The Spirit And The Word
“땅이 혼돈하고 공허하며 흑암이 깊음 위에 있고 하나님의 영은 수면 위에 운행하시니라 하나님이 이르시되 빛이 있으라 하시니 빛이 있었고”(창 1:2-3)
시편을 읽어보면 다윗이 말의 중요성을 알았다는 사실과 자신의 아들인 솔로몬에게 이를 가르쳤음을 발견할 수 있습니다. 솔로몬은 이렇게 말했습니다. “죽고 사는 것이 혀의 힘에 달렸나니…”(잠 18:21). 그의 아버지 다윗이 이것을 가르친 것입니다. 다윗은 죽고 사는 것이 칼의 힘에 있지 않다는 것을 알았습니다. 죽고 사는 것은 혀의 힘에 있습니다. 그리고 다윗은 가드의 골리앗을 마주했을 때 이를 증명했습니다. 당신은 다윗이 어떻게 골리앗을 물리쳤는지 이해해야 합니다.
다윗이 매끄러운 돌과 물매로 골리앗을 물리쳤다고 생각하기 쉽습니다. 하지만 아닙니다. 그는 말로 승리했습니다! 사무엘상 17장을 공부해보십시오. 다윗은 말의 힘을 믿고 있었기 때문에 골리앗을 무찌를 것이라 확신했습니다. 그는 하나님의 지혜가 이끄시는 대로 도구를 사용했습니다. 그는 돌과 물매, 그리고 그의 입에 있던 말을 사용했습니다. 다윗은 자신이 골리앗을 돌로 무너뜨리지 않을 것을 알고 있었습니다. 하나님의 영이 다윗 위에 계셨고, 하나님의 영은 말씀을 사용하십니다.
말은 영의 능력을 풀어놓습니다. 성령님께서는 말 없이 아무 일도 하지 않으실 것입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절을 다시 읽어보십시오. 하나님의 영은 온 세상에 계셨지만 아무 일도 일어나지 않았습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “하나님이 말씀하시기를…” 이때 성령님께서 움직이셨고 하나님께서 말씀하신 대로 되었습니다! 할렐루야!
성경은 예수님께서 재림하실 때 “그의 입의 영으로”(살후 2:8) 적그리스도를 치실 것이라고 말합니다. 이것은 성령의 검 곧 하나님의 “레마”, 그분의 입에서 나온 말씀을 가리킵니다(계 19:15, 엡 6:17).
말씀을 고백할 때 당신은 하나님의 능력이 당신을 대신하여 일하도록 풀어놓는 것입니다. 그러므로 당신이 인생의 위기를 맞닥뜨릴 때 겁내지 마십시오. 혼란에 빠지지 마십시오. 선포하십시오! 말로 변화시키십시오. 예수님께서 당신이 말한 것은 무엇이든지 얻을 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다(막 11:23). 기억하십시오. 말은 강력하지만 하나님의 말씀은 전능합니다. 그분의 이름에 영원히 영광을 드립니다!
고백
나의 말은 영의 능력을 풀어놓고 성공과 승리와 진보를 위해 나를 세워갑니다. 내가 하나님의 말씀을 공부하고 묵상하며 말씀이 내 안에 풍성히 거할 때, 나는 믿음이 충만한 말을 하고, 나를 대신하여 하나님의 능력을 풀어놓습니다. 나는 생명 안에서 내 길을 올바르게 설정합니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

The Spirit And The Word
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light”(Genesis 1:2-3).
When you read the Psalms, you’d notice that David knew the value of words, and he taught his son, Solomon, the value of words. It was Solomon who said, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” (Proverbs 18:21). David his father taught him that. David knew that death and life weren’t in the power of the sword; they’re in the power of the tongue. And he proved it when he confronted Goliath of Gath. You need to understand how he defeated Goliath.
It’s easy to think that he defeated Goliath with a smooth stone and a sling. But no; it was with words! Study the account in 1 Samuel 17. He was sure of defeating Goliath because he put his faith in words. He used the tools as guided by the wisdom of God. He had the stone and sling, and words coming out of his mouth. He knew he didn’t take Goliath out with a stone; the Spirit of God was upon him, and the Spirit of God uses words.
Words release spirit-power. Without words, the Spirit will do nothing. Read our theme verse again. The Spirit was all over the world, but nothing changed. The Bible says, “And God said…”; suddenly, the Spirit acted and whatever God said became! Hallelujah!
At the second coming of Jesus, the Bible says He’ll smite the AntiChrist “with the spirit of his mouth” (2 Thessalonians 2:8), which refers to the sword of the Spirit, which is the “Rhema” of God—words coming out of His mouth (Revelation 19:15, Ephesians 6:17).
When you speak the Word, you release the power of God into action on your behalf. So, when you face crises in life, don’t cower. Don’t panic. Speak words! Speak and effect a change. Jesus said you shall have whatsoever you say (Mark 11:23). Remember, words are powerful, but God’s Word is all-powerful. Glory to His Name forever!
CONFESSION
My words release spirit-power to build and programme me for success, victory and progress. As the Word of God dwells in me richly through study and meditation, I speak faith-filled words, releasing the power of God into action on my behalf, charting my course aright in life. Glory to God!
