선을 행하기 위해 힘쓰십시오
Keen To Do Good
“우리가 선을 행하되 낙심하지 말지니 포기하지 아니하면 때가 이르매 거두리라”(갈 6:9)
오늘날, 다른 사람들에게 친절하게 대하지 않고, 도움을 주지 않기로 결심한 사람들이 있습니다. 어떤 이유 때문입니까? 그들은 안 좋은 경험을 가지고 있거나, 다른 사람을 도우려다 피해를 입거나 이용 당한 사람들을 봤기 때문입니다.
우리 사회가 점점 더 고통스러운 상황이 되면서, 많은 사람들이 자비와 연민의 마음을 닫았습니다. 예전에는 운전하다가도 문제가 생긴 사람을 발견하며 신속하게 그들을 돕곤 했습니다. 그러나 너무 많은 악이 세상에 팽배해진 요즘은, 많은 사람들이 낯선 사람을 돕는 것의 위험성에 대해 더 걱정합니다. 이것이 악이 하는 일입니다.
악은 많은 사람들의 심령을 강퍅하게 만들었습니다. 사람들은 다른 이들을 돕고 싶어 하지만, 그로 인해 피해를 당하기를 원하지 않습니다. 그러나 당신이 알고 있듯이 당신은 절대 선을 행하는 것을 포기해서는 안 됩니다. 누군가를 돕는 것에 주저하지 마십시오. 왜냐하면 당신 안에는 세상의 모든 악을 훨씬 능가하는 능력이 있기 때문입니다.
당신 안에 계신 분이 세상에 있는 자보다 더 크십니다. 당신은 무력하지 않습니다. 예수님을 생각해보십시오. 대제사장의 사람들이 그분을 체포하기 위해 찾아왔습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “예수께서 그 당할 일을 다 아시고 나아가 이르시되 너희가 누구를 찾느냐”(요 18:4) 그들이 “나사렛 예수라 하거늘”이라 대답하자마자 하나님의 능력이 풀어졌고 그들은 그 능력에 영향을 받게 되었습니다. 왜 그런 일이 일어났습니까?
마태복음 26장을 보면, 그 일이 일어나기 전 예수님이 겟세마네 동산에서 기도하셨고 성령님의 능력이 그분을 휘감았습니다. 그분이 “내가 그니라”라고 답하셨을 때, 그 말은 능력과 함께 선포되었습니다. 그분은 텅 빈 상태가 아니라 성령으로 충만하셨습니다. 당신도 동일합니다. 당신 안에 신성을 가지고 있으므로 당신의 말은 능력으로 충만합니다.
당신에게 필요한 것은 에베소서 5:18에 나오는 성령님의 권면입니다. “술 취하지 말라 이는 방탕한 것이니 오직 성령으로 충만함을 받으라” 당신이 성령으로 충만하다면 선을 행함으로 인해 피해를 입는 것에 대해 절대 걱정하지 않게 됩니다.
그러므로 길을 나서기 전이나 하루 일과를 시작하기 전에 성령으로 충만해지십시오! 그분은 당신의 심령에 두신 모든 선한 일들로 당신을 이끌고 인도하실 것입니다. 그 누구도 당신에게 해를 끼치거나, 당신을 막을 수 없습니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!
기도
사랑하는 주님, 나를 축복해주시고 내가 축복 그 자체가 되게 해주셔서 감사합니다. 그러므로 나는 모든 상황에서 선한 일을 행하는데 필요한 모든 것을 가지고 있습니다. 나는 선한 일을 행하는데 있어 결코 지치지 않습니다. 내가 살아가는 세상에 축복이 되도록 성령님께서 나를 인도하고 계시기 때문입니다! 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Keen To Do Good
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (Galatians 6:9).
Nowadays, there’re those who have resolved not to be kind and helpful to others anymore. Why? They’ve had bad experiences, or seen other people who have been harmed or taken advantage of, in their bid to help others.
Our societies have become increasingly cruel such that many have shut their bowels of mercy and compassion. Many years ago, if you were driving and saw someone that was stranded, you were quick to help. But because of so much evil in the world today, many are more concerned about the danger of assisting strangers. This is what evil has caused.
Evil has brought hardness of heart to many. They want to help, but they don’t want to become victims at the end. But you see, you must never give up on doing good. Never be reluctant to help, for there’s power in you that far outclasses all the power of evil in the world, put together.
Greater is He that’s in you, than He that’s in the world. You’re not helpless. Think about Jesus: The servants of the High Priest came to arrest Him, and the Bible says, “Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? (John 18:4). They said, “Jesus of Nazareth,” and immediately, the power of God was released, and they all fell under the power! Why did that happen?
Just a short while before then, in Matthew 26, Jesus had been praying in the garden of Gethsemane, and the power of the Holy Ghost was surging through His being. When He said, “I am He,” the word went forth with power. He wasn’t empty. It’s the same with you. Your words are filled with power, because you carry divinity inside you.
What you need is the Spirit’s admonition in Ephesians 5:18: “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.” When you’re filled with the Spirit, you’d never have to bother about being victimized for doing good.
Therefore, before you hit the road or get about the day’s business, get filled with the Holy Ghost! He’ll lead and guide you through all the good things He’s put in your heart to do, and no one would be able to harm or deter you. Praise God!
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for blessing me and making me a blessing, so that in every situation, I’ll always have all I need for every good work. I’m never weary of doing good, because I’m guided by the Spirit to be a blessing to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
