당신의 믿음에 달렸습니다

It’s About Your Faith

“…진실로 너희에게 이르노니 만일 너희에게 믿음이 겨자씨 한 알 만큼만 있어도 이 산을 명하여 여기서 저기로 옮겨지라 하면 옮겨질 것이요 또 너희가 못할 것이 없으리라”(마 17:20)

주님은 사람들이 경험하는 악이나 재난을 일으키는 분이 아닙니다. 이는 하나님의 본성과 일치하지 않습니다. 주님은 사랑의 화신이십니다. 하나님 안에는 어두움이 없습니다. 당신이 무슨 일을 겪었든지 그리스도의 복음 안에 있는 그리스도의 공급과 일치하지 않는 것은 하나님으로부터 온 것이 아닙니다. 당신은 자신의 삶에 대한 책임이 있습니다. 즉, 당신에게 일어나는 일들에 대한 책임이 있는 것입니다. 이는 당신의 믿음과 그것을 어떻게 사용하는 지에 달려있습니다.

주 예수님은 오늘의 본문 구절에서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “… 또 너희가 못할 것이 없으리라.” 이것은 주권자의 선언입니다. 그렇다면 질문은, 당신은 당신의 믿음으로 무엇을 하고 있습니까? 어떻게 믿음을 행하고 있습니까? 성경은 말합니다. “이제 의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라…”(히 10:38).

매일의 삶의 위기에 대처하기 위해 믿음을 사용하는 것은 당신의 책임입니다. 하지만 문제는 어떤 사람들은 그들의 믿음을 헛되게 만들거나 효과가 없게 만듭니다. “만일 율법에 속한 자들이 상속자이면 믿음은 헛것이 되고 약속은 파기되었느니라”(롬 4:14). 믿음이 무효화될 수도 있습니까? 그럴 수 있습니다!

마가복음 7:13에서 예수님은 유대인들이 그들의 전통을 우선시하며 하나님의 말씀을 폐하는 것을 꾸짖으셨습니다. 여기서 “전통”이란 당신의 삶의 방식, 개인적인 문화, 당신이 믿는 것들을 가리킵니다. 이것들이 하나님의 말씀과 일치하지 않는다면 자신의 삶에서 말씀이 효과가 없게 만들며 믿음을 무효화합니다.

당신의 신뢰는 언제나 그리스도의 완성된 사역에 있어야 합니다. 그분을 믿는 믿음으로 사십시오(갈 2:20). 할렐루야! 그분의 믿음으로 산다는 것은 어떤 의미입니까? 이는 말씀으로 산다는 뜻이며, 말씀을 행하는 자가 된다는 의미입니다. 야고보서 1:22은 말합니다. “너희는 말씀을 행하는 자가 되고 듣기만 하여 자신을 속이는 자가 되지 말라.”

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 당신의 말씀의 믿음을 가지고, 나는 상황과 환경을 이깁니다. 내가 말씀을 따라 살 때, 의, 성공, 신성한 건강, 승리, 번영의 영향력이 내 삶에서 활성화 됩니다. 나는 하나님의 온전하신 뜻을 성취하도록 하나님의 지혜를 따라 인도받고 영감 받습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

IT’S ABOUT YOUR FAITH

“…If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you”(Mark 17:20).

The Lord isn’t responsible for evil or the mishaps that people experience; it’s not consistent with His nature. He is love personified; there’s no darkness in Him. Whatever you may have suffered that’s inconsistent with the provisions of Christ in His Gospel, didn’t come from God. You’re responsible for your life—the things that happen with you. It’s about your faith and how you use it.

The Lord Jesus said in our opening scripture, “…nothing shall be impossible unto you.” This is a sovereign declaration; so, the question is, what are you doing with your faith? How are you putting your faith to work? The Bible says, “Now the just shall live by faith…” (Hebrews 18:38).

Using your faith to deal with the crises of life every day is your responsibility. But the problem is some have made their faith void or of non-effect: “For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:” (Romans 4:14). Can faith be made void? Emphatically yes!

In Mark 7:13, Jesus rebuked the Jews for making God’s Word of non-effect by their tradition. “Tradition” here refers to your way of life, your personal culture, and the things you believe. If these things are inconsistent with the Word of God, you make the Word of non-effect in your life, and your faith is made void.

Your trust must always be in the finished works of Christ; live by His faith (Galatians 2:20). Hallelujah! How do you live by His faith? It’s by living the Word, being a doer of the Word. James 1:22  says, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”

PRAYER

Dear Father, by my faith in your Word I prevail over situations and circumstances. The forces of righteousness, success, divine health, victory, and prosperity are activated in my life as I live by your Word, guided and inspired by your wisdom to fulfil your perfect will for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

His Good Works

“하나님이 나사렛 예수에게 성령과 능력을 기름 붓듯 하셨으매 그가 두루 다니시며 선한 일을 행하시고 마귀에게 눌린 모든 사람을 고치셨으니 이는 하나님이 함께 하셨음이라”(행 10:38)

요한복음 9장에서 제자들은 예수님과 함께 걷다가, 태어날 때부터 소경으로 난 사람을 보았습니다. 그리고 제자들이 물었습니다. “주여 이 사람이 소경으로 난 것이 뉘 죄로 인함이니이까 자기니이까 그의 부모니이까?” 그들이 알고 있었던 것에 의하면 하나님은 그분의 사법 제도에서 이 눈먼 자 혹은 그의 부모의 죄를 벌하고 계신 것이었습니다. 얼마나 이상한 사고방식입니까!

그러나 주님의 대답을 읽으십시오. “예수께서 대답하시되 이 사람이나 그 부모의 죄로 인한 것이 아니라 그에게서 하나님이 하시는 일을 나타내고자 하심이라 때가 아직 낮이매 나를 보내신 이의 일을 우리가 하여야 하리라 밤이 오리니 그 때는 아무도 일할 수 없느니라”(요 9:3-4). 많은 사람들은 이 구절을 읽고 그 남자의 보이지 않는 눈이 “하나님의 일” 중 하나라는 생각을 가지고 떠납니다. 이는 잘못되었습니다!

번역자들은 자신들의 권한으로 이 3절의 끝에 있어서는 안 될 마침표를 임의로 한 개 찍었습니다. 더 정확한 번역은 다음과 같습니다. “… 그에게서 하나님이 하시는 일을 나타내고자 함이며 나는 때가 아직 낮일 때 나를 보내신 이의 일을 하여야 하리라.”

예수님은 “우리는 이 눈먼 사람에게서 사탄의 일을 보았지만, 그에게 하나님의 일을 나타내려면 내가 무엇인가를 해야 한다!”고 말씀하고 계셨던 것입니다. 그 다음에 예수님은 그 사람을 치유하셨습니다. 할렐루야! 눈 멀게 하는 일은 하나님으로부터 온 것이 아닙니다. 사도행전 10:38은 말합니다. “하나님이 나사렛 예수에게 성령과 능력을 기름 붓듯 하셨으매 그가 두루 다니시며 선한 일을 행하시고 마귀에게 눌린 모든 사람을 고치셨으니 이는 하나님이 함께 하셨음이라.”

억압은 마귀에게서 오지만, 아버지께서 예수님을 보내셔서 성령으로 기름 부으신 후 절름발이를 걷게 하고, 소경을 보게 하며, 마음이 상한 자를 고치시고, 마귀에게 눌린 자를 구출하시고, 죽은 자를 살릴 수 있는 능력을 행하셨습니다. 이것이 하나님의 일입니다! 할렐루야!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 당신의 누구와도 비교할 수 없는 선하심, 친절, 사랑, 의가 오늘 이 땅에 드러남에 감사드립니다. 나는 하나님의 자녀들 안에서, 그들을 통해 당신의 온전한 뜻이 이 땅과 사람들의 삶에서 이루어질 때, 사람들의 삶을 붙잡고 있는 사탄의 손아귀가 파괴될 것을 선언합니다. 이 땅은 아버지의 선하심으로 가득 차 있습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HIS GOOD WORKS

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”(Acts 10:38).

In John 9, the disciples, walking alongside Jesus saw a man who had been born blind. They asked, “Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?” As far as they were concerned, God in His justice system was punishing the blind man or his parents for their sin. What a mindset!

Read the Master’s response: “Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work” (John 9:3-4). Many read this and run off with the idea that the man’s blindness is one of the “works of God.” That’s erroneous!

The translators, on their own prerogative, put a punctuation—a full stop at the end of the 3rd verse— that should have never been there. The more accurate rendering reads, “…that the works of God should be made manifest in him, I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day.”

Jesus was saying, “In this blind man, we see the work of Satan, but for the work of God to be manifest in him, I have to do something about it!” He then went ahead and healed the man. Hallelujah! The work of blindness didn’t come from God. Acts 10:38 tells us, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

The oppression came from the devil, but the Father sent Jesus, anointed with the Holy Ghost and with power to heal and restore maimed limbs, give sight to the blind, mend the brokenhearted, deliver those who were oppressed of the devil, and even raise the dead. These are the works of God! Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your unmatched goodness, kindness, love and righteousness displayed in the world today. I declare that Satan’s hold over men’s lives is destroyed, as you work in and through your children to perfect your will in the earth and in the lives of men, for indeed, the earth is filled with your goodness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

성령으로 충만하십시오

Get Filled With The Spirit

“빌기를 다하매 모인 곳이 진동하더니 무리가 다 성령이 충만하여 담대히 하나님의 말씀을 전하니라 믿는 무리가 한마음과 한 뜻이 되어 모든 물건을 서로 통용하고 자기 재물을 조금이라도 자기 것이라 하는 이가 하나도 없더라 사도들이 큰 권능으로 주 예수의 부활을 증언하니 무리가 큰 은혜를 받아”(행 4:31-33)

성경에는 초대교회 성도들이 종교 지도자들의 탄압을 받음에 따라 함께 모여 진행했던 특별한 기도 모임이 아주 생생하게 기록되어 있습니다. 성경은 그들이 기도를 시작함에 그들이 모여 있던 온 집안이 흔들렸고, 그들 모두가 성령 충만함을 받고 담대함으로 하나님의 말씀을 전했다고 기록합니다.

성령 충만함의 결과를 주목하십시오. 그들은 나가서 담대히 하나님의 말씀을 전했습니다. 이것은 그들이 그만두지 않으면 끔찍한 결과가 따를지도 모른다고 위협을 받던 바로 그 일이었습니다. 그들은 사도행전 2:1에서 이미 성령을 받았습니다. 그러나 4장에서 그들은 다시 한번 이전에 받았던 동일한 성령으로 충만함을 받았습니다.

성경은 우리에게 명합니다. “술 취하지 말라 이는 방탕한 것이니 오직 성령으로 충만함을 받으라 시와 찬송과 신령한 노래들로 서로 화답하며 너희의 마음으로 주께 노래하며 찬송하며 범사에 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 항상 아버지 하나님께 감사하며”(엡 5:18-20). 성령으로 충만하면 당신은 겁먹거나 두려워하지 않습니다. 담대함과 능력으로 복음을 전하게 됩니다.

아마도 당신은 함께 일하는 사람들에게 복음을 전하고 싶었을 것입니다. 하지만 당신은 부끄럽거나 두려웠던 것 같습니다. 성령 충만해지십시오! 완전히 충만해질 때까지 방언으로 기도하십시오. 시와 찬송과 신령한 노래로 마음을 다하여 주님께 노래하고 멜로디를 만드십시오.

머지않아 당신은 주변 사람들에게 복음을 증거하기 위해 어떠한 자극이나 지시, 또는 격려를 받을 필요가 없어질 것입니다. 예수님께서 말씀하셨습니다. “나를 믿는 자는 성경에 이름과 같이 그 배에서 생수의 강이 흘러나오리라 하시니”(요 7:38). 강제로 꺼낼 필요가 없습니다. 그저 넘쳐흐를 것입니다. 당신의 입술로부터 능력과 함께 말씀이 나올 것입니다. 할렐루야!

고백

나는 효과적인 증인이자 복음의 수호자입니다. 이 복음은 하나님의 구원하시는 능력이며, 이 복음은 그분의 의, 영생, 그리고 인류를 향한 신성한 운명을 드러냅니다. 나는 이 어두운 세상의 그분의 밝은 빛입니다. 나는 사람들을 죄와 속박으로부터 하나님 아들들의 영광스러운 자유와 의로 그들을 옮기도록 부름 받았습니다. 나는 내 부르심을 이룹니다. 아멘.

GET FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT

“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness…And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all”(Acts 4:31-33).

The Scriptures give a vivid account of an extraordinary prayer meeting that the members of the early church had following the threats from the religious council. It records that as they prayed, the entire building where they were gathered shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke the Word of God with boldness.

Notice the resultant effect of being filled with the Holy Spirit: they went forth and preached the Word of God with boldness—the very thing they had been threatened to desist from or face dire consequences. They had already received the Holy Spirit in Acts 2:1-4. But in Chapter 4, they were filled again with that same Holy Spirit whom they had earlier received.

The Bible charges us, “Be not drunk with wine wherein is excess but be filled with the spirit (the International Standard Version says, “Keep on being filled with the Spirit”), speaking to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:18-20). When you’re filled with the Spirit, you’re not timid or intimidated; you preach the Gospel with boldness and power.

Perhaps you’ve been desiring to preach the Gospel to the people you work with; but it seems you’ve been shy or afraid. Get filled with the Holy Spirit! Pray in tongues until you’re supercharged—speaking to yourself in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Soon enough, you won’t need to be prompted, instructed or encouraged by anyone to witness to those around you. Jesus said, “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers (gushers) of living water” (John 7:38). You won’t have to force it out; there’ll be an overflow, and the Word will issue forth from your lips with power. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I’m an effective witness and custodian of the Gospel—God’s saving power that unveils His righteousness, eternal life, and divine destiny for all mankind. I’m His light in a dark world, called to bring men out of sin and bondage into righteousness and the glorious liberty of the sons of God. I’m fulfilling my calling. Amen.

Love Not The World

“이 세상이나 세상에 있는 것들을 사랑하지 말라 누구든지 세상을 사랑하면 아버지의 사랑이 그 안에 있지 아니하니”(요일 2:15)

이것은 제가 여덟 살 때, 어리고 수용적이었던 제 마음에 깊은 인상을 준 최초의 성경 구절 중 하나였습니다. 이것은 변하지 않는 하나님의 선언입니다. 성경은 당신이 세상을 사랑하면 아버지의 사랑이 당신 안에 있지 않다고 말합니다. 당신이 하나님을 사랑한다고 몇 천 번 고백할지라도, 당신이 세상이나 세상에 속한 것들과 사랑에 빠져 있다면, 당신 안에는 하나님의 사랑이 없습니다.

어떤 이들은 이렇게 말합니다. “하나님은 왜 우리에게 세상을 사랑하지 말라고 하시는 것입니까? 성경에서 ‘하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니’이라고 말하지 않았습니까? 왜 우리는 아버지와 같이 세상을 사랑하면 안 됩니까?’”

하나님은 인간 세상을 사랑하셨습니다. 하나님은 사람들을 사랑했고, 그들의 죄에서 그들을 구원하시기 위해 그의 아들 예수를 보냈습니다. 하나님은 세상의 제도와 그 안에 있는 것들을 사랑하신 것이 아닙니다. 요한일서 2:16은 말합니다. “이는 세상에 있는 모든 것이 육신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 이생의 자랑이니 다 아버지께로부터 온 것이 아니요 세상으로부터 온 것이라.” 성경은 세상과 정욕에 대하여 우리에게 경고하고 있습니다.

세상의 영에 의해 영향을 받거나 끌려가기를 거절하십시오. 성경은 말합니다. “… 세상과 벗된 것이 하나님과 원수 됨을 알지 못하느냐 그런즉 누구든지 세상과 벗이 되고자 하는 자는 스스로 하나님과 원수 되는 것이니라”(약 4:4).

하나님의 성도들로서 우리는 어떤 사람들처럼 좋아하는 스포츠 팀에 대해 몇 시간 동안 언쟁을 벌이다가 거의 몸싸움을 하는 육신적인 대화에 참여해서는 안 됩니다. 또 어떤 사람들은 몇 시간이고 영화와 TV 프로그램을 보다가, 기도를 하거나 말씀을 봐야 할 시간이 되면 잠들어버리곤 합니다.

그러한 것들이 당신의 삶을 이끌게 하지 마십시오. 당신의 목적에서 멀어지게 하는 것들에게 휩쓸리거나 빨려 들어가지 마십시오. 당신은 신성한 목적을 위해 이 땅에 존재합니다. 따라서, 다르게 생각하고, 하나님께서 그리스도 안에서 당신을 부르신 더 높은 차원의 목적을 인식하십시오.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 세상은 나에 대하여 십자가에 못 박혔고, 나도 세상에 대하여 십자가에 못 박혔습니다! 나는 그리스도를 위하여 살며, 세상의 영에 흔들리기를 거절합니다. 나는 정욕과 육신적인 이 세상의 풍조에 얽매이기를 거절합니다. 나는 위로부터 태어났으며, 내 마음은 하늘의 것을 추구합니다. 나는 그리스도의 대사이며, 사람들의 심령에 하나님의 왕국과 의를 세우도록 부르심을 받았습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Love Not The World

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him”(1 John 2:15).

This was one of the first Bible verses that impressed upon my young, receptive mind as an eight-year-old. It’s God’s declaration, and it’s final. It says if you love the world, the love of the Father isn’t in you. You may confess a thousand times that you love God, but if you’re in love with the world or the things of the world, the love of the Father isn’t in you.

Some have asked, “Why would God tell us not to love the world when the Bible says, ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son? Why can’t we also love the world like the Father did?’”

God loved the world of men; He loved the people and sent Jesus His son to save them from their sins; not the systems and the things therein. 1 John 2:16 says, “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” The Scripture is admonishing us against worldliness and carnality.

Refuse to be influenced or carried away by the spirit of the world. The Bible says, “…know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God” (James 4:4).

As saints of God, we shouldn’t engage in unspiritual discussions where sometimes they spend hours arguing about their favourite sport teams and almost get into fisticuffs. They spend hours watching movies and TV shows, but when it’s time to pray or study the Word, they fall asleep.

Don’t get carried away and sucked in by such things to the point that they drive your life and distract you from your purpose. You’re in this world for a divine purpose. So, think differently and be conscious of that higher purpose for which God in Christ has called you.

PRAYER

Dear Father, the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world! I live for Christ, and I refuse to be swayed by the spirit of the world, nor enticed by the sensual, carnal, fleshly and worldly trends. I’m from above, and my mind is set on things above. I’m an ambassador for Christ, called to establish heaven and righteousness in the hearts of men, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

순수한 마음으로 주님을 사랑하십시오

Love The Lord With A Pure Heart

“이 세상이나 세상에 있는 것들을 사랑하지 말라 누구든지 세상을 사랑하면 아버지의 사랑이 그 안에 있지 아니하니”(요일 2:15)

디모데전서 1:5(한글킹제임스)은 말합니다. “이제 명령의 목적은 순수한 마음과 선한 양심과 거짓 없는 믿음에서 나오는 사랑이거늘.” 순수한 마음은 주님을 진정으로 사랑하고 그분의 말씀을 절대적으로 (어떠한 질문이나 의심 없이) 믿는 마음입니다.

당신이 자주 해야 할 일은 자신의 마음이 사랑 가운데 하나님께 순수한지 상태를 스스로 점검하는 것입니다. 하나님을 향한 당신의 사랑은 꾸밈이나 거짓이 없어야 합니다. 오늘의 본문 구절을 읽으면 데마라는 인물이 떠오릅니다.

데마는 “누가복음”과 “사도행전”의 저자인 누가와 긴밀히 일하는 자였습니다. 또한 위대한 사도 바울과도 매우 가깝게 지내며 일하는 자였습니다. 바울은 실제로 데마를 복음의 동료 일꾼 중 하나로 묘사했습니다. “…그리스도 예수의 종인 너희에게서 온 에바브라가 너희에게 문안하느니라 그가 항상 너희를 위하여 애써 기도하여…사랑을 받는 의사 누가와 또 데마가 너희에게 문안하느니라.”(골 4:10-14)

바울은 빌레몬서 1:24에서도 그를 언급했습니다. “또한 나의 동역자 마가, 아리스다고, 데마, 누가가 문안하느니라.” 데마는 바울과 함께 하는 동역자였습니다. 그는 아주 좋은 동료였고, 맡고 있는 사역이 있었습니다.

LOVE THE LORD WITH A PURE HEART

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him”(1 John 2:15).

1 Timothy 1:5 says, “Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned.” A pure heart is a heart that loves the Lord truly and believes His Word absolutely (without any questions or doubts).

Something you should do often is to check the condition of your heart that it’s pure towards God in love. Your love for Him must be unfeigned. In reviewing what we read in our opening verse, the example of Demas, a certain character in the Bible, readily comes to mind.

Demas worked closely with Luke, the writer of the “Gospel of Luke” and “Acts of the Apostles.” He also worked very closely with the great Apostle Paul. In fact, Paul listed him among his fellow-labourers in the Gospel: “… Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers…Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you…” (Colossians 4:10-14).

Paul also mentioned him in Philemon 1:24: “Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you, as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow laborers.” So, Demas was a co-labourer with Paul. He was in very good company, and had a ministry to fulfil.

But in 2 Timothy 4:9-10, Paul tells Timothy: “Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me, for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world and is departed unto Thessalonica.” This explains why some people start well and end up badly: their love for the Lord is not genuine. Paul said Demas forsook him, because he loved the world. You can’t love the Father and love the world at the same time. To love this world is to not have the love of the Father in you.

All the while Demas was labouring with Paul, Luke and the other ministers of the Gospel, he was lusting after the world and the things of this world. And for that reason, he ultimately couldn’t fulfil his divine destiny and purpose.

Love the Lord with a pure heart. Serve Him truly. Let Him be all that matters to you, for the Bible says, “Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.” (Ephesians 6:24).

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, you reign in my life; you’re all that matters to me. Thank you for the grace to live for you and serve you with a perfect heart; you’re everything to me. You’re holy, pure, righteous, loving and true! You’re the only true God; and I love you forever. Amen!

창세기는 아브라함과 그의 조카 롯의 감동적인 이야기를 들려줍니다. 하나님께서 아브라함에게 그의 집을 떠나 새로운 나라로 가라고 부르셨을 때, 롯이 그와 함께 동행했습니다(창 12:4).

하나님께서는 여정 가운데 아브라함에게 복을 주신 것처럼, 롯에게도 복을 주셨습니다. 이 두 사람은 너무 복을 받아서 어느 순간부터 그들이 머물던 땅이 더 이상 그들의 가축 떼를 다 수용할 수 없게 되었습니다.

아브라함의 목자와 롯의 목자 사이에 자주 싸움이 일어났고, 이에 아브라함이 이렇게 말했습니다. “…우리는 한 친족이라 나나 너나 내 목자나 네 목자나 서로 다투게 하지 말자 네 앞에 온 땅이 있지 아니하냐 나를 떠나가라 네가 좌하면 나는 우하고 네가 우하면 나는 좌하리라”(창 13:8-9).

여기서부터 롯의 문제가 시작되었습니다. 롯은 요단의 푸른 평야를 한번 바라보고, 반대편의 메마른 땅도 한번 바라보았습니다. 그는 풍요로운 쪽을 선택하고, 자신의 장막을 소돔 가까이에 펼쳤습니다. 그는 소돔이 악의 땅이라는 것, 곧 하나님의 심판이 임할 것임을 알지 못했습니다.

하나님께서 소돔 백성들의 죄악에 대한 결과로 소돔에 불을 내리셨을 때, 롯은 아브라함의 중보로 생명은 건졌습니다. 하지만 그는 소유한 모든 것을 잃었고 결국 굴에 갇히게 되었습니다. 이런 일이 롯에게 일어난 이유는 그가 나쁜 사람이기 때문이 아니라, 그저 하나님을 놓쳤기 때문입니다. 오히려 성경은 롯이 의인이라고 말합니다(벧후 2:7-8).

그러므로 당신의 인생에서 가장 거하기 좋은 곳은 언제나 하나님의 뜻의 중심입니다. 이 세상의 유혹에 넘어가지 마십시오. 당신의 선택은 육신의 욕심이 아닌 성령의 인도를 따라서 결정되어야 합니다.

한 가지 예로, 그저 경제적인 이유로 특정 도시나 국가로 이주하지 마십시오. 당신은 값비싼 실수를 저지를 수도 있습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “어떤 길은 사람이 보기에 바르나 필경은 사망의 길이니라”(잠 14:12).

DON’T MISS GOD

“For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding”(Colossians 1:9).

The Book of Genesis tells the touching story of Abraham and his nephew, Lot. When God called Abraham to leave his homeland for a foreign country, Lot journeyed with him (Genesis 12:4).

As God blessed Abraham in his pilgrimage, Lot was also blessed. They were both so blessed that the land where they sojourned at some point could no longer contain their herds.

Fighting often broke out between Abraham’s herdsmen and Lot’s, until Abraham said, “…Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left” (Genesis 13:8-9).

This was where Lot’s problem began. He looked at the lush green plains of Jordan on one side and the dry patch of land on the other. He chose the luxuriant side, and pitched his tent near Sodom, a land of wickedness, not knowing that God’s judgement was imminent upon Sodom.

When God rained fire on Sodom as retribution for the iniquity of its people, Lot’s life was spared as a result of Abraham’s intercession. But he (Lot) lost everything he owned in the crisis and ended up in a cave. This happened to Lot simply because he missed God; not because he was a bad person. In fact, the Bible says that Lot was a righteous man (2 Peter 2:7-8 NIV).

So in your life, the best place to be, always, is at the centre of God’s will. Never be carried away by the allures of this world. The choices you make shouldn’t be based on the cravings of the flesh, but according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

For example, don’t relocate to a particular city or country simply because of its economic prospects. You could be making a costly mistake. The Bible says, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 14:12).

PRAYER

Dear Father, I lay down my goals, ambitions, aspirations, desires and dreams at your feet. I trust your Word, which is the light that guides me in the path of success, victory, and greatness. Through your Word, I receive direction, illumination, and insight into the mysteries and realities of the Kingdom. I recognize and act on God-given opportunities alone, yielded only to the guidance of your Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

유혹을 극복하는 기도의 힘을 우리 주 예수님보다 더 잘 보여준 사람은 없습니다. 히브리서 5:7은 오늘의 본문 구절에서 예수님이 아버지께 기도하신 방식을 알려줍니다. “그는 육체에 계실 때에 자기를 죽음(아버지의 밝은 임재로부터의 분리에 대한 공포)에서 능히 구원하실 이에게 심한 통곡과 눈물로 간구와 소원을 올렸고 그의 경건하심으로 말미암아 들으심을 얻었느니라”(확대번역본).

아버지와의 분리는 예수님이 단 한 순간도 경험하고 싶지 않은 것이었습니다. 그래서 예수님은 무릎을 꿇고 기도하셨고, 그렇게 하셨을 때 놀라운 일이 일어났습니다. “…천사가 하늘로부터 예수께 나타나 힘을 더하더라”(눅 22:43). 그리고 44절은 말합니다. “예수께서 힘쓰고 애써 더욱 간절히 기도하시니…”

의인의 간절한 간구는 역사하는 힘이 크고, 역동적으로 그 간구를 이룬다는 것을 기억하십시오(약 5:16). 예수님은 힘써서 더욱 간절히 기도하셨습니다. 그분의 기도가 어찌나 간절한지, 성경은 “땀이 땅에 떨어지는 핏방울 같이 되더라”(눅 22:44)고 말합니다.

예수님께서 기도를 마치시고 제자들에게 중요한 말씀을 하셨습니다. 누가복음 22:45-46은 말합니다. “기도를 마치고 일어나, 제자들에게로 와서 보시니, 그들이 슬픔에 지쳐서 잠들어 있었다. 그래서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. ‘왜들 자고 있느냐? 시험에 빠지지 않도록, 일어나서 기도하여라.’”(새번역) 문제는 시험을 받는 것이 아니라, 시험에 빠지는 것입니다. 예수님은 우리가 시험에 빠지지 않도록 기도해야 함을 보여주셨습니다.

기억하십시오. 예수님은 아버지와 분리되어야 하는 공포를 경험하게 되셨고 “아니요, 저는 이것을 하지 않겠습니다!”라고 말하고 싶은 유혹과 씨름하셨습니다. 예수님은 기도해야 한다는 것을 아셨습니다. 친히 “항상 기도하고 낙심하지 말아야 할 것이니라”(눅 18:1)라고 가르치셨기 때문입니다.

주님과 같이 기도하십시오. 기도하는 자리에서 당신의 영은 하나님의 온전한 뜻을 분별하고 행하도록 맞춰지며, 당신의 믿음은 강화되어 유혹을 이기고 환경을 다스릴 수 있게 됩니다. 당신은 기도를 통해 승리하는 삶을 살도록 매일 성령의 능력으로 활력을 얻습니다. 할렐루야!

OVERCOMING TEMPTATION THROUGH PRAYER

“And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation”(Luke 22:40-42).

No one exemplified the power of prayer in overcoming temptation better than our Lord Jesus. Hebrews 5:7 gives us an idea why He prayed to the Father the way He did in our theme scripture: He (Jesus) “… shrank from the horrors of separation from the bright presence of the Father” (AMPC).

That separation from the Father was what He never wanted to experience even for a moment. As a result, He knelt and prayed, and as He did, something remarkable happened: “…there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him” (Luke 22:43). The 44th verse says, “And being in an agony he (Jesus) prayed more earnestly….”

Remember, the earnest prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working (James 5:16). Jesus, being in agony, prayed more earnestly. His prayer was so intense that the Bible says “… His sweat became like great clots of blood dropping down upon the ground” (Luke 22:44 AMPC).

Thanks be unto God; His prayer was answered. He submitted Himself to the will of the Father by becoming sin for us so we would become the righteousness of God in Him. Hallelujah!

When He was done praying, He said something instructive to His disciples as seen in Luke 22:45-46: “When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow. “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation” (NIV). The problem isn’t being tempted, but falling into the temptation. Jesus here shows us we must pray to avoid falling into temptation.

Remember, He was about to experience the horror of being separated from the Father, and had to wrestle with the temptation to say, “No, I’m not doing this!” He knew He had to pray, because He had Himself taught that “… Men ought always to pray, and not to faint” (Luke 18:1).

Like the Master, give yourself to prayer. In the place of prayer, your spirit is conditioned to discern and walk in God’s perfect will, and your faith is strengthened to overcome temptations and rule over circumstances. You’re invigorated with the might of the Spirit to live victoriously every day. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Lord, thank you for the privilege and blessing of prayer, a place where my spirit is conditioned to discern and walk in your perfect will always, and my faith is strengthened to overcome temptations and rule over circumstances. I’m fully equipped and fortified, strong in the Lord and in the power of His might to triumph gloriously today, and always. Amen.

우리가 기도를 통해 바꿀 수 없는 절망적인 상황은 없습니다. 오늘의 본문 구절을 확대번역본으로 읽어보십시오. “…의인이 하는 진심 어린(심령에서 우러나오고 계속되는) 기도는 엄청난 힘을 쓸 수 있게 [그 역사가 역동적이게] 한다.” 우리의 기도는 헛되지 않습니다.

기도를 통해 바꿀 수 없는 것은 없습니다. 그러므로 기도를 당신의 삶의 중요한 행위로 여기고, 매일의 일상에 포함되는 중요한 계획으로 만드십시오. 기도는 당신을 강건하게 할 것이며, 가장 힘든 유혹과 박해에 직면하더라도 당신의 초점을 유지하는 데 도움을 줄 것입니다.

THE POWER OF PRAYER

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”(James 5:16).

There’s no hopeless situation that we can’t change through prayer. Read our theme scripture in the Amplified Classic; it says, “…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” Our prayers are not empty.

Think about Paul and Silas for a moment. They were captured, beaten, and thrown into a dungeon with their feet clamped in stocks. But the Bible records in Acts 16:25-26 that: “…at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.”

How remarkable this is! Two men prayed and sang praises to God, and there was an earthquake! How loud could they have been singing for their voices to have caused an earthquake and broken off all the prisoners’ chains? It lets you know that it certainly wasn’t the volume of their singing; it was the power of their prayer!

There’s nothing you can’t change through prayer. Therefore, make prayer a major feature in your life and a major part of your daily routine. It will strengthen you and help you maintain focus even in the face of the toughest temptations and persecutions.

Dear Father, thank you for the privilege to pray and side with you to enforce your will in the earth and in the lives of men. Even now, I declare peace, progress and prosperity for the nations of the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Establish And Extend His Kingdom

우리가 하나님과 동행할 때, 언제나 이 땅에서의 목적에 초점을 두고 있는 것이 중요합니다. 우리가 여기 있는 이유를 기억하는 것입니다. 첫 번째 목적은 하나님의 왕국을 세우고 땅 끝까지 확장하는 것입니다.

성경은 말합니다. “이는 물이 바다를 덮음 같이 여호와의 영광을 인정하는 것이 세상에 가득함이니라”(합 2:14). 이를 실현하는 것이 우리의 책임, 우리의 일입니다!

많은 사람들이 하나님께서 이 세상을 스스로 운영하고 계시고, 따라서 어떤 일이 일어나든 그분의 뜻이라고 생각합니다. 그것이 사실이라면 왜 예수님은 제자들에게 이렇게 기도하라고 가르치셨습니까? “…하늘에 계신 우리 아버지여 이름이 거룩히 여김을 받으시오며 나라가 임하시오며 뜻이 하늘에서 이루어진 것 같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다”(마 6:9-10).

하나님의 뜻이 땅에서 언제나 이루어지고 있다면, 왜 그들에게 그렇게 기도하라고 권면하겠습니까? 우리가 그렇게 기도하는 이유는 이 땅에서 그분의 뜻을 행하는 것이 우리의 책임이기 때문입니다.

하늘에서는 언제나 하나님의 뜻이 이루어지지만, 땅에서는 오직 하나님의 백성들만 하나님의 뜻을 나타도록 기도할 수 있습니다. 그러므로 기도로 당신의 도시와 지역과 나라의 구원을 선언하십시오. 의가 이 땅 가운데 충만하여, 복음이 자유롭게 전달되고 영화롭게 되어, 왕국으로 엄청난 수의 영혼을 구원할 수 있도록 기도하십시오. 아멘.

ESTABLISH AND EXTEND HIS KINGDOM

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”(Matthew 6:33).

In our walk with God, it’s important to always keep in focus our purpose in the earth; why are we here? Our primary purpose is to establish and extend the kingdom of God to the ends of the earth.

The Bible says, “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14). It’s our responsibility to make this happen. It’s our job!

Matthew 28:19 conveys the mandate of the Master; He instructed, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” In essence, He wants us to make students or pupils of the nations. What a calling!

There are many who think God is running this world by Himself and so whatever happens is His will. If that were true, why would Jesus teach His disciples to pray in this manner “…Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:9-10).

Why admonish them to pray that way if God’s will is always being done in the earth? We pray that way because it’s our responsibility to enforce His will in the earth.

God’s will is always done in heaven, but in the earth, only God’s people can pray His will into manifestation. So, in prayer, speak forth salvation in your city, your state and in your country. Pray that righteousness will fill the land and the Gospel has free course and is glorified, resulting in a massive harvest of souls into the Kingdom. Amen.

PRAYER

Dear Father, your Kingdom reigns, and is established in the earth, and in the hearts of men as the Gospel is proclaimed around the world today. The light of the Gospel shines evermore in all nations, resulting in great testimonies of salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

천국의 교제

Fellowship Of The Heavenly Pantheon

“너희를 불러 그의 아들 예수 그리스도 우리 주와 더불어 교제하게 하시는 하나님은 미쁘시도다”(고전 1:9)

그리스도 예수 안에서 우리에게 가능케 하신 모든 것에 대해 주님께 너무나 감사합니다. 하나님과 교제할 수 있다는 점에 대해 생각해 보십시오! 어떤 종교에서도 이런 교제를 찾을 수 없을 것입니다. 종교는 하나님과의 교제를 제공해줄 수 없습니다. 그러나 예수님은 우리를 하나님과의 교제로 인도하셨습니다. 얼마나 놀라운지요!

예를 들어, 기도에는 우리의 영을 세우는 데 도움이 되는 특별한 종류의 하나님과의 소통 수단이 있습니다. 우리가 주님과의 풍성한 교제 안에 있기 때문입니다. 요한일서 1:3은 말합니다. “우리가 보고 들은 바를 너희에게도 전함은 너희로 우리와 사귐이 있게 하려 함이니 우리의 사귐은 아버지와 그의 아들 예수 그리스도와 더불어 누림이라.”

또한 고린도전서 1:9은 말합니다. “너희를 불러 그의 아들 예수 그리스도 우리 주와 더불어 교제하게 하시는 하나님은 미쁘시도다.” 더 나아가 베드로후서 1:3-4은 이렇게 말합니다. “그의 신기한 능력으로 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨으니 이는 자기의 영광과 덕으로써 우리를 부르신 이를 앎으로 말미암음이라 이로써 그 보배롭고 지극히 큰 약속을 우리에게 주사 이 약속으로 말미암아 너희가 정욕 때문에 세상에서 썩어질 것을 피하여 신성한 성품에 참여하는 자가 되게 하려 하셨느니라.”

“참여하는 자”로 번역된 그리스어 단어는 “교제”와 같은 어원인 “코이노니아(Koinonia)”에서 유래되었습니다. 따라서 “신성한 성품에 참여하는 자”는 “코이노니아 테아스 푸세오스(koinonos theias phuseos)”에서 번역되었고, 하나님과 같은 종류의 존재라는 뜻입니다. 곧 우리가 신성한 천국의 교제 가운데로 속하게 되었다는 것을 알려줍니다.

성경에서 “…너희는 신들이며…”(시 82:6) 라고 말한 것도 당연합니다. 주 예수님은 이 시편을 인용하시면서 요한복음 10:34에서 이 진리를 다시 선포하셨습니다. “…너희 율법에 기록된 바 내가 너희를 신이라 하였노라 하지 아니하였느냐?” 이것이 바로 기독교의 경이로움입니다. 주님의 죽으심과 장사되심, 그리고 영광스러운 부활의 본질입니다.

우리가 왕 중의 왕, 우주의 왕이신 주님과 교제하고 있음을 아는 것은 너무나 아름답습니다. 요한일서 1:3은 이를 아주 간결하게 잘 표현했습니다. 당신은 인간의 평범한 영역에서 하나님과 같은 종류의 초자연적인 영역으로 옮겨졌으며, 이곳에서 신성과 함께 참되고 깊은 양질의 교제와 연합을 누릴 수 있습니다. 얼마나 큰 축복인지요!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 그리스도 안에서 내가 갖게 된 신성의 본성과 당신과의 분리될 수 없는 연합에 감사드립니다. 복되신 유일한 하나님, 곧 우주의 왕이시며 오직 참되시고 의로우신 하나님과 교제할 수 있다는 것은 너무나도 큰 영광과 축복과 특권입니다.

FELLOWSHIP OF THE HEAVENLY PANTHEON

“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord”(1 Corinthians 1:9).

I’m ever so grateful to the Lord for all that He’s made possible and available to us in Christ Jesus. Think about the possibility of fellowship with God! You wouldn’t find that in any religion, as no religion offers you fellowship with God. But Jesus brought us into fellowship with God. What an amazing reality!

In our prayers, for example, there’re special kinds of communications with God that help us build our spirits, because we’re in a rich fellowship with the Lord. The Bible says in 1 John 1:3, “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.”

Also, 1 Corinthians 1:9 says, “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” The Apostle Peter takes it further in 2 Peter 1:3-4 “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature….”

The Greek word that’s translated “partakers” comes from the same root word as fellowship; it’s “Koinonia.” Thus, “partakers of the divine nature” is translated from “koinonos theias phuseos,” and that means associates of the God-kind. This implies that we’ve been brought into the fellowship of the divine, heavenly pantheon.

No wonder the Bible says, “…Ye are gods…” (Psalm 82:6). The Lord Jesus, quoting the psalms, reiterated this truth in John 10:34, “…Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?” This is the wonder of Christianity; it’s the whole essence of the Lord’s death, burial and His glorious resurrection.

How beautiful it is to know that we’re in fellowship with the Sovereign King, the monarch of the universe, as John so succinctly puts it in 1 John 1:3. You’ve been translated from the ordinary realm of mankind to the supernatural class of the God-kind, where you can enjoy true, deep, and quality fellowship and union with divinity. What a blessing!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the vital nature of divinity, and the inseparable oneness with you that I have in Christ. What an honour, blessing and privilege to be in fellowship with the blessed and only potentate; the Monarch of the universe and only true and righteous God!
