Predestined For Glory
“곧 창세 전에 그리스도 안에서 우리를 택하사 우리로 사랑 안에서 그 앞에 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려고”(엡 1:4)
그리스도인인 우리는 사랑 안에서 하나님 앞에 거룩하고 흠이 없도록 창세 전에 그리스도 안에서 선택되었습니다. 창세 때부터 하나님은 그리스도의 오심과 죽으심으로 세상을 구원하시고, 그분 안으로 들어오는 사람은 누구나 영화롭게 될 것을 승인하셨습니다. 게다가, 우리는 그리스도 안에서 선택받았고 또한 흠 없게 되었습니다. “…우리로 사랑 안에서 그 앞에 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려고”(엡 1:4)
우리의 모든 잘못과 실수와 결점들에도 불구하고 어떻게 우리가 흠 없게 될 수 있습니까? 예수님이 우리의 흠을 가져가셨기 때문입니다. 성경은 말씀합니다. “전에 악한 행실로 멀리 떠나 마음으로 원수가 되었던 너희를 이제는 그의 육체의 죽음으로 말미암아 화목하게 하사 너희를 거룩하고 흠 없고 책망할 것이 없는 자로 그 앞에 세우고자 하셨으니”(골 1:21-22) 그분은 십자가에서 우리를 위해 모든 일을 하셨고, 그로 인해 우리는 그분의 의를 상속받은 자가 되었습니다. 우리는 의롭게 되고 거룩하며 정화되었고 흠 없게 되었습니다. 당신은 거룩하거나 흠 없는 자가 되기 위해 고군분투할 필요가 없습니다. 당신을 받아달라고 그분을 감동시키려고 노력할 필요가 없습니다. 그분은 이미 당신을 용납하셨습니다.
에베소서 1:5-6은 이렇게 말씀합니다. “그 기쁘신 뜻대로 우리를 예정하사 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 자기의 아들들이 되게 하셨으니 이는 그의 사랑하시는 자 안에서 우리에게 거저 주시는 바 그의 은혜의 영광을 찬송하게 하려는 것이라” 하나님은 창세 전에 이 모든 것이 작동되게 했습니다. 그분은 당신이 아픔과 실패와 오늘날 세상의 부패를 겪지 않고 영광스러운 삶을 살도록 계획하셨습니다. 그분은 당신이 그분의 선하심의 증거요, 의의 표현이며, 그분의 영광의 광채가 되도록 계획하셨습니다. 할렐루야!
기도
복되신 아버지, 창세 전에 저를 그리스도 안에서 선택해 주셔서 감사합니다. 예수님께서 제 모든 흠과 수치를 가져가시고 제게는 그분의 영광과 의를 주셨기 때문에, 저는 흠 없고 거룩합니다. 저는 의 안에서 자유롭게 살고, 승리자이자 챔피언으로 이 세상을 다스립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

PREDESTINED FOR GLORY
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love (Ephesians 1:4).
As Christians, we were chosen in Christ, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blame before Him in love. We were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world. From the beginning of time, God set the seal of approval, that when Christ shall come and die, and provide salvation for the world, everyone who would come into Him would be glorified.
Moreover, not only are we chosen in Christ, we’re also without blame: “…that we should be holy and without blame before him in love” (Ephesians 1:4). How could we be without blame, with all our mistakes, errors, and faults? Jesus took our blame. The Bible says, “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled. In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight” (Colossians 1:21-22). He did all that for us on the Cross, so we could become inheritors of His righteousness; justified, holy, sanctified, and without blame. You don’t have to struggle to be holy or blameless; you don’t have to try to impress Him to accept you; He already accepted you.
Ephesians 1:5-6 says, “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” God set all of these in motion before the foundation of the world. He planned that you’d live the glory life, void of sickness, failure, and the decadence of today’s world. He planned that you’d be the proof of His goodness, the expression of His righteousness, and the effulgence of His glory. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Blessed Father, I thank you for having chosen me in Christ, before the foundation of the world. I’m holy and without blame, because Jesus took away my blame and shame, and gave me His glory and righteousness. I’m free to live in righteousness, and reign in this world as a victor and a champion, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
