말을 통한 번영
FLOURISHING THROUGH WORDS
“온순한 혀는 곧 생명 나무이지만 패역한 혀는 마음을 상하게 하느니라”(잠15:4)
당신의 진짜 성격은 말에서 드러납니다. 당신은 당신의 말과 다르지 않습니다. 당신의 말은 당신을 나타냅니다. 생각해 보십시오. 육신으로 나타나시기 전까지 예수님은 살아 계신 말씀이셨습니다. 그분은 하나님의 말씀이셨습니다. 성경에 기록된 대로 아버지께서 하신 말씀이 육신이 되셨습니다. “말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시매 우리가 그의 영광을 보니 아버지의 독생자의 영광이요…”(요1:14)
이것이 바로 당신의 말이 중요한 이유입니다. 당신의 ‘말’이 곧 ‘당신’입니다. 만약 당신의 말을 모아서 육신으로 만든다면 그 육신은 어떻게 생겼겠습니까? 당신이 보게 될 모습에 만족할 수 있습니까? 만약 만족할 수 없다면, 바꾸십시오. 당신의 인생은 하나님의 아름다움과 영광을 나타낼 수 있습니다. 말씀을 공부하고 묵상하는 것으로 시작하십시오. 말씀이 당신의 마음과 생각을 가득 채우게 하십시오. 이는 마음에 가득한 것을 입으로 말하게 되기 때문입니다(마 12:34).
건전한 말을 하십시오. 믿음 가득한 아름다운 말을 하면 당신의 인생이 그 말의 모양대로 지어질 것이고 아름다운 결과가 나타날 것입니다.
어떤 사람들은 항상 다른 사람들에게 모나고 상처주는 말을 합니다. 당신은 그렇게 말하지 마십시오. 언제나 자애로운 말을 하며 다른 사람들이 당신의 말로 말미암아 번영하도록 도우십시오.
고백
내 마음에 풍성하게 거하는 하나님의 말씀으로 말미암아 내 입이 말합니다. 내 말들은 생수의 강물입니다. 내 말들로 나는 세상을 길들이고, 환경을 바꾸며, 생명을 주고, 다른 사람을 고무시키고, 세워줍니다. 내 삶은 아름다우며, 나는 건전한 말들도 다른 사람들의 삶 또한 아름답게 만듭니다.

FLOURISHING THROUGH WORDS
“A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit”(Proverbs 15:4).
Your real personality is revealed in words; you’re no different from your words. Your words represent you. Think about this: Before Jesus was manifested in the flesh, He was the living Word; He was God’s Word. The Word that the Father spoke became flesh; as it is written “…And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory…” (John 1:14).
This is why your words are so important. Your words are “you.” If your words were capsulated and made flesh, what would that flesh look like? Will you be happy with what you see? If not, you can change it. Your life can reflect the beauty and glory of God. Begin by studying and meditating on the Word. Let the Word fill your heart and mind; for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34).
Speak wholesome words. When you speak beautiful, faith-filled words, your life takes on the shape of those words and you receive a beautiful outcome.
Some people speak ugly and hurtful words to others all the time. Let that not be your description. Be gracious always in your speech and help others flourish through your words.
CONFESSION
Out of the abundance of God’s Word in my heart, my mouth speaks. My words are gushers of living water with which I tame the world, change circumstances, give life, uplift and edify others. My life is beautiful, and I beautify the lives of others with my wholesome words.
