성령을 “나누어주십시오”
“Distributing” The Holy Ghost
“그리고 하나님께서도 표징과 기이한 일과 여러 가지 기적을 보이시고, 또 자기의 뜻을 따라, 성령의 선물을 나누어주심으로써, 그들과 함께 증언하여 주셨습니다.”(히 2:4, 새번역)
오늘의 본문 구절에서 “선물(gifts)”이라는 단어는 사실 선물이 아니라, “나누어주신 것(distributions)”으로 번역되어야 합니다. 왜냐하면 이 단어는 그리스어 “메리스모스(merismos)”에서 왔기 때문입니다. 듀에-랭스(Douay-Rheims) 번역본이 정확하게 이 구절을 번역하였습니다. “하나님도 표적들과 기사들과 여러 가지 능력과 및 자기의 뜻을 따라 성령이 나누어주신 것으로써(the distribution of the Holy Spirit) 그들과 함께 증언하셨느니라.”
성경에서 말하는 “성령이 나누어주신 것”은 무엇을 의미합니까? 예수님이 요한복음 20:22에서 행하신 일을 보면 알 수 있습니다. 성경은 그분이 제자들을 향하여 숨을 내쉬며 “성령을 받으라”고 말했다고 합니다. 예수님은 제자들에게 성령을 “나누어주셨습니다.” 할렐루야!
우리는 새 언약의 일꾼들이며, 문자로 된 것이 아니라 영으로 되었습니다(고후 3:6). 우리는 성령을 나누어주는 자이며 나타내는 자입니다. 오늘 읽은 본문구절을 다시 떠올리십시오! 표적과 기사와 기이한 일을 나타내는 자들이 누구입니까? 바로 사도들이었습니다! 하나님은 그들을 통하여 표적과 기사와 기적을 행하시고 “성령을 나눠주셨습니다.”
성경은 우리를 새 언약의 일꾼이며 그리스도의 신비를 맡은 자라고 말합니다(고전 4:1). 할렐루야! 우리는 마치 레스토랑에서 일하는 웨이터처럼 성령과 신약의 축복들을 “제공합니다.” 그러므로 바울과 같이 당신도 이렇게 말할 수 있습니다. “나는 성령의 일꾼입니다.”
당신은 누군가에게 손을 얻고 “성령을 받으십시오”라고 말할 수 있고, 그러면 그 사람은 성령을 받을 것입니다. 당신에게서 나온 성령은 다섯 명, 열 명, 백 명, 그 이상의 사람들에게도 가실 수 있습니다. 하나님께 영광을 돌립니다! 이것이 바로 하나님이 우리를 그분의 일꾼이자 대사로 부르시고 맡기신 일입니다. 우리는 신성한 명령을 운반합니다. 할렐루야!
고백
나는 영원한 진리를 운반하며 성령을 나누어주고 나타내는 자입니다. 나는 지속적으로 성령으로 충만합니다. 그러므로 내가 어디를 가든지 나는 신약의 축복들을 제공하고, 많은 사람들에게 성령 충만을 주고, 그들을 하나님의 왕국 안으로 돌이킵니다. 아멘.

“DISTRIBUTING” THE HOLY GHOST
God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
(Hebrews 2:4).
The word translated “gifts” above shouldn’t have been translated gifts, but “distributions,” because it’s the Greek “merismos.” The Douay-Rheims translation actually renders it correctly. It says, “God also bearing them witness by signs, and wonders, and divers miracles, and distributions of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will.”
What does the Scripture mean by “distribution of the Holy Ghost?” What Jesus did in John 20:22 gives us an idea. The Bible says He blew on His disciples and said, “…Receive ye the Holy Ghost” (John 20:22). He “distributed” or ministered the Holy Ghost to them.
Hallelujah!
We’re ministers of the New Testament, not of the letter, but of the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:6). We’re distributors and administrators of the Holy Ghost.
Recall what we read in our theme verse! Who were those that performed the signs and wonders, and special miracles? It was the Apostles! God did signs, wonders, miracles, and “distributions of the Holy Ghost” through them.
The Bible says we’re stewards or ministers of the New Testament, of the mysteries of Christ (1 Corinthians 4:1). Hallelujah! We “serve” the Spirit, the blessings of the New Testament, like that waiter who serves in a restaurant. So, like Paul, you can say, “I’m a minister of the Spirit.”
You can lay hands on someone and say, “Receive the Holy Spirit” and the person will be filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit from you can go into five, ten, hundred people and more. Glory to God!
This is what He’s called us to do as His ministers and ambassadors; we’re bearers of the divine order.

CONFESSION
I’m the bearer of eternal verities, a distributor and an administrator of the Holy Ghost. I’m constantly filled with the Spirit; therefore, everywhere I go, I serve the blessings of the New Testament, filling many with the Holy Ghost and converting them into the Kingdom of God. Amen.
