탁월하도록 부름 받았습니다

Called To Excellence

“그의 신기한 능력으로 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨으니 이는 자기의 영광과 덕으로써 우리를 부르신 이를 앎으로 말미암음이라”(벧후 1:3)

사도 베드로가 오늘의 본문 구절의 끝부분에서 말한 내용을 주목하십시오. 베드로는 하나님께서 우리를 영광과 덕으로 부르셨다고 말했습니다. 우리는 영광과 덕의 삶, 탁월한 삶으로 부름 받았습니다. 가난과 질병은 당신의 부르심에 속해 있지 않습니다. 할렐루야!

당신의 탁월한 삶은 미래의 계획이나 천국에 가서 성취되는 약속이 아님을 알아야 합니다. 그렇지 않습니다! 탁월한 인생은 지금 여기에서의 실재입니다! 확대번역본은 이를 더 온전히 이해하게 도와줍니다. “우리를 부르사 영광과 덕(탁월함)에 이르게 하신 분을 [완전히, 개인적으로] 아는 것을 통해 그분의 신성한 권능이 생명과 하나님의 성품에 속한 [요구되고 들어맞는] 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨도다.”(벧후 1:3)

우리 삶에는 평범함이나 지루함이 없습니다. 우리는 모든 면에서 탁월합니다. 탁월함을 위해 부르심 받았기 때문입니다. 베드로전서 2:9(확대번역본)은 말합니다. “그러나 너희는 선택받은 민족이요 왕 같은 제사장이며, 구별되어 헌신된 나라요, [하나님께서] 친히 사신 특별한 백성이니, 이는 너희를 어두움에서 불러내어 그의 놀라운 빛으로 들어가게 하신 분의 경이로운 행위를 내세우고 그분의 덕과 완벽함을 내보이게 하려 하심이라.”

당신은 하나님이 어둠에서 불러내어 그분의 기이한 빛에 들어가게 하신 이의 경이로운 행위와 그분의 덕과 완벽함을 나타내기 위해 직접 예수님의 보혈로 사신 특별한 사람입니다. 하나님을 송축합니다. 절대 당신을 이것보다 낮게 여기지 마십시오. 절대 당신의 가치를 과소평가하지 마십시오.

이 세상에 있는 매 순간 어디를 가든 당신이 탁월함을 위해 태어났다는 것을 이해하고 인식하십시오. 탁월해지는 것은 당신의 운명입니다. 당신은 탁월한 삶을 가지고 있습니다. 탁월한 일들을 행하고 나타내십시오.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 내 영에 있는 아버지의 생명과 본성, 그리고 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 탁월한 생명에 감사드립니다. 당신은 내 삶을 아름답게 만드시고 나를 왕국의 효과적인 증인과 대사로 만드셨습니다. 나는 당신을 경배하며, 영광스러운 복음의 빛을 가지고 이 땅의 어두운 곳을 밝게 비춥니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

CALLED TO EXCELLENCE 

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”(2 Peter 1:3).

Notice what the Apostle Peter said in the latter part of the scripture above; he said God has called us to glory and virtue. We have a calling to a life of glory and virtue, that is, a life of excellence. Poverty and sickness have no place in this calling. Hallelujah! 

It’s important to know that your life of excellence isn’t a future plan or a promise to be fulfilled when we get to heaven; no! It’s a present reality, for here and now! The Amplified Classic helps us to get a fuller grasp. It says, “For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).” 

There’s no room for mediocrity or mundanity in our lives. We are excellent in every way because we have been called to it. There’s more. In 1 Peter 2:9 AMPC, the Bible says, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 

You’re God’s own purchased, special individual, bought by the blood of Jesus to set forth the wonderful deeds, and showcase the virtues and perfections of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. Blessed be God. Never think less of yourself. Never underestimate your worth. 

Every day you’re in this world, wherever you go, understand and be conscious that you’re born for excellence. It’s your destiny to be excellent. You have an excellent path of life. Therefore, do and manifest excellent things. 

PRAYER 

Dear Father, I thank you for your life and nature in my spirit, and the life of excellence that I have in Christ Jesus. You’ve made my life beautiful, and you’ve enabled me to be an effective witness and representative of your Kingdom, showing forth your praises, and illuminating the dark places of the earth with the light of the glorious Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
