당신에 맞설 주술은 없습니다
No Enchantment Against You
“야곱을 해할 점술이 없고 이스라엘을 해할 복술이 없도다…”(민 23:23)
구약성경을 보면, 이스라엘을 싫어했던 모압 왕 발락은 이스라엘을 저주하고자 선지자 발람을 고용했습니다. 발락을 더 분노케 한 것은 발람이 이스라엘을 저주할 때마다 그의 입에서는 축복의 말이 나왔다는 것입니다. 그때 그는 발락에게 이렇게 말했습니다. “내가 축복할 것을 받았으니 그가 주신 복을 내가 돌이키지 않으리라”(민 23:18-20)
세 번에 걸친 저주가 실패하자 발람은 이스라엘에 대해 저주하기를 포기했습니다. 성경은 이스라엘을 축복하는 것이 주님을 기쁘게 하는 것임을 그가 알게 되자 이스라엘에 대해 계속 주술을 거는 것을 멈췄다고 말씀합니다(민 24:1). 즉, 그는 주님이 축복하신 사람들에 대해 저주를 하거나 좋지 않은 책략을 꾸며내는 것이 헛된 일임을 깨달았던 것입니다. 우리가 읽은 오늘의 본문구절은 이런 상황에 대해 발람이 내린 결론입니다.
굿 뉴스 바이블(Good News Bible)은 이 구절을 이렇게 해석합니다. “이스라엘에 맞서 사용될 수 있는 마술이나 술법은 없다…” 오늘날에도 마술이나 주술과 같은 일들은 여전히 일어납니다. 사람들은 원수로 여기는 동료나 사람들을 저주하기 위해 주술사와 마법사와 점쟁이를 찾아갑니다.
때로는 아픈 적 없던 사람들이 주술에 걸려서 갑자기 질병 말기라고 선고 받거나 정신이 이상해지기도 합니다. 종종 주술에 걸린 사람들은 그런 안 좋은 상황이 그들을 향해 역사하고 있는 저주 때문이라는 것을 알아채지 못합니다. 그들이 처한 문제는 의학이나 인간의 지식으로는 설명이 불가능합니다.
그러나 하나님께 감사드립니다! 당신이 일단 거듭났다면, 어느 누구도 당신을 저주할 수 없습니다. 왜냐하면 당신은 하나님의 축복을 받았기 때문입니다. 새로운 피조물은 하나님의 축복을 받은 자입니다. 우리는 그분의 선택 받은 자들입니다. “그러나 너희는 택하신 족속이요 왕 같은 제사장들이요 거룩한 나라요 그의 소유가 된 백성이니…”(벧전 2:9)
주술사나 마법사, 점쟁이나 무당 등을 결코 두려워하지 마십시오. 당신을 대적하는 그들의 행위는 어떤 것이든 소용없습니다. 당신은 주술이나 속임수에 걸릴 수 없습니다. 당신은 저주받을 수 없습니다. 당신은 오직 축복 가운데 걸으며, 주님이 하신 복된 말씀만이 당신의 삶에 이루어질 수 있습니다. 할렐루야!

복 되신 아버지, 아버지께서 그리스도 안에서 하늘에 속한 모든 영적인 복으로 저를 축복하셨으므로 저는 이런 진리와 더불어 모든 정사와 권세, 이 세상의 어둠의 통치자들을 다스리는 저의 권세를 의식합니다! 저는 오직 축복 가운데 걷습니다. 저는 그리스도 안에서 안전하며, 원수의 모든 음모와 계략에 대해 흔들리지 않고 굳게 섭니다.

NO ENCHANTMENT AGAINST YOU
Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination
against Israel… (Numbers 23:23).
In the Old Testament, Balak the king of Moab was angry with Israel and hired the prophet called Balaam, to curse Israel. More to Balak’s chagrin, each
time Balaam was to curse Israel, blessings came forth from his mouth. Then he said to Balak, “Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he (God) hath
blessed; and I cannot reverse it” (Numbers 23:20). Balaam eventually gave up trying to curse Israel after three failed attempts. The Bible says he saw that
it pleased the Lord to bless Israel; and so, he refused to continue seeking enchantments against Israel (Numbers 24:1). In other words, he realized it was
futile to curse or concoct negative schemes against those whom the Lord had blessed. His conclusion on the matter was what we read in the opening verse. See
how the Good News Bible puts it: “There is no magic charm, no witchcraft, That can be used against the nation of Israel….”Today, such things still happen: people go to voodoo priests, sorcerers, and diviners to put a curse on a colleague or someone they’ve perceived as an enemy. Sometimes, people who never had any history or trace of sickness could suddenly come up with a terminal disease or even become lunatic, as a result of a curse placed on them. Oftentimes, those who
have been cursed aren’t even aware that it’s a curse that’s working against them; their problems defy every medical or human effort. But thanks be unto God! Once you’re born again, no one can curse you, because you’re the blessed of the Lord. The new creation is the blessed of God. We’re His chosen ones: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people…” (1 Peter 2:9). Never be afraid of any sorcerer, magician, or voodoo priest; their actions against you are futile, no matter how they try. You can’t be bewitched. You can’t be charmed. You can’t be cursed. You walk in blessings only, and only the blessed Word of the Lord can come to pass in your life. Hallelujah!

Blessed Father, you’ve blessed me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ; I’m conscious of this truth and the authority I have over all principality,
power, and the rulers of the darkness of this world! I walk in blessings only; I’m secure in Christ, fortified against all machinations and stratagems of the adversary, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
