그리스도가 우리의 빛입니다

Christ Our Light

“그 안에 생명이 있었으니 이 생명은 사람들의 빛이라”(요 1:4)

요한복음 8:12에서 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “나는 세상의 빛이니 나를 따르는 자는 어둠에 다니지 아니하고 생명의 빛을 얻으리라.” 그런 뒤 요한복음 9:5에서는 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “내가 세상에 있는 동안에는 세상의 빛이로라.” 그러므로 누구든지 그리스도 없이 산다는 것은 끔찍한 어둠과 깊은 절망, 혼란, 그리고 아름다움이 없는 곳에서 살아간다는 의미입니다. 빛은 분명하게 보여주고, 방향성과 아름다움을 주며, 환히 비춥니다.

당신은 그리스도 밖에서는 자신이 누구인지조차 알 수 없습니다. 오직 그분의 빛 아래에서만 당신의 진정한 정체성과 성품이 드러납니다. 성경은 생명의 원천이 주님께 있으며 그분의 빛 안에서 우리가 빛을 볼 것이라고 말합니다(시 36:9). 할렐루야!

세상의 모든 빛을 사용하여 당신의 삶을 밝히려고 하면 당신은 실패할 것입니다. 잘못된 것들을 보게 되기 때문입니다. 그러나 주님 안에서, 그분의 빛 가운데 볼 때 당신은 하나님의 영광을 봅니다. 당신은 자신이 탁월하고 영광으로 충만한 것을 봅니다. 그분의 빛은 그리스도 안에서 당신이 누구이며, 무엇을 가지고 있고, 무엇을 할 수 있는지 보여줍니다. 그분의 빛은 당신 안에 위대하신 분이 살고 계신 것을 보여줍니다.

시편 기자가 시편 119:105에서 “주의 말씀은 내 발에 등이요 내 길에 빛이니이다”라고 말한 것은 당연합니다. 그리스도와 그분의 말씀은 하나입니다. 말씀은 그리스도 안에서 당신의 재능과 축복을 보여줄 뿐 아니라, 당신의 삶을 향한 하나님의 완전한 뜻 가운데 당신을 인도하고 그 뜻을 성취할 수 있는 지혜를 줍니다.

당신은 하나님의 말씀을 통해 삶과 사역과 직장 등에 대한 세부 사항과 당신이 설정한 목표를 실현하기 위한 분명한 방법을 인도받습니다. 성경은 그리스도가 하나님에게서 나셔서 우리에게 지혜가 되셨다고 말합니다. 이 사실을 더욱 인식하십시오. 그러면 당신은 더 위대한 통찰력과 지식으로 기능할 것이며, 항상 성공과 건강과 번영과 평안과 힘 안에서 살 것입니다!

고백

그리스도가 나의 빛이고 지혜이며 힘이기 때문에 나의 길에는 불확실함이나 혼란이 없습니다. 나는 영원한 위대함과 탁월함 위에 세워진 내 삶을 향한 하나님의 완전한 뜻 가운데 행하며 그 뜻을 성취합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

CHRIST OUR LIGHT 

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not (John 1:4-5). 

In John 8:12, Jesus said, “…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Again, in John 9:5, He said, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” For anyone to live without Christ, therefore, is to live in gross darkness, utter hopelessness, confusion, and be void of beauty. Light defines; gives direction, beauty, and illumines.

You can’t even know yourself outside Christ; only under His light is your true identity and personality revealed. The Bible says with Him is the fountain of life: in His light shall we see light (Psalm 36:9). Hallelujah!

If you use all the lights in the world to define your life, you’re sunk, because you’re sure to see the wrong things. But in Him, in His light, you see the glory of God. You see that you’re excellent and full of glory.

His light shows who you are, what you have, and your abilities in Christ. It shows you have the greater One living in you.

No wonder the Psamist said in Psalm 119:105, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Christ and His Word are one. Apart from showing you your endowments and blessings in Christ, the Word guides you in God’s perfect will for your life, imparting to you the wisdom to fulfil it.

Through His Word, you receive guidance as to specific details about your life, your ministry, career, etc., and definite steps to take in actualizing your set goals. The Bible says Christ has been made unto us wisdom from God. Become more conscious of this, and you’ll function with greater insight and knowledge, walking in success, health, prosperity, peace, and strength always! 

CONFESSION 

There’re no uncertainties and confusion in my path, because Christ is my light, my wisdom, and my strength. I’m walking in, and fulfiling God’s perfect will for my life, established in the path of greatness and excellence forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

얼마 전 한 남자가 그의 네 살 난 아이를 욕조에서 목 졸라 죽인 뉴스가 전 세계에 알려졌습니다. 그는 아이를 죽이고 나서 눈물을 흘리며 “제가 왜 그랬는지 모르겠어요!” 하고 소리쳤습니다. 물론 그는 그 일로 감옥에 갔습니다. 그는 이렇게 말했습니다. “제 자신을 압도하는 어떤 힘을 느꼈고, 저는 제 아들을 목 졸랐어요.”

또한 16세 소년이 집에 들어가 자신의 어머니와 아버지를 총으로 쏴서 죽인 일이 알려졌습니다. 소년은 어리둥절한 채로 그곳에 서서 자신이 왜 그랬는지 모르겠다고 말했습니다. 이는 지옥의 아들과 딸, 남자와 여자, 남편과 아내, 아버지와 어머니에 대해 말하고 있는 것입니다! 그들이 지옥에서 왔다고 말하는 이유는 무엇입니까? 그들은 귀신에 사로잡혔기 때문입니다. 악한 영들이 그들에게 들어가 그런 끔찍한 행동을 하게 했습니다. 하나님께서 우리에게 지도자들을 위해 기도하라고 하신 이유는 그들 역시 그런 악한 영향력으로부터 안전하지 않기 때문입니다.

지도자들 안에 악한 영이 들어갈 수 있으므로 당신은 그들을 위해 기도해야 합니다. 성경은 누가복음 22:3에서 악한 영이 가룟 유다에게 들어갔다고 말합니다. 그 일이 일어났을 때, 그는 예수님과 제자들이 있던 곳에서 나와 대제사장들에게 가서 하나님의 아들인 예수님을 배반하기 위한 준비를 마쳤습니다.

유다는 십자가에 달린 예수님을 보고 그분이 기적적으로 십자가에서 내려오실 것이라고 생각했습니다. 그러나 예수님은 그러지 않으셨습니다. 마태복음 27:3-5은 말합니다. “그 때에 예수를 판 유다가 그의 정죄됨을 보고 스스로 뉘우쳐 그 은 삼십을 대제사장들과 장로들에게 도로 갖다 주며 이르되… 유다가 은을 성소에 던져 넣고 물러가서 스스로 목매어 죽은지라.” 이 구절이 의미하는 바는 무엇입니까? 사탄이 바로 유다가 그런 일을 하도록 만든 자입니다.

이것이 오늘날 일부 지도자에게 일어나고 있는 일입니다. 그들은 국가, 국민, 기업 및 시스템에 해롭고, 피해를 주고, 손상시키는 조치를 취하고 있습니다. 당신은 “저는 제 지도자들을 신뢰합니다.”라고 말할 수도 있습니다. 그러나 그들은 결코 자신들이 계획하지 않은 정책에 서명하거나 야비한 일들을 하도록 악한 세력에 의해 영향을 받고 압도될 수 있습니다. 그러므로 당신은 그들을 위해 반드시 기도해야 합니다.

그들이 어떠한 압력에도 불구하고 옳은 일을 하려는 의지와 갈망과 담대함을 가지도록 기도하고, 부패하고 타락한 영향력에 굴복하지 않도록 기도하십시오. 사람들에게 해를 끼치는 이기적이고 악한 계획을 밀어붙이는 사람들이 없어지도록 기도하는 일 역시도 바른 행동입니다. 다른 무엇보다도, 사람들과 지도자들의 구원을 위해 기도하십시오.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나는 오늘 지도자들이 당신의 신성한 뜻과 계획에 따라 사람들을 이끌고, 국민에게 유익한 바른 결정을 내리며, 나라의 평화와 번영을 세우도록 그들에게 지혜와 명철이 주어지기를 기도합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

PRAY FOR WORLD LEADERS 

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty (1 Timothy 2:1-2). 

I t was all over the news some time ago how a man strangled his four-year-old child to death in a bathtub. After killing him, he screamed with tears, “I don’t know why I did it!” Of course, he went to prison for it. In his words, he said, “I felt a power beyond myself and I strangled my own son.”

Also reported, was a sixteen-year-old boy who walked into his home, killed his mother and father with gunshots. Just standing there, bemused, he said he didn’t know why he did it. You’re talking about sons and daughters, men and women, husbands and wives, dads and moms from hell! Why are they from hell? It’s because they’re possessed of demons; evil spirits have entered into them to carry out such despicable acts.

That’s why God tells us to pray for leaders because they aren’t left out of such demonic influence. You’ve got to pray for them because an evil spirit can enter into them. The Bible tells us in Luke 22:3 that an evil spirit entered into Judas Iscariot. When that happened, he walked out of where Jesus and the disciples were, went to the chief priests to finalise arrangements to betray Jesus, the Son of God.

When Judas saw Jesus hanging on the Cross, he thought Jesus would miraculously come off the Cross, but He didn’t. Matthew 27:3-5 tells us, “When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders…So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.” 

What does that tell you? Satan caused him to do it.

That’s what’s happening to some leaders today; they’re taking steps that are detrimental, damaging and harmful to their nations, people, businesses and the systems. You might say, “I trust my leaders”; but they can be influenced and overpowered by these demonic forces to sign policies or do despicable things they never planned to do. Therefore, you must pray for them.

Pray that they’ll have the will, desire, and boldness to do what’s right in spite of pressures, and refuse to yield to corrupting and negative influences. It’s not out of place to also pray for the removal of those who push their selfish or satanic agendas at the detriment of their people. Most importantly, pray for the salvation of men and leaders alike. 

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I pray for my leaders today, that wisdom and understanding be granted them to lead in accordance with your divine will and plan, and to make the right decisions that’ll benefit the people, and cause peace and prosperity to be established, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

거룩하고, 흠이 없고, 죄가 없습니다

Holy, Faultless And Guiltless

“이는 곧 물로 씻어 말씀으로 깨끗하게 하사 거룩하게 하시고 자기 앞에 영광스러운 교회로 세우사 티나 주름 잡힌 것이나 이런 것들이 없이 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하려 하심이라”(엡 5:26-27)

주 예수님은 흠 없는 영광스러운 교회를 위해 오십니다. 당신은 흠 없는 교회라는 것이 가능한지 궁금할 수도 있습니다. 물론 가능합니다! 예수님의 속량 사역은 그 일을 위한 것이었습니다. 골로새서 1:21-22은 말합니다. “전에 악한 행실로 멀리 떠나 마음으로 원수가 되었던 너희를 이제는 그의 육체의 죽음으로 말미암아 화목하게 하사 너희를 거룩하고 흠 없고 책망할 것이 없는 자로 그 앞에 세우고자 하셨으니.”

예수님이 당신을 대신하여 죗값으로 그분의 육체를 희생함으로써 이제 당신은 그분의 임재 안에 거합니다. 당신과 아버지 사이에는 어떠한 적대감도 없습니다. (에베소서 2:13-16을 읽어보십시오.) 우리 하늘 아버지의 참된 본성과 성품을 아는 것이 얼마나 위로가 되는지요! 그분은 우리를 그분 자신께 데려 오셨습니다. 야고보서 1:5에서 “꾸짖지 아니하시는” 하나님이라고 말할 때, 이는 하나님은 당신을 나무라거나 비난하지 않으신다는 의미입니다. 그분은 어떤 것으로도 당신을 비난하지 않으십니다. 그분은 당신의 죄를 당신에게 돌리지 않으십니다(고후 5:19).

당신은 비난으로부터 자유합니다. 당신은 의로워졌습니다. 바울이 로마서 8:33-34에서 다음과 같이 말한 것은 당연합니다. “누가 능히 하나님께서 택하신 자들을 고발하리요 의롭다 하신 이는 하나님이시니 누가 정죄하리요 죽으실 뿐 아니라 다시 살아나신 이는 그리스도 예수시니…” 그리고 38절과 39절에서 최고조에 이릅니다. “내가 확신하노니 사망이나 생명이나 천사들이나 권세자들이나 현재 일이나 장래일이나 능력이나 높음이나 깊음이나 다른 어떤 피조물이라도 우리를 우리 주 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 하나님의 사랑에서 끊을 수 없으리라.”

그리스도 예수는 이미 당신을 위해 죽으셨습니다. 그분은 당신을 대신하여 정죄 받으셨습니다. 그러므로 아무도 당신을 정죄해서는 안 됩니다(롬 8:1). 그리스도가 당신의 의입니다(고전 1:30). 누가 당신을 비방하든지 상관없이 당신은 하나님 앞에 거룩하고, 흠이 없고, 죄가 없습니다. 예수님이 당신의 모든 죄를 담당하셨기 때문입니다. 그분이 바로 하나님께서 당신에게 잘못을 묻지 않으시는 이유입니다. 할렐루야!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 당신의 숭고한 희생을 통해 내가 당신의 임재 안에 의롭게 설 수 있게 해 주셔서 감사합니다. 나는 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님의 의이며, 당신이 보시기에 책망할 것이 없고 흠잡을 곳이 없습니다. 나를 그리스도와 함께 영원히 다스리는 이 새로운 의의 삶으로 인도해 주셔서 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HOLY, FAULTLESS AND GUILTLESS 

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:26-27). 

The Lord Jesus is coming for a glorious Church, one without blemish, a faultless Church. You say, “is that possible?” Absolutely! That’s what His redemptive work was all about. Colossians 1:21-22 (CEV) says, “You used to be far from God. Your thoughts made you his enemies, and you did evil things. But his Son became a human and died. So God made peace with you, and now he lets you stand in his presence as people who are holy and faultless and innocent.” 

Through the sacrifice of His own body as the sin-payment on your behalf, you now dwell in His presence. There’s no enmity between you and the Father (Read Ephesians 2:13-16). How comforting it is to know the true nature and character of our heavenly Father! He brought us to Himself. James 1:5 says, He “…upbraideth not…,” which means He doesn’t reproach or criticize you. He doesn’t blame you for anything. He doesn’t count your sins against you (2 Corinthians 5:19). You’re free from accusation; you’ve been justified.

No wonder Paul got poetical in Romans 8:33-34 saying, “Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect?

It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth?

It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again….”

Then in verses 38 and 39, he climaxed, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” 

Christ Jesus already died for you; He was condemned in your place. Thus, no one should condemn you anymore (Romans 8:1). Christ is your righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30). It doesn’t matter who accuses you; you’re holy, faultless and guiltless before God, because Jesus took responsibility for all your sins. He’s the reason God doesn’t charge you with wrong. Hallelujah! 

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I thank you for the ultimate sacrifice by which I now stand justified in your presence. I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, unblameable and irreprovable in your sight. Thank you for ushering me into this new life of righteousness, where I reign and rule with Christ forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Persecuted For His Sake

“이방인들은 너희가 그들과 함께 같은 방탕에 휩쓸리지 않는 것을 이상하게 생각하고 너희를 비방하나”(벧전 4:4, 한글킹제임스)

베드로전서 4장에서 사도 베드로는 하나님의 말씀을 따라 사는 것에는 비웃음을 당하는 대가가 따른다는 것을 강조합니다. 많은 사람들처럼 당신이 제멋대로 방탕하게 살지 않는다면, 그들은 의아해하며 당신을 모욕하고 비난하고 비방할 것입니다.

확대번역본은 오늘의 본문 구절을 이렇게 표현합니다. “그들은 이제 당신이 그들과 함께 방탕하게 살지 않는다는 것에 대해 놀라고 이상하게 여깁니다. 그래서 그들은 [당신을] 욕합니다.” 당신이 예수님을 ‘따르기’ 때문에 사람들이 당신에게 하는 악한 행동이나 말에 신경 쓰지 말고, 절대 부끄러워하지 마십시오. 당신과 그리스도의 연합이 최고의 영광입니다.

성경은 “선을 행함으로 고난 받는 것이 하나님의 뜻일진대 악을 행함으로 고난 받는 것보다 나으니라”(벧전 3:17)고 말합니다. 그러므로 주님을 위해 자신을 구별하십시오. 그리스도의 생각으로 자신을 무장하십시오. 어떤 박해를 당하든지 주님을 지지하는 것을 부끄러워하지 마십시오. 주님은 당신을 지지하고 구원해 주셨습니다. 그러므로 당신도 반드시 그분을 옹호해야 합니다. 당신이 고립되거나 배척당하는 것에 대해 염려하지 마십시오.

모든 사람이 당신을 버릴지라도 예수님은 당신을 사랑하십니다. 말씀에 따르면 그분은 당신을 버리지 않으십니다. 그분은 당신 안에 계시며 영원히 당신과 함께 하십니다. “내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라”(마 28:20). 그분은 누가복음 21:33-36에서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “천지는 없어지겠으나 내 말은 없어지지 아니하리라 너희는 스스로 조심하라 그렇지 않으면 방탕함과 술취함과 생활의 염려로 마음이 둔하여지고 뜻밖에 그 날이 덫과 같이 너희에게 임하리라 이 날은 온 지구상에 거하는 모든 사람에게 임하리라 이러므로 너희는 장차 올 이 모든 일을 능히 피하고 인자 앞에 서도록 항상 기도하며 깨어 있으라.”

우리는 마지막 때에 살고 있으며 전 세계에서 지금 일어나는 사건들은 이러한 예언들이 우리의 눈 앞에서 성취되고 있는 것입니다. 그러나 당신이 반드시 대답해야 하는 질문이 있습니다. 히브리서 2:3은 말합니다. “우리가 이처럼 큰 구원을 소홀히 여기고서야 어떻게 피할 수 있으리요?”

하나님의 말씀에 따라 살고 그 무엇도 당신이 자신의 구원을 무시하거나 등한시하게 만들지 않도록 하십시오. 예수님은 마태복음 5:11-12에서 말씀하셨습니다. “나로 말미암아 너희를 욕하고 박해하고 거짓으로 너희를 거슬러 모든 악한 말을 할 때에는 너희에게 복이 있나니 기뻐하고 즐거워하라 하늘에서 너희의 상이 큼이라 너희 전에 있던 선지자들도 이같이 박해하였느니라”(마 5:11-12).

고백

사랑하는 아버지, 나는 말씀 안에서 성령으로 행하며, 악한 자들의 비방하는 말에 흔들리거나 동요하지 않습니다. 나는 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님의 의이고 의의 열매들을 맺도록 창조된 그분의 작품입니다. 나는 육체와 함께 그 정욕과 탐심을 십자가에 못 박았습니다. 사탄은 내게 상관할 바가 없습니다! 할렐루야!

PERSECUTED FOR HIS SAKE 

Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you (1 Peter 4:4). 

In 1 Peter 4, the Apostle Peter emphasizes that living in accordance to God’s Word comes with a price of being ridiculed. Many will be surprised when you don’t join them in the same wild and reckless living; and so they’ll insult, vilify and speak evil of you.

The Amplified Classic translation of the opening text tells us, “They are astonished and think it very queer that you do not now run hand in hand with them in the same excesses of dissipation, and they abuse [you].” Irrespective of the evil or abuses they haul at you because you ‘follow’ Jesus, never be ashamed. Your association with Christ is the greatest honour ever.

The Bible says, “For it is better to suffer for doing good, if this should be God’s will, than for doing evil” (1 Peter 3:17). So, distinguish yourself for the Lord.

Arm yourself with the same mind?the mind of Christ.

Don’t be ashamed to stand up for the Lord no matter the persecutions. He stood up for you, and saved you; so, you must stand up for Him. Don’t be concerned that you may be isolated or ostracized.

Jesus loves you even if all others forsake you, and according to the Word, He won’t forsake you. He’s in you and always with you: “…lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:20). Read His words in Luke 21:33-36: “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth….” 

We’re in the end times, and the current happenings around the world are a fulfilment of these prophecies, right before our eyes. But here’s a question you must answer in Hebrews 2:3: “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation?….” Live according to God’s Word and let nothing cause you to ignore or neglect your salvation. Jesus said in Matthew 5:11-12, “Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” 

CONFESSION 

I’m undaunted and unmoved at the vilifying or slanderous words of the wicked, as I walk on in the Word, by the Spirit. Worship With Knowledge

“그러나 참된 경배자들이 아버지께 영과 진리로 경배드릴 때가 오나니 바로 지금이라. 이는 아버지께서 자기에게 경배드리는 그런 자들을 찾으심이니라.”(요 4:23, 한글킹제임스)

당신이 진정 예수님을 알 때 그분을 향한 당신의 경배나 찬양이 의미 있어집니다. 단지 멜로디가 좋아서 부르는 것이 아니라, 주님의 위대함과 자애로움에 대한 지식과 참된 교제 가운데 마음 깊은 곳으로부터 풍성하게 흘러나올 것입니다.

경배하는 동안 어떤 악기 연주나 멜로디가 없어도, 당신의 심령은 주님으로 가득 차고 도취되어서 영적인 곡조를 지으며 영으로부터 노래가 터져나올 것입니다.

모든 종교의 사람들이 찬양하고, 경배하고, 기도한다는 사실을 기억하십시오. 중요한 것은 경배하는 대상입니다. 그들은 누구에게 기도합니까? 그들은 기도 가운데 무슨 말을 하고 있습니까? 만일 그들이 응답을 받았다면, 그 응답은 무엇입니까? 당신이 드리는 경배나 찬양은 말씀을 아는 지식으로부터 나와야 합니다. 시편 기자는 말합니다. “나의 기도가 주의 앞에 분향함과 같이 되며 나의 손 드는 것이 저녁 제사 같이 되게 하소서”(시 141:2). 또한 디모데전서 2:8은 말합니다. “그러므로 각처에서 남자들이 분노와 다툼이 없이 거룩한 손을 들어 기도하기를 원하노라.”

WORSHIP WITH KNOWLEDGE 

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth: for the father seeketh such to worship him (John 4:23). 

When you really know Jesus, your worship or praise to Him becomes meaningful.

It wouldn’t just be because the song is melodious; rather, it’ll effuse profusely from the deep recesses of your heart, in true fellowship and knowledge of His greatness and loving kindness. There may not be any instrumental music or melody while you’re worshipping, but your heart will be so enraptured and entwined with Him, with outbursts of spirit songs in spiritual melody.

Remember, people praise, worship and pray in all religions. The question is, who is the object of their worship? Who are they praying to? What are they saying to Him? And what might be His response, if any? Your worship or praise has to come from a place of knowledge of the Word. The Word says, “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands be as the evening sacrifice” (Psalm 141:2). Also, in 1 Timothy 2:8, the Bible tells us, 

“I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” 

As you lift your hands in worship or prayer, you’re offering to Him a sacrifice of sweet-smelling savour.

Go ahead and practise this now. Worship the Father from your spirit and according to His Word, with your hands lifted up. 

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I worship you according to your Word, and sing praises to you from my spirit. May your Name be glorified, praised and adored in my life and in all the earth. I lift my hands to you right now, in holiness and fellowship of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name.

Amen.

Glory Through The Church

“우리 가운데서 역사하시는 능력대로 우리가 구하거나 생각하는 모든 것에 더 넘치도록 능히 하실 이에게 교회 안에서와 그리스도 예수 안에서 영광이 대대로 영원무궁하기를 원하노라 아멘”(엡 3:20-21)

에베소서 1장에서 사도 바울은 성령으로 말미암아, 하나님께 있어서 그리스도와 교회가 어떤 존재인지를 설명했습니다. 그는 또한 교회는 종교단체들의 집합체가 아니며, 오히려 영광으로 가득 찬 그리스도의 몸이라고 설명했습니다.

그는 에베소서 3:6에서 “이는 이방인들이 복음으로 말미암아 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 상속자가 되고 함께 지체가 되고 함께 약속에 참여하는 자가 됨이라”고 말했습니다. 고린도전서 12:27은 우리가 그리스도의 몸이며 지체라고 말합니다. 우리가 어떻게 그리스도의 몸의 지체가 되었습니까? 그리스도 안으로 침례를 받아 새롭게 태어남으로써 그리스도의 몸의 지체가 되었습니다. 오늘의 본문 구절은 이렇게 말합니다. “교회 안에서와 그리스도 예수 안에서 영광이 대대로 영원무궁하기를 원하노라 아멘.”

“대대로”라고 번역된 그리스어는 “genea(게네아)”이며 세대를 뜻합니다. 즉, 세대에서 세대로 하나님은 예수 그리스도에 의해 교회 안에서 영광을 받으신다는 의미입니다. 예수님의 사역과 그분의 바람은 항상 아버지를 영광되게 하는 것이고, 예수님은 교회를 통해 그 일을 이루십니다.

온갖 박해와 위협적인 반대에도 불구하고 우리는 복음 안에서 그리고 복음을 위하여 강하고 담대합니다. 하나님의 영광이 우리 안에 있고 우리에게 임했기 때문입니다. 그 영광으로 우리는 아픔과 질병과 가난을 이기고 생명의 영역에서 승리하며 다스립니다. 예수 그리스도의 교회는 영광스럽고, 승리하고, 번성하고, 다스림과 지혜와 능력으로 충만합니다. 할렐루야!

기도

GLORY THROUGH THE CHURCH 

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen (Ephesians 3:20-21). 

In the first chapter of the book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul, by the Spirit, began to explain who Christ is, with respect to God, and who the Church is. He also went on to explain why the Church isn’t a conglomeration of religious groups; rather, it’s the Body of Christ, full of glory.

In Ephesians 3:6 NKJV, he explained “that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel.” 1 Corinthians 12:27 tells us that we’re the Body of Christ and members in particular. How did we become members of the Body of Christ? It was by being baptized into Christ at the New Birth. Our theme verse says, “Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” 

The Greek word translated “ages” is “genea”; it means a generation. That means from generation to generation, the Father is glorified in the Church, by Jesus Christ. The desire and ministry of Jesus is to glorify the Father always, and this He does through the Church.

Even in the face of diverse persecution and belligerent oppositions, we remain bold and courageous for and with the Gospel, because His glory is in, and upon us. With that glory, we triumph over sickness, diseases, poverty, and reign victoriously in the realms of life. The Church of Jesus Christ is glorious, triumphant, flourishing, and full of dominion, wisdom and power.

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ, and I bring the Lord glory every day. Christ in me is the glorylife. I manifest the perfect glory of God, the power, beauty, and excellence of Christ that’s inherent in my spirit. 승리에서 승리로

Victory Unto Victory…

“그러나 그리스도의 개선 행렬에 언제나 우리를 참가시키시고, 그리스도를 아는 지식의 향기를 어디에서나 우리를 통하여 풍기게 하시는 하나님께 감사를 드립니다.”(고후 2:14, 새번역)

당신은 매일 승리하고 특별한 성공을 이룰 수 있습니다. 확대번역본은 위의 구절을 이렇게 표현했습니다. “항상 그리스도 안에서 우리를 승리로 [그리스도의 승리의 트로피로서] 인도하시고, 우리를 통해 하나님의 지식의 향기가 퍼지고 분명하게 드러나게 하시는 하나님께 감사하노라.” 휴거를 준비하는 이 시기에, 당신은 자신이 속한 도시에서만 승리하는 것이 아니라 가는 모든 곳에서 승리할 것입니다!

VICTORY UNTO VICTORY 

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him (2 Corinthians 2:14 NIV). 

You can win every day, and achieve extraordinary success. The Amplified version of the scripture above says, “But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere.” 

As we get ourselves prepared in these days before the Rapture, you’re not only going to be triumphant in your city but everywhere you go.

1 John 5:4 says, “For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith” (AMPC).

The question is, What’s your mentality? How do you see yourself? When we say Christ has given your life a meaning, that’s what we’re talking about, because you’ve come to a place where you realize life isn’t for defeat; your journey is victory unto victory. That’s our heritage in Christ.

It makes no difference that the world is in crises; there should never be fear in you. Jesus said, “…be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

He overcame the world for you. To be born again is to be born of God, and it says whatever is born of God is victorious over Satan, the world and its failing system. Hallelujah!

Get excited when you face troubles or crises, because you’re certain it’ll all turn out for your good.

This is because, in our kingdom, we win only, and make progress from glory to glory. We dominate this physical world with the principles of our heavenly Kingdom. Hallelujah! 

CONFESSION 

I’m triumphant over the world, because I’m born of God. When the fierce storms and pressures of life billow against me, I refuse to be moved, for I’m more than a conqueror. I refuse to be overwhelmed by anything in this life, because the greater One lives in me and causes me to triumph always, and in every place. Hallelujah!

우리의 말이 무기입니다

Our Weapons Of Words

“… 아버지께 감사하게 하시기를 원하노라 그가 우리를 흑암의 권세에서 건져내사 그의 사랑의 아들의 나라로 옮기셨으니”(골 1:12-13)

오늘의 성경 구절에 따르면, 우리는 사람들이 흑암의 권세 아래 있거나 하나님의 사랑의 아들의 왕국에 있거나 둘 중 하나라는 것을 알 수 있습니다. 당신은 거듭나서 하나님의 사랑의 아들의 왕국으로 옮겨지기 전까지 흑암의 권세 아래 있으며, 사탄이 당신과 관련된 모든 것의 신입니다.

예수님이 그분을 체포하러 온 유대인들에게 하신 말씀을 떠올려 보십시오. “너희는 너희 아비 마귀에게서 났으니 너희 아비의 욕심대로 너희도 행하고자 하느니라”(요 8:44). 이것이 우리가 어둠의 권세에 영향을 받고 지배 당하는 국가 지도자들과 통치자들을 종종 발견하는 이유입니다. 그런 지도자들이 악한 결정을 내리고 억압적인 정책을 시행하는 이유는 그들이 악한 세력의 영향을 받고 있기 때문입니다. 그러므로 우리는 지도자들이 어둠의 세력이 아닌 하나님의 영에 영향을 받도록 그들을 위해 기도해야 합니다.

“전쟁”이라는 단어는 그리스어로 “스트라테이아(strateia)”입니다. 이것은 우리가 전략실(strategizing office)에 있으면서 성령으로 원정군을 이끌고 있다는 것을 알려 줍니다. 기도 가운데 우리가 선포할 때, 하나님의 천사들과 하나님의 영은 그 말들이 무기가 되게 합니다. 우리의 말이 요새를 무너뜨릴 수 있도록 강력하게 만듭니다!

그러므로 그리스도인으로서 당신이 얼마나 막중한 책임을 지고 있는지를 인식하고 국가 지도자들을 위해 중보하십시오. 그들을 위해 영 안에서 자주 열렬히 기도하십시오. 어둠의 세력들이 그들에게 영향을 끼치지 못하도록 권세 있는 말로 꾸짖으십시오. 그리고 그들의 심령이 주님께로 돌이켜져서 주님의 뜻을 행하도록 선포하십시오.

우리는 국가 지도자들이 하나님의 지혜와 의의 영향을 받도록, 하나님의 말씀에 따라 그들을 위해 반드시 이렇게 기도해야 합니다.

기도

OUR WEAPONS OF WORDS 

Giving thanks unto the Father…Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Colossians 1:12-13). 

From the scripture above, we see that there’re only two groups of people: those under the power of darkness and those in the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. Until you’re born again and transferred into the Kingdom of God’s dear Son, you remain under the power of darkness, and Satan becomes the god of all that concerns you.

Remember, Jesus said to the Jews who came to arrest Him, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do…” (John 8:44). This is why we oftentimes find leaders and rulers of nations that are influenced and controlled by the principalities of darkness. When such leaders make wicked decisions and enforce repressive policies, it’s because they’re being influenced by evil forces. That’s why we pray for leaders, so that instead of being influenced by the forces of darkness, they’d be influenced by the Spirit of God.

The Bible says, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority…” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Then, 2 Corinthians 10:4 says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.” 

The word “warfare” is “strateia” (Greek) and it’s telling us that we’re in the strategizing office, leading a military expedition in the Spirit. When we speak words in prayer, angels of God and the Spirit of God take those words and weaponize them. That’s what makes them mighty to the pulling down of fortresses.

So, as a Christian, recognize the enormity of the responsibility on you, to intercede for leaders of nations. Every so often, pray fervently in the spirit for the leaders in your country. With authoritative words, rebuke the forces of darkness to desist from influencing them, and affirm that their hearts are turned to the Lord to do His will. This is what we must do for leaders of nations to be influenced by God’s wisdom and righteousness; we must pray for them in line with God’s Word. 

PRAYER 

Dear Lord, I thank you for endowing us with your might to pull down fortresses, ideas planted in the minds of men, and theories they’ve accepted in life that have kept them from moving in the direction of your dream and destiny for them. I declare that Satan’s influence on leaders and rulers of nations of the world is broken! Your light shines brightly in their hearts today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

We’ve Been Enthroned

“긍휼이 풍성하신 하나님이 우리를 사랑하신 그 큰 사랑을 인하여 … 또 함께 일으키사 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 하늘에 앉히시니”(엡 2:4-6)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 “함께 앉다”라는 구절은 그리스어로 “수그카티조(sugkathizo)”이며, 다른 사람과 함께 자리에 앉는다, 합석한다는 의미입니다. 생각해 보십시오! 그리스도와 함께 앉는 것보다 더 위대한 일이 무엇이 있겠습니까! 웨이머스 신약 성경은 이 구절을 매우 아름답게 표현합니다. 하나님이 “우리를 그분과 함께 죽음에서 일으키시고, 우리를 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 것처럼 하늘의 영역에서 그분과 함께 왕좌에 앉히셨습니다.” 우리는 왕좌에 앉아있습니다! 하나님을 송축합니다!

이제 우리가 왕좌에 앉았으니 무슨 일을 해야 하겠습니까? 로마서 5:17은 우리에게 이렇게 말합니다. “한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람으로 인하여 군림하였다면, 더욱 더 은혜의 풍성함과 의의 선물을 넘치도록 받는 사람들이 한 사람 예수 그리스도로 인하여 생명 안에서 군림할 것이니라.”(한글킹제임스) “군림하다”는 말은 그리스어로 “바실류오(basileuo)”이며, ‘왕 노릇하다’라는 뜻입니다. 요한계시록 5:10은 이 진리를 완벽하게 확증합니다. “그들로 우리 하나님 앞에서 나라와 제사장들을 삼으셨으니 그들이 땅에서 왕 노릇 하리로다 하더라.”

그렇습니다, 성경에 따르면 우리는 천년 왕국 때에 그리스도와 함께 군림할 것입니다. 그러나 오늘날 이 땅에서 우리는 그분의 이름을 사용함으로 그분을 통해 그리고 그분에 의해 다스리고 있습니다. 우리는 그분을 대신하여 기능하고 있습니다. 우리는 통치권을 행사하고 예수 그리스도를 통해 삶의 주인이자 승리자로 살아가도록 부름 받았습니다. 우리는 사탄, 어둠, 세상, 모든 피조물들을 다스립니다.

성경은 말합니다. “그 빛이 어둠 속에서 비치니, 어둠이 그 빛을 이기지 못하였다.”(요1:5, 새번역) 할렐루야! 이는 성경이 “불법의 비밀(법적인 권세에 대항하는 숨겨진 반란의 정사)이 이미 활동하였으나 지금은 그것을 막는 자가 있어 그 중에서 옮겨질 때까지 하리라”(살후 2:7, AMPC)고 말한 이유입니다. 교회인 우리는 세상의 악을 제지하는 자들입니다. 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “내가 세상에 있는 동안에는 세상의 빛이로라”(요 9:5). 우리가 휴거에 의해 이 땅을 떠나기 전까지 여기 있는 한, 마찬가지로 어둠은 우리를 이길 수 없습니다. 우리가 능력과 통치권의 자리에서 그리스도와 함께 앉아있기 때문입니다. 그리고 우리는 그 능력과 통치권을 지금 행사합니다!

고백

나는 영광과 능력의 자리에 그리스도와 함께 앉아있습니다. 그러므로 내가 이 세상에 있는 한 나는 세상의 빛입니다! 나는 상황과 어둠의 영들에 대한 통치권을 행사하며, 그것들을 예수 이름에 복종시킵니다! 아멘.

WE’VE BEEN ENTHRONED 

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us…And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:4-6). 

The phrase “sit together” in the scripture above is “sugkathizo” (Greek), and it means to give (or take) a seat in company with; a joint-sitting. Think about that! What could be greater than having a jointsitting with Christ! Weymouth New Testament version renders it so beautifully; it says God “raised us with Him from the dead, and enthroned us with Him in the heavenly realms as being in Christ Jesus.” We’ve been enthroned! Blessed be God!

Now that we’ve been enthroned, what are we supposed to do? Romans 5:17 tells us: “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” 

The word “reign” is “basileuo?” (Greek) which means “to king.” And Revelation 5:10 perfectly corroborates this truth; it says, “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” 

Yes, at the millennial period, we’re going to be reigning with Christ, according to the Bible. But today in the earth, we’re reigning through Him or by Him, because we’re using His Name; operating in His stead. We’re called to exercise dominion and to live as masters and victors in life through Jesus Christ. We reign over Satan, darkness, the world and all creation.

The Bible says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5 ESV).

Hallelujah! This is why the Bible says, “For the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world, [but it is] restrained only until he who restrains is taken out of the way” (2 Thessalonians 2:7 AMPC).

We?the Church?are the ones restraining evil in the world. Jesus said, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world” (John 9:5). In the same way, until we’re taken out of here by the Rapture, darkness can’t prevail, because we have a joint-sitting with Christ in the place of power and dominion. And we exercise that power and dominion now! 

CONFESSION 

I have a joint-sitting with Christ in the place of glory and power. As long as I’m in the world, I’m the light of the world! I exercise dominion over circumstances and the spirits of darkness, and I bring them under subjection to the Name of Jesus! Amen.

THE STAKES ARE HIGH 

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord (Romans 12:11). 

Clearly, we see from the Scriptures that we’re in the final days before the rapture of the Church. This isn’t the time to loaf around; there’s a lot the Lord wants to do through you with the short time left. Our theme verse says, “Not slothful in business;

fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.” You’ve got to work with the mentality that His appearing could be any minute, and become very passionate in your spirit for the Gospel?ensuring its spread and impact around the world.

As the Scriptures tell us, the Antichrist is only going to be given three and a half years for the Great Tribulation. It’s going to be a period of intense trouble, worse than the world has ever experienced and will ever experience (Matthew 24:21); and it’ll be world-wide in scope. Jesus said, “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved…” (Matthew 24:22).

Imagine the kind of evil and destruction that’ll be perpetrated by the Antichrist for only three and a half years that warrants a divine shortening. That also tells us something: We can do a lot of good within a short time; we can shake up this world. It begins with you giving more attention to prayer, especially praying for the impact of the Gospel around the world in these last days.

This is very important; the stakes are very high.

It’s not just about you; it’s about the future of our world. Before the Rapture, we’ve got to dominate this world like never before! Jesus isn’t planning to “snatch” us out of this world as though we’ve been victims. Remember that He overcame the world. He’s coming for a victorious Church; a triumphant Church.
