Don’t Give Satan A Chance
“…아버지께 감사하게 하시기를 원하노라 그가 우리를 흑암의 권세에서 건져내사…”(골 1:12-13)
만약 마귀가 오늘 밤에 나타나서 “나는 너를 죽일 것이다”라고 말한다면 당신은 어떻게 대답하겠습니까? 어떤 그리스도인들은 도움이나 “구출”을 요청하기 위해 “기도원”에 달려갈 수도 있습니다. 그러나 당신이 무엇을 해야 할지 말씀드리겠습니다. 그를 비웃어주고 다시 자러 가십시오!
당신은 잠 못 이루면서, 자신은 패배해서 아무 권세도 없다는 것을 알면서도 사람들의 무지와 두려움을 먹이로 삼는 적에 대해 염려할 필요가 없습니다. 그가 바로 사탄이며 그는 이미 패배했습니다. 당신이 불과 몇 분 전에 당신의 삶을 예수님께 드렸다 할지라도 당신은 사탄 위에 있고 사탄은 당신의 발 밑에 있습니다. 당신은 이제 그리스도와 하나가 되어 세상과 육신과 사탄에 대한 그분의 승리의 자리에 함께 앉았습니다.
그리스도인은 사탄으로부터 구출될 필요가 없습니다. 성경은 말씀합니다. “이러므로 하나님이 그를 지극히 높여 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주사 … 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고”(빌 2:9-10) 예수의 이름을 가지고 그 안에 살아가면서 어떻게 사탄을 두려워 할 수 있겠습니까? 그 이름은 모든 이름 위에 있습니다!
마가복음 16:17에서 예수님은 “내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며”라고 말씀하십니다. 이는 당신에 대해서 말씀하신 것입니다. 그분은 귀신을 쫓아낼 권세를 당신에게 주셨습니다. 그러므로 사탄에게 기회를 주지 마십시오. 그가 어디든지 당신 주위에 나타나면 쫓아내 버리십시오.
그는 두려움을 불러일으키기 위해 당신의 생각에 부정적인 생각들을 가져다 주려고 노력할 수도 있습니다. 부정적인 생각들을 거절하십시오. 그의 속임수 중 하나는 두려움의 생각들을 전달하는 것입니다. 당신이 그런 부정적인 생각들에 대해 깊이 생각할수록 당신은 무심코 그에게 당신의 삶의 더 많은 공간을 내어주게 됩니다. 그래서 성경은 “열심을 다하여 네 마음을 지키라”(잠 4:23, 한글킹제임스)고 말씀합니다.

DON’T GIVE SATAN A CHANCE
Giving thanks unto the Father…Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness… (Colossians 1:12-13).
If, for instance, the devil appeared to you tonight, and said, “I’m going to kill you,” what would your response be? Some Christians may start running from one “prayer house” to another, seeking help or “deliverance.” But I tell you what to do: laugh him to scorn and go to sleep! You don’t have to lose sleep over an enemy who already knows he’s defeated and has no power, but preys on people’s ignorance and fears. That’s Satan; he’s been defeated. You’re superior to him, even if you only gave your life to Christ a few minutes ago. You’re now one with Christ, seated in His place of victory over the world, the flesh and the devil.
No Christian needs deliverance from the devil. The Bible says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…” (Philippians 2:9-10). How can you be afraid of the devil when you have, and live in, the Name of Jesus, the Name that’s above every name!
In Mark 16:17, Jesus said, “…In my name shall they cast out devils….” He was talking about you. He gave you the power to CAST OUT devils! Don’t give the devil a chance. If he manifests anywhere around you, cast him out.
He may try to bring negative thoughts to your mind to cause fear; reject them. Part of his subterfuge is to bring thoughts of fear to your mind, and the more you ponder on those negative thoughts, the more you inadvertently give him space in your life. That’s why the Bible says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence…” (Proverbs 4:23).
Guard your heart against fear and unbelief, because those are Satan’s materials and weapons. Spend time to listen to the Word of God and build your faith strong. CONFESSION
The greater One lives in me. I live in and by the Name of Jesus, taking the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. The Word of God—the sword of the Spirit—proceeds from my mouth, dislodging anything that’s of the devil around me and in my sphere of contact. Satan has nothing in me! Glory to God!
