Christ Is The Rock

“… 또 내가 네게 이르노니 너는 베드로라 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라”(마 16:17-18)

주 예수님은 베드로가 놀라운 계시적 통찰력으로 말한 그리스도이자 살아계신 하나님의 아들이신 주님의 정체성에 대한 응답으로 오늘의 본문 구절과 같은 놀라운 말씀을 하셨습니다. 많은 사람들이 “내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니”라는 주님의 말씀을 오해합니다.

어떤 사람들은 예수님께서 예수님이 그리스도라는 것에 대한 베드로의 계시를 언급하셨다고 추측합니다. 그것은 사실이 아닙니다! 주님은 베드로의 계시를 언급하신 것이 아닙니다. 주님은 간결하게 말씀하셨습니다. “베드로야, 내가 그리스도라는 계시로 내가 내 교회를 세우겠다”고 말씀하지 않으셨습니다. 그분은 “내가 그리스도 위에 내 교회를 세우리라”고 말씀하셨습니다. 그리스도는 반석이십니다.

성경의 다른 부분들을 읽어보면 다윗이 주님을 “반석”이라고 말한 부분을 확인할 수 있습니다. 사무엘하 22:2에서 다윗은 사울을 포함한 모든 적으로부터 자신을 구출해 주신 주님께 감사를 드렸습니다. “주는 나의 반석이시요, 나의 요새시요, 나의 구출자시요”(한글흠정역)

그리고 시편 18:2에서 다윗은 다음과 같이 말했습니다. “여호와는 나의 반석이시요 나의 요새시요 나를 건지시는 이시요 나의 하나님이시요 내가 그 안에 피할 나의 바위시요 나의 방패시요 나의 구원의 뿔이시요 나의 산성이시로다” 그는 계속해서 46절에서 이렇게 말했습니다. “여호와는 살아 계시니 나의 반석을 찬송하며 내 구원의 하나님을 높일지로다”

본질적으로 그리스도는 교회의 토대입니다. 그분은 반석이십니다. 고린도전서 10:4은 분명히 말합니다. “… 그 반석은 곧 그리스도시라” 교회는 베드로의 계시 위에 세워진 것이 아닙니다. 교회는 반석, 즉 그리스도 예수 위에 세워졌습니다. 할렐루야!

CHRIST IS THE ROCK

“… And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:17-18).

The Lord Jesus made the remarkable statement in our theme scripture above in response to Peter’s amazing revelatory insight about the Master’s identity as the Christ, the Son of the living God. Many have misconstrued what the Master meant when He said, “Upon this rock I will build my church.”

Some have speculated that Jesus was referring to Peter’s revelation about Jesus being the Christ, but no! He wasn’t referring to Peter’s revelation. The Master was succinct in his communication; He didn’t say, “Peter, upon the revelation that I’m the Christ will I build my church.” Rather, what He said in essence was, “I will build my Church on Christ.” Christ is the rock.

To further clarify this, it’s important to follow and understand certain prophetic nuances in the Bible. For example, in Matthew 22:41-46, Jesus asked the Pharisees about their understanding of the Messiah, and they replied that Christ was the Son of David. Then He asked them, if the Messiah was the son of David, how come David addressed Him as Lord? And then He quoted what David said in Psalm 110:1, “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.”

When you read several other portions of the scriptures, you’ll observe where David referred to the LORD as “the Rock.” In 2 Samuel 22:2, for example, he spoke to the LORD, expressing gratitude for the deliverance from all his enemies, including Saul. He declared, “…The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer….”

Then in Psalm 18:2, he said, “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength….” In the 46th verse, he continues, “The LORD lives; blessed be my rock; let the God of my salvation be exalted.”

In essence, Christ is the foundation of the Church; He is the rock. 1 Corinthians 10:4I states clearly, “…and that rock was Christ.” The Church is not built on Peter’s revelation; it stands unshakable on the Rock—Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the revelation that the Church is built on Christ, the solid Rock. I stand firm on this foundation, anchored in Christ’s unchanging, unmovable, unshakable, resolute, firm, constant and unwavering truth. Thank you, Lord, for the church is marching on, making progress, establishing your will in the earth, and in the hearts of men, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

받으실 만한 예배

Acceptable Worship

“그러므로 우리가 움직일 수 없는 왕국을 받을진대 은혜를 소유하자. 이 은혜를 힘입어 우리가 공경하는 마음과 하나님께 속한 두려움을 가지고 받으실 만하게 하나님을 섬길지니”(히 12:28, 한글 흠정역)

오늘의 본문 구절이 우리에게 경건함과 두려움을 하나님께서 받을만하신 예배를 드리라고 말한 것에 주목하십시오. “받을만하신 예배”란 무엇입니까? 이는 말씀에 따른 예배입니다. 그것이 하나님이 받으시는 예배입니다.

예배 중에 기분이 좋았다고 해서 그 예배가 받아들여진다는 뜻은 아닙니다. 많은 사람들이 예배라고 부르며 오랫동안 불렀던 많은 노래들은 전혀 예배가 아니었습니다.

예를 들어, 시편 기자가 시편 100:4에 쓴 내용으로 노래를 만든 사람들이 있습니다. “감사함으로 그의 문에 들어가며 찬송함으로 그의 궁정에 들어가서…” 다윗 왕이 지었을 지는 모르지만, 오늘날 우리는 하나님의 임재 안으로 “들어가지” 않습니다. 당신이 거듭난 그 순간 당신은 하나님의 임재 안에서 태어났습니다. 당신은 하나님의 임재 안에 삽니다. 사실, 당신은 자신 안에 그리고 자신과 함께 하나님의 임재를 가지고 다닙니다.

그렇기 때문에 누군가가 “그분의 임재로 들어가자”라고 말한다면, 저는 “당신은 어디에서 오셨습니까?”라고 묻습니다. 이러한 구별이 너무 미묘해 보일 수도 있지만, 단순한 의미론적인 것은 아닙니다. 진정한 예배는 감정, 노래, 춤 혹은 아름다운 선율에 관한 것이 아닙니다. 진정한 예배는 말씀을 따라야 합니다.

주 예수님은 “아버지께 참되게 예배하는 자들은 영과 진리로 예배할 때가 오나니 곧 이 때라 아버지께서는 자기에게 이렇게 예배하는 자들을 찾으시느니라”(요 4:23)고 말씀하셨습니다. 어떤 사람은 “저는 깨끗한 양심으로 예배드립니다”라고 말합니다. 순수한 양심이 받을만하신 예배와 동일하다고 생각하는 것은 위험합니다.

당신의 양심은 당신이 소유한 지식을 바탕으로 당신을 인도할 것입니다. 당신의 이해가 제한된다면 양심도 제한될 것입니다. 그것은 충분치 않은 인도입니다. 인간 영의 소리인 양심은 주님께 받을만하신 예배를 드릴 수 있도록 말씀에 대한 지식과 이해를 통한 훈련을 필요로 합니다.

ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP

“Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus, let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence, and awe” (Hebrews 12:28 RSV).

Observe that the opening verse tells us to offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe. What does “acceptable worship” mean? It’s worship that’s according to the Word; that’s the worship God accepts.

That you “felt” good during worship doesn’t mean it’s acceptable worship. Many songs that many have sung through the years that they called worship, were not worship at all.

For example, they’re those who made a song out of what the psalmist wrote in Psalm 100:4, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise….” King David may have composed it, but today, we do not “enter” into the presence of God. The day you were born again, you were born into the presence of God; that’s where you live. In fact, you carry the presence of God in you and with you!

That’s why, when someone says, “Let’s enter into His presence,” I ask, “Where are you coming from?” These distinctions may seem subtle, but are far from mere semantics. True worship is not about emotions, singing, dancing or having melodious tunes; it has to be according to the Word.

The Lord Jesus said, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him” (John 4:23). Someone says, “But I worship with pure conscience,” The danger lies in assuming that a pure conscience equates to acceptable worship.

Your conscience will guide you based on the knowledge you possess. If your understanding is limited, your conscience too will be limited; so, it’s an insufficient guide. The conscience, as the voice of the human spirit, requires training through the knowledge and understanding of the Word to be able to present to the Lord acceptable worship.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the blessing and privilege to offer acceptable worship to you. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, and glory forever. You’re exalted as head over all, and I worship you today in holiness and truth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A Royal Progeny

“그들로 우리 하나님 앞에서 나라와 제사장들을 삼으셨으니 그들이 땅에서 왕 노릇 하리로다 하더라”(계 5:10)

성경 전체에서 아브라함이 왕으로 언급된 적이 없다는 것이 놀랍지 않습니까? 그러나 하나님께서는 창세기 17:6에서 아브라함에게 “내가 너로 심히 번성하게 하리니 내가 네게서 민족들이 나게 하며 왕들이 네게로부터 나오리라”고 말씀하셨습니다.

하나님은 야곱에게도 같은 말씀을 반복하셨습니다. “나는 전능한 하나님이라 생육하며 번성하라 한 백성과 백성들의 총회가 네게서 나오고 왕들이 네 허리에서 나오리라”(창 35:11) 하나님께서는 아브라함에게서 왕들이 나올 것이라고 명하셨습니다.

그런 다음 신약에 오면 요한계시록 1:5-6에서 주님의 속량 사역을 통해 우리를 죄에서 씻으셨을 뿐 아니라 하나님 앞에 왕과 제사장으로 삼으셨다는 영광스러운 진리를 계시해줍니다. “… 우리를 사랑하사 그의 피로 우리 죄에서 우리를 해방하시고 그의 아버지 하나님을 위하여 우리를 나라와 제사장으로 삼으신 그에게 영광과 능력이 세세토록 있기를 원하노라 아멘” 이제 우리는 왕족의 유업을 공유하고 있습니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

당신의 정체성을 받아들이십시오. 당신은 왕입니다. 하나님은 당신을 삶의 영역들에서 통치하고 다스리도록 임명하셨습니다. 그분은 당신이 왕이라는 의식을 갖기 원하실 뿐만 아니라, 왕이신 주 예수님께서 우리를 왕과 제사장 삼으신 것처럼 당신 역시 왕을 재생산하기를 기대하십니다.

A ROYAL PROGENY

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth” (Revelation 5:10).

Isn’t it remarkable that all through the Scriptures, Abraham was never referred to as a king? But he became a progenitor of kings. In Genesis 17:6, God said to Abraham, “And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.”

God reiterated the same thing to Jacob: “…I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins” (Genesis 35:11). So, God gave a directive that from Abraham, kings would emerge.

Then we come to the New Testament and Revelation 1:5-6 unveils a glorious truth, that through the Lord’s redemptive work, He has not only washed us from our sins but has made us kings and priests unto God. It says, “…Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” We now share in the royal heritage. Blessed be God!

Embrace your identity; you’re a king. God has ordained you to reign and rule in the realms of life. Not only does He want you to have the consciousness that you’re a king, He also expects you to reproduce kings like you, just as the Lord Jesus, the ultimate King, has made us kings and priests.

Kings reign by issuing decrees and pronouncements. Embrace your identity as a royal progeny.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I’m of the lineage of kings, and I issue decrees and pronouncements, establishing your will, plans and purposes in the hearts of men, and the nations of the world. I declare that I’m reigning as a king in life over all circumstances through the Word and the power of the Holy Ghost at work in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“너희 블레셋 사람들아 강하게 되며 대장부가 되라 너희가 히브리 사람의 종이 되기를 그들이 너희의 종이 되었던 것 같이 되지 말고 대장부 같이 되어 싸우라 하고”(삼상 4:9)

사무엘상 4:1-9에서 이스라엘 백성들은 블레셋 사람들과 전쟁을 하고 패하여 약 4천 명을 잃게 되었습니다. 고민에 빠진 이스라엘 장로들은 실로에서 언약궤를 가져오기로 결정했습니다. 그들은 그 궤가 자신들을 적들로부터 구출해 주기를 소망했습니다.

궤가 도착하자 큰 소리가 났고, 블레셋 사람들은 그 소리를 듣고 두려워했습니다. 그들은 히브리 백성들의 전능하신 하나님을 마주하는 것에 대해 염려했습니다. 그러자 블레셋 지도자들은 그들의 백성들에게 “너희 블레셋 사람들아 강하게 되며 대장부가 되라 너희가 히브리 사람의 종이 되기를 그들이 너희의 종이 되었던 것 같이 되지 말고 대장부 같이 되어 싸우라”(삼상 4:9)고 말했습니다.

“대장부가 되라”는 말은 “남자가 되어라” 또는 “남자답게 행동하라”는 뜻입니다. 그들은 이 지시를 통해 도전이나 역경에 직면하여 힘, 용기, 회복 탄력성을 나타내도록 스스로 동기부여했습니다. 그들은 나가서 더욱 맹렬히 싸웠고, 결국 이스라엘을 이겼습니다.

열왕기상 2:2에서 다윗은 그의 말년에 솔로몬에게 “내가 이제 세상 모든 사람이 가는 길로 가게 되었노니 너는 힘써 대장부가 되고”라고 명했습니다. 솔로몬이 왕위에 올랐음에도 불구하고 다윗이 솔로몬에게 왕이나 왕자로서 스스로를 나타내라고 지시하지 않았다는 사실은 매우 흥미롭습니다.

그 대신, 리더십의 자질과 힘을 보이는 것을 강조했습니다. 다윗은 전사였으므로 솔로몬 역시 어려움 가운데서도 강하고, 담대하고, 회복력을 발휘하도록 격려했습니다.

신약에서 바울은 고린도전서 16:13에서 하나님의 백성들에게 비슷한 말을 했습니다. “깨어 믿음에 굳게 서서 남자답게 강건하라” 여기서 “남자답게 강건하라”는 고린도 그리스도인들에게 리더십, 회복탄력성, 힘과 관련된 자질들을 나타내 보이라는 구체적인 표현입니다.

이는 성별을 말하는 것이 아니라 믿음과 견고함의 관점에서 용기와 회복탄력성의 덕을 강조한다는 것을 이해하는 것이 중요합니다.

기도

나는 용기와 회복탄력성, 힘으로 충만합니다. 나는 믿음 안에 굳게 서서 가족, 지역 공동체, 나라, 그 너머에 리서십의 유산을 남기도록 힘을 받았습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

COURAGE, RESILIENCE AND STRENGTH

“Be strong and quit yourselves like men, O ye Philistines, that ye be not servants unto the Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit yourselves like men, and fight” (1 Samuel 4:9).

In 1 Samuel 4:1-9, the Israelites faced the Philistines in battle and suffered a defeat, losing about four thousand men. Troubled, the elders of Israel decided to bring the Ark of the Covenant from Shiloh, hoping it would save them from their enemies.

As the Ark arrived, there was a great shout, and the Philistines, hearing it, became afraid. They expressed concern about facing the mighty God of the Hebrews, but in response, the Philistine leaders urged their people, “Be strong and quit yourselves like men, O ye Philistines, that ye be not servants unto the Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit yourselves like men, and fight” (1 Samuel 4:9).

The phrase “quit yourselves like men” in this context means to “be a man” or “act like a man.” With this instruction, they encouraged themselves to demonstrate qualities of strength, courage, and resilience in the face of challenges or adversity. They went out and fought more fiercely, ultimately defeating the Israelites.

In 1 Kings 2:2, David, in his final days, charged Solomon, saying, “I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man.” It’s quite interesting that David didn’t instruct Solomon to show himself as a king or a prince even though Solomon was crowned king.

Instead, the emphasis was on him demonstrating qualities of leadership and strength. Since David himself was a man of war, he encouraged Solomon to be strong and courageous, resilient in the face of adversity.

In the New Testament, Paul made a similar call when he exhorted God’s people in 1 Corinthians 16:13, saying, “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong” The phrase “quit you like men” is a specific expression urging the Corinthian Christians to embody qualities associated with leadership, resilience and strength.

It’s essential to note that the expression isn’t addressing gender but rather emphasizes virtues of courage and resilience, in the context of faith and steadfastness.

CONFESSION

I’m full of courage, resilience and strength. I’m strengthened to stand firm in faith and produce a legacy of leadership in my family, community, nation, and beyond, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Model Your Life After Christ

구약의 선지자들을 자기 삶의 본으로 삼고 싶어 하는 그리스도인들이 있습니다. 그들은 실제로 “오, 주님. 제가 엘리야처럼 하늘에서 번개를 내려 주님의 적들을 불태워버리기 소망합니다.”라고 기도합니다. 어떤 사람들은 예레미야가 가졌던 것과 같은 기름부음을 원하며 그 기름부음으로 하나님을 믿지 않는 사람들과 나라들에 대한 심판을 예언하기 바랍니다. 이는 뭔가 잘못된 것입니다.

또 다른 엘리야나 예레미야가 되려고 하지 마십시오. 그리스도를 본받으십시오. 누가복음 9:54-55에서 야고보와 요한은 사마리아 사람들이 예수님을 거부하는 모습을 보고 주님께 이렇게 물었습니다. “주여 우리가 불을 명하여 하늘로부터 내려 저들을 멸하라 하기를 원하시나이까”

주님은 그들을 엄하게 꾸짖으시며 “너희가 어떤 영에 속해 있는지 너희가 알지 못하는도다.”(눅 9:55, 한글흠정역) 라고 말씀하셨습니다.

성경은 말합니다. “하나님을 따라 의와 진리의 거룩함으로 지으심을 받은 새 사람을 입으라”(엡 4:24) 당신은 구약의 선지자들을 본받는 것이 아닙니다. 우리가 따라야 할 본 보기가 있습니다. 바로 예수님이십니다!

에베소서 5:1은 우리가 하나님의 사랑받는 자녀로써 하나님을 본받아야 한다고 권면합니다. 우리는 그분의 조용하고, 온유하고, 사랑이 많고, 긍휼이 넘치는 영을 닮아야 합니다. 우리는 우리 안에 하나님의 생명과 본성을 가지고 있기 때문에 이것은 어려운 일이 아닙니다. 우리는 그분처럼 말하고 사랑할 수 있으며, 이 땅에서 완전한 주권과 통치권을 가지고 행할 수 있습니다.

기도할 때에도 예수님을 따라 하십시오. 예를 들어, 요한복음 17장에 나오는 예수님의 기도 내용을 공부해 보고 예수님처럼 기도하십시오. 예수님처럼 아버지를 기쁘게 하는 일에 가장 우선적인 갈망과 지속적인 열정을 가지십시오. 예수님의 기쁨은 아버지의 뜻을 이루는 것이었습니다. 당신도 이 일에 매일 집중해야 합니다.

MODEL YOUR LIFE AFTER CHRIST

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:29-30).

There’re some Christians who like to model their lives after the Old Testament prophets. Some actually would pray, “O, Lord, I want to be a type of Elijah so that I may initiate a bolt of lightning down out of the sky and incinerate your enemies.” Some ask for the same unction Jeremiah had so they can prophesy judgment on people and nations that don’t believe in God. Something is wrong.

Don’t try to be another Elijah or Jeremiah. Emulate Christ. In Luke 9:54-55 NKJV, when James and John, two of the disciples, witnessed when the people rejected Jesus in a Samaritan village, they asked the Master, “…Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?”

The Lord rebuked and severely censured them. He said, “…You do not know what manner of spirit you are of.”

The Bible says, “You must display a new nature because you are a new person, created in God’s likeness—righteous, holy, and true” (Ephesians 4:24 NLT). You aren’t to be fashioned after the Old Testament prophets, we have a model, and that’s Jesus!

In Ephesians 5:1, we’re admonished to be imitators of God as His beloved children. We’re to emulate His quiet, gentle, loving, and compassionate spirit. This is easy because we have His life and nature in us. Therefore, we can talk and love like Him, and walk in absolute mastery and dominion in the earth.

Even in prayer, emulate Jesus. Study the content of His prayer, for example, in John 17, and pray like Him. Have the primary desire and enduring passion to please the Father as he did. His joy was to fulfil the will of the Father. That should be your focus every day.

If you were on the journey to be like the revivalists of Old, or to be patterned after the Old Testament prophets, or anyone else for that matter, recalibrate your life immediately. You’d be amazed at the profound joy that’ll engulf you, leaving you transformed into a more Christlike personality. Hallelujah!

My life is for the glory of God, because it’s modelled after Christ; my desires align with His perfect will as I live to please Him in all things. His love, compassion and tender mercies are manifested in and through me today. Amen. Hallelujah!

Live Unto Him

많은 사람이 다양한 걱정과 삶의 문제에 대해 불만을 가지며 해결하려고 애씁니다. 종종 그들의 불만은 그리스도를 위해 사는 삶의 가치와 성취를 배우지 못한 데서 비롯됩니다. 그분을 위해 산다는 것은 그분을 기쁘시게 하는 일에서 만족과 성취감을 느끼는 것을 의미합니다. 그리고 그분을 기쁘시지 않게 하는 일에서 당신 역시 기쁘지 않게 되는 것입니다.

LIVE UNTO HIM

“For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s” (Romans 14:8).

In life, many grapple with discontentment, burdened by various concerns and life’s challenges. Often, their dissatisfaction stems from not having learnt the value and fulfilment of living unto Christ. Living unto Him means finding contentment and fulfilment in what pleases Him, and your displeasure is confined to that which also displeases Him.

In other words, your displeasure can only be a reflection of His displeasure, which means you’ll take nothing personally; you become impervious to personal offences. If you claim to be living unto the Lord, but still harbour hurt, offence, or anger, it raises the question of whether your desire to please the Lord is genuine.

It brings to mind the story in 1 Samuel 8:4-7; the elders of Israel approached the prophet Samuel at Ramah, expressing their desire for a king, to rule over them like other nations. Samuel, displeased by their request, prayed to the Lord. God responded, instructing Samuel to heed the people’s voice, clarifying that their request was a rejection of Him as their King, rather than a rejection of Samuel.

The prophet Samuel felt personally offended, but God corrected and taught him a great lesson about being impervious to hurts, as it was about Him, not Samuel. Living for The Lord involves transcending personal feelings and aligning yourself with His divine will.

CONFESSION

Dear Father, I choose to live unto you and please you at all times, full of love towards others. I align my desires with your divine will, and my joy and satisfaction come from pleasing you, living for you, and fulfilling my purpose in Christ. Amen.

Your Daily Supply

우리 하나님은 너무나 자애로우시고 친절하십니다. 하나님께서 매일 당신을 위한 충분한 공급을 갖고 계시다는 것을 아십니까? 그분은 단지 “주는 것”에만 관심이 있으신 것이 아니라 풍성한 공급에 관심이 있으십니다. 할렐루야!

고린도후서 9:8은 말합니다. “하나님이 능히 모든 은혜(모든 은총과 땅의 축복)를 너희에게 넘치게 하시나니 이는 너희로 항상 어떤 상황에서든지 무엇이든 필요한 대로 자족하게 [어떤 도움이나 지원이 필요하지 않을 만큼 충분히 소유하고 모든 선한 일과 자선적인 일을 위해 넉넉하게 제공되게] 하려 하심이라”(확대번역본) 하나님께서는 당신이 자신을 위해서 뿐만 아니라 다른 사람들을 도울 만큼 충분히 갖기를 원하십니다.

따라서 당신의 삶을 향한 하나님의 시간표와 계획, 일들 가운데 당신을 위해 예비된 매일의 공급이 있습니다. 시편 68:19은 말합니다. “날마다 우리 짐을 지시는 주 곧 우리의 구원이신 하나님을 찬송할지로다 (셀라)” 이 속량의 해에 하나님께서 당신을 위해 예비하신 모든 축복을 받기로 결단하십시오.

YOUR DAILY SUPPLY

“Give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11).

Our God is so gracious and kind. Did you know that He has more than enough supply for you every day? He isn’t just into “provision”; He’s into supply—abundant supply. Hallelujah!

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 9:8: “And God is able to make all grace (every favor and [a]earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].” He wants you to have, not only for yourself, but enough to help others.

Therefore, for every day in God’s calendar and plan for your life, in His structure of things, there’re supplies set aside for you. Psalm 68:19 says, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.” In this year of redemption, make up your mind to redeem every blessing that God has ordained for you.

Each one of us has a heavenly account. Call forth your supply even now. Hallelujah! Some people have never taken possession of that which belongs to them since they became Christians. They have leftover supplies that has accumulated over time. It’s time to cash out! It’s time to draw from your heavenly account. How?

It’s through your faith-filled affirmations—your confession of the Word! The Lord Jesus said you shall have what you say (Mark 11:23). In Psalm 45:1, the Psalmist said, “…my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.”

Your tongue is the pen; use it now to sign your “coupons and vouchers” and turn them in for actual value. Hallelujah! You say, “Today, there’s an overflow of favour and resources for me, and I take possession. The Lord has supplied all that I require for life and godliness according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus. Amen.”

CONFESSION

Everything I require—the men, materials, resources, etc.—for life and godliness are available to me by free course! My life is a daily expression of the supernatural. I’ll never be broke in my life, because I’m plugged to unending, supernatural supply in Christ Jesus. Amen.

A Message For The Whole World

하나님께서는 사람들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 않으신다는 것을 알고 계십니까? 예수님께서 이미 모든 사람을 위해 죽으셨기 때문입니다. 누군가는 “나는 예수님이 그리스도인들을 위해 죽으신 줄 알았습니다.”라고 말할 수도 있습니다. 아닙니다. 그분은 온 세상을 위해 죽으셨습니다! 고린도후서 5:19은 말합니다. “곧 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자기와 화목하게 하시며 그들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 아니하시고 화목하게 하는 말씀을 우리에게 부탁하셨느니라”

하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자기와 화목하게 하셨다고 말한 것에 주목하십시오. 어떻게 이 일이 가능했습니까? 예수님께서 모든 사람의 값을 치르셨기 때문입니다. 예수님이 죽으셨을 때 우리는 모두 그분 안에서 죽었습니다. 의의 관점에서 보면 우리는 그분의 죽으심 안에, 그분 안에 있습니다. 하나님께서 예수님을 일으키셨을 때, 온 세상은 영생, 곧 의의 생명을 얻을 기회를 받았습니다.

이것이 바로 우리 메시지가 온 세상을 향한 그분의 복음인 이유입니다. 우리의 사명은 예수님께서 그들의 구원을 위해 값을 치르셨다는 사실을 온 세상에 알리는 것입니다. 그러므로 그들은 더 이상 죽거나 심판 받을 필요가 없습니다. 예수님은 온 세상을 위한 심판을 받으셨습니다.

오늘날 거듭나지 않은 이 세상 모든 사람은 영생을 받을 수 있게 되었습니다. 그들이 해야 할 일은 예수님의 대속적인 구원 사역에서 예수님이 죽은 자 가운데서 부활하셨음을 믿고 그들의 삶에 대한 예수님의 주되심을 고백하는 일입니다. 그러면 그들은 살아 계신 그리스도와의 연합, 경험, 중요한 계시 안으로 인도될 것입니다. 할렐루야!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 온 세상을 위해 죽으시도록 예수님을 보내주셔서 감사합니다. 예수님의 대속적인 사역을 믿고 그분의 주되심을 고백하는 모든 사람이 영생을 얻을 수 있게 해주셔서 감사합니다. 내 안에 있는 영생으로 인해 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A MESSAGE FOR THE WHOLE WORLD

“For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.” (2 Corinthians 5:14-15).

Did you know that God isn’t counting the sins of men against them? He isn’t because Jesus already died for everybody. “I thought He died for Christians”; someone might ask. No; it was for the whole world! 2 Corinthians 5:19 NIV says, “that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”

Observe that it says God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself. Why? It’s because Jesus paid for everybody. When Jesus died, every one of us died in Him; in the mind of justice, we were in Him in His death. When God raised Him up, the whole world was given the opportunity to receive eternal life—the life of righteousness.

That’s the reason our message is His Gospel to the whole world. Our mission is to tell the whole world that Jesus paid for their salvation; therefore they don’t have to die or be judged anymore. Jesus was judged for the whole world.

For everyone in the world today who hasn’t been born again, eternal life is available now. All they have to do is believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead in His substitutionary act of salvation, confess the Lordship of Jesus over their life, and they’ll be brought into the vital realization, experience and union with the living Christ. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for sending Jesus to die for the whole world, thereby making it possible for everyone who believes in His substitutionary work and confesses His Lordship, to receive eternal life. Thank you for eternal life in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

We Hail From Deity

“자녀 된 이 여러분, 여러분은 하나님에게서 난 사람들이며, 여러분은 그 거짓 예언자들을 이겼습니다. 여러분 안에 계신 분이 세상에 있는 자보다 크시기 때문입니다.”(요일 4:4, 새번역)

오늘의 본문 구절에 나오는 “하나님에게서 난 사람”에 대한 오해가 있습니다. 어떤 사람들은 이를 “하나님의 편에 서다”라는 뜻으로 생각하지만, 그것은 맞지 않습니다. 사도 요한의 해석은 어떤 면에서도 모호하지 않으며 이 구절의 뜻은 누구의 편이 되는 것이 아닙니다. 이는 단순히 당신이 신성으로부터 왔다는 의미입니다. 즉, 당신의 기원이 하나님께 있다는 것입니다. 당신은 하나님의 자녀입니다.

야고보서 1:18에서 말하는 내용과 매우 가깝습니다. “그가 그 피조물 중에 우리로 한 첫 열매가 되게 하시려고 자기의 뜻을 따라 진리의 말씀으로 우리를 낳으셨느니라” 하나님으로부터 태어나려면 그리스도가 반드시 당신 안에 계셔야 합니다. 그리스도가 당신 안에 계시려면 당신은 반드시 그분을 영접해야 합니다.

요한복음 3:3에 나오는 예수님의 말씀을 기억하십시오. “… 진실로 진실로 네게 이르노니 사람이 거듭나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라를 볼 수 없느니라” 오늘의 본문 구절의 후반부는 이 말씀에 대한 신빙성을 줍니다. “… 여러분 안에 계신 분이 세상에 있는 자보다 크시기 때문입니다.” 따라서 그분은 당신 안에 계셔야 하신 것입니다. 그분이 당신 안에 살기 위해 당신을 낳으셨다는 사실에 대해 생각해 보십시오.

WE HAIL FROM DEITY

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

There’s a misconception of the meaning of the phrase, “Ye are of God” in the verse above. To some, it means “to be on God’s side,” but that’s not correct. The Apostle John’s construction isn’t in any way ambiguous, so it isn’t about being on anyone’s side. It simply means you hail from Deity. In other words, your origin is in God; you’re His offspring.

It’s akin to what the Bible says in James 1:18; it says, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.” To hail from God, therefore, Christ must be in you; you must receive Him to live in you.

Recall the words of the Lord Jesus in John 3:3, “…Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” The concluding phrase of our opening verse gives credence to this; it says, “…greater is He that is in you”; so, He has to be in you. Think about it: He gave birth to you to live in you!

The Bible says, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossian 1:27). You have absolute victory over all forces of darkness and the wicked spirits that orchestrate evil because of the greater One that lives in you.

Read how beautifully the AMPC renders our opening verse: “Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.” Praise God!

You have overcome the adversary and their nefarious and sinister plans to cause untold hardship, troubles, sorrows, distresses and corrupting influences in the world because you hail from Deity! Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

Dear Father, I boldly proclaim that I have overcome all the forces of darkness and wicked spirits that orchestrate evil plans in the world because I hail from God, and the greater One lives in me. I have overcome the sorrows, distresses and corrupting influences in the world. I’m victorious always in Christ Jesus, Amen.
