기도와 말씀

Prayer And The Spoken Word

“구원의 투구와 성령의 검 곧 하나님의 말씀을 가지라”(엡 6:17)

에베소서 6:10-18에서 사도 바울이 열거한 모든 것들은 전신갑주의 방어적인 역할을 하지만, 유일한 공격 무기는 “성령의 검”, 곧 하나님의 “레마”입니다. 레마는 당신의 입에서 나온 하나님의 말씀입니다. 이는 때와 시기를 맞춰 영감을 받고 당신이 고백한 하나님의 말씀입니다.

이것은 요한계시록 1:16에서 사도 요한이 기록한 주님에 대한 설명과 유사합니다. “…그의 입에서 좌우에 날선 검이 나오고” 요한계시록 2:16에서도 비슷한 표현을 볼 수 있습니다. “…내가 네게 속히 가서 내 입의 검으로 그들과 싸우리라.” 이것은 하나님의 입에서 칼이 튀어나왔다는 뜻이 아니라, 하나님의 말씀을 말하는 것입니다!

이제 에베소서 6장의 17절과 18절 사이(밑줄 친 부분)의 연결부를 확인해보십시오. “구원의 투구와 성령의 검 곧 하나님의 말씀을 가지라 모든 기도와 간구로 항상 기도하라 성령을 보시고 모든 성도를 위하여 모든 인내와 간구로…”

이 구절은 당신이 말씀을 선포하고 원수를 대적하는 동시에, 모든 성도를 위하여 기도하라고 말씀합니다! 사도 바울은 기도와 당신의 입에서 고백 되어진 말씀을 강조했습니다. 그러므로 항상 하나님의 말씀을 선포하고, 하나님의 백성이 강건하고 담대하여 세계 열방의 변화의 주역으로 끊임없이 자리를 잡기를 기도하십시오. 하나님을 찬양합니다.

사랑하는 아버지, 나는 하나님의 전신갑주로 갖춰지고 무장되었습니다. 나는 주님과 그분의 능력 안에서 강건합니다. 내 입술에서 나오는 당신의 말씀이 환난을 이기며, 의와 구원을 생산하며, 어두움과 죄악과 사단의 모든 속임수를 정복합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

PRAYER AND THE SPOKEN WORD

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”(Ephesians 6:17).

In Ephesians 6:10-18, everything the Apostle Paul listed was a protective part of our armour. The only offensive tool is “the sword of the Spirit,” which is the “Rhema” of God—the Word of God that’s spoken from your mouth—the out-breathing of the inspired Word of God for the hour and the season.

This is akin to the Apostle John’s description of the Lord in Revelation 1:16: “…out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword….” We find a similar expression in Revelation 2:16: “…I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.” This doesn’t mean a sword protrudes out of His mouth; rather, it refers to the Word of God!

Now, observe the connection between the 17th and the 18th verses of Ephesians 6 in the underlined portion: “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

It says while you’re declaring the Word, getting on the offensive against the adversary, pray for all saints! He’s emphasizing prayer and the spoken word. So, declare God’s Word always, and pray that God’s people are strengthened and emboldened to continually take their place as agents of change in the nations of the world. Praise God.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I’m fully equipped and fortified with the whole armour of God, strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Your Word from my lips prevails against adverse circumstances, producing righteousness and salvation, subduing darkness and evil and all manipulations of Satan, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

성경에서 하나님의 백성들이 병사의 수와 무기에 있어 대적들에게 압도당했던 일화를 수 차례 볼 수 있습니다. 아사 왕의 시대에 유다는 에티오피아 왕 제라에게 완전히 압도되었습니다. 그가 백만명의 병사들과 300대의 전차를 가지고 유다를 침략했기 때문입니다.

아사는 주님께 부르짖었고 주님께서 그에게 초자연적 승리를 주셨습니다(대하 14:12). 또 유다 왕 여호사밧의 이야기를 보십시오. 유다는 자신을 공격할 준비가 된 세개의 적국인 암몬, 모압, 세일 산에 둘러 쌓여 있었습니다. 왕은 모든 유다 사람들을 모으고 기도와 금식으로 여호와를 찾았고, 하나님께서는 선지자를 통하여 말씀하셨습니다. “이 전쟁에는 너희가 싸울 것이 없나니 대열을 이루고 서서 너희와 함께 한 여호와가 구원하는 것을 보라 유다와 예루살렘아 너희는 두려워하지 말며 놀라지 말고 내일 그들을 맞서 나가라 여호와가 너희와 함께 하리라 하셨느니라 하매”(대하 20:17).

하나님은 “내일 그들을 치러 나가라!”고 그들에게 어떻게 전쟁에 임해야 할지 매우 정확하게 알려주셨습니다. 뿐만 아니라, 하나님은 적진의 정확한 위치를 드러내시고 그들을 무찌를 전략까지 알려 주셨습니다. 여호사밧은 하나님이 주신 전략대로 찬양을 부를 레위인들을 가장 앞에 세워 거룩함의 아름다움을 찬양하게 하였습니다.

그 결과 여호사밧과 온 유다는 큰 승리를 거두었습니다. 생각해보십시오. 칼은 단 한자루도 들지 않았지만 하나님의 백성은 세개의 적국을 상대로 압도적인 승리를 기록했습니다. 이것이 그리스도 예수 안에서 새로운 피조물이 된 우리의 실재입니다. 우리는 패배할 수 없습니다. 우리는 현장에 도착하기도 전에 이미 전쟁에서 승리하였습니다. 하나님은 우리가 하나님께 찬양을 드릴 것을 기대합니다. 이것이 우리가 교회에서 해야 할 일입니다. 교회는 하나님께 드리는 찬양으로 가득 차야만 합니다.

이 세상에서 당신이 무슨 일을 마주하던 상관없습니다. 찬양으로 충만하십시오. 주님을 경배하십시오. 전쟁은 이미 승리했기 때문입니다! 성경이 이렇게 말한 것은 당연합니다. “내 형제들아 너희가 여러 가지 시험을 당하거든 온전히 기쁘게 여기라”(약 1:2). 또한 로마서 8:37은 말합니다. “그러나 이 모든 일에 우리를 사랑하시는 이로 말미암아 우리가 넉넉히 이기느니라.”

기도

주님, 내가 매일 경험하는 승리와 성공에 감사드립니다. 당신은 청렴하시며 영원하시고, 보이지 않으시는 유일한 하나님이십니다. 당신께 존귀와 영광과 위엄과 권세와 권능을 이제와 영원히 드립니다. 아멘.

THE BATTLE HAS BEEN WON

“…help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee”(2 Chronicles 14:11).

In the Scriptures, we find certain instances where God’s people were overwhelmed by their adversaries in numbers and weapons. In the days of King Asa, Judah was completely outnumbered by Zerah, the Ethiopian King, who invaded Judah with an army of a million men and three hundred chariots.

Asa cried out to the Lord and the Lord gave him supernatural victory (2 Chronicles 14:12). Then you find the story of Jehoshaphat, the King of Judah. Judah was surrounded by three enemy nations that were ready to attack her—Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir. The king gathered all Judah together to seek the Lord in prayer and fasting, and God said through a prophetic message, “…fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you” (2 Chronicles 20:17).

God told them how to approach the war and was definite: He said, “Tomorrow, go out against them!” Not only that, He revealed the exact location of the enemies’ camp and gave them the strategy to defeat them. Employing the strategy God gave them, Jehoshaphat organized and placed singers, the Levites, in front to praise the beauty of God’s holiness.

The result was a great victory for Jehoshaphat and all Judah. Think about it; not a single sword lifted, yet God’s people recorded an overwhelming victory against three enemy nations. This is our reality as new creatures in Christ Jesus; we’re undefeatable. The battle was already won before we came on the scene. What God expects is for us to give Him praise. This is what we must do in our churches. Our churches have to be filled with songs of praise to God.

It makes no difference what you face in this world, be full of praise, and worship the Lord, because the battle has been won! No wonder He says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations” (James 1:2). Then in Romans 8:37, He says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”

PRAYER

I thank you, Lord, for the victories, triumphs and successes that I experience always. You’re incorruptible and immortal, invisible, the only God; to you be honour and glory, majesty, might and dominion, power and authority, now and forever. Amen.

The Power Of The Spirit In Your Words

우리가 예배와 찬양과 감사를 드릴 때 부르는 찬양의 내용이 그리스도의 신약성경과 일치하지 않는다면 생명의 결과를 낳지 못할 것입니다. 얼마나 크게 소리치든 성령이 없으면 그것은 공허한 외침입니다. 성령이 모든 차이를 만듭니다.

당신이 올바른 말을 하면 성령께서 그 말 위에 역사하십니다. 예를 들면 우리가 서 있는 곳에서 수천 마일 떨어진 누군가에게 “나음을 받으라”라고 말하면 중국에 있는 맹인이 시력을 얻게 되고, 날 때부터 걷지 못한 몽골에 있는 어떤 이가 걷기 시작합니다.

이러한 일은 우리의 말에 있는 성령의 능력으로 인해 발생합니다. 말씀은 시기나 한계에 제한받지 않습니다. 말은 존재하는 실체입니다. 말은 만질 수 있고 창조적인 에너지로 가득 차 있습니다. 그러므로 “글쎄, 내가 이런 것들을 말했을 때 나는 진심이 아니었어”라고 말하지 마십시오. 영의 영역에서는 당신이 말하는 모든 것이 살아 있고 활력을 가지고 있습니다. 당신의 말은 당신에게 득이 될 수도 실이 될 수도 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 오직 말씀 곧 진리만을 말하길 강조하는 것입니다.

성경은 말합니다. “네 말로 의롭다 함을 받고 네 말로 정죄함을 받으리라”(마 12:37). 부주의하게 단어를 선택하지 마십시오. 흥겨운 노래나 하나님께 경배를 드릴 때 말씀을 알고, 생각하고, 말하고, 노래하십시오! 당신의 삶이 하나님의 진리와 계속하여 일치하도록 하십시오. 그렇게 할 때 당신은 당신의 삶에 나타난 축복의 결과들로 놀라게 될 것입니다.

기도

THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT IN YOUR WORDS

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”(John 6:63).

The excitement during our worship, praise and thanksgiving would not produce life if the contents of the songs aren’t delivered in words that are consistent with the New Testament of Christ. No matter the shouting, without the Spirit, it’s empty shout. The Spirit makes the difference.

When you speak the right words, the Spirit acts upon them. For example, it’s the reason we can speak from where we are and say to someone who’s thousands of miles away, “Be healed,” and a blind person in China will receive his sight, or someone in faraway Mongolia who’s been crippled from birth starts walking.

Such things happen because of the power of the Spirit in our words. Words recognize no seasons or barriers. Words are things; they’re tangible and potent with creative energy. So, don’t say, “Well, I wasn’t serious when I said it”; in the realm of the spirit, everything you say is living and active. It’ll work for you or against you. That’s the reason we emphasize speaking the Word only; speaking truth.

The Bible says, “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned” (Matthew 12:37). Don’t use words carelessly. Know, think, talk and sing the Word—whether in merrymaking or in praise to God! Let your life be consistent with God’s truths, and you’d be amazed at the resultant blessings in your life.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for giving me your Word to live by. I utter words that are consistent with your will, plans and purposes continually, knowing that my words are filled with power to produce results for your glory. I deal and speak wisely always; my words inspire faith in others, for healings, salvation and blessings, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Name Above ALL

“하늘에 있는 자들과 땅에 있는 자들과 땅 아래에 있는 자들로 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고”(빌 2:10)

오늘 본문구절은 엄청납니다! 위 구절은 모든 무릎이 예수님께 무릎 꿇어야 한다고 말합니다. 이 분은 누구입니까? 모든 무릎을 꿇어야 하는 이름을 가진 이 예수님은 누구이십니까? 자신에게 모든 무릎이 꿇기를 말씀하신 단 한 분은 바로 여호와이십니다. “땅의 모든 끝이여 내게로 돌이켜 구원을 받으라 나는 하나님이라 다른 이가 없느니라 내가 나를 두고 맹세하기를 내 입에서 공의로운 말이 나갔은즉 돌아오지 아니하나니 내게 모든 무릎이 꿇겠고 모든 혀가 맹세하리라 하였노라”(사 45:22-23).

우리는 시편 138:2에서 “여호와”라는 이름이 예수님의 이름 안에 담겨 있음을 알 수 있습니다. “내가 주의 성전을 향하여 예배하며 주의 인자하심과 성실하심으로 말미암아 주의 이름에 감사하오리니 이는 주께서 주의 말씀을 주의 모든 이름보다 높게 하셨음이라.” 예수님은 말씀이 사람의 모습으로 오신 분이십니다. 성경은 그분이 “모든 정사와 권능과 강력과 통치와 이 세상뿐만 아니라 오는 세상에서 불리는 모든 이름보다 훨씬 위에”(엡 1:21 NIV) 계시다고 말합니다. 우리에게 이 예수의 이름을 의지하고 사용하도록 주셨고 그 이름은 항상 역사합니다.

어떤 사람들은 그들이 자고 있을 때 어떤 힘에 의해 가위에 눌린 이야기를 합니다. 그들은 정체모를 그것을 없애기 위해 고군분투하고 예수 이름을 부르려고 애썼으나, 그들의 입이 떨어지지 않았다고 합니다. 하지만 그들이 예수님의 이름을 부르는 순간, 그들의 가슴을 누르던 힘은 순식간에 사라졌다고 말합니다. 할렐루야!

우리가 예수님의 이름을 부를 때, 영적인 영역에서 어떠한 일이 일어납니다. 당신을 위하여 천사가 현장에 파견됩니다. 귀신들이 무릎 꿇고, 한계가 파괴됩니다. 상황이 당신에게 유리하게 변화합니다. 오늘 그 이름을 부르십시오. 당신의 도시를 위해 부르십시오. 당신의 나라를 위해 부르십시오. 이 세상을 위해 부르십시오! 우리는 너무나 큰 보물을 받았고 그것을 사용해야만 합니다. 그것은 예수님의 이름입니다!

THE NAME ABOVE ALL

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth”(Philippians 2:10).

Our opening verse is so profound! It says every knee should bow to Jesus. Who could this be? Who is this Jesus that at His Name every knee has to bow? There’s only One who claims that every knee should bow to Him, and that’s the Lord God: “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear” (Isaiah 45:22-23).

We then find in Psalm 138:2 that the name “Jehovah” is encapsulated in the very Name Jesus: “…for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” Jesus is the Word magnified and personified. The Bible says He’s “far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come” (Ephesians 1:21 NIV). We’ve been given that Name to live by, to use, and it works all the time.

Some people have narrated how, when they were sleeping, some force came over them and pushed on their chest. They struggled to get rid of whatever it was to no avail and tried to call the Name of Jesus, but their mouths were heavy. However, the moment they were able to get the Name of Jesus out of their mouths, the thing disappeared instantly. Hallelujah!

When we call the Name of Jesus, things happen in the realm of the spirit. Angels are dispatched on your behalf. Demons bow and limitations are destroyed. Situations turn around for your good. Call that Name today. Call it over your city. Call it over your state. Call it over your country. Call it over this world! We’ve been given a treasure so great, and it behooves us to use it. It’s the Name of Jesus!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the power in the Name of Jesus, the Name above all names. By the power of that Name, I declare the dominion of truth, righteousness, justice and peace over all nations. I declare that I’m living the higher life of glory you prearranged for me; I dwell in health, safety, peace and prosperity today and always. Amen.

경외함으로 하나님을 섬기십시오

Serve God With Reverence

“내가 그의 아들의 복음 안에서 내 심령으로 섬기는 하나님이 나의 증인이 되시거니와 항상 내 기도에 쉬지 않고 너희를 말하며”(롬 1:9)

당신이 사도 바울의 생애를 공부해보면, 그가 어떻게 그토록 성공적인 사역을 했는지 명확하게 알 수 있을 것입니다. 바울은 영으로부터 나온 진정한 경외함으로 하나님을 섬기는 것이 어떤 것인지 이해하고 있었습니다. 이것이 바로 요한복음 4:23-24에서 예수님이 말씀하신 것 아닙니까? 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “하나님은 영이시니 예배하는 자가 영과 진리로 예배할지니라.” 이것이 바로 바울이 살았던 삶입니다.

바울이 “나는 내 영으로 하나님을 섬기노라”고 말했을 때, 그는 자신이 매일 어떻게 살았는지에 대해서 말한 것입니다. 이제 당신은 바울이 빌립보서 3:3에서 “영으로 하나님께 경배하는 … 우리가 곧 할례자니라”고 말한 것을 이해할 수 있습니다. 그의 영은 말씀과 성령님의 교제를 통해 조정되었고, 이는 바울을 참 예배자로 만들었습니다.

때로 그 경외심은 엎드려 절하는 모습으로 표현될 수 있지만, 당신의 심령의 엎드림이 더 중요합니다. 많은 사람들은 하나님을 경외한다는 것이 어떤 의미인지 잘 이해하지 못합니다. 어떤 그리스도인들은 그들이 사람이 아닌 하나님께 말하고 있다는 사실을 잊은 채 불손하게 방언을 말합니다.

성경은 방언을 말하는 자는 사람에게 하는 것이 아니요 하나님께 하는 것이라고 말합니다. 그는 영으로 하나님께 비밀을 말하는 것입니다(고전 14:2). 그렇다면 하나님의 자녀가 왜 그토록 불손한 자세로 하나님께 말합니까? 일부 그리스도인들의 그러한 불손함은 그들의 삶과 말과 행동에 드러납니다.

항상 하나님의 임재를 의식하십시오. 이 인식은 당신의 태도뿐 아니라 진정한 예배를 드리는 경외하는 삶을 유지하도록 도와줍니다.

기도

주님, 위대하심과 권세와 영광과 위엄이 당신의 것입니다. 당신만이 유일한 하나님이시기 때문입니다! 당신은 만물의 머리로 높임 받기에 합당하십니다. 나는 나의 영으로부터 복음과 거룩함과 진리 안에서 당신을 섬깁니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

SERVE GOD WITH REVERENCE

“For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers” (Romans 1:9).

When you study the life of the Apostle Paul, it’ll be very clear to you why he was so successful in ministry. Paul understood what it meant to serve God with, and from, your spirit—with true reverence. Isn’t that akin to what Jesus said in John 4:23-24? He said, “God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth, for the Father seeks such to worship Him.” This was the life Paul lived.

When he said, “I serve God with my spirit,” he was simply stating how he lived every day. Now you can understand why he said in Philippians 3:3, “We are the true circumcision that worship God in the spirit….” There was a conditioning of his spirit through the Word and fellowship of the Holy Spirit that made him a true worshipper.

This is the life we’ve been called to live. We’re to serve and worship the Lord with, and from, our spirits, with the reverence that He deserves. The Bible says, “The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne…” (Revelation 4:10). They showed reverence to the Lord in worship.

Sometimes, that reverence could be an outward prostration, but the prostration of the heart is more important. Many don’t understand what it is to have reverence for God. Some Christians speak in tongues irreverently, forgetting that they’re speaking to God and not man. The Bible says he that speaks in an unknown tongue isn’t speaking to men, but unto God: in the spirit, he’s speaking mysteries to God (1 Corinthians 14:2). Why then should a child of God speak to God so irreverently? Such irreverence among some Christians reflects in their lives, in their words and actions.

Always have the consciousness of the presence of God. It’ll help you maintain not just an attitude, but a life of reverence, where you give true worship to God.

PRAYER

Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendour, for you alone are God! You’re exalted as head over all, and I serve you with my spirit in the Gospel, in holiness and truth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

예수님께서 마태복음 10:7-8에서 이렇게 말씀하신 것은 놀라운 일이 아닙니다. “…병든 자를 고치며 죽은 자를 살리며 나병환자를 깨끗하게 하며 귀신을 쫓아내되 너희가 거저 받았으니 거저 주라.” 당신은 가지고 있기 때문에 줄 수 있습니다! 할렐루야! 그렇기 때문에 베드로는 미문이라는 성전 문 앞에 있던 걷지 못하는 사람에게 이렇게 말할 수 있었습니다. “…내게 있는 이것을 네게 주노니 나사렛 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 일어나 걸으라 하고”(행 3:6). 그리고 그 사람은 영광스럽게 치유 받았습니다.

베드로는 그가 줄 것이 있음을 알았습니다. 그는 그가 가진 것에 대단한 확신을 갖고 있었습니다. 오늘 당신은 베드로가 가졌던 것과 똑같은 성령님을 가지고 있습니다. 당신 안에 능력이 있습니다. 예수님께서 말씀하셨습니다. “오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고…”(행 1:8). 당신 안에 있는 능력을 인정하고, 확신하고, 그 능력을 매일 역사하게 하십시오. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

고백

THERE’S POWER IN YOU

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”(Ephesians 3:20).

You’re full of power. There’s authority and there’s power. We have authority in the Name of Jesus, but we have power in the person and presence of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!

You have, not only the highest authority, but also the extraordinary ability of God within your spirit. It doesn’t flow from Heaven to you; you got it when the Holy Spirit came to make His home in you. Hallelujah! All of the power of divinity is at work in you.

No wonder Jesus said in Matthew 10:8, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” You have it, and that’s why you can give it! Hallelujah! That’s why Peter could say to the lame man at the gate of the temple called Beautiful, “…such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6); and the man was gloriously healed.

Peter knew he had something to give. He had great confidence in what he had. Today, you have the same Holy Spirit that Peter had. You have power in you. Jesus said, “And you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” (Acts 1:8). Recognize, affirm, and put the power in you to work every day. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

The Holy Spirit came to live in me; therefore, the Kingdom, power, glory, righteousness and dominion of Christ are manifested in and through me. I’m full of power! And with this power, I heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils and do mighty works for the glory of God.

He Delights In Our Prayers

“그 날에는 너희가 아무 것도 내게 묻지 아니하리라 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희가 무엇이든지 아버지께 구하는 것을 내 이름으로 주시리라 지금까지는 너희가 내 이름으로 아무 것도 구하지 아니하였으나 구하라 그리하면 받으리니 너희 기쁨이 충만하리라”(요 16:23-24)

기도는 하나님의 영의 능력이 우리 세상에 임하도록 불러오는 방법입니다. 그렇기 때문에 그분은 우리에게 항상 기도하며 세상에 변화를 만들도록 인도하십니다. 선지자들과 예수님과, 사도들은 모두 기도하셨고, 우리에게 기도하라고 가르치셨습니다. 우리가 기도하지 않고는 결코 볼 수 없는 많은 결과가 있습니다. 기도는 하나님이 우리와 관계를 맺는 방식입니다. 하나님께서는 우리에게 기도하라고 말씀하셨습니다.

이사야 45:19은 하나님께서 기도를 어떻게 생각하시는지 알려 줍니다. “나는 공개적으로 담대한 약속들을 선포하노라. 나는 캄캄한 땅에서 내가 무슨 말을 하는지 아무도 모르게 속삭이지 않노라. 그리고 나는 이스라엘에게 내가 줄 계획이 없는 것을 구하라 하지 않았노라! 나 여호와는 의를 말하고 정직한 것을 알리느니라”(TLB). 그분은 우리에게 주지 않을 것을 위해 기도하라고 하지 않으십니다. 하나님은 응답하실 계획이시기 때문에 우리에게 기도하라고 말씀하신 것입니다.

어떤 사람들은 이 사실을 모르기 때문에 기도한 것이 이루어지지 않은 것처럼 보일 때 낙심합니다. 어떤 사람들은 응답을 기대하지도 않고 ‘종교적으로’ 기도합니다. 그들이 알아야 하는 것은 하나님의 영광이 우리의 기도응답에 있다는 것입니다. 하나님은 우리의 기도에 응답하시는 것을 즐거워하십니다. 하나님은 우리의 소망과 꿈들을 이루고, 이로 인해 그분을 찬양하는 모습을 보기 원하십니다.

당신이 기도할 때, 응답을 기대하는 담대한 믿음을 가지십시오. 주님은 당신의 기도가 응답될 때 영광을 받으시기 때문입니다. 요한복음 15:8의 예수님의 말씀이 생각납니다. “너희가 열매를 많이 맺으면 내 아버지께서 영광을 받으실 것이요 너희는 내 제자가 되리라.” 당신이 의 안에서 열매 맺고 생산적이며 효과적인 삶을 사는 것이 그분의 기쁨입니다.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 기도할 수 있는 특권과 기회를 주셔서 감사합니다. 하나님께서 나의 기도에 응답하시는 걸 기뻐하신다는 생각이 나에게 기도를 더욱 즐거운 일로 만듭니다. 내가 삶을 살아갈 때 의지할 수 있는 특별한 예수 이름을 주셔서 감사합니다. 그 이름으로 나는 승리하며 살아가고, 날마다 초자연적인 결과를 경험합니다. 아멘.

HE DELIGHTS IN OUR PRAYERS

“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full”(John 16:23-24).

Prayer is our way of bringing the power of the Spirit of God to bear on our world. That’s why He leads us always to pray and effect changes in our world. The prophets prayed; Jesus prayed; the apostles prayed, and they all taught us to pray. There are lots of results we’ll never see except we pray. It’s God’s way of relating with us; He asked us to do it.

Isaiah 45:19 shows us what God thinks when it comes to prayer: “I publicly proclaim bold promises; I do not whisper obscurities in some dark corner so that no one can know what I mean. And I didn’t tell Israel to ask me for what I didn’t plan to give! No, for I, Jehovah, speak only truth and righteousness” (TLB). He’ll never ask us to pray for something He didn’t plan to give to us. He tells us to pray because He plans to answer.

Some people don’t know this; so they get discouraged when they pray and it seems what they’re praying about hasn’t materialized. Some others pray “religiously,” not expecting to receive answers. If only they knew that the glory of God is in answering our prayers. He delights in answering our prayers. He lovesto see us actualize our hopes and dreams, and then we praise Him for it.

Have the audacity of faith to expect answers when you pray, because the Lord derives glory from answering your prayers. It brings to mind the words of Jesus in John 15:8: “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” His joy is for you to have a fruitful, productive and effective walk in righteousness.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the privilege and opportunity of prayer. The very thought that you delight in answering my prayers makes prayer more exciting for me. Thank you for giving me the extraordinary Name of Jesus to live by. With it, I live triumphantly and experience supernatural results every day. Amen.

The Deity Of Christ

“유대인들이 이런 이유로 더욱더 그분을 죽이고자 하니라. 이는 그분께서 안식일을 어길 뿐 아니라 하나님이 자기 아버지라고 말하여 자기를 하나님과 동등하게 만드셨기 때문이더라.”(요 5:18)

예수님이 진정 누구이신지 발견하기 전까지, 당신은 그분을 안다고 할 수 없습니다. 예수님은 아도나이(Adonai), 곧 주 하나님이십니다! 이것은 사람의 생각으로 이해하기에 엄청난 개념입니다. 유대인들이 예수님을 받아들이는데 어려움을 겪었던 것은 어쩌면 당연합니다. 그들은 예수님이 하나님을 그분의 아버지라고 부르며 자신을 하나님과 동등하게 여긴다고 비난했습니다.

유대인들은 누군가 “하나님은 나의 아버지이시다”고 말할 때, 이것은 하나님이 그 사람을 낳으셨다는 말이 아님을 알았습니다. 하나님은 영이시기 때문입니다. 그들은 예수님 자신이 인간으로 나타나신 여호와라고 말씀하신 것임을 이해했습니다! 요한복음 10:30에서 예수님은 그들을 더욱 화나게 하는 또 다른 놀라운 선언을 하셨습니다. 예수님은 “나와 아버지는 하나”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 즉, “우리는 하나이며 동일하다. 네가 나를 봤다면 아버지를 본 것이다”라는 뜻이었습니다.

이내 유대인들은 극도로 흥분하여 다시 돌을 들어 예수님을 치려고 하였습니다. 그러나 예수님께서는 그들의 말을 끊으시고 물으셨습니다. “내가 아버지로 말미암아 여러 가지 선한 일로 너희에게 보였거늘 그 중에 어떤 일로 나를 돌로 치려 하느냐?” 유대인들이 대답하였습니다. “선한 일로 말미암아 우리가 너를 돌로 치려는 것이 아니라 신성모독으로 인함이니 네가 사람이 되어 자칭 하나님이라 함이로라”(요 10:32-33).

예수님께서 고발당한 두 가지 죄목을 주목하십시오. 첫째는 신성모독입니다. 예수님께서 하나님을 자기 아버지라 하셨기 때문입니다. 둘째는 강탈죄입니다. 예수님이 사람의 모습을 하고 자기 자신을 하나님이라 칭하셨기 때문입니다. 그렇기 때문에 예수님은 강도들과 함께 정죄를 받으셨습니다. 그러나 성경은 빌립보서 2:5-6에서 말합니다. “너희 안에 이 생각을 품을지니 곧 그리스도 예수님 안에도 있던 생각이라. 그분은 하나님의 형체로 계시므로 하나님과 동등함을 강탈로 여기지 아니하셨으나.”

이 구절은 하나님과 자신을 동등하다고 선언하신 예수님을 도둑이라 정죄했던 유대인들을 향한 정확한 응답이었습니다. 예수님은 하나님의 형상으로 계셨기 때문에 자신이 하나님과 동등한 것이 하나님을 강탈하는 것이라고 생각하지 않으셨습니다. 이 성경 구절의 “형체”에 대한 그리스어는 “모프(morphe)”인데, 이는 “본성”이라는 뜻입니다. 즉, 예수님은 하나님의 본성 또는 본질 안에 있었습니다. 그분은 사람처럼 보였지만, 하나님의 형상으로 계셨습니다. 본질적으로 예수님은 하나님이십니다! 이것은 신약성경에 나타난 예수 그리스도의 신성에 대한 가장 명확한 설명 중 하나입니다. 예수님의 신성에 대한 주장은 옳습니다.

THE DEITY OF CHRIST

“Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God”(John 5:18).

Until you discover who Jesus really is, you can’t walk with Him. Jesus is Adonai; He’s the Lord God! The very thought of this blows the mind. No wonder the Jews had difficulty accepting Him. They accused Him of making Himself equal with God because He said God was His Father.

They knew that when someone says, “God is my Father,” it doesn’t mean God gave birth to that person, because God is a Spirit. They understood what Jesus was saying: He Himself was Jehovah in human manifestation! In John 10:30, He made another staggering declaration that made them angrier. He said, “I and my Father are one.” In other words, “We’re one and the same; if you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen the Father.”

Now, the Jews got really crazy and they took up stones again to stone Him. But Jesus interrupted them and asked, “…Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?” They replied, “…For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God” (John 10:32-33).

Notice the two charges brought against Jesus. The first one was blasphemy for saying God was His Father. The second was robbery, because being a man, He made Himself God. He was therefore condemned with robbers. But the Bible says in Philippians 2:5-6, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.”

This verse was a direct response to the Jewish charge against Jesus that He was a thief for declaring Himself to be equal with God. Jesus didn’t think He was robbing God by being equal with God, because He was in the form of God. The Greek word for “form” is “morphe,” which means “nature.” In other words, He was in the very nature or essence of God. Though He looked like a man, He was in the form of God. In essence, Jesus is God! This is one of the cleverest communications in the New Testament about the deity of Jesus Christ. His claim to deity is right.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, you’re the great God of glory and the complete embodiment of Deity! Thank you for revealing your divine personality to me. I celebrate your Lordship and rulership over my life and over all of creation. You’re the Most High God, and you alone are worthy of all praise, worship and adoration. Amen.

성령의 비

The Rain Of The Spirit

“그 후에 내가 내 영을 만민에게 부어 주리니 너희 자녀들이 장래 일을 말할 것이며 너희 늙은이는 꿈을 꾸며 너희 젊은이는 이상을 볼 것이며”(욜 2:28)

오늘의 본문구절이 마지막 때의 성령의 움직임을 물로 비유한 것은 매우 중요합니다. “내가 내 영을 만민에게 부어 주리니…” 선지자 이사야는 이렇게 말했습니다. “마침내 위에서부터 영을 우리에게 부어 주시리니…”(사 32:15). 호세아 6:3은 말합니다. “…그분께서는 비같이 곧 땅에 내리는 늦은 비와 이른 비같이 우리에게 임하시리라.”

또한 스가랴 10:1은 말합니다. “너희는 늦은 비가 내리는 때에 주께 비를 구하라. 그리하면 주께서 빛나는 구름들을 일으키사 그들에게 소낙비를 주시고 또 모든 사람에게 들의 풀을 주시리라.” 그러므로 성령은 마지막 때에 비와 같이 위로부터 부어질 예정이었습니다. 오순절 날에는 이 비가 하늘에서부터 베드로와 다른 모든 사도에게 부어졌고, 그들은 성령으로 충만해졌습니다. “그들이 다 성령의 충만함을 받고 성령이 말하게 하심을 따라 다른 언어들로 말하기를 시작하니라”(행 2:4).

그때부터 제자들은 담대하게 하나님의 말씀을 선포하였습니다. 어느 날 베드로가 로마의 백부장인 고넬료의 집에서 설교할 때, 말씀을 듣고 있던 모든 자에게 성령이 “내려왔다”고 성경은 말합니다(행 10장). “베드로가 이 말을 할 때에 성령이 말씀 듣는 모든 사람에게 내려오시니”(행 10:44).

그리고 요한복음 7:38에서 우리는 주님의 아름다운 말씀을 봅니다. “나를 믿는 자는 성경 기록이 말한 것 같이 그의 배에서 생수의 강들이 흘러나오리라 하시니라.” 당신이 성령을 받았다면, 이 말씀은 곧 당신에게도 해당되는 말입니다. 베드로처럼 당신은 성령의 능력으로 나가 다른 사람들에게 복음을 전할 수 있습니다. 그러면 성경의 시대에 그러하셨던 것처럼, 성령께서 그들에게 내려오실 것입니다. 사슬이 부서지고 질병이 사라질 것입니다. 저주로부터 자유케 되고 많은 사람이 구원을 받을 것입니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

우리는 물로 가득 찬 구름이고, 우리의 배에서는 생수의 강이 흘러나옵니다! 말씀에서 말한대로, 우리를 통해 의와 구원이 이 땅에서 싹틉니다. “하늘이여 위로부터 공의를 비처럼 뿌리며 구름이여 의를 부을지어다 땅이여 활짝 열려서 구원을 싹트게 하고 공의도 함께 자라나게 할지어다 나 여호와가 이 일을 창조하였느니라”(사 45:8)

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 내 삶에서 일어나는 성령님의 사역에 감사드립니다. 성령님은 나의 가장 깊은 곳에서 생수의 강을 쏟아 부으십니다. 나는 살아있는 샘이고, 다른 사람들에게 생명을 줍니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE RAIN OF THE SPIRIT

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions”(Joel 2:28).

It’s quite significant how our opening verse likens the move of the Spirit in the last days to water: “…I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh….” Prophet Isaiah puts it this way: “Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high…” (Isaiah 32:15). Hosea 6:3 says “…and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.”

Also, in Zechariah 10:1, the Bible says, “Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” So, the Spirit was going to be “poured” from on high in the last days like rain. On the day of Pentecost, this rain poured out from Heaven on Peter and all the other apostles and they were filled with the Holy Ghost: “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:4).

From then on, they spoke the Word of God with boldness. One day, while Peter was preaching in the house of Cornelius, a Roman Centurion, the Bible saysthe Holy Ghost “fell” on all of them that heard the Word (Acts 10:44). He fell on them like rain.

Then in John 7:38, we read the beautiful words of the Master; He said, “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” If you’ve received the Holy Spirit, this refers to you. Just like Peter, you can go out in the power of the Spirit to share the Gospel with others and the Holy Spirit will fall on them like He did in Bible days. Chains will be broken and sicknesses will disappear; curses will be lifted and many will receive salvation. Glory to God!

We’re clouds full of water and out of our bellies flow rivers of living water! Through us, righteousness and salvation spring up in the earth, just as the Bible says: “You heavens above, rain down righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness grow with it; I, the LORD, have created it” (Isaiah 45:8 NIV).

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life, pouring out rivers of living water from my innermost being. I’m a living fountain, and I give life to others, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
