Plead The Cause Of The Nations
“너는 나에게 기억이 나게 하라 우리가 함께 변론하자 너는 말하여 네가 의로움을 나타내라”(사 43:26)
많은 국가가 수년에 걸쳐 부당한 빚과 속박에 매여 있으며, 어둠의 세력이 그들을 대적하여 일하므로 스스로 자유해질 수 없습니다. 많은 사람들이 억압적인 금융 시스템에 시달리며 자산이 무가치해짐에 따라 자신의 재정적 가치가 눈앞에서 떨어지는 것을 끊임없이 지켜봅니다. 이 모든 일은 인간이 초래한 것이지만 영적인 세력에 의해 촉진된 것입니다.
우리가 중간에 서서 예수 그리스도의 이름을 사용하여 열방과 사람들에 대한 사탄의 권세와 영향력을 깨지 않는 한 어떤 변화도 일어나지 않을 것입니다. 그들을 막을 수 있는 사람은 우리뿐입니다. 우리는 예수 이름을 사용하여 사탄의 일을 대적하고, 무너뜨리며, 변화를 일으켜야 합니다. 우리는 열방의 일들을 변론해야 합니다.
이사야 43:26은 우리에게 “[하나님을] 기억하라”와 “우리를 변론하라”고 요청합니다. RSV 번역본은 “나를 기억하게 하라. 우리가 함께 변론하자. 너의 일을 제시하여 네가 옳다는 것을 증명하자”라고 말합니다. 확대번역본도 같은 진리를 말합니다. “나를 기억하게 하라 [너의 공로를 나에게 상기시켜라]. 우리가 함께 변론하고 변호하자. 너의 주장을 내세워 네가 의롭다(옳다)는 것을 증명하도록 하자”
70인역에서는 이사야서 1:18을 다음과 같이 말합니다. “오라, 우리가 함께 추론하자, 라고 주님께서 말씀하신다.” 메시지 성경은 이를 훨씬 더 분명하게 표현합니다. “여기 와 앉으라. 한번 끝까지 따져보자.” 바로 이것이 우리가 중보 기도 중에 하는 일입니다. 이는 논쟁적인 기도입니다. 우리는 중간에 서서 열방에서 우리가 원하는 대로 어떤 일들이 일어나야 하는 강력한 이유를 제시해야 합니다.
열방은 고난, 고통, 테러, 인위적인 식량 부족의 고통에 시달려서는 안 됩니다. 부당한 빚이나 억압적인 제도에 매여서는 안 됩니다. 그래서 우리는 열방의 일들에 대해 가능한 한 진지하고 열정적이어야 합니다. 우리가 그들을 위해 기도할 때, 열방에 합법적인 승리가 있을 것입니다. 따라서 기도할 때, 열방의 일들을 변론하십시오. 주님의 뜻이 열방에서 흥왕하고, 그들이 억압적인 조약들과 악한 연합에서 벗어남을 선포하십시오. 이 일을 중요하게 여기십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 부당한 부채와 해를 끼치는 조약에 고통받던 열방의 지도자들이 그러한 냉혹한 조약들로부터 즉시 자유해지길 기도합니다. 그들이 악하고 불합리한 시스템과 개인들로부터 받은 경제적, 정치적 속박에서 자신의 나라와 국민을 벗어나게 하도록 바른 결정을 하고 바른 행동을 하도록 용기와 지혜를 주니 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

PLEAD THE CAUSE OF THE NATIONS
“Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified” (Isaiah 43:26).
Many nations have been entangled in unjust debts and bondage over the years, and as such, can’t free themselves because there are forces of darkness that are working against them. There’re many under oppressive financial systems, who constantly see their financial value deplete before their eyes as their assets become worthless. All these are man-made, but instigated by spiritual forces.
Except we stand in the gap and use the Name of Jesus Christ to break the power and influence of Satan over these nations and peoples, nothing will change. We’re the only ones who can stop them. We have to use the Name of Jesus to confront and dismantle the works of Satan, and effect a change. We must plead the cause of the nations.
Isaiah 43:26 calls us to “put [God] in remembrance” and “plead our cause.” The Revised Standard Version (RSV) says, “Put me in remembrance, let us argue together; set forth your case, that you may be proved right.” The Amplified Classic echoes the same truth: “Put me in remembrance [remind me of your merits]; let us plead and argue together. Set forth your case, that you may be justified (proved right).”
In the Septuagint, Isaiah 1:18 reads, “Come, let us reason together, saith the Lord.” The Message Translation puts it even more plainly: “Come, sit down. Let us argue this out.” This is what we do in intercessory prayer; it’s an argumentative prayer. It requires us to stand in the gap, to present strong reasons why things must happen the way we want them to, in the nations of the world.
The nations of the world shouldn’t be under the pangs of hardships, pain, terrorism, or artificial food shortage. The nations shouldn’t be entangled in unjust debts or oppressive systems; that’s why we must be as earnest and passionate as possible about their causes. As we pray for them, there’ll be legal victories for all such nations. So in your times of prayer, plead the cause of the nations; declare that the will of the Lord prevails in the nations and they’re extricated from oppressive treaties and detrimental associations. Take this seriously.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I pray for leaders of nations who have been subjected to unjust debts and detrimental treaties, that they are immediately liberated from such callous treaties. Thank you for granting them the courage and wisdom to make the right decisions and take the right actions that extricate their nations and people from the economic and political bondage imposed by wicked and unreasonable systems and individuals, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
