당신은 목적을 위해 태어났습니다
You Came For A Purpose
“우리는 그가 만드신 바라 그리스도 예수 안에서 선한 일을 위하여 지으심을 받은 자니 이 일은 하나님이 전에 예비하사 우리로 그 가운데서 행하게 하려 하심이니라”(엡 2:10)
하나님은 당신의 삶에 대한 목적을 가지고 계십니다. 그분이 하시는 모든 일에는 목적이 있습니다. 요한복음 10:10에서 예수님은 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “내가 온 것은 양으로 생명을 얻게 하고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려는 것이라.” 요한일서 3:8은 이렇게 말합니다. “하나님의 아들이 나타나신 것은 마귀의 일을 멸하려 하심이라.” 그리고 누가복음 19:10에서 주님은 말씀하셨습니다. “인자가 온 것은 잃어버린 자를 찾아 구원하려 함이니라.” 그분의 목적은 분명했습니다. 예수님은 아버지의 뜻을 행하기 위해 오셨습니다.
당신은 목적을 위해 태어났고, 하늘에 계신 아버지의 뜻을 행하러 왔다는 것을 이해하십시오. 사도행전 26장에서 우리는 다소의 사울이 다마스쿠스로 가는 길에 주님을 만나는 장면을 볼 수 있습니다. 주님은 그의 이름을 부르시며 “… 내가 네게 나타날 일에 너로 종과 증인을 삼으려 함이니”(행 26:16)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 하나님께서 목적 없이 하시는 일은 없습니다. 나중에 바울이 된 사울에게 하나님께서 나타나신 이유는 그를 사역자와 증인으로 삼아 이방인에게 복음을 전하기 위해서였습니다(행 26:18).
당신의 목적을 발견하셨습니까? 당신이 태어난 이유를 아십니까? 아직 찾지 못했다면 오늘 발견할 수 있습니다! 담대하게 주님께 구하면 알려주십니다. 당신이 주님과 함께 걸을 때 그 목적으로 당신을 인도하시며, 당신은 주님께서 당신을 부르신 그 일들을 이루게 될 것입니다.
당신은 목적 없이 창조되지 않았습니다. 당신은 하나님의 영광을 위해 태어났습니다. 당신은 그분과 함께 걸으며 그분께 영광을 돌리기 위해 창조되었습니다. 그분은 태초에 당신이 주님을 섬기고 그리스도를 위해 살도록 계획하셨습니다. 당신이 이 목적을 심령에 확고히 자리잡게 한다면, 당신의 삶과 당신이 하는 모든 일에서 엄청난 성장과 성공을 경험하게 될 것입니다.
고백
나는 창세 전에 하나님께서 나를 위해 예정하신 삶을 살기 위해 이 세상에서 이 때에 목적을 가지고 살아갑니다. 하나님은 내가 그분을 섬기고 그분을 위해 살도록 계획하셨고, 나를 통해 이 땅과 사람들의 심령에 하나님의 의가 세워집니다. 나는 날마다 하나님의 목적을 이루며 삽니다. 아멘.

YOU CAME FOR A PURPOSE
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
God has a purpose for your life; He has a purpose for everything that He does. In John 10:10, Jesus said, “…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” 1 John 3:8 says, “…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” Then in Luke 19:10, He said, “…The son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” His purpose was clear: He came to do the will of the Father.
Understand, you were born for a purpose; you came to do the will of your heavenly Father. In Acts 26, we read about Saul of Tarsus, who on his way to Damascus had an encounter with the Lord. The Lord called him by name and said, “…I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness…” (Acts 26:16). God doesn’t do anything without a purpose. The reason He appeared to Saul, who later became Paul, was to make him a minister and a witness, so that he (Paul) would take the Gospel to the Gentiles (Acts 26:17).
Have you discovered your purpose? Do you know why you were born? If you haven’t found out, you can do that today! Be bold to ask the Lord; He’ll tell you.
He’ll guide you to that purpose as you walk with Him, and do the things He’s called you to do.
You weren’t born for nothing. You were born for the glory of God. You were born to walk with Him and bring Him honour. He planned from the beginning that you’d serve Him and live unto Christ. Let that purpose become established in your heart and you’ll experience tremendous growth and success in your life, and in all that you do.
CONFESSION
I’m in the world at such a time as this, for a purpose, living the life that God prearranged for me before the foundation of the world. He planned that I’d serve Him and live for Him, and that through me, His righteousness would be established in the earth, and in the hearts of men. I’m fulfilling this purpose daily, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
