하나님을 알아야 합니다
You’ve Got To Know Him
“그의 신기한 능력으로 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨으니 이는 자기의 영광과 덕으로써 우리를 부르신 이를 앎으로 말미암음이라”(벧후 1:3)
에베소서 1:3은 하나님이 그리스도 예수 안에서 천상에 있는 모든 영적인 복으로 당신에게 복을 주셨다고 말씀합니다. 그리고 고린도전서 3:21은 “…모든 것이 너희의 것이라”고 선포합니다. 하나님은 인생에서 승리하고 성공하며 살아가는데 필요한 모든 것을 당신에게 주셨습니다. 그러나 오늘의 본문 구절에서 우리는 매우 중요한 요소를 발견하게 되는데, 그것은 “그분을 아는 지식”입니다. 당신이 경건한 삶을 사는데 필요하거나 원하는 것 중에 이미 당신 것이 아닌 게 없지만, 그것을 삶에서 실재가 되게 하는 것은 그분을 아는 지식을 통해서 입니다.
이런 종류의 지식은 충만하고 정확한 지식으로 헬라어로는 “에피그노시스(epignosis)”라고 합니다. 하나님의 공급하심이 성경에 기록되어 있다고 해서 즉시로 당신의 삶에 나타나지는 않을 것입니다. 당신에게는 그분을 아는 지식이 있어야 합니다. 그 지식은 아는 자와 아는 대상을 하나로 묶는 지식이며, 감각을 넘어서는 지식이고, 가설이 아닌 구체적인 지식입니다.
참으로 아름답고 강력한 사실은 하나님을 알게 되면 그분이 주신 모든 것을 알고 자신의 것으로 삼게 될 뿐 아니라, 진정으로 자신을 알게 된다는 것입니다. 그분을 알면 알수록 당신은 자신에 대해 더 많이 알게 됩니다. 그분은 당신을 거울처럼 비춰주십니다. 즉 그분의 말씀은 거울처럼 당신을 비춰줍니다. 다시 말해 그분 안에서 당신은 자신을 보게 됩니다. 당신은 그분을 알기 전까지는 결코 자신에 대해 진정으로 알 수 없습니다. 그분은 당신을 지으신 분이시기에 그분만이 당신 안에 무엇이 있으며 또 당신이 무엇을 할 수 있는지를 아십니다. 오직 그분만이 당신에게 당신 자신을 밝혀주실 수 있습니다.
그러므로 그분을 알고, 당신 자신을 발견하기 위해서는 말씀을 공부하고 묵상해야 합니다. 고린도후서 3:18은 말씀이 바로 당신의 진정한 모습을 나타내는 하나님의 거울이라고 말합니다. “우리가 다 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 거울을 보는 것 같이 주의 영광을 보매 그와 같은 형상으로 변화하여 영광에서 영광에 이르니 곧 주의 영으로 말미암음이라” 하나님의 거울을 들여다보고 주님을 앎으로 당신이 진정 누구인지 찾고 발견하십시오. 말씀이 당신 것이라 말한 것을 붙잡고 말씀이 당신이 누구라고 말하는 것을 붙잡는 순간, 그대로 확언함으로써 반응하십시오. 그것이 바로 삶에서 하나님의 말씀이 나타나도록 승인하는 방법입니다.

사랑하는 아버지, 이 땅에서 성공하고 승리하는 경건한 삶을 사는데 필요한 모든 것을 제게 주셔서 감사합니다. 저는 충만하며 축복으로 가득합니다. 말씀을 들여다볼 때, 저는 변화되며 아버지의 영광이 제 안에서 그리고 저를 통해 나타납니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

YOU’VE GOT TO KNOW HIM
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).
Ephesians 1:3 says God has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus; and 1 Corinthians 3:21 declares, “…all things are yours.” God has given you everything you require to live victoriously and be a success in life. Meanwhile, in our opening verse, we observe a very important element: it’s about your “knowledge of Him.” There’s nothing you could ever need or desire for a godly life that’s not already yours in Christ. However, making it a reality in your life is a function of your knowledge of Him.
This kind of knowledge is full, exact knowledge—“epignosis” (Greek). God’s provisions aren’t going to come to pass in your life just because they’re written in
the pages of the Bible; there’s a knowledge of Him that you must have; knowledge that unites the knower with that which is known; knowledge beyond the senses; specific knowledge, without assumptions.
Something so beautiful and powerful about knowing Him is that not only do you get to know, and are able to appropriate all that He’s given to you, you also get to know yourself. The more you know Him, the more you know you; He mirrors you. His Word mirrors you; in Him, you see you. You can never really know yourself as God knows you until you know Him.
He made you; so only He knows what’s inside you and what you’re capable of; He alone can reveal you to you.
Therefore, the way to know Him, and get to discover you, is to study and meditate on the Word. 2 Corinthians 3:18 shows that the Word is the mirror of God that reveals your true description. It says, “…we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory
to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” Search and discover who you really are, by looking into the mirror of God; by getting to know the Lord. The moment you get a hold of what the Word says is yours, or who the Word says you are, respond by affirming accordingly. That’s how you endorse His Word into manifestation in your life.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for giving me everything I need for a godly life of success and victory in this world. I’m full and loaded with blessings; and as I look into your Word, I’m transfigured; your glory is revealed in, and through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
