DEALING WISELY—A CRITICAL ASPECT OF SUCCESS

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8).

The Bible emphasizes the importance of dealing wisely, a principle that can change the trajectory of anyone’s life. This is something extraordinary that meditating on the Word does for you. The Amplified Classic of our theme verse highlights this truth; it says through meditation, “…you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success” (Joshua 1:8 AMPC). This is a critical aspect of success.
The Bible recounts how David, while living in the house of Saul, behaved himself wisely: “David acted wisely in all his ways and succeeded, and the Lord was with him” (1 Samuel 18:14 AMPC). Despite Saul’s hostility and attempts to harm him, David behaved wisely, and that set him apart and paved the way for his eventual rise to kingship.
Some people don’t know how to behave wisely because they’re bereft of God’s Word. Now you can understand why the Bible says to allow the Word of God dwell in you richly in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16). Then in 2 Timothy 3:15, the Bible says the Scriptures are able to make you wise. You can choose to act wisely through consistent meditation on the Word.
You might find yourself in a place where others don’t appreciate you, yet you’re able to conduct yourself wisely and achieve success. The Word of God can make that happen for you. Remember, you can make your way ever prosperous, deal wisely, and have good success through the Word.
Once you grasp this truth, the complaints and limitations of others won’t matter to you. They are not factors to consider in your journey. The only constant is God, and the other factor is you. Take your times of meditation seriously. As you meditate on the Word, you’ll deal wisely and be successful in all your affairs.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the wisdom and understanding your Word imparts to me. I act wisely in every situation, guided by your Word and the Spirit. I refuse to be deterred by hostility or challenges, for I know my success is certain. I make my way prosperous, deal and behave wisely, and I walk in good success continually, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE WATCHMAN’S MANDATE

“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth” (Isaiah 62:6-7).

Notice something profound the Lord did for Israel as read in our opening scripture: He appointed watchmen over Jerusalem. These were intercessors, praying tirelessly for the fulfilment of God’s will. Their role was to persist in prayer until Jerusalem became a praise in the earth.
This is a striking picture of the spiritual responsibility we bear today as God’s people; we’re His king-priests. We’re watchmen—entrusted with the divine mandate to watch and pray. The Lord Jesus Himself emphasized this when He was with His disciples before His arrest. He took Peter, James, and John and shared His heart with them, saying, “My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me” (Matthew 26:38). He needed them to join Him in watching and praying, but they fell asleep.
When Jesus returned and found them sleeping, He said, “Could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation” (Matthew 26:40-41). He expected them to be vigilant in prayer during such a crucial time, yet they were unavailable. This teaches us an important lesson: as watchmen, we must remain spiritually alert and persistent in prayer.
Isaiah 62:7 instructs us to “…give Him no rest, till He establish, and till He make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” Ezekiel 3:17 also highlights our responsibility as watchmen: “Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.”
This is our office—we’re called to stand in the gap and intercede for the fulfilment of God’s purposes on earth. Hallelujah. So never be casual with your times of prayer. The Bible says to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working (James 5:16).

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of being a watchman. I declare that my spiritual eyes are open, and I am vigilant in prayer, interceding for your will to be done here on earth. I’m strengthened to fulfil this responsibility faithfully, by the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

하나님의 축복의 나타남은 하나님의 말씀을 행하는 것에 달려 있습니다. 말씀은 당신이 누구인지, 당신이 무엇을 가지고 있는지, 어떻게 살아야 하는지 알려줍니다. 말씀을 행한다는 것은 그리스도 안에 있는 당신의 정체성, 유업, 위치에 대한 계시와 당신의 행동을 일치시키는 것을 의미합니다. 일관성과 헌신이 필요로 하지만, 그에 대한 결과는 확실합니다.

어린 그리스도인이었던 저는 제 삶과 성경이 말하는바 사이에 충돌이 없도록 하는 것이 중요한 헌신 중 하나였습니다. 저는 일관성을 원했습니다. 저는 하나님의 말씀이 제 삶에 나타나기를 원했습니다. 제 삶이 말씀이 말하는바를 반영하고, 성경을 통해 어떠한 모순 없이 제 삶을 볼 수 있는 삶을 살고 싶었습니다. 따라서 저는 말씀을 행하는 자가 되기로 결단했습니다.
말씀을 행하는 자가 된다는 것은 말씀을 실천하고, 말씀을 따라 행동하고, 말씀의 진리대로 산다는 뜻입니다. 이는 단순히 하나님의 지시를 “순종”하는 것만을 의미하지 않습니다. 기독교에서 우리는 단순히 말씀에 순종하는 것이 아니라 말씀을 행합니다. 말씀은 우리의 생명입니다. 말씀은 우리가 누구이며, 무엇을 가지고 있으며, 어디에 있는지를 정의합니다. 따라서 우리는 말씀을 행하며, 말씀이 말하는 모든 것이 됩니다.

THE BLESSING IS IN DOING THE WORD

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (James 1:22)

The manifestation of God’s blessing is in doing His Word. The Word tells you who you are, what belongs to you, and how to live. Doing the Word means aligning your actions with its revelations about your identity, inheritance, and your place in Christ. It requires consistency and commitment, but the results are undeniable.
James 1:23-25 says, “For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
As a young Christian, one of the most important commitments I made was to ensure there was no conflict between my life and what the Scripture says. I wanted consistency; I wanted the Word of God manifested in my life. I desired to live in such a way that my life reflected what the Word says, and I could read my life from the Scriptures without contradiction. To achieve this, I resolved to be a doer of the Word.
To be a doer of the Word means to put the Word into practice, to act on what it says, and to live according to its truth. It is not just about “obeying” God’s instructions; in Christianity, we don’t merely obey the Word—we do the Word. The Word is our life; it defines who we are, what we have, and where we are. As such, we act it out, becoming everything the Word says we are.
As read in the verses above, the one who fails to do the Word is like someone who looks at himself in a mirror but forgets his appearance the moment he turns away. To be a doer of the Word, you must continually remember what the Word says about you and act accordingly. So, commit to being a doer of the Word and it’ll produce in and for you what it talks about.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the transforming power of your Word. I’m a doer of your Word, and its blessings are manifested in my life. Thank you for the grace and wisdom to continually walk in the light of your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

AN UNCONDITIONAL INSTRUCTION

“Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” (Exodus 20:12).

The Word of God provides clear instructions about the relationship between children and their parents. The apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:1-3 (AMPC) highlights the importance of children obeying and honouring their parents: “CHILDREN, OBEY your parents in the Lord [as His representatives], for this is just and right. Honour (esteem and value as precious) your father and your mother–this is the first commandment with a promise– That all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.”
When you dishonour your parents, it affects your life negatively. Success may come, but it can be fleeting, with cycles of ups and downs, losses, and instability. It’s one of the reasons some people experience unexplainable instability, setbacks, and even premature death.
So, do what the Word says; honour your parents or those who may be standing in that role over you. When you do, the result is clear: “It shall be well with you in life.” Honouring your parents isn’t just about your actions, but also about your attitude. The way you speak to them matters. You must treat them with utmost regard and respect.
Furthermore, observe that God didn’t add any condition to you honouring your parents. He didn’t say, “Honour your father and mother if they treat you well”; no! Their status as your parents is enough qualification for them to be honoured. It makes no difference what issues or challenges they may have; they’re your parents, and you’re obligated to honour them.
If your mother or father is unwell or living in poor conditions, do something about it; show care. Others may disregard them, but they’re your parents, not theirs. You might say, “My parents were very mean to me and didn’t give me the right love and care as a child; therefore, I don’t feel I should honour them.” Well, they’re still your parents, and you have a duty to respect and honour them regardless. You have to do what the Word says.
No matter how much you speak in tongues or demonstrate spiritual fervour, it can’t replace this biblical principle. God’s Word is consistent, and honouring your parents is a divine instruction that brings blessings and ensures your journey in life is pleasant—upward and forward. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for teaching me the importance of honouring my parents and those you’ve placed to watch over me in the Lord. I show them the respect and regard they deserve; thus, my path in life is one of success and victory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE INFLUENCE OF GODLY HERITAGE

“And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children” (Isaiah 54:13).

There’s a huge difference between those who honour God and those who don’t, and this difference extends to their children. Let’s examine this from the Scriptures. Isaiah 49:25 says, “But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.”
What a commitment from God! He promises to fight for those who honour Him, contending with those who trouble them and saving their children. This promise is reinforced in Isaiah 54:13. It says, “And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” This is God’s assurance: children of those who honour Him are taught by the Lord, and they experience great peace.
What about those who don’t know God? Psalm 58:3 reveals their plight: “The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.” The wicked are separated from God even before birth. From the womb, their lives are misdirected, growing up in deceit because they lack the truth of God’s Word.
If you’re reading this and you’re not born again, more so if you’re an offspring of unsaved parents, the Bible explains why your life might seem directionless, and spiritual things appear incomprehensible to you. You were estranged from God from birth, programmed to follow a path away from Him.
This isn’t something you can change by your efforts alone. You need the mercy and grace of God. Ask the Lord to come into your heart and give you a new life. You can do this right now by turning to the “Prayer Of Salvation” page, say the prayers, meaning them from your heart, and you’d receive the life and nature of God.
For parents who are already in Christ, their children are spiritually impacted even from the womb. A child conceived by Spirit-filled parents carries the blessing of God’s Spirit before birth. This is the stark difference between those born to parents in Christ and those who aren’t.

PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I pray for those who are yet to know you, or are estranged from you, that they receive your mercy and grace and come into the light of your glorious salvation, and walk in the truth. Thank you for the blessing of your Spirit, and new life you give to all who call upon you for salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THERE’S PROFIT IN ALL LABOUR

“In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury” (Proverbs 14:23).

The opening verse draws a stark contrast between working hard, being diligent, and idle talk or laziness. The “idle talker” or lazy person tends to poverty. The term penury is synonymous with poverty, lack, want, or being broke. Proverbs 14:23 (CEV) says, “Hard work is worthwhile, but empty talk will make you poor.”
People who work hard receive something for their efforts; their labour produces results. But there are those who engage in endless chatter; they criticize everything. They know what the government, the governor, the mayor, and even the president ought to be doing. They have opinions on every subject, but do nothing themselves.
The Bible is clear about such individuals: their mere talk, without the right actions, will lead to lack and poverty. Idle talkers may sound knowledgeable and convincing, but their words have no value. No wonder, the Word emphasizes the importance of diligence and warns against idleness. Proverbs 10:4-5 says, “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: the hand of the diligent maketh rich. He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.”
Proverbs 12:24 further contradistinguishes between the diligent and the sluggard; it says, “The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.” God’s plan for you, however, is far beyond simply working hard to avoid poverty; rather, it is for you to prosper in every area of your life. He expresses this clearly in 3 John 1:2. It says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
This is God’s desire for you—to experience true prosperity in every dimension of your life: spiritually, materially, and physically. Therefore, choose to be productive. Engage diligently in your work or business and in what God has called you to do. Align yourself with God’s vision of prosperity, applying wisdom and diligence in your pursuits. And because God delights in your prosperity, He’ll bless your work and cause you to walk in abundance and unending supply. Praise God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the wisdom of your Word that guides me in the path of productivity and prosperity. As a diligent and productive steward, my works are blessed and I’m prospering in every area of my life, even as my soul prospers. I enjoy unending prosperity and abundance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

HIS ULTIMATE PURPOSE

“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one” (John 17:22).

When God made man, He wasn’t satisfied with man just looking like Him or functioning like Him. That was only the beginning. His ultimate goal was oneness with man. He created us to live in us and be inseparably one with us. The Lord Jesus said, “I am in the Father, and the Father is in me.” God has done the same with us and for us. This was His dream from the beginning.
Colossians 1:26-27 says, “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” 1 Corinthians 6:17 says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” This is more than a mere resemblance with the Lord. It’s like When Jesus said, “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father,” it was much more than just resemblance or functionality; it was a revelation of oneness.
God wasn’t just seeking a house to dwell in; His ultimate purpose is to reveal His glory through you to the nations. When the Bible speaks of nations, it doesn’t only refer to countries; rather, it signifies people who are connected by shared interests or characteristics. The Greek word is “ethnos”—a group of people with common interests or ideologies.
Recognize yourself as inseparably one with God, sent by Him to reveal His glory to your world. Wherever you are right now, reveal His glory in that place. This is your calling. You’re a God-carrier, the effulgence of His glory. And because His glory is in you, you can manifest it and impact your world with it. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for making me a carrier of your glory to the nations. I function in my calling with wisdom, excellence, and grace, influencing and transforming my world for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Get A Hold Of The Word

GET A HOLD OF THE WORD

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made” (John 1:1-3).

Everything that God does is through the agency of His Word. This is a very fundamental and essential truth to always be conscious of. God’s Word is His creative material. From Genesis 1, we learn that God created everything through His Word. The Bible says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). Then, verse 3 says, “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
His Word brought order and life to what was a chaotic mass. Then, over in the Gospels, the Bible declares, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:1-3).
Everything was made by the Word, and without the Word, nothing exists. This understanding reveals the limitless power of God’s Word. When you get a hold of the Word, you can do anything. Someone might ask, “If this is true, why are there so many in the world who are suffering? Why are so many in pain?”
God’s response to the suffering and pain in the world is Jesus; and who is Jesus? He is the Word. We read that earlier in John 1:1-3. Psalms 107:20 says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” The Word heals, saves, and delivers. It brings hope, healing, restoration, and answers to life’s toughest questions.
If you’ve been sick, and given up by the doctors to die, what you need is to get a hold of the Word in your spirit. In Christ, you have an incorruptible, indestructible, imperishable life that destroys sickness, disease and infirmities. Get a hold of this reality and create your victory. Everything you need is in the Word of God. Therefore, keep affirming the Word.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the power of your Word, which is creative and transformative. As I meditate on and declare your Word, I create a life of victory, health, and success. Your Word is at work in me, producing results that glorify you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

DIVINE LANGUAGE WITH HOLY GHOST ACCENT

“I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all” (1 Corinthians 14:18).

When we speak in tongues, we speak a unique and divine language that transcends nationalities, ethnicities and regional accents. You most likely can’t determine someone’s land of nativity, country or cultural background by hearing them pray in tongues. Whether an individual is Indian, American, British, Chinese, or Nigerian, their prayers sound unified and distinct because when we speak in tongues, it’s a divine language with Holy Ghost accent.
I once conducted a study on individuals praying in tongues from different parts of the world, and the results were phenomenal. I had participants record their prayers without any visual context—no pictures, no videos. As I listened to the audio recordings, I noticed something remarkable: it was impossible to determine where each individual was from or to identify their specific accent or nationalities. This is because praying in tongues is a spiritual language that’s not tied to earthly regions or dialects; it’s heavenly.
Furthermore, I considered groups from various locations, separated by vast distances, all praying in tongues. Despite their geographic separation, they all sounded as though they originated from the same place. And indeed, they truly are from the same spiritual place—Christ. Think about people in distant locations, speaking the same spiritual language!
It helps to understand what the Bible says, “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:13). How could we all have this spiritual language, except for the fact that it’s by the same Holy Spirit? This is undeniable spiritual evidence of the reality and power of His ministry in and through us. Hallelujah!
So, speak in tongues more than ever before, and you’ll see your life move from one level of glory to another. Speak in tongues every day and everywhere. Take this seriously like the Apostle Paul who said, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all” (1 Corinthians 14:18). He spoke in tongues more than all of them in the entire church in Corinth combined. This shows how integral speaking in tongues was to his life and ministry. Paul understood that it was a divine language unique only to us.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the gift of the Spirit and the blessing of speaking in tongues. I am edified, energized, strengthened, and aligned with your perfect will for my life, and I’m led in the path of unending victory and success, as I speak in tongues, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Your Words Carry Life

“하나님이 이르시되 빛이 있으라 하시니 빛이 있었고”(창 1:3)

당신이 말할 때마다 그 말에서 생명이 나옵니다. 당신의 말은 생명을 운반합니다. 이것이 바로 당신이 직면한 문제와 어려움을 말해서는 안 되는 이유입니다. 당신의 승리를 선포하십시오. 당신의 입에 바른 말을 두십시오. 당신의 상황을 기반으로 말하지 마십시오. 오히려 하나님과 일치하여 말하십시오(히 13:6).

삶의 모든 것은 말에 반응하도록 하나님께서 프로그램하셨습니다. 모든 것이 말씀으로 창조되었기 때문입니다. 예를 들어, 민수기 20:8에서 하나님은 모세에게 반석에 말하라고 지시하셨습니다. “… 너는 반석에게 명령하여 물을 내라 하라 네가 그 반석이 그들에게 물을 내게 하여 회중과 그들의 짐승에게 마시게 할지니라.”
하나님은 모세에게 반석에 말하라고 말씀하셨습니다. 반석은 생명과 지능과 기억을 가지고 있었기 때문입니다. 만약 창조가 하나님의 말씀으로 이루어졌다면, 모든 입자, 물질 또는 물체에 소리 코드가 내재되어 있다는 의미입니다. 따라서, 그들은 우리가 말로 내뱉는 소리 코드에 모두 반응할 수 있습니다. 그러므로 당신이 원하는 삶을 창조하기 위해 올바른 소리 코드, 즉 올바른 말을 사용하십시오. 말로 당신의 삶을 영광에서 영광으로 변화시키십시오. 할렐루야!

기도
내 삶은 하나님의 영광을 위한 것입니다! 신성한 지혜는 내 말에서 들리고 내 행동에서 나타납니다. 하나님의 말씀은 내 삶에서 승리하고 나를 더 큰 수준의 성공, 승리, 번영으로 이끕니다. 나는 신성한 건강 가운데 살고, 끊임없이 평안과 안전 가운데 거합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

YOUR WORDS CARRY LIFE

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light” (Genesis 1:3). 

Every time you speak, life emits from your words. Your words carry life. It’s the reason you must never talk to promote the problems and difficulties you’re facing; declare your victories. Have the right words in your mouth. Don’t speak on the basis of your situation; rather, speak in agreement with God (Hebrews 13:6).
Jesus said in Mark 11:23 that you shall have what you say. It was God Himself who gave us that precedence; He spoke creation into being in Genesis chapter 1. It reveals that not only do words contain energy, they carry life. Now you can understand what Jesus said in John 6:63, “…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” Remember that as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17); so like Him, the words that you speak, they are spirit and they are life. Hallelujah!
Everything in life has been programmed by God to respond to words, for they were all created by words. In Numbers 20:8 for example, God instructed Moses to speak to the rock: “… speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.”
God told Moses to talk to the rock because the rock had life, with intelligence and memory. If creation came about by reason of words spoken by God, it means that there are sound codes embedded in every particle, matter or object; therefore, they can all respond to the sound codes we release through our words. So use the right sound codes—the right words—to create the life that you desire. Transform your life from glory to glory with words. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
My life is for the glory of God! Divine wisdom is heard in my words and seen in my actions. The Word of God prevails in my life and catapults me to greater levels of success, victory, and prosperity. I walk in divine health, and dwell continually in peace and safety, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
