Actuate Your Potential
“우리는 그가 만드신 바라 그리스도 예수 안에서 선한 일을 위하여 지으심을 받은 자니 이 일은 하나님이 전에 예비하사 우리로 그 가운데서 행하게 하려 하심이니라”(엡 2:10)
잠재력은 잠자고 있는 능력, 계발되지 않은 숨겨진 능력입니다. 당신의 마음과 생각과 영혼의 깊숙한 곳에 숨겨져 있는 아직 사용되지 않은 가능성입니다.
잠재력은 당신이 아직 되지 못했지만 될 수 있는 것이며, 아직 하지 못했지만 할 수 있는 것, 혹은 아직 활성화되지 않은 당신 안에 있는 모든 것입니다. 잠재력은 이미 이룬 성공을 뜻하지 않습니다. 오히려 아직 이루지 못했지만 달성 가능한 것들을 뜻합니다.
많은 사람들이 자신의 잠재력을 발휘하거나 그들을 위한 하나님의 꿈을 이루지 못한 채 살다 죽었습니다. 많은 사람들이 그분이 원하시는 모습이 되지 못하고 끝났습니다. 그보다 더 비참한 일은 없을 것입니다! 그리스도의 심판대 앞에서 당신이 될 수 있었던 모든 것과 성취할 수 있었지만 결코 실행되지 못한 가능성을 보게 된다면 어떤 생각을 하겠습니까?
그러므로 말씀을 통해 참된 당신에 대해 배우고, 말씀이 묘사한 무한한 가능성을 가진 사람이 되기 위해 일어서십시오. 당신은 더 많은 일을 할 수 있는 능력을 가지고 있고, 더 많은 것이 될 수 있습니다.
요한복음 12:24에 나오는 주 예수님의 말씀을 기억하십시오. “이르시되 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 한 알의 밀이 땅에 떨어져 죽지 아니하면 한 알 그대로 있고 죽으면 많은 열매를 맺느니라.”
과일나무의 씨앗을 생각해 보십시오. 그 씨앗은 단순히 나무만 되는 것이 아니라 숲이 될 가능성도 있습니다. 모든 나무에는 숲을 이룰 수 있는 가능성이 있습니다. 하나님은 사람들에게 그럴 수 있는 권리만 주는 것이 아니라 그들의 잠재력을 발휘할 책임을 함께 주셨습니다. 이는 하나님 안에서의 당신의 잠재력을 말하는 것입니다. 성경은 말씀합니다. “이는 우리가 다 반드시 그리스도의 심판대 앞에 나타나게 되어… 그 몸으로 행한 것을 따라 받으려 함이라.”(고후 5:10)
심판의 순간, 몇몇 사람들은 자신이 될 수 있었으나 결국 되지 못한 모든 모습을 보게 될 것입니다. 그들이 말할 수 있었지만 결코 말하지 않은 모든 말, 할 수 있었지만 결코 하지 않았던 모든 것을 보게 될 것입니다. 따라서 하나님이 당신에게 주신 모든 부르심을 이루겠다고 결단하십시오. 당신이 충만한 잠재력을 깨닫고 이를 살아가며 그리스도 안에 있는 자신의 운명과 부르심을 이룰 수 있도록 성령님을 신뢰하십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 내가 충만한 잠재력을 이루고 살며 그리스도 안에서 나의 운명과 부르심을 성취할 수 있도록 도우시니 감사합니다. 나는 내 경주를 힘껏 달리며, 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 하나님의 가장 높은 부르심의 상급을 위해 앞으로 나아갑니다. 나는 이 경주를 성령님의 영감과 말씀의 인도 아래 달려나갑니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

ACTUATE YOUR POTENTIAL
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”(Ephesians 2:10).
Potential is a latent ability, a hidden power that hasn’t been developed. It is that unused ability, hidden away in the inner recesses of your heart, mind, and soul.
Potential is what you could be that you aren’t yet, what you could do that you haven’t done, or everything inside you that is yet to be actuated. Potential doesn’t refer to the successes you’ve achieved, but the ones that are possible that you’re yet to achieve.
Many have lived and died without actuating their potential or fulfilling God’s dream for them; many have died without becoming what He wanted them to be. Nothing could be more miserable than that! How would you feel if, at the judgment seat of Christ, you’re shown everything you could have been, and the possibilities you could have fulfilled but that were never actuated?
So, learn about the real you, through the Word and stand up to be what the Word has described you to be with limitless possibilities; the ability to do more and be more.
Remember the words of the Lord Jesus in John 12:24. He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.”
Consider a fruit-tree seed: That seed has the potential of not just becoming a tree, but a forest. Every tree has the potential of a forest. God doesn’t only reserve the rights, but also intends to hold men accountable for their potentials. We’re dealing here with your potential in God. The Bible says, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body…” (2 Corinthians 5:10).
At the Judgment, some are going to see all that they were meant to be that they never became; all they could have said that they never said; and all they could have done that they never did. So make up your mind you’d be everything God has chosen you to be. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you see and live to your fullest potential and fulfil your destiny and calling in Christ.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for helping me to live to my fullest potential and fulfil my destiny and calling in Christ. I’m running my race swiftly, pressing towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, under the inspiration of your Spirit, and guidance of your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
