아버지와의 신성한 사랑
DIVINE LOVE WITH THE FATHER
“사람이 친구를 위하여 자기 목숨을 버리면 이보다 더 큰 사랑이 없나니”(요15:13)
성탄절은 예수 그리스도의 탄생을 기념하는 날입니다. 그분은 아버지의 뜻을 이루기 위해 태어나셨습니다. 예수님은 우리에게 표현된 하나님의 사랑이셨습니다. 예수님은 하나님의 어린 양으로서 이 세상의 구원을 위한 값을 죽음으로 치르시고 모든 사람들이 아버지와의 신성한 교제를 가질 수 있게 하셨습니다.
에베소서 1:5-6은 말합니다. “그 기쁘신 뜻대로 우리를 예정하사 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 자기의 아들들이 되게 하셨으니 이는 그가 사랑하시는 자 안에서 우리에게 거저 주시는 바 그의 은혜의 영광을 찬송하게 하려는 것이라.” 하나님께서는 이 땅의 기초를 놓기도 전에 당신이 그분의 사랑 가운데 살도록 계획하셨습니다.
하나님께서는 그리스도 안에서 당신이 그분의 선하심의 증거가 될 것을 계획하셨습니다. 에베소서 2:10 (확대번역본)은 말합니다. “우리는 하나님께서 [직접] 손수 만드신 작품(그분의 솜씨)이며, [하나님께서 미리 준비해 놓으신 길을 따라] 그분께서 우리를 위해 예정하신 (사전에 계획하신) 선한 일을 하고, 그 안에서 [그분께서 우리가 미리 계획하시고 준비하신 좋은 삶을 살며] 행하도록 그리스도 예수 안에서 재창조된 [거듭 난] 자입니다.”
예수님은 어떤 사람도 경험해보지 못한 수준의 아버지의 사랑을 경험하신 분이십니다. 그분은 요한복음 14:10에서 말씀하셨습니다. “내가 아버지 안에 거하고 아버지는 내 안에 계신 것을…” 예수님은 아버지 안에서 걸으셨고, 아버지는 예수님 안에서 걸으셨습니다. 우리는 에베소서 5:1-2(확대번역본)이 권면한대로 우리 또한 같은 일을 해야 합니다. “그러므로 너희는 사랑받는 자녀들로서 하나님을 따르는 자가 되라[하나님을 모방하고 그분의 본을 따라라]. 그리스도께서 우리를 사랑하시어 우리를 위하여 자신을 하나님 앞에 향기로운 냄새를 내는 제물과 희생으로 드린 것같이 너희도 사랑 안에서 행하라. [서로를 존중하고 기쁨을 주어라.]그리스도께서 우리를 사랑하사 우리를 위하여 자신을 희생 제물과 희생 제물을 하나님께 드리심 같이 너희도 사랑 가운데서 행하여 [서로 존경하고 기뻐하며] 향기로운 냄새가 되게 하심이라.”
예수님은 그분 자신의 사랑으로 우리를 구원하시고, 우리를 위해 목숨을 버리셨습니다. 그 결과로 우리는 교제를 통해 아버지의 사랑을 경험할 수 있게 되었습니다. 이제 우리는 누가복음 2:8-14에서 천사가 목자들에게 전한 메시지를 더 잘 이해할 수 있습니다. “그 지역에 목자들이 밤에 밖에서 자기 양 떼를 지키더니 주의 사자가 곁에 서고 주의 영광이 그들을 두루 비추매 크게 무서워하는지라 천사가 이르되 무서워하지 말라 보라 내가 온 백성에게 미칠 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식을 너희에게 전하노라 오늘 다윗의 동네에 너희를 위하여 구주가 나셨으니 곧 그리스도 주시니라 너희가 가서 강보에 싸여 구유에 뉘어 있는 아기를 보리니 이것이 너희에게 표적이니라 하더니 홀연히 수많은 천군이 그 천사들과 함께 하나님을 찬송하여 이르되 지극히 높은 곳에서는 하나님께 영광이요 땅에서는 하나님이 기뻐하신 사람들 중에 평화로다 하니라.”
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 당신은 놀랍고, 영광스럽고, 의롭고, 거룩하고, 정의롭고, 참되십니다. 주님, 당신을 사랑합니다. 당신은 은혜롭고 언제나 친절하십니다. 당신과 교제할 수 있는 영광을 주셔서 감사합니다. 인간의 이해를 뛰어넘는 당신의 신성한 사랑을 경험할 수 있게 해 주셔서 감사합니다. 그리고 나를 당신의 사랑의 표현으로 삼아 주셔서 감사합니다. 아멘.

DIVINE LOVE WITH THE FATHER
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”(John 15:13).
Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. He was born to fulfil the will of the Father. He was God’s love manifested to us. He was God’s sacrificial lamb to die and pay the price for the salvation of the world, to bring men into divine fellowship with the Father.
Ephesians 1:5-6 says, “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” Before the foundation of the world, God planned that you’d live in His love.
He planned that in Christ, you’d be the proof of His goodness. Ephesians 2:10 AMPC says, “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
Jesus experienced the love of the Father the way no man ever did. He said in John 14:10, “I am in the Father, and the Father is in me.” He walked in the Father, and the Father walked in Him. We’re to do the same as admonished in Ephesians 5:1-2 AMPC: “THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]. And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.”
He saved us with His own love and gave His life for us, so we could experience the Father’s love through fellowship. Now we can better understand the Angel’s message to the shepherds in Luke 2:8-14: “And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
PRAYER
Dear Father, you’re awesome, glorious, righteous, holy, just and true. I love you, Lord. You’re gracious and ever-kind. Thank you for the honour of being in fellowship with you, to experience your divine love in ways beyond human comprehension and for making me an expression of you and of your love. Amen.
