위기의 날에 갖는 담대함
Boldness In The Day Of Crisis
“이로써 사랑이 우리에게 온전히 이루어진 것은 우리로 심판 날에 담대함을 가지게 하려 함이니 주께서 그러하심과 같이 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하니라”(요일 4:17)
수년 전 어떤 그리스도인 형제가 사이비 집단에 납치를 당했습니다. 납치범의 소굴에 도착했을 때 그 형제는 참수당한 사람들의 해골을 볼 수 있었습니다. 그리고 도착한 지 얼마 지나지 않아 그 집단에서 의식을 담당하는 자들이 포로로 잡혀온 사람들을 차례대로 도살장으로 부르기 시작했습니다.
그 형제는 즉시 방언으로 말하기 시작했습니다. 그가 방언으로 말하기 시작하자 사이비 집단의 한 사람이 그를 조용히 시키려고 다가왔지만 그는 더 크게 방언으로 기도했습니다. 모든 사람들이 두려움에 휩싸였을 때 그는 방언으로 기도했습니다! 곧 사이비 집단은 혼란에 빠졌고 그들은 그 형제를 쫓아냈습니다. 그 형제는 풀려났습니다.
그 형제의 경험은 당신이 성령으로 충만할 때 어떤 일이 일어나는지 보여줍니다. 당신은 담대 해집니다! 문제가 발생하는 순간 성령의 능력이 당신 안에서 일어납니다. 그러면 퍼부어지는 신성한 힘 가운데 말들이 당신에게서 나올 것입니다.
성령의 충만함 안에서 승리는 보장되어 있습니다. 어려움이 발생할 때 당신은 준비되어 있습니다. 당신은 위기의 날에 담대합니다. 심판이라는 단어는 그리스어 “크리시스(krisis)”에서 유래했으며, 이 단어에서 영어 “위기(crisis)”가 파생되었습니다. 이는 극심한 어려움 혹은 위험의 시기를 뜻합니다.
어떤 그리스도인이 버스를 타고 여행하는 중에 끔찍한 사고가 발생해서 그 사람을 포함해 버스에 탄 모든 사람이 죽었다는 소식을 들은 적이 있습니다. 그 그리스도인도 버스에 탄 사람들과 함께 죽었어야 했습니까? 아닙니다! 그는 위기의 때에 담대했어야 합니다.
그는 그 순간에 “나는 예수님의 이름으로 보호됩니다! 나는 죽지 않습니다!”라고 선포할 수도 있었습니다. 그가 버스를 타기 전에 이미 기도했으므로, 사실 그는 어떤 말도 할 필요가 없었을 수도 있습니다. 성경은 우리가 위기의 날에 소리친다고 말하고 있지 않습니다. 우리는 위기의 날에 담대함을 가진다고 말합니다. 당신은 상황이나 위기와 상관없이 성령의 담대함으로 승리할 것입니다. 할렐루야!
고백
나는 담대함과 부인할 수 없는 믿음으로 삶을 다스립니다. 어떤 일을 마주하든지 나는 염려하거나 두려워하기를 거절합니다. 나는 상황에 대해 평안과 고요함을 선포합니다. 나는 삶을 직면하여 승리할 수 있는 담대함과 확신을 가지고 있습니다. 내 안에 계신 분이 세상에 있는 자보다 크시기 때문입니다. 할렐루야!

BOLDNESS IN THE DAY OF CRISIS
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
A few years ago, a certain Christian brother was kidnapped by a cult. When they arrived at the kidnappers’ shrine, he saw the skulls of several people who had been beheaded; and shortly after their arrival, the ritualists began to call their latest captives one after the other to the slaughter slab.
Suddenly, the brother began to speak in other tongues. As he spoke in tongues, one of the ritualists came to shut him up, but he spoke in tongues even louder. While everyone else was enveloped in fear, he spoke out in tongues! Soon enough, pandemonium erupted amongst the ritualists and they kicked him out of their midst. He was freed.
That brother’s experience reveals what happens when you’re full of the Spirit; you’re bold! At that moment when trouble strikes, the power of the Holy Spirit would rise in you; words will come out of you in torrents of divine energy.
Victory is assured in the fullness of the Spirit. When trouble comes, you’re ready; you’re bold in the day of crisis. The word “judgment” is from the Greek word, “krisis”—the derivative of the English word “crisis.” It depicts a time of intense difficulty or danger.
There have been times when it was said that a Christian was travelling in a bus, and there was a terrible accident, and everybody died. Was the Christian supposed to die with them? No! He was supposed to have boldness in the time of crisis.
He could have declared at that moment, “In the Name of Jesus, I’m preserved! I don’t die!” He may not even need to say anything at all, because he was already prayed up before he got on the bus. The Bible doesn’t say, “…that we may shout in the day of crisis”; no, it says we may have boldness in the day of crisis. With that boldness of the Spirit, you’ll prevail, irrespective of the circumstances or crisis. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
With boldness and an undeniable faith, I reign in this life. It makes no difference what I face, I refuse to be anxious or afraid. I declare peace and calmness over circumstances; I’m bold and confident to face life and win, because greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world. Hallelujah!
