하나님께서 대적에 맞서 우리를 붙잡아 주신다는 뜻입니다. 예를 들어, 제가 누군가를 상대하여 당신을 붙잡고 있는다면, 이는 제가 당신과 같은 편이라는 뜻입니다.

따라서, 바울이 “성령도 우리 연약함을 도우시나니”라고 말할 때, 이는 스스로 도울 수 없는 사람들을 위해 대적에 맞서는 기도에 성령님께서 우리와 함께 하신다는 의미입니다. “연약함”은 또 다른 그리스어인 “아스테네이아(Astheneia)”에서 번역되었으며, 필요한 부분이 있을 때 어떤 형태의 한계나 약점이 있음을 뜻합니다.

오랜 기간 질병을 앓고 곧 죽음을 앞둔 사람을 상상해 보십시오. 그는 너무 약해져서 더 이상 자신의 치유와 건강에 관한 그리스도의 축복을 받을 수 없습니다. 누가 그를 붙잡고 있습니까? 바로 사탄입니다. 하나님은 그를 치유하기 원하십니다. 그러므로 성령님은 우리와 함께 그 사람을 위해 기도하십니다. 우리는 기도 중에 그 사람의 위치에 서서 대적을 꾸짖습니다.

이는 성령님이 중보자이시며 우리를 통해 그 사역을 하신다는 뜻입니다. 또한 성령님은 저지하거나 문제를 일으키는 분이 아니라는 뜻이기도 합니다. 우리는 성령님을 설득하기 위해 노력하지 않습니다. 성령님은 우리를 도와주고 계십니다.

당신은 어떤 사람의 영혼 구원을 위해 수년 동안 기도해 왔을 수도 있습니다. 당신은 그의 영혼 구원을 위해 하나님을 설득할 필요가 전혀 없습니다. 당신이 그 사람의 마음을 어둡게 하여 하나님을 아는 지식을 받지 못하게 하는 대적에 맞서 기도할 때, 성령님은 당신과 함께 하십니다. 오늘날 성령님의 이 놀라운 축복과 사역의 유익을 누리십시오.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 내가 대적에 맞서 기도할 때 성령님이 나와 함께 하신다는 이 놀라운 성령님의 사역에 감사드립니다. 지금도 내가 기도할 때 성령님께서 내가 아버지의 뜻에 일치되도록, 내가 바르게 기도하고 상황들을 아버지의 완전한 뜻에 맞게 바꾸도록 내 음성을 사용하시니 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HE SIDES WITH US IN PRAYER

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8:26).

The word translated “helpeth” in our opening verse is a complex Greek word: “synantilambanomai.” It means “to strive to obtain together with” or “to take hold together with, against.” This expression gives us God’s picture of intercession; in fact, it’s the best explanation of how God expects us to carry out the ministry of intercession.

This means that in intercession, God takes hold together with us against the adversary. If, for example, I take hold together with you against someone else, it means I’m on the same side with you.

So, when Paul says “the spirit also helpeth our infirmities,” it means the Holy Spirit joins together with us in prayer against the adversary for those who are unable to help themselves. “Infirmities” is from another Greek word, “Astheneia”, which refers to some form of limitation or weakness; when there’s a want of requisite capacity.

Imagine someone who has been sick for a long time and is probably dying. He’s so weak that he no longer can appropriate the blessings of Christ on healing and health for himself. Who’s holding him back? Satan. It’s God who wants to heal him. So, the Holy Spirit joins together with us to pray for that one. We take the place of that person in prayer, and then rebuke the adversary.

This means the Holy Spirit is an intercessor and He carries out that ministry through us. It also means that He’s not the one holding back or causing the problem; He’s not the one we’re trying to persuade. He’s helping us.

Maybe you’ve been praying for years for someone to receive salvation. There’s no need trying to convince Him to save that person. The Holy Spirit sides with you in prayer against the adversary responsible for blinding the mind of that person from receiving the knowledge of God. Take advantage of this awesome blessing and ministry of the Holy Spirit today.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the extraordinary ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life as He sides with me in prayer against the adversary. Even now, as I pray, He takes over my vocal cords and gets me in sync with your will, helping me to pray aright, and causing circumstances to align with your perfect will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Growing by The Word

“갓난 아기들 같이 순전하고 신령한 젖을 사모하라 이는 그로 말미암아 너희로 구원에 이르도록 자라게 하려 함이라”(벧전 2:2)

그리스도 안에서 우리는 이미 모든 것을 가지고 있습니다. 베드로후서 1:3은 말합니다. “그의 신기한 능력으로 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨으니 이는 자기의 영광과 덕으로써 우리를 부르신 이를 앎으로 말미암음이라” 하나님의 신성한 능력이 우리에게 생명과 경건을 위해 필요한 모든 것을 주셨습니다. 그러나 그분을 아는 당신의 지식을 통해서만 그것들을 누릴 수 있습니다.

우리가 주님 안에서 성장하고 우리가 속한 그분의 왕국에 대해 더 많이 알게 될 때, 그분이 우리에게 주신 모든 것을 더 많이 적용하는 법을 배우게 됩니다. 이것은 자녀 양육과 매우 흡사합니다. 자녀는 부모가 소유한 것의 상속자이지만, 그들이 어느 정도 나이가 들고 성숙해질 때까지 온전히 다 누릴 수 없습니다. 이런 사실이 복음에 나와있습니다.

GROWING BY THE WORD

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2).

In Christ we already have everything. 2 Peter 1:3 says “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” His divine power has given us everything we require for life and godliness, but you can only enjoy them through your knowledge of Him.

As we grow in the Lord and become more aware of His Kingdom which we’re a part of, we learn to apply more of all that He’s granted us. It’s very much like raising kids; though they’re heirs of whatever their parents own, they can’t enjoy some of those things until they attain a certain age or level of maturity. That’s the way it is in the Gospel.

The Bible says in Galatians 4:1, “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all.” An heir is someone who is legally entitled to an inheritance, rank, or title. He may be an heir to a throne or an heir to some wealth; but as long as that heir is still a child, he’s not different from a servant. Why is this important?

The word “child” is translated from the Greek word “Nepios” and it refers to one who’s a child mentally, and still unable to communicate or talk intelligently. Thus, a Christian who’s still a child (nepios), though all the blessings and wealth in Christ belong to him, he can’t enjoy them because he’s unable to “talk right.”

The blessings are activated by your words—your confessions—which must be based on God’s Word and not on sensory perceptions. But the “nepios” talks according to his senses. From his words, one can tell he’s not trained. That’s why the Bible says he’s placed under tutors and governors, to be trained until he grows to maturity (Galatians 4:2).

It’s one of the reasons everyone of us must grow by the Word. And one of the ways to ensure this is your active membership in your local church where the Word of God is taught and you’re trained with the Word to help you grow and talk right.

PRAYER

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for all you’ve made available to me in Christ and for giving me your Word to live by. As I yield myself to the tutelage of your Word, more grace is released to me and I experience supernatural progress, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Life Through The Spirit

성령님 없이는 그 누구도 그리스도인의 삶을 살 수 없습니다. 그것은 불가능한 일입니다! 성령님이 없다면 기독교는 또 하나의 죽은 종교일 것입니다. 사도들은 성령을 받아야 했습니다. 예수님도 성령을 받으셔야 했습니다. 초대 교회의 모든 사람들은 성령을 받아야 했습니다. 현재를 살고 있는 우리도 동일합니다. 우리는 반드시 성령을 받아야 합니다.

어떤 사람들은 성령님께서 단지 방언기도하는 것을 돕기 위해 우리 안에 계신다고 생각합니다. 그렇지 않습니다! 성령님은 우리 안에서, 우리를 위해, 우리를 통해 더 많은 일을 하십니다. 예를 들어, 오늘의 본문 구절에서 읽은 내용을 생각해 보십시오. 당신 안에 계신 성령님께서 당신의 죽은 몸에 활력이 있게 하고, 살아나게 하십니다. 그분은 당신의 몸에 생명을 주십니다. 이는 당신의 몸에 그 어떤 죽음도 있어서는 안 된다는 뜻입니다. 생명의 영이신 성령님께서 당신 안에 거하시기 때문입니다. 할렐루야!

이제 당신은 거듭났으므로 인간의 삶에서 영원으로 옮겨졌습니다. 당신은 썩거나, 파괴되거나, 멸망할 수 없다는 뜻입니다. 당신은 실패, 패배, 죽음에 굴복하지 않습니다! 이것이 당신의 의식이 되어야 합니다. 성령으로 말미암은 생명의 의식입니다. 성경이 말하듯이 그리스도가 당신 안에 계시면 몸은 죄로 말미암아 죽은 것이나 영은 의로 말미암아 살아 있습니다(롬 8:10). 영생을 의식하십시오.

LIFE THROUGH THE SPIRIT

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11).

No one can live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit. It’s impossible! Without the Holy Spirit, Christianity would be another dead religion. The Apostles had to have the Holy Spirit; Jesus had to have the Holy Spirit; all of them in the early Church had to have the Holy Spirit. The same is true for us in our day; we must have the Holy Spirit.

Some believe the Holy Spirit is in us only to help us speak in tongues; no! He does much more in us, for us and through us. Consider for example what we read in our opening scripture: the Holy Spirit in you quickens—vitalizes—your mortal body. He gives life to your body. That means there shouldn’t be death in any part of your body, because the Holy Spirit—the Spirit of life—lives in you. Hallelujah!

Many have chanted our opening verse in songs and quoted it in sermons but have never responded to it as they should. The Word always requires your response. Ponder it again: the Holy Spirit in you makes alive your mortal body. Your response, therefore, should be: my body is invigorated with the life of God. I live in absolute health in Christ Jesus. Amen.

God wants you to be bold and never afraid of death. Be like Paul, who, when he was bitten by a venomous serpent, wasn’t moved. Others were waiting for him to fall down and die, but he shook the serpent into the fire. This was what he knew; he was conscious that nothing could hurt or harm the one in whom the Holy Ghost dwells.

Now that you’re born again, you’ve been brought from humanity to eternity, which means you’ve become incorruptible, indestructible, and imperishable; you’re not subject to failure, defeat and death! This should be your consciousness—a consciousness of life through the Spirit just as the Bible says that if Christ is in you, even though the body may be dead because of sin, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10). Be eternal life conscious.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the victorious life you’ve given me. You’ve brought me from death to life and made me incorruptible, indestructible, and imperishable. I’m not subject to death or the destructive system of this world. I’m a partaker of your divine nature; eternal life is at work in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Alive In Christ Jesus

“그러므로 너희가 그리스도와 함께 다시 살리심을 받았으면 위의 것을 찾으라 거기는 그리스도께서 하나님 우편에 앉아 계시느니라 위의 것을 생각하고 땅의 것을 생각하지 말라 이는 너희가 죽었고 너희 생명이 그리스도와 함께 하나님 안에 감추어졌음이라”(골 3:1-3)

저는 수년 전에 하나님을 기쁘시게 하기 위해 어떻게 육신에 대해 먼저 죽어야 하는 지에 관한 많은 책을 읽었던 것을 기억합니다. 저는 제 삶을 다해 하나님을 섬기고 싶었던 젊은 그리스도인이었기 때문에 이런 책들에 관심이 많았습니다. 저는 침대에 누워 이렇게 기도했습니다. “주님, 저는 육신에 대해 죽어서 주님을 기쁘시게 해드리고 싶습니다.” 저는 골로새서 3장을 접할 때까지 이런 식으로 기도하곤 했습니다.

당시 저는 하나님의 말씀을 어린 아이처럼 받는 법을 배웠습니다. 그래서 위의 것에 마음을 두고 땅에 있는 것을 생각하지 말라는 골로새서 3:1-2을 읽고 그렇게 할 마음의 준비가 되어있었습니다. 그러나 3절에 다음과 같은 내용이 나올 것이라고 생각하지 못했습니다. “이는 너희가 죽었고…”

이 말씀은 제 삶을 바꾸었습니다! 그리고 저는 갈라디아서 5:24을 읽게 되었습니다. “그리스도 예수의 사람들은 육체와 함께 그 정욕과 탐심을 십자가에 못 박았느니라” 나는 이 새로운 정보를 가지고 담대히 살기 시작했습니다. 친구들에게 가서 “내가 무엇을 알게 되었는지 아니? 우리는 더 이상 육신에 대해 죽을 필요가 없어. 우리는 이미 죽었기 때문이야. 육신은 이미 십자가에 못 박혔어. 이제 우리는 그리스도 예수 안에서 새로운 생명을 가지고 있어.” 할렐루야!

그리고 로마서 6:11이 모든 내용을 확증합니다. “이와 같이 너희도 너희 자신을 죄에 대하여는 죽은 자요 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님께 대하여는 살아 있는 자로 여길지어다” 우리는 죄에 대해서 죽고 하나님께 대해서는 살아 있습니다! 이는 당신이 주님을 기쁘고 담대하게 섬길 수 있다는 뜻입니다. 당신은 주님을 기쁘시게 하는 삶을 살 수 있습니다.

고백

나는 다스림과 권세의 자리에 그리스도와 함께 앉아 있습니다. 나는 위에서 보고 살며 예수 그리스도를 통해 생명의 영역에서 다스리고 통치합니다. 내 삶은 성령 안에서 행하며 끊임없이 초자연적인 일을 날마다 경험하는 모험이며, 나는 그리스도와 우리의 영광스럽고 영원한 왕국의 실재에 나의 초점을 맞춥니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다.

ALIVE IN CHRIST JESUS

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:1-3).

I remember reading a number of books many years ago, that talked about how we had to first die to the flesh so that we could please God. This got my attention as a young Christian who really wanted to serve God with his life. I would lay on my bed and pray, “Lord I want to die to the flesh, so I can please you.” I prayed this way until I came across Colossians 3.

At this point, I had learnt how to accept the Word of God simply like a child. So, I read the first two verses which told me to set my affections on things above and not on things on the earth, and I was ready to do that. I however wasn’t expecting what came next in the third verse; it says, “For ye are dead….”

This changed my life! Then I came across Galatians 5:24; it says, “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts” (Galatians 5:24). I began to walk tall with this new information. I went to my friends and said, “Guess what I found? We no longer need to die to the flesh, because we already died; the flesh has been crucified; now we have a new life in Christ Jesus.” hallelujah!

Then Romans 6:11 sealed the whole thing! It says, “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” We’re dead to sin but alive to God! This means you can serve the Lord joyfully and confidently; you can live a life that’s pleasing to Him.

CONFESSION

I’m seated with Christ in the place of dominion and power. I live and see from above, reigning and ruling in the realm of life through Jesus Christ. My life is a daily adventure of the supernatural as I walk in the Spirit, and constantly set my affections on Christ and the realities of our glorious eternal Kingdom. Glory to God!

YOU Are The Church

“또 만물을 그의 발 아래에 복종하게 하시고 그를 만물 위에 교회의 머리로 삼으셨느니라 교회는 그의 몸이니 만물 안에서 만물을 충만하게 하시는 이의 충만함이니라”(엡 1:22-23)

오늘의 본문 구절은 예수님께서는 그분의 교회 없이 기능하시지 않는다는 것을 보여줍니다. 교회는 그리스도의 완전한 혹은 충만한 표현입니다. 다시 말해, 당신이 그리스도를 알거나, 그분의 축복을 받거나, 그분과 교제하고 싶다면 바로 교회가 해답입니다.

그렇다면 누가 교회를 구성하고 있습니까? 전세계 모든 그리스도인이 그리스도의 몸입니다. 그들이 어디 있든지 그곳에서 그리스도의 몸이 형성되는 것입니다. 어떤 사람은 “크리스 목사님, 그러면 그곳에 저 혼자만 그리스도인이면 어쩌죠?”라고 물을 수도 있습니다. 그렇다면 당신이 그곳에서 그리스도의 몸된 교회입니다.

에티오피아 내시는 홀로 그리스도를 영접했습니다. 에티오피아 내시가 본국으로 돌아갔을 때, 에피오피아에서 그리스도의 몸은 어디에 있었습니까? 바로 에티오피아 내시 안에 있었습니다. 그는 다른 사람들에게 복음이 전해지기까지 에티오피아에 있는 그리스도의 몸이었습니다.

YOU ARE THE CHURCH

“And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all” (Ephesians 1:22-23).

The opening text shows that Jesus cannot operate without His Church. The Church is the completeness or full expression of Christ. In other words, if you desire to know about Christ, receive His blessings, or make contact with Him, the Church is the answer.

Now, who constitutes the Church? Christians all over the world are the body of Christ. Wherever they are, they form the body of Christ in that location. Someone might ask, “Pastor Chris, what if I’m the only Christian in that location?” Then you’re the Church—the body of Christ—in that place.

The body of Christ is that man or woman in whom Christ dwells. We don’t have to be many to form Him. For example, in Acts 8:26-39, Philip, one of the disciples, was led by the Holy Spirit to approach a high-ranking Ethiopian official—a eunuch. He preached to him and baptized him.

The Ethiopian eunuch received Christ, alone. When the eunuch journeyed back to Ethiopia, where was the body of Christ in Ethiopia? It was in the Ethiopian eunuch; he was the body of Christ in Ethiopia until he preached the Gospel to other people.

As the body of Christ, operating in your world, you’re His fullness. The fullness of His love, grace, glory and power is in you. This understanding eradicates weaknesses and limitations. Paul declares, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).

He didn’t say “we can” but “I can,” because Paul comprehended that he was the body of Christ. This has to be your consciousness. If it’s just two of you in a certain location, both of you are the body of Christ there. If you’re a thousand, all of you are the body of Christ.

But if you’re the only one; anywhere you are, when you operate outside the assembly, outside the Church, you’re the body of Christ there. You’re His full legal representative and representation. That means you’re authorized by Him, and you’re His image or expression. Hallelujah.

CONFESSION

I’m the body of Christ, His full legal representative and representation of Him anywhere I am. And I declare that in the Church, there’s unity, stability, and growth, as we attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

오늘날 세상에는 부정적인 정보가 너무 많기 때문에 말씀에 뿌리를 내리지 않고 기초를 다지지 않은 사람들의 심령에는 두려움이 심겨져 있습니다. 그러나 그리스도인으로서 당신은 산 꼭대기에 살고 있습니다. 당신은 그리스도와 함께 영광과 다스림의 자리에 앉아있기 때문입니다.

그러므로 당신이 괴로운 상황이나 격동의 시기를 보내고 있을 때 그런 환경 위에서 살아가십시오. 어떤 전염병이 당신의 몸에 침투했다는 말을 들었더라도 그것은 당신에게 어떤 영향도 미치지 못할 것입니다. 두려워하기를 거절하십시오. 예수님께서는 누가복음 10:19에서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “내가 너희에게 뱀과 전갈을 밟으며 원수의 모든 능력을 제어할 권능을 주었으니 너희를 해칠 자가 결코 없으리라”(눅 10:19)

당신이 신성한 본성에 참여한 자라는 의식을 가지고 사십시오. 당신 안에 있는 생명은 신성합니다. 그 생명은 피로 유지되는 것이 아니라 당신 안에 살아 계신 하나님의 영으로 인해 유지됩니다. “예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이의 영이 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이가 너희 안에 거하시는 그의 영으로 말미암아 너희 죽을 몸도 살리시리라”(롬 8:11) 이 구절은 약속이 아닌 중요한 실재입니다. 당신 안에 성령님이 거하시기 때문입니다. 그분이 당신의 육신의 생명이십니다.

당신은 불치병에 걸렸다는 진단을 받았더라도 두려워하지 마십시오. 당신 안에 있는 신성한 건강이 주도권을 잡을 때까지 말씀을 선포하십시오. 당신의 심령 가운데 있는 믿음으로 계속 고백하십시오. “예수님을 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 그 동일한 영이 내 안에 거하시며 내 육신에 활력을 주십니다. 나는 신성한 건강 가운데 삽니다!”

증상이나 주변 상황과 관계없이 믿음으로 굳건히 서서 말씀을 선포하십시오. 말씀은 이미 당신의 승리를 선언하고 있습니다. 사탄과 어둠의 권세는 당신의 발 아래 있습니다. 당신이 말씀과 성령을 통해 아픔, 질병, 죽음 위에 살고 있음을 선포하십시오. 할렐루야!

고백

내 삶은 영광과 아름다움을 위한 것이며 내 길에는 생명, 성공, 승리, 건강이 있습니다. 내 안에 하나님의 생명이 있으므로 나는 이 세상의 파괴적인 요소들을 다스리며 삽니다. 나는 말씀과 성령으로 아픔, 질병, 연약함 위에서 승리하며 삽니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HAVE NO FEAR

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4).

There’s so much negative information in the world today and this has instilled fear in the hearts of those who aren’t rooted and grounded in the Word. But as a Christian, you live on the mountaintop, because you’re seated together with Christ in the place of glory and dominion.

Therefore, when you face distressing situations, turbulent times, live above them. Even if you were told a certain infectious disease has gotten into your system; it shall have no power over you. Refuse to fear. In Luke 10:19, Jesus said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Live with the consciousness that you’re a partaker of the divine nature. The life in you is divine; it’s not sustained by blood but by the Spirit of God who lives in you: “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11). This verse isn’t a promise but a vital reality now that the Holy Spirit lives in you: He’s the life of your physical body.

Maybe you’ve even been diagnosed with an incurable disease as you read this; have no fear. Declare the Word until the divine life in you gains the ascendancy. With faith in your heart, keep affirming, “The same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead, lives in me and has invigorated my physical body. I walk in divine health!”

Stand your ground in faith, declaring the Word, irrespective of the symptoms and the circumstances around you. The Word already declares your victory. Satan and the powers of darkness are under your feet; Even now, declare that you live victoriously through the Word, and by the Spirit, over and above sickness, disease and death. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

My life is for glory and beauty; and in my path is life, success, victory and health. I walk in dominion over the debilitating elements of this world because I have the life of God in me. I live by the Word and the Holy Spirit triumphantly above sickness, disease and infirmity, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
