Revelatory Understanding By The Spirit
“[내가 항상 기도함은] 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님, 영광의 아버지께서 지혜와 계시[신비와 비밀을 아는 통찰력]의 영을 너희에게 주사 하나님을 [깊고 친밀하게] 알게 하시고”(엡1:17 확대번역본)
마태복음 16:13-20에서 예수님은 제자들에게 그분의 정체성을 정의할 두 가지 중요한 질문을 하셨습니다. 먼저 예수님은 그들에게 “사람들이 인자를 누구라 하느냐”고 물으셨습니다.
제자들의 대답을 들으신 후 예수님은 두 번째 질문을 하셨습니다. “너희는 나를 누구라 하느냐”(마16:15) 성경은 말합니다. “…시몬 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 주는 그리스도시요 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다”(마16:16). 베드로가 예수님을 그리스도로 고백한 것은 하나님으로부터 온 계시였지만 베드로는 알지 못했습니다. 베드로는 이것이 자신의 생각이라고 여겼습니다.
예수님은 베드로에게 말씀 하셨어야 했습니다. “바요나 시몬아 네가 복이 있도다 이를 알게 한 이는 혈육이 아니요 하늘에 계신 내 아버지시니라”(마16:17). 할렐루야! 베드로와 마찬가지로 많은 하나님의 백성이 하나님으로부터 계시를 받았습니다. 생각해 보십시오. 당신은 예수님이 그리스도이심을 어떻게 알았습니까? 이를 당신의 영에 계시하신 분은 성령님 이십니다. “…또 성령으로 아니하고는 누구든지 예수를 주시라 할 수 없느니라”(고전12:3).

진리를 계시해주시는 것이 우리 안에 계신 성령님의 사역의 일부입니다. 그러므로 당신의 인생에 걸쳐 그분을 신뢰하십시오. 그분을 더 알고 그분의 말씀대로 생활하는 것에 가장 열정을 쏟으십시오. 그러한 교제를 통해 성령님은 계속해서 그분 자신과 왕국의 더 큰 신비를 드러내실 것입니다.

Revelatory Understanding By The Spirit
“[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him”(Ephesians 1:17 AMPC).
In Matthew 16:13-20, Jesus asked His disciples a pressing pair of questions bordering on His identity. First, He asked them, “Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?”
After getting their responses, He then asked the second question: “But whom say ye that I am?” (Matthew 16:15). The Bible says, “…Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16). Peter’s confession of Jesus as the Christ was a revelation from God, but Peter didn’t know it; He thought it was his reasoning.
Jesus had to tell him: “Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven” (Verse 17). Hallelujah! Just like Peter, many of God’s people have received revelations from God. Think about it: How did you know Jesus is the Christ? It’s the Holy Spirit that revealed it to your spirit. The Bible says, “…no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost” (1 Corinthians 12:3).
You believe the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ; you read about it in the Scriptures and believed. That was the Holy Spirit granting you insight into that mystery. Likewise, the resurrection of Jesus Christ; you weren’t there when it happened, but you believe.
Also, you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He died for your sins and God raised Him from the dead, and He’s alive today; that’s a revelation from God. Your brain can’t figure out such truths. Science can never give them to you. You have them in your spirit because God made them known to your spirit.
It’s part of the ministry of the Spirit in us: the unveiling of truth. So, trust Him with your life. Make knowing Him more, and living His Word, your greatest passion. Through that fellowship, He’ll keep unveiling Himself and the greater mysteries of the Kingdom to you.
CONFESSION
I have a revelatory understanding granted me by the Holy Spirit through the Word. I’m spiritually insightful, and I function with the Spirit of wisdom expressed in full discernment and accurate knowledge of Him, as I feed on the Word continually. Hallelujah!
