예수님의 이름을 사용하는 우리의 법적인 권한
Our Legal Authority To Use His Name
“너희가 내 이름으로 무엇을 구하든지 내가 행하리니 이는 아버지로 하여금 아들로 말미암아 영광을 받으시게 하려 함이라”(요14:13)
예수님께서 우리에게 그분의 이름을 사용할 수 있는 대리권을 주셨다고 말할 때, 많은 사람들은 이것이 의미하는 바를 이해하지 못합니다. “대리권”이라는 단어는 법률 용어로, 지정된 사람이 한 사람을 대신하여 행동할 수 있음을 의미합니다. 따라서 당신이 하는 모든 요청은 마치 예수님이 요청하신 것과 같습니다. 당신이 그분의 이름 안에서 요청했기 때문입니다.
사도 요한은 그의 글을 통해 예수님의 말씀을 생생하게 보여주며 우리가 그분의 이름으로 받은 법적 권위가 무엇인지 더욱 분명하게 알려줍니다. 예를 들어, 예수님은 요한복음 14:13에서 다음과 같이 말씀하셨습니다. “너희가 내 이름으로 무엇을 구하든지 내가 행하리니 이는 아버지로 하여금 아들로 말미암아 영광을 받으시게 하려 함이라. 무엇이든지 내 이름으로 구하면 내가 시행하리라.” 여기서 예수님은 그분의 이름으로 구하는 것을 말씀하셨습니다. 정말 놀랍습니다.
바울이 골로새서 3:17에서 말한 바도 동일합니다. “또 무엇을 하든지 말에나 일에나 다 주 예수의 이름으로 하고…” 요한복음 16:23(한글킹제임스)도 이에 대해 아름답게 묘사합니다. “그날에는 너희가 아무것도 내게 구하지 아니하리라. 진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 너희가 무엇이든지 내 이름으로 아버지께 구하면 그분께서 그것을 너희에게 주시리라.”
주님께서 “그날에는…”이라고 말씀하실 때, 그분은 새로운 약속의 날 곧 그분이 완성하러 오신 구원의 날을 말씀하신 것입니다. 그 날은 그분의 부활과 함께 시작되었습니다. 따라서 우리는 예수님의 이름을 사용하고 살아가는 “그날”에 속해 있습니다. 만약 당신이 전 세계적으로 우리가 기도할 때 왜 예수님의 이름을 사용하는지 궁금했다면, 이것이 바로 그 이유입니다.
그러므로 바로 지금 예수님의 이름을 사용하여 당신의 세상에 변화를 나타내십시오. 예수님은 우리에게 그렇게 하라고 말씀하셨고, 당신은 그렇게 해야 합니다! 당신의 국가, 당신의 육체, 직장, 학교 등에 있는 문제들을 예수님의 이름으로 해결하고 변화를 기대하십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나에게 비길 수 없는 예수님의 이름을 사용하여 변화를 일으키고 환경을 통제할 수 있는 대리권을 주셔서 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 나는 열방에 평화를 말합니다. 나는 복음이 세계 열방에서 자유롭게 퍼져 나갈 것을 선포합니다. 나는 오늘 그리고 항상 승리와 다스림 안에서 걷고 있습니다. 내가 모든 일을 예수님의 이름의 권능을 통해 행하며 살아가기 때문입니다. 아멘.

Our Legal Authority To Use His Name
“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it”(John 14:13).
When we say that Jesus gave us the power of attorney to use His Name, many don’t understand what this means. The term “power of attorney” refers to a legal authorization that gives a designated person the power to act on one’s behalf. It therefore means that every request you make is as though Jesus were the one making it, since you’re making it in His Name.
The Apostle John, in some of his writings, vividly captures the words of Jesus that further elucidates the legal authority we’ve been given in His Name. For example, in John 14:13, Jesus said, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” Here, the Lord was talking about making a demand in His Name. That’s extraordinary.
It’s like what Paul tells us in Colossians 3:17: “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus….” There’s another beautiful reference in John 16:23; it says, “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”
When He said, “And in that day…,” the Lord was referring to the day of the new deal—the day of salvation that He came to consummate. That day began from His resurrection. So, we’re in “that day” where we use and live in His Name. If you’ve ever wondered why, all over the world, we use the Name of Jesus in prayer, this is the reason.
So, right now, use His Name and effect changes in your world. He told us we could, and you should! Address issues in your nation, your physical body, your workplace, school etc., in His Name and expect a change.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for giving me the power of attorney to use the matchless Name of Jesus to effect changes, and control circumstances. In the Name of Jesus, I speak peace over the nations; I declare that the Gospel has free course in the nations of the world. I walk in victory and dominion today and always, because I live in, and do all things through the power in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
