“환란 중에 참으며”
“PATIENT IN TRIBULATION”
“소망 중에 즐거워하며 환난 중에 참으며 기도에 항상 힘쓰며”(롬 12:12)
디모데후서 2:3은 “너는 그리스도 예수의 좋은 병사로 나와 함께 고난을 받으라”고 말씀합니다. 다양한 성경 번역본을 보면, “인내(patience)”라는 말에 여러 단어가 사용되었습니다. 그중에서 가장 잘 표현된 동의어는 “견딤(endurance)”인데, 환란 가운데에서 인내하는 능력이라는 뜻입니다. 즉 소망을 갖고 어려움을 견디는 것입니다. 이것은 주님이 당신과 함께하시는 것을 알기 때문에 어떤 반대에도 맞설 수 있고 침착할 수 있다는 뜻입니다.
잠언 24:10은 우리에게 환난 날에 포기하거나 굴복하지 말고 오히려 승리를 유지하라고 권면합니다. 아마도 당신은 믿음을 성장시키는 시작 단계에 있을지도 모릅니다. 상황이 어려워 보이고 매우 도전적인 듯 보일 수 있지만, 말씀을 확신하십시오. 인내하면서 말씀이 삶과 환경에서 역사할 수 있는 시간을 주십시오. 견뎌내십시오. 그 상황은 당신의 간증을 위한 것입니다!
믿는 바를 어떻게 고수해야 할지 모르는 사람들이 있습니다. 예를 들어 사람들은 자신의 믿음에 대해 비판을 받으면 낙담하는 경향이 있습니다. 이는 잘못된 것입니다! 그런 비판을 견디십시오. 왜냐하면 그것들은 당신의 승진을 위해 기획된 것이기 때문입니다.
직장 동료가 당신이나 기독교에 대해 경멸적인 말을 했다고 해서 믿음을 포기하지 마십시오. 대신 당신의 정체성과 그리스도와의 교제를 자랑스러워하십시오. 계속해서 영혼을 구원하십시오.
당신을 비난하고 있는 사람들은 머지않아 당신의 삶에 나타난 하나님의 영광과 능력을 인정하게 될 것입니다. 그러므로 당신이 지금 겪고 있는 시험이나 시련을 소망을 갖고 견뎌내십시오. 주 예수님은 누가복음 21:19에서 “너희의 인내로 너희 영혼을 얻으리라”고 말씀하셨습니다. 당신은 결코 불이익을 당하거나 패배할 수 없다는 것을 알므로, 도전적인 상황들을 소망을 갖고 견뎌내십시오. 다가올 더 밝고 좋은 날을 기대하며 확신하십시오! 마음에 승리와 성공의 그림을 그리고, 이를 지키십시오.

사랑하는 아버지, 그리스도 안에서 제가 가진 탁월함과 통치와 능력의 비범한 삶에 대해 감사드립니다. 다양한 시험을 겪을 때 그것을 기쁨으로 여깁니다. 제가 누구인지 알기 때문입니다. 저는 압력과 부정적인 상황과 관계없이 통치하고 이기며 탁월한 운명의 삶을 사는 인생의 승리자입니다. 예수의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

“PATIENT IN TRIBULATION”
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer (Romans 12:12).
2 Timothy 2:3 says, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” In various Bible translations, different words are translated patience. However, the best synonym that describes patience is “endurance”; the ability to be patient in tribulation; that is, enduring hardship with hope. This means you’re able to face any opposition and remain unflustered, knowing the Lord is with you. Proverbs 24:10 admonishes us against giving up or giving in, in the day of adversity; rather, we’re to maintain our victory. Maybe you’re at the beginning stage of developing your faith, and things may be looking tough and very challenging, have confidence in the Word. Be patient and give the Word time to work in your life and in your circumstances. Endure. That situation is for your testimony! There’re people who don’t know how to stick with what they believe. For example, once they’re criticized for their faith, they tend to be discouraged; that’s wrong! Endure such criticisms, for they’re designed for your promotion. Don’t renounce the Faith just because a colleague at work made derogatory remarks about you or Christianity. Rather, be proud of your identity and association with Christ. Keep winning souls. It won’t be long before those who may be criticizing you acknowledge the glory and power of God on your life. Therefore, endure with hope the tests or trials you may be experiencing right now. The Lord Jesus said in Luke 21:19, “In your patience possess ye your souls.” Endure challenges with hope, knowing that you’ll never be disadvantaged or defeated. Be hopeful and confident of a better and brighter day ahead! Create that picture in your mind—the picture of victory and triumph, and hold on to it.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the extraordinary life of excellence, dominion and power that I have in Christ. I count it all joy when I go through diverse tests, because I know who I am: a victor for life, destined to reign, win, and excel, irrespective and independent of pressures and negative circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
