Washed And Sanctified
“우리가 마음에 뿌림을 받아 악한 양심으로부터 벗어나고 몸은 맑은 물로 씻음을 받았으니 참 마음과 온전한 믿음으로 하나님께 나아가자”(히10:22)
오늘 본문구절을 얼핏 보면 우리가 하나님께 가까이 가서 양심의 가책으로부터 물 뿌림을 받고 몸을 깨끗한 물로 씻어야 한다고 보입니다. 하지만 이것이 사실이라면, 누가 물을 뿌려주는 것입니까? 그래서 오늘날 어떤 사람들은 물을 다른 사람에게 뿌려주며 “이것은 예수의 피”라고 말하곤 합니다. 하지만 이는 옳지 않습니다.
이제는 어떤 이도 예수의 피를 뿌릴 수 없습니다. 그러므로 그렇게 말하지 마십시오. 성경은 “…우리가 육신에 뿌림을 받아…”라고 말하지 않았습니다. 성경은 우리의 마음에 뿌려졌다고 말합니다. 이는 마음에 뿌려짐을 의미합니다. 이 구절은 당신의 마음이 이미 악한 양심으로부터 벗어났다고 말합니다. 이것은 계속되는 과정이 아닙니다. 이미 끝났습니다!
로더럼(Rotherham’s)과 같은 다른 번역판에서는 이를 더 명확하게 설명합니다. “우리가 믿음의 충만한 확신 속에서 우리의 마음은 악한 양심으로부터 이미 뿌려졌고 우리의 육신은 순수한 물로 씻겼으니, 진실한 마음으로 가까이 다가가자.” 이 사실을 깨닫지 못한다면 당신은 하나님께서 이미 끝내신 일을 하려 할 것입니다. 그리고 그 일은 소용이 없을 것입니다.
오늘의 본문구절이 “…몸은 맑은 물로 씻었다”고 말한 것은 고린도전서 6:11의 말씀과도 비슷합니다. “너희 중에 이와 같은 자들이 있더니 주 예수 그리스도의 이름과 우리 하나님의 성령 안에서 씻음과 거룩함과 의롭다 하심을 받았느니라.” 할렐루야! 거듭났을 때 당신은 그리스도 안으로 침례(성령님의 침례)를 받았습니다. 당신 안에 거하시기 위해 성령님께서 오셨습니다.
그분이 당신 안에 오신 목적은 당신의 몸을 그분의 성전, 즉 성령님이 지금 거하시는 장막으로 만들기 위함이었습니다. 그러나 성령님은 그 전에 성전을 씻어내셔야 합니다. 성령님은 머무실 그곳을 깨끗하고 거룩하게 만드셔야 합니다. 이것이 성령님이 하시는 일이며, 새로운 탄생이 일어난 그 때 그분은 당신의 육신을 거룩하게 만드셨고, 그분의 집으로 삼으셨습니다. 성령님은 당신의 마음을 그분의 거처로 삼으셨습니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!
고백
나는 주 예수의 이름과 우리 하나님의 성령으로 씻어졌고 거룩해졌으며 의로워졌습니다! 그러므로 나는 의식적으로 하나님의 말씀의 빛과 나의 의의 빛 가운데 걷습니다. 나는 거룩하고 하나님이 보시기에 책망 받거나 꾸짖음 받을 것이 없습니다. 나는 내 영 안에 있는 하나님의 빛으로 나의 세상에 영향을 미치고 있습니다. 나는 많은 사람들이 의로 돌아오게 합니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

Washed And Sanctified
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water”(Hebrews 10:22).
At a glance, our opening verse seems to suggest that we should draw close to God and have our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and then have our bodies washed with pure water. But if that’s true, who’s going to do the sprinkling? This is why some people today sprinkle some liquid on people and say, “This is the blood of Jesus.” But that’s wrong.
Nobody can sprinkle the blood of Jesus today. So, don’t do it. The Bible doesn’t say, “…having our bodies sprinkled…”; rather, it says our hearts. That means it’s the sprinkling of the heart, and what that verse is saying is that your heart has already been sprinkled from an evil conscience. It’s not an ongoing process; it’s been done already!
Some other translations, like the Rotherham’s, put it more clearly. It says, “Let us approach with a genuine heart, in full assurance of faith, having been sprinkled, as to our hearts, from an evil conscience, and bathed, as to our bodies, with pure water.” Hallelujah! If you don’t understand this, you’ll be trying to do what God has already done, and it won’t work.
When it says, “…our bodies washed with pure water,” it’s akin to what we have in 1 Corinthians 6:11: “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” Hallelujah! When you were born again, you were baptised into Christ (Baptism of the Holy Spirit); the Holy Spirit came upon you, to live in you.
His purpose of coming upon you was to make your body His temple, the tabernacle where He now dwells. But first, He must wash that temple; He must purify and sanctify it. That’s His work, and at the New Birth, He sanctified your body and made it His home. He has made your heart His Home! Glory to God!
CONFESSION
I’m washed, sanctified, and justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God! Therefore, consciously, I walk in the light of God’s Word, in the light of my righteousness, knowing that I’m holy, unblameable and unreproveable in His sight. And I’m impacting my world with the light of God in my spirit, turning many to righteousness. Glory to God!
