선택 받은 민족

The Chosen Race

“유대인에게나 헬라인에게나 하나님의 교회에나 거치는 자가 되지 말고”(고전 10:32)

예수님이 오시기 전, 하나님께는 두 민족, 즉 유대 민족과 이방 민족만 있었습니다. 유대 민족은 아브라함과 그의 씨에 대한 하나님의 선택이자 약속의 결과였습니다. 유대 민족이 아닌 사람은 그가 어디에서 왔든지 상관없이 모두 이방 민족이었습니다. 그러나 예수 그리스도께서 오셔서 마태복음 16:18에서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “…내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라”

그분께서는 에베소서 1:22-23에서 교회가 어떤 존재인지 알려주셨습니다. “또 만물을 그의 발 아래에 복종하게 하시고 그를 만물 위에 교회의 머리로 삼으셨느니라 교회는 그의 몸이니 만물 안에서 만물을 충만하게 하시는 이의 충만함이니라” 교회는 그분의 몸입니다. 에베소서 5:30은 몸이 무엇으로 이루어져 있는지 가르쳐줍니다. “이는 우리가 그의 몸과 그의 살과 그의 뼈의 지체임이라.”(한글킹제임스) 예수님은 그분의 교회, 곧 그분의 몸을 세우겠다고 말씀하셨습니다. 그리고 우리는 그 몸의 지체입니다. 할렐루야! 고린도전서 12:27은 “너희는 그리스도의 몸이요 지체의 각 부분이라”고 말합니다.

교회 민족은 유대 민족과 이방 민족 중에서 거듭난 사람들로 이루어집니다. “그는 우리의 화평이신지라 둘로 하나를 만드사 원수 된 것 곧 중간에 막힌 담을 자기 육체로 허시고”(엡 2:14) 그리스도 예수 안에는 유대인도 이방인도 없습니다. “너희 가운데 그리스도 안으로 침례를 받은 사람은 그리스도로 옷입었느니라. 유대인이나 헬라인도 없고, 종이나 자유인도 없으며, 남자와 여자도 없으니, 이는 너희 모두가 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나이기 때문이라.”(갈 3:27-28, 한글킹제임스)

당신이 거듭났을 때 이방인이었던 당신의 정체성은 사라졌습니다. 마찬가지로 바울도 거듭나면서 그의 유대인의 정체성이 사라졌습니다. “그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다”(고후 5:17) 이제 당신은 교회 민족의 일원이며, 하나님께 선택 받은 민족입니다. “그러나 여러분은 하나님이 선택하신 민족이며 왕 같은 제사장이요 거룩한 나라요 하나님의 소유가 된 백성입니다. 이것은 여러분을 어두움에서 불러내어 놀라운 빛 가운데 들어가게 하신 하나님을 널리 찬양하도록 하기 위한 것입니다.”(벧전 2:9, 현대인의성경)

고백

나는 그리스도 예수 안에서의 나의 위대한 가치를 알고 존엄하게 살아갑니다. 나는 선택 받았고, 왕족이며, 특별합니다. 나는 그리스도와 함께 앉아 있으며, 모든 정사와 권세와 능력과 다스림과 이 세상 뿐만 아니라 오는 세상에서도 이름 지어진 모든 이름 위에 뛰어납니다! 하나님을 송축합니다!

THE CHOSEN RACE

“Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God”(1 Corinthians 10:32).

Before Jesus came, God recognized only two races in the world—the Jewish race and Gentile race. A Jewish race was the result of God’s choice and promise to Abraham and his seed. Every other person that wasn’t a Jew was a Gentile, no matter where they came from. When Jesus Christ came, He said in Matthew 16:18, “…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

In Ephesians 1:22-23, He told us what that Church is: “And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.” The Church is His Body. Ephesians 5:30 tells us what the Body comprises: “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.” So, Jesus said He’d build His Church—His Body—and we’re the members of that Body. Hallelujah! 1 Corinthians 12:27 says, “Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”

The Church race is made up of those who are born again from among the Jews and the Gentiles. “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us” (Ephesians 2:14). In Christ Jesus, there’s neither Jew nor Gentile: “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:27-28).

You lost your identity as a Gentile when you were born again, the same way Paul lost his identity as a Jew when he was born again. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” You’re now a part of the Church race, and that, to God, is the chosen race: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9 ESV).

CONFESSION

I carry myself with dignity, knowing my great value and worth in Christ Jesus. I’m chosen, royal and peculiar! I’m seated with Christ, far above all principalities, powers, might, dominions, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come! Blessed be God!

Four Names Of Jesus

“한 아기가 우리를 위해 태어났다. 우리가 한 아들을 모셨다. 그는 우리의 통치자가 될 것이다. 그의 이름은 ‘놀라우신 조언자’, ‘전능하신 하나님’, ‘영존하시는 아버지’, ‘평화의 왕’이라고 불릴 것이다.”(사 9:6, 새번역)

오늘의 본문 구절은 하나님께서 이사야 선지자에게 주신 중요한 계시였습니다. 하나님께서는 이사야 선지자에게 한 아이가 태어나 어떻게 불릴 것인지 말씀하셨습니다. 첫번째 이름은 “놀라운 상담자”입니다.

히브리어 원문을 보면 “놀라우신 조언자”는 “대단한 전략가”를 의미합니다. 그리고 이 표현은 우리에게 성령님의 사역에 대해 계시해줍니다. “또 내가 아버지께 기도하겠고, 그분께서 다른 위로자(상담자, 도움을 주시는 분, 중보자, 변호자, 힘 주시는 분, 비상대기자)를 너희에게 주시리니 그가 너희와 함께 영원히 거하시리라.”(요 14:16, 확대번역본)

하나님의 예언적 계획 안에서 그 아이가 태어나고, 아들로 성장하고, 죽습니다. 그분의 죽음, 장사됨, 부활 이후, 그분은 교회 시대 전체에 걸쳐 우리에게 사역하시기 위해 성령님을 통해 오십니다. 성령님은 대단한 상담자이시며 우리가 이 삶에서 승리하도록 도우시는 전략가이십니다.

교회시대가 끝나갈 무렵, 주 예수님께서는 전능하신 하나님으로서 이스라엘을 구원하시기 위해 오십니다. “…위대하신 하나님과 우리 구주 예수 그리스도의 영광이 나타나기를 고대합니다.”(딛 2:13, 새번역) 마지막 때에 이스라엘은 최전선이 됩니다. 유대인들은 큰 환난을 겪고, 많은 사람들이 두려움에 떨며 적그리스도에게서 달아납니다. 그러나 예수님은 위대한 성도의 군대를 거느리고 하늘나라에서 오셔서 이스라엘을 구출하십니다. 그분은 적그리스도와 하나님의 모든 적들을 대항하여 행동하십니다.

다음으로 이스라엘이 경험하는 것은 영존하시는 아버지입니다. 그들이 그분을 2,000년 동안 거절하고 그분을 믿지 않다가, 어느 순간 그분이 자신들을 적그리스도에게서 구출해주신 분이심을 깨닫고 그분께 나아와 외칩니다. “우리의 죄를 따라 우리를 처벌하지는 아니하시며 우리의 죄악을 따라 우리에게 그대로 갚지는 아니하셨으니… 아버지가 자식을 긍휼히 여김 같이 여호와께서는 자기를 경외하는 자를 긍휼히 여기시나니”(시 103:10-13)

마지막으로 그분은 평화의 왕으로 불리십니다. 이스라엘을 구하시고 그분의 팔을 벌려 그들을 받아들이신 후, 그분은 그분의 천년왕국을 세우십니다. 1000년 동안 평화가 지속되며 우리는 그분과 함께 열방을 다스릴 것입니다(계 20:4-6).

제가 당신께 말씀드리는 마지막 때가 그리 멀리 있지 않습니다. 그리스도께서 성령으로 말미암아 교회에 나타나신 첫 번째 이름은 약 2,000년 정도 지속되고 있으며 점점 고지를 향해 달려가고 있습니다. 휴거는 얼마 남지 않았습니다. 그러므로 곧 있을 주님의 재림을 준비하는 삶을 사십시오.

고백

위대하신 하나님! 한 세대가 다른 세대에게 당신의 하신 일을 찬양할 것이고, 그들이 당신의 위대한 일들을 선포할 것입니다. 당신께서는 당신의 뜻의 목적에 따라 모든 계획을 행하십니다. 당신의 지혜가 얼마나 위대한지요! 할렐루야!

FOUR NAMES OF JESUS

“…and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”(Isaiah 9:6-7).

Our opening text was a major revelation from God to the Prophet Isaiah. He told him about a child that would be born and listed certain names by which He would be called. The first is “Wonderful Counselor.” In the original Hebrew text, the name, “Wonderful Counsellor” means “Extraordinary Strategist,” and this immediately reveals to us the ministry of the Holy Spirit: “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever” (John 14:16 AMPC).

In God’s prophetic plan, the child is born, grows up as a son, and dies. After His death, burial and resurrection, He comes to minister to us throughout the Church Age through the Holy Spirit, the extraordinary counselor, who is a strategic guide that helps us win in life.

At the end of the Church Age, the Lord Jesus comes to deliver Israel as the mighty God: “…the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13). During the Armageddon, Israel is the battlefront. The Jews go through Great Tribulation, and many of them would flee from the Antichrist in terror. Jesus, however, comes out of heaven with a great army of saints and delivers Israel. He takes actions against the Antichrist and all the enemies of God.

The next thing Israel experiences is the Everlasting Father. Though they’ve rejected Him for 2,000 years and haven’t believed in Him, they suddenly realize He’s the One who delivered them from the Antichrist, and they come to Him crying, “He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities…Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him” (Psalm 103:10-13).

Finally, He’s called the Prince of Peace. After delivering Israel and opening His arms to receive them, He establishes His Kingdom for 1,000 years. This will be 1,000 years of peace, and we’ll reign with Him over the nations of the earth (Revelation 20:4-6).

These days that I tell you about are not so far away. The first one, where Christ is manifested to the Church through the Holy Spirit, has been going on for nearly 2,000 years now and is coming to its climax. The Rapture isn’t so far away. So, live your life in preparation for the Master’s soon return.

CONFESSION

One generation shall praise your works to another, and they shall declare your mighty acts, O great God! You work out all your plans in conformity with the purpose of your will. How great is your wisdom! Hallelujah!

모두 주님을 대적하는 것입니다

It’s All About The Master

“또 너희가 내 이름으로 말미암아 모든 사람에게 미움을 받을 것이나 끝까지 견디는 자는 구원을 얻으리라”(마 10:22)

마태복음 17:24-27에 나오는 이야기를 공부해보면, 일부 유대인 관리들이 세금으로 베드로를 괴롭히러 왔을 때 그들이 베드로에게 세금에 대해 묻지 않았다는 것을 알게 됩니다. 오히려 그들은 “너희 선생님은 공세를 내지 아니하시느냐?”(마 17:24, 한글흠정역) 고 말했습니다. 다른 말로 하자면, “당신의 주님은 세금을 내십니까?” 라고 말한 것입니다. 그들은 베드로에게는 관심이 없었고 주님께 집중했습니다.

항상 이런 식으로 우리 주님을 대적합니다. 세상은 우리가 누구인지 때문이 아니라 우리가 대표하는 예수 그리스도 때문에 우리를 미워합니다. 그들은 주님을 향한 당신의 믿음 때문에 당신을 싫어할 것입니다. 당신이 얼마나 선하고, 도움을 베풀고, 친절하고, 성공적인지는 상관이 없습니다. 당신이 예수 그리스도와 관련이 있기 때문입니다.

예수님을 향한 사탄의 증오는 세상의 영이라 불립니다. 세상은 예수님을 증오합니다. 많은 사람들이 예수님이 어떤 분인지 잘 모르면서도 여전히 그분을 싫어합니다. 무슨 이유 때문입니까? 어떻게 자신이 잘 모르는 사람을 싫어할 수 있습니까? 세상의 영 때문에 그렇습니다. 그것은 세상의 많은 사람들을 사로잡아 주님을 증오하게 합니다.

그들은 종교를 원합니다. 그들은 기도하기를 원합니다. 그들은 무언가를 믿고 싶어합니다. 그러나 당신이 그들에게 예수님에 대해 말하면 그들은 예수님을 격렬하게 거절합니다. 시므온은 예수님이 “비방을 받는 표적이 되기 위하여 세움을 받았다”(눅 2:34)고 말했습니다.

우리가 예수님만이 유일한 길이라고 말하면 그것이 ‘혐오 발언’이라고 말하는 사람들이 있습니다. 그들은 우리가 하는 대부분의 말을 혐오 발언이라고 해석하여 마지막 때의 그리스도인들에 대한 대대적인 핍박의 토대를 마련하고 있습니다.

예수님은 마태복음 10:25에서 말씀하셨습니다. “…그들이 그 집 주인을 비엘세불이라 불렀다면 그 집 가족들에게는 얼마나 더 심하게 하겠느냐?”(한글킹제임스) 핍박을 당할 때, 당신이 자신의 이름이 아닌 예수님의 이름으로 보내심을 받은 자라는 것을 항상 기억하십시오. 따라서, 주님께서 당신의 방어이자 보상이 되실 것입니다.

고백

나는 그리스도의 대사입니다. 나는 그분의 구원하는 능력의 소식을 전하는 자입니다. 나는 이 세상의 핍박이나 고통과 상관없이 견고하고, 담대하고, 주님의 일에 더욱 힘씁니다. 나는 항상 그분 안에서 영광스럽게 승리하며 그리스도의 의와 축복 그리고 땅 끝까지 그분의 구원하는 능력을 담대히 선포합니다. 아멘!

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MASTER

“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved”(Matthew 10:22).

When you study a story in Matthew 17:24-27, you’ll discover that when some Jewish officials came to harass Peter about taxes, they didn’t ask him about his own taxes. Rather, they said, “… Doth not your master pay tribute?” (Matthew 17:24). In other words, “Doesn’t your Master pay taxes?” They overlooked Peter and focused instead on the Master.

It’s always been that way: it’s all about our Master. The world hates us, not because of who we are, but because of who we represent—Jesus Christ. They’ll hate you for your faith in Him. No matter how good you are, how helpful you are, how kind you are, how successful you are; it won’t make any difference to them because you’re associated with Jesus Christ.

The hatred of Satan for Jesus is called the spirit of the world. The world hates Jesus. Many individuals who don’t even know Jesus enough still hate Him, and you wonder why. How can they hate someone they don’t even know? It’s because of the spirit of the world. It has captured a lot of people in the world, and it moves them in a way that makes them think about the Master with hatred.

They want religion, they want to pray, they want to believe in something, but when you tell them about Jesus, they reject Him vehemently. A man named Simeon said that this Jesus is “set for a sign that shall be spoken against” (Luke 2:34).

There’re people now who claim that when we say Jesus is the only way, it’s “hate speech.” They’re construing many of the things we say as hate speech, thereby laying the foundation for a massive persecution of Christians in the last days.

Jesus said in Matthew 10:25, “…If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?” When you’re persecuted, always remember that you were sent, not in your own name, but in the Name of Jesus. Therefore, the Lord Himself shall be your defense, and reward.

CONFESSION

I’m Christ’s ambassador, the bearer of the news of His saving power. I’m steadfast, undaunted, always abounding in the work of the Lord, irrespective of the distress or persecution in this world. I triumph gloriously in Him always, boldly proclaiming the righteousness and blessedness of Christ and His saving power to the ends of the earth. Amen!

We’re More Than Humans

“무리가 바울이 한 일을 보고 루가오니아 방언으로 소리 질러 이르되 신들이 사람의 형상으로 우리 가운데 내려오셨다 하여”(행 14:11)

성경은 바울이 루스드라에서 날 때부터 절름발이였던 사람을 어떻게 치유했는지 알려줍니다. 사람들은 이 일을 보고 충격을 받아 바울과 바나바를 신이라고 불렀습니다. 무리가 그들을 경배하려 하자, 바울과 바나바는 급히 그들을 막으면서 이렇게 말했습니다. “여러분이여 어찌하여 이러한 일을 하느냐 우리도 여러분과 같은 성정을 가진 사람이라 여러분에게 복음을 전하는 것은 이런 헛된 일을 버리고 천지와 바다와 그 가운데 만물을 지으시고 살아 계신 하나님께로 돌아오게 함이라”(행 14:15)

이 시점에 사도들은 본인이 사람이라고 생각했습니다. 그래서 그렇게 말하고 그렇게 생각했던 것입니다. 그들은 “보십시오, 우리도 당신들과 똑같은 사람들입니다.” 라고 말했습니다. 그들의 겸손은 옳았지만, 그들의 대답은 틀렸습니다. 그들은 사람들에게 “우리를 경배하지 마십시오. 만일 당신들이 예수님을 믿는다면 당신들도 신이 될 수 있는 가능성이 있다는 것이 우리가 전하는 메시지입니다.” 라고 말했어야 합니다.

사람들은 바울과 바나바의 정체를 알아냈습니다. 그들이 그저 인간이 아니라는 것을 발견했습니다. 그들은 사람의 형상을 한 신이었습니다. 사람들이 맞았습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “내가 말하기를 너희는 신들이며 다 지존자의 아들들이라 하였으나”(시 82:6) 그러나 당신은 일부 그리스도인들이 “우리는 평범한 사람들입니다.” 라고 말하는 것을 들을 수 있습니다. 그들은 그렇게 말하는 것이 자신들을 겸손하게 만든다고 생각합니다. 아닙니다! 그들이 얼마나 무지한지 보여줄 뿐입니다.

우리는 거듭나기 전에는 평범했습니다. 그러나 이제 우리는 거듭났고 하나님의 집이 되었습니다. 우리 각자는 성령님이 거하시는 처소입니다. 온 우주의 창조주이신 성령님께서 당신 안에 거하십니다! 당신의 몸은 그분의 살아 있는 성전입니다. 이것이 실재이며 이 실재가 당신의 의식의 일부가 되어야 합니다. 당신은 이렇게 생각해야 합니다.

당신이 이것을 인식하기 전까지 이 실재의 능력은 역사하지 않을 것입니다. 다시는 “나는 평범한 사람입니다.” 라고 말하지 마십시오. 당신이 예수 그리스도를 믿기 시작했을 때 당신은 하나님의 사람이 되었습니다. 하나님과 같은 종류의 존재가 된 것입니다. 당신은 하나님으로부터 태어났습니다. 당신은 실제로 초자연적인 존재입니다. 하나님은 당신을 그분과 똑같이 만드셨습니다. “…주께서 그러하심과 같이 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하니라”(요일 4:17) 지금 당신은 하나님의 생명과 본성을 가지고 있습니다.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 예수 그리스도의 영광스러운 복음에 대한 지식을 통해 당신께서 내 영에 쌓아 두신 귀한 보물과 나의 참된 정체성을 발견할 수 있도록 도와주셔서 감사합니다. 나는 그리스도 안에 있는 신성한 유업, 근원, 영광을 인식하고 그 빛 가운데 행합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

WE’RE MORE THAN HUMANS

“When the crowd saw what Paul had

done, they shouted in the Lycaonian

language, ‘The gods have come down to

us in human form’”(Acts 14:11 NIV).

The Bible tells us how in Lystra Paul healed a man that was lame from birth. When the crowd saw it, they went wild and called him and Barnabas gods. They were about to worship them when Paul and Barnabas rushed to stop them, saying, “Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them” (Acts 14:15 NIV).

At this point in their lives, the apostles thought they were mere humans; they said so and thought so. They said, “Look, we’re humans like you.” Their humility was right, but their answer was wrong. They were supposed to say to the people, “Don’t worship us. This is the message we’ve brought to you: that you also have the potential to become gods if you believe in Jesus.”

The people found out what these men really were. They discovered they weren’t humans; they were gods in the form of men, and they were right. The Bible says, “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High” (Psalm 82:6). Yet, you hear some Christians say, “We’re just ordinary people.” They think talking that way makes them humble. No! It just shows how ignorant they are.

We were ordinary until we were born again. Now that we’re born again, we’ve become the house of God. Each one of us is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, the creator of the entire universe, lives in you! Your body is His living tabernacle. This is a reality and it has to come into your consciousness. You have to think this way.

Until you become conscious of it, the power therein won’t work for you. Never again say, “I’m just an ordinary human being.” When you believed in Jesus Christ, you became a God-man, an associate of the God-kind. You were literally born of God. You’re actually a supernatural being. God made you exactly like Himself, “…as he is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). You have the life and nature of God now. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for helping me discover who I really am and the priceless treasure you’ve deposited in my spirit through the knowledge of the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge and walk in the light of my divine heritage, origin and glory in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Word In You

“…내가 너희에게 이른 말은 영이요 생명이라”(요 6:63)

“당신이 먹는 것이 곧 당신 자신입니다.” 라는 말을 들어본 적이 있습니까? 이 말은 사실입니다. 당신이 먹는 것이 당신의 몸 안으로 들어가기 때문입니다. 당신의 몸 안에 들어갔지만 당신의 몸과 하나가 되지 못한 것들은 몸 밖으로 배출됩니다. 당신의 몸과 하나가 된 것만 당신의 몸 안에 남습니다.

당신이 말씀을 받아 소화할 때, 그 말씀은 당신의 영 안으로 들어갑니다. 묵상을 통해 당신은 그 말씀이 당신의 영에서 생각을 통해 나가게 합니다. 그 말씀은 당신의 생각으로부터 몸으로 스며들고 그 안에서 역사하기 시작합니다. 말씀은 당신의 육신과 하나가 되고 당신은 말씀과 분리될 수 없는 하나의 존재가 됩니다. 이것은 매우 중요합니다. 하나님의 생명이 있는 곳에 하나님의 말씀이 있기 때문입니다.

씨 뿌리는 자의 비유를 떠올려 보십시오. 예수님께서는 “씨는 하나님의 말씀이요”(눅 8:11) 라고 말씀하셨습니다. 씨는 무엇입니까? 씨는 모든 것에 생명을 주는 원리입니다. 즉, 하나님의 말씀이 생명을 운반하는 하나님의 원리라는 의미입니다. 말씀은 하나님의 씨입니다. 천사가 마리아에게 말하자 마리아는 믿었고, 그녀는 천사로부터 말씀을 받았습니다. 그리고 그 말씀이 예수님이 되셨습니다. 당신이 자신 안으로 말씀을 받아들일 때 그것은 당신 안에서 그 말씀이 말하는 바를 생산해냅니다.

하나님의 말씀이 당신에게 올 때, 그 말씀은 당신 안에서 말씀이 말하는 바를 생산해냅니다. 이것이 어떤 의미입니까? 성경은 말합니다. “태초에 말씀이 계시니라 이 말씀이 하나님과 함께 계셨으니 이 말씀은 곧 하나님이시니라”(요 1:1) 말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하셨습니다. 예수 그리스도는 살아 계신 말씀, 육신을 입은 말씀이셨습니다.

이제 우리는 기록된 말씀을 가지고 있습니다. 당신이 기록된 말씀을 묵상한다면 그것은 말씀으로 당신 안에 들어와 하나님으로 당신 안에 거하실 것입니다. 할렐루야! 바로 이것이 우리가 파괴될 수 없는 이유입니다. 우리는 영원히 삽니다. 말씀이 당신 안에 있고, 영원히 당신 안에 거하기 때문입니다(벧전 1:23).

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 내 안에 있는 당신의 말씀에 감사드립니다. 당신의 말씀은 내 안에서 말씀이 말하는 바를 생산해냅니다. 따라서 나는 항상 승리, 성공, 번영, 신성한 건강의 삶을 삽니다. 당신의 말씀은 신실하고 참되며 나는 내 자신을 말씀에 온전히 내어드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE WORD IN YOU

“…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”(John 6:63).

Did you ever hear the expression, “You’re what you eat”? It’s true, because what you eat gets into your body. Anything that gets into your body and doesn’t become one with it passes out as waste. Only that which becomes one with your body remains in your body.

When you receive and digest the Word, it gets into your spirit. Through meditation, you cause it to go from your spirit through your mind. From your mind, it filters into your body and starts working in it. It becomes one with your flesh, and you become one inseparable entity. This is important because the Word of God is where the life of God is.

Remember the parable of the sower who went forth to sow his seed. Jesus said, “…The seed is the Word of God” (Luke 8:11). What’s a seed? A seed is the life-giving principle of anything. This means the Word of God is the life-carrying principle of God; the Word is the seed of God. When the angel spoke to Mary and she believed, she received the Word from the angel, and that Word became Jesus.

When you receive the Word into you, it produces in you what it talks about. What does that mean? Remember, the Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus Christ was the living Word, the Word in flesh. Now, we have the written Word. When you meditate on the written Word, it gets into you as the Word, and lives in you as God. Hallelujah! This is why we’re indestructible. We live and abide forever, because the Word in you, lives and abides forever (1 Peter 1:23).

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your Word that’s at home in me. Your Word produces in me what it talks about; therefore, I live a life of victory, success, prosperity and divine health always. Your Word is faithful and true, and I’ve given myself wholly to it, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Same Rights In Christ

“…남자나 여자나 다 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나이니라”(갈 3:28)

세상의 어떤 지역에서는 여성이 말씀을 전하면 안 된다고 말합니다. 그러나 성경은 그렇게 말하지 않습니다. 오히려 성경은 새로운 피조물로서 우리 모두가 예수 그리스도 안에서 하나라고 말합니다. 율법에서는 남성들에게는 있었지만 여성들은 가지지 못했던 권리들이 있었습니다. 그러나 이제 그리스도 안에서 우리는 모두 하나입니다. 할렐루야.

이는 율법에 있었던 것과는 달리 여성에 대한 제한이 없다는 것을 의미합니다. 그리스도 안에서 남성과 여성 간의 차이가 있는 것은 오직 그들이 결혼했을 때 뿐입니다. 성경은 아내와 남편을 구별해서 말합니다. 그러나 결혼하지 않은 남성과 여성은 그리스도 안에서 동일한 권리를 가집니다.

어떤 사람이 다음과 같이 말할 수도 있습니다. “그렇지만 신약에서도 “여자가 가르치는 것과 남자를 주관하는 것을 허락하지 아니하노니 오직 조용할지니라”(딤전 2:12)고 말합니다. 이 구절은 그리스도 여성을 말하는 것이 아닙니까?” 만일 당신이 이 구절을 문맥 안에서 읽는다면, 이 구절은 기혼자들에게 해당되는 구절임을 알게 될 것입니다. 이 다음 구절은 말합니다. “이는 아담이 먼저 지음을 받고 하와가 그 후며”(딤전 2:13) 이는 결혼이라는 문맥 안에서 봐야 한다는 뜻입니다.

아내가 남편을 가르쳐서는 안 된다고 말할 때, 실제 번역은 자신의 남편에게 “지시하다” 또는 “명령하다” 라는 뜻을 가지고 있습니다. 아내가 남편에게 어떤 지식을 설명하거나 조언하면 안된다는 의미가 아닙니다. 예언자 요엘이 마지막 때에 대해 기록한 내용을 기억해보십시오. “그 후에 내가 내 영을 모든 육체 위에 부으리라. 그러면 너희 아들들과 너희 딸들이 예언할 것이요…”(욜 2:28, 한글킹제임스)

예언한다는 것은 권세의 말씀 곧 하나님의 왕국으로부터 온 말씀을 말한다는 의미입니다. 당연히 그들은 자신들에게만 이 말을 하지는 않을 것이고, 배우지 않은 사람들에게도 말할 것입니다. 즉, 말씀을 배우지 않은 사람들에게도 말씀을 가르친다는 뜻입니다. 따라서, 당신이 남성이든 여성이든 상관없이 가서 복음을 전하십시오. 능력으로 말씀을 전하고, 그 누구도 자신의 무지로 당신을 멈추게 하지 마십시오. 전도자 빌립의 네 딸들은 예언했습니다. “그 다음날 바울과 일행인 우리는 출발하여 카이사랴에 와서 일곱 명 중 한 사람인 전도자 빌립의 집에 들어가 그와 함께 머물렀는데 이 사람에게는 딸 넷이 있으니 이들은 예언하는 처녀들이더라.”(행 21:8-9, 한글킹제임스)

고백

나는 내가 누구인지 압니다! 나는 아브라함의 씨이며 이 생명 안에서 다스리고 통치합니다. 나는 그리스도 안에 있으므로 한계가 없으며 나를 막을 수 없습니다. 그리고 나는 매일 이러한 의식 안에서 행합니다. 나는 그리스도와 함께 한 공동 상속자입니다. 따라서 만물은 나의 것입니다.

THE SAME RIGHTS IN CHRIST

“…there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus”(Galatians 3:28).

In certain places around the world, it is said that women ought not to preach. But the Bible doesn’t say that. Rather, the Bible says as new creatures, we’re all one in Jesus Christ. In the Law, there were certain rights that men had that women didn’t have. But now in Christ Jesus, we’re all one. Hallelujah!

This means there are no limits to the woman as it was in the Law. The only time you’ll have a difference between a man and a woman in Christ is if they’re married. The Bible addresses the wife separately from her husband. But as long as a man and a woman are unmarried, they’re entitled to the same rights in Christ.

Someone might say, “But in the New Testament, the Bible says, ‘But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence’ (1 Timothy 2:12). Isn’t this referring to Christian women?” If you read the verse in context, you’ll discover that it’s referring only to married people. The next verse says, “For Adam was first formed, then Eve” (1 Timothy 2:13), meaning that it was looking at the context of marriage.

Now, when it says a wife shouldn’t teach her husband, the actual rendering means “to instruct” or “to dictate to” her husband. He didn’t mean she couldn’t explain or guide the other into knowledge. Also remember that these are the last days the Prophet Joel wrote about: “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy…” (Joel 2:28).

To prophesy means to speak words of power, words that come from the Kingdom of God. Of course, they won’t just be speaking these words to themselves alone; they’ll also speak them to the unlearned. That means they’ll be teaching the unlearned the Word. So you see, it makes no difference whether you’re a man or a woman; go ahead and preach the Gospel everywhere. Preach the Word with power, and don’t let anyone stop you out of their ignorance. The four daughters of Philip the evangelist prophesied: “…the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy” (Acts 21:8-9).

CONFESSION

I know who I am! I’m Abraham’s seed and I reign and rule in this life. I’m unlimited and unstoppable because I’m in Christ, and I walk daily in this consciousness. I’m a joint-heir with Christ; therefore, all things are mine.

성령 안에서 행하십시오

Walk In the Spirit

“만일 우리가 성령으로 살면 또한 성령으로 행할지니”(갈 5:25)

기독교에서 우리의 일상적인 삶은 성령 안에서 행하는 것입니다. 성령으로 행하는 것은 믿음으로 행하는 것입니다(고후 5:7). 이는 우리의 눈이 항상 말씀이 말하는 바에 있고, 상황이나 느낌 혹은 감각들이 우리에게 말해주는 것에 있지 않다는 뜻입니다.

아담이 에덴동산에서 죄를 범했을 때, 그의 영은 그의 감각에 종속되었습니다. 즉, 그의 영이 타락한 것입니다. 그때까지 그의 지식은 영적이었지만 하나님께 불순종함으로 타락했을 때 그는 그의 감각에 종속된 것입니다. 그리고 하나님께서는 그것에 대해 경고하셨었습니다. “선악을 알게 하는 나무의 열매는 먹지 말라 네가 먹는 날에는 반드시 죽으리라 하시니라”(창 2:17) 이것은 영적 죽음이었습니다!

아담이 선악과를 먹었고 그는 죽었습니다. 그는 즉시 하나님으로부터 분리되었습니다. 아담은 그전에는 하나님의 임재 안에 있는 것을 사모했지만, 그의 불순종 이후에는 그 동일한 임재로부터 숨어버렸습니다(창 3:9-11).

여기에는 당신이 잘 알아야 하는 매우 중요한 두 가지 내용이 있습니다. 첫번째는 영적 죽음이 그를 하나님으로부터 분리되게 했다는 것입니다. 하나님은 생명이십니다. 인간이 그분으로부터 분리되면 그는 더 이상 하나님이 보시는 것을 볼 수 없게 됩니다. 그는 하나님의 영광을 볼 수 없습니다. 아담이 나중에 자신이 벗은 것을 보게 된 것은 당연합니다.

당신이 성령 안에서 행할 때, 당신은 하나님의 영광, 그분의 빛, 그분의 아름다움을 봅니다. 당신은 하나님이 보시는 것들을 봅니다. 당신은 그분의 관점으로 봅니다. 그러나 당신의 영이 하나님의 빛 안에서 걷고 있지 않다면 당신은 어둠이 당신에게 보여주는 것을 보게 될 것입니다. 당신의 감각이 보는 것을 보게 될 것입니다. 그것이 에덴 동산에서 아담에게 일어난 일이었습니다.

로마서 9:8은 말합니다. “곧 육신의 자녀가 하나님의 자녀가 아니요…” 육신의 자녀는 감각에 지배되는 사람들입니다. 그러나 하나님께 감사드립니다! 첫 아담과의 연결고리는 완전히, 영원히 끊어졌습니다. 당신은 하늘의 주님으로부터 태어났습니다. 그러므로 그에 합당하게 성령 안에서, 성령으로 행하십시오.

만일 성령 안에서 행한다면 당신은 자신이 이 세상의 요소들과 실패, 좌절, 어둠, 부패를 이겼음을 보게 될 것입니다. 당신은 자신이 이 세상보다 더 큰 하늘의 영역에서 왔고, 그 안에 살고 있다는 것을 보게 될 것입니다.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 내 믿음이 세상을 이기는 승리라는 것에 감사를 드립니다! 나는 상황이나 환경을 자연적인 관점이나 내 오감으로 판단하지 않고 그것들을 당신의 말씀의 관점으로 봅니다. 나는 이 세상에서 피해자가 아닙니다. 나는 그리스도 안에서 승리자입니다. 할렐루야!

WALK IN THE SPIRIT

“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit”(Galatians 5:25).

Our normal life in Christianity is walking in the spirit. To walk in the spirit is to walk by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7). That means our eyes are always on what the Word says, not on circumstances or feelings; not what the senses tell us.

When man committed high treason in the Garden of Eden, his spirit became subject to his senses: in other words, his spirit fell. Hitherto, his knowledge was spiritual, but when he fell through his disobedience to God, he became subject to his senses and this was what God warned him about: “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:17). This was spiritual death!

Man ate of the tree, and he died. He was separated from God instantly. Prior to that time, Adam loved to be in the presence of God, but after his disobedience, he hid himself from that same presence (Genesis 3:9-11). God is life; and once a man is separated from Him, he can’t see the things that God sees anymore; he can’t see the glory of God. No wonder Adam saw himself naked afterwards.

When you’re walking in the spirit, you see the glory of God, His light, His beauty; you see the things that God sees; you see from His perspective. But when your spirit isn’t walking in the light of God, you’ll see what darkness shows you; you’ll see what the senses see. That’s what happened to Adam in the garden.

Romans 9:8 says, “…They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God….” The children of the flesh are those who are ruled by their senses. But thanks be unto God! Your ties with the first Adam have been severed completely and forever. You’re born after the Lord from heaven, and should walk accordingly—in and by the Spirit.

If you walk in the spirit, you’ll see that you’ve been put over the elements, failures, frustrations, darkness, and corruption in this physical world. You’ll see that you live in, and are from, another realm, a heavenly realm that’s greater than this world. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for my faith is the victory that overcomes this world. I don’t judge situations or circumstances from the natural standpoint or from my five senses, but I see them from the perspective of your Word. I’m not a victim in this world, but a victor in Christ. Hallelujah!

하나님은 가장 뛰어난 사람만 선택하시는 분이 아닙니다

He Doesn’t Always Go For The Most Qualified

“그러나 하나님께서 세상의 미련한 것들을 택하사 지혜 있는 자들을 부끄럽게 하려 하시고 세상의 약한 것들을 택하사 강한 것들을 부끄럽게 하려 하시며”(고전 1:27)

몇 년 전, 주님은 청소년이던 저에게 말씀하셨습니다. 그것은 제가 하나님의 음성을 개인적으로 들었던 첫번째 경험이었습니다. 그분은 저에게 “나는 네가 나의 사람들을 그들의 유업 안으로 이끌어 주기를 원한다”고 말씀하셨습니다. 그 당시에 저는 유업에 대해 아는 것이 하나도 없는 상태였습니다. 저는 이제 막 시작한 사람일 뿐이었습니다! 그 누구도 저에게 그리스도 안에 유업을 가지고 있다고 가르쳐주지 않았습니다.

교회에서 우리는 경건과 사랑으로 하나님을 섬기는 것과 아름다운 성경 속 이야기들에 대해 많이 배웠지만, 그리스도 안에 있는 유업에 대해 말해준 사람은 없었습니다. 그러나 하나님께서 저에게 “나는 네가 나의 사람들을 그들의 유업 안으로 데려가기 원한다.”고 말씀하셨을 때, 저는 그냥 받아들였습니다. 저는 그 지시가 무슨 의미인지 이해하지 못했지만 단순히 그분을 믿었습니다. 저는 그분이 그에 대해 보여주실 것을 알았고, 실제로 보여주셨습니다. 그 이후로 저는 그 지시를 따라 살고 있습니다.

제가 주님을 경험한 것은 사도 바울이 에베소서 3:8에서 말한 것과 매우 비슷합니다. “모든 성도들 (하나님의 구별된 사람들) 가운데서 가장 작은 자보다도 더 작은 나에게 이 은혜 (호의,특권)을 주신 것은 이방인들 가운데 헤아릴 수 없는 (무한한, 측량할 수 없는, 헤아릴 수 없는 그리고 무궁무진한) 그리스도의 풍요함 [어떤 인간도 찾아낼 수 없는 부]를 전파하게 하려는 것이라.”

생각해 보십시오. 만일 하나님께서 가장 자격 있는 사람들을 찾고 계셨다면, 예수님은 가이사르 가문에서 태어나 궁궐에서 자라셨어야 하겠지만 그러지 않으셨습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “형제들아 너희를 부르심을 보라 육체를 따라 지혜로운 자가 많지 아니하며 능한 자가 많지 아니하며 문벌 좋은 자가 많지 아니하도다…”(고전 1:26-27)

고린도후서 3:5은 말합니다. “우리가 무슨 일이든지 우리에게서 난 것 같이 스스로 만족할 것이 아니니 우리의 만족은 오직 하나님으로부터 나느니라”(고후 3:5) 이 구절에 등장하는 “만족”이라는 단어는 능숙함 혹은 능력으로도 번역될 수 있습니다. 그분께서 당신을 부르시고 당신이 그분의 일을 수행할 수 있도록 초자연적인 능력을 주셨습니다. 절대 자신을 낮게 여기거나 당신에게 특별한 것이 없다고 생각하지 마십시오. 그분께서 당신을 유능하게 만드셨습니다. 그러므로 당신의 물리적인 능력 그 이상을 보십시오. 항상 당신이 그분께 특별하다는 점과 그분께서 당신의 삶을 향한 그분의 부르심을 성취하도록 신성한 능력을 주셨음을 기억하십시오.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나를 사랑하시고 당신의 영광을 위해 나의 삶을 계획해 주셔서 감사합니다. 하나님께서 나를 그분의 특별한 사역을 위해 구별하셨고, 영광스러운 복음을 나에게 맡겨 주셨습니다. 나를 통해 많은 사람들이 그리스도를 아는 지식과 그분 안에 있는 유업에 이르게 될 것입니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HE DOESN’T ALWAYS GO FOR THE MOST QUALIFIED

“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty”(1 Corinthians 1:27).

Many years ago, the Lord spoke to me as a young teenager. This was my very first time of hearing personally from God. He said to me, “I want you to take my people into their inheritance.” At that stage of my life, I knew nothing about any inheritance; I was just a beginner! No one had taught me that we had any inheritance in Christ.

In children’s church, we learnt about serving God with reverence and love, and many beautiful Bible stories, but no one ever mentioned an inheritance in Christ. However, when God said to me, “I want you to take my people into their inheritance,” I just accepted. I simply believed Him without understanding what the instruction was about. I knew He would have to show me what it was, and He did; and I’ve been about it ever since.

My experience with the Lord very much mirrors what Paul the Apostle said in Ephesians 3:8: “To me, though I am the very least of all the saints (God’s consecrated people), this grace (favor, privilege) was granted and graciously entrusted: to proclaim to the Gentiles the unending (boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless) riches of Christ [wealth which no human being could have searched out” (AMPC).

Think about it: If He was looking for the most qualified people, Jesus should have been born of Caesar and brought up in a palace, but He wasn’t. The Bible says, “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called” (1 Corinthians 1:26).

2 Corinthians 3:5 says, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.” The word “sufficiency” can also be translated as competence or ability. He’s the One who has called you and endued you with supernatural ability to carry out His work. Never look down on yourself or think there’s nothing special about you. He’s made you competent; so, look beyond your physical ability. Always remember that you’re special to Him, and He’s divinely enabled you to fulfil His calling on your life

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for loving me and planning my life for your glory. You set me apart for your special work and committed the glorious Gospel to my trust. Through me, many will come to the knowledge of Christ and into their inheritance in Him, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

수년 전, 저는 많은 반대에 부딪혔습니다. 저는 요동하지 않고 하나님께서 저에게 말씀하신 바에 집중했습니다. 그분은 “담대하라. 나는 너를 실망시키지 않는다. 그리고 나는 너를 버리지 않는다.”고 말씀하셨습니다. 이는 하나님께 받은 지시였습니다. 따라서 누가 저를 대적하든지 혹은 제 주변에 무슨 일이 일어나든지 상관이 없었습니다. 저는 신경 쓸 필요가 없었습니다. 두려워할 필요가 없었습니다. 성령의 능력으로 저는 용기를 얻어 인내했고 지금까지도 그래왔습니다.

하나님께서는 지금 문제가 있다는 것을 아시기 때문에 당신에게 담대 하라고 말씀하시는 것입니다. 그분은 어떤 일들이 당신을 겁먹게 하고, 낙담케 하고, 단념케 하려 한다는 것을 아십니다. 그래서 그분은 “담대하라”고 말씀하십니다. 저는 하나님께서 말씀하신 바를 행하기로 결단했으므로 담대 하려고 했습니다.

성경은 “사울이 힘을 더 얻어…” 라고 말합니다. “힘을 더 얻는다”는 것은 사울이 그럴 수 있도록 주님께서 힘을 주셨다는 뜻입니다. 그리스어는 이를 “강하게 만들다” 라고 실제적으로 표현합니다. 그는 힘을 더 얻었으며 그 힘은 내면의 힘이었습니다. 그는 더 많은 것을 성취할 수 있도록 안으로부터 힘을 받았습니다. 바로 이것이 주님께서 그분의 자녀들에게 하시는 일입니다. 그분은 당신을 안으로부터 강건하게 하십니다.

당신이 힘을 더 얻을수록 영광도 더해집니다. 마지막 때에 예수 그리스도의 복음에 대해서도 동일한 일들이 일어나고 있습니다. 복음은 힘을 더 얻고 있고 영광도 더해지고 있습니다. 우리는 오늘날 말씀의 실재가 각국의 언어로 번역되어 수백만 명의 사람들에게 전달되고 있는 특별한 시기에 살고 있습니다. 수백만 개의 사역이 땅 끝까지 복음을 전한다는 공통 목표를 위해 우리와 함께 동역하고 있습니다!

이런 종류의 일은 그 누구도 계획할 수 없던 일입니다. 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜로 일어나는 일입니다. 그 은혜가 지금껏 당신이 주님을 위해 행했던 일들보다 더 많은 일을 성취하기 위해 오늘 당신 안에서 역사하고 있습니다. 두려워하지 마십시오. 흔들리지 마십시오. 당신은 상황에 잘 대처하여 승리할 것입니다. 당신은 안으로부터 힘을 얻기 때문입니다. 할렐루야!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 내 안에 역사하는 당신의 초자연적인 은혜에 감사드립니다. 나는 오늘 당신의 성령으로 인해 생산성과 효율성이 증진되도록 힘을 얻습니다. 내 안에서 강력하게 역사하시는 당신의 영으로 말미암아 내 삶이 당신의 완전한 뜻과 일치되도록 나는 상황을 바꾸고 모든 것을 할 수 있습니다. 할렐루야!

INCREASING IN STRENGTH AND GLORY

“But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ”(Acts 9:22).

Years ago, while I was having a lot of opposition, I set my face like a flint and focused on something God had told me. He said, “Be courageous; I will not fail you, and I will not forsake you.” It was an instruction from God. Therefore, it made no difference who was against me or what was happening around me; I couldn’t be bothered. There wasn’t going to be any fear. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, I was endued with courage and I’ve been ever since.

When God tells you to be courageous, it’s because He knows there’s trouble out there. He knows some things will try to frighten you, discourage you and dissuade you; so He says, “Be courageous.” I made up my mind that I was going to do what God said; I was going to be very courageous.

Our theme verse says, “Saul increased the more in strength….” To increase in strength means that the Lord enabled him. The Greek actually expresses it as “to be made strong.” He was increased in strength; this is an inner strength. He was empowered from within to be able to accomplish more. This is what the Lord does for His children; He strengthens you from within.

As you increase in strength, you increase in glory. This is what has happened with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in these last days: it has increased in strength and it has increased in glory. We’re in a special time in the world today with Rhapsody of Realities reaching billions of people in their native language. Millions of ministries are partnering together with us for the common goal of taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth!

These aren’t the kinds of things anyone could have planned. They’re happening by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. That grace is at work in you today to accomplish more than you’ve ever done for the Lord. You won’t be afraid; you won’t falter. You’ll rise up to the occasion and win, because you’re empowered from within. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your supernatural grace that’s at work in me. I’m strengthened and energized for increased productivity and greater effectiveness by your Spirit today. I can do all things and change the circumstances of my life to conform to your perfect will for me through your Spirit that’s at work in me mightily. Hallelujah!

The Teacher In You

“너희는 주께 받은 바 기름 부음이 너희 안에 거하나니 아무도 너희를 가르칠 필요가 없고 오직 그의 기름 부음이 모든 것을 너희에게 가르치며 또 참되고 거짓이 없으니 너희를 가르치신 그대로 주 안에 거하라”(요일 2:27)

오늘날 존재하는 수많은 성경 번역본들 중, 무슨 번역본이 가장 정확한지 어떻게 알 수 있을까요? 때때로 일부 번역본들이 같은 내용을 다르게 말해서 혼란스럽기도 합니다. 그리고 어떤 때에는 동일한 내용에 대해 반대로 말해서 이해하기 정말 어렵기도 합니다. 어떤 번역본은 특정 구절을 질문하는 문장으로 번역하고, 다른 번역본은 긍정문으로 번역하기도 합니다. 그래서 당신은 “어떤 번역이 맞는 것이죠?” 하고 궁금해집니다.

성경 해석에 관한 여러 규칙들이 있지만, 그 규칙들은 대부분 학문적인 내용입니다. 당신이 그러한 학문적인 규칙들을 사용한다면, 당신은 신학자들 만큼만 해석을 하게 될 것입니다. 신학적인 설명을 아는 것은 좋지만 이미 성경에 대해 다르거나 미심쩍은 해석을 가지고 있는 사람들보다 나을 것은 없을 것입니다. 그렇다면 남은 질문은 다음과 같습니다. “당신은 어떻게 실제 진리를 알 수 있습니까?”

성령님은 성경의 저자이십니다. 성령이 우리에게 성경을 주셨기 때문에 그분은 성경에 있는 모든 것을 아십니다. 성경은 말합니다. “모든 성경은 하나님의 감동으로 된 것으로…”(딤후 3:16) 그 하나님이 성령님이십니다. 그분은 우리 안에 사시며, 우리 안에서 그분의 사역을 수행하십니다.

성경은 말합니다. “우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님, 영광의 아버지께서 자기를 아는 지식 안에서 지혜와 계시의 영을 너희에게 주시어 너희의 지성의 눈을 밝히셔서 너희로 하여금 그의 부르심의 소망이 무엇이며 성도들 안에 있는 그의 유업의 영광의 풍성함이 무엇인지”(엡 1:17-18, 한글킹제임스) 성령님은 우리의 지성의 눈을 밝혀 주시고 성경 안에 있는 신비와 비밀들을 알려주십니다.

성령님은 지식의 영이십니다. 그분은 모든 것을 알고 계시며 우리에게 모든 것을 가르쳐 주셔서 우리가 삶에서 일어나는 모든 일들을 지혜롭게 감당할 수 있게 하십니다. 그분과의 교제를 더욱 진지하게 받아들이십시오. 그분은 당신이 생각하지 못했던 방식으로 당신의 영에 그분의 진리를 밝혀 주실 것입니다

고백

나는 인생의 갈림길에 서 있지 않을 것입니다. 선생님이 내 안에 사시며 내 영에 진리를 밝혀 주시기 때문입니다. 그분은 나에게 그저 몇 가지가 아닌 모든 것을 가르쳐 주십니다. 그분은 내가 생명과 경건에 대해 알아야 할 모든 것을 알려주십니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

THE TEACHER IN YOU

“But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him”(1 John 2:27).

In the light of so many different Bible translations today, how can one know which is most accurate? Sometimes, some of them say the same things differently and that’s tricky enough; but at other times, they say opposite things and it becomes really tough. One might put a verse in a question form, while another puts it in the affirmative. So it makes you wonder: Which is right?

There are several rules for scripture interpretation, but those rules are mostly academic. When you use these academic rules, you’ll only be as good as the theologians can be. Having a theological explanation is good, but you won’t be any better than those who already have different or questionable interpretations of the Scriptures. The question then would be: How do you know the actual truth?

The Holy Spirit is the author of the Scriptures. He knows everything in the Scriptures because He gave them to us. The Bible says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” (2 Timothy 3:16); that God is the Holy Spirit. He lives in us and carries out His ministry inside us.

The Bible says, “…the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints” (Ephesians 1:17-18). The Holy Spirit is the One who opens the eyes of our understanding, unveiling mysteries and secrets to us in the Scriptures. He’s the Spirit of knowledge; He knows all things and teaches us all things so that we can deal wisely in all affairs of life. Take your fellowship with Him more seriously; He’ll unveil His truths to your spirit in ways you never thought possible.

CONFESSION

I’ll never be at a crossroads in life because the Teacher lives in me and unveils truths to my spirit. He teaches me, not some things, but all things— everything I need to know about life and godliness. Glory to God!
