Sustain The Glory Through Prayer
“아버지여, 아버지의 이름을 영광스럽게 하옵소서 하시니 이에 하늘에서 소리가 나서 이르되 내가 이미 영광스럽게 하였고 또다시 영광스럽게 하리라 하시니”(요 12:28)
누가는 예수께서 변화산에서 기도하실 때에 일어난 일을 성령의 감동으로 기록했습니다. “기도하실 때에 용모가 변화되고 그 옷이 희어져 광채가 나더라”(눅 9:29). 이 말은 곧 영광이 더해졌다는 뜻입니다. 그러나 그 영광과 능력은 원래 예수님 안으로부터 나왔습니다. 이것이 우리 각 사람이 성령 안에서 기도함으로 할 수 있는 일이고 또 해야만 하는 변화입니다. 이것이 비결입니다.
당신이 짧은 시간만 기도하면 영광을 유지하기가 어렵거나 영광이 사그라들 수도 있습니다. 예를 들어 우리가 사람들에게 사역을 하면서 안수를 할 때, 그 순간 그것은 분명한 영향력을 끼칩니다. 하지만 그 능력을 계속 머무르게 하는 것은 또 다른 일입니다. 따라서 영광의 효과와 영향력을 유지하려면 당신은 기도, 곧 성령 안에서 하는 기도에 자신을 내어드려야 합니다.
당신이 경건하지 않은 잡담에 시간을 보내면서 이를 기대할 수는 없습니다. 디모데후서 2:15-16(확대번역본)은 말합니다. “너는 진리의 말씀을 정확하게 분석하고 바르게 나누어[올바르게 다루고 능숙하게 가르쳐] 네 자신을 하나님께 인정받은(시험을 통과한) 자로, 부끄러울 것이 없는 일꾼으로 나타내도록 연구하고, 열망하고, 전력을 다하라. 그러나 텅빈(헛된, 쓸모없는, 게으른) 말장난들을 피하라. 그것들은 점점 더 경건치 아니함으로 나아가느니라.”
만약 당신의 삶이 영광에서 영광으로 가는 것을 보고 싶다면, 공허하고 헛되고 쓸모없고 게으른 말을 피하십시오. 오히려 말씀의 사역과 영 안에서 하는 기도에 자신을 내어드리십시오. 고린도후서 3:18(확대번역본)은 말합니다. “그러나 우리는 다 가리지 않은 얼굴로 [하나님의 말씀을 지속적으로 바라보므로] 거울을 보는 것 같이 주의 영광을 바라보며 그분과 같은 형상으로 지속적으로 변모되어 영광에서 영광에 이르렀나니 이것은 곧 [영이신] 주로부터 [왔느니라].
당신이 말씀을 공부하고 하나님의 영광을 바라보면, 당신은 영광과 실제로 마주한 것입니다. 영광이 당신을 떠나지 않게 하십시오. 그것을 붙잡으십시오. 기도와 말씀 묵상으로 영광을 유지하십시오.
기도
사랑하는 하늘 아버지, 오늘 내 영 안에 심겨진 말씀에 감사드립니다. 나는 변모되고 있습니다. 내가 영으로 기도할 때 나의 얼굴에서도 영광의 광채가 나타납니다. 나의 삶의 모든 부분이 영광에서 영광으로 변화됩니다. 당신의 말씀의 빛이 내 안에서 밝게 빛납니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

SUSTAIN THE GLORY THROUGH PRAYER
“Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I haveboth glorified it, and will glorify it again”(John 12:28).
Luke, by the Spirit, reports what happened to Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration as He prayed: “And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering” (Luke 9:29). That means the glory increased. But that glory and power were from within Him. This is the transformation that each one of us can and should have through praying in the Holy Ghost. That’s the secret.
If you pray for a short time, you may not sustain the glory or it could fizzle out. For example, when we minister to people and lay hands on them, it does something for them at that moment. But it’s a completely different thing for that power to stay. To sustain the effect and the impact of the glory, you must give yourself to prayer—praying in the spirit.
You can’t spend your time in godless chatter and experience this. 2 Timothy 2:15-16 (AMPC) says, “Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. But avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness.”
If you want to see your life go from glory to glory, avoid empty, vain, useless, idle talk; rather, give yourself to the ministry of the Word and praying in the spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18 AMPC says, “And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.”
If you’ve been studying the Word, beholding the glory of God, you’ve contacted something. Don’t let it leave you. Hold on to it. Sustain it through prayer and meditation on the Word.
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for your Word that has come to my spirit today; I’m transfigured, and the glory is resplendent even in my countenance as I pray in the spirit. I’m transformed in every area of my life, from glory to glory, and the light of your Word shines forth brightly in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
