Crowned With Glory And Honour
“하나님이 그들로 하여금 이 비밀의 영광이 이방인 가운데 얼마나 풍성한지를 알게 하려 하심이라 이 비밀은 너희 안에 계신 그리스도시니 곧 영광의 소망이니라”(골 1:27)
기독교는 아담과 하와가 에덴동산에 있었을 때 소유했던 것들을 우리에게 회복시켜 주었다고 생각하는 사람들이 많이 있지만, 그렇지 않습니다. 우리에게 있는 것은 그보다 훨씬 더 위대한 영광입니다(고후 3:10). 거듭난 당신은 첫 번째 아담을 따라 태어나지 않고 두 번째 아담이자 마지막 아담이신 예수 그리스도를 따라 태어났습니다. 성경은 말씀합니다. “첫 번째 사람 아담은 살아 있는 인간이 되었지만, 마지막 아담이신 그리스도는 생명을 주는 영이시다.”(고전 15:45, NLT)
웨이머스 신약성경(Weymouth New Testament)으로 로마서 8:30을 읽을 때에 시제에 주목해 보십시오. “그분은 예정하신 자들을 또한 부르셨고, 부르신 자들을 또한 무죄하다고 선언하셨고, 무죄하다고 선언하신 자들을 또한 영광으로 관을 씌우셨다.” 여기에서 우리는 그리스도의 속량 사역의 결과인 새로운 피조물에 대한 중요한 실재를 확인할 수 있습니다. 그것은 당신이 영광으로 관을 쓴 자라는 사실입니다. 그것은 당신이 아름답고 탁월한 생명 안으로 들어갔다는 뜻입니다.

누군가는 “하지만 성경이 로마서 3:23에서 모든 사람이 죄를 지어서 하나님의 영광에 이르지 못했다고 말씀하지 않습니까?”라고 물을지 모릅니다. 그것은 예수님이 오시기 전이었습니다. 모든 사람이 죄로 인해 하나님의 영광과 분리되었습니다. 하지만 예수님이 죽으심으로 죄를 십자가에 못 박고 우리를 아담과 하와에게 있던 영광이 아니라 그분 자신의 영광으로 데려가셨습니다. 예수님이 당신을 그분 자신으로 영화롭게 하셨습니다.

CROWNED WITH GLORY AND HONOUR
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).
Many think that Christianity restored us back to what Adam and Eve used to be or had in the Garden of Eden, but that’s not true. What we have is a far greater glory (2 Corinthians 3:10). Being born again, you’re not born after the first Adam but after the second and last Adam, Jesus Christ. The Scripture says,“…The first man, Adam, became a living person. But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit” (1 Corinthians 15:45 NLT).
I want you to carefully note the tenses in Romans 8:30 as we read this time from the Weymouth New Testament: “…and those whom He has pre-destined He also has called; and those whom He has called He has also declared free from guilt; and those whom He has declared free from guilt He has also crowned with glory.” Here, we identify vital realities concerning the new creation, which are the results of Christ’s redemptive work. One of them is that you’ve been crowned with glory. That means you’ve been brought into a life of beauty and excellence.
Furthermore, in 1 Peter 5:10, we read that God has called you to His own eternal glory in Christ Jesus. The same truth is highlighted in 2 Peter 1:3: “According as his divine power hath given unto us all
things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” You’ve been glorified, not with any lesser glory, but with the same glory that is on Jesus. He said in John 17:22: “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them….”
“But doesn’t the Bible say in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God?” someone may ask. That was before Jesus came. All men became separated from the glory of God because of sin, but Jesus, through His death, nailed sin to the Cross and brought us into glory; not the glory that Adam and Eve had, but His own glory. He glorified you with Himself.
Referring to Jesus, Hebrews 2:9 tells us that God crowned Him with glory and honour. Then in 1 John 4:17, we read that as He is, so are we in this world. Blessed be God! You’re crowned with glory and honour just like Jesus. Your life isn’t for reproach; it’s for glory, beauty, excellence and honour. Hallelujah!

My life is excellent and full of glory; I’m crowned with righteousness and honour, nd the pleasure of the Lord is prospering through me. Christ is exalted in me today and evermore; my life is for His glory. Hallelujah!
