환난 중의 평안
Peace In The Midst Of Trouble
“그 때에 느부갓네살 왕이 놀라 급히 일어나서 모사들에게 물어 이르되 우리가 결박하여 불 가운데에 던진 자는 세 사람이 아니었느냐 하니… 내가 보니 결박되지 아니한 네 사람이 불 가운데로 다니는데 상하지도 아니하였고 그 넷째의 모양은 신들의 아들과 같도다 하고”(단 3:24-25)
성경은 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고가 맹렬히 타는 풀무불 속에 던져졌음을 보여줍니다. 풀무불 안에 있는 동안 그들은 침착했습니다. 그들은 심지어 불에서 구해달라고 하나님께 기도하지도 않았습니다. 그러나 하나님께서 어떻게 하셨는지 생각해 보십시오. 그들을 불에서 구해내는 대신에 “불 속의 네 번째 사람”으로 그들과 함께하셨습니다. 저는 이 사실을 너무나 좋아합니다!
성경은 그들의 피부에서 타는 냄새조차 나지 않았다고 말합니다. 하나님은 당신을 불에서 끌어낼 필요가 없으십니다. 이미 이사야 43:2에서 이렇게 말씀하셨기 때문입니다. “… 네가 불 가운데로 지날 때에 타지도 아니할 것이요 불꽃이 너를 사르지도 못하리니”
당신이 인생에서 어떤 압박과 장애물에 마주하든지 상관 없습니다. 중요한 점은 주님이 당신과 함께, 그리고 당신 안에 계시다는 점입니다. 그분은 폭풍 가운데 당신의 평안이십니다. 당신을 불안하게 하거나 잠 못 이루게 만드는 상황이 있습니까? 긴장을 푸십시오. 예수님이 당신의 평안이십니다.
요한복음 16:33에서 예수님은 “이것을 너희에게 이르는 것은 너희로 내 안에서 평안을 누리게 하려 함이라 세상에서는 너희가 환난을 당하나 담대하라 내가 세상을 이기었노라”고 말씀하셨습니다. 당신이 대적이나 자신에게 닥치는 역경 때문에 결코 당황해서는 안 되는 이유를 아십니까? 주님께서는 당신에게 이미 사탄과 그가 할 수 있는 모든 일에 대한 승리와 통치권을 주셨기 때문입니다.
요한일서 4:4은 말합니다. “자녀들아 너희는 하나님께 속하였고 또 그들을 이기었나니 이는 너희 안에 계신 이가 세상에 있는 자보다 크심이라” 더 크신 분이 당신 안에 계신다는 사실을 항상 인식하십시오. 그러므로 그 무엇도 당신을 해치거나 제한할 수 없습니다. 당신의 마음을 하나님의 말씀으로 채워서 삶 가운데 있는 모든 두려움을 없애십시오. 지금 이렇게 선포하십시오. “아버지, 감사합니다. 아버지께서 내 안에 계시고 나와 함께 계십니다. 그러므로 나는 천하무적입니다. 나는 성공입니다. 나는 발전하고 있고 나에게 힘 주시는 그리스도를 통해 무엇이든 할 수 있습니다. 아멘.”
고백
삶의 역경, 압박, 어려움은 나에게 중요한 요소가 아닙니다. 나는 폭풍 속에서도 승리 가운데 살기 때문입니다. 하나님의 말씀은 나를 절대적인 확신과 독립의 자리로 인도합니다. 이 세상 그 무엇도 나에게 어떤 일이 일어날지 결정할 수 없습니다. 나는 염려, 동요, 긴장, 번민, 혼란 없이 삽니다. 그리스도가 나의 전부이시기 때문입니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

PEACE IN THE MIDST OF TROUBLE
“Then Nebuchadnezzar…said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?… Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God” (Daniel 3:24-25).
The Bible tells us how Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into a fiery furnace. While in the furnace, they were unruffled. And they didn’t even pray to God to bring them out of the fire. But guess what God did; instead of bringing them out of the fire, He joined them as the “fourth man in the fire.” I love that!
The Bible says there wasn’t even the smell of smoke on their skin let alone being burnt. God doesn’t have to bring you out of the fire. He already said in Isaiah 43:2, “… when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”
It makes no difference what pressures and obstacles you face in life; what’s important is that the Lord is with you, and in you. He’s your peace in the midst of the storm. Is there a situation that has made you fret or given you sleepless nights? Relax. Jesus is your peace.
He said in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Can you see why you should never be flustered by the adversary or any adversity that comes your way? The Lord already gave you victory and dominion over Satan and everything he’s capable of.
1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Be ever mindful that the greater One lives in you; therefore nothing can hurt or limit you. Expunge fear from your life by filling your heart with God’s Word. Even now, declare, “Father, I thank you, for you live in me and are with me. Therefore, I’m invincible; I’m a success. I’m making progress and can do all things through Christ who is my strength. Amen.
CONFESSION
The adversities, pressures and difficulties of life aren’t a factor for me because I live in victory even in the midst of the storms. God’s Word has brought me to a place of absolute confidence and independence, where nothing in this world can determine what happens with me. I live free of worry, agitations, tensions, distress, and confusion because Christ is my all. Glory to God!
