Know Who You Are
“그들은 알지도 못하고 깨닫지도 못하여 흑암 중에 왕래하니 땅의 모든 터가 흔들리도다”(시 82:5)
삶에서 피해자로 살아가는 많은 사람들은 사실 마귀 때문이 아니라 그들의 무지로 인해 피해자로 살아갑니다. 하나님은 호세아 4:6에서 “내 백성이 지식이 없으므로 망하는도다”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 하나님은 그분의 백성들이 마귀로 인해 망한다고 하지 않으셨습니다.
생각해 보십시오. 어떤 질병도 당신의 몸에 자리잡을 수 없다는 것을 당신이 안다면 어떻게 아플 수 있겠습니까? 만일 당신이 실패할 수 없고, 패배하거나 파괴될 수 없는 생명을 가지고 있다는 것을 발견한다면 이 사실이 당신의 사고방식에 어떤 영향을 주겠습니까? 아마 당신 자신에 대해 훨씬 더 긍정적인 인식을 갖게 될 것입니다. 수년 전에 저는 하나님의 말씀에서 이러한 진리를 발견했습니다. 그러나 많은 사람들이 이 진리를 잘 알지 못하기 때문에 자연적 감각들과 육신의 기준으로 스스로의 삶을 판단합니다.
당신의 삶은 당신이 가지고 있는 정보에 기반합니다. 당신의 삶의 기준은 당신의 지식에 제한을 받습니다. 그 누구도 자신이 가지고 있는 지식의 수준 이상으로 살지 못합니다. 당신이 하나님의 말씀의 지식을 가지고 있다면 당신의 삶에서 변화를 일으킬 것입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절은 말합니다. “그들이 알지도 못하고 깨닫지도 못하며 흑암 중에 왕래하니…” 하나님의 자녀들 중 일부 사람들이 삶에서 고통을 받고 고군분투하는 이유가 바로 이것 때문입니다. 그들은 새로운 피조물이 실제로 어떤 존재인지 모르고 있습니다.
당신이 말씀의 실재와 그리스도 안에 있는 당신의 정체성을 깨닫게 되면, 즉시 당신은 완전한 확신과 자유의 위치에 도달하게 되어 세상이 당신의 삶을 좌우할 수 없다는 것을 깨닫게 됩니다. 당신은 결핍 의식이 전혀 없었던 예수님과 같아집니다. 그것이 바로 예수님이 우리에게 가져오신 생명입니다. 당신이 말씀을 공부하고 묵상할 때 그리스도 안에 있는 당신의 유업을 발견할 뿐 아니라 그분 안에서 하나님이 당신에게 주신 모든 것들을 누리는 믿음을 받게 됩니다. 그분의 이름에 영원히 영광을 드립니다!
고백
내 심령은 지식과 영적인 이해로 넘칩니다. 나는 내가 누구인지 압니다. 나는 하나님의 상속자이며 그리스도와 함께 한 공동 상속자입니다. 나는 내가 누구인지와 그리스도 안에서 나에게 속한 유업이 무엇인지 압니다. 나는 결핍이나 아픔, 질병, 패배, 그리고 이 세상의 기본보다 높은 차원의 삶을 삽니다. 내 삶은 위로만 앞으로만 가고, 영광에서 영광으로, 믿음에서 믿음으로, 은혜에서 은혜로만 나아갑니다! 아멘.

KNOW WHO YOU ARE
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course (Psalm 82:5).
Many who are victims in life are actually not victims of the devil but of ignorance. In Hosea 4:6, God said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge….” He didn’t say His people are destroyed by the devil.
Think about it: what would you do or how would you live if you discovered that no sickness could actually fasten itself to your body? If you found out that you have a life that’s incapable of failure, a life that can’t be defeated or destroyed; how would that affect your mentality? It’ll most certainly change your appreciation of yourself. These were my discoveries in the Word of God many years ago. But many aren’t acquainted with these truths, and as a result, they measure their lives on the basis of the flesh; what they perceive with their natural senses.
Your life is based on the information that you have. Your standard of life is limited to your knowledge. No one ever lived beyond the level of his nowledge. If you have the knowledge of God’s Word, it’ll make the difference in your life. Our theme verse says, “They know not, neither will they nderstand; they walk on in darkness….” This is the reason some of God’s children are suffering and struggling in life. They don’t know who the new creation really is.
When the reality of the Word and who you are in Christ dawns on you, you suddenly come to a place of absolute confidence and independence, where you realize that the world doesn’t determine what happens with you. You become like Jesus, who had no sense of need. That’s the life He came to give us; and as you study and meditate on the Word, not only do you discover your inheritance in Christ, you also receive the faith to relate with, and enjoy all that God has made available to you in Him. Glory to His Name forever!
CONFESSION
My heart is flooded with knowledge and spiritual understanding. I know who I am; an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ. I know what belongs to me in Christ. I live above lack, sickness, disease, defeat and all the rudiments of this world. My life is upward and forward only, from glory to glory, from faith to faith, and from grace to grace! Amen.
