“그런즉 너희는 하나님께 복종할지어다 마귀를 대적하라 그리하면 너희를 피하리라”(약 4:7)
에베소서 4장 27절에서 우리의 적인 마귀에게 틈을 주지 말라고 말하는 데는 이유가 있습니다. 마귀는 극도로 악랄하고 필사적으로 악합니다. 그에게는 결코 자비가 없습니다. 그러므로 마귀에게 공세를 취하고, 그를 대적하십시오. 그를 자유롭게 내버려 두지 마십시오. 그를 쫓아내십시오. 만약 그를 내버려 둔다면 그가 어디까지 갈지 알 수 없습니다. 말씀은 우리에게 “마귀에게 틈을 주지 말라”(엡 4:27)고 명합니다.
사탄은 공정하게 행동하지 않습니다. 우리는 그가 욥과 한 거래에서 그의 사악함을 확인할 수 있습니다. 욥이 그의 부정적인 고백으로 자신의 울타리를 부수자 마자 사탄은 행동에 나서서 단번에 욥이 그의 모든 재산을 잃게 했습니다. 욥이 모든 재산을 잃은 것에 대해 여전히 슬퍼하고 있을 때, 성경이 말하기를 “…또 한 사람이 와서 아뢰되 주인의 자녀들이 그들의 맏아들의 집에서 음식을 먹으며 포도주를 마시는데 거친 들에서 큰 바람이 와서 집 네 모퉁이를 치매 그 청년들 위에 무너지므로 그들이 죽었나이다 나만 홀로 피하였으므로 주인께 아뢰러 왔나이다 한지라”(욥 1:18-19) 욥은 사탄의 한 번의 공격으로 모든 자녀와 재산을 잃었습니다.
욥은 자신을 맹렬히 공격한 자가 마귀라는 것을 모르고 있었습니다. 그는 하나님께서 그 일을 하셨다고 생각하여 이렇게 말했습니다. “내가 모태에서 알몸으로 나왔사온즉 또한 알몸이 그리로 돌아가올지라 주신 이도 여호와시요 거두신 이도 여호와시오니 여호와의 이름이 찬송을 받으실지니이다”(욥 1:21)
아직도 많은 그리스도인들이 욥과 같은 실수를 범합니다. 그들은 사탄에게 고통 당하고 있음에도 그것이 하나님의 뜻이라고 생각합니다. 그렇지 않습니다! 당신을 향한 하나님의 뜻은 그분의 영광 가운데 살고 신성한 건강, 평안, 부요, 기쁨 안에서 사는 것입니다. 그리고 그분은 예수 그리스도의 죽음과 장사됨과 부활로 그것을 확정하셨습니다. 그러므로 마귀가 당신의 건강, 기쁨, 번영, 평안 등을 망치는 것을 멈추게 하십시오. 당신이 해야 할 전부는 마귀에게 아니라고 말하고, 하나님의 빛 가운데 사는 것입니다.
성경은 우리가 사탄의 계략을 모르지 않는다고 말합니다(고후 2:11). 그가 나타날 때마다 그에게 틈을 주지 마십시오. 그가 당신의 그 무엇도 가져가도록 내버려두지 마십시오. 주 예수님께서 말씀하셨습니다. “…내 이름으로 그들이 마귀들을 쫓아내고…”(막 16:17, 한글킹제임스) 신속하게 그를 쫓아내고, 당신의 삶과 가족과 환경 가운데 사탄이 하는 일들을 쓸모 없게 만드십시오.

사랑하는 아버지, 마귀와 그의 세력을 저지할 수 있는 권한을 제게 부여해 주셔서 감사합니다. 나는 내 환경 속에 있는 그들의 악하고, 잔인하고, 고약한 일들을 끝내버립니다. 그리고 오직 당신의 평안과 부요가 나와 내 주위를 다스린다고 선언합니다. 저에게 사탄과 어둠의 권세에 대한 통치권을 주시니 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Keep Satan In Check
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
It isn’t for nothing that the Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:27 not to give place to Satan, our adversary. He’s extremely vicious and desperately wicked. He operates absolutely without mercy. Therefore, you must be on the offensive against him and keep him in check. Never be casual with him; cast him out, because there’s no telling how far he’d go if you let him. The Word enjoins us to “neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27).
Satan doesn’t play fair. We see his viciousness in his dealings with Job. Soon as job broke the hedge with his negative confessions, Satan swung into action, and in one swoop, he ruined all of Job’s businesses. While Job was still bemoaning the loss of his entire wealth, the Bible says, “…there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.” (Job 1:18-19). Job lost all his children and businesses in one attack of Satan.
Job was ignorant that the devil was the one on the onslaught against him; he thought it was God and he responded, “Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD” (Job 1:23).
This is the same mistake a lot of Christians still make today; they’re being afflicted by Satan, and they think it’s the will of God; no, it’s not! God’s will is for you to live in His glory, walking in divine health, peace, abundance, and joy, and He sealed it by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Therefore, stop the devil from messing with your health, your joy, your prosperity, your peace, etc.; all you have to do is say no to him, and walk in God’s light.
The Bible says we’re not ignorant of Satan’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). Whenever he shows up, give him no place. Don’t let him take anything that’s yours. The Lord Jesus said, “…In my name shall they cast out devils…” (Mark 16:17). Be quick to cast him out and paralyze his activities in your life, your family, and environment.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for the authority you’ve vested in me to keep the devil and his cohorts in check. I terminate their evil, vicious and malevolent activities in my environment, and declare that only your peace and prosperity reign in, and around me; thank you for giving me dominion over satan and the powers of darkness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
