역경 안에서의 승리
Triumphant In Adversities
“누가 우리를 그리스도의 사랑에서 끊으리요 환난이나 곤고나 박해나 기근이나 적신이나 위험이나 칼이랴… 그러나 이 모든 일에 우리를 사랑하시는 이로 말미암아 우리가 넉넉히 이기느니라”(롬 8:35-37)
때때로 사람들은 그리스도께 자신의 심령을 드리면 역경이나 박해가 없을 것이라고 생각합니다. 하지만 성경은 여러 가지 시험을 당할 때 그것을 온전히 기쁘게 여기라고 말씀합니다(약 1:2). 시험, 시련, 박해는 모두 여기서 말하는 시험의 일부입니다. 이것들을 마주했을 때 당황하지 마십시오. 당신은 정복자보다 나은 자이기 때문입니다. 당신은 그리스도 예수 안에서 승리한 자입니다.
이는 마귀가 당신을 휩쓸거나 화살을 던지는 시도를 한다는 뜻이기도 합니다. 베드로전서 5:8-9은 말합니다. “근신하라 깨어라 너희 대적 마귀가 우는 사자 같이 두루 다니며 삼킬 자를 찾나니 너희는 믿음을 굳건하게 하여 그를 대적하라 이는 세상에 있는 너희 형제들도 동일한 고난을 당하는 줄을 앎이라.”
마귀는 두루 다니며 삼킬 자를 찾습니다. 그러나 말씀은 당신에게 무엇을 해야 하는지 알려줍니다. 당신의 믿음으로 그를 대적하십시오! 에베소서 6:16은 동일한 믿음으로, 즉 믿음의 방패를 사용하여 사탄의 불화살을 무력화하고 소멸시키라고 말합니다. “모든 것 위에 믿음의 방패를 가지고 이로써 능히 악한 자의 모든 불화살을 소멸하고.”
우리는 방어 태세가 아닌 사탄과 그의 흑암의 무리를 대적하여 공격 태세를 취합니다. 우리는 그들의 맹공격에도 끄떡없이 강하며, 그들을 다스리는 권세를 가지고 있습니다. 정사나 권세, 이 땅의 어둠의 통치자들이나 할 것 없이, 그들은 예수 이름 안에서 당신에게 복종할 수밖에 없습니다.
계속 그리스도의 승리 안에 거하십시오. 당신의 세상을 다스리십시오. 당신의 환경을 지배하고, 사탄에게 틈을 내어주지 마십시오. 에베소서 4:27은 말합니다. “마귀에게 틈을 주지 말라.” 예수님께서 우리에게 귀신을 쫓아내는 권세를 주셨음을 기억하십시오. 그러므로 예수 이름으로 그 권세를 사용하여 악한 자들을 제압하십시오.
이것이 바로 예수님께서 명령하신 바입니다. “믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며 새 방언을 말하며.”(막 16:17) 귀신을 내쫓는 것은 예수님께서 우리가 그분의 이름으로 할 수 있다고 말씀하신 첫 번째 일입니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!
고백
나는 모든 정사와 권세와 이 땅의 어둠의 주관자들과 하늘의 영역에 있는 악한 영들에 대한 통치권과 권세를 가지고 있습니다. 나는 성령님의 능력으로 내 세상을 다스리며 원수의 모든 책략과 계략을 저지합니다. 아멘.

TRIUMPHANT IN ADVERSITIES
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? …Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us”(Romans 8:35-37).
Sometimes, when people give their hearts to Christ, they assume they aren’t supposed to face adversities or persecutions; but the Bible says count it all joy when you go through diverse tests (James 1:6). Tests, trials and persecution are all part of the package; never be flustered by them, because you’re more than a conqueror. You’re a victor in Christ Jesus.
This means the devil will try to sway you or throw darts at you. 1 Peter 5:8-9 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”
The devil may prowl around, seeking whom he may devour, but the Word tells you what to do: resist him with your faith! Ephesians 6:16 says to use the same faith—your shield of faith—to neutralize and extinguish Satan’s fiery darts: “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
We’re not on the defensive, but on the offensive against Satan and his cohorts of darkness. We’re adequately fortified against their onslaughts and have dominion over them. Whether they are principalities, powers, or the rulers of the darkness of this world—they are subject to you in the Name of Jesus.
Keep living in the victory of Christ. Dominate your world, dominate your environment, and give Satan no chance. Ephesians 4:27 says, “Give no place to the devil.” Remember Jesus gave us power to cast out devils. Therefore, use that authority in His Name and subdue the evil and wicked one.
That’s what Jesus said to do: “And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils.” (Mark 16:17). It’s the first of the things He said we could do in His Name. Praise God!
CONFESSION
I have dominion and authority over principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. I dominate my world and frustrate the tokens of the adversary—His stratagems and manoeuvres—by the power of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
