당신이 직접 써야 합니다
You’ve Got To “Write….”

“너희는 너희의 마음에 쓰여진 우리의 추천서(신임장)이며, 모든 사람에게 알려지고(인지되고, 인정되고) 읽혀진다. 너희는 우리가 전한 그리스도의 편지임이 분명히 드러났다. 이는 먹물로 쓴 것이 아니라 살아 계신 하나님의 영으로 쓴 것이며 돌판에 쓴 것이 아니라 마음판에 쓴 것이다.”(고후 3:2-3, AMPC)

YOU’VE GOT TO “WRITE…”

[No] you yourselves are our letter of recommendation (our credentials), written in your hearts, to be known (perceived, recognized) and read by everybody. You show and make obvious that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, not written with ink but with [the] Spirit of [the] living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts (2 Corinthians 3:2-3 AMPC).

Some Bible translators felt that Paul couldn’t have written on the hearts of others, and therefore, they assumed he meant, “We carry the thoughts of you in our hearts.” But the next verse contradicts this. It says, “You’re the epistle of Christ ministered by us.” What does this mean, and how does this work? Now, it’s not enough for it to be written in your heart. As you study this devotional, for example, the Word is being ministered to you, but not all that’s contained in the Gospel is coming to you right now.

Moreover, think about the fact that Peter too ministered the Gospel and wrote letters to the churches, but he didn’t come with all of the truth of the Gospel. Paul was given a dispensation of it to bring to the Church, but it’s the same Gospel. Peter brings the generality of the Gospel, and Paul brings the specific, intricate, analytical details of the Gospel; how the Church should run. He wrote about the structure of the Church, and the new creation in Christ; he wrote those revelations in “letters”—epistles to the churches. Now, there’s the Word of God ministered to you (the letter), which you’ve received to become the “epistle of Christ,” but that may not be sufficient for the life that God wants you to live. So, what are you going to do? You’ve got to “write” your own truth as inspired by the Word. Read the concluding part of our theme verse again: it shows the result of the ministry of the Word that came to you. The Word of faith has been ministered to you; you’ve become a bearer or messenger of that same word; you believe it, you’re talking it, but that’s not enough, because what you have is what has been ministered to you. There’re some others that you have to “write” or draft for yourself.

The one you heard preached or taught was written to you, or written into you—into the tablet of your heart. But when you’re done with that, like when you’re done studying today’s devotional, what are you going to write? That’s what really transforms your life and sustains you in the glory highway. We’ll learn more and review how this works in our next study.

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that has come into my heart today, resulting in positive transformation and promotion, causing me to walk in glory and soar on the wings of your Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

오늘의 본문 구절을 확대번역본(AMP)으로 공부해보면 약간의 차이를 발견할 수 있습니다. “너희는 너희의 마음에 쓰여진 우리의 추천서(신임장)이며, 모든 사람에게 알려지고(인지되고, 인정되고) 읽혀진다.” 밑줄 친 부분을 주의해보십시오. 새국제성경(NIV)이나 킹제임스(KJV)에서는 “우리의 마음”이라고 하지만, 확대번역본은 “너희의 마음”이라고 합니다. 왜 그런 차이가 있습니까?

성경 번역가들이 작업할 때 항상 모든 사항에 집중하는 것은 아닙니다. 때로는 원칙이나 문맥, 메시지, 혹은 언어 그 자체에 집중하기도 합니다. 번역은 번역가들의 관점이나 복합적인 원문을 검토하려는 의지에 따라 달라질 수 있습니다. 어떤 복합적인 일을 다룰 때 당신에게 필요한 것은 당신을 인도하는 성령님의 사역입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절도 복합적입니다. 구절 자체가 복잡한 것이 아니라 그 안에 있는 진리가 복합적입니다. 정말 강력한 실재이지만 약간 복합적입니다. “너희는 너희의 마음에 쓰여진 우리의 추천서(신임장)이며…”

바울이 고린도에 보낸 편지를 읽어보면 거기에 담긴 진리들로 인해 신날 것입니다. 그러나 그것은 편지일 뿐입니다. 성경은 당신이 살아있는 편지이며 모든 사람들에게 알려지고 읽혀진다고 말합니다. 당신은 그리스도의 편지입니다! 이것은 굉장합니다. 예수님이 어떤 분이십니까? 그분은 살아있는 말씀이자 말씀이 육신이 된 분이셨습니다. 따라서 당신이 그리스도의 편지가 된다는 것은, 당신이 육신 안에 있는 그리스도의 말씀이라는 뜻입니다. 그리고 그리스도의 말씀은 곧 하나님의 말씀입니다.

WE’RE CHRIST’S EPISTLES

You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody (2 Corinthians 3:2 NIV).

When you study the verse above in the Amplified Classic Version, you’d notice a bit of difference. It says, “[No] you yourselves are our letter of recommendation (our credentials), written in your hearts, to be known (perceived, recognized) and read by everybody.” Notice the underlined phrase; in the NIV and the KJV, it says “our hearts” while the Amplified says, “your hearts.” Why is there such a difference?

When the translators work, they don’t always focus on all the points that are required. Sometimes, they focus on principle, context, message or pure language. It depends on what their vision was and their readiness to review complexities in the text. When you find some complex areas, what you need is the ministry of the Spirit to really give you guidance. The verse above is a complex area; not the verse itself, but the truth packaged therein; it’s such a powerful reality, but a bit complex. It says, “…you yourselves are our letter of recommendation (our credentials), written in your hearts…” (AMPC).

Now, when you read the epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, for example, you probably got excitedat the truths. But that was a written epistle; and here the Bible says you’re a living epistle, known and read by everybody; a letter from Christ! This is amazing. Who is Jesus? He’s the living Word; the Word who became flesh. To be Christ’s epistle, therefore, means you’re Christ’s Word in flesh, and Christ’s Word is God’s Word.

So, you’re the Word of God in flesh. Some people can’t handle this with their religious mind, but it’s simple to understand when you realize that in life, everything gives birth after its kind: dogs give birth to dogs; humans give birth to humans; the Word gives birth to the Word. 1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” As offsprings of the Word, we’re the epistles (word) of Christ. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
I’m born of God; therefore, I’m a living epistle, a letter from Christ, known and read by all. I live the life of the Word, full of glory, virtue and honour. I express the divine nature, living the Kingdom life of victory, prosperity, peace and joy now and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Consistent Progress

“그러나 의인의 길은 빛나는 빛같이 점점 더 빛나 완전한 날에 이르거니와”(잠 4:18, 한글킹제임스)

인생에서 원하는 것들 중 하나는 일관성입니다. 제가 “나는 항상 위로, 앞으로만 갑니다.”라고 말할 때, 이 말은 과장된 표현이나 앞으로 일어났으면 하는 일에 대한 고백이 아닙니다. 하나님의 말씀의 능력으로 가능한 삶의 실재입니다. 나는 항상 전진합니다. 이것이 그리스도 안에서 우리의 삶입니다.

당신은 일이나 사역이나 삶의 모든 분야에서 전진하는 일에 매우 일관적일 수 있습니다. 그리스도인에게 있어서 상황으로 인해 부유해지는 것은 번영이 아닙니다. 어떤 사람들은 좋은 시기로 인해 부유해질 수도 있습니다. 그러나 그들은 경제 상황이 좋을 때는 호황을 누리지만 상황이 바뀌면 그들의 부는 급락합니다. 이것으로는 충분하지 않습니다.

CONSISTENT PROGRESS

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18).

One of the things you want to see in your life is consistent success. When I say, “I’m always moving upward and forward,” it’s not an exaggeration or a confession of something that I want to happen; no! It’s the reality of my life, made possible by the power of God’s Word. I’m always making progress; that’s our life in Christ.

You can be very consistent, making progress in your work, in ministry, and in every area of your life. For the Christian, being circumstantially prosperous isn’t prosperity. Some people can be prosperous because of the conditions of the time. When the economic conditions are favourable, they do well, but when there’s a change, their prosperity takes a nosedive. That’s not good enough.

Study Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; they prospered, walking with God, irrespective of the economic conditions of the times. Genesis 26:12-14 talks about Isaac, and how he prospered so much at a time of famine, that the entire country envied him: “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.”

This is how it ought to be for every one of us, because we’re the seed of Abraham. Everything about God and the life He’s given us depicts consistency. Therefore, refuse to settle for undulating success. Declare, “My life is upward and forward only,” and then stick to the Word. Practise the Word; that’s the secret to a life of unending success.

1 Timothy 4:15 (GNB) lets us know that meditating on the Word of God is the guarantee for sustainable progress. Paul wrote to Timothy: “Practice these things and devote yourself to them, in order that your progress may be seen by all.” Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the reality of your Word in my life that causes me to make consistent progress. My life is upward and forward only, irrespective of the dwindling and erratic economic systems of the world. I declare that I walk in absolute and continual victory, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Your Life Is The Real Message

거듭난 당신은 복음을 전하는 사명을 받았습니다. 그리스도의 구원 메시지를 당신의 삶과 그 너머에 가지고 가십시오. 그러나 그리스도를 증거할 때, 당신이 말하는 내용보다 당신의 삶이 진정한 메시지라는 것을 아십니까? 사람들이 당신의 삶을 통해 그리스도와 관련하여 어떤 증거를 볼 수 있습니까? 당신의 삶이 진정한 메시지입니다. 다시 말해서, 당신이 전하고 가르치는 바를 먼저 당신의 삶을 통해 분명히 보일 수 있어야 합니다.

사람들은 “당신이 전하는 내용을 실천하십시오”라는 말을 자주 합니다. 그러나 반대로 당신이 실천하는 바를 전하는 것 역시 옳습니다. 당신의 삶에 아직 영향을 미치지 못한 메시지나 복음으로 다른 사람들에게 영향을 끼치려는 것은 어려운 일입니다. 그러므로 신성한 생명의 메시지를 전달하도록 예정된 자로써 사람들이 당신을 볼 때, 당신이 전하는 바의 결과를 볼 수 있어야 합니다. 이것은 자신을 위해 말씀을 완전히 이해하고 모든 상황에서 말씀을 실천하는 것으로부터 시작됩니다. 하나님의 말씀에 완전히 양보되어 말씀이 당신의 삶과 성품을 형성하게 하고 의의 삶으로 이끌도록 돕게 하십시오. 그렇게 할 때 당신은 반드시 의의 열매를 맺게 될 것입니다.

고린도후서 3:6에서 하나님은 말씀하십니다. “…우리를 새 언약의 [그리스도를 통한 구원의] 일꾼 되기에 만족하게 하셨으니 [우리를 딱 맞게, 가치 있게, 충분하게 만드셨으니] 율법 조문(법적으로 적힌 법규)으로 하지 아니하고 오직 영으로 함이니…”(AMPC) 그럼에도 불구하고, 진정한 메시지는 당신 안에 가지고 있는 것을 드러내는 것입니다.

“전문 설교자”가 되지 마십시오. 당신이 전하고 가르치는 것이 무엇이든지 결국 가장 중요한 것은 당신의 삶입니다. 그것이 당신의 진정한 메시지입니다. 그러므로 개인적인 발전을 위해 하나님의 말씀에 투자하십시오. 진지하게 말씀을 공부하고 묵상하는데 시간을 보내면서 말씀으로 당신의 삶을 지으십시오.

고백
내 삶은 신성한 생명의 메시지이며, 하나님의 사랑과 선하심과 의와 참된 경건의 메시지입니다. 이런 것들이 내 세상에 숨김없이 드러납니다. 나는 말씀이 내 삶과 성품을 발전시키고 올바른 사고방식을 만들도록 말씀에 완전히 양보되었습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

YOUR LIFE IS THE REAL MESSAGE

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18).

Being born again, you’ve been commissioned to preach the Gospel; to take the message of Christ’s salvation to your world and beyond. But did you know that much more than the things you say as you witness for Christ, your life is the real message?

When people see you, what would be their testimony of you as it pertains to Christ? Your life is the real message. In other words, what you preach and teach must first be evident in your own life.

It’s often said, “Practise what you preach”; but the reverse, “Preach what you practise” is also right. It’s a hard sell to try to impact someone else with a message or Gospel that hasn’t yet impacted your own life. So, as one ordained to bear the message of the divine life, the impact of that message must first reflect in the quality of your personality.

People should look at you and see the results of your preaching. It begins with you digesting the Word for yourself; understanding it and doing the Word in every situation. Become fully yielded to the Word of God to mould your life and character and help you lead a life of righteousness. That way, you’ll certainly bear fruits of righteousness.

2 Corinthians 3:6 AMPC says that God “…has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit….” Nevertheless, the real message that you have is a revelation of what’s inside you.

Don’t be a “professional preacher.” No matter what you preach or teach, at the end of the day, the most important thing is the true life that you have inside; that’s your real message. Therefore, invest in God’s Word for personal development. Build your life with the Word by taking your times of study and meditation seriously.

CONFESSION
My life is a message; a message of the divine life, of God’s love, goodness, righteousness and true holiness; these are expressed unreservedly to my world. I’m fully yielded to the Word to culture my life and character, giving me the right mindset, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Accept Rebuke And Correction

“모든 성경은 하나님의 감동으로 된 것으로 교훈과 책망과 바르게 함과 의로 교육하기에 유익하니”(딤후 3:16)

어떤 사람들은 잘못된 행동을 꾸짖는 사람이 없는 가정에서 자랍니다. 심지어 부모조차도 잘못을 나무라지 않습니다. 사람들이 자신의 마음을 그리스도께 드린 이후에도 하나님의 집에서 교정 받기를 어려워하는 이유가 바로 이 때문입니다. 그러나 이것은 그리스도인에게 합당하지 않습니다. 오늘의 본문 구절을 다시 읽어보십시오. 하나님의 말씀은 우리에게 교훈과 책망과 바르게 함과 의로 교육하기에 유익하다고 말합니다.

말씀이 당신의 성품과 새로운 사고방식을 형성하도록 말씀에 자신을 양보하는 것이 중요합니다. 감각이 당신을 지배하거나 통제하는 것을 허용하지 마십시오. 어떤 사람이 당신을 하나님의 말씀으로 바로잡으려 할 때 자만심으로 우쭐거리지 마십시오. 책망과 교정을 받아들이는 것이 겸손입니다. 그렇게 할 때, 당신의 탁월함이 드러납니다. 진정으로 위대한 사람들은 굉장히 겸손하기 때문입니다.

ACCEPT REBUKE AND CORRECTION

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).

Some people grew up in homes where no one could reprimand them for wrong doing; not even their parents. It explains why, even after giving their hearts to Christ, they still find it difficult to accept correction in the house of God. But that isn’t right for a Christian. Read our theme verse again; it says God’s Word is profitable for doctrine, rebuke, correction and instruction in righteousness.

You have to learn to accept correction in the house of God, because that’s one of the ways by which the Holy Spirit, through the Word, helps you develop godly character. Be humble and pay attention to your leaders as they instruct you in the Word. There’re certain things people learnt in their natural lives before coming to Christ; things that aren’t consistent with the Christ-nature. Those things aren’t suddenly put away by salvation. That’s the reason for the renewing of the mind, through meditation on God’s Word.

For example, Ephesians 4:31 says, “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.” This was written to people who were already Christians. It’s important that you yield to the Word to mould your character and give you a new mind-set. Refuse to accept and allow your senses to dominate or control you. Don’t be inflated with pride when someone is talking to you, trying to correct you with the Word of God. Accepting rebuke and correction is humility; it reveals your greatness, because truly great people are very humble.

PRAYER
Precious Father, I thank you for your Word that’s profitable to me for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, and that brings perfection into my life. I’m forever yielded to the lordship of your Word, to mould me in excellence and humility, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Make The Right Confessions

“너는 말씀을 가지고 여호와께로 돌아와서 아뢰기를 모든 불의를 제거하시고 선한 바를 받으소서 우리가 수송아지를 대신하여 입술의 열매를 주께 드리리이다”(호 14:2)

말은 매우 중요합니다. 사실은, 말이 전부입니다. 당신은 말을 할 때마다 그 말로 자신의 삶과 미래를 형성하게 됩니다. 즉 당신의 삶의 경로를 그리는 것입니다. 그러므로 당신의 말로 더 위대하고 밝은 미래를 그리는 것은 당신에게 달려 있습니다. 당신이 겪고 있는 문제와 어려움을 악화시키는 말을 하지 마십시오. 당신의 승리를 선포하십시오. 당신의 입에 바른 말을 두십시오.

열왕기하 4:8-36에서 수넴 여인의 감동적인 이야기를 읽어본 적이 있을 것입니다. 아들이 죽었는데도, 그녀는 서둘러 엘리사 선지자에게 가서 “평안하다(It is well)”고 대답했습니다. 그녀는 도와달라고 소리치거나 상황에 대해 불평하지 않았습니다. 오히려 하나님의 선지자에게 가서 바른 고백을 함으로 기적을 경험했습니다. 그녀는 상황에 근거해서 말하지 않고 하나님과 일치된 말을 했습니다. 성경은 이사야 3:10(쉬운성경)에서 이렇게 말합니다. “너희는 의로운 사람에게 일러주어라. 그들에게 좋은 일이 일어날 것이다(It is well).”

예수님은 마가복음 11:23에서 당신이 말한 것을 갖게 될 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다. 수넴 여인은 모든 일이 잘되고 있다고 말했고, 그녀의 고백이 결과를 가져왔습니다. 그러므로 항상 바른 고백을 하기로 선택하십시오. 바른 사고방식을 갖도록 말씀을 묵상하십시오. 바르게 말하기 위해서는 먼저 바르게 생각해야 하기 때문입니다. 하나님의 말씀은 당신의 생각을 새롭게 하고 당신의 심령에 믿음을 만들어냅니다.

이런 이유로 당신은 지속적으로 말씀과 교제해야 합니다. 골로새서 3:16은 말씀이 당신 안에 풍성히 거하게 하라고 말합니다. 말씀이 당신 안에서 지배하게 하여 그 가득한 것을 입으로 말하십시오(마 12:34). 그러면 당신의 입에서 나온 말씀이 세력을 얻어 당신을 더 높은 수준의 성공과 승리와 번영으로 쏘아 올릴 것입니다.

하나님은 이미 당신이 승리하는 삶을 살도록 하셨습니다. 당신의 역할은 그것에 동의하여 같은 고백을 함으로써 반응하는 것입니다. 지금 이 순간에도 당신이 위대한 삶을 살고 있다고 고백하십시오. 당신은 탁월하고 영광으로 충만하며, 그리스도 예수 안에서 다스림과 영광과 의의 생명을 산다는 것을 인식하고 선포하십시오.

고백
나는 지혜를 말합니다. 사라질 이 세상 통치자들의 지혜가 아니라 하나님의 지혜를 말합니다. 하나님의 지혜가 나의 말과 행동에서 드러납니다. 내가 말씀을 선포할 때 말씀이 나를 더 높은 차원의 성공과 승리와 번영이 있는 위대하고 밝은 미래로 쏘아 올립니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

MAKE THE RIGHT CONFESSIONS

Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips (Hosea 14:2).

Words are so important. As a matter of fact, words are everything. Every time you speak, you shape your life and future; you chart your course. You’re the product of your words. Therefore, it’s up to you to chart your course for a greater and brighter future, with your words. Don’t talk to promote the problems and difficulties you’re facing; declare your victories. Have the right words in your mouth.

You may have read the inspiring story of the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4:8-36. Even though her son had died, she hurried off to the Prophet Elisha with only one declaration on her lips, “It is well.” She wasn’t screaming for help or complaining; rather, she went to the prophet of God with the right confession, and she got a miracle. She didn’t speak on the basis of her situation; rather, she spoke in agreement with God. The Bible says in Isaiah 3:10 DRB, “Say to the just man (the righteous) that it is well….”

Jesus said in Mark 11:23 that you shall have what you say; the woman said it was well, and her confession produced results. Choose always to make the right confessions. Meditate on the Word to help you form the right mind-set, because before you can talk right, you must first think right. God’s Word renews your mind and produces faith in your heart.

This is why you must constantly fellowship with the Word. Colossians 3:16 says to let the Word dwell in you richly; let it gain the mastery in you, and out of that abundance, you’ll speak (Matthew 12:34). The Word on your lips will prevail and catapult you to higher levels of success, victory and prosperity. God already ordained your triumphant and victorious life; your role is to respond by affirming the same things in consent (Hebrews 13:5-6). Even now, affirm that you have a great life. Acknowledge and declare that you’re excellent and full of glory, living the life of righteousness, dominion and glory in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
I speak wisdom, yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world that come to nought, but divine wisdom; it’s heard in my words and seen in my actions. And as I affirm the Word, it prevails and catapults me to a greater and brighter future with higher levels of success, victory and prosperity! Glory to God!

“방언을 말하는 자는 사람에게 하지 아니하고 하나님께 하나니 이는 알아듣는 자가 없고 영으로 비밀을 말함이라”(고전 14:2)

때때로 사람들은 그들이 인생에서 겪지 않아야 할 일들이나 어떻게 해야 할지 모르는 일들을 경험하곤 합니다. 예를 들어, 당신이 그리스도인임에도 불구하고 사라지지 않을 것같은 고통이나 불편함을 겪는 것처럼 보일 수도 있습니다. 당신은 기도하고, 통증을 꾸짖고, 심지어 귀신을 쫓아내기도 했지만 소용이 없었을 수도 있습니다. 그렇다면 이제 당신은 무엇이 문제인지 궁금할 것입니다. 그 답을 얻기 위해 당신의 영을 들여다보십시오.

하나님의 빛이 당신의 영에 있습니다. 성경은 사람의 영이 주의 등불이며 사람의 깊은 속을 살핀다고 말합니다(잠 20:27). 그러므로 당신이 건강이나 어떤 일에 대해 염려하고 있다면 방언으로 기도하십시오. 곧장 의사를 찾아가거나 도움을 받을 수 있는 장소로 달려가지 마십시오. 먼저 성령님께 조언을 받으십시오. 그러면 성령님의 빛과 지혜가 당신 안에서 빠르게 떠올라 어떻게 해야 하는지를 정확하게 알려주는 것을 보고 놀랄 것입니다. 성령님은 당신이 자신과 삶에 대한 것들을 이해하도록 돕기 위해 당신 안에 계십니다. 그분은 당신의 미래를 보여주시며, 당신의 삶을 향한 그분의 계획과 일치하는 행동을 취하도록 당신을 인도하실 것입니다. 할렐루야!

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 성령의 인도하심에 감사드립니다. 오늘 방언으로 기도할 때 나의 이해의 눈은 밝아집니다. 나는 내 영에 있는 생명의 빛으로 인해 어둠 속에 다니지 않습니다. 당신의 빛과 지혜가 내 안에서 솟아나서 내가 마주하는 모든 도전들에 대해 무엇을, 어떻게, 언제 해야 하는지 정확하게 보여줍니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

STIR YOUR SPIRIT FOR ANSWERS

For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2).

Sometimes, people experience certain things in their lives that they shouldn’t and are completely at a loss for answers. For example, you could find that as a Christian, you seem to be experiencing a certain kind of pain or discomfort that wouldn’t go away. You might have prayed, rebuked the pain, and even rebuked the devil, but to no avail. Now, you’re wondering what the problem could be. Look to your spirit for the answer.

As God’s children, we’re never in the dark about anything. You can know anything, if you’d do what the Scripture says. Speak in tongues and receive answers from your spirit; your inner man. Before long, the mystery about that situation will come to your understanding. Jesus said, “…he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12). You’re not supposed to walk in darkness about your finances, your health, your career, business, ministry or any area of your life.

The light of God is in your spirit. The Bible says, “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly” (Proverbs 20:27). If you have concerns about your health or about anything, speak in tongues. Don’t just run to the doctors or places you think you might find help. Consult with the Holy Spirit first; you’ll be amazed how quickly His light and wisdom will well up within you, showing you precisely what to do. He’s in you to help you understand certain things about yourself and about life. He’ll show you the future and guide you to take specific steps in line with His plans for your life. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the guidance of your Spirit. As I speak in tongues, the eyes of my understanding are flooded with light. I don’t walk in darkness, for I have the light of life in my spirit. With every challenge I face, your light and wisdom well up within me, showing me precisely what to do, how to do them and when to do them, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“너희는 내가 일러준 말로 이미 깨끗하여졌으니”(요 15:3)

나쁜 습관은 귀신의 영향력과 밀접하게 연관되어 있습니다. 엄밀히 말하자면, 그 둘은 서로에게 영향을 줍니다. 사람은 영이기 때문에 그가 어떤 습관을 가지고 있다면 그것은 영적인 습관입니다. 습관은 행동이 반복될 때 형성되며, 좋은 습관도 있고 나쁜 습관도 있습니다. 당신이 좋은 행동을 반복하게 된다면 좋은 습관을 가지게 될 것이고, 나쁜 행동을 생활화한다면 나쁜 습관을 가지게 될 것입니다.

사탄은 종종 사람들을 조종하기 위해 나쁜 습관을 사용합니다. 그러나 보통은 사탄이 그의 뜻을 누군가에게 강요할 수 없습니다. 오히려 그것은 사람에게 달렸습니다. 사람이 마귀에게 자신을 내어줄 수도 있고 아니면 그렇게 하기를 거절할 수도 있습니다. 사람이 자신을 마귀에게 내어주면 마귀는 그를 이용합니다. 그러나 많은 사람들이 스스로 내어주고 있다는 사실을 깨닫지 못한 채 그렇게 하고 있습니다. 그러므로 성령 안에서 사는 것과 말씀을 아는 것이 승리하는 그리스도인의 삶을 사는 데 있어서 중요한 것입니다.

오늘의 본문 구절에서 예수님은 “너희는 내가 일러준 말로 이미 깨끗하여졌으니”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 이는 하나님의 말씀이 당신을 깨끗하게 한다는 뜻입니다. 하나님의 말씀은 당신을 정화합니다. 하나님의 말씀을 받아들이고 묵상하면, 그 말씀이 당신으로부터 불건전하고 부정한 모든 것을 제거합니다. 말씀은 당신의 삶에서 어둠을 뿌리뽑아 버릴 것입니다.

한번은 어떤 여성에게 사역하면서 그녀에게서 귀신을 쫓아낸 적이 있었습니다. 그때 구경하던 사람들 중 한 청년이 제 뒤에 서 있었습니다. 제가 사역을 마쳤을 때 그 청년이 저에게 말했습니다. “목사님, 저도 방금 목사님이 사역하신 여성과 같은 문제를 가지고 있었습니다. 제 안에도 악한 영들이 있었습니다.” 저는 “그래서 어떻게 됐습니까?”라고 물었습니다. 그러자 그는 “하나님의 말씀을 묵상하니까 귀신들이 모두 떠났습니다.”라고 답했습니다. 이것이 하나님의 말씀의 능력입니다!

그리스도인들에게서 귀신을 쫓아내기 위해 축사 사역을 할 필요가 없습니다. 그들에게 말씀을 가르치십시오. 그리스도인은 사탄보다 우세하며 모든 통치자들과 권세들 위에 그리스도와 함께 앉아있습니다. 그러므로 당신이 어떤 사탄의 공격이나 영향력 아래 있다면 하나님의 말씀을 의식적으로 묵상하십시오. 그렇게 할 때 당신은 스스로 자유롭게 할 것입니다. 이렇게 말하십시오. “예수 그리스도 이름 안에서 나는 내 행동과 삶에 대한 사탄과 악한 영들의 영향력을 부수고, 앞으로도 그 영향력에 굴복하기를 거절한다.”

고백
나는 말씀 안에서 살기 때문에 의의 열매를 맺고 의의 일들을 행하며, 온전함과 탁월함 가운데 살아갑니다. 하나님의 말씀이 내 삶을 다스리며 나의 영과 혼과 몸을 깨끗케 합니다. 나는 하나님의 온전한 뜻과 영광 가운데 살게 하는 성령님의 인도에 민감하게 반응합니다. 아멘.

YOU CAN FREE YOURSELF

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you (John 15:3).

There’s a strong connection between bad habits and demonic influence; and frankly, they flow into each other. The human person is a spirit, and so, if he has a habit, it’s a spiritual habit. Habits are formed from repetition of actions. There’re good habits and there’re bad habits. If you practise good actions, they result in good habits; if you practise bad actions, they result in bad habits.

Satan often takes the opportunity of bad habits to manipulate people. However, he can’t force his will upon anyone ordinarily; rather, it’s about man yielding himself to the devil or refusing to do so. If he yields himself to the devil, then the devil takes advantage of him. Most people yield themselves without realizing they’re doing it. Hence, walking in the spirit and the knowledge of the Word is vital to a victorious Christian life.

In our opening scripture, Jesus said, “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.” This means the Word of God is a cleanser; it purifies you. If you take the Word of God and meditate on it, it’ll rid you of anything that’s unwholesome or unclean. It’ll eradicate the darkness from your life.

Once, I was ministering to a lady, and rebuking the devil from her, and there was a young man standing behind me among those who were watching. When I was done, he got my attention and said, “Pastor, I used to have the same problem that you just dealt with in that lady. I had those same evil spirits in me.” I said, “So what happened?” He said, “Through meditation on God’s Word, they all left me.” That’s the power of God’s Word!

You don’t need to have deliverance services to cast out devils from Christians; teach them the Word. The Christian is superior to Satan; he’s seated with Christ, far above principality and power. So, if you’ve been under some demonic attacks or influence, if you’d consciously meditate on God’s Word, you’ll free yourself. You can say, “In the Name of Jesus Christ, I break the influence of Satan and evil spirits over my life and my actions and refuse to yield to their sway henceforth!”

CONFESSION
I walk in perfection and excellence, producing works and fruits of righteousness, because I live in the Word. The Word of God has the ascendancy in my life and purifies me through and through—spirit, soul and body. I’m sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in my life, who causes me to walk in God’s perfect will and in the glory of God. Amen.

귀신을 다스리는 권세
Authority Over Demons

“믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며 새 방언을 말하며”(막 16:17)

예수님이 오시기 전까지는 귀신들과 악한 영들에 대한 정확한 정보가 없었습니다. 그러나 예수님을 통해 많은 사람들이 당연하게 여겼던 것들이 영적으로 비춰졌습니다.

예를 들어, 예수님은 대부분의 질병과 아픔의 배후에는 귀신이 있다는 것을 알려주셨습니다. 성경은 사람들이 예수님께 말 못하는 사람을 데려왔을 때 예수님이 귀신을 쫓아내셨다고 말합니다. 귀신이 나가자마자 그 사람은 들을 수 있게 되었고 말문이 열렸습니다. 누가복음 11:14은 말합니다. “예수께서 한 말 못하게 하는 귀신을 쫓아내시니 귀신이 나가매 말 못하는 사람이 말하는지라 무리들이 놀랍게 여겼으나”

마가복음 1:32-34에서도 동일한 진리를 말합니다. “저물어 해 질 때에 모든 병자와 귀신 들린 자를 예수께 데려오니 온 동네가 그 문 앞에 모였더라 예수께서 각종 병이 든 많은 사람을 고치시며 많은 귀신을 내쫓으시되 귀신이 자기를 알므로 그 말하는 것을 허락하지 아니하시니라” 오늘날 많은 사람들이 귀신의 활동에 대해 무지합니다. 그러나 실제로 사람들의 삶을 지배하는 악한 영들이 있습니다. 때로 당신은 사납고 폭력적인 성격을 가진 사람들을 발견합니다. 그들은 자신의 아버지가 그런 성격이었다고 말하며 그것이 정상이라고 생각하지만, 그렇지 않습니다. 악한 영들이 그 일이 일어나게 하는 것입니다.

성경은 사람들을 더럽히고 그들의 삶에 악한 일들을 행하는 더러운 영들에 대해 말합니다. 사람들이 삶에서 좌절을 경험하게 되는 것도 그런 더러운 영들 때문입니다. 다양한 분야에서 큰 성공을 이룬 사람들 중에 갑자기 공허하게 추락하는 사람들이 있습니다. 그들은 자신들이 악한 세력에 의해 공격받고 있다는 사실을 모른 채 모든 것을 잃습니다.

그러나 하나님께 감사드립니다! 그리스도 안에서 당신은 당신의 삶에 악한 일들을 행하는 귀신들을 쫓아낼 권세를 가지고 있습니다. 당신은 귀신들을 쫓아내기 위해 도와줄 사역자가 필요하지 않습니다. 예수님은 그분을 믿는 우리 모두가 그분의 이름 안에서 귀신들을 쫓아낼 수 있다고 말씀하셨습니다(막 16:17). 이것은 우리의 신성함에 대한 표적입니다. 그러므로 당신 주변에서 불편한 사건들이 일어나고 그 일의 배후가 사탄이라는 것을 감지하게 되면, 사탄을 쫓아버리십시오!

고백
주님, 그리스도 안에서 귀신과 어둠의 세력을 다스리는 권세를 주셔서 감사드립니다. 지금도 나는 사탄과 그의 귀신들이 나와 관련된 모든 일에 영향을 미치는 것을 허락하지 않으며, 내가 가진 권세를 인식하며 행합니다. 나는 오늘 나의 가정과 직장에서 마귀의 일들을 물리칩니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

AUTHORITY OVER DEMONS

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues (Mark 16:17).

Until Jesus came, people didn’t have the accurate information about demons and evil spirits. A lot of things that many had thought were ordinary were shown by Jesus to be spiritual.

For example, He made us aware that most sicknesses and diseases had devils behind them. When they brought someone who was deaf and dumb to Him, the Bible says He cast the spirit out. And right away, the deaf ears were unstopped and the person

began to hear, and the dumb tongue was loosened. Luke 11:14 says, “And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.”

Mark 1:32-34 reveals the same truth: “And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. And all the city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.” There’re many today that are ignorant of demonic activities. But the reality is, there’re evil spirits that are running people’s lives. Sometimes, you find someone who has a fierce and violent temper. They said his father was like that, and he thinks it’s normal, but it’s not. It’s evil spirits that make those things happen.

The Bible talks of unclean spirits, which also make people unclean, and do evil things in the lives of human beings. Some of them are responsible for the frustrations some people experience in their lives.

You find very successful people in various fields who suddenly fall back to emptiness. They lose everything, not knowing they’re being invaded by demonic forces. But thanks be unto God! In Christ, you have authority over demons to cast them out from your affairs. You don’t need a minister to help you cast out demons. Jesus said every one of us who believes in Him would cast out devils in His Name (Mark 16:17); it’s a sign of our divinity. So, if there’ve been events and actions around you that you’re uncomfortable with, and you perceive Satan to be behind them, cast him out!

CONFESSION
Thank you, blessed Lord, for my authority in Christ over demons and the powers of darkness. Even now, I walk in the light of this authority by forbidding Satan and his demons from exerting upon or influencing anything that has to do with me. I hold off demonic activities in my family and workplace today, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
