오직 말씀만이 중요합니다
Only The Word Counts
“그러나 우리나 혹 하늘로부터 온 천사라도 우리가 너희에게 전한 복음 외에 다른 복음을 전하면 저주를 받을 지어다”(갈 1:8)
앞일을 알기 위해 죽은 자들과 접촉해도 괜찮다고 생각하는 사람들이 있습니다. 그것은 잘못된 일입니다. 구약에서 하나님은 이스라엘 자손들에게 그런 행동을 하지 말라고 구체적으로 경고했습니다. 이스라엘의 왕이었던 사울이 그렇게 했다가 곤경에 빠졌습니다.
죽은 자들은 앞날을 알지 못합니다. 그러므로 미래를 알려고 그들에게 물어보는 것은 터무니없는 행동입니다. 오직 성령님만이 미래를 아시므로, 우리는 그분이 주시는 통찰력을 통해 밝혀주실 때 장래의 일들을 알 수 있습니다.
예수님은 요한복음 16:13에서 말씀하셨습니다. “그러나 진리의 성령이 오시면 그가 너희를 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시리니 그가 스스로 말하지 않고 오직 들을 것을 말하며 장래 일을 너희에게 알리시리라” 죽은 사람의 혼령이 당신에게 어떤 비밀을 밝혀주거나 미래에 대한 통속적인 정보를 제공해주리라 기대하지 말고 성령님을 신뢰하십시오.
물론, 성령님이 우리에게 하시는 사역은 여러 방식으로 나타납니다. 그분은 어떤 메시지나 말씀을 당신에게 전달하고자 당신의 목사님이나 형제, 자매의 얼굴을 사용하실 수도 있습니다. 그분은 그런 일을 하십니다. 또는 이미 고인이 되신 분의 얼굴이나 목소리를 통해 당신에게 말씀하실 수도 있습니다. 그분은 영원하시기 때문에 그렇게 하실 수 있습니다. 그분은 제약을 받지 않으십니다.
그러나 당신이 들은 모든 것은 계시된 진리의 본체인 곧 하나님의 말씀과 반드시 일치되어야 합니다. 당신이 무슨 말을 들었든지, 누구로부터 들었든지, 그것이 말씀과 일치하지 않는다면, 폐기하십시오. 메시지가 말씀과 일치하는 것이 중요합니다.
천사가 당신에게 메시지를 전해주었다 해서 그것이 더 신빙성이 있는 것은 아닙니다. 메시지에 신빙성과 능력을 부여하는 것은 그 메시지가 계시된 하나님의 말씀과 일치하느냐 입니다. 같은 이유로 우리는 모든 예언과 영들이 하나님께로부터 왔는지 알아보기 위해 판단해야 합니다(고전 14:29; 요일 4:1).

복되신 아버지, 제가 아버지의 영원한 말씀을 통해 확실한 인도를 받을 뿐만 아니라 말씀이 제 영에서 밝게 밝혀주시니 감사합니다. 아버지의 말씀은 제 생명이므로 말씀에 대한 믿음으로써 저는 상황을 다스리고 왕께 영광을 드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

ONLY THE WORD COUNTS
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than
that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed (Galatians 1:8).
There’re those who think it’s okay to try and contact the dead for information about their future. It’s wrong. In the Old Testament, God specifically warned the children of Israel not to do it. Saul, the king of Israel, did it and got into trouble for it. The dead don’t know the future; so, it’s even absurd to try to consult with them about the future. Only the Holy Ghost knows the future, and through the insight He grants us, we’re able to know things about the future as He reveals them to us. Jesus said, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come” (John 16:13). Trust the Holy Spirit: instead of hoping that, somehow, the ghost of a dead person will
reveal some secrets to you or give you some esoteric information about your future. Of course, there’re manifestations of the Holy Spirit in which He ministers to us in different ways. He can even use the face of your pastor, a brother, or sister to bring you a message or a word; He does such things. He could talk to you through the voice and the face of someone who has passed on to glory. He can do it, because He’s eternity; He’s not restricted. However, everything you hear must be consistent with the revealed body of truth—God’s Word. No matter what you hear, and from whom you hear it, if it doesn’t square up with the Word, discard it. The consistency of the message with the Scriptures is what counts. That an angel brought you a message doesn’t make it any more authentic. What authenticates a message and gives it power is its consistency with the revealed Word of God. It’s the same reason we’re to judge all prophecies (1 Corinthians 14:29), and test all spirits to see if they be of God (1 John 4:1).
Prayer
Blessed Father, thank you for the sure guidance I receive from your eternal Word, and the light it unveils to my spirit. Your Word is my life, and by my faith in your Word, I rule over circumstances, and bring glory to your Majesty, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
