The Mystery Of The Godhead
“하나님의 성품의 신비는 논쟁의 여지가 없이 위대하도다. 하나님께서 육체 안에 나타나시고 성령 안에서 의롭게 되시고 천사들에게 보이시고 이방인들에게 선포되시고 세상에서 믿기시고 영광 속으로 올려져서 영접을 받으셨느니라.”(딤전 3:16, 한글흠정역)
성경에 대한 바른 이해가 부족하여 예수님의 신성에 대해 헷갈려하는 사람들이 있습니다. 그러나 성경은 이에 대해 분명하게 말합니다. 오늘의 본문 구절 역시 하나님이라 언급되신 분이 예수님이라는 사실에 대해 의심의 여지가 없습니다.
어떤 사람들은 “예수님이 하나님이시라면 어떻게 에베소서 1:19-20의 내용처럼 하늘에서 자신의 우편에 앉을 수 있습니까?”라고 묻습니다. 먼저, 당신은 다양한 방식으로 자신을 나타내실 수 있는 그분의 특별한 본성을 이해해야 합니다. 이것이 바로 하나님의 본성의 신비입니다.
성경은 성부, 성자, 성령 안에 있는 신성한 본성에 대해 알려줍니다. 한 하나님이시지만 다른 세 인격으로 나타나십니다. 우리는 천국에 세 하나님이 계시거나, 한 보좌에 아버지가, 다른 보좌에 아들이, 그리고 세 번째 보좌에 성령님이 계시는 것을 결코 볼 수 없을 것입니다! 예수님 안에 신성의 모든 충만이 거하시므로 우리가 보는 것은 오직 예수님입니다(골 2:9).
골로새서 1:19은 말합니다. “아버지께서는 모든 충만으로 예수 안에 거하게 하시고” 예수님이 침례 받으시던 순간을 생각해 보십시오. 예수님이 물에서 나오실 때, 하늘이 열리고 성령님이 그분께 내려오셨습니다. 그때 하늘로부터 소리가 들렸습니다. “이는 내 사랑하는 아들이요 내 기뻐하는 자라 하시니라”(마 3:17)
삼위일체가 참으로 놀랍게 나타났습니다. 아들은 물로 침례를 받으시고, 그 즉시 성령으로 충만해지시고, 아버지께서 하늘에서 말씀하셨습니다. 천사들이 전능하신 하나님이 육신을 가지고 계신 것을 처음으로 본 것은 예수님이 베들레헴에서 태어나셨을 때입니다. 성경은 말합니다. “말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시매…”(요 1:14) 하나님이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하셨음에도 여전히 그분의 임재와 목소리가 하늘로부터 왔습니다. 정말 놀랍습니다!
고백
나는 주 예수님을 경배합니다. 그 안에 신성한 완전함의 모든 충만과 신성의 능력과 본성이 거하십니다. 주님, 당신은 완전한 신성의 화신이시며, 보이지 않는 하나님의 나타남이자 형상이십니다. 당신은 영원하고, 은혜롭고, 다정하고, 친절한 왕이십니다! 나는 온 마음을 다해 당신을 사랑합니다! 당신의 이름을 영원히 송축합니다!

THE MYSTERY OF THE GODHEAD
“And great and important and weighty, we confess, is the hidden truth (the mystic secret) of godliness. He [God] was made visible in human flesh, justified and vindicated in the [Holy] Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, [and] taken up in glory”(1 Timothy 3:16 AMPC).
There’re those who due to lack of proper understanding of the Scriptures are confused about the deity of Jesus. The Scriptures are unambiguous about it. Even the portion we just read in our theme verse leaves no one in doubt as to the fact that the one being referred to as God is Jesus.
Some have asked, ” If Jesus is God, how can He set Himself at his own right hand in the heavenly places as stated in Ephesians 1:19-20?” First, you have to understand the extraordinary nature of God in which He’s able to manifest Himself in different ways; it’s the mystery of His nature.
The Bible tells us about the divine nature of the Godhead in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; one God, but manifests in three separate persons. We’re never going to see three Gods in Heaven, or three thrones with the Father sitting on one, and the Son on another, and then the Holy Spirit on the third one; no! It’s only Jesus, because in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).
Colossians 1:19 says, “For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell.” Recall at the baptism of Jesus, as He came out of the water, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus. Simultaneously, a voice spoke from heaven and said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17).
What an extraordinary manifestation of the three persons: The Son is baptized in water, and right away He’s filled with the Holy Spirit, and the Father speaks from heaven! The first time the angels saw God almighty in a body was when Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The Bible says, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14). God became flesh and dwelt among us, and yet His presence and His voice would speak from heaven. Amazing!
CONFESSION
I worship the Lord Jesus, for in Him dwells all the fullness of the divine perfection, powers and attributes of divinity. Lord, you’re the complete embodiment of Deity, the outward expression or image of the invisible God. You’re the king eternal, gracious, loving and kind! I love you with all my heart! Blessed be your Name forever!
