하나님의 뜻을 아는 것
Knowing His Will
“… 너희로 하여금 모든 신령한 지혜와 총명에 하나님의 뜻을 아는 것으로 채우게 하시고”(골 1:9)
어려운 상황에 처해 있을지라도 당신이 하나님의 뜻 가운데 있다는 것을 알고 있다면, 당신은 동요하거나 결과들에 개의치 않을 것입니다. 그러나 하나님의 뜻을 모르는 사람들은 종종 상황으로 인해 심기가 불편해집니다. 그들은 도전을 마주할 때 걱정을 하거나 화를 내게 됩니다.
하나님의 완전한 뜻을 알고 항상 그 뜻 가운데 사는 것이 중요합니다. 당신은 “하나님의 뜻을 아는 것이 정말 가능합니까?”라고 물을 수도 있습니다. 물론입니다! 당신은 그분의 자녀입니다. 예수님은 당신이 아버지의 뜻을 알도록 왕국의 신비들이 당신에게 주어졌다고 말씀하셨습니다. 다른 말로 표현하자면, 그 신비들을 아는 것은 당신의 권리입니다.
또한 당신이 말씀을 공부할 때, 아버지의 심령과 생각, 계획, 목적들이 당신에게 드러납니다. 그분의 빛이 당신의 심령에 밝혀집니다. 진리가 밝혀지고, 당신에게 계시가 주어집니다.
오늘의 본문 구절에서 사도 바울의 기도를 통해, 하나님의 영은 이것이 그분의 자녀들을 향한 하나님의 갈망임을 보여줍니다. 그분은 우리 중 누구도 그분이 원하시는 바에 대해 의심하는 것을 원치 않으십니다. 그분은 우리 모두가 그분의 뜻에 대해 완전한, 깊은, 분명한 지식을 알기 원하십니다. 우리가 인생의 어떤 것에 대해서도 혼란스러워하지 않기를 원하십니다.
많은 사람들이 무엇을 해야 할지 즉 어떤 행동을 취해야 할지 모르기 때문에 좌절과 두려움과 불안에 빠져 있습니다. 그러나 당신은 그래서는 안됩니다. 호세아 6:3(한글킹제임스)은 말합니다. “만일 우리가 계속 주를 알고자 하면, 그때 우리가 알게 되리라…”
하나님의 말씀을 공부하기 위해 부지런히 노력하십시오. 그렇게 할 때 신비를 밝혀 주시는 성령님께서 당신에게 성공의 신비와 비밀들에 관한 통찰력을 주실 것입니다. 그분은 진리의 영이시며, 우리를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도해 주시고, 우리에게 장래의 일들을 알려 주십니다(요 16:13).
성령님을 받음으로써 당신은 아버지의 완전하고, 정밀하고, 정확한 뜻을 알 수 있는 능력과 권세를 가지게 됩니다. 또한 그분은 당신이 받은 지식들을 어떻게 적용하는지에 대한 이해를 주십니다.
하나님의 말씀에 더 많은 시간을 할애하십시오. 당신이 말씀을 묵상할 때 성령님께서 당신의 삶에 하나님의 말씀의 실재를 밝혀 주실 것입니다.
기도
귀하신 주님, 내주하시는 성령님을 주시고 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 나의 유업을 누릴 수 있게 하시는 특권에 감사드립니다. 나는 영원히 성령님께 지도와 인도를 받으므로 당신의 완전한 뜻 가운데 살고 있음을 선언합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Knowing His Will
…that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; (Colossians 1:9).
If you were in a difficult situation and understood that you were right in the centre of God’s will, you’d be unperturbed, irrespective of the consequences. But those who don’t know the will of God often get ruffled by circumstances. They become worried and exasperated when they face challenges.
It’s important that you know, and walk in God’s perfect will at all times. You may ask, “Is it really possible to know the will of God?” Absolutely! You’re His offspring. Jesus said it’s given to you to know the will of the Father—the mysteries of the Kingdom. In other words, it’s your right to know them.
Moreover, as you study the Word, the Father’s heart, His thoughts, plans and purpose are unveiled to you. His light dawns in your heart; there’s an unveiling of truth; revelation is granted you.
The Spirit of God praying through the Apostle Paul, in our opening verse, expresses this as God’s desire for His children. He doesn’t want anyone of us in doubt as to what He wants. He wants us to have full, deep, and clear knowledge of His will; not confused about anything in life.
A whole lot of people are in frustration, fear and anxiety, because they don’t know what to do; what steps to take. But it shouldn’t be so for you. The Bible says in Hosea 6:3, “Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord….”
Be diligent to study God’s Word, and as you do, the Holy Spirit, the unveiler of mysteries, will grant you insight into the mysteries and secrets of success. He’s the Spirit of truth, and He guides us into all truth and reveals to us things to come (John 16:13).
Having received the Holy Spirit, you have the capacity and the power to know the full, precise, and accurate will of the Father. He also grants you the understanding of how to apply the knowledge you have received.
Spend more time in the Word of God. As you meditate on the Word, the Holy Spirit will bring its reality to light in your life.
Prayer
Precious Lord, How grateful I am for the privilege of having the Holy Spirit living in me and helping me enjoy the blessings that are mine in Christ Jesus. I declare that I’m walking in your perfect will, because I’m forever led and guided by the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
