인생의 여정을 즐기십시오
Enjoying Life’s Journey

“도둑이 오는 것은 도둑질하고 죽이고 멸망시키려는 것뿐이요 내가 온 것은 양으로 생명을 얻게 하고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려는 것이라”(요 10:10)

저는 항상 비행기를 탈 때 창가 자리를 좋아합니다. 창가 자리는 멋진 경관을 즐길 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 얼음으로 뒤덮인 북극, 반짝거리는 알프스 봉우리, 안데스 산맥, 구름 등 높은 고도에서만 볼 수 있는 것들로 인해 영감을 받는 특별한 기회를 선사합니다. 저는 언제나 하나님의 창조의 아름다움과 경이로움을 만끽하면서 “복되신 하나님, 당신은 놀라운 분이십니다! 너무나도 아름다운 것들이 많습니다!”라고 말합니다.

그렇게 저는 목적지에 도착하기 전까지 여정을 즐깁니다. 인생도 그렇습니다. 인생은 우리가 즐겨야 하는 여행입니다. 지금부터 주님이 다시 오실 때까지 누릴 것들이 많이 있습니다. 그러므로 누구도 좌절하는 삶을 살아서는 안됩니다. 당신 주위에 있는 사람들과 모든 아름다운 것들에 관심을 갖고 그것들을 누리는 방법을 배운다면 당신은 날마다 행복하게 살 것입니다.

사소한 것에서도 삶을 즐기겠다고 마음을 정하는 것은 매우 지혜로운 선택입니다. 어떤 사람들은 식사도 즐기지 않습니다. 그들은 항상 황급히 식사를 마칩니다. 어떤 사람들은 아침에 짜증을 내며 일어납니다. 운전을 하거나 그들의 직장, 사업, 혹은 학교로 갈 때에도 그들은 화가 나 있고 행복하지 않으며 짜증난 상태입니다. 그들은 주위에 있는 모든 사랑과 아름다움을 간과합니다.

오늘의 본문 구절을 다시 읽어보십시오. 예수님은 우리에게 생명을 주시고, 우리가 그 생명을 누리게 하시려고 오셨습니다! 삶을 즐긴다(enjoying life)는 것은 단순히 게임이나 코미디 프로그램을 보거나, 어떤 활동에 참여하는 것이 아닙니다. 그보다는 삶의 여정의 모든 순간을 누리는 것입니다. 당신이 하는 일이 경건한 삶과 일치하는 한, 그 모든 일을 즐기는 것입니다. 당신이 하나님의 자녀이고 하나님께서 당신을 통해 그분의 꿈을 이루신다는 것을 당신이 알기 때문입니다.

하나님은 당신에게 기쁨의 삶을 주셨습니다. 그러나 그 삶을 사는 책임은 당신에게 있습니다. 당신 안에 있는 하나님의 평안을 충만하게 나타내는 빛과 함께 주님의 기쁨이 당신의 삶에 명백히 드러나게 하십시오. 의식적으로 삶의 매 순간을 즐기기로 선택하십시오.

고백
주님은 내게 풍성하게 누릴 모든 것을 주셨습니다. 그분은 나를 기쁨과 영광이 충만한 안식의 삶으로 인도하셨습니다. 나에게 너무 과분한 것이란 없습니다. 나는 오늘 기쁨으로 충만하며, 그리스도 안에서 가지고 있는 의, 건강, 부, 번영, 성공의 위대한 삶을 삽니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

ENJOYING LIFE’S JOURNEY

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows) (John 10:10 AMPC).

I’ve always loved the window sitting on a flight. A window seat offers great views; it affords one the unique opportunity to be inspired by the things you see from such a high altitude: the icy expanse of the Arctic, the glistening peaks of the Alps, the Andes, the clouds, etc. Every so often, as I look out and savour the beauty and wonder of God’s creation, I say, “Blessed Father, you’re amazing! There’s so much beauty!” Thus, before arriving at my destination, I enjoy the journey. Life is that way too; a journey to be enjoyed.

Between now and when the Master comes back, there’s a lot to enjoy; therefore, no one should live a frustrated life. If you’d learn to pay attention to all the beautiful things and people around you, to enjoy them, you’d live happy every day.

It’s a wise choice when you make up your mind to enjoy your life and yourself even in simple things. Some don’t even enjoy their meals; they always rush it angrily. Others wake up angry; even while driving or commuting to their place of work, business or school, they’re angry, unhappy and frustrated. They ignore all the love and beauty around them.

Read our theme verse again: Jesus came that we may have and also enjoy life! Enjoying your life isn’t only about going for a game show, or watching a comedy, or engaging in some adventure. Rather, it means enjoying every moment of life’s journey; enjoying everything you do, as long as it’s consistent with a godly life, because you’re a child of God and you know God is fulfilling His dream through you. God has given you a life of joy, but you have the responsibility to express it. Let the joy of the Lord be evident in your life with such radiance that fully expresses the peace of God in you. Make a conscious choice to enjoy the moments of your life.

CONFESSION
The Lord has given me all things richly to enjoy. He’s brought me into a life of rest, full of joy and glory. Nothing is too good for me. I’m full of joy today, living the great life of righteousness, health, wealth, prosperity and success that I have in Christ. Glory to God!

Look Beyond Your Past

“너희는 이전 일을 기억하지 말며 옛날 일을 생각하지 말라 보라 내가 새 일을 행하리니 이제 나타낼 것이라 너희가 그것을 알지 못하겠느냐 반드시 내가 광야에 길을 사막에 강을 내리니”(사 43:18-19)

많은 사람들이 미래를 더 위대한 성공을 위한 소망과 기회로 바라보기보다는 어제의 실수에 짓눌려서 과거에 대해 불평하거나 투덜거립니다. 어제 당신이 어떤 적대적인 말을 들었든지, 일이 일어났든지, 쓰여 졌든지 상관없습니다. 당신의 밝고 영광스러운 미래를 보십시오. 현재와 미래에 집중하십시오.

지나가 버린 어제에 사는 사람들은 때때로 좌절할 뿐만 아니라 진정한 기쁨을 경험할 수 없습니다. 당신과 관련된 것들에서 어제의 실수와 오해에 초점을 맞추는 것을 거절하십시오. 어제에는 그 어떤 아름다움이나 영광이 없습니다. 그러므로 어제의 경험에 근거해서 삶을 살아가지 마십시오.

LOOK BEYOND YOUR PAST

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing… (Isaiah 43:18-19).

Many gripe and grumble about their past, weighed down by the mistakes of yesterday, instead of looking at the future with the hope and opportunities it presents for greater success. It makes no difference what was said, done or written against you yesterday; see your bright and glorious future ahead.

Focus on the present and the future. Those who live in yesterday are often frustrated and can’t experience true joy. In your relationships, refuse to focus on the mistakes and misgivings of yesterday. There’s no beauty or glory in yesterday; therefore, refuse to live your life on the basis of yesterday’s experiences.

Someone may say, “Now that I have this new job, I don’t want what happened to me in the past to happen again. I’m going to be very careful.” Then, as a result of being too careful to avoid whatever negative experience they might have had in the past, their productivity falls short of their actual capacity. Their best is unseen and unheard because they’ve allowed their past experiences to guide their lives.

Let the Word of God, not your past experiences, guide you. Be inspired by the joy and inspiration of a better and more glorious tomorrow. Our theme verse says, “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old….” What’s that terrible experience that wouldn’t leave your mind? Let it go!

Neither the accomplishments nor failures of yesterday should make you a captive of your past. Rather, armed with the Word and with faith in your heart, apprehend the glorious future the Lord has ordained for you, and He’ll do new and greater things through you.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for renewing my mind through your Word and enlightening my spirit to see and walk in my glorious future. I refuse to be held back by yesterday’s experiences, for my path is as a shining light, shining brighter and brighter, for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

성령님의 단순한 지시
Simple Instructions Of The Spirit

“그러나 하나님께서 세상의 미련한 것들을 택하사 지혜 있는 자들을 부끄럽게 하려 하시고 세상의 약한 것들을 택하사 강한 것들을 부끄럽게 하려 하시며”(고전 1:27)

하나님의 말씀은 너무나 단순합니다. 그분의 지시는 사소해 보일 수도 있지만 그 지시대로 행한다면 항상 초자연적인 결과를 만들어냅니다. 주일 예배 때 목사님이 회중들에게 “세 사람에게 ‘나는 복을 받았고 승리합니다’라고 말하십시오.”라고 말했다고 상상해보십시오. 당신은 “난 저거 안 해도 될 것 같은데.”라고 생각할 수도 있습니다. 왜 그렇습니까? 큰 의미가 없어 보이는 너무 단순한 지시이기 때문입니다. 많은 사람들이 이 부분을 놓칩니다. 오늘의 본문 구절은 하나님께서 단순하고 작은 것들로 강한 것들을 물리치신다고 말합니다.

생각해보십시오. 하나님이 이스라엘 백성을 그들을 억압하던 애굽 사람들의 손에서 건져 내셨을 때, 그분은 이스라엘 백성을 가장 상식적인 길로 인도하지 않으셨습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “그러므로 하나님이 홍해의 광야 길로 돌려 백성을 인도하시매…”(출 13:18) 그러고 나서 홍해와 적군 사이에 갇힌 모세는 하나님이 개입하시도록 “기도”하기 시작했습니다. 그러나 하나님은 모세를 멈추시고 “지팡이를 들고 손을 바다 위로 내밀어 그것이 갈라지게 하라…”(출 14:16)고 말씀하셨습니다.

모세가 당면한 엄청난 문제에 대한 하나님의 단순한 지시를 생각해보십시오! 그것은 “상식적”이지 않았습니다. 어떻게 그런 중요한 순간에 바다에서 지팡이를 드는 행동으로 변화를 일으킬 수 있습니까? 그러나 실제로 변화가 일어났습니다! 모세가 지시에 순종하자 바다가 갈라지고 이스라엘 백성들은 마른 땅 위를 걸었습니다. 할렐루야! 하나님은 오늘도 그런 식으로 일하십니다. 그분은 단순한 지시를 주십니다.

또한 주님이 행하신 일을 보십시오. 그분은 손이 마른 사람에게 말씀하셨습니다. “네 손을 펴라”(마 12:13). 어떻게 그 남자가 마른 손을 펼 수 있었습니까? 그는 “선생님, 이 손이 마른 것이 보이지 않으십니까?”라고 불평할 수도 있었습니다. 그러나 그는 불평하지 않았습니다. 오히려 그는 주님의 단순한 지시를 행했고, 성경은 마른 손이 “다른 손과 같이 회복되어 성하더라”고 기록합니다.

주님으로부터 온 지시가 너무 단순하게 들릴 수도 있겠지만, 그것은 당신의 유익을 위해 주어진 것입니다. 예를 들어, 당신이 교회에 있다면 성령님의 임재를 인식하는 것이 매우 중요합니다. 지시가 주어지면 순종하십시오. 하나님은 언제나 우리를 축복하시고 우리의 삶을 영광에서 영광으로 발전시킬 기회를 찾으십니다. 그리고 대부분의 그런 축복들은 성령님의 단순한 지시로 옵니다.

 

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 당신의 말씀을 통해 인도해 주셔서 감사드립니다. 내 심령은 당신의 말씀과 성령님으로부터 오는 지시에 주의를 기울입니다. 당신의 인도는 내가 상황과 도전을 이기게 하고, 나를 성공과 승리와 탁월함과 영광의 길로 이끌어 주십니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE SPIRIT

But God chose the foolish things of this world to put the wise to shame. He chose the weak things of this world to put the powerful to shame
(1 Corinthians 1:27 CEV).

God’s Word is so simple. His instructions may sound or seem trifling, but when carried out, they always produce the supernatural. Imagine that while in Church on a service day the Pastor says, “Tell three people, ‘I’m blessed and victorious.’” You might say to yourself, “I don’t have to do that.” Why? It sounds too simple to mean anything. But that’s where many have missed it. Our theme verse says God confounds the mighty with simple, little things.

Think about this: when God delivered the children of Israel from the hands of their oppressors, the Egyptians, He didn’t lead them on the road that made the most sense. The Bible says, “Instead, he led them in a roundabout way through the desert toward the Red Sea…” (Exodus 13:18 GNB). Then, trapped between the Red sea and an invading army, Moses began to “pray” to God for intervention. But God interrupted him and said, “Lift up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it…”(Exodus 14:16 AMPC).

Consider the simple instruction given to Moses for a problem of such magnitude! It didn’t make “common sense.” How could stretching forth your rod over the sea make any difference at such a critical time? But it did! Moses obeyed the instruction, the sea parted and the children of Israel walked through on dry ground. Hallelujah! God is still that way today. He gives simple instructions.

Also see the example of the Master: He said to a man with a withered arm, “…Stretch forth thine hand…” (Matthew 12:13). How could the man stretch forth the same hand that was withered? He could have complained, “Sir, can’t you see it’s withered?” But he didn’t; rather, he acted on that simple instruction and the Bible says the hand “was restored whole, like as the other.” An instruction from the Lord, however simple, is for your benefit. When you’re in church for example, a consciousness of the presence of the Holy Spirit is so important. When instructions are given, comply. God always seeks opportunities to bless and improve our lives from glory to glory and many of such blessings are packaged in simple instructions of the Spirit.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the counsel I receive from your Word. My heart is attentive to the instructions from your Word and the Holy Spirit. Your guidance puts me over circumstances and challenges of life, to lead me in the path of success, victory, excellence and glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

하나님은 당신이 어디에 있는지 아십니다
He Knows Where You Are

“그가 내게 대답하여 이르되 여호와께서 스룹바벨에게 하신 말씀이 이러하니라 만군의 여호와께서 말씀하시되 이는 힘으로 되지 아니하며 능력으로 되지 아니하고 오직 나의 영으로 되느니라”(슥 4:6)

한 남자가 시골 마을에 가게를 하나 가지고 있었습니다. 문득 그는 자신의 친구들처럼 도시로 이사를 가고 싶어 졌습니다. 어느 날 그는 기도하던 중에 주님께서 그에게 “여기에 머물러라.”라고 말씀하신 것을 들었습니다. 그래서 그는 원래 있던 곳에 머무르게 되었고, 그로부터 2년 후에 정부는 그가 살고 있는 지역의 도로를 확장하는 계약을 체결했습니다.

도로가 건설되자 외부인들이 그 지역에 새로 정착하기 시작했습니다. 그의 상점은 모든 이웃들에게 중요한 위치에 자리잡게 되었습니다. 얼마 지나지 않아 그의 사업이 번창했고 그 지역에 있는 유일한 가게가 되었습니다. 낙후된 길가에 있던 그의 가게는 모든 사람들이 거래하는 큰 백화점이 되었습니다. 도시로 떠났던 그의 친구들도 다시 돌아오기 시작했습니다. 그러나 이미 그가 시장을 대부분 점유한 상태였고, 몇 년 후에 그의 체인점들이 늘어났습니다.

당신이 어디에 있든지 상관없이 하나님은 당신이 있는 곳을 알고 계시며, 당신이 그분의 말씀 안에 거한다면 그분은 당신에게 은혜를 공급하실 것입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절은 “이는 힘으로 되지 아니하며 능력으로 되지 아니하고 오직 나의 영으로 되느니라”고 말합니다. 하나님이 당신에게 머물라고 하신 곳이 당신이 있어야 할 곳입니다. 많은 사람들이 기근으로 인해 이주하고 있었음에도 불구하고 하나님은 이삭에게 그랄에 머물라고 말씀하셨습니다. 성경은 “이삭이 그랄에 거주하였더니”라고 말합니다. 그는 하나님의 장소에, 하나님의 때에, 하나님의 목적을 위해, 하나님의 방식으로 있었습니다.

창세기 26:12에서 이삭이 순종한 결과를 읽어보십시오. “이삭이 그 땅에서 농사하여 그 해에 백 배나 얻었고 여호와께서 복을 주시므로” 이삭은 하나님의 인도를 들었고, 그 인도는 이삭의 삶의 경로를 바꾸었습니다. 하나님의 축복입니다! 다른 직장이 더 나아 보인다고 해서 직장을 옮기거나 사업을 변경하지 마십시오. 하나님께 들으십시오. 성령님께 인도 받으십시오. 그것이 진정한 성공과 영광에서 영광으로 나아가는 길입니다.

 

기도

의로우신 아버지, 당신의 말씀과 성령의 인도에 감사드립니다. 당신은 나를 계속 인도하시고, 내 혼을 만족케 하며, 내 뼈를 윤택하게 하십니다. 나는 당신의 지시와 원리를 따라 행하며, 나의 목적을 성취하고, 위대함과 번영과 성공과 승리를 나타냅니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HE KNOWS WHERE YOU ARE

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts (Zechariah 4:6).

A certain man had a shop in a rural area. At a point, he wanted to move to the city, like his friends had done. But one day, while he was praying, he heard the Lord say to him, “Stay here.” So, he stayed. Two years later, the government signed a contract to expand the road in the area.

The road was constructed and expanded and a new settlement with expatriates was established in the area. His shop became the strategic corner shop for everyone in the neighbourhood. Suddenly, his business boomed, being the only shop in the area. Soon enough, what used to be located in the torn￾up street and sidewalk became a major department store where everybody transacted business. Most of his friends who had relocated to the city started coming back, but he already had the major share of the market. A few years later, he had expanded to a chain of major stores.

It doesn’t matter where you are, God knows you’re there and will channel His grace towards you as long as you stay in His Word. Our theme verse says it’s “…Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Where He tells you to stay is where you should be. He told Isaac to remain in Gerar even though others were relocating due to famine. The Bible says, “And Isaac dwelt in Gerar” (Genesis 26:6). He was in God’s place, in God’s time, for God’s purpose, in God’s way.

Read the result of Isaac’s obedience in the 12thverse: “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.” The man heard from God and it changed the course of his life. It’s called the blessing of God! Don’t move jobs or change business just because you think the field or pasture is greener on the other side. Hear from God. Be directed by the Holy Spirit. That’s the way of true success and progress from glory to glory.

PRAYER
Righteous Father, I thank you for the guidance of your Word and leading of your Spirit in my life. You guide me continually, satisfy my soul in drought and make fat my bones. I walk in your instructions and principles, fulfilling my purpose and manifesting greatness, prosperity, success and victory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

사탄에게 틈을 주지 마십시오
Give No Place To Satan

“이후에는 내가 너희와 말을 많이 하지 아니하리니 이 세상의 임금이 오겠음이라 그러나 그는 내게 관계할 것이 없으니”(요 14:30)

만약 악한 영들에게 기회나 발판을 준다면 그들은 그리스도인을 괴롭히고 영향을 주며 심지어 고통을 줄 수도 있습니다. 그러므로 사도 바울은 우리에게 “마귀에게 [그러한] 틈이나 발판을 내어주지 말라 [그에게 어떤 기회도 주지 말라]”(엡 4:17, AMP)고 명했습니다.

마치 악몽 같아 보이는 일을 겪고 있는 그리스도인들이 있습니다. 그러나 사실 그것은 꿈보다 더 실제적인 일입니다. 어떤 경우에는 끔찍한 사람들과 엮이기도 합니다. 그 사람이 이런 일들에 대해 기도하지만 상황은 변함이 없습니다.

그것은 사탄이 종종 그 사람들의 마음에 부정한 생각들을 심음으로써 그와 사람들 간에 연결고리를 유지하려고 하기 때문입니다. 만약 사람들이 사탄으로부터 온 생각들을 품고 키운다면 그 연결고리는 지속됩니다. 그러므로 사탄의 생각이 마음에 남아있는 한, 그들이 예수 이름으로 쫓아내려고 해도 사탄은 그 연결고리를 유지하며 계속해서 돌아옵니다.

그 연결고리는 두려움일 수도 있습니다. 사탄은 사람들에게 두려움을 심고 그것을 연결고리 삼아 계속 돌아옵니다. 사탄이 당신에게 심은 것을 인지하지 못한 채 그대로 두기 때문에 당신이 기도하고 그를 쫓아낼지라도 그는 계속해서 다시 돌아옵니다. 이것이 예수님처럼 사탄으로부터 난 어떤 것도 당신 안에 남아있게 해서는 안 되는 이유입니다. 예수님은 오늘의 본문 구절에서 말씀하셨습니다. “…이 세상의 임금이 오겠음이라 그러나 그는 내게 관계할 것이 없으니”

마귀에게서 난 것은 그 무엇도 당신의 마음에 남아있지 않게 하십시오. 두려움, 분노, 원한, 비통함, 용서하지 못함을 마음에 품지 마십시오. 사랑이 당신의 마음을 다스리게 하십시오. 당신 주위에서 무슨 일이 일어나든지 두려움이 당신을 붙잡지 않게 하십시오. 예수님은 “사탄이 하늘로부터 번개 같이 떨어지는 것을 내가 보았노라”(눅 10:18)고 말씀하셨습니다. 절대로 사탄을 무서워하지 마십시오. 그는 패배한 적이며 당신에게 어떤 권세도 가지고 있지 않습니다.

GIVE NO PLACE TO SATAN

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me (John 14:30)

Demon spirits, if given a chance or a foothold, could harass, influence and even torment a Christian. Paul the Apostle enjoins us, “Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him]” (Ephesians 4:27 AMPC).

Take for example some Christians who experience what seems like a nightmare, but actually more real an experience than a dream. In some cases, it could be an experience with some beastly figures. The person may be praying about these things, yet the situation lingers.

Oftentimes, it’s because Satan tries to maintain a connection between him and such individuals by sowing something in their hearts, such as a thought—an unclean thought. As long as such folks harbour and nurture those thoughts from Satan, a connection is established. So, even when they scare him off with the Name of Jesus, as long as his thoughts remain in their hearts, he maintains his connection and keeps coming back.

Sometimes, it could be fear. He plants fear and with that connection he keeps coming back. When you pray and rebuke him, because of what he’s kept in you which you’re helping him preserve without realising it, he keeps coming back. This is why, like Jesus, you must have nothing of Satan in you. He (Jesus) said in our theme verse, “…for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”

Keep your heart free from anything that’s of the devil. Refuse to harbour fear, anger, grudge, bitterness and unforgiveness. Let love rule in your heart. Never allow fear to take a hold of you, irrespective of the happenings around you. Jesus said, “…I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven” (Luke 10:18). Never be afraid of him, for he’s a defeated foe, and has no authority over you.

CONFESSION
I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and I have the light of life. There’s nothing of darkness in me. Through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by which I’m constantly cleansed and purified, Satan has no place in me. He has nothing in my life and I rule over him, in the Name of the Lord Jesus! Amen.

요한일서 3:9은 말합니다. “하나님께로부터 난 자마다 죄를 짓지 아니하나니…” 어떤 사람들은 이 구절을 잘못 이해하여, 자신들이 그리스도인으로서 죄를 짓는 것은 불가능하기 때문에 그들이 하는 일은 무엇이든 옳다고 잘못 생각하고 있습니다. 물론 그리스도인에게 죄는 불가피한 것이 아니지만, 우리는 행위로 의를 판단하지 않습니다. 우리는 그리스도의 빛과 그분의 말씀으로 의를 판단합니다.

성경은 하나님께서 빛 가운데 계신 것 같이 우리도 빛 가운데 행하는 것에 대해 말합니다(요일 1:7). 당신의 행동이 하나님의 올바름에 얼마나 일치합니까? 그것이 바로 무엇이 옳고 그른지를 판단하는 기준입니다. 만약 당신이 무슨 일을 하든지 옳다고 말한다면, 그것은 당신 자신을 올바름과 의의 기준으로 삼는 것입니다. 그러나 당신은 의의 기준이 아닙니다.

CHRIST: THE STANDARD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous (1 John 2:1).1 John 3:9 says, “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin….” Some have

misunderstood this and ran off with the wrong idea that whatever they do is right, because as Christians, they can’t sin. Yes, for the Christian, sin isn’t compulsory, but we don’t judge righteousness by what a Christian does; we judge righteousness by the light of Christ and His Word.

The Bible talks about walking in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7). How consistent are your actions with the rightness of God? That’s how you know what’s right from what’s wrong. If you declare that whatever you do is right, that makes you the standard of rightness and of righteousness. But you’re not the standard of righteousness.

For example, we read in 1 Corinthians 2:16 that “…we have the mind of Christ”; this doesn’t mean every thought of your heart, therefore, is always right. Yes, we have the rightness of God, but He tells us in Romans 12:2, “Be not conformed to this world, but be transfigured by the renewing of your mind.” Even though you’re born again, your mind still needs to be renewed.

Let’s look at our theme verse again; it says, “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not….” If it weren’t possible for you to sin, He wouldn’t have said “I’m writing this to you so that you don’t sin.” But at the same time, He lets you know sin isn’t compulsory; you don’t have to sin. That’s the reason for the very next statement: “If any man sin”; instead of “When any man sins.” He creates a balance.

Don’t go from one extreme of “Sin is compulsory as long as we’re in this flesh” to the other extreme of “Whatever I do is right”; no! Your actions, thoughts, behaviour, responses and reactions must be consistent with the Word of God, with the righteousness of Christ, for He is the standard of righteousness. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for your grace and the power of your righteousness at work in me! I live free from sin and sin-consciousness, producing fruits of righteousness and good works, manifesting the love of Christ today and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Rejoice Today

“항상 기뻐하라”(살전 5:16)

어제는 지나갔고 내일은 아직 오지 않았지만, 오늘은 당신의 것입니다. 그러므로 오늘 하루 최선을 다하고 기뻐하십시오. 어제를 후회하며 살거나 내일의 불확실한 상황에 대해 염려하지 마십시오. 어제의 후회와 내일의 두려움은 오늘의 행복의 적입니다. 하나님은 오늘 당신이 기뻐하기를 원하십니다!

오늘의 본문 구절은 “항상 기뻐하라”고 말합니다. 기뻐하는 것은 어제에 적용되거나 내일로 미룰 수 있는 것이 아닙니다. 그러므로 이 구절은 지금 이 순간을 위한 것입니다. 다른 사람들이 당신을 어떻게 대하든지 상관없이 항상 기뻐하십시오.

당신의 편이라고 생각했던 사람들이 당신에게서 등을 돌린다 할지라도 상관없습니다. 기뻐하십시오. 하나님은 사람을 신뢰하라고 말씀하지 않으셨습니다(시 118:8-9). 은행 계좌에 돈이 있든지 없든지 기뻐하십시오. 만일 당신 주변에서 일어나는 상황이나 다른 사람들의 행동이 당신의 기쁨을 결정하게 한다면, 당신은 말씀에 따라 행하고 있지 않은 것입니다. 기억하십시오. 축복은 하나님의 말씀을 행하는 자들을 위한 것입니다(약 1:22-25). 말씀은 항상 기뻐하라고 말합니다. 그러므로 항상 기뻐하는 것을 실천하십시오.

고백

REJOICE TODAY
Be joyful always (1 Thessalonians 5:16 NIV).

Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow is yet to come, but today is yours to use. Therefore, make the best of today and be joyful. Don’t live in the regrets of yesterday or be apprehensive of the uncertainties of tomorrow. The regrets of yesterday and fear of tomorrow are the enemies of today’s happiness. God wants you joyful, TODAY!

Our theme verse says, “Be joyful always.” This can neither be applied to yesterday nor postponed to tomorrow; it’s for the NOW. Whether anybody treats you well or not, be joyful all the same. It makes no difference that those you thought could be of help to you turned their backs on you; remain joyful. After all, God never told you to put your trust in men (Psalm 118:8-9). Whether or not there’s money in your bank account, be joyful. If you allow circumstances, the happenings around you or the actions of others determine your joy, then, you’re not acting on the Word. Remember, the blessing is for those who do or act on God’s Word (James 1:22-25). The Word says rejoice evermore (1 Thessalonians 5:16); so, practise it.

Make up your mind that nothing will ever take away your joy. This is a decision you must make. There’s a cooperation that’s required between you and the Holy Spirit. He tells you what to do, but you have to decide to do them. If you say, “I’m going to be ever joyful as the Word of God says, irrespective of circumstances,” He’ll help you make it so.

Yes, in Christianity, there’re challenges. But the Lord says in James 1:2, “Count it all joy, when you go through diverse tests”; in other words, “rejoice!” What’s important isn’t the challenges you face but your response to them. You were born a winner, a victor; nothing in this life is set against you to hurt you or make you a victim. The Bible says, “In all these things, we’re more than conquerors” (Romans 8:37). Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

My life is a bundle of joy and happiness, for the joy of the Lord is my strength! Irrespective of circumstances, I remain cheerful and boisterous with praise, knowing that I draw out prosperity, peace, success, health and other blessings from deep within me. Glory to God!

Victory Over Devils

귀신은 실제로 존재하지 않으며 단지 상상 속에 있는 허구일 뿐이라고 스스로를 설득하려는 사람들이 있습니다. 그러나 그들은 틀렸습니다! 귀신은 실재하며, 종종 많은 사람들의 무지로 인해 세력을 얻어 자신이 존재하지 않는다는 속임수를 퍼뜨립니다. 오늘의 본문 구절은 우리가 “통치자들과 권세들과 이 어둠의 세상 주관자들과 하늘에 있는 악의 영들과” 싸운다고 말합니다. 이것들은 악한 영들입니다.

당신은 사탄이 결코 이길 수 없는 빛의 왕국에서 기능하고 살아갑니다. 당신은 예수 그리스도의 승리와 권세 안에서 삽니다. 당신은 마귀가 버틸 수 없는 예수 이름을 소유하고 있습니다. 그 이름을 사용하여 항상 영광스럽게 승리하십시오!

VICTORY OVER DEVILS

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).

There’re people who’d like to convince themselves that demons aren’t real, they are mere figments of our imagination. But they’re wrong!
Demons are real and oftentimes, Satan, who thrives on the ignorance of many, proliferates the deception that he doesn’t exist. But our theme verse tells us that we wrestle against “…principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” These are evil spirits.

Until their appointed time of judgment, Satan and his demons are going to do everything they can to get at you, to destroy your work and try to frustrate you. But have no fear; they’re not a factor. In Christ, you have the victory over Satan and the cohorts of darkness. They are mere rebels, running rampage and trying to wreak havoc and bring frustrations to those who let them. This is why you must know and stay in the Word and maintain your victory in Christ. The Bible says to resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). How do you resist the devil? With the Word!

It makes no difference if it’s a health condition that can’t be medically explained, or issues with your job, business or family; affirm the Word! Ephesians 6:13 says, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day,and having done all, to stand.” The evil day is when Satan throws his darts at you. It’s the day of crisis; the day when you’re the target of the adversary. That evil day will come, and it doesn’t come only once. But as long as you’re in the Word—fully dressed with the whole armour of God—you’ll always be victorious!

You live and function in the Kingdom of light where Satan has no chance. You live in the victory and authority of Jesus Christ. You have something that the devils can’t withstand—the Name of Jesus. Use it, and triumph gloriously, always!

CONFESSION
I live and function in the Kingdom of light, with authority over Satan and the cohorts of darkness. No weapon fashioned against me shall prosper. I live in the victory and authority of Jesus Christ, and my faith is a weapon of defence against the fiery darts of the wicked; an instrument of victory over and against the adversary and adversities. I live triumphantly in Christ, every day. Hallelujah!

당신의 심령 안에 있는 하나님의 빛
His Light In Your Heart

“이는 어두움 속에서 빛이 비치라고 명령하신 하나님께서 예수 그리스도의 얼굴에 있는 하나님의 영광을 아는 빛을 주시기 위하여 우리 마음(heart)에 비추셨기 때문이라”(고후 4:6, 한글킹제임스)

성경은 하박국 2:14에서 이렇게 말합니다. “이는 물이 바다를 덮음 같이 여호와의 영광을 인정하는 것이 세상에 가득함이니라” 그리고 오늘의 본문 구절은 말합니다. “이는 어둠 속에서 빛이 비치라고 명령하신 하나님께서…. 우리 마음에 비추셨기 때문이라” 하나님의 빛이 당신의 심령 안에 있습니다. 본문 말씀의 후반부는 왜 그 빛이 당신의 심령에 있는지 말하고 있습니다. “예수 그리스도의 얼굴에 있는 하나님의 영광을 아는 빛을 주시기 위하여” 입니다.

위의 내용은 하나님의 영광을 아는 지식이 어떻게 이 땅을 덮는지를 분명하게 보여줍니다. 이 지식은 예수 그리스도를 아는 것으로부터 나오며 그분의 빛을 받은 우리를 통해 주어집니다. 예수님은 아버지께 기도하실 때에 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “… 아버지의 말씀은 진리니이다”(요 17:17) 그분은 요한복음 1:9에서도 말씀하셨습니다. “참 빛 곧 세상에 와서 각 사람에게 비추는 빛이 있었나니” 하나님의 말씀은 참 빛입니다. 그러므로 “이는 어둠 속에서 빛이 비치라고 명령하신 하나님께서…. 우리 마음에 비추셨기 때문이라”는 말씀은 우리가 지금 우리 안에 있는 하나님의 말씀의 빛을 운반하고 있다는 뜻입니다.

하나님에 대한 지식이 많을수록 빛은 더욱 밝게 빛납니다. 당신이 하나님을 잘 알지 못한다면, 당신이 발산할 수 있는 그분의 빛은 적습니다. 이것이 개인의 삶에서 말씀의 사역을 중요하게 여겨야 하는 이유입니다. 말씀을 공부하고 묵상함으로써 더 많은 영광이 당신의 삶에 더해지고, 당신은 하나님의 의로 계속 빛나게 됩니다.

HIS LIGHT IN YOUR HEART

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6).

In Habakkuk 2:14, the Bible says, “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea”; and our opening scripture says, “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts….” His light is in your heart. Then it continues further to state why that light is in your heart: “…to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

The foregoing clearly shows how the knowledge of the glory of God will cover the earth. This knowledge comes through knowing Jesus Christ, and is given through us who have received His light. Jesus, in His prayer to the Father, said, “…thy word is truth” (John 17:17). In John 1:9, He said, “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” His Word is the true light. So, when it says, “God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts,” it’s telling us that we now carry that light of God’s Word in us.

This means that the more of the knowledge of God you have, the brighter your light shines. The less of Him you know, the less of His light you exude. This is why it’s imperative that you take the ministry of the Word very seriously in your personal life. Through studying and meditating on the Word, more glory is added to your life and you keep glowing with His righteousness.

God’s plan wasn’t for man to grow, get old and die; that was the result of the curse. But Jesus brought the blessing. He brought immortality (2 Timothy 1:10), which is unveiled through the knowledge of God in Christ. Moreover, through that knowledge, you’re rejuvenated, refreshed and renewed.

 

PRAYER

Righteous Father, I thank you for your Word is the light with which I navigate my way through life. As I increase in the knowledge of your Word and meditate therein, my faith is stirred and I’m projected by the Spirit in the upward and forward life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

만일 당신이 주님께 손을 들고 경배하고 있는데 갑자기 사탄이 당신이 잘못한 일을 생각나게 한다면 자책하며 손을 내리고 울기 시작하지 마십시오. 오히려 더욱 더 경배하며 “아버지, 당신의 사랑과 나를 모든 불의에서 깨끗케 하신 예수 그리스도의 피에 감사드립니다.”라고 말하십시오.

당신이 잘못한 일 때문에 스스로를 진정한 그리스도인이 아니라고 생각하도록 사탄이 속이는 것을 허락하지 마십시오. 거듭났다면, 당신은 진정한 그리스도인입니다! 하나님의 말씀은 당신이 당신 안에 있는 하나님의 본성으로 산다고 말합니다. 성령 안에서 행하십시오. 의 안에서 행하십시오. 하나님의 말씀이 당신의 생명이므로 하나님의 말씀에 따라 사십시오.

스스로에게 “나는 하나님의 영으로부터 났으며 말씀이 나를 다스리고 인도한다.”고 자주 말하십시오. 하나님의 말씀을 공부하고 그 안에 거하십시오. 그러면 당신은 사탄의 속임수와 술책과 조종을 다스리며 살 것입니다. 말씀을 공부하고 듣고 묵상할수록 말씀이 말하는 대로 더 많이 행하게 됩니다. 말씀은 그것이 말하는 바를 당신 안에서 생산해내는 능력이 있기 때문입니다.

말씀의 사역을 통해 당신은 강해지고, 동기 부여되며, 믿음이 활성화되어 그리스도 안에서 지속적으로 성장합니다. 주님 안에서 곧 그분의 은혜와 말씀의 지식 안에서 자라갈수록 당신의 삶에서 죄는 줄어들 것입니다. 죄가 당신을 주관할 수 없기 때문입니다(롬 6:14).

GROWING IN CHRIST

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts (Galatians 5:24).

Our opening verse leaves no grey area: if you belong to Christ, you’ve crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Why then are some Christians still struggling, trying to crucify the flesh? It’s because Satan has lied to them and they believe it, due to their own ignorance of God’s Word.

Satan may taunt you by saying, “If you were a real Christian, you wouldn’t have told a lie yesterday!” That shouldn’t immediately wane your confidence and dissipate your faith and enthusiasm to serve the Lord. Remember who Satan is—a liar and the father of lies. He’s a deceiver and the accuser of God’s people (Revelation 12:10).

If your hands were lifted in worship to the Lord, and Satan suddenly reminded you of something you did wrong, don’t suddenly drop them and start crying, feeling sorry for yourself. Rather, worship even more and say, “Father, thank you for your love and the blood of Jesus Christ that cleanses me from all unrighteousness.” Never allow Satan deceive you into thinking you’re not a real Christian because of something you did wrong. If you’re born again, you’re a real Christian.What the Word of God says is that you live out the nature of God that’s inside you. Walk in the Spirit and in righteousness. Live according to God’s Word, because that’s your life.

Every so often, say to yourself, “I’m of the Spirit and I’m ruled and guided by the Word.” Study and stay in God’s Word and you’ll live above the deceptions, manoeuvres and manipulations of Satan. The more you study, listen to, and meditate on the Word, the more you walk as the Word admonishes. This is because the Word has the power to produce in you what it talks about.

Through the ministry of the Word, you’re strengthened, encouraged, your faith is stirred and you grow steadily in Christ. The more you grow in the Lord, in grace and knowledge of His Word, the less of sin you’ll find in your life; for sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:14).

 

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word which is profitable to me for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, causing me to grow spiritually and my faith to be stirred unto good works. I’m rooted and established in the Word, displaying the virtues and perfections of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
