당신이 원하는 만큼 가져가십시오
TAKE As Much As You Want
“한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다”(롬 5:17)
위 구절에서 “받다”라는 단어는 그리스어 “람바노(Lambano)”이며, 무언가를 소유하고 당신의 것으로 만든다는 의미입니다. 또한 무언가를 붙잡거나, 잡거나, 당신의 것으로 만든다는 의미입니다. 이는 무언가가 당신의 손에 떨어지기를 수동적으로 기다리는 것을 의미하지 않습니다. 성경은 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 “람바노”하는 자들이, 즉 넘쳐흐르는 은혜를 받는 자들이 생명 안에서 통치할 것이라고 말합니다.
당신은 얼마나 많은 은혜를 원하며, 무엇을 위해 은혜를 필요로 합니까? 주님께서 당신에게 말씀하십니다. “은혜를 구하라! 네가 원하는 만큼 가져가라!” 이는 디모데후서 2:1에서 바울이 디모데에게 한 권면을 떠올리게 합니다. “내 아들아 그러므로 너는 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 은혜 가운데서 강하고” 다시 말해, 은혜의 유익을 누리십시오. 당신이 원하는 만큼 은혜를 취하십시오! 은혜에 관해서는, 당신이 취할 수 있는 만큼 가져갈 수 있습니다. 그러나 의는 모든 사람에게 동일합니다.
그래서 은혜에 대해 설명할 때 사용한 “넘치게”(원문에서는 abundance, 풍부함) 단어 앞에는 정관사를 사용하지 않습니다. 그러나 의(the gift of righteousness)를 설명할 때는 정관사가 붙습니다. 그러나, 은혜와 의 모두 당신이 기다리거나 “노력”해서 받는 것이 아닙니다. 당신은 은혜와 의를 소유합니다.
의롭게 되기 위해 “노력”하지 마십시오. 당신이 아무리 노력하더라도 결코 스스로 의로워질 수 없기 때문입니다. 오히려, 하나님의 의를 받아들이십시오. 하나님의 의와 넘치는 은혜를 취하십시오. 당신의 산업을 위한 은혜를 받으십시오. 예술이나 과학 분야의 거장이 되기 위한 은혜를 받아들이십시오. 당신의 직장, 사업, 혹은 커리어에서 거장이 되기 위한 은혜를 받으십시오. 다른 사람들이 당신을 보고 놀라도록 당신의 분야에서 마에스트로, 불가사의한 존재가 되십시오. 바로 그것이 하나님께서 당신의 삶을 향해 원하시는 바입니다.
당신이 하나님의 넘치는 은혜 안에서 기능할 때, 하나님은 세상 사람들, 심지어 천사들과 권세자들에게 당신을 자랑하십니다. “이는 이제 교회로 말미암아 하늘에 있는 통치자들과 권세들에게 하나님의 각종 지혜를 알게 하려 하심이니”(엡 3:10) 할렐루야!
기도
자비로우신 아버지, 내 삶에 역사하는 하나님의 넘치는 은혜에 감사드립니다. 그 은혜 덕분에 내가 하는 모든 일에서 탁월하며 그리스도 안에 있는 나의 목적을 성취합니다. 나는 내 세상에서 경이로운 존재이자 거장입니다. 나는 하나님의 은혜로 나아가기 때문입니다. 하나님의 은혜는 하나님의 말씀에 대한 지식을 통해 계속해서 내 삶에서 배가됩니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

TAKE AS MUCH AS YOU WANT
“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17).
The word “receive” in the verse above is the Greek, “Lambano,” and it means to take possession of something and make it yours; to seize or take a hold of something by yourself, and make it yours. It doesn’t mean passively waiting in anticipation for something to drop in your hands. The Bible says those who “lambano” abundance of grace—an overflowing of grace—and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life.
How much grace do you want, and for what do you require it? The Lord is saying to you, “Go for it! Take as much as you want!” It reminds of Paul’s counsel to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:1; he said, “Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” In other words, take advantage of the grace; take as much of it as you want! When it comes to grace, it’s as much as you can take; but for righteousness, it’s the same for everybody.
That’s why for grace, you don’t find the use of the definite article before the word, “abundance”; it is “they which receive abundance of grace,” not “the abundance of grace.” But for righteousness, there’s a definite article: “they which receive…the gift of righteousness….” However, in both cases, you don’t wait or “try” to become; you TAKE possession.
Don’t “try” on your own to become righteous, because no matter how much you try, you’ll never attain righteousness on your own. Rather, embrace His righteousness; take His righteousness and abundance of grace. Receive grace for your industry, to be a master of the Arts, a master of Sciences, a master in your job, business or career. Receive grace to be a maestro, an enigma in your field, such that others would wonder at you. That’s what God wants for your life.
As you function in His abundant grace, He brags with you and shows you off to the people of the world and even to angels and principalities: “To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God” (Ephesians 3:10). Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Gracious Father, I thank you for your abundant grace at work in my life, which causes me to excel in all that I do and fulfill my purpose in Christ. I’m a wonder to my world, because I’m piloted by your grace, which continually multiplies in my life through my knowledge of your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
